oo hoo hoo picking up Fern from the bike shop today >:]

Had her in for a tune up and to get a whole trainer wheel set up. Tbh i didn’t think a mountain bike needed a trainer tire [smooth] but thankfully i looked it up and boy howdy. That would’ve destroyed the treads!

The bike trainer is a tire drive type, where the whole bike sits/locks on and u pedal with a sensor attatched to the back wheel. I miss cycling around town [no need for it with current job] and rn it’s too icy to take Fern anywhere safely, so i thought why not cycle indoors??

I also got a whole game pack with like 3 or 4 Metal Gear games [ps4]. I’ll b so real i have myself set up to play video games while cycling i’m so stoked >:] eheeheheeeheee

1. How well does John handle the killing? Like- does the blood make him gag and so guilty, or does he feed off the thrill of hunting down and killing someone because of his adventurous spirit??

2. Does he have fellow hitman friends or is he a lone hitman who only engages with the boss and does business and then thats it?

3. What weapon does he use? I mean- i think usually a hitman uses a gun- but do u have other ideas regarding his weapon?

These are such good questions I’m sobbing!!

1. Oh mannn I think that he becomes pretty desensitized after a while, he’s been doing this so long that it’s super normal for him. I think as a kid he was extremely hemophobic, like,, a faint at the sight of blood type. It wasn’t often that Pop trolls would even see blood, so he never got the chance to work through that before Brozone broke up.

Unfortunately, JD had to learn to get over it pretty quick. Starving to near death will do that to you. Im thinkin that with how much time he spent alone in the Neverglades he found himself struggling to find food and it got to a point where he started eating bugs and other critters pretty earlier into that decade.

As for troll blood? He not fully over it. He may be desensitized, but every once in a while he’ll find himself keeled over a toilet or trash can. Showers are rough cause he’ll start cleaning the blood of so roughly that he’ll scratch himself - which leads to more blood and the cycle continues. But that’s mostly on really bad days.

He can never quite shake that all-encompassing guilt he feels though. No matter how used to it he gets.

2. He’s a loner. Much like og JD, he prefers isolation to social interaction, and I think he’s solidly worse in this universe. When the only positive interaction you have is with a boss that constantly berates and treats you like dirt, I think you find yourself gravitating towards being alone.

3. He mostly sticks to close-combat weapons, ie his machete and spiked glove, but he also has those sticky bombs we see in the movie - except the ones hitman JD has are a lot less,, glittery.

You hadn’t seen Jack since the minute he had stormed out of your place the other night. Another big fight and this was becoming a cycle you were used to by now. It wasn’t healthy but it has become the new normal for you guys. You fought, broke up, got back together a couple of weeks later. Right now you two were close to the two week mark since you had last talked, probably one of the longest times you had been separated.

Tonight you had decided to go out to a club with some of your friends and decided to play a fun game of how many stories could you post on your instagram before Jack showed up. You knew not only would he watch your stories but he would also be watching all of your friends stories trying to figure out what exactly you were doing.

Meanwhile Jack was at home, hanging out on the couch with all the boys as he flicked through your instagram stories. Jealousy flowing through his blood as he watched multiple stories of his girlfriend dancing on some random guy. “Jack, you need to chill.” Dawson warned him but he was already up from the couch, grabbing a jacket and heading out the door. “On my way.” He texted you, the first time he had said a word in two weeks.

It didn't take long for him to show up and you were thoroughly impressed with his timing. A small grin grew on your lips as he approached. “Let’s go.” He nodded to the front door and you shook your head. “Nah, I think I’m not ready to leave yet.” You told him as you turned your back to him. His hand reached out to your arm, stopping you from moving further from him. “I’m not playing games right now, let’s go home.”

You knew how far to press the game and you decided to leave with him. The whole car ride back to your place he was silent and you knew he was angry but in a possessive and jealous way. Once you had gotten upstairs to your place he shut the door behind him. “What were you thinking? Dancing with some random dude?” His eyes flashed with jealousy and you just shrugged. “Thought you didn’t care.”

“Don’t care? You are mine. Just mine. Not his.” Your stomach turned at the sound of his words, how possessive he got over you. “Am I?” You asked and he took a step forward towards you, backing you into the wall. “You’re mine.” He whispered to you and you grabbed a hold of his shirt, pulling him into you so you could kiss him. He returned the kiss immediately, making it known that you were his and only his. “I’m yours.”

Yes, I’ve played and finished some of rainworld (survivor and artificer’s campaign. Still working on spear master rn) and I fricking love scavengers sm-

(he doesn’t have a name yet so I’ll just call him dude, lol-)

so I made this dood. He’s your usual, “not like the rest oc”, my I love himmm. He carries around pearls and a blowgun, plus some motherspider venom sacks. He uses em as blowdarts to paralyze his enemies. He could never actually kill, though. The times he was in peril, someone else probably saved him. Somehow, he has met the echo in chimney canopy, and now lives there for the time being. He searches the land for information and pearls.

lil guy got a highest level karma symbol burnt into his leg bcs he’s almost always at that level. (I also think it’s because that’s the same symbol saint has over its head when it’s levitating, right? There’s a reason behind that, too)

This guy is pretty paranoid, and realllly doesn’t like slug cats. He was really close friends with one before, but on one cycle, it attempted to kill him. He has no idea why, but they disappeared after that.

so the BIG lore part of this is why he looks for pearls. Dude was fascinated by iterators his entire life, and decided to pursue his dreams of helping them. Eventually, he discovered that they were searching for a way to ascend. He dedicated his entire life to his practice, sacrificing his social life and mental health aswell. A slugcat eventually came across him, and was fascinated by his studies. Dude was skeptical at first, but eventually, they became incredibly close friends. The slugcat asked for pearls in exchange for a translation of what the pearls said. The two were friends for countless cycles, and they looked out for each other for a very long time. They also exchanged theories of what might have to be done to solve the big problem.

But eventually, they ran out of pearls to read, and the echoes were incredibly hard to find. After this, the slugcat grew distant from dude. Dude tried speaking to them, but they just pushed him away. And on one, unlucky cycle, the slugcat lashed out on him. Although dude wasn’t the most favored of the scavengers, a group of them stopped the fight and chased off the slugcat. Dude early died, but he recovered.

Now quite weary of slugcats, he avoids speaking to anybody, and keeps to himself. He lives in a small troop of 5 scavengers.

the painting ended up being better than i expected as my art teacher told me to try a different technique, so i did. and i like it. for 3 days work (a bit rushed at the end bc today was my last day) i’d say it’s pretty good :) 🤭

Also dude 2 weeks has FLOWN! A month ago.. whoa. it was my last full day in LA (27th) and my mom & I packed the cars and left the next day (28th). how much has changed!

BLACK DRAGONS CHRISTMAS MURDER ARC

i think ive talked abt this b4 but it just has so much stuff i like in it. its my favorite in terms of storytelling i'm not deep i like easily recognizable gimmicks for babies idc. theres a bunch of reasons i like it so:

the kisaki-hanma-chifuyu-takemichi teamup i love their begrudging cooperation and their hostility...i miss them every day... when will C4U/KillemAll/The Hanmas come back from the war... i see them in every group of 4... the wiggles, teletubbies, tmnt... it was a team born to die but what a beautiful birth...

i think the tenuous dynamics between the gangs at the time was fun the suspense was good. baji just died, kisaki and hanma still in toman, black dragons about to go warring with everyone, no one likes each other it was a great spawning ground for drama

yuzuha was one of my favorite main characters of the arc... no one else understands this... her sigma philosphy of killing taiju. i talked about this more in an older ask but in summary: i like the “inescapable violence” theme in the christmas arc. yuzuha kills taiju to protect hakkai, hakkai takes the blame to protect yuzuha and becomes BD leader to end up just as corrupt as taiju, cycle of doom. neither yuzuha and hakkai had any bad intention they had the same ‘desire to protect, to do good’ that got pushed to the point of doing bad things. even taiju seems to have his version of good will but theres just something up with that guy dawg.

i really wish they’d say smth abt yuzuha in the future of the manga bcz what is she even doing while her little brothers in the middle of the chaos but also the plot has expanded so much by now that unfortunately she probably won’t make another major appearance -_-

on the other side, taiju was my favorite antagonist, i never draw him but he has one of my favorite designs in the series even though every panel of his jumpscares you. takemichi saw him once and immediately started getting night terrors

going off on a tangent though, i'm... iffy about the 'redemption'. i like taiju but this is on the level of him being an imaginary dude with a big role in a story. the point of the story is that you dont like him, hes still a huge douchewagon... i don’t think the main cast (including hakkai) would still be cool with him even though its been 2 years it’s not something that just ‘gets better with time’. taiju didn’t even really say he was gonna be a better person (im pretty sure he said smth the opposite lmfao but i don;t remember well). in the timeskip, it could be interpreted that he did make an effort to improve given how seriously he took grieving hakkais death, but thats 10+ years after the affair, and even then it’s only an implication! that sketch of taiju with mana and luna never sat right with me why does mitsuya trust him sm all of a sudden...in my opinion they really didnt need him to return?? there are better candidates to nearly castrate sanzu for threatening takemichi, fight the living legends, etc. (what happened to the rest of toman, or just ask anyone here they’ll nominate their little boyfriend ran haitani or smth) i could talk about this a lot but TLDR i think it’d be fine if he just went away lol you dont need to have them make up it doesnt make sense

honorable mention! tenjiku arc was fun i liked getting to see the stories of the side cast (esp kawata brothers, mucho, emma)

what drinks the gang like and how they act

darry: he's basic bro, but when he does he'll drink beer??? but his go to is whiskey. he has a high enough alcohol tolerance but again, barely drinks. he's also a wine mom

he's a quiet drunk and tends to stick to those who he knows, however, he does get pretty affectionate and ends up ranting ab how much he loves the gang

soda: again a beer dude, he likes to experiment with drinks which ends up 9/10 times, with him bent over the toilet at ungodly times in the morning. medium alcohol tolerance. loves doing shots but only if they have vibrant colours

happy and loud drunk. this is HIS time to SHINE. at some point during the night he will end up dancing or singing, even if there's no music

pony: his go to is pepsi and vodka, which is really on brand for him. he is not against beer but that's not his go to. HE DOWNS SHOTS LIKE NO TOMORROW. its acc really weird bc when drinking vodka or downing shots?? bro could go for hours but u bring any other alcohol to the table? game over

he's every fucking type of drunk. like mf, will cycle through every type of drunk in one night. has absolutely horrible hangovers. looks like he's dying when it happens. he's so fucking funny tho

dally: absolutely no doubt, a vodka, tequila n liquor dude. will drink for hours and will only be slightly tipsy. does shots and will only wince when no one's looking. literally give him any drink and he'll be ok. ends up smoking with pony by the end of the night (but he's just holding up pony while they pass a cig back and forth)

angry and reckless drunk lmao. also very sloppy and ends up being the star of many shaky videos

steve: oh boy, this mf LOVES beer but ADORES absinthe, rum and whiskey. definitely high alcohol tolerance, manages to drink for hours. however, whenever he drinks, he blushes HEAVILY.

is pretty chill drunk but some nights he sees violence and chaos as the only option.

johnny: he's definitely a fan of sake n sambuca. will occasionally have colourful cocktails with fruits. really likes drinks that have flavour to them. drinks rarely but drinks for fun not to get drunk, if u get what i mean.

hiccups sm when he's drunk and if possible manages to get even quieter, laughs at most things twobit says no matter how stupid.

My overall thoughts on BATDR:

Honestly, Even with some of the flaws to the game- and how some characters were underused, n how they fucked over Sammy- I really did love the game. Story wise I thought it was? Not bad! I actually, really liked it d:] Biting and Attacking Wilson- I was super surprised when Nathan- wasn’t ‘bad’- Was absolutely expecting him to be cruel, and wicked- and take control over the ink machine himself. Surprised to learn it was his SON- The Janitor of his own studio who did.

The whole thing w Joey- I also rly Liked. I had a FEELING that Audrey would be related to Joey in the end- Really love the idea of just, Him creating her from the machine and raising her- The bit of Allison coming into his life and making him sort of, change his ways, and give ‘Henry’ his own angel was nice d:] 

SPEAKING OF HENRY. I LOVE HIM. I was so worried what his design would look like- and I love it sm. Sweet old man- I’m giving him a kiss. The bit w him in his cell made me scream- the moment I heard him speak i lost it JKJLG,K.FDSHJG He sounded so defeated and just. Accepting of what the ‘cycle’ became n that being his new reality- it made me so sad. Dude is just TIRED let him REST. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ending like chapter 5 of batim was a lil jumbled, but I did love that Audrey has sort of- taken up the role of control on the story now. Hopefully she’s able to give everyone a happier ending- AND. THE IDEA OF THEM BEING ABLE 2 CROSS INTO OUR WORLD NOW!!!!!!!! A. Means they can finally escape the studio n maybe? try and live- semi ‘normal’ lives w Audrey. 

Overall this game has: made me love n Cherish Bendy even more- fuck Wilson, and the keepers- I’m mauling them for HURTING MY BOY-!

But yea. I rly liked it d:) Excited to see if we get anything else- like a dlc, or something.
