Hi @ai-higurashi​! I am your back-up secret santa for @ducktalessecretsanta2020​! (Sorry it took so long!)

One of your prompts was for Black Heron x Agent 22, which made me super happy because I had so much fun drawing them for the first secret santa gift I did this season, and I got to keep with that theater-caper theme. From above the stage to before the opera house...

^ The above dialogue is what I imagined would be said after Beakley pulls Heron away from almost setting whatever on fire and causing general mayhem (and so she can hold her close). They’re on a date to an opera gala - 22 knew that Heron was going to try something, but the only way to get her to say yes to a date so that she could keep an eye on her was to ask her to that event itself. XD (Also, this is an excuse to sneak in my headcanon that DT17 Beakley is as much an opera buff as I am her DT87 counterpart, and has posed as an undercover opera singer for missions before.)

Also, since Heron doesn’t have canon formal attire, I had to come up with something for her, so I took inspiration from Sylvia Trench, the first James Bond girl, with her outfit in Dr. No. ;)

The background is the center part of the facade of the Metropolitan Opera House in NYC! It opened in the ‘60s, so Beakley and Heron would’ve been there when it was pretty new! ;P

Happy belated holidays @wiz-witch ! I’m your backup gifter for the @ducktalessecretsanta2020 ! And when I saw that one of your favorite things was Huey and Fenton’s friendship, I was so glad I signed up to be a backup gifter.

I thought it would be nice to have Huey offer to patch Fenton up after an intense fight as Gizmoduck (with the help of the JWG of course). Thought I’d sprinkle in some of that angst that I hear you enjoy. Maybe not the angstiest, but I hope you like it. It gave me a great excuse to draw some of my favorite Ducktales characters, so thanks for that!

Decided to draw, based on their suggestions, Scrooge and Webby bundled up in blankets, next to a fire place, just having a cozy holiday night. I had not drawn such a detailed background or used color pencils in a while so it was a lot of fun to get to do it again. Hope you like it :)

Here’s my @ducktalessecretsanta2020 gift for @a-small-collection-of-nonsense​! (Sorry it’s a bit late!) They wanted Beakley in an Agent 22 spy story, which was super fun to do, and it let me take some liberties with the setting, so I went with the fly space above a stage! (My inner former techie self had a ball with this 😄)

Heron is probably after some rich patron of the arts, or after a performer to hold them for ransom, or perhaps a special prop that’s really a powerful artifact. Agent 22, of course, is out to stop her.
