Additionally, your thoughts on Dracula and Adrian from the Netflix adaptation of Castlevania? I find Dracula really tragic, and the ending scene of Season 2 crushed me because I was not expecting Adrian to cry. He’s usually so stoic and calm that I didn’t think he would weep, I expected him to just shrug it off like heroes usually do, but no, when given time to process everything, the first thing he does is break down into tears. Sypha was right in calling him a brooding teen in an adult body.

Ohh man. If you just take a look at my writing blog (or anywhere I post my fanfiction) it’ll become pretty clear pretty quickly how I feel about them XD So far all my Castlevania fics have been about the Tepes Family. Adrian and Drac are my favorite characters in the series!! (Though I do love pretty much all the characters in it.)

YES YES YES!!

They did an incredible job making Drac sympathetic and tragic. I don’t know if you know anything about the games, and granted, they couldn’t put a lot of story stuff in the games, but (at least as far as I’m aware) in most of them it’s like “ya, he was an evil dude who did evil things because he was evil.” So it actually would have been pretty accurate to the source to make him just an unsympathetic, irredeemable villain, but they didn’t and I LOVE them for it. Playing Symphony of the Night (Alucards game) after watching the series l was almost longing for that Drac I know and love from the series, (though it’s fun to see evil Drac too).

As I’ve said, I adore redeemable villains, and they did an amazing job with him, to the point where pretty much everyone in the fandom adores him, which is extremely tough to accomplish—even if you write a redeemable villain well, often large parts of the fandom don’t see it and hate the character. I knew that the point was that they were going to defeat Drac but I have to say, especially since I originally knew nothing of the games, I was hoping they’d save him by the end.

I think the fact that he liked and was kind to Hector and Isaac was evidence that he wasn’t too far gone. I mean, the only two people he genuinely trusted and liked in his court were human…that’s so interesting, I wish it was at least talked about, either in the show or in the fandom. I think he actually liked humans, partially or especially because of Lisa, he just...was so angry, and needed someone to blame. He probably ultimately blamed himself for not being there to save her, and it was just easier to blame the humans he once hated/didn’t understand, even if in reality he didn’t hate them as much as he thought he did...

Doing more thinking and research into the show for my “If These Walls Could Talk” fic I recognize now that symbolically it made sense even within the show that he died when Lisa died (which I can explain more about if you want but id probably end up going off on a long tangent so I’ll save it)...but I still thought practically, in the show, he could have still been redeemed.

Omg I LOVED that. The longer I take to sit with it, the more I realize just how much I loved that they put him crying instead of shaking it off.

It’s very interesting that Drac and Alucard are more openly emotional characters. I might be totally wrong, but as far as I remember, they (...and Lisa when she dies, and probably Isaac in a flashback), are the only main characters we see openly cry. It’s a pretty bold move to make any of your characters emotional like that, but especially your villain, and your bold handsome hero. It’s sooo easy to get emotional characters and emotions wrong…or just offputting to some people...but more on that later.

I think Adrian and Drac are both rather sentimental, in an odd way. Much of Drac’s motivations in the show and even in the games (the times his motivations are explained) had to do with his wives (yes he was married before Lisa in the games...unless Lament of Innocence was retconned...) which is interesting. So many of his decisions are based on emotion. He lets Lisa in just because he likes her, he goes to war with the world because of Lisa, he sits in his study mourning her loss, he let’s Alucard kill him… I also notice very often he digs his nails into his palms until they bleed, presumably because if he didn’t he’d hurt someone else (in the scene where he hurts Alucard, he does this). His sentimentality doesn’t diminish is power as a villain, which is SO difficult to accomplish.

 I am emotional myself so I absolutely love to see emotional characters, but for most people, seeing even a normal character be emotional diminishes them in their eyes, or makes them whiny, so making your villain even a little emotional, and having that not take away from the audiences perception of their power as a villain is sooooooo hard to do, and I applaud them for making a so well-beloved, and still villainous and intimidating, but also emotional (at times) villain.

For Alucard. I don’t see any problem with him being emotional, but it makes even more sense if he’s a teen in an adult’s body—which was indeed portrayed quite well.

Yes that was interesting when he cried when drawing his parents!! I wasn’t expecting that when I saw him drawing them. I was enjoying and intrigued by his story so much, then when he started crying I was caught off guard—but in a good way. It really made me feel for him, and understand that he was still grieving his mother, and that knew the gravity of what he was currently doing.

I think it’s kind of important to show that kind of thing in a situation like this. It’s easy to think Alucard hates his dad, and they need to show the emotion of the situation to make it clear “no he doesn’t hate his dad, this actually breaks his heart, he just knows he has to do this.”

I loved when he was telling Trevor and Sypha about how much the world would lose by killing Dracula. It’s really interesting that he hides his emotion with them, and that Trevor and Sypha are so stoic. The son of Dracula isn’t the guy you expect to be the only hero who cries.

In “For Love” when Trevor’s like “Don’t get weepy about it” I was sitting there, sobbing, like “No, please get weepy about it! Let the boy cry for goodness sake!! Give me some emotion!!” But I too was not expecting him to cry like he did, and in grieving the death of his parents...

I knew the crying scene was coming because I’d seen pictures of it on here and pinterest, but I had no context for it. In the end it wasn’t just the weeping itself that made the scene so impactful, it was everything surrounding it. I didn’t know it would happen when he was completely alone (and would be for the foreseeable future), and in grieving his parents, or about the ghosts/flashbacks before it (cementing his grief), or that it was literally the last scene of the season, or that there would be no music for both the scene and the credits thereafter.

And that was what really got me.

Because, firstly, we never got to see any flashbacks to his childhood, and that was what I was begging for the entire series (and hence why its what I write about). To finally get it, and it not to just be something the audience gets to see, but something Alucard himself is seeing... a happy memory he’s seeing when he knows that is completely gone, he cannot hope to have it again, and for him to now be in his father’s place…that’s heartbreaking. Like just having your character cry—let alone those kinds of full-on sobs—is painful enough, showing a son grieving his parents is a particularly heart wrenching kind of sadness, but showing that he is haunted by memories of those parents he lost—not only lost but one of which he killed, and, if SOTN is canon for the show, the other of which he could have saved—of a happy childhood, and he is alone with these memories for the foreseeable future...that is truly heart wrenching.

Also the scene with Trevor and Sypha in the wagon earlier in the episode was super sweet, they could have easily put the Adrian crying scene earlier, and had the Trevor and Sypha scene be the last scene of the season (and Trevor’s game actually does end with them looking into the sunset, so ending with the last scene of “For Love” would be accurate as well), and left it on a positive note, and the audience would have been left with a completeness. But they made a conscious choice put his crying scene last, and it was so powerful, because it made you remember that at the end of the day, he isn’t just our bold handsome hero, he was a son who lost both his parents, and that, to him, this isn’t really a triumph, but a loss. It also kinda confirmed that Drac wasn’t an "evil guy, end of story". That there was reason to grieve him, and to show his son grieving, and to leave it there because of it. It was a personal gravity too

In the end, it was the lack of music in the scene, and even more so during the credits, so theres only his tears, and all you are left with in the end is this amplified emptiness that really did me in. I think I literally sat there, tear tracks on my face, my mouth open when I hit the credits.

Playing Symphony of the Night after watching the show is really interesting in exploring his character. I knew there was very little story, so I wasn’t expecting much from the story, but I actually found that I was beyond excited whenever there actually was some story, and the few lines they did say are stuck with me.

Maria comments early on that Alucard’s not very good at talking. At first I just chalked it up to...weird translations or whatever. But the more I played the game and the more I thought about him in the show...I think she’s right. He’s not very good at talking, yet if and when he does talk he’s quite eloquent, and precise with his words. (This actually makes him a somewhat difficult character to write). I wonder if perhaps this has some connection to his emotionalness. He’s very careful with what he says, and this may spread to what he does—such as being careful when he shows emotion. I’m curious why he’s like this. It could just be his nature, but I wonder if as a kid he was ever hated because he was a vampire—maybe people made fun of him, and he cried, and they made more fun of him because of it—and he learned both to hide his emotions, and that he had to be very deliberate and show people he didn’t mean any ill will with his words. (And he looks older than he is so people might call him immature for acting his mental age). All very speculative, of course. But it’d be fun to write about!

Also, another thing from SOTN that is related to this topic, there was a fight that really struck me (enough I actually wrote a fic about it (inverted recurrence)). SOTN takes plays 300 years after the events of The Netflix Series (aka Dracula’s Curse). Most of the bosses don’t seem to have a lot of meaning story-wise, they’re just there for you to fight. The other day I (Alucard) walked into a boss room...and there were Trevor, Sypha, and Grant (who was omitted from the Netflix series). They were fake versions of them, of course. And there’s no dialogue in the fight so maybe I’m just speculating, but what struck me was that the fact that Dracula could use them against him probably means he still cares about them, even after 300 years. It probably also means that they’re some of the only friends he’s ever had. Granted, he was asleep for a good chunk of those 300 years, still. It goes back to that sentimental-ness I was talking about earlier.

I few years ago I watched the Gravity Falls commentaries, and from them I got a lot of the writing advice I still think about and use today. Alex Hirsch said something on this subject which I really liked which is “Hold your tears.” When a character cries they’ve broken, that’s as far as they can go. So if you make a character cry when the audience themselves doesn’t feel the weight of the scene, or it doesn’t feel like the character has broken yet, it can feel like too...much/cheesy, and distance the audience. especially with cartoons where the way it’s drawn can actually affect your sympathy for the character (it can look weird or accentuated).

They did such an awesome job with this by literally holding his tears until the very end. I don’t know how other, non-emotional people felt about it, but Ive don’t know if I’ve ever seen tears used so well in a show, pack such a punch. To have it not just be a part of the scene but literally the focus, and at the end...it was powerful.

Secretly, it was because he thought you were super cute and he couldn’t bring himself to doom you to life in jail

You also wouldn’t admit it, but he was quite handsome minus the ponytail

Traveling With The Gaang:

You had accompanied Aang as well as Katara and Sokka, partly to get better at water bending and partly to see Zuko again

Everytime he caught you guys, you always ended up battling each other and you flirted heavily with each other when you did

At first, it shocked him and allowed you to beat him. After that he thought that is was only a strategy to beat him, so he decided two could play that game

Katara and Sokka don’t particularly endorse it, but Aang is FULLY shipping it. He insists that Zuko isn’t that bad after being saved by him.

When you find him in Ba Sing Se hiding as a refugee, you decide to surprise him and you sit down to order tea

You tell him that he looks much cuter without the ponytail when he asks for your order

His face when he recognized you was so priceless that you busted out laughing

You force him to have tea with you as payment for not telling Katara he’s here with Uncle Iroh

It’s actually nice??? And he tells you his life story? And you actually start really crushing on him?

After you leave, he’s kind of shocked that he enjoyed himself and his Uncle teases him for his crush on you that he denies heavily

And then when he joins Azula, you feel a small part of your heart get crushed. you really thought he was changing

The gaang comfort you as best they can, but they’re not very good at it since they all hate him (rightly so) for almost killing Aang

Redemption Arc Time Baby:

His “Hello, Zuko here” absolutely melts your heart and you can’t help but feel bad for how awkward he is

It’s also super cute and you love his new hair like omg

You insist that he leave because you can’t trust him and watch sadly as he leaves

Secretly, you wish they had allowed him to stay

After he saves you all from the Sparky Sparky Boom Man, you’re elated that he’s allowed to stayed

You watch Aang and him train in all your spare time when you’re not training with Katara

Aang and Zuko will absolutely have a conversation like the following

“Y/N is a really good fighter. It was super smart of her to come up with that flirting technique” “Sorry what?” “You know her flirting method to distract me so she could win. it totally caught me off guard at first” “.....dude you’re so dumb” “???” “she was actually flirting with you” “.......ur kidding”

Zuko proceeds to become really awkward around you after that because he doesn’t know how to act around you anymore now that he knows you share his feelings

You notice this but figure it’s because the flirting makes him uncomfortable so you stop. i mean how would the prince of the fire nation ever like a water tribe girl anyways

He follows you to watch you train one day and totally gets caught

He ends up semi admitting his feelings for you but then runs off and avoids you because he doesn’t think you like him anymore (i mean you did stop flirting)

You only get to talk to him during the ember island play after he gets really down about his portrayal in it

You finally come clean about your feelings and how proud you are of him for following his heart and how proud his uncle will be

He pulls you into a hug that you immediately return and things feel alright

And then they get 10x better when you kiss him

You two begin dating and you stay by his side even during his battle with azula

When zuko takes the lighting to save katara, you insist on staying by his side

You try your best to heal him but katara has always been better at that, so it doesn’t do much

He tells you that in case he doesn’t make it, he loves you so much and you profess your love for him as well

Thank the spirits, he makes it out ok and you watch proudly from the crowd when he’s crowned Fire Lord

You guys date for a few more years before he realizes he wants to spend the rest of his life with you

Popping the Question:

He wants everything to be perfect for you because you deserve only the best

He tells the Gaang first and they wholeheartedly support him in his decision

They help him start planning everything and even help him sneak back to the South Pole to ask your father for his permission

Bato (because why does NO fanfiction have him as the father?? like what.) is hesitant at first because he doesn’t know about having his precious daughter officially becoming part of the fire nation royal family

But once he hears Zuko talk about you, he can see very clearly that he loves you more than life itself and knows that you’ll be safe and happy by his side

He gives his blessing and the Gaang immediately informs him of the wedding plan

When Zuko gets back to the Fire Nation, he has a beautiful betrothal necklace carved for you with both fire nation and water tribe symbols on them

He brings you out to the pond by the turtle ducks because it’s your favorite place in the whole palace and finally pops the question

He goes into a long rambling speech about how much he loves you and how he wouldn’t want anybody else by his side and you obviously say yes

The wedding is held in the Southern Water Tribe where you guys first met and people from all four nations come to see it

It’s absolutely beautiful and everything you could have ever hoped for

Starting A Family:

Zuko gets really nervous when he finds our you’re pregnant

He’s scared that he’ll turn into his father and that’s something you immediately reassure him will never happen

When your daughter is finally born, he has to hold back tears because he’s so happy

She looks just like you

The sages look to see if she has the spark and much to the council’s delight, she has it

She’s going to be a Fire Bender

You proceed to have two more kids, first a boy and then another girl. The boy is a waterbender like you and the younger daughter is also a firebender

Zuko and you have never been happier

-Ok, the chapter starting off with April’s day post ghost intervention? Yessh, talk about a rough… I did feel super bad for her when she talked about the bad events that happened throughout her day. Been there, done that girlfriend.

-Oh boy… The part where she accidentally left her homework and laptop at Donnie’s lab? Worst. Nightmare. Ever.

-Although, I did wonder why the heck Kirby sent angry text and missed calls when he knew she was staying at the lair. But then I remembered that since he’s been super antsy and anxious lately, so I guess it makes sense. 

-April worrying about Donnie from the night before: UGH protective April is my spirit animal right now!

-Casey’s entrance with all them bruises: can you say ‘typical teenage hockey boy’? 

-Casey bringing in alcohol to school… and then agrees to go to the library with April… Boi… I honest to goodness don’t know what to think anymore XD

-“’And then express-date. With ‘Moose’.” He wiggled the backpack again, the liquid contents sloshing quietly. April crossed her arms, and said squarely, ‘No Moose’.” – HAHAAAA yes! OMG I love how she keeps that lovable train wreck in line!

-That part where a piece of eraser got shot into her mouth made me shudder. Literally. That’s so gross.

-Confession.. Since reading this chapter, I actually used Casey’s “What’s your beef” comment… I learned my lesson afterwards. Never using that kind of comment in the heat of a discussion ever again.

-Damn Casey! That comment about April having to chose between normal life vs. kunoichi/psychic life? Low blow bro.

-Actually, I want to elaborate on that last point. So about April choosing between two totally different lives. Who the heck says she has to choose? Can’t she do what she said to Karai in chapter 2 and write out the chapters of her life on her own? Granted, she is only 17 and isn’t technically a legal, autonomous, adult in American laws yet, but still! Why force it? And for Casey to give her an ultimatum like that? Dude, if it was the other way around, I’m sure Casey would feel the same way that April’s feeling at the moment. Not cool. Though he is hurting, that was super uncalled for.

-OOOooooo…. That moment between April and Master Splinter nearly brought me to tears. I am super close to both of my parents and to see this side of Splinter was so sweet and touching. I love how, out of the very few adults present in her life, Splinter seems to be the only constant in her life. He may not be perfect and she does have her dad whom she loves, but I adore how Master Splinter tries to show her that he’ll be her sounding board when she’s ready. And if there’s one thing that April definitely needs in her life at this moment, it’s that.

-“You are Hamato. Whatever happens, know you can always count on your family’ - Oh my heaaaaaaaart!! SO! MANY! FEELS!

-“Michael, put that down!” – Pfft lol love that easter egg you guys threw in there!

-Ouch. Poor April. Getting dropping a showerhead and getting sprayed is no laughing matter. I’m a klutz by nature so I know the feeling.

-Oooooh April finding out about her laptop and then Donnie trying to make her feel better? Cuuuuuuuute!

-April hugging Donnie because of her gilt… I might as well just stop reading/reviewing just so I could read this section over and over again ‘cuz it makes me so happy. So sweet!

-OHMAGAWD then her smooshing her nose against his plastron bit nearly put me in a fangirl coma!

-I love how you guys made Mikey go from jokester bro to ‘no one messes with my unbiological sister’ to ‘lemme feed you’ mode in seconds. It just fits him no matter what TV series or fanfiction story he may be in.

-Sassy Donnie correcting April gives me life. Just saying. 

-“It is too much. I mean, two years ago I was just April, just your regular high-school nobody, and all of a sudden I’m this… Kraang McGuffin with superpowers who’s also a ninja wannabe. And I don’t know which version of me I like least, to be honest.” Ok… Let me stop there for a sec. First off, BRA-VO! That part right there, that’s me every freaking day. No joke, the first time I read this part, I swear I had to read it nearly four extra times because I was like, “I feel like I’m reading my own mind being played out on fanfiction… Weird”. Here’s the thing though, this is why I love April in this story. She’s playing multiple parts, working hard, and doing all of this to the point of it being unbearable, almost debilitating. And I get that. What saddens me a bit about this is that when she continues on to loosely explain herself to Donnie, it seems that she feels that she’s alone in the midst of it all. Which isn’t true, and I do hope that she both realizes it and that she’d heed Splinters advice about remembering that she can count on her family. No matter what. Ugh… such good stuff… Ok, back to the rest of the review!

-[Slow yet meaningful clapping] Thank you Donnie! Way to get that girl back to her right mind by telling her she can’t give up. Yes yes yes!!

-GAH I’m a puddle now… The part where Donnie allows her to look in his mind? And her response? The hand squeeze? Her admiring his hands??? My shipper heart is swelling big time. Bias I may be, these two will be the death of me and I’m ok with that TwT

-Lets be real though, Michelangelo secretly shipping Apritello is just stinking adorable. Like, adorable enough that it could melt both cold hearts and icecaps in my humble opinion.

OMG… it was very surreal. (i realized i may over talked, just jump to THE ACTUAL MEETING if you don’t care for the whole experience ahah)

I never done stuff like those and emotionally i was on a roller coaster. That week on Friday i had to take the CD plus the pass in order to meet him. I needed to take just that piece of paper and i was so anxious. It didn’t help that a lady on Twitter bragged of the fact that she bought 4 of em. The night before i couldn’t sleep, i couldn’t eat. 

I felt really dumb at the time. He is at the end just a dude who sings. I don’t know actually this guy. But i was so emotionally invested. So i go and buy my physical CD. My Magellano disk. I finally manage to chill and i get to inspect a bit the place where i thought he was going to do the meeting. It felt really tiny but at the end i was right, that was the room. Then i chill even more and i get home with the cd, eat a bit, and then sleep a bit.

Saturday is ok, i get to chat with other fans who also got to meet him and discuss those kinda experiences.

Then Sunday comes and ohhhh boy. I was a mess. An emotional mess. While getting ready i was shaking so much. It was hard for me to eat… again… and i didn’t sleep properly again. I get on the bus, then get to the station… and i actually have to wait there. The meeting was at 15:00 and i was in the station already at 11:30… I waited for a friend there, eat something, and then went to the actual place. Jump a bit, i get to the building and i wait in line. The actual meeting was again 2 h in the future and there was already a line.

I was 31st but i belonged still to the first group. Talk a bit with some fans, with the girls of my gabba chat, the friend who came with me is a photographer and meanwhile i was stuck there he was asking for the authorization to make the photos. Then they take us and they made another line with the first group, but inside that room i visited 2 days prior. With us 50 people in it the room seemed even smaller. I don’t have many photos until this point since my phone was kinda crappy, and in the room the light was… meh. 

But anyway, while waiting in the line they put his music in shuffle and me and a girl next to me start to sing, then we also chat and i discovered the is the first fanfiction writer who did something for Gabba. She asks me if i’m a boy of a girl (xD) and then we just continue singing and waiting…

THE PRE- MEETING

…and then after other 30-40 minutes he walks in. All grinning and smiling like he always does. He makes the technician lower the volumes of the songs and starts talking. He jokes (like always) “presents himself” (with people saying “we knoowwww”) then he thanks everybody of being there, supporting him, giving him “this gift” of us giving him this year of his dreams, believing on his music and his songs. Then he invites us to his live tour and proceeds to forget the date in Rome xD fans correcting him. All of this with his big smile. 

Then he moves to a little table to say hi to the first fans, making photos, signing the cd, giving hugs, (some even kisses, on the cheek but still), he being a general goofball and funny guy. I’m in line and i watch him, i was shocked like, he always smile but never in a fake way. 

Until that point i was actually very chill (maybe because ahead of me i had this person which was a bubble of anxiety), then i get my turn. I say my name to a guy, then to Dorina (Gabba’s manager or assistant or something, you saw her as his translator). 

Gabba says bye to the last person and then the assistants mention me to come up there(there was a little padio).

THE ACTUAL MEETING

So… Guys… he looked at me. Right in my eyes. 

I was smiling sooooo much.He was smiling sooooo much. 

I really was struggling keeping his gaze. He was so beautiful, and charming, and smiling and… then i realized he said ciao to me… and 

i didn’t know what to say. “Do i say ciao back… but… i don’t really know… do i say… what do i sayyyyy??” i literally forgot my own language. 

i kinda opened my mouth to say something but… then he got it and he made a joke out of it. I laughed too. Something about me being too tense and that i didn’t have to be soo tense, it was “just” him. The assistants passed him my cd and then started writing on it. With his gaze not on me, i had the breath to think of my prepared speech and start to recover my awful presentation. 

First though i gave a look to his hands… i mean… look at them…

So yeah, i told him a few things. I loved the song, sad that i just knew about him in February, and he kept saying, “No but thank youuu”.So i said, “no but i say this because there are actual people that say that i’m finally more relaxed, more open and that it’s two months that i smile non stop”.

He smiled and laughed some more, him totally being a cinnamon roll about it made me forget what he said about this. But he was proud of it. Then i was looking at him and he was like “Photo!!!” So yeah, i look to the guy i gave my phone to and BAM. Photo done.

And i couldn’t care less about the photos. I had my usual “allampanata” face and he was so clooooose to me in his entire glory. With the manga eyes!!! He looked at me with those eyessss!!! :3

And i don’t know if you noticed this but… he leans into you. He drops his head of yours if he can. He hugs you tight.

…tight.

I felt the fingertips on my arm for a whole day.

You guys are making me emotional thinking about it… 

He doesn’t seem so tall in the pic. I’m 155, he’s 176… but it’s because he leeeeans in. While he talks with someone smaller he drops his head lower… He is soooo cuteee.

Also about the smell… well. I forgot. I wasn’t looking for it, and yeah so i don’t know. Talking with other girls even them didn’t got anything. But there is a plus. He didn’t smelled of smoke at all. That, i would’ve noticed for sure…

After the pic he gave me the cd and said hi… while i… i hope i said hi. I actually have a complete black out after. Just out the meeting room some workers there chatted with me… How was it? What did you tell him? Since when you are a fan? and so on.

Then for 30 minutes i was dead on a chair not too far from the place. Just trying to recall everything.

some Star Wars Rebels random stuff I was thinking about

But like what if in Star Wars rebels hera gets pregnant? Apparently they confirmed that Kanan and her are a thing and they’re my otp #spaceparents for life but like what if ??? How cool would that be ??? Like it never even occurred to me as a possibility until I just read a little tumblr post mentioning him making hera ice cream she had cravings for and I’m just like ???!!! But like DUDE THE CHARACTER GROWTH THAT COULD COME OUT OF IT?! First of all we’d have a little baby that was half human and half twilek which is already epic for interracial representation, but all the baby would be half Jedi and half badass pilot, anyways also Ezra could be like lowkey jealous at first because he was like kanans kid and main focus but now that this baby’s here he’s been second since the kid needs all the attention and well tbh Ezra is growing up but slowly he’d get over it and grow and caring for the child would help him mature but he and kanan would also struggle with the whole Jedi attachment thing to the baby and talk about it together and vent about being wary about how close they are growing to the baby and they’d both be there for each other to ensure they stay on the path of the light and rarely falter and maybe they could bring dark Ezra back one or two times before that because he could be really protective of the baby after he grows to love it but then dark Ezra is soothed by kanan as usual and everything gets a-okay and oMG CAN YOU JUST imagine zeb’s droopy kitty ears when hera says she has to do something with the baby instead of whatever zeb wanted to do with her like BRUH so he’d start spending more time with chopper and him and chopper could be all anti baby and jealous but there could be one episode where they have to stay and babysit it and they learn to like the kid and even come up with a cute nickname and inside joke or something uGH I CAN SEE IT ALL NOW And then we have Hera over here when she’s pregnant still being the best pilot ever and there could be funny moments where kanan is like him you want me to drive and she’s all I’m pregnant not dying I can handle myself and then she’d do some impossibly maneuver and kanan would just sit back like woah that woman is incredible ugh and CAN I JUST FORMALLY ASK THE PEOPLE AT SWR TO MAKE EZRA GO LOOKING FOR KANAN ONE NIGHT AND FIND HIM CUDDLED UP TO HERA SLEEPING IN HER ROOM AND THE BEST PART WOULD BE EZRA NOT EVEN TRYING TO LOOK FOR KANAN IN HIS ROOM AND GOING STRAIGHT TO HERAS BECAUSE HE KNOWWWWS AND WHEN HE SEES THEM SLEEPING HE IS TOTALLY CHILL AND JUST GOES ABOUT WHAT HE WAS THWRE TO DO OR SAY LIKE PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR ME Sabine though, I don’t know how she’d be with the baby? Like there are so many paths they could go with her to build her character in ways that represent current situations of women or feelings women can get about babies either positive or negative. She could either start looking at her life and her goals more and wondering where she stood on the whole family thing and come to realize that a baby really isn’t something she’d personally want for herself at any point and this could be the show expressing to women that it is okay not to want kids and doesn’t make you any less of a woman or some mean witch child-hater as so many other people can make them out to be. Or she could just be all baby? What is baby? What do I do with this human? And maybe she could be in that babysitting episode with zeb and chopper but instead of hating the baby she’s genuinely curious and making an effort to help her spacemom with the child care

Yeah that’s about it for now, just some random, poorly punctuated things I had to fangirl over and get off my chest. If you actually read that all the way through thank you lol you’re a true sport
