OKAY IVE BEEN IMAGINING A HAWKS X BAKUGOUS OLDER BROTHER READER?? okay but here me out bro, reader has been dating hawks for a while now, occasional family dinners at readers house with his parents, not brother, due to the fact that he’s training.
reader never brought up the fact that his younger brother goes to ua, and hawks never said anything about teaching 1a gym time-to-time, one day, reader goes to pick up katsuki early from school, and he realizes hawks is teaching, basically how everyone would react to one, finding out bakugou has a brother, and two he’s dating hawks??
(ps, hawks knew of readers last name, but never thought anything of it,)
big bro
keigo takami x male! older bakugou brother! reader
genre: fluff and slight crack oneshot (1,300ish words)
notes: i’m not a massive fan of how i wrote this (i don’t think it’s very good) but it’s been sitting in my drafts for months so here you go
synopsis: reader is katsuki's older brother who is dating hawks -- katsuki doesn't know reader is dating hawks, and hawks doesn't know katsuki is reader's brother. it stays that way until reader has to pick up katsuki from school early while hawks is teaching.

Principal Nezu is shorter than you expect.
You expected him to be a man-sized rat, not a rat-sized man; though you suppose that isn’t an apt description either, given that he’s at least 2 feet tall and most rats aren’t 2 feet tall.
Regardless, he's still pretty intimidating when you run into him in the hall and he starts to ask you what you're doing.
"I'm looking for Bakugou Katsuki -- uh, my little brother. My parents wanted me to pick him up early since we're leaving today to go on a trip." Nezu seriously makes you nervous.
“Bakugou Katsuki is in Hero Training as of right now. You’ll be able to find him in the gym!” He smiles at you, teeth surprisingly white for a rodent. “Make sure to alert his teacher before you leave,” Nezu continues, an unnerving glint in his abyss-like eyes. You decide not to ask why he knows Katsuki’s timetable by heart.
“Sure. Thanks, Principal Nezu,” you smile, offering him a handshake kindly.
“Anytime, Bakugou-san.”
As you step into the gym, the first thing you notice is the smell of sweat. That, and the temperature. Despite the amount of heat emanating from the fire quirks of a select few and the body heat of everyone in the gym, it’s — surprisingly — rather cool. UA's unflinching ability to invest copious amounts of money into air conditioning was impressive. Your eyes trail across the sweeping ceilings and expensive equipment, whistling lowly. I should come here more often.
1-A looks to be split into pairs — sparring, maybe? — each student difficult to view clearly under the thin blanket of steam and smoke that surrounds them. Katsuki, however, is easy to spot among them. His explosions light up the room, the sound of the loud booms only rivalled by his rage-fuelled yelling. You watch, amused. Glad he’s… letting that out.
As much as you didn’t want to interrupt class (the idea of 20 different teenagers having their undivided attention on you was a terrifying thought), the teacher was nowhere in sight and you were running out of time. “Katsuki!” you call, waving at the angry red glare that lands on you. The boy, in response, rolls his eyes snidely and stays rooted on the spot.
You sigh. Little brothers are so goddamn annoying. “Let’s go, dude,” you urge, emphasising your words with a vague ‘hurry up’ gesture. He scowls, but obliges nonetheless, walking slowly over with his hands shoved into his pockets. Once he's in front of you, he stops.
“My teacher isn’t here. I can’t leave yet.”
“Isn’t it their job to, you know, teach? Where the fuck did they go?” You furrow your brows.
“Fuck if I know,” Katsuki responds, matching your curses with equal indifference. “He went with Deku to go and get something.”
“Izuku’s here?”
“Why wouldn’t he be, dumbass? He’s in my class.”
And that’s when you notice the rest of 1-A. 18 pairs of eyes stare at you in utter shock and confusion, burning with questions. Your body stills, awkward under their gazes.
“Is that… your brother?” a red-haired boy with sharp teeth asks, looking between you and Katsuki slowly.
“Yeah,” Katsuki replies nonchalantly.
You take in the other boy's appearance: the insane amount of gel in his weirdly-styled hair, pointed teeth and the fact that he was sparring with Katsuki. Close friend, bad hair?
“You must be Shitty Hair.” you say, prompting half of the class to erupt into giggles. Vaguely, you recall his name is Kirishima, but Katsuki says it so rarely that you barely even associate it with him. ‘Shitty Hair’ blushes at the attention, nodding bashfully with an awkward smile. He rubs the nape of his neck, glancing once again between Katsuki and you.
“I can see how you’re related,” he laughs uncertainly.
“I can see who got the good genes,” a pink-haired girl with horns calls, “clearly not Bakugou.”
“YOU WANNA SAY THAT AGA—”
The doors slam open. You first see Izuku, who pauses at the commotion, and behind him you see… your boyfriend? What the fuck?
“Keigo?”
“[Y/N]?”
“[Y/N]-nii?” Izuku adds.
“Nii?” someone whispers in confusion.
“Hey, Izuku,” you respond weakly.
Silence falls. You take a moment to appreciate Keigo in his hero costume before the dots connect and you turn to Katsuki accusingly.
“He’s your teacher!?”
“He’s your brother!?” Keigo counters.
You turn to your boyfriend. “I told you I have a brother. You know my last name. You’ve literally met my mother and she’s the carbon-copy of Katsuki. Keigo, what even?”
“Er, well, in hindsight, maybe you’re right— but... you’re so nice,” he says, disbelief evident in his wide eyes and confused brows. “And he’s so… not—”
“The fuck did you just say—!?”
“Young man, I will give you a detention if you swear at me again,” Keigo says sternly, schooling his face into something unnaturally serious and crossing his toned arms over his chest. You can see the humour dancing his eyes, prompting you to chuckle quietly.
Katsuki rolls his eyes. “Yes, Hawks-sensei,” he mutters, face contorted into a scowl. He angrily taps his shoe on the ground.
“Stop being a shit,” you chide, grabbing Katsuki by the shoulder roughly and rubbing your knuckles into his skull. The rest of 1-A watches on in absolute disbelief. (Except Izuku. He’s used to this.)
Katsuki groans exasperatedly, “You stop being a shit.”
“Hey!” Hawks gasps dramatically, “don’t call my boyfriend a shit!”
Silence.
You rub a hand over your temple in an attempt to ease your oncoming headache.
“YOUR FUCKING WHAT?!”
“Katsuki—”
The rest of 1-A is left in shock. (Including Izuku, this time). Some start yelling, some look like they’ve turned to stone, the usual. You’re too busy trying to hold back your feral little brother from attacking Keigo — you know he won’t actually, you’re just hoping Keigo knows that too.
“Wait, you’re gay?” A boy who you can recall as Kaminari splutters. Your face crinkles into confusion, nose scrunching like you’ve smelt a bad odour. You can see why Katsuki calls him Dunce Face.
“It runs in the family,” you say, with a pointed look to Katsuki.
His exhaustion must’ve caught up to him since he only offers a middle finger in response. Kaminari bursts into startled and slightly scared laughter.
A warm arm makes its way around your waist and it takes an embarrassing amount of effort for you to suppress a smile. You don’t even have to look at Keigo to know that he’s grinning.
Neither of you are big fans of PDA, but the urge to hug him right now is particularly strong; especially since he’s right there, but there’s also 20 kids right there which sucks and you have to go—
Right. You and Katsuki need to go. That was the point of this whole ordeal.
“Keigo,” you murmur, quiet enough for only him to hear. The rest of the class has ignored the two of you in favour of chatting amongst themselves or questioning Katsuki. Keigo hums, meeting your eyes. He smiles, his golden irises pooling with affection and his arm squeezing gently around your waist, seemingly in a trance. You chuckle, “I need to go.”
He startles. “Right! Right,” he says, clearing his throat. You pretend not to notice the faint tinge of red high on his cheekbones.
“Okay, 1-A. I’m gonna go sort this out quickly,” Keigo says to the class, his voice raised slightly in order to drown out the talking. “So please continue sparring — without quirks — until I’m back. I won’t be long.”
The class answers an affirmative, and then the two of you (plus Katsuki) are out the door. You turn to face Keigo, placing a quick peck on his lips. “I thought I just needed to tell you Katsuki was leaving and then you’d sort it?”
“That’s true… but I missed you,” Keigo sighs wearily, acting like he hadn’t seen you in years. (You spent the night with him literally yesterday.)
“Stop before I tear my fucking eyes out,” Katsuki interrupts. Keigo lifts his head to glare unhappily at him.
“Piss off, Katsuki,” you grumble, placing a slightly longer kiss on Keigo’s lips. You pull away at the realisation that you’re probably late, which means you’ll probably have to face the wrath of Mitsuki Bakugo. “I should— we should go. I’ve stayed way longer than I needed to.”
“Thank fuck,” Katsuki grumbles, occupying himself with his phone. Teenagers.
Keigo groans dejectedly but lets you go nonetheless. He watches you walk away, waving. “Bye, honeybear!”
“Don’t call me that!”

Day 14. Monster-kinktober: Undead + Lap dance/angry sex
A/N: Human x ghoul police officer partners anyone? No? Just me? Well, hope you enjoy!
Ghoul x fem!reader || lap dance, angry sex, exhibitionism (technically), finger-fucking || tw: mentions of murder
When they asked you to infiltrate a strip club with your ghoul partner, you wanted to scream, especially because it was his fucking fault for eating the dude before you could interrogate him. And that’s how you ended wearing the shortest shorts in existence and a mesh top that showed your red bra underneath, sitting on his lap. You hated that fucking ghoul.
“You shouldn’t have eaten him, for fuck’s sake,” you chastised, looking at his mouth as his extra long tongue trying licked his lips, his sharp teeth looking like a threat even when he wasn’t doing anything. Teeth that could cut through meat, teeth that could harm you until you were nothing but bones. And you didn’t like that, not at all, it didn’t make your pulse leap and your panties to get wet. Nope.
You sat on his lap with more force than intended, making him grunt. “I was hungry,” he deadpanned. You turned around and fisted his hair, pulling way harder than you knew you should, and exposing his neck. You breathed close to his jugular, no pulse under his skin, as his hands reached around you and grabbed your waist.
You looked at him like he was joking, there was no way he just said that. “You could have waited,” you told him between your teeth, trying really hard not to snap at him for being a fucking pain in your ass.
“He wasn’t going to say anything else,” he justified, looking at up at you with his deep black eyes and pale skin. He looked almost dead, but the blood all around his mouth was making it hard for you to focus on the steps. You turned around and offered him your ass, the tiny shorts you wore probably gave him a perfect view of your pussy. You didn’t even care, you were so mad at him that you wanted to hit him.
“You don’t know that,” you argued back. You straightened and turned to him, pressing your boobs to his face and rolling your hips over his lap. You shook your ass in the air, giving whoever was watching a good show. You looked over your shoulder trying to locate the bad dude you were following, a manticore involved with the naga mafia.
“You don’t know it, either,” he challenged, breathing close to your face and making your anger rise even higher. You scratched along his collarbone, your pointy nails leaving lilac lines on his grayish skin.
“You are such a jackass. You are a liability in the force. You are a pain in my ass!” You finished, pushing his chest with all your strength and acting like it was part of your mean girl act.
You lowered your body and pushed the mesh down, exposing more of your tits right in front of his dark eyes, eyes that were burning with unknown emotions. You caught him off guard and he tripped back in the chair, letting out a squeal as you grabbed the chair so he wouldn’t fall. He looked at you with such rage and intensity that you felt your pulse leap as you caressed his face with your nose, rolling your body and leaving nothing to the imagination as you put a hand between his open legs, so close to his dick that you could feel the heat of his balls across the fabric.
“Am I the liability? You are the only weak human in a monster force,” he spat as you pushed your hand up and closed it around his balls, squeezing the right amount for it to look sexy but making him gasp and bare his teeth at you.
You pressed your lips against his ear and whispered: “My weak human body is making you hard, ghoul.” You pronounced it like it was an insult and he growled at you as he stood up before you in a flash.
His reflexes were way faster than yours and when he pushed you to the side and ran behind you, you had just enough time to catch yourself before you fell, your body hitting the chair he just vacated with a grunt. You watched annoyed how he threw himself to the manticore as some unknown being gave him a briefcase that was probably filled with money. How cliché.
Before you could get back on your feet, he already cuffed the manticore and the one who gave him the money, and was looking at you with the biggest smirk in the universe, all his teeth showing at once. He should look creepy, but he only looked infuriating. You wanted more than anything to punch his pretty ghoul face.
And on top of all that shit, he left you with all the paperwork. Like he always did. He acted like the hero and brought the bad guys in, but when the formal part of the job came around, he ignored everything and left you to it, always finding an excuse to not do his job. Fucking prick.
Right now, you were filling the paperwork as he chatted with the naga receptionist, like you always did, because he was a jackass and always left all the bureaucracy to you. You fucking hated that ghoul and his big smile that he never directed at you. You hated his long tongue that he was using to caress the naga’s ear as he told her probably filthy things. Fucking jackass.
You stomped off your chair and across the office until you closed the supply closet door behind yourself, cursing under your breath and looking for a stapler to at least pretend you were looking for something just to get away from the giggling naga and your stupid partner.
You didn’t have time to grab the stapler you needed before a body pressed against your back and sharp teeth found your jugular. “You are the pain in my ass, not the other way around!” He growled as his hand traveled down your uniform and slipped inside your panties in one fluid movement.
“What are you even doing here, stupid ghoul,” you grunted as you pushed his body against his, but you couldn’t push him away, his arm already holding you tight against his front.
“Don’t struggle, sunshine, you know you want this, you are already wet,” he proved his point rubbing your clit and making your knees buckle under you. He held you tighter, one long finger finding your opening and slowly pushing inside. You covered your mouth with your hand, muffling the tiny groans escaping you as he chuckled. “Just like that, sunshine, let me take care of this needy pussy… You act all thought, but then you open your legs for me every time you get.” His words were like knives in your side, making you angrier and angrier. He was infuriating.
“I don’t like you,” you told him, turning in his arms to access his neck. You pulled his shirt to the side to bite down on his shoulder, making him moan as he changed angles, hitting your G-spot with the tip of his finger. You groaned around the flesh in your mouth as he accelerated his pace.
“I know, sunshine. But you know what? I don’t like you, either,” he whispered against your ear, licking the shell of your ear with his extra long tongue like he did with the slutty naga receptionist. Damn him.
“Why are you here then, partner?” You teased. “Am I just an excuse to not doing your job? Typical. A liability to the force,” you repeated your earlier words, making him growl and finger-fuck you harder, faster. The palm of his hand hitting your clit at every push of his fingers. You were so close. So, so close.
And then he twisted his head at the same time you did, and he claimed your mouth in a possessive and angry kiss that was more teeth than lips. You bite him and he reciprocated, you attacked each other mouth with desperation and anger, letting out all your hate for each other in a frantic kiss that made you approach the orgasm faster and faster.
“Come, now,” he ordered against your lips, his long tongue entering your mouth when your head fell back and you complied, coming apart around his fingers. His tongue was so long that you felt like it was touching the back of your throat, and you loved it.
When he pulled back, you were breathing hard, and your legs felt like jelly. He took his hand off and licked your juices very slowly, not breaking eye contact with you. “You are disgusting,” you lied, like if what he was doing wasn’t the most erotic thing you’d seen in your life.
He frowned, stepping back. “You say I’m a liability, but I bet nobody makes you come as hard as I do, partner,” the last word was directed at you like an insult and you turned around ready to hit him, but he was already closing the door behind him as you stood there, panties soaked and breathing hard.
Worst of all? He was right, nobody made you come as hard as him.
Fuck.
(Probably gonna make this a long story... maybe even a book.)

Do you know what just occurred to me about the Ls/es verse? And I don’t know if you’ve written this- but like. LsDean is obviously hilariously jealous. Everyone is jealous of everyone here. And he’s super jealous about the care lssams face, and the possibility of sex, and everything. But like. Can you imagine esdean making lssam laugh? Like? Hysterically. The huge belly laughs that aren’t even easy to get out of essaam- Sam’s never laughed too easy. But lssam? You get smiles and chuckles. You don’t get that huge laughter anymore. Not for years. And just watching/walking in on. Esdean cracking up lssam? Holy shit. Murderous rage. Crippling insecurity. Just. Peak peak jealousy and hatred for himself. I’m not entirely sure lsdean wouldn’t take a swing.
GAH!!!! reporting this post to a trusted adult!!!
i absolutely had to write this--your mind...it's too big...
dean hears it when he's coming in from the garage.
his feet turn and begin a pilgrimage before he can even think about it, drawn to that sound like he's sure vultures have been drawn to the smell of carrion for millennia.
as he gets closer, it registers.
laughter. sam's laughter. his sammy's laughter. the voice is deep, booming, too low for sam's 2006 voice. disbelief and something that feels vaguely like nausea makes dean's stomach twist as he picks up his pace.
he finds them in the laundry room.
"that was the worst line i've ever heard" sam sputters between bouts of--dean rounds the corner, and yes, it is. laughter. raucous, side-splitting, freeing laughter.
sam howls again, loud, long peals of laughter bursting from him as he has to hold himself up on the washing machine.
young dean is laying a few feet away from him in a puddle of spilled laundry detergent, goopy blue sludge slipping under his palms as he props himself up. he looks up at sammy like sammy has created the earth, like sammy is the first human person he's seen in a decade. his eyes are wide, adoring, the ghost of a smile on his own lips as if to sip from sam's joy, mouth twitching in small movements around nothing as he tries and fails to come up with words.
sammy's head is thrown back.
dean's breath catches in his throat when sam tilts forward, laughing so hard that he's holding onto his stomach. his hair falls into his face.
he looks younger. decades younger. he looks like when dean--running on two hours of sleep and three skin-of-the-teeth hunts--had glued the slide of his gun to his hand when he mistook a bottle of gorilla glue for the gun oil. he looks like when he was six, rolling around crying because dean had tickled him.
dean hasn't been able to make him laugh like this in...
something shriveled and angry and mean contracts in dean's stomach.
dean wants to go over and slam his younger self's head into the concrete, again, again, until his stupid teeth out, until sam stops laughing like that, like he...like he--
younger dean is still looking up at sam like he's god--and fuck, tears leaking out of his eyes from mirth, face pink, dissolving into helpless giggles, sammy might as well be.
they were doing laundry together.
dean's ears ring.
the world snaps into focus, like unmuting a football game on TV just as the introductory musical sting plays, deafening.
sam--as if he can hear dean's life crumpling like a tin can--lifts his head. his smile dims a little, and dean wants to fucking goddamn die. when did he become a person that makes sam's joy wilt? when did he become a person that couldn't make sam laugh like this?
"dean," sam says, out of breath, still chuckling a little. his eyes flick over dean's face, then away back at dean on the ground. "you should've seen it--"
"hey!" his younger self squawks, spreading his legs a little like he's doing snow angels in the pool of detergent. "not cool, dude. let me die in my silent, clean shame."
sammy collapses.
he's holding his stomach, brow pulled together and mouth open as he cackles like he has no worries at all.
dean takes an aborted step forward, feeling raw and vulnerable like an exposed nerve, like a hunter without a brother at his back.
he's nauseous.
dean hates this. he hates that sammy needs this so bad that stopping it would be cruel, hates that he cannot give sam what he needs. since when has he not been able to give sam what he needs? what he wants? since when can sam find necessary things from others?
dean is furious, but he's not sure at whom. his hands shake, so he bundles them into fists. he looks at his younger self, who pales visibly.
dean has been labouring over sam's laughter. he's been putting in minutes and hours and days building up jokes, throwing out quips like one tries to take shots at a bullseye. he's gotten chuckles, sure, and one time--it sticks out like a recording in dean's head--sam had rocked with silent laughter when the coroner they were interviewing sneezed so hard he fell backwards into his tray of tools and sent scalpels flying.
dean has been working himself raw to get sam to look like this. and here comes this--this interloper, and makes sam look fifteen years younger, make side-splitting, joyful laughter spill from his lips.
he has never hated anything more, body and mind warring with each other as sam's laughter makes dean's shoulders untense, make his chest fill lopsided-full, and as his mind focuses on his younger self, an impudent little bastard.
has dean...has dean lost this?
he thought that sam had just been through too much to laugh so hard he cried. but clearly, he can. clearly, only dean's younger self can do this. clearly, sam can only be coaxed into joy by this...this boy. clearly, sam has a preference. a favourite.
the problem wasn't sam's. it--all along--has been dean's fault.
dean's lost this ability. somehow, somewhere, dean became too cynical or too mean or too warped for sam to feel this.
"hey, man, it's not--" his younger self says, smile completely gone and face grave. he looks--and goddamn him straight to hell--sympathetic. understanding.
dean doesn't want to be understood.
he doesn't want his failure to be understood, to be seen in real time, acknowledged that he is inferior, that there are parts of him that sam can love better, and those parts died years ago.
dean's going to kill him. he knows he's breathing fast, can feel the spark of violence right in his neck, in his arms, in his hands. he wants to slam dean's stupid face into the fucking concrete. he wants to hit him until he is as unrecognizable as dean is, until he loses this thing that sam clearly loves so much.
he tolerated the little bastard before now because he understands his awe, knows that the kid can't be helped but drawn into sam more than a sailor can be pulled towards the sea. he's an annoying little shit, and doesn't know his limits, but dean--on some level--got it.
but now he has something that dean wants, has something dean mourned for years, thought he wasn't ever getting back.
dean turns, before he can take another step forward and do something that'll turn sam against him forever, and, like a coward, flees.
GAHH your mind...i am now Thinking...you're so right LS!Dean would either be throwing punches or barely holding himself back... thank you sm for this ask!!! <3

Legend has a fear of Knights, especially when he's small.
(non-ao3 version under the cut)
Tiny Bunny vs. The Hylian Knight-Mares --- Legend panics from being trapped with Warriors' Knights of Hyrule and ends up regressing. all that only to face his other fear with knights...
Warriors finding out he's a little.
---
“Oh so most of you are knights?” Gideon asked the group, one of Warriors’ friends from the war of his namesake.
The chain had been plopped into Wars’ Hyrule, which wasn’t really amazing in Legend’s own opinion, but he could grin and bear it until they got the hell out of here.
Hylia, he hated knights.
Legend stood awkwardly behind Sky, uneasy in the barracks of the Knights of Castle Hyrule, uncomfortably aware of the strange and all too familiar feeling creeping up inside him.
“Yeah, sort of!” Sky cheered, “I’m a Knight of Skyloft- er- my hometown, though I’ve since retired.” He mentioned.
Gideon laughed, “Yeah, I can tell!” he said jokingly, patting his own flat stomach in reference to Sky’s own chubbier physique.
Legend shook his head as he fought off the feelings of betrayal that the mind of the little pink bunny he was quickly slipping into becoming was starting to feel.
What did they mean Sky was a knight? Sky was good! He was sweet and kind and only hurt things when he really needed to.
Legend’s lip wobbled as he blinked back tears, suddenly feeling the daggers of judgement fall upon him as his heart rate picked up.
Knights laughed around him, the clink of swords sparring and the lighthearted teasing of the Captain clouded his mind, everything was getting too much. The stone walls were closing in on him as the glint of weapons felt like they were pointing at his throat. His overactive imagination showed him pictures of the Master Sword in Sky’s hands, inches away from slashing his throat out.
His head was going 90 miles a minute, he needed to leave.
“Legde? You good?” Warriors barked.
He needed to leave RIGHT NOW.
Legend felt like his tongue was made of lead, muttering a “’scuse me,” as he pushed through the crowds.
Yelps from knights sounded out as he picked up the pace at the protests from Wars calling his name.
Legend just wanted out.
He wanted to be snuggled up with Sky under a tree while the Skyloftian told him a story, or colouring a pretty picture.
Legend whimpered as he pushed through the heavy wooden doors, could he even trust Sky anymore?
Sky was a knight. Knights were bad. That meant Sky was bad.
Legend leaned himself up against a tree, digging his fingers into the soft bark as he tried to push back the fuzziness in his head.
Legend choked out a sob.
Momma Sky was bad?
“Dude!” Warriors trudged towards the spiralling Link, visibly upset. “What the fuck was that?” he exclaimed.
Warriors towered over him, Legend struggled not to shrink back. Big. Big. Big. He needed to be big. He was a big boy, not a small little bunny. He could handle this.
“’M sowry,” He whimpered, painfully aware that any hopes of pushing away Little Bunny were futile.
Shit
Shit
Shit.
No, not here, not now. Little Bunny couldn’t be happening now, with him of all people.
Legend felt his nose twitch, ears pinning against his head and feeling his brain soften into syrupy, cottony, scared, nothingness.
Warriors was watching him in rage as Legend crumbled before him.
The tiny bunny cowered, pulling his hands up to hide his face, waiting for the first blow from the infuriated Hylian knight before him.
“I’m sorwyyy!!” Legend wailed, sinking to the floor as Little Bunny’s legs turned to jelly.
Wars took a step back, now less angry and more just… confused. So confused.
“The fuck is wrong with you?” Wars questioned, not used to a sobbing blob of Legend whimpering on the ground at his feet.
Legend continued to whimper, cowering in front of the captain.
Warriors jolted forward when the chubbiest of the links ran into him. Sky was panting, out of breath, and worried as he examined Legend’s horrified figure as he caught his breath and steadied himself.
“Oh no…” Sky muttered, steeling himself as Warriors whipped around to face Sky.
“What’s wrong with him??” Warriors asked, genuinely worried now.
Sky was sweating bullets, glancing from his little terrified bunny back up to the concerned captain, thoughts running a mile a minute but consisting of nothing helpful.
“He’s fine but you need to leave.” Sky choked out, understanding how much that was not going to happen, but trying anyways.
“No, he’s being insubordinate and now he’s acting weirder than normal. What’s going on with the Vet?” Warriors pressed on.
Sky ran his hands over his face, groaning. “Ledge is gonna hate me for this…” he mumbled.
Sky knelt down, completely ignoring the myriad of questions thrown at him by Warriors.
“Hey Little Bunny, those big men scared us, didn’t they?” Sky asked in a gentle voice, reaching out.
“Knights!!” Little bunny startled, dashing behind the tree. “don’ touch me!!” he squealed.
“What?” was all was needed from Warriors for Little Legend to start whimpering again. “Legend, what has gotten into you? I’m done with your games.” He grumbled, leaping to try to grab at the crying link.
Legend screamed, using whatever poor motor controls remained with him and scurried off, only being able to stumble so far before ducking behind some crates in front of a large stone wall.
Warriors stomped off to pursue him, immediately being intercepted by Sky.
“Look, I know he’s acting.. er… “strange” but you’ve gotta trust me and just leave me to take care of him.” Sky pleaded.
“I can’t do that and you know that. Whether he’s just messing with us or he’s sick or something I need to know.” Warriors demanded.
Sky sighed.
“Okay fine. But just- don’t scare him again, okay?” Sky pleaded.
Warriors grunted.
“It will be explained in due time, you just need to trust me on this one.”
Now it was War’s turn to sigh, throwing up his hands in defeat and following Sky to where legend was camped out.
Sky knelt down.
“Hi there Link!” he whispered, trying to pitch up his tone to be far happier than the stress flowing through his veins right now.
Warriors was the last person Legend wanted to find out about his regression.
Sky was praying to Hylia he could salvage this from going terribly.
“We’re kinda scared, aren’t we?” Sky whispered, “We don’t have to be scared, nobody’s gonna hurt you!” he insisted.
Legend made no move to leave from here he was cowering behind empty crates. Sky sighed.
Legend cowered behind the crates, screaming at any hand that came to fish him out.
“This is just like that day at the inn,” Warriors mumbled, pulling back after having his hand swatted at one too many times.
Sky sighed, making eye contact with the terrified Link. “I have to tell him, little bunny, you know that.” he said quietly. Legend just continued to cry.
Sky took a deep breath, getting Warriors’ attention.
“You need to keep this a secret, because I’m pretty sure Legend deemed you as ‘the last person he would ever want to know’ but…” Sky trailed off, watching Warriors’ face contort in thought.
“Legend’s a regressor. It means his mind can revert back to that of a child when he gets stressed or upset.” Sky explained. “Somehow, from my understanding, it’s never happened in a seriously dangerous situation. This is kinda the worst time it’s happened.”
Warriors stayed silent, processing.
“So, he’s safe?” Warriors asked.
Sky smiled, “As long as we can keep him safe.”
Warriors stood tall, glancing at Legend before steeling himself again and turning his attention to Sky.
“How can I help?”
Sky grinned.
“Captain?”
“Yeh?”
“Go get wolfie.”
“What?” Warriors questioned.
“Just,” Sky interrupted him, holding up his hands placating, “just go get twilight, tell him that Bunny needs wolfie.”
Warriors was quick to obey that time, rushing off back to the castle.
Sky took a deep breath, crouching down to where Legend was peering at him from behind crates. “You’re gonna be okay, Little Bunny, your fluffy friend is on the way.”
A grey blur bounded onto the scene, nearly knocking Sky over as Wolfie rushed over to Legend.
Legend seemed apprehensive at first, but it was no time flat before Wolfie licked the tear tracks off of Tiny Bunny’s face.
“Huh, that worked…” Warriors mumbled, watching Legend giggle and try to push Wolfie away as the wolf had cemented his desire to lick every square centimetre of the frightened boy’s face.
Sky smiled, trying to ignore how his joints creaked as he stood up. “Usually it does.”
“Usually?” Warriors questioned, “like, this happens regularly?”
“Well, it’s been a couple times so far. Mostly during downtime.” Sky explained. “It’s nothing to be worried about, captain.”
Sky startled just a bit when an unfamiliar tug at the leg of his trousers.
Legend was sitting on the ground, one arm around Wolfie and the other arm connected to the knee of Sky’s pants. “Birdie!” Legend whispers.
“Hi bunny!!” Sky says quietly, keeping his voice light and happy. Legend tugs at Sky’s pants again. “Up.”
Wars just stares.
“D’you want me to hold you?” Sky asked, smiling warmly at Legend nodding.
Legend pulls at Sky’s sailcloth once he’s in his arms, rubbing the soft fabric against his cheek. “You alright bunny?” Sky asks.
“Kights’re meanies. An-an dey r bad.” Legend mumbled.
Warriors smiled, putting a hand on the shoulder not occupied by Legend’s head.
“Even me?” he asked with a smile.
Legend jerked back, the tiny bunny pulling Sky’s sailcloth over his face to hide.
Sky frowned, tugging gently at his sailcloth to peel back the fabric from the tiny bunny. “You’re okay little kit, it’s just the captain, he won’t hurt you.”
Warriors smiled warmly, holding up his hands soothingly. “I’m a friend, you’re okay. My knights aren’t going to hurt you,” he soothed.
Legend allowed his shelter to be pried from him.
“Pr’mise?” the tiny bunny asked, eyes widening pleadingly.
Warriors smiled, reaching out to fluff Legend’s hair. “I promise, Vet.”
Sky shifted Legend in his arms, “C’mon, let’s get back to the barracks, we should make sure they know that we’re not dead.”
Warriors stopped Sky in his tracks. “Wait, don’t we have to hide him or something?”
Sky shrugged, “It smelled awful in there, we’ll just say Ledge, Twi, and myself are getting some air outside. Simple as that!!” he mentioned.
And that is what they did. Sky, Legend, and Wolfie hung out in the sun, under a tree. Sky told stories of his time as a Knight of Skyloft. Stories of his friends and loved ones. And if their little Legend fell asleep drooling on Wolfie’s coat? Twilight said nothing.

Things Benjicot Blackwood would tweet;
A/N; Going insane waiting for uni to start so I'm taking my lack-of-a-schedule boredom out on writing stupid shit like this.
─ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ✣ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──
@/BenjiNOT: "Should probably update my bio to 'professional shitposter, part-time knight, full-time pain in Crispin Cole's ass.' Thoughts?"
@/BenjiNOT: "Here’s a meme of Otto Hightower looking like he just stepped out of a crypt. Oh wait, that’s just his face."
@/BenjiNOT: "Do you know how hard it is to keep an ancient household from crumbling under the weight of a million scrolls and zero actual heirs worth a damn? One of my cousins thinks he’s a literal tree. Like… a TREANT. I wish I was kidding." @/BenjiNOT: "Keep playing in my mentions and I’ll show up to your house with a raven that won’t shut up until you apologize. Consider it an emotional support bird."
@/BenjiNOT: "I just KNOW Lord Larys has an OnlyFans but instead of feet pics it's just like, random people's deepest secrets and blackmail material. Dude’s out here monetizing dirt like it's 4D chess. We’re not the same." @/BenjiNOT: "Finally went to therapy and the therapist told me that my ‘feud complex’ isn’t normal. Imagine paying someone to tell you that the Brackens aren’t worth your mental health. Not sure I can trust the process anymore." @/BenjiNOT: "So, the next family gathering is coming up and I'm trying to figure out how to get out of it. Can I just… fake an illness? The plague maybe? Will my auntie Blackwood buy it if i tell her I've contracted "Dragonscale flu"? probably not but It’s worth a shot. Anything to avoid another 3-hour lecture from my uncle about legacy. Literally nothing makes me want to die more than hearing a man say “legacy” in a serious tone." @/BenjiNOT: "Currently sitting at the Ravenry, watching my cousin (definitely Davos) try to court an actual tree. Guess I’m the only normal one left around here. If I start knitting it’s over for all of you." @/BenjiNOT: "So I took up candle-making. Accidentally summoned a minor forest spirit instead. Long story short, I think I’m married now. To a bush. And like, I’m fine with it? Anything’s better than dealing with my family at the next feast."
Probably tweets about it five days later at 3AM being like,
@/BenjiNOT: "I’m still thinking about that tree, though. Could it work out between us? I mean, it doesn’t talk back, doesn’t care if I drag Brackens or wear my cloak wrong… Y’know, for a bush, it’s low-key perfect?"
─ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ✣ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──
Bonus;
“Listen up, you utter knaves and simpletons,” he types furiously, the caps lock an angry beacon of rage. “If I see one more take about House Blackwood being ‘literally so irrelevant,’ I swear on the Old Gods, New Gods, and whatever pagan deity you’re praying to that I’ll hunt you down with a crossbow. And I’m great with a crossbow. Won archery tournaments before you were even a twinkle in your stupid House Bracken-supporting mother’s eye.”

Marcus López Argüello: Stay away from Chico.
Words: 1019
Warnings: Mentions of killing, assassins and killers.
Edited?: no haha
Reader pronouns: not stated.
Summary: Y/N helps Marcus after Chico pour coke over his head on his first day at Kings Dominions.
Author's note: marcus my beloved <3. i just wanted to write it, even if it's short. request are open for all the characters listed on my fandoms list, please request! it is not mentioned the beginning of a relationship or anything but you could imagine it like that.
------------------------
Once you had gotten everything you needed, you closed your locker and continued to talk to one of your friends as the classes in Kings Dominions didn't start yet, for there were some minutes left. You were still rambling about your homework with your friend Cynthia when she grabbed you firmly by the shoulder and made you lean into her. At first you couldn't understand anything, but when your turned around to where Cynthia was looking, you did.
Your friend had made you move in order to not get in Chico's way, like always angry but having someone to let his rage out to: the new kid. Marcus López Argüello, also known as the new kid, was probably the student who had build up a rep of his own faster in Kings Dominions' history. Basically killing all the kids at that boy's home was really something, wasn't it? You thought Marcus didn't have the kind of looks to be a killer of that status. But never judge a book by its cover, right?
Marcus must have been some big mouth dude, because Chico was an asshole, but he usually didn't wake up with the goal of showering with coke the first student he could find. Or maybe, that was all Maria's fault, which because of her reputation, it didn't feel so strange to you. Whatever it had really happened, Chico had thrown a coke over Marxus head, as you could see while Cynthia giggled next to you.
"It's not funny, Cyn" you said, shaking your head, but there was a little smile growing on your lips as you glanced at a confused Marcus.
The bell rang ordering the students to go to their classes, but you didn't move, not even reacting to Cynthia when she grabbed your arm, trying to drag you to class. You were still looking over at Marcus, standing in the middle of the hallway, watching all the other students rush to their classes.
"Y/N, you're going to be late!" whispered Cynthia when you started to walk away from her and went towards Marcus. You turned your face to look at her, a sly smile on your lips "Then cover for me, would ya? It'll be some minutes"
Still walking confidently towards Marcus, you greeted Billy—who was the owner of the coke Chico had thrown over at Marcus—with your head when he went in your opposite direction, to go to class. Once you finally reached Marcus, you firmly took his hand and started dragging him through the empty hallway.
"Who- What are you doing?" he asked, confusion almost visible around him, but not doing anything to stop you.
"Come" you said, simply, not really answering his question.
In silence, you guided Marcus to the boy's laboratory and closed the door once you two were inside.
Letting go of his hand, you walked to one of the sinks, taking a quick glance at him through the mirror, before taking off your backpack and leaving it on the sink, carefully making sure it wouldn't get wet.
"You know, you should take that jacket of yours off if you don't want it soaking up your shirt," you scoffed, amused, opening your backpack and trying to find that towel you always carried with you in case you had to take some blood off your uniform ", and another free to? Don't mess with Chico and stay away from Maria"
Marcus took his jacket off, and accepted the towel you gave him, but he didn't try to dry himself "Who are you?"
"Name's Y/N," you glanced at him while you zipped your backpack ", and you're Marcus, right?"
"Yeah"
"'Kay, Marcus, now put your head under the sink or you'll have coke on your hair forever"
He did what you told him, again, letting you help him so the water would get to all the places where the sticky drink was.
Marcus did the drying by himself, first drying his hair with your towel and then the parts of his shirt that had been affected by the incident too. You watched him, crossing your arms, amused for some reason that was escaping him.
"Why are you helping me?" he asked, handing you your towel back.
"Keep it, maybe you'll need it again," you said, then chuckling to something he didn't find funny. "First days are always rough, especially if you're in an assassin's school. Thought might make it a bit easier"
Marcus nodded slowly, satisfied with your answer, and tucked the towel under his arm after he had put his jacket back on.
"Why did you kill those kids?"
He looked up at you quickly, like he had been horrified by your question. You didn't understand how he looked like that, maybe the question had caught him off guard, but he truly looked horrified. Could a killer of so many people be horrified by his body count? There was something off.
"Well, you go straight to the point, don't you?" he scoffed, defensive, fierce look in his eyes.
You raised your brows "Why wouldn't I? I mean, you truly are a monster if you did it for fun"
"I didn't do it- for fun" Marcus said, a slow pause before the last two words.
You stared at him, like you were trying to figure him out. Marcus was sure you wouldn't figure him out, you really needed more than two minutes with him to understand him. The staring contest was ended by you nodding, undescriptable expression on your face.
"Stay away from Chico, would you, Marcus boy?" you requested, moving towards the door. You patted his shoulder, stopping when you were next to him. You looked at him, directly into the eyes "You look like a fun dude, and I wouldn't like to see you dead before meeting ya, okay?"
Marcus turned around when you continued your way towards the door, stopping you with his words "Wait- Where are you going?"
You giggled, shaking your head to his obliviousness "This is a school, lovie. We might not have basic maths as a subject, but we have class, you know?"
"Oh, right"

A Little Voice Told Me - Pt.2
Poly! MC Summary: Words hurt and leave their scars. MC learns this the hard way after hearing some not-so-nice whispers about them while on a date with Beel. How are they supposed to be the partner of the seven lords of the Devildom when they just don't measure up? Part 1: HERE, Part 3: HERE ***Good Golly!! Y'all really like the angst, huh? Here you guys go. Cry your hearts out and enjoy! - B*** Beelzebub woke up the rest of his brothers early the next morning. While most of them attempted to flip him off or threaten him at the initial disturbance, all it took was him saying that they needed to talk about you for them to shoot out of bed. In a matter of minutes, all of them, except Levi, were seated around the breakfast table. "If we're talking about MC, why aren't they here?" Satan asked while poking at a piece of fruit. "I don't know about you, but I personally don't feel right talking about them behind their back." Belphie scoffed and laid his head in his arms. "It's not like we're gossiping about them or anything. They were acting off last night, and Beel thought we should discuss what we're gonna do about it." Beel nodded, "They pulled into themself halfway through the night, and was upset but kept brushing me off whenever I tried to talk to them about it." Mammon huffed and crossed his arms. "Maybe they just didn't feel like they could talk to ya about it," he rose to his feet and began to walk towards the door. "I'm the first! I'm sure I can get it out of them, easy peasy! I'll just head in there and-" "Mammon, sit down!" Lucifer hissed. Mammon grumbled under his breath but did as told. Lucifer sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "We've talked about this. Stop bringing up the whole 'first man' thing. MC is in a relationship with all of us. Not just you." The second-born pouted and stabbed an egg with his fork.
Lucifer rolled his eyes at his brother's antics and looked back at Beel. "Something clearly happened during the date. Do you have any ideas at all at what it could've been?" Asmodeus stirred a swirly straw around in his drink. "I mean, I would be pretty upset if I spent three hours of my evening at a barbaric sporting event too," Asmo chuckled and smirked. "The only good thing about sports is that you get to see all those rippling muscles of the athletes in action." Beel scowled at his brother took a bite out of the omelet that was on his plate. "It wasn't because of the game. MC loves coming to my Fangol games and was having a blast with me until halftime. Something had to have happened while I was gone." Asmodeus opened his mouth to counter the statement when Leviathan came rushing into the room carrying his laptop. Lucifer raised an eyebrow at the sight, "What have I told you about devices at the table?" Leviathan shot him an annoyed look as he plopped down in one of the chairs. "This isn't about table etiquette. This is about MC," he looked over at Beel and Belphie. "I think I have an idea on what may have caused them to start distancing themselves." Everyone perked up in interest at the news; each one of them eager to know what was distressing their loved one so much that they felt like they couldn't talk to them. "Well are you going to tell us, or are you just going to sit there?" Satan quipped, his anger beginning to get the better of him as he sat on the edge of his seat. Levi gave him a flat look before he typed a few things on his keyboard. "I was doing a raid last night trying to keep my mind off of what might've happened with MC and decided to ask my party members about it," Leviathan's expression darkened as he began to explain. It was clear to everyone that whatever was said, wasn't taken lightly by the otaku. Rather than reading the conversation out loud, he turned his laptop screen for all his brothers to see. Leviachan: Gaaah! I just can't focus on the game tonight. My partner came back from a date tonight and has been acting kind of sus. There's definitely something bothering them, but they refuse to tell anyone. Ruri-Chans-Husbando: Dude, you're talking about that stupid human right? Why are you even with them? You shouldn't give a Normie like them the time of day. Waifu-Addict: Exactly! Listen, we've all been talking and you need to drop that whore. They're totally just using you and your brothers for your titles and power. The demons read in horror and rage as the chat room filled with messages from the members of Leviathan's party all saying similar garbage about you and degrading you in every way they could think of. Satan stood up and began to pace near the table as he used every inch of his self-control to keep himself from lashing out. "I want names, Levi. Who are they and why do they seem to think it's okay to talk about MC like- like that?!" Satan snarled as he curled his hands into fists. Levi tsked and crossed his arms, as Lucifer took the laptop to look more closely at the messages. "You say that as if I haven't already used my 'title and power' as Grand Admiral to have my men collect and imprison them. They're at the navy base waiting for us to get our hands on them as soon as we sort this whole mess out." Belphie growled, now sitting up and wide awake. "Get our hands on them is right. No one gets away with this shit," Asmodeus glared at the computer as though it had just dyed all of his clothing brown. "Rotten brats. They're all just jealous of stunning MC. Ugh, Diavolo, haters are the worst." Beel pushed his plate away from himself as he frowned deeply. "As disgusting and horrible as this is, what does it have to do with MC getting all quiet during our date?" A low rumble came from Lucifer as he handed the laptop back to Levi. A fiery hatred was burning brightly in his eyes as he gritted his teeth. "If a bunch of anti-social shut-ins are going around talking about our dearest MC like this, I believe Leviathan's point is that others probably are."
"Ouch. I wasn't going to say it l-like that, but yes," Levi winced and continued, "MC probably overheard people saying something about them. I mean, if people said that crap about me I'd probably hide in my room and not come out for months!" Mammon, who had been surprisingly quiet during all of this, had a very serious expression on his face. "Right, and we don't want MC to go through that. For Diavolo's sake, they've left alone to overthink this enough," Mammon stood up and headed towards the door again, Satan hot on his trail. "I'm going up to there to talk with them. Ya'll are welcome to come with, but you ain't stoppin' me." "Actually, Mammon, you're not. We should wait until MC comes to us," Lucifer interrupted. An animalistic snarl tore its way from Satan's throat as what little self-control he had snapped. Wrath incarnate lunged himself at Lucifer, grabbing his older brother by the collar of his cloak. "Are you serious, Lucifer?! You're seriously putting your stupid pride first, now?!? MC needs us!" Lucifer growled and pushed Satan off of him as he stood to size him up. "No. What they need is to not feel pressured to open up when they aren't ready! We can't make them feel like they can't come to us!" Mammon scoffed from where he stood in the back. "Oh, cause that's perfect logic! News flash, oh wise one, They ain't gonna come to us if they're thinkin' they're a burden! But you wouldn't know anything about that would you?!" Lucifer's eyes widen and he took a step back in shock at the statement. "What is that supposed to mean?" Mammon and Satan both opened their mouths to put Lucifer in his place when Beel all of sudden cleared his throat loudly. All three of the angry demons turned to snap at him but froze as they saw you standing in the room behind them. They instantly straightened themselves up gave you their full attention. The air seemed to lay still between you as everyone waited for the other to make the first move. As with almost every situation, it was Mammon who broke the silence. He took a step towards you. "MC, I was just coming to get you actually. There's somethin' we all wanna talk to you about." They could hear your breath catch in your throat as you took a step back. Panic filled your eyes the moment the words left his mouth. "O-Oh. I, um, I was actually just going to grab an apple and then head off to RAD for class. M-Maybe we can talk afterwards?" Satan frowned as you walked past him towards the fruit bowl. "MC, it's the weekend." You stopped mid-step. An uncomfortable tension filled the room as the obvious excuse was exposed. The brothers waited for you to move, to speak, to do something to give them any sort of sign for what you wanted them to do, but you just stood there, still like a statue except for the tremors in your hand. "Come on, Darling," Asmodeus spoke softly. His face clearly showed the hurt and concern that was coursing through him. "Everything's alright, I promise. We just need to talk about a few things." The brothers had thought of a number of ways you could've reacted to them confronting you. Lucifer thought that perhaps you would snap at them and distance yourself further. Mammon, Levi, and Asmo expected a few small tears followed by a cuddle session. Satan imagined a slightly more dramatic telling, like something from one of his novels, that ended him being your hero and massacring all those who dared speak ill about you. Beel thought perhaps you could talk over a bunch of comfort foods that allowed you to remain calm and feel safe. Belphie had hoped that perhaps you hadn't believed what you overheard, and the two of you could laugh at how idiotic even the idea of them not loving you was. But you, breaking down into tears, sobbing the words "I'm sorry" over and over again? None of them had expected, nor were prepared, for that. ***Apparently this is now going to be a three-part series. This part was interesting to write. I fully believe that if the brothers were in a poly relationship with the MC they would definitely bicker and argue about
who knows MC best and who had the better date whenever MC isn't around. Honestly, they probably have a score chart 😅 I hope you guys liked part 2! Keep an eye out for part 3, where MC finally opens up to the boys and we have some hurt/comfort times \uwu/ ***

baby sister ~ mark;midsommar
word count: 1929
request?: yes!
“Mark from Midsommar imagine about Christan's sister crushing on Mark and when Mark finds out they start dating. And Christian finds them making out and gets all pissed and tries to fight Mark but reader yells at Christian to stop.”
description: in which he’s very protective over his baby sister, and now his best friend is dating her
pairing: mark x female!reader
warnings: swearing
masterlist
There were so many words that could describe my brother. Asshole was definitely the most accurate one. Protective was the second most accurate way to describe him.
I was the family baby, and when mine and Christian’s dad left, Christian took it upon himself to be the man of the house. This included being the one to try and scare away my boyfriends. Well...try and usually succeeded. It was becoming impossible to date unless I did it secretly.
Which was what I was doing with Christian’s best friend, Mark.
From the moment we met, I knew I was head over heels for Mark. Of course, trying to act on that under Christian’s watchful eye was basically impossible. Until Mark initiated a particularly steamy make out session while Christian wasn’t home.
“We can keep this a secret,” he assured me. “I don’t bring girls around anyways, and the guys don’t ask about that shit.”
“Secret romance is incredibly sexy,” I noted. Mark smiled and kissed me again.
Ever since then, we had secretly been in a relationship. No one knew, not even Dani who was my closest friend. I trusted her to keep the secret from anyone else, but Dani told Christian everything. She couldn’t lie to him, he knew her too well to fall for her lies. I knew giving her this secret would be a massive burden on her, and I couldn’t do that to her.
The secret rendezvous were hard sometimes, especially since Christian and Mark were living together. On the occasions where Christian would go over to Dani’s, and Josh would be out wherever for the night, I would go over with Mark for a few hours. But spending the night was a big risk. It was hard to know when Christian would come home, and the last thing either of us needed was for him to catch me in Mark’s bed.
I walked through the front door of the guy’s apartment and immediately called out, “Hey fuckers!”
“Hey baby sis,” came Christian’s voice in response. “You caught me at a sort of bad time, I’m about to go to Dani’s for a while.”
I gave him a worried look. “What? Why? Are you and the guys okay?”
“Oh yeah, nothing bad happened. She’s just having a rough time and I want to be there for her,” he responded. “You’re free to hang here if you want, but Mark will be the only one here. Josh is out of town with his parents for a while.”
I tried not to let the smirk I was feeling inside show. “Oh, well if it’s just Mark I’ll probably leave.”
“I don’t blame you. The guy is kind of boring.”
If I didn’t know that Christian’s way of showing affection was by insulting someone I probably would’ve been offended.
He brushed past me and said goodbye, promising to hang out with me again after he spent some time with Dani. I pretended to be following him out to my car and waited until he was far enough away that he wouldn’t see me turn around and run back into the house.
I knew Mark was home. His car was in the driveway and his bedroom door was closed, something he always did when he was home and wanted some privacy. I ran straight to his room and threw the door open. His eyes widened as I dove onto the bed and immediately cuddled into his side.
“Is Christian gone already?” he asked.
I popped my head up to look at him in shock. “You knew?! And you didn’t tell me?!”
“I didn’t get the chance! He literally just told me when he walked in like an hour ago. I didn’t think he was leaving so soon.”
I rolled my eyes and kissed his cheek before settling my head into his neck. “So, how long is he gone for?”
“All weekend,” he responded. “Won’t be back till after class on Monday he said, and even then he may be gone for a little bit with Dani.”
“So,” I said, “are we having our first sleepover or not?”
Mark chuckled and kissed my forehead. “I would love for you to stay over. But do you want to go home and get your clothes?”
“Why would I want to do that when I have your clothes here?”
Mark gave me an amused look before rolling us over to get on top of me and begin to tickle me.
The first night I got to spend with Mark was fantastic. We spent so many hours just cuddling and talking, and of course countless hours having sex without worrying about anyone catching us. The first morning together, I woke up to find myself alone in bed, but with the smell of breakfast drifting in from the kitchen.
I got up and pulled on one of Mark’s shirts and ventured out into the kitchen, not worried about anyone catching me for once. Mark was stood next to the stove in just a pair of sweatpants, his back turned to me. I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his naked torso.
“Good morning,” I said, kissing his cheek. “What are you making?”
“Just some bacon and eggs,” he responded. “I wanted to bring you breakfast in bed.”
“You know I don’t sleep in enough for that to be possible, and I don’t like laying in bed for too long.”
Mark turned his head to meet my lips with his. “How did we end up together? We’re such different people.”
“Opposites attract baby.”
Mark smiled and turned to face me. In one quick motion, he lifted me onto the counter and stood between my legs. I giggled and kissed him deeply, holding his face in my hands as a way to keep him from pulling away.
We were so lost in one another that we didn’t notice the door opening, or the sound of a bag hitting the floor, until the voice that both of us dreaded to hear.
“What the fuck?!”
Mark jumped away from me in time to see Christian charging at him, murder present in his eyes. Mark quickly jumped out of the way and extended an arm to keep Christian at an arm’s length away.
“What the fuck were you doing to my sister?!” Christian snapped.
“Chill dude, we were just kissing!” Mark responded.
“Why was she kissing you?! Why is she here in just one of your shirts?!”
“Calm down, Christian,” I tried, pushing myself off of the counter to cover myself as much as I possibly could. “I stayed over the night.”
“But why?! And why with him?!”
He tried to lunge at Mark again, but this time I took hold of his arm and yanked him back. “Christian, fucking stop!”
“What has he said or done to make you want to kiss him and to stay the night with him?” Christian demanded. “What the fuck has he done to you?”
“Christian, shut the fuck up!” I felt myself shaking in rage and I just wanted to punch my older brother until he was unconscious. I guess we were more similar than I ever cared to admit.
My outburst surprised both my brother and my boyfriend. They both went silent, and for a moment Christian wasn’t even trying to kill Mark anymore.
“You’re so fucking controlling!” I said, airing out all the anger I had built up inside of me for so long. “I get that you want to be dad, I get that you’re trying to be ‘the man’, but holy fuck! I’m a fucking adult! I can date who I want, I can kiss who I want, I can fuck who I want! I don’t need you getting angry and intimidating every guy I date, Christian. I can’t be single forever you know.”
Christian glared at Mark once more before turning to face me. “I know that, (Y/N), but I don’t want anyone to hurt you.”
“Do you know how much more it hurts when guys either ghost me or straight up tell me to my face that they’re too scared of you to date me?” I questioned. “Do you know how many guys told me that I wasn’t worth the hassle you gave them? I was hurt more by your protectiveness than I ever was by any guy.”
I saw a look pass over Christian’s face. I couldn’t tell exactly what it meant, but I knew there was a lot of information running through his head at that moment, a lot of things he had to process.
“And I know you don’t want me dating your best friend,” I continued before he could say anything else. “I know it’s like a violation of friend code or whatever the fuck guys have going on, and it’s weird and awkward. But I really do love Mark, and I know he loves me, too. You know Mark better than any guy I’ve ever tried to date, can you seriously look me in the eyes and tell me he’s not a good fit for me?”
Christian looked over at Mark once more before turning back to me. “He is a fuckface.”
I giggled. “Yeah, I know that. But he’s a good fuckface.”
“One of the better ones,” Christian agreed. “I’m sorry, (Y/N). I just...I thought that’s how I was supposed to act, you know?”
“I know, mom never told you any different. I think she just liked you trying to be the man of the house all the time because it meant she didn’t have to take up any extra responsibilities.”
Christian pulled me into a hug, something I don’t think he had ever done before. It was quite a shock to both me and to Mark.
“You can date whoever you want,” he said. “I promise I won’t kill...well I promise I won’t kill any other guy you may date. I have no promises about Mark.”
“I’ll take that,” I told him. “And I’m sorry you had to find out like...this.”
Christian looked between us, trying not to look at the parts that weren’t clothed I could tell. “Yeah...not the best way, but I’ll bleach my eyes when I get back to Dani’s.”
We all laughed as Christian went to get whatever he had come home for and left again, saying goodbye and apologizing once more before closing the door behind him.
“That went well,” I commented. I looked over to see Mark smiling at me. “What?”
“Did you mean what you said? That you love me?”
I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. In the heat of the moment, I let the big L word slip. Mark and I hadn’t said it to one another yet. We had only started dating mere months ago.
“I think so,” I admitted. “I feel things for you that I’ve never felt for anyone before. I...I think I do love you. Is that...is that weird to say?”
Mark wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. “Not at all. I think I love you, too.”
I smiled up at him and placed a gentle kiss against his lips.
“Don’t forget breakfast,” I whispered in his ear, nibbling on it gently before pulling away.
It took a moment for the lust to wash away after my small act for Mark to realize that breakfast was still on the pan cooking. I giggled as he quickly went to turn the stove off and check to make sure the food was still edible.

All that matters
Yandere! Percy Jackson
Ship: Yan!Percy Jackson x innocent/fragile reader
Warnings: Violence, over use of powers.
Requested by: @xxscreamingcolorxx
It started off innocently enough. Way too innocent for that matter, maybe that’s what ignited him.
You were just the new kid in the big apple, someone who just moved there because of your parent’s job, and like any teen would have, your mind started wandering off, imaginating all the possibilities, all the movies that could come true before your eyes!
As for him, it was just another year in yet the same school (something he was really grateful for), only the first day and he was already counting the days until he could return to camp, to his friends.
Annabeth.
The name stung him like a bee, scratch it, it felt more like an angry wasp, but he ignored it, she was the closest person he had, who could actually understand him, and hey, he did love her, maybe not in the way she did him but for all he knew that was it for everyone, maybe that’s why people say that friends end up falling in love, more like a ‘next step’ thing than actual love.
Was that even real though? He surely didn’t know, but he was comfortable with what he had, and that was good enough, so he tried to shrug the thoughts away and finished getting ready for his day.
Soon enough he was already in his seat, headphones blasting a playlist he had spent the night downloading from questionable websites, and his head between his hands, doing everything in his willpower not to start a mess.
Naturally he didn’t notice someone new entering the classroom, he tried to stay away from most others, and people didn’t really like him either, much of a troublemaker, they’d say.
His lack of social skills made sure you got a seat on your first day. But he didn’t look up as you seated, his senses did however, perk up at your perfume, some wildflower and another thing he couldn’t quite pinpoint, but it reminded him of camp, so he couldn’t help inhaling even deeper, he made the silent decision to start sitting near you.
And it could have been that way, you being your a scent he liked, just another person, but the fates had other plans, as did the first teacher, who didn’t waste a second on explaining the week project to be done in pairs.
His music was gone at this point, and he sighed, he didn’t like working on teams for school. Better yet, he didn’t like ending up with whoever else didn’t have a partner. Just then he felt a finger poking his arm, with a raised brow he turned to see you.
And your breath got stuck in your throat, he was probably one of the cutest boys you had ever seen, yet, his resting face (or so you hoped it was his resting face) looked just a combination between angry and dangerous. But you didn’t listen to your gut and talked “Would- uh... Sorry! I’m new and I was wondering if you’d like to partner up?”
Your voice had to be the sweetest thing, he was already starting to take a liking to you. You see, he isn’t the type of yandere to just get obsessed, it was your scent that drew him to you, yet, your willingness to spend time with him did make him feel better.
“Are you- Yeah, sure” he had to stop himself from pointing you to another person without a partner, not yet believing you’d want to partner up with him. But your enthusiasm changed his mind.
—
Before any of you knew, the day was over and you were waiting for him on your designated spot just outside the school, it didn’t take him long to reach you.
You saw his expression change as he crossed the glass doors, first a schooled glance to the floor, not allowing himself to even look at anybody else, you didn’t understand that, he didn’t look that strong but when you touched his arm you did feel hard muscle, then, why would he avoid trouble so much?
He didn’t seem to see you at first, but he did, trust me on that, he was just afraid of you changing your mind and would very much rather if you just left than the direct confrontation, but he couldn’t understand why, why the idea of you turning your back of him turned him inside out.
But of course you didn’t, you approached him with the sweetest smile on your face and stood right in front of him “Hey!” He couldn’t hold a smile at your voice, you just sounded so eager “Should we go to the library?” Were you always this eager? No, that seemed impossible, maybe you were just happy to be with him, that certainly made his smile bigger
“Uh- I mean- Sure” he was nervous, which made him want to laugh his ass off, sure he could fight gods and monsters but send a pretty girl his way and he’d stutter “I mean, I was actually thinking we could do it on the park” he finally added, the park was a bit far, but if there were any monsters he’d be able to deflect them easily on an open place rather than a dead-quiet-library.
“Yeah! Sounds good to me!” You agreed with a sweet smile and allowed him to lead the way “Just help me with the whole getting back thing, I still don’t really know the city” he nodded eagerly, almost as much as you had before, it was an excuse to spend more time with you.
Now this didn’t concern him as cheating or misleading Annabeth, for he didn’t think you’d like him, you see, he doesn’t seem to find himself as someone most girls, especially girls like you, would feel attracted t him, so even if he felt the this growing killer bees on his stomach every time he saw you, nothing would ever happen.
You walked with him through numerous streets, he took advantage of your lack of knowledge and took you through the long path, he didn’t even notice that he’d done that at first, but you were just so engrossed on your retelling of that X-Men movie, that he wanted to hear you talk like that for hours, suddenly, you stopped, your head held down “I’m sorry, I just get a bit excited sometimes” that sobered him “No, no, it’s okay, please continue, I really want to know what happened to this Logan dude after that”
You blushed but tried to hide it with a laugh, still looking down “It’s okay, I know I can talk a lot, and it might be stressing” you added, it was your attempt to stop yourself from boring the first friend you made on that school, but it made his blood boil, people just didn’t understand you fucked up the world was, fighting every day against monsters, losing friends on the way, and how amazing it was to hear stories from someone like you, someone without the blood that he had in his hands.
“Well, I like it, and I really need more context, so the future isn’t the future then? He just changed it and that’s that?” He understood the story, but sometimes making an easy question was the easiest way to make others talk.
And you went on, you arrived to the park and sat on a desk with him, taking your supplies and started working on the project, you were open, and gave ideas, still never shut any of his, you asked for his opinion every step of the way and used almost every idea he had.
That made him feel warm, you were most likely the first person to trust his ideas and hear him without a scowl or a frown, he couldn’t understand how would anyone shut you down when you talked? Every time you looked down and scratched your arm he noticed you were stopping yourself from over sharing.
Why would anyone hurt you like that? He just wanted names, they didn’t deserve someone like you in their lives, not one bit, they deserved to suffer for making you ashamed of your words. It surprised him, really, that rage boiling inside him, and how soon it’d be gone as soon as you smiled back at him.
And then it happened, a manticore loose in the park, running around and tearing people apart, he saw the moment your instinct kicked in, you could see through the mist.
He took Riptide from his pocket and stood up, but you grabbed his arm and pulled him down, holding a finger to your lips “Don’t” was everything you said, and he gulped, maybe you did care about him a little, his mind started wandering, maybe you felt as connected to him as he did you, he wanted to nod and stay with you under the table, to keep you from danger, but the only way he knew was by killing it.
“Please” you pleased “it’s going to hurt you” he laughed humorlessly, “Not my first rodeo” was all he said as a smirk took over his mouth and winked your way, maybe he also wanted to show off a little.
It was weird, he had never wanted to show off before.
But oh well, the manticore was closing in as soon as it’s nostrils flared up with the demigod scent on him, he needed to stop thinking and start moving, natural talent and years of training in camp made it easy for him, more like a dance than a battle, not that he’d ever been good at dancing, but you get the idea.
A move to the left, an angry manticore to the right, sarcastic comment out about how bad the sun had treated the manticore’s skin and a “you should really get some moisturizer for that crack in your skin” and proceeded to stab it directly on the belly as the manticore jumped.
And he laughed, allowing the rest of adrenaline to leave him, after getting so worked up with thoughts of people hurting your feelings, killing something felt really good. Maybe too good.
He turned to look at you, and his stomach dropped, your throat was being held tightly, lifting you ever so slightly from the floor by an empusai, were monsters working together now?
Of course it would happen to him, out of all demigods in New York.
Now he realized, his blood hadn’t been boiling before, but it was now, burning his very skin from the inside, the empusai giggled and he gave a step closer, then you were struggling again “Now, now, one more move and your pet dies”
Pet? Oh now it was personal, he didn’t understand his blind rage, maybe by an outside point of view, you had reminded him of what light was, even with the ability to see monsters you saw the good in people, that much he realized from your speech about Magneto being just misunderstood.
Maybe you weren’t as innocent as he once thought but you still tried hard enough to make conversation with him, you even tried in your way to keep him safe, and now, everything he’d seen was good and worth saving was being threatened.
It didn’t took him a word, just a small move from his left hand to the side, and now it was the empusai’s blood that boiled, literally, she started crying, he didn’t stop, all the fluids in her body boiled now, and started moving inside her, desfigurating her, she screamed and let you go, he didn’t stop.
You ran to him and he threw Riptide to the ground, instantly feeling the (now lesser) weight of a pen settling on his pocket, with his now free arm he grabbed you by the showlders and held you to him.
“Don’t look” he warned, grabbing now your head and pulling it to his shoulder, one last move of his left hand to the right and the empusai’s blood chocked her to death, streaming down her ears, nostrils and eyes, her mouth forever set on a silent scream as she fell to her knees and finally turned into ichor.
Just then did he allow himself to fully hold you, his arms wrapped tightly around your as your heavy breath tickled the side of his neck, your arms wrapped just as tightly around his waist.
He realized with guilt that you were shaking, you were probably scared of him now “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry” he repeated in a whisper against your hair, unable to let you go.
“No” you shut him and separated your body from his by merely centimeters, his stomach dropped “I’m okay, you’re okay, that’s all that matters” you said grabbing his face, forcing his wandering eyes to stay still on yours “Survival of the fittest, right?” You joked and he allowed a worried breath to leave his body, you weren’t treating him like a freak.
He nodded and you hugged him again, just as tightly, he still felt you shiver every once in a while.
I’m okay, you’re okay, that’s all that matters,
I’m okay, you’re okay, that’s all that matters,
I’m okay, you’re okay, that’s all that matters.
He repeated in his head over and over like a mantra.
You were too good for this world, and if that evening showed him anything was that monsters were probably going to come for you at some point, and he wouldn’t let them get even a step close.
He promised himself then and there that no one would ever harm you, monster or otherwise. After all, the gods owed him, he could get his way this once.

max hadn’t meant to let it slip. she and robin were talking about crushes - because god knows that girl needs regular girl talk after all the shit she’s been through - about how lucas and dustin both liked max and how steve liked robin. the conversation shifted onto billy, who was still in a coma.
he had gotten a better. he started breathing on his own and was showing signs of brain activity. his fingers have twitched and slightly raised off the bed, but he still hasn’t woken up. steve and robin visit, but mostly because max begged them to after the doctor had told her that having visitors around his own age and hearing about topics more in his scope, like college and music, was probably better for him than hearing the party talk about d&d and arcade games. so they visited a couple times a week.
his hair had gotten longer since july. and curlier. less product alongside the nurses constantly brushing it out made his hair soft. sometimes she caught steve twirling the blonde curls around his finger, other times she found him running his hand from his scalp down to his ends. on rare occasions he was cupping billy’s cheek, thumb running over the scar below his eye before moving down to swipe over his bottom lip. she didn’t interrupt him when she found him like that, instead snuck back out. he looked a lot younger, too. less muscly and angry. without the scowl and constant jaw clench, he looked more at ease. she figured steve liked him better like this. soft and silent. she wasn’t sure if he’d revert back to his old ways when he woke up.
“i think lucas and dustin both liked me before he met suzie. they acted like creeps. always watching me.” she reminisced with a chuckle.
“steve confessed his love to me after puking our guts out in the starcourt bathroom when the russians drugged us.”
“i don’t know which is more romantic.” max joked. robin laughed. max was 100% her favorite little shit.
“steve’s always been a bit of a romantic. he would always spin nancy around in the hall. i hope he finds someone soon.” robin shrugged. “we both can’t be single losers forever.”
“billy was always jealous of nancy.” max snorted. “he would stare at her in the school parking lot and get mad whenever i asked.”
max was smiling fondly but it dropped in a second. she paled, her eyes growing wide when she saw robin’s confused expression. broke eye contact immediately.
“why was billy jealous of nancy wheeler?” robin frowned, confused.
“i-i meant jealous of steve.” max tried pathetically. winced at her forced tone.
“max. why was billy jealous of nancy?” robin tried again, tone soft.
max looked about two seconds away from either screaming out of rage or crying. she’s a lot like her brother, robin noted.
“he likes steve.” max blurted.
robins eyes widened as she stared at the teenager. billy hargrove, school manwhore, lady killer, king of hawkins both in and out of girl’s skirt, is-
“billy’s gay?”
“you can’t tell anyone.” max began to plead. “i wasn’t supposed to tell anyone, he made me promise. i promised i wouldn’t. not after-“ she looked up at robin. “robin please don’t tell anyone. not even steve. he can’t know. no one can.”
“but what about may and holly and-and jessica?” robin asked. “are you sure he’s not bisexual?”
max shook her head. “he just uses girls as a cover. i dont think he’s ever really... been with one.” she shrugged weakly. “i know he’s been with boys back home but his dad found out and went crazy and hurt billy really bad and.” a shaky exhale. “now we’re here.”
everyone knew about billy’s dad. max had a small meltdown when he showed up to the hospital and started screaming, telling him to get out and leave billy alone. everyone knew about neil hurting billy, but no one knew why. except now robin did.
“oh.” robin exhaled. “i won’t tell anyone.” she promised. “this stays between us, okay?” a pause. “i’m, um. i’m like billy, max.” she rubbed the back of her neck. “if anyone knows how to keep a secret, it’s me kid.”
the relief and shock on max’s face was comical.
“you - oh.” she nodded. “is that why you and steve never-“
“yeah.” robin nodded. “billy might’ve been jealous of nancy but. i was jealous of steve. tammy thompson kept staring at the doof.” she rolled her eyes. “he said she sings like a muppet. can you believe that?” max laughed.
**
steve had gone to billy’s room alone tonight. he felt bad asking robin to eat dinner with him or accompany him to visit billy after they’d visited for the past couple days. but he didn’t feel like being alone and he’ll take a sleeping billy hargrove over being lonely. but when he got to the room he heard a familiar voice. robin. she sounded like she was about to cry. or she already was.
“god, you asshole, just wake up already.” she huffed. “i was talking to max earlier and she kinda let something slip and. if i had just known then maybe you wouldn’t have been so alone.”
steve knew it was wrong to stand by the door and listen in, but he was never exactly one for tight morals. he couldn’t help but wonder what she was talking about.
“i know hawkins fucking sucks for people like us but i’m here now. and so is max and steve and joyce and everyone else. your dad is a piece of shit but you don’t have to worry about him anymore.”
steve frowned. “people like us”? what does she mean by that?
“max misses you. she reminds us of you, just not as mean.” she laughed. “at least to me. she’s a little shit to everyone else and i’m pretty sure she learned that from you but she’s pretty cool. she’d be cooler without always worrying about you, though. she’s quieter now. sometimes she goes silent and it’s like her mind is somewhere else and we all know she’s thinking of you.”
a pause.
“i think steve likes you too. if you would just wake the hell up we could all be friends. we’d be such a badass trio, dude, imagine.” a soft chuckle. “but. maybe you guys could be.. more.” a sigh. “i think he’s like us but he just seems.. confused? i don’t think he knows what he’s feeling. he’s like david bowie, i’m pretty sure. likes both.”
oh. that’s what she meant. like us.
“i know he likes you, though. he’s always touching you. he doesn’t think i see when he plays with your hair or touches your face. sometimes he touches your mouth and, fortunately for you, hargrove, i don’t think that’s straight guy behavior. i wonder if you can feel him. i hope you can.”
a sniffle, then a hushed, “i just want you guys to be happy.” a shaky exhale. “you both deserve to be happy. billy, you deserve better. you deserve more. god, you better be listening to me, dipshit. this is the nicest i’ll ever be to you, even after you wake up. which better be soon, i’m losing my patience with you.” a watery laugh.
then the room goes eerily silent. steve is about a second away from walking in when he hears,
“holy shit, hargrove, are you crying?”
steve peaks inside as quietly as humanly possible, finds a panicking robin standing above a sleeping billy with tears streaming down his cheeks.
“you’re in there.” robin laughs. “holy shit, you’re really in there. stuck inside that head under all that fucking nice and unexpectedly soft hair that you really don’t deserve. jesus, fuck.” shes rubbing at her cheeks before gently wiping his wet ones.
“you just gotta wake up, now, man. chop chop.”
**
steve’s there when billy wakes up about a week later. robin was sitting with max on one side of the bed and steve beside billy on the other in his usual seat, holding billy’s hand not-so-subtly and watching jeopardy.
billy weakly squeezed steve’s hand, a barely there thing. wide brown found tired blue, softness in steve’s eyes.
robin and max stared at billy, eyes wide in shock.
“hey, asshole,” robin greeted with a smirk. she nodded towards his and steve’s interlinked hands.
“told you so.”
she cackles at the tired and weak yet fierce and deadly glare billy sends her way.

What's your favorite character from the golden trio era?
Oooh idk possibly this is an unpopular opinion - at least it was when I was like, properly in the fandom rather than where I am now which is firmly on the sidelines with my hands over my ears and ignoring everything that I don't like - but Cho Chang. This is probably in part because she got so much undeserved hatred (thank u fandom and author racism) and I am predisposed to like characters that people don't like.
I find her character so heartbreakingly real in a way that I think is entirely accidental on JKR's part. I don't think JK can write women. (Plz don't hate me for that, but like, it's true.) Everything interesting about the characters we are meant to like gets sanded down and ignored in the later books - Hermione's whole thing is like, book smart but not emotionally intelligent, she wants to be right and have people know she's right more than she cares about their feelings. She thinks rules are important until they apply to her. She is ruthless and vindictive and petty. These are interesting character traits that just get completely dropped in the later books. By the time book 6 ends and book 7 starts Hermione is 'wife' and 'mother' and it's kinda sad.
I digress.
Cho's boyfriend is murdered. Cho is understandably upset and heartbroken and sad af. She tries to find comfort in Harry because Harry was there, Harry must understand. Harry can help her process. Their ways of dealing with trauma are completely opposite to each other. Cho seeks emotional vulnerability and closeness from the boy who, of all people, will understand. Harry's way of processing trauma is to ignore it. It happened, it sucks, I will never speak of it again (until all my unprocessed emotions come spilling out and I end up lashing out and getting angry). Those two ways of dealing with trauma are not going to work well together. Harry is honestly a dick towards her - she's his fantasy. She's not a real person to him. When that fantasy comes crashing down he behaves pretty awfully towards her. And if you're reading critically, you come away thinking yeah, Cho's a whiny crybaby who doesn't get Harry at all. What a bitch. When in reality, it's more like - Cho is seriously fucked up and is trying to come to terms with her grief and seek comfort in someone who she thought would get it.
Imagine being like, 16 and being isolated and sad and so fundamentally misunderstood. Imagine being 18 and your friends are dead and the boy you liked is still dead and the other boy you thought you might like is a hero and the only thing you're really known for is the mess that is your grief. Imagine that the popular consensus is that your grief is something to be ridiculed.
I tend to pick and chose which parts of the extended canon I believe in, but I believe in Cho moving to America and getting hitched to an American muggle dude. (Moving to America is probably my own headcanon actually). What would motivate her to move across the world? Grief? Wonderlust? Anger? I imagine it's all three. Idk if this is a relatable feeling to a lot of people, but I get it. I have a constant itch under my skin that tells me to move on whenever a place starts to feel too much like home. To leave. To escape. Nowhere feels like home because home is a collection of broken things. It's a hall of funhouse mirrors - the wires in your brain get mixed up. Comfort and safety become synonymous with 'i will fuck this up' and 'i don't deserve this' and 'everyone will leave'.
I want so many things for Cho. I want her name to make sense. I want her to be seen as something other than 'pretty' and 'sad'. I want her in Boston slamming Sam Adams by Sam Adams grave because she finds it funny. I want her in Boston, learning to drive a car (stick-shift because the driving instructor had made a comment about how automatics are easier to learn and she is tired of people seeing her as something weak and unable). I want her road-raging and I want her to drive across the country because why the fuck not. I want her in New York and the city is so frantic and no one looks at her and she feels so small and the lights are so bright and she thinks maybe she could disappear here and no one would ever know. I want her to find a group of women rollerskating and maybe they invite her to their roller derby group. It isn't flying, but it's fast and aggressive and she's never allowed herself to be aggressive like this before. She's not allowed herself to be angry like this before. No one else has allowed her to be angry like this before.
I want her to go to California and to go to Angel Island and I want her to understand that there have been people like her before. That she is not alone in this feeling. I want her to meet a dude who's studying for an MBA - he doesn't know who she is. Doesn't know what she is. She's just this cute girl who drinks Sam Adams even tho that's a Boston thing and they're in San Diego. He's probably a frat boy. I want him to be a frat boy who takes his degree too seriously and wakes up at like 5 because he's also a gym rat. He takes her to his boxing class. She probably cries during and hey that's okay - she has a lot of shit to work through, he can tell. He doesn't ask about it. Just says her accent is cute. Maybe she starts taking night classes, maybe she doesn't. She's weirdly technologically illiterate - she sends him postcards even though they live in the same city. She says its because her school didn't let them have phones. She's never seen a Tarintino film and that's just like... not cool. They watch True Romance on his shitty box TV in his room in his frat house and she laughs (she laughs like the violence is cathartic) when Alabama completely destroys Virgil. He looks at her and she shrugs and says 'I get it.'
She says that's she's leaving soon - doesn't know where. Probably isn't coming back and again that's... not cool. She's weird about some stuff. Won't talk about home - won't say where she's from. He should be fine with it because like, it's not as if this is anything serious and his life is pretty clearly planned out. Get an MBA, work in some start-up tech company - the internet is a thing now and god, there's money to be made. He thinks maybe that she should like, stay but she also seems like the kind of person who doesn't know how to stop running. And look, he's doing an MBA. He rushed his frat. He goes to boxing every morning without fail. He's determined. He's not good at letting the things he wants go. But he lets her go because she doesn't want to stay. One night afterwards, his frat bro says, philosophical because they're crossfaded, that maybe she can't stay. Maybe she won't let herself stay. And that... That sounds about right.
So he waits. He waits and he gets postcards with no return address - in Seattle, she tries ice hockey. In Miami, she tries surfing. He almost gets on a plane to Cincinnati because she got into a fight with some dude who made his girlfriend cry in public. Apparently, she knocked him out with a punch just the way he showed her to. It feels weirdly romantic.
I want her to write a postcard to him when she's sitting in a bar in Las Vegas and I want her to include a return address. I want him on the first flight out, because fuck his classes? She included a return address. He asks her if she's ever going to go home and she looks at him and says, 'What? To San Diego?'

I like to think the Mirror World is a reflection of the regular world (I call it Prime World for convenience's sake), and by reflection I mean opposite. It's not opposite in a "good v evil" way, just in the sense that a mirror world counterpart is the inverse of their prime world self, for better or for worse. For example, Noddies in Prime World sleep for most of their lives, while Mirror Noddies barely ever sleep and are constantly alert. Instead of a Sleep Ability, they give Panic, aka the Kirby equivalent of slurping down 15 espresso shots in a row. The mirror world counterparts are no better or worse than the prime world, just different!
Headcanons for all the mirror world counterparts of the Star Allies (or at least the ones I've thought abt) are under the cut :3c
Shadow Kirby (Skirby): Where Prime Kirby is reckless, bold, and overconfident, Skirby is reserved, cautious, and kinda pessimistic. They're no weaker or meaner than Prime Kirby, but seem a bit shy and non-confrontational because they always want to scope out the scene before they launch into anything. Some might call it cowardly, but Skirby thinks it's pragmatic. Much like prime Kirby, though, he's the hero of Popstar and is usually the planet's last defense against whatever eldritch horror comes their way. He deserves a break, though, since unlike Prime Kirby he's not surrounded by friends to help him out
Shadow Dedede (SDDD): He started off as a good king, always being diligent, professional, and responsible in contrast to Prime DDD's self-serving, goofy ways. He wanted what was best for the mirror world, but life didn’t make it easy. The mirror dees, rather than the loyal helpers we know from the prime world, were backstabbing jerks who were loyal to no one but themselves. SDDD tried so hard to be a good king, but had no one to help, no one to pull him out of a slump, so he just slipped through the cracks and got worse. Bitterness and anger consumed him until he started looking out for himself and himself only. He became a tyrant, turning into an iron-fisted, merciless ruler whose laws were enforced through violence. DDD got better with the help of his friends, but SDDD got much, MUCH worse as a result of his isolation and loneliness. Also he has a battle axe instead of a hammer bc I think it's cool
Dark Meta Knight (DMK): He's basically the antithesis of a knight: he's willing to work for anyone no matter how rotten they are; he always plans on backstabbing them later, cares about no one but himself, never plays fair, and is a lazy, rude jerk. He likes spicy foods instead of sweets, challenges children to duels WITHOUT offering them a sword first, and is deathly afraid of heights, despite having wings. He was in the process of creating a land-razing tank called the Halberd, but his crew betrayed him and cut up his wings and mask so now he isolates himself out of anger and fear. After being with the Star Allies, he's made some friends and realized the value of teamwork-- also he likes teaching Adeleine swears. With Dark Mind gone and the Mirror World still a bit of a dump, DMK would much rather hang out in the prime world and get on Meta Knight's nerves. He tries his best to protect the two (2) people in the mirror world he does tolerate, though (it's skirby and sddd).
Mirror Bandee: Hates SDDD with a passion. In fact, he's attempted to assassinate the king at least 26 times, but fails both because SDDD is way smarter than him and also Mirror Bandee is a sniveling coward who runs at the first sign of danger. His repeated failures have made him more of a scaredy cat, so no one takes him seriously anymore. He has a knife and ties his bandana around his "mouth" like a scarf, but it doesn't help to make him more intimidating. His repeated attempts to kill the king (and more recently Skirby and DMK, who hang out with SDDD) have become a constant in their lives and weirdly enough they don't mind his company.
Mirror Marx: I always assumed that Prime Marx was a noddy with Mirror instead of sleep. Well Mirror Marx is the opposite-- instead of having Panic like the regular hyperactive Mirror Noddies, he has sleep. He didn't show up for the events of Amazing Mirror bc he was snoozin. Because of this, he never got the Nova's powers, never tricked skirby, and never did anything evil. In fact, unlike Prime Marx, Mirror Marx cares too much about everyone's feelings, is always kind, and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's the glue holding the mirror world together bc not even the worst of villains want to hurt him. He's just so darn CUTE
Mirror Animal Friends: Imagine the animal friends. Give them angry expressions and sunglasses. Now make them part of a gang. Yeah that's it. The Animals are no friend of skirby's and would sooner maul the poor kid than ever lend him a paw (or flipper or wing). The forest bows to their whims and they rule it like your typical mafia boss. They're jerks.
Mirror Daroach: See these posts.
Dark Taranza: Hoo BOY he's bad. He's real bad. He rules over Mirror Floralia (Sporalia?) which is underground and filled with nasty creepy crawlies. He hates getting his hands dirty and will do anything it takes to get more power and luxury so long as he doesn't have to put himself in danger. He only cares about one thing, and that's himself. What about Queen Sectonia, you ask? She was the original queen of Mirror Floralia, but Dark Taranza mind-controlled her into his puppet to do his bidding. When the people finally snapped and declared war on the tyrannical queen, it was her they shattered, being none the wiser that Dark Taranza was the one pulling the strings. He still has a box of her shards in his castle, just in case he needs a new puppet to play with. He loves jewels and machines, all things inorganic. The imperfections of flowers? Not his style.
Mirror Magolor: Quick tangent here: Mirror Lor Starcutter, rather than being a ship to BRING people to paradise, is a sort of pocket paradise, a little virtual reality magic... thing. It can also be easily modified to only open from the outside. That's important for later. Anyway, Mirror Magolor is brutally honest, but also rude, unfriendly, impulsive, and incredibly violent. He hates machines and will start punching a lamppost if he accidentally walks into it. Scrappy little dude. He would actually rather claw his ears off than be friends with another living being. He just likes brawling and destroying ancient artifacts and that's it. Well one day he tells the mirror crew he wants to go get this thing called the Master Crown so he can destroy it. SDDD, Skirby, Mirror Bandee and DMK realize hey, that'd be nice for us to have, let's join him and then betray him at the last minute. As soon as they get there, though, the crown ends up choosing Mirror Mags as a host before anyone can do anything. Oops! The others manage to shatter him... but then the crown pulls his shards back together and attacks them again. Realizing he's both totally lost it and also immortal, the others lock Mirror Mags inside the Lor as the crown erodes the last of his humanity. Consumed by blind rage and the crown's power, Mirror Magolor just lashes out at anything that moves, biting and clawing at whatever he can reach like a feral cat. There's like a 80% chance he has rabies.
Sorry to Susie, Gooey, Adeleine, and all the non-Star Allies crew, I haven't thought abt them yet

What are we, then? - JJ Imagine
A/N: I fell hard into a new obsession: JJ Maybanks yes it is. So, I badly wanted to write something but had literally no ideas so I took this prompt list and made a friend choose 2 random numbers. They picked: 9. “we’re not just friends and you know it”
27. “what do you mean maybe? that was a yes or no question”
So yeah. Enjoy some angst.
Words: 2.249
Pairing: JJ x female!reader
—Don’t you fucking dare walk away from me! —JJ shouted after her.
—Watch me, asshole. —she stopped her steps and half turned her body just to give him the middle finger. Her facial expression showed the rage she felt.
Angry outbursts were pretty common between them. They’d known each other since kindergarten, a couple of years before John B came to the picture. So, their relationship was stronger, deeper. They knew each other to the bones. The gang was used to their loud yet harmless fights. JJ was short-tempered, and so was she. At the end, the fact that they shouted their opinions at each other at the moment they felt it was healthier considering they always reconciled half an hour later.
But this time something was different. An event that had happened between them a few days earlier had changed it everything, and nothing would ever be the same. Such event was unknown by the others, and maybe that’s why they were all so confused.
The thing is, for the first time, neither of them were spitting their feelings out. And oh boy it did cause a lot of misunderstandings.
She and JJ decided to shelter from Agatha at John B’s place. It was no news JJ tried to avoid his house as much as possible. She always convinced her parents of letting her go with them as JJ was considered another son and spent a lot of time at hers, and they also wanted their daughter to be a good friend to John B after his dad went missing. Once her throat burned due to her shouting at John B to get his ass out of the ocean in the middle of a hurricane she gave up and waited for them to come back. Luckily JJ found a little sense within his logic and convinced John B of getting out of the water as the storm was way too heavy.
At the Chateau, they cooked some noodles and ate between anecdotes and candles due to the lack of power. Around 3 in the morning Agatha was still blowing, a few cans of beer empty were around the coffee table, she and JJ were sprawled on the sofa bed and John B asleep in his bedroom. The pair was listening to I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing from her phone as they heard the wind and thunder outside. They’d smoked a blunt and were then absorbed in the flame of the candle in front of them.
Her pupils were dilated and she couldn’t feel his eyes on her. Or at least that’s what he thought.
—Staring is rude dude… —She voiced out loud, but softly, in a sleepy state.
He let out a short laugh and then directed his sight to the candle. —You’re so mean to me.
Now it was her turn to laugh. —Yeah, so?
He gently pushed her arm and then let his head fall on her shoulder, his blonde locks tickling her skin. She rested her head on his and closed her eyes but a moment later he looked up and set his eyes on her face, more serious this time. Her eyes locked with his.
—What? —she said in a whisper.
But he was at a loss of words, which didn’t happen often. They just got in a trance where a lot of emotions were in each pair of eyes with a classic love song in the back. At a certain moment his gaze moved down to her lips and his breath stuck in his throat. JJ was never a shy one when it came to girls. His ego, not confidence, always led situations smoothly. But for the first time in his life, he had no clue what he was doing. It’s not like they hadn’t shared alone moments like this before, they always had. The amount of trust between them had no comparison. They were totally sincere with each other, since they’d met there was not a thing they didn’t know about each other.
JJ leaned in and stopped closing the distance just when there were 2 millimeters left to create contact. His blue orbits checked for permission with hers first. She didn’t move at all. He took that as a green light and collided his mouth with hers.
The kiss was soft, and meaningful. Yes, they had a couple of beers running through their veins, and yes also a little of weed into their systems yet they felt like time stopped. It was like the Universe was created for this and only this moment. They felt everything around them vanished. It felt right, just like when you fit the last piece of the puzzle.
The sound of a lightning striking near their location pulled them apart. They shared one more look though this one was loaded with a bit of embarrassment. The moment got kinda awkward and they dealt with it by pretending what happened did not actually happen. She turned around and he cuddled her like they always did.
The next morning John B woke up first, walking from his bedroom to the porch, catching the pair of friends peacefully sleeping in each other’s arms. He ruffled JJ’s hair asking him if he’d been outside yet only earning a groan as a response. Hours later she woke up and went home without talking to her best friend about the intimate moment they’d shared.
A few days later they threw the kegger, there happened strike one. JJ eventually disappeared with a smokin’ hot tourist, which did not go unnoticed by her. She’d seen JJ go from a clumsy kiddo to the sex symbol boy, she’d been there through the beginning to the end of his puberty, she knew better than even bother by his multiple random hookups. Still, after the intense look he had given her before kissing her had left her somewhat overwhelmed. And the fact that they had shared such a passionate moment together days ago made her actually uncomfortable at witnessing JJ get it with some other girl. This was brand new for her, literally she had never been jealous of the blonde. Oh and, one more time, feelings were bottled up.
Strike two took place at The Wreck when the group was in for a fast food meal. They’d gone inside towards their usual table while Kie went to the kitchen. The boys were just sitting when she was approached by Tom, a pogue, with a “Hey, how have you been?” to which she replied with a genuine smile. The boy had had a crush on her since middle school. He was kinda cute, light brown hair, green eyes, a couple of freckles under his eyes and on his nose. And he was nice, a good guy really. Her mom always wanted them to date but she didn’t find the chemistry reciprocated. And JJ had secretly been relieved by that. Not because he wanted her romantically or anything like that but because he dreaded the time she’d got a boyfriend and stopped hanging out with him. Tom asked her to go surfing with him the next day and she agreed, partly because she hadn’t surfed in weeks, and partly because she had bottled her jealousy at the kegger and kind of wanted to hit it back to JJ, as she was completely aware of how JJ felt towards Tom. Through the corner of her eye she caught JJ’s irritable gesture when she accepted the invitation.
A week after the secret kiss, the gang was at John B’s hanging out. By now, the tension between the two was clear to everyone, and their friends knew an explosion was coming soon. They weren’t teasing the hell out of each other as they usually did. They weren’t sitting next to each other in the boat as they usually did. And they also were hitting each other every chance they got, like when she had smacked his head from behind in the afternoon that same day when they were at the beach and the blonde was flirting with a girl, ruining their moment. Or when she was going to the fridge to seek for a beer can and he was coming out of it and shove his elbow into her arm, earning a gasp and a scowl.
—Yo! What is your problem dude? —her voice denoted she was at the edge which only pleased the blonde even more making him smile.
Kie and John B shared a look as Pope sighed resignedly foreseeing what was coming.
—Maybe the fact that you ruined my moment today.
She scoffed and walked past him rolling her eyes. —Yeah, sure. Cause you have so much trouble slutting around with everything that walks.
—Uhhh, excuse me. Do you have a problem with it?
Their friends sighed and walked out to the porch in order to give them space and to be honest, they were not in the mood to witness another of their fights so they rather stargaze outside while the two sorted it out.
—Oh no, be my guest bro. I’m just sayin’ why do you call me out on “ruining your moment” when you can have “your moments” whenever you want.
He smiled sarcastically and looked down at the floor before lifting up his gaze to her. —You’ve been a pain in the ass the whole week, you are the one with a problem obviously.
—I am not. I’ve been the pain in the ass? Are you sure? Cause someone else comes to my mind. —she rolled her eyes and exhaled loudly as she let herself fall on the couch and took a sip of her drink.
—You’re unbelievable.—Did you mean it?
He looked at her in confusion. —What?
—You know what. Did you mean it?
He shrugged his shoulders and looked down to hide the light blush of his cheeks. —Maybe.
Strike three, you’re out.
—Maybe? What do you mean maybe? That was a yes or no question.
—I-I don’t know —his hand went to grab his hair. —Maybe.
—Forget it. —she stood up and he freaked out.
—What? Are you in your period or something?
That’s when she stormed off the Chateau fuming.
The sound of the slammed door got the other three’s attention, turning their heads to look at the person walking away.
—Don’t you fucking dare walk away from me! —JJ shouted after her.
—Watch me, asshole. —she stopped her steps and half turned her body just to give him the middle finger. Her facial expression showed the rage she felt.
After a few minutes John B, Pope and Kiara all got up and went inside to find JJ standing in the middle of the room with a hand grabbing his hair and with the other holding a beer, looking down at an invisible point on the floor.
—What did you do? —Kie asked him with furrowed eyebrows.
JJ grimaced and sighed. —I might have said the period line… —Kie let her head fall backwards and took a deep breath. —Of course you did…
—That’s just a dick move. Anyway, what is going on between you two? You’ve been annoying all week. —John B voiced.
But he only closed his eyes and breathed out heavily.
Hours later the surfer skated all the way to her house. He threw some rocks at her window to wake her but after a few minutes nothing happened, then he noticed a shadow on the roof, next to one of the windows of the big house. He climbed up and jumped from the tree to the roof, a few feet away from her. She was hugging her knees and staring right ahead with her chin resting on her arms. There were no signs of remaining anger, just plain tiredness, and a touch of sadness. He caught that in her eyes, he knew her so well, and it made his heart sunk to know he had caused it. He cleared his throat and dried his palms on his shorts. He felt nervous and it caused his hands to sweat.
—I’m sorry.
She blinked slowly but kept her gaze set ahead. He felt ashamed by his behaviour.
—We’re not just friends and you know it. —now he did get her attention.
She just smiled and rolled her eyes changing her pose, resting her palms on the roof and leaning her core weight on them.
—What are we exactly, then..? —she was teasing him and he smiled sweetly. He nudged her and they both laughed. A second later he looked down and bit his lip deep in thought. She turned her head to look at him.
—You’re everything to me. —he said quietly, still not daring to lift his sight. —I never want to lose you. —he said with an expression of pain on his beautiful face. She furrowed her brows and hugged him. —You never will, idiot. Have I ever given up on you? —she whispered near his cheek due to the hug. His eyes filled with forbidden tears. He nodded no with his head as he didn't trust his voice. Her smile grew wider and she kissed his cheek softly. —See? I’m always there with you. Every day, every week, every year. You’re not getting rid of me that easily. —he half laughed half sobbed and immediately cleaned the tears forcefully with the back of his hand. She held him tighter and he put his head on her.
—So, I guess the answer is yes, I meant it.

Don't Belong Here
Part 1
Fandom: Bright
OC Fogteeth Orc x Reader
By: @pusantheamazonian
You're dragged to one of the monthly Fogteeth party's against your will. For once it doesn't end up a bad night for you.
The music's too loud, there's too many people and now this. You’re staring up at the orc, and he’s standing in front of you mumbling something.
"Sorry but you're going to have to speak up. Bad hearing." Tapping your right ear, you scoot over on the couch. Allowing him to sit down.
"You don't belong here." Huffing he leans over before sitting.
Chuckling, you already knew that. A packed house party with strobe lights, mosh pit and dubious activities is not your idea of a fun time. You'd rather be at home under a mound of blankets with all the food watching Gravity Falls.
Why not amuse him. It's not like you're going to come to another one of these ever again and he'll probably be with someone else by the end of the night.
"Flaming red asshole hair." Pointing at the bar. "My sister and her girlfriend. They are the ones who dragged me here."
"Yeah they've been here before." Nodding he takes a drink.
"Said I was a bad night shifter and needed to socialize. So this." Gesturing at yourself. You had purposely worn an oversized hoodie and sweatpants. Sat in the back corner away from everyone. So that people would avoid talking to you but not this guy. Apparently he didn't get the memo.
“Sitting in the corner is not socializing.” Teasing he gives you a lopsided grin.
“Eh, close enough.” Waving your hand you dismiss that accusation.
The more you look at him, he's kinda cute and not entirely threatening looking. You know orcs have quite a bit of range on them. From looking terrifying to absolutely adorable. He's chunky but it works for him, honestly it's doing it for you.
God this not what you are supposed to be doing. So what if he's your type. Stop oolging. The Fogteeth jersey he's wearing means he's bad news.
"Name's Ronnie."
"Y/N." You quickly scan the crowd to make sure you haven't lost your two hooligans. Cause those bitches would leave you for a dirty alley quickie. And you’ve lost them. "Is it always this loud?"
"The barbeque is a lot quieter."
"I would hope so." You don't know why but you find yourself smiling and laughing. The more you talk to him the less grumpy you are about being here. His humor is out there but he's very pleasant to talk to.
God. He doesn't know what's going on. You smell faintly of blackberries. He keeps getting a whiff every time you lean in to hear him. Most humans run away in disgust from him, especially women. But you're still here.
You don't know how long it's been, hours you imagine but you're ripped from peace very suddenly.
"Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!" Your sister is screaming at the top of her lungs.
"What Charlie?" Panicked, you immediately stand up.
"Come on! You're up next. You can't miss your turn!" She’s jumping excitedly.
"Turn for what?" Confused, you look at Ronnie hoping he might know. He shakes his head no. You haven't seen anyone playing games that would require turns.
"You'll see." Giving you a suspicious smile and pulling your arm.
As she starts to drag you away, you instantly grab a hold of Ronnie. Dragging him with you through the sea of people. You know her suspicious smiles never lead to anything good. It’s best to have another witness or at least someone on your side.
To his surprise he lets you drag him along. Your warm hand tightly interlocked with his. Whatever your sister has planned can't be that bad.
He was wrong.
"You got to be kidding me." Horrified you let go of everybody and back away. Charlie has led you to a back room where it is fight club night.
"Nope!" Olivia is squealing, suddenly appearing on your left. Trying not to shake in excitement or else she'll spill the contents in her arms. "Three shots of Everclear and a can of Fat Orc."
"Are you serious? This the real reason you brought me?" This is so uncalled for and obviously something that they have planned. They've been doing shit like this a lot lately.
"No we did want you to socialize but then we found this and everything else was thrown to the side." Olivia rambles on.
"I hate y'all so much." So offended you can't process what’s really happening.
"Awe come on you can do it." Charlie tries to pep talk you further into it.
"No I'm not! I'm not thunderdome-ing it so y'all can win some money. This-" In processing of telling them off you're interrupted by an asshole.
"Yes run on home girl. This is a man's room. Don't want you to hurt yourself." Sneering he leaves just as quickly as he appeared.
"That's your opponent." Olivia whispers.
"How much Charlie?" Glaring you watch him disappear back into the crowd. Fuck it. Eye twitching, inner alpha bitch activated.
"$100." She knows you're hooked now.
"Give it." Still staring off into the direction he went, you hold a waiting hand out. Grinning wickedly Charlie tosses the Fat Orc at you. Cracking it open, you chug the entire thing in one go. With the boiling rage inside of you, the can is crushed with one hand. Everything else can wait. This asshole needs to be taught a lesson.
The current fight ends and the orc ring leader is yelling out different things. The bookie next to him is frowning. Apparently he betted on the wrong guy.
"Give me your sweatshirt and finish the shots.” Olivia giggles.
"Hold your horses." Grumbling with a grimace you downed the last shot. Somehow your sweatshirt’s already off and Charlie's pushing into the ring. It's a stupid makeshift ring. Just a circle outlined in chalk.
"Place your bets!" The ringleader shouts.
"Oh you going to stay?" He smugly questions.
"To beat your sexist ass? I wouldn't miss it." Snapping back you're fueled with liquor and hatred. Dude looks like a unsanitary version of fuck boy. Which just further fuels the fire.
He can’t believe what he's seeing, you have transformed into a completely different person. The quiet girl who didn't even want to be here is now a feral animal.
A crowd is gathering. Often it's human men that enter the ring on these nights. Testing how long they can last against an orc or other humans. Rare is it that a woman enters, even rarer that they win. Causing this much uproar has reached the top of the command chain. Seeing Dorghu enter the room. Everything has escalated and Dorghu happens to stand next to him.
"With the house cut, she'll get over $900 if she wins." Craft informs.
“Who is she?” Dorghu demands, not many capture his interest.
“She came in with Ronnie.” Craft grins at him.
"Ronnie?" Dorghu turns in surprise.
"We were talking then her sister brought her back here.” Nodding at Charlie. “He made a sexist comment and she flipped. Did three shots, a can of Fat Orc and got in. She’s been drinking water all night."
“Interesting.” Dorghu turns back to the match to watch you counter a punch and punch him in the middle of the throat. With a kick to the stomach you knock him to the ground.
"The winner!" An orc yells to a sea of angry groans, briefly holding your arm up. Exhausted everything is spinning, ears are ringing and the liquor burps start.
"Give me my stuff." Slurring you almost lose your balance looking for Charlie and Olivia. Staggering a few steps you make it safely to them. You have forgotten everything about Ronnie and exactly where you are. It's too hot in this room and you need a nap. You are going to regret everything in the morning. Tugging your hoodie back on you doesn't bother zipping it.
The bookie appears as you're putting everything back into your pockets. Of course you have to be the one to collect the money.
"$936 all yours." Smiling he hands you the cash. You see his eyes dip for a second before leaving to collect money for the next round.
"Thanks." Great, he just got an eye full down your shirt. What a pervert. Spinning back to the hooligans, it is time for their punishment. "Ten for you and ten for you. Two four six eight for me."
"Come on-" Whining Charlie starts pouting.
"Zip it! It's whatcha get for signing me up without my permission." You whip around determined to give it back to the bookie.
You visibly pause when you make eye contact with Dorghu. You're not stupid you vaguely know what he looks like. Change of plans. Drunk you who is still pissed has decided on a new dumb plan. You march straight to Dorghu, maintaining eye contact. Everyone watching you is confused.
Out of sheer intoxicated boldness you grab his hand and put the winnings in it.
"Keep it. Fun party. It was nice talking to someone besides Ronnie's kinda cute. So do what you do."
The room freezes. You can feel the tension but could care less about it. Clear as day you touched the leader like it was nothing then spoke perfect Bodzvokhan to him. Before toddling off complaining about getting fresh air and water.
~
Your sister said you were probably at the car cooling off. He checked the parking lot twice. No sign of you. That's until he gets a whiff of you.
After making it outside you disappeared down an alley by the car. Much quieter, no people and the breeze is nice. Sitting on the ground you can feel yourself nodding off.
"Ah!" Jumping from the sudden cold against your neck. It's Ronnie holding a water bottle. "Dang it Ronnie you scared the bejeezus out of me." You accept the water bottle.
At this position you can really see how tall and massive he is. Sort of reminds you of the Strongman Champion Brian Shaw. Your mind drifts, wondering how he would taste and feel in your hand. Your insides quiver from the thought. What the fuck? Trying your hardest you focus on the bottle.
"You shouldn't be trying to sleep in the alley then."
"Fair point. Thank you for the water." Struggling for a second you finally open the water.
"You speak Orc?" From this angle he can see straight down your shirt. He can see that you were hiding a great set under that hoodie.
"Learned it in high school trying to impress a boy. Some of my co-workers are orcs so it works out." Shrugging speaking Orc isn't a big deal, anyone can learn it.
"You didn't say you could fight."
"Honestly, it's like some drunken boxing Kung Fu shit but the more intoxicated I am. The more berserker I get when fighting." Taking a swig of water. "I don't usually drink or purposely get into fights."
"Damn baby." Taking the risk, you have been an enjoyable companion tonight. Why not see what the limit is.
"Don't call me baby." You aggressively glare at him to make a point.
"Whatever you say, Sprinkles." Putting his hands up in surrender, he needs to change the subject quickly.
"Sprinkles? That…that's different but okay." Weird name to choose but he seems to get the point.
"How's your hearing?" Lowering himself, he sits down beside you. He has no plans for tonight.
"Much better. I can clearly hear you and not have to be all up on you just to listen."
You see his ears twitch at that comment. Maybe he does like being close to you.
"Brave move you did. Handing the money directly to Dorghu."
"Yeah. But it's the only way I knew how. The money would make it back for the next party. Does that make sense?"
"I get your point."
"I don't need the money and it's payback for them setting the fight up in the first place." You give him a mischievous eyebrow wiggle.
"So you think I'm cute?" Blurting out the question was not the smoothest thing he had planned but it’s the easiest way.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Your face gets a little warmer and you stare at the opposite wall. Hard. You forgot he could speak orc.
"Don't worry I think you're cute too."
"What?" Surprised and suspicious. You can't help but to stare at him like he’s crazy as you feel your heart rate speed up. "Are you sure it's not because I just kicked someone's ass?"
"About 90% sure." Teasing he gives you a genuine smile.
"Y/N!" Charlie yells.
"Y/N! We're ready to go!" Olivia is screaming.
"Y/N! Where - oops sorry for interrupting." Charlie yells louder, now walking down the alley. Until she sees you two.
"You two could wake the neighborhood." Groaning, you're still annoyed with them. It's going to be a long car ride home.
"Rude! Not my fault you're deaf." Charlie scoffs.
"Wait by the car!" You fling a rock in their direction and they scamper away.
“Oh I'm going to end up snapping one day and killing them.” Groaning you heave yourself off the ground. Ronnie does the same while trying not to laugh.
"Sprinkles, you get more interesting by the second. How about I get your number so I can stay up-to-date?" In bold fashion he holds his phone out.
"Really?" Stunned, no one’s asked for your number before.
"Yes." Nodding in reassurance.
"I guess since you're so adamant." Pretending to be exasperated, you enter your number under the name Sprinkles. Turns out socializing for once wasn't that bad.

I Got This
Fandom: Chicago PD / One Chicago
Characters: Jay Halstead x Reader
Warning/s: none
Word Count: 1,385
Request: Can you do a Jay Halstead x reader were everyone thinks of the reader as a soft girl but in reality she's a bada*s so when they're at Molly's one night and a guy starts hitting on the reader & he takes it almost too far but the reader protects themselves and slams the dude against the bar. Thank you love!!
“You know it’s rude to ignore someone when they’re talking to you sweetheart,” the older and definitely a little intoxicated man slurred at you, leaning way too close for comfort as you waited for your drinks at the bar at Molly’s.
To say you were tense was an understatement; the bar was packed to bursting tonight and you knew none of your friends, or your boyfriend Jay, could really see you or what was going on from the booth they’d managed to snag at the back wall.
Doing your best to ignore him you attempted to shuffle a little to the side, feeling his beer filled breath practically down your neck. You couldn’t move very far without bumping into someone else, so you were stuck.
“Hey, come now, I’m sensing a lot of attitude here, what’s your problem?” He demanded, tone getting angrier as it always did with entitled men who thought that they were owed a woman’s time and attention.
You gritted your teeth and said nothing, hoping that by ignoring him he’d get fed up and leave. But out the corner of your eye you saw that he had a cocky look on his face, realising that at least for the moment you were trapped with him at the bar as he shuffled a little closer to you again.
The knuckles on fists were going white as you gripped the edge of the bar, but the creep didn’t seem to notice, too busy watching you like a predator sizes up it’s prey. You didn’t want to cause a scene, not here, but if he forced your hand, he’d soon learn who was who in that situation.
Although you were small and generally soft and quiet, you’d been raised with three much older army brothers and a fourth closer to your age that had served with your now boyfriend Jay. So it was safe to say that you knew how to handle yourself, you just picked your battles carefully.
“Come on, don’t be so uptight, have a drink with me,” he pushed, a hand reaching out to your waist as your own slipped off the counter and into a fist, feet shifting a little into a better stance to defend yourself.
Just as things were about to get ugly you saw Jay appear from the crowd, realising you’d been gone a long time. He took one look at you, and then at the situation unfolding before you, and immediately went into defensive boyfriend mode.
“Excuse me,” he said loudly, putting a rough hand on the man’s shoulder and pulling him back before he could touch you, stepping slightly between you and him. Your shoulders dropped a little but you stayed in your stance, knowing that this could still turn at any minute but grateful that Jay was now by your side. “What’s going on?” Jay asked the man, anger clear in his voice.
“Hey, easy there,” the man tried to say cooly, removing Jay’s hand from his shoulder and holding up his hands a little, “me and the lady were in the middle of a conversation, so if you don’t mind...” He tried to take another step forward but Jay stood his ground, putting his hand out to stop the man’s advance.
The man couldn’t keep his cool facade much longer as his face flickered with rage at being denied something he thought he deserved. “Who the hell do you think you are?” Jay demanded.
“Who the hell do I think I am?” The guy mocked back, returning the question to Jay without answering, “who the hell do you think you are?”
Jay took a sharp breath, “I’m ‘the lady’’s boyfriend,” he told him straight, hoping that that would be enough to get the guy to back off. The whole situation had you fuming, but as much as you wanted to take this on yourself, you knew this asshole was more likely to respect a no from Jay than from you, no matter how infuriating that fact was.
Instead, however, the man put a finger to Jay’s chest, squaring up and puffing out his chest. Although he was older than Jay, he was also rounder, and about half a foot shorter. Even so, he seemed to think he was somehow the superior male in this situation, like you were all some god damn animals in the wild, as he said: “well, maybe your girlfriend would like to see what it’s like to be with a real man instead of a boy,” he retorted.
You couldn’t help it, letting out an uncontrollable snort of laughter at his remark that made his face go red hot, you could almost imagine steam coming from his ears. “Don’t I get a say? Because I say no,” you snapped, unable to believe what was happening.
“Listen sweetheart-” he began, pointing his finger at you now like he was about to start some condescending lecture when Jay interupted, shaking his head and clenching his jaw hard.
“Watch it,” he got out as the man whirled back to him. Realising this wasn’t going his way now, nor would it ever, he did the only thing a drunk and unreasonable man would ever consider doing when faced with this situation: he took a swing.
Jay was looking back to make sure you were okay when he readied his fists, and by the time he’d got up a forearm to defend himself you had reached your last straw.
Before anyone knew what was happening you’d caught the man’s sloppy right hook, slide stepping both men and proceeding to twist the drunk’s arm behind his back, taking a knee to back of his legs and slamming him down chest and head first onto the bar with a loud slam.
The whole bar when quiet, the only sound being Stella quietly cursing as she accidentally let a glass of beer overflow from the tap, too busy watching what had just unfolded to notice.
“You little bitch-” he snarled but you twisted his arm tighter and cut him off. Everyone looked shocked, even Jay was momentarily frozen as he tried to process what had just happened.
“Hey, come now, I’m sensing a lot of attitude here, what’s your problem?” You mimicked back to him, giving his arm one last sharp twist before tugging him back up off of the bar and turning him to face you.
“Listen-” He began, but you were so far past done at this point.
“No, you listen, get the hell out of my bar,” you ordered him, voice scarily calm for someone who had just flipped a man over a bar. He looks around at all the stares and seems to realise that no one is coming to his aid, and why would they?
He grumbled more profanities at you and turned to leave, but you knew better.
The swing was as predictable as it was wide, and you easily ducked under his arm, aiming a sharp jab just under his ribcage for good measure as he stumbled back, the force of the swing and the punch throwing him off balance as he stumbled back, tripping over his own feet and crashing to the floor.
He was clearly dazed as he stared up at you, but when he slowly managed to pull himself back to his feet, he definitely realised that he’d lost. Humiliated and angry he at least has the good sense to realise he’s made a terrible mistake, so with a huff he storms out of the bar, the crowd of people stood around parting to let him.
You nodded to your self, satisfied with that conclusion as you stretch out your fist. It took a few seconds for people to go back to their own business, minus a few claps in your direction as they do.
Turning to Jay you saw him staring at you, love and admiration on his face. “You’re a badass baby,” he told you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and kissing you.
“Hell yeah I am,” you repled with a laugh as Herrmann finally came back over to your part of the bar with your drinks, eyes wide as he gaped at you.
“Remind me never to piss you off,” he said and you smiled with pride at yourself.
Damn right, you thought.
