So, you ever think King Andrias from Amphibia is pretty simillar to Lunaris from Ducktales seeing how they're both hidden twist villains planning to destroy other places and manipulated a missing character not seen til season 2 (Della for Lunaris and Marcy for Andrias)? Do you think King Andrias was done better writing wise than Lunaris and why?
LUNARIS BARELY STOOD UP BEFORE ANDRIAS RAN IN SWORDS BLAZING.
Lunaris could only HOPE to be the type of villain that Andrias is.
The best thing about Andrias as a twist villain is that.... he’s not really a twist. From the first episode we met Andrias, even if it was just his voice, he says, “The pieces are starting to fall into place... It’s time... for the game to begin.”
From this FIRST LINE ALONE you just KNOW this dude is up to something and once we officially meet him, you’re still suspicious of him because of that introduction line despite his friendly performance.
The first thing we heard from King Andrias was that ominous line for a reason.
From the very beginning you’re meant to be suspicious of him, you’re meant to be questioning him, his intentions.
And this line he said to Marcy?
“Always sad to see someone go isn’t it? I have a proposition for you Marcy and I think you’ll find it very interesting.”
That was the line where, for me and many others, you just knew Andrias was up to something and he was plotting and now? With the context of True Colors? Knowing that Marcy poured her heart out to him about her fear of being lonely and saying goodbye to her friends? It was all deliberate.
He used her. He used her emotions against her. He knew what he was doing. God did he know what he was doing... he used everything she told him and then... he won.
HE FUCKING WON.
The minute that sword went through Marcy’s back, that was Andrias’ victory.
And Anne might’ve gotten home, but the box? It’s still in Amphibia and you can bet Andrias has it and he will be using it.
Andrias is an actual THREAT. He got Marcy to trust him and then, when she least expected it, he betrayed her and killed her. His action of killing Marcy is going to have an emotional impact on the rest of the characters.
There’s an old saying that if you wanna show how strong and powerful your villain is;
Show. Them. Winning.
When the villain gets what they want? It FORCES the heroes to work harder and smarter than them. They need to break out of their status quo and challenge the characters and having them lose is an amazing way to do that.
That’s why Infinity War’s ending is so powerful, because Thanos won.
Having the villain be at their highest and prime makes it all more sweet when the heroes come in and are ready to take the bad guy down. It feels earned and when the heroes win, it’s worth it because it was a challenge they had to overcome.
Andrias’ is so successful as a villain because he had a connection to the main characters, mostly Marcy, but his connection to Marcy affected the actions made by her and the other characters.
Lunaris though? He was never really a threat. He felt more like a joke villain than anything. His connection to the other characters? Practically nonexistent. And his random vendetta against Scrooge came out of nowhere and only existed because Scrooge has main character syndrome and god forbid DuckTales not have Scrooge be the center of conflict for once. Sure he had all this planning out and was like 5 steps ahead but it doesn’t matter because you knew Lunaris wasn’t gonna win. You know he’s losing and that kinda sucks because Lunaris winning was the exact thing he needed to be prove he was worthy of the title villain. That and his motivation being better, another thing Andrias has done better than him.
DuckTales was very much afraid to break its status quo, you always knew the McDuck Family was coming out the victors at the end of the episode. There wasn’t really any stakes during the finales (except Shadow War and some of Last Adventure) in retrospect because you can see how it’ll end from a mile away.
The McDucks struggle during the middle of the episode but they become the victors at the end anyway because of the fucking family is the greatest ex-machina of all nonsense that I never wanna hear again in my life like omg we get it family can be amazing but pls stop talking about it and show it.
Amphibia does everything DuckTales did but with much improvement and more subtlety.
Amphibia isn’t scared of raising stakes and boy, does it work.
#this isn’t me trashing DuckTales btw#just what I noticed from a writing stand point#dt just missed the mark on a lot of stuff#ducktales#ducktales 2017#amphibia#amphibia true colors

I saw your tags under the Max video and the ask after and I absolutely agree. I sometimes am taken aback how "stable" Max is. idk how to say it but from the outside we can clearly see that the way Jos has been treating him is abusive, but you can't really see it on max? he is more private than most drivers so we can't see that much, but people that work with him all sing his praises and not just because he's fast. he has 2 cats, which means he's wholesome (that's why Alex is the wholesomest) 1/4
The way he is with Kelly and Penelope is actually surprising. How he's taking care of Penelope(the little we can see of it) looks good, fun and helthy. And how he isn't afraid to wear floaties in the pool, or swim in Kelly's arms like the babygirl he is. If I were a guy and my father was Jos, I would be the poster child for toxic masculinity tbh... yet Max isn't. I am a new fan and I've only seen some videos and stories of him being angry/agressive but I don't see it in present Max 2/4
Also the way he put his foot down with DTS and declined being a part of it because he felt like they're creating drama.Wether it's for his benefit alone or because he sees the whole grid mistreated idk.I wish he was more firm and outspoken on other stuff too. I'm not sure if he simply talks about everything he cares for and doesn't talk about anything else or if there are other stuff he's not comfortable speaking out for. I don't think I was ready to talk about a lot of stuff back at his age 3/4
And the way he spoke out about the virtual Le Mans! I don't understand how some people were not siding with him! Not only was he right, he was probably the best known person there and his words can actually change something. And the way he spoke about it reminded me of Mr Darcy lol "I cannot forget the follies and vices of others so soon as I ought, nor their offences against myself... My good opinion once lost is lost forever." 4/4
YES!!!!!! YES EXACTLY. he in every way is expected to be that toxic man whos' controlling and angry and shitty. it's how his haters want to believe is just to make themselves hate him but he's literally just Not that?? he's very grounded, protective, SO loving towards his people. he shares his wealth with his family and friends. he takes care of his people. he loves his team and his friends in the paddock. he's unapologetically himself cause it seems like he's always had to apologize before for who he was, how he was, what he loved. he's someone to admire IMO cause he got out of a shit situation and made the most of it??
there are people who say they like him and always give a "well people who hate him have their reasons" but DO they? lmao or is he just good at getting shit done in his sport without faking niceness??? yknow... like all the greats in every sport ever lmao.
and you dont even need to like him as a racer to see how he is a man but. he's either reduced to [insert whatever buzz word the moral police wanna use here] or he's max, the abused dick-traumized weird man who likes weird kinks and to be humiliated. which....couldn't be farther from who he is clearly even if it tried. and obviously fic vs reality etc etc but I think the excuses people who hate him AND people who pander to those who hate him clearly completely miss the mark of who Max is. the man who loves what he loves unapologetically and takes care of everyone around him and is a good one to love, with all his flaws and past mistakes. cause obvi he has those and has fucked up and I wish he has spoken up about things in a more conscience way. but you can't sit and tell me he hasn't changed.

Back to babyhood (kingdom hearts)
Sora woke with a start as his Micky mouse alarm went off. Looking around wildly and figuring out it wasn't a attack of some sort (he was kinda a dork for the first few minutes he was awake) he reached over and shut the alarm off and then sat there for a second, closing his eyes and building up for a reveal. He'd managed to keep his bed and pants clean for a whole 29 days so far, and if he was dry and clean, this would make it 30 and Rikku had promised to let him back in the master bedroom if he could prove he wasn't a big baby anymore. 'Moment of truth..' Sora thought and pulled the blankets back and then opened his left eye slowly and looked down, then both eyes. a big silly grin broke out over his face, he was all good! his white dino print jammies weren't brown or wet and there was NO stains on the bed. "YES! HAHAHAHA! I AM KING OF THE BIG BOYS!" Sora cheered and jumped up and down on his bed, pumping his fists into the air. "would the king of the big boys like to get dressed and come out for pancakes?" Came his boyfriend/daddies voice and sora stopped jumping and locked eyes with Rikku, then jumped off the bed and ran over. "I did it! no poopie or pee and that means I get to sleep in bed with you tonight!" Sora said, super excited. "Mhmmm..as long as you stay clean during the day..and you know what happens when you get too excited. go get dressed and use the can, I'll go and finish making breakfast for my king." Rikku chuckled and winked, then ruffling Sora's hair he took off. 'hmmff..Of course I can keep my pants clean during the day! that's not even a concern anymore!' Sora thought with a huff. still, it was better to do what Rikku wanted then argue with him, just because he was out of diapers and pull ups didn't mean he couldn't take a trip over rikku's lap. Since he had to work in a little under a hour Sora decided to put on his uniform and save time. It wasn't as fun or colorful as a lot of his other outfits but it wasn't suppose to be. A pale blue shirt with the general store on the corners logo on it, and a pair of black dress pants..it wasn't even like he actually needed the job with all the money him and Rikku had made while saving the world. Rikku though controlled the money as back when Sora had been..well ok, a total big baby in a big boys body, he hadn't exactly been responsible with money. or much of anything. That's not to say that Sora really wanted for much, but Rikku would only dole out the cash in allowances with this month marking the first time he'd trusted sora to hold the money himself. The Job at the store was more about teaching responsibility to Sora as well as give him something to focus on and keep him from slipping back into baby mood. Getting him the job had been touch and go, as Sora was well known enough around town as a big baby no one was really willing to hire him. Rikku had pointed out to the store manger, Malcore, That with all the diapers and other stuff they had bought there over the years Sora deserved a chance.
Rikku smirked at how damn proud Sora looked as he walked out, and then chuckled as the so called big boy started to drool seeing the spread on the table. Don't get Rikku wrong, he was glad that Sora was finally returning to adulthood such as it was (the boy had never been the most mature 18 year old even before the diapers) but the constant dirty diaper smell in the house and having to change a minuim of 4 dirty diapers a day wasn't as fun as one might think. "heh, watch the drool buddy." Rikku said and came over with a dish towel and wiped sora's chin anyways for him. "O-Oh yeah..ehehe sorry..just..yowie wowie! Were you up all night cooking?" Sora asked. on the table there was a stack of pancakes, a dish with bacon, some slices of ham, a dish filled with scrambled eggs and of course two pitchers of Milk and OJ. "No, I just got up a little early and assumed you'd be a big boy and wanted to celebrate." Rikku said and kissed Sora's cheek. "And it's all for me?" Sora asked. "Well, I'd like to have SOME of it,guessing I should make my plate first?" Rikku laughed then added "Just don't go too hog wild, you don't wanna stuff yourself and be on the can all day at work..again." "O-Oh Malcore called you about that huh?" Sora said sheepishly. "Well Roxas complained about having to work the floor alone..Speaking of which, is roxas coming over again today after work?" "IIIII dunno. I'll ask him when i get there." Sora said and took a seat. Rikku let it drop and fixed himself a plate and then tried to look away as Sora wolfed down the food with such gusto you were swear he hadn't eaten for days. He wasn't the biggest fan of Roxas for a few reasons, the first one being that he was trying to encourage Sora to baby out. the second was that he knew for a fact Roxas was getting into the stash of left over diapers at the house, and helping himself. Rikku had been semi sure that Roxas was a little diaper thief back before Sora got out of his huggies, though it was hard to keep track of back then.. but with no new diapers coming in to replace missing ones he'd kept count. Still he was Sora's best friend and as long as he didn't end up making sora land back in diapers just so he didn't have to buy his own, Rikku would let it slide.
Roxas whined as he looked though his underwear drawer, and then under his bed..there was no two ways about it: he was out of diapers again. It just wasn't fair (at least in his twisted little mind) that Sora had to go and screw him over like this.Like, he put up with how toxic and stinky Sora could be, and watched the dumb baby shows with him (never mind Roxas actually liked the shows just as much and wasn't exactly a rosebush when he loaded his diapers) and now Sora had to go and ruin it all by trying to become a stupid big boy and cut him off from his supply of diapers! sure Roxas COULD of gone and brought his own diapers, but he'd seen the smirks and snickers everyone gave when Sora had been getting his and didn't wanna risk that. He did after all have a reputation to keep. So naturally like any clever baby, Roxas decided to do the only thing he could do..which meant turn sora back into a diaper baby so he could go back to stealing diapers from him without worrying about Rikku noticing. To THAT end he made a special lunch just for Sora, and had prepped some video's for his bestie to watch, and he'd have him loading his pants like a CHAMP in no time. Any guilt he might of felt over turning Sora back into a diaper filling baby was taken away by the anger of Sora making him have to go days at a time without a diaper to wear at home..and the belief that Sora would be happier in diapers. Really, more people needed friends like him.
Sora got a text from Roxas partway though his munching and smirked. "Don't worry about packing me a lunch today, Roxas made me one to make up for being a brat when i kicked his butt at chocobo racing on Sunday." Sora giggled. "heh, well at least he admits it..I thought he was gonna smash the controller before I told him to knock it off before I'd have to spank his butt." Rikku chuckled. "Anyways, I should go brush my teeth and start walking for work." Sora said, belching one last time and wiping his mouth with a napkin. "Breakfast was AWESOME, thanks da- Rikku." Sora blushed a little, catching himself at calling his boyfriend daddy, since that was what he did as a big BABY, but it wasn't always easy. Rikku just smiled and tapped his left cheek and tilted his head, and Sora took the hint. walking over he planted a big old smooch on Rikku's cheek then went off to finish getting ready for anther glorious day in retail.
Malcore yawned, he'd had to pull the night shift due to DT going back to collage and was mostly getting though on coffee. In truth if it hadn't of been for the fact that Josh and DT had been forced to cut back on their hours he would of never hired Sora or Roxas. Lord knows what head office would of thought if they had seen what a massive diaper dork Sora had been before, and it wasn't hard to see Roxas was a diaper dork just waiting to happen, if he wasn't just one at home. Still, faced with risking coming into find the two playing in diapers in the baby section or covering all the hours himself, Malcore had made his choice. That didn't mean though as Sora and Roxas came in and went to clock in he didn't give them a once over..Sniffling the air and making sure there was no baby powder or 'other' baby smells, and of course eyeing their butts to see if they were padded. truthfully it wasn't hard to tell on that front, the diapers these two seemed to favor, or at least he'd seen sora wear/Roxas eyeball on the shelf, tended to be super thick diapers that left nothing to the imagination. assured that they weren't padded, Malcore went over what had to get done, and assigned Roxas on cleaning duty (As in sweeping the floors once a hour, and checking on the public bathroom) which, of course got a face from Roxas.. and then assigned Sora to handling all shipping and receiving stuff, in case any shipments came in. His work done, malcore walked out mentally praying that they could keep being big boys, he just didn't have it in him today to come in and have to put up with poopie diaper boys.
The boys handled the first part of the shift fine, they had a mild early morning rush of people stopping off for coffee or snackage on their way into work, not to mention a few kids/teenagers in school stopping off for the same. Of course a lot of these kids had seen Sora back in his diapered baby days and half of them seemed to be there least to pick up something, and more to see if he was back to being a big baby. (this of course made Sora huffy, But as Malcore pointed out, it brought in customers so Sora had better just suck it up buttercup.) with the morning rush over, the boys decide that despite what malcore had said, they would split their duties with each other, and So after best two out of three of rock scissors paper lizard Spock Roxas swept the floor while sora cleaned the bathroom, complaining the whole time. "Dear god, are they even TRYING to get it in the bowl! And they think -I'M- the one who should be in diapers!" came sora's wail from the bathroom, making Roxas snicker. "now now, don't be a sore loser..if you would pick something besides Spock you might of won a round." Roxas called back. "I call hack's!" Sora whined, but finished cleaning and came out. "would you feel better if we took our break early? I got some video's I wanna show you." Roxas said. "HECK YEAH!" Sora said, and despite himself, he wiggled his butt..a hold over from his little guy days.
they didn't go to the break room since well, with two of them on, one of them had to stay upfront anyways, so the boy's plopped down behind the front counter and Roxas took out some of the homemade chocolate chip cookies he'd made, trying to make sure he gave the tainted ones with ex-lax chocolate used for the chips to Sora, while pulling up the special video's he'd prepped for Sora to watch. what Roxas didn't know was that while he had taken the time to prep two batches of the cookies, one which was sure to have a boy fudging his pants and one without, he'd gotten distracted thinking about all the diapers he was gonna steal and had only packed his laxative laced baked goods. there was no way to tell from the taste alone, and as they munched away, Sora watched the let's play video's Roxas had sent hours mixing with subliminal messages that would encourage the return of big baby Sora. "oh man! these guys are SO good at mega-man! I never even KNEW about some of these paths they're taking! Roxas, come see this!" Sora squealed excitedly, bouncing up and down in his seat, cookie crumbs goes down the front of his shirt as ate like a piggy despite his big breakfast, if there was one thing you could count on, no matter HOW full Sora got, he'd always have room for sweets. "I'm good, I already watched it. You watch that and I'll keep a eye on the door." Roxas said, finishing the last of his cookies too. "your the bestest friend ever!" Sora coo'ed, and wiggled like a happy toddler. clearly the messages were going to work already. 'Like sandblasting a soup cracker.' Roxas thought with a smirk. "heh, and don't you forget it."
Sora just couldn't stop smiling and giggling as he watched, and found himself re-watching certain parts of the same video over and over again. it never even dawned on him once that the happy giddy feeling he was experiencing could be traced back to the video, or that his bestest buddy in the whoooole world was setting him up to be a derpy diaper boy. he was kicking his legs and moving his head back and forth, though found himself getting bored with the let's play video's and since Roxas was dealing with a couple of collage students who had came in, he put in some headphones and switched over to YouTube and started to watch some Barney. he was just past the intro of the episode he had brought up when he looked up and noticed the two guys, and Roxas looking at him, and all three were smiling big time. Pausing the video and taking the headphones out, Sora looked back. "uhhh, can i help you?" he asked. "heh, no no, but you have a lovely singing voice." one of the students said and started laughing. "I loved just how into you got." the other said. "I-I wasn't singing!" sora huffed and blushed hotly. "Uh buddy? we know your watching barney, or at least the intro." Roxas said, smirking and shaking his head. "you can go back to it, but indoor voice please." he added. "o-oh.." Sora said in a soft voice, and put the headphones back and and glued his eyes to the screen, though now it was less a desire to watch the show and more just to block out the collage guys.
"heh, so are you like looking after him ot something or does he really work here?" The bigger of the two collage guys asked, sporting a brown crew cut. Just a few inches shorter, but with more of a barrel chest was a blond who was rocking a ponytail. "he's cute either way." the blond chimed in. "Yeah, he works here, but he's just a total dork. he gets paid in diapers." Roxas said, thinking up the lie on the spot. but his calculations, the cookies should be starting to kick in any second now, so he wagged his eyebrows. "in fact, any second now he's likely gonna start going off so we better get you two checked out befo-" he started when a super loud booming fart filled the store. only problem was it hadn't come from Sora, but Roxas who turned crimson. "heh, looks like there's more then one big baby in the store!" Blondie laughed. "Holy hell, did that hurt?" Crew cut asked, though he was holding his nose as a less then pleasure aroma had followed the blast of gas. "I uh..I er.." Roxas stammered, then quickly made his way behind the check out. "I-I think we b-better get you out of here b-before-" he tried to say only for anther back door blast to come out from his butt, a little wetter this time. as if taking it as a challenge, though he was engrossed in his show, Sora leaned to the side and while never taking his eyes off of the screen added to the hurricane of farts that was quickly rendering the store a toxic zone. "uh..I think we'll..get out drinks and snacks somewhere else.." Crew cut said, gagging a little and wiping at his eyes. "Yeahhh clearly the food here is tainted if you guys have been snacking on it." Blondie said, and the two guys left quick.
Sora drifted out of the zone he was in, when the smell finally hit him. he'd of course let out anther two farts before being knocked out of it, and Roxas had added in twice as many and was doing baby steps as he headed for the bathroom. "Hey Roxas, who cut the cheese?" Sora asked, clueless and was answered by a super gross and wet sounding fart from Roxas who froze in place, and had one hand on his tummy, and one on his butt, hunching over. "I guess that answers that." Sora said and slid out of his chair, on his way over to help his bestest buddy. or he was when a powerful cramp hit him and he hunched over, letting out a fart that sounded more like a foghorn then something that should of been possible for a human. "OWIE!" Sora cried out as it wasn't all that pleasant to let out, and Roxas whined and answered with a even worse sounding fart. "oh gawd, S-Sora..I think I'm gonna..gonna..." Roxas whined. "G-Gonna what?" the clueless Sora asked, shuffling slowly and getting up next to Roxas and then leaning on him, ending ANY shot Roxas might of had to get to the bathroom. "I'm gonna crap my pants!" Roxas wailed and then proceed to do so, bawling as the back of his undies puffed out and the back of his jeans showed what was happening. "M-me too!" Sora whimpered, and then bawled too as his bowels cut loose too and his own pants were ruined.
Being Sora's emergency contract and fairly responsible, Rikku always had his cell with him in case he was needed. Hence why even though he was relaxing in the tub, reading a novel he was quick to answer the phone when a call came though from the general store. It was hard to understand what was going on at first, though the wails and the sobbing, and Rikku had been cut off before he could even say hello, but soon enough he got the general idea of what had happened. It took about five minutes, during which time he got dried off and started to get dressed, but Rikku got both of the not so big boys calmed down to just gentle whimpers. "Sora, Buddy, You and Roxas get in the bathroom, I'll be down there as soon as possible with some clean pants..among other things. Ok?" "I..I..I DIDN'T MEAN TOOO! WAHHHHH!" Sora sobbed loudly, and in the back round Rikku could hear that he'd started Roxas up again. and so anther five minutes were used up as Rikku packed a diaper bag, there was only two of sora's diapers left. getting off the phone with the big babies he went out the door and right next door to where Roxas was living, and found the spare key under a flower pot right where Roxas had left it. he could of just just grabbed two pairs of Sora's pants but figured if a leak happened, he'd prefer it happen in Roxas's pants, not Sora's. he noticed a pink notice on the floor that had been put though the mail slot, but ignored it as he went into Roxas's room and while getting a pair of his pants, confirmed his belief that the brat was stealing diapers as he had a few wet ones in a trash can by his bed. "I'll have to put him on time out for that." Rikku said to himself and was heading back out the door when something on the kitchen counter caught his eye. coming into the kitchen he found a wrapper for some chocolate ex-ax, and there were cookies on the counter. recalling how sora had mentioned all they'd had were some cookies Roxas brought from home Rikku put 1 and 1 together. "..Forget a time out, he's getting his buns blistered!" Rikku growled. Storming out Rikku made his way double time to the store, now knowing he was gonna have to for SURE buy more diapers, there was no way those two weren't gonna be pooping their brains out al day.
Thankfully there was more then one potty in the bathroom, and Sora and Roxas were each on one, poopie undies and pants in the trash and holding onto the side of the potties while going again. "Oh gawd how do I still have bones left!?!" Roxas cried out. "I'm pooping lava!" Sora whined and whimpered. of course while Sora was clueless as to way he was pooping up a storm, Roxas knew full well why it was happening, and that this wasn't ending any time soon as he flushed. monkey see monkey do, Sora flushed too though even as they finished, both boys stayed seated, panting and gasping and exhausted. "Roxas..I dun think i want yer cookies anymore." Sora whined. "heh..fair..fair enough.." Roxas said, letting it go that Sora thought he was just a bad baker and not that this had been all by design, at least till he'd eaten them too. the boys sat there, willing their butt holes to close and suffered in silence, mostly. Roxas could hear the soft slurping noise of sora sucking his thumb. 'I hope that wasn't the hand he was wiping with..' Roxas thought and wrinkled his nose.
Rikku made it into the shop and was glad no one was inside, and nothing looked like it had been stolen. There was a awful stench in the air from the boys accidents and Rikku mused that it was likely the smell more then anything else had scared off any potential looters. He knew the place like the back of his hand, Sora had given him a grand tour (with permission from malcore) of the entire store after his first week, eager to show off, and besides that there was only the one bathroom for whole store that was shared by the customers and the staff alike. Making his way to the bathroom and taking shallow breath, Rikku paused to grab a few can's of air freshener. 'I doubt Malcore will mind me using these..better then coming into a store that smells like a diaper pail.' Rikku reasoned mentally, and then used up all of one can and half of the second. with THAT taken care of Rikku made his way into the bathroom and announced his arrival by making use of the second can and putting a arm to his mouth and nose. if it had smelled like a diaper pail out front, in the bathroom it was a dumpster of dirty diapers. "whew, you boys ok in here? you didn't break the potties did you?" he called. From the stall closet to him Roxas's voice started to answer he was ok, but it was drowned out by Sora's voice in the stall closet to the window. "Daddy!" Sora whimpered out, and the door open and the naked from the waist down save for his socks and shoes Sora ran out and glomped Rikku. Rikku smiled and set the can down on the sink, then wrapped one arm around Sora and used the other to pat the boys head. "Daddy I'm sowwy! I don't know why but my bum won't l-listen to me and i just wanna wear my diapies and hug you and and I don't think I'm a big boy anymore and i just wanna be your babbbby!" Sora whimpered and wailed, nuzzling his head into Rikku's chest and getting his shirt damp with tears. "shhh it's ok Sora..it's oook. We're just gonna get you and Roxas dressed, and then we'll finish out your shift, all three of us ok? Then I'll talk with malcore and let him know you'll be quitting." Rikku said and rubbed the big babies back, then tilted his head up and kissed his forehead. Switching his gaze to the stall that roxas was in, Rikku cleared his throat. "are you just gonna hide in there, or you wanna come out too? I can give you a hug if you need one as well." rikku said. he'd been half joking when he made the offer of course, but wasn't shocked when the door opened and Roxas took a spot on the side of Rikku and whimpered and sobbed too.
Getting both boys fully cleaned up, Rikku wasn't shocked when neither one of them protested to the diapers he'd brought (in fact both of them had gotten a little 'exited' while he was powdering them) but then there came a problem that Rikku for all his skills as a daddy hadn't foreseen. the pants barely fit over the diapers, and there was no way to button them or zip them up. "er..who wants to go pants-less for the rest of their shift?" Rikku asked, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly after the tenth attempt to get either of them zipped up failed. "oh oh! Me! MEEEE!" Sora said, holding up his left hand and giggling. now that he had been told it was ok to go back to being a baby, he'd grabbed it with both hands so to speak and gladly kicked off his pants. "Now everyone can see how cute my diapies are daddy!" he giggled and wiggled his butt. Roxas on the other hand, turned pale. "No! no no no no no!" he whined and as if it was somehow Rikku's fault for not trying hard enough, hopped up and down tugging on the dress pants trying to force them up. "Come onnn work with me you stupid things!" Roxas whined, looking like a huffy toddler and Sora giggled and snuggled into daddy watching the show. "er..Roxas..i don't think it's gonna work. you might as well give up before you-" Rikku started. he was cut off as a loud rip was hear and the ass of the pants ripped open, along with the crotch of them. "..rip them." Rikku finished, trying not to laugh at the look of shock and embarrassment on Roxas face. "I..but..DAMN IT!" Roxas yelled and grabbed at the rip and tore it all, venting his frustrations at the poor pants while Sora gasped and covered his ears. "Daddy! he said a bad word!" Sora cried out. "I think we'll let him have a mulligan on that one buddy." Rikku said and gave Sora a side hug. A side hug that apparently helped whatever was left in the boys system come out because Sora yelped and then hugged Rikku tight and buried his face into his side as he started to load his diaper. not to be out done and with the remains of his pant's in his hands, Roxas dropped to a squat and used one hand to brace himself on the floor as the other arm clutched at his tummy. the back of both boy's white and chocobo print diapers puffed out rapidly and the chocobo's vanished from the back and front as they wet themselves while loading their diapers. '..oh good. because one stinky baby wasn't enough.' Rikku thought sweat dropping as the wails started again. "DADDDDY!" Came the twin cries, at the same time and Rikku wondered if maybe, just maybe..the two had practiced to nail such perfect timing.
Helping himself to a pack of the extra thick nighttime diapers off the shelf, and keeping track of what he'd owe Malcore, Rikku got the big babies changed even as they hiccuped and whined. the sobs and complaints about the design of the diapers (have just generic moons and stars on them) were muffled as Rikku also snagged a package of pacifiers from the shelf and popped one in each boys mouth. red mouth guard for Sora, yellow for Roxas. the big babies sucked on their paci's and wiped at their tears with one hand, but also were (Squeal!) holding each others hands for support while Rikku got them changed. He tried to get them to stand up and find something for them to do once they were nice and safe in their diapers, but the boys legs were shaken and they both looked wiped. considering how much they had pooped out and how fast it had happened, it wasn't really all that surprising though really. Rikku added to his mental tab and got a couple of baby bottle off of the shelf and then some Gatorade and filled the bottles up. the electrolyte's in the juice would help them feel better in a bit, though they were both falling asleep. Looking around the store, Rikku spotted a play pen that was on display in the back and tilted his head. 'It'll be a little cramped..but it's the best I can do.' he thought. With the big babies fading fast and rubbing their eyes even as they sucked on their ba-ba's (Rikku had made use of paci clips and ribbons so the paci's just hung from the boys work shirts) Rikku got them both up and set on either hip and carried them down to the playpen. "Ok sleepyheads, you two are gonna go night night for awhile ok? Daddy will be here when you wake up. I know the play pen is gonna be a little cramped, but it's the best I can do on short notice." Rikku said. there was no fight left in the big babies and they just slowly nodded. 'If they were only so cute and agreeable ALL the time.' Rikku thought to himself. of course just because Roxas was all cute and helpless NOW didn't mean he wasn't going to get punished later. it just meant Rikku was willing to let him work this this if for no other reason then bare bottom spanking a oversized big baby when they have the runs will ALWAYS end badly. Gently setting them in the playpen, Rikku couldn't help but grin like a fool and lean over the edge and watch as the more asleep then awake baby snuggled right into each other and let the ba-ba's drop and then (BIG squeal!) popped each others paci in the others mouth as they went off to dream land.'...OK..maybe having two big babies is gonna be worth the extra stink.' Rikku mentally gushed. grabbing a blanket he put it over the sleeping babies, and then went to work cleaning up.
Malcore was NOT happy as he made his way back to the store. the manger had been woken up from a dead sleep by a deliver man bringing certain ..packages.. to his place but when malcore had gone to take his wallet out to show ID he'd realized he'd forgotten it back at the store. Thankfully the guy cut him a break and let him get his packages but now the half asleep and grumpy Manger had to walk ALL the way to and ALL the way back to the store, because he'd been a dumb ass and let his next door neighbor borrow his car. "No good deed goes fucking unpunished." Malcore grumbled. walking into the shop he noticed a heavy fruity scent in the air and groaned. "Roxas, Sora, I swear if you two were playing fart war again Il.." Malcore started and then blinked as it was Rikku who was behind the counter, not one of his employee's. "oh uh..Hey Malcore." Rikku said. "is there a reason your behind the counter right now and not one of the two dorks i pay to be hind the counter?" Malcore asked. before Rikku could answer however there was a loud snore from the back of the shop. Holding a hand up to shush Rikku, Malcore walked over and looked down to the back of the store and yup, there was Sora and Roxas, asleep in a playpen. "..Do I wanna know the full details or do I wanna just save the head ache and fire them both and pray I can get someone else in to cover their shift?" malcore asked, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "..if it helps you've made about a $100 bucks off of them from everything I've had to buy and plan to leave with." Rikku said sheepishly. "Uh-huh.. I'll just be keeping their last pay checks, and you can sit here till I convince DT or Josh or Lute to come in. flip side, you can load up on what you need for them on the way out after I get a replacement in here." "heh, deal." 'And they wonder why I need my stress relief so much.' Malcore thought and headed for the office.
after about 45 minutes DT came into the store, looking pouty and smelling of baby power but dressed and ready for work. he did stop to gush and coo at how cute the big babies looked even if by that point Roxas and Sora had been changed into clean diapers and put into a black mage print onesie for Roxas, and a chocobo print one for Sora. they were also in a double stroller with lots of diapers packed in the undercarriage. Sora giggled and coo'ed as DT baby talked and tickled his chin while Roxas was red faced and sucking on his paci, hugging a teddy bear after finding out he'd been canned. "Who's a widdle cutie, who's a cute widdle big baby?" DT gushed and coo'ed. "hehehehe Meeee!" Sora gurgled in babyish tone and clapped his hands. "That's right! such a clever boy!" DT said and tapped Sora on the nose, then turned his attention to Roxas."Awww don't look so grumpy, your a big baby t-" DT started to say but Roxas shot him a look and DT gulped and moved away from the front of the stroller. "Er..yeah..so..I think that cuteness makes up for getting woken up." DT said, squeaking a little as he talked to Rikku "Right. you were were sleeping." Rikku said, giving a knowing look to the clerk. After all a professional daddy like Rikku knew a big baby when he saw one.
Wheeling the babies out of the shop they headed home with Sora going out of his way to wave hi to people and get attention from anyone they came across, the video had fried any sense of modesty from him and Roxas could only try and hide behind his stuffed bear as he thought he had a reputation to protect. Of course everyone on the block knew he was just as much of a big baby as Sora, but for the most part no one said anything because when confronted he had a habit of going into a high pitched whining denial speech and the whine could get SO high pitched dogs would howl. Making it back to Rikku and Sora's place first, Rikku got the stroller inside and then let the babies out while he unloaded everything from it. "Look uh..I'm glad you bailed us out and everything..but..I'm gonna go home." Roxas said, huffing a little as he stood there dressed like a big baby. "Well before you go, I figured you might want these..and know that I know what you did." Rikku Said, handing two of the large packs of diapers to Roxas and giving the big baby a look. The color drained from the big babies face and he stammered and whined a little as Sora who had been crawling over to go and play with some toys turned around and looked confused. "what did he do daddy?" the big aby asked. "Oh, nothing you need to worry about little guy. but he'll be coming over later to get punished for it. right Roxas?" Rikku said and looked Roxas right in the eyes. a wet fart escaped the blond and he gave a weak smile. "I.I..Uh..Yes sir." he said meekly. he briefly wondered about just trying to put it off and avoid contract with Rikku for like a week or so and see if this would just blow over. "And you know the longer you wait to take your licks, the worse it's going to be right?" Rikku added. 'Well shit.' Roxas thought. "I-I Understand sir." Roxas said, anther wet fart coming out and some bubbly ones coming from sora too. "if I was you, I'd either get my butt home before you end up unloading on the front lawn or just stay in here for anther diaper change." Rikku advised. Roxas went to say something but a bubbling fart had him change his mind and dash out the door, racing home.
Luck was on Roxas side, or so it seemed at first as he made it to his place and got inside before the churning in his tummy tum had him drop to his knees and start filling out the seat of his diaper once again. by this point he was basically used to the helpless feeling of crapping himself, though it still kinda hurt and burned. As he groaned and grunted and loaded his huggies, the door closed thankfully, he noticed the pink paper on the floor and gulped. even before he picked it up to read it he had a fairly good idea what it was going to say. he was maybe a month or two..ok 4 months behind on rent and had kept promising to make payments but then would go ahead and blow all his money on video games and the like. this mean he was the envy of every other boy on the block but as he looked the notice over, it also meant he had a week to move his stuff out. He was being evicted. "what did I do to deserve all of this!" Roxas cried out loud as he finished pooping his pampers and slowly got up to his feet using the wall for balance. a quick look in the kitchen and seeing the chocolate ex-lax wrapper reminded him. "..DAMN IT!"
Rikku was in the middle of changing Sora, who was busy sucking on his paci and playing with a stuffie as Rikku handled the the dirty deed, when the door bell rang. Since Sora was all clean and just waiting on a fresh diaper Rikku rubbed his belly. "you gonna be ok here for a second champ while I answer the door?" he asked. Sora nodded and went back to playing with his stuffie and Rikku made his way to the door quickly. It wasn't that he didn't trust Sora to stay put, it was more of he didn't wanna come back and find out he had peed all over himself. Opening the door Rikku was semi shocked to find Roxas back already, he hadn't been gone that long. A strong breeze blew and even if Roxas's diaper hadn't of been sagging in his onesie Rikku would of been able to tell that he was a stinky boy. "heh, you know, I'm not gonna change EVERY poo-" Rikku started, but was cut off. "I-I'm getting evicted..and..and..Can I move in with you guys for awhile?" Roxas asked, bottom lip trembling. "J-just till I get back on my feet!" Rikku thought about how Roxas had turned Sora back into a big baby, and gotten them both fired (though Sora again WAS gonna quit) and toyed with saying no. but in the end seeing the big baby scared and upset, he just couldn't bring himself to be mean. "I suppose so..but there are going to be some rules..but we'll go over them in a bit. first, let's get you changed into a clean diaper." Rikku said and ruffled Roxas hair. the big baby glomped him and Rikku just smiled.
Sora was more then a little excited at the prospect of having a brother to share his nursery with and babbled on and on about all the fun stuff the two of them were gonna do together as he sat on the floor in just a diaper and socks while Rikku changed Roxas. Rikku explained it was going to be din din time soon, the boys needed to get something in their systems and it was just easier to have big babies in diapers and socks while they ate. He also explained that as long as Roxas lived under his roof, he'd be treated JUST like Sora, which meant treated JUST like a big silly baby. no changing his own diapers, no using the potty, 7:30 pm bedtimes and the whole nine yards. If at any point Roxas had had enough and didn't wanna do it, he was always free to walk out the door. Sniffling as he heard the rules, Roxas thought about how all of this had started just so he could steal some diapers and pretend to BE a baby. Now he was trapped, with no job and no money..he was STUCK as a baby, It was a fitting punishment and fitting end for the blonds plans, and he STILL had a spanking to look forward to.
THE END...For now.

DT Season 3 Episode Thoughts:
Just a short review of every Season 3 Episode because why not (no spoilers, its just long lol):
Just a short review of every Season 3 Episode because why not: 1 Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks! Pretty good. Didn’t like it as a season premiere tho, just would have preferred Quack Pack to start season 3. Happy for a Huey centered beginning tho. And set up the journal and FOWL well. 2 Quack Pack! Great episode. The designs we so good. Loved Huey breaking the 4th wall in Abed fashion. Just really enjoyable. Also side note, this is my favorite Launchpad look in the series. I love him in the pilots hat and on top of that I love the color palette. That goes for everyone else too. Love those bright 90s colors. 3 Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice! If I had a nickel and every time a Disney cartoon took my favorite character (who has red hair) and gave him a weird James Bond 180 degree character change with a dumb voice and a suit, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice (the other one is Bashful from the 7D). I like it because it’s got Launchpad. A lot of Launchpad. And that’s all I’ll say. 4 The Lost Harp of Mervana! Pretty good. Love when Donald’s around. I liked that the harp moved along the secret Webby plot. A fun episode. 5 Louie's Eleven! We got Daisy in this episode, which is a major win. This DonDaisy is so so good. For the rest of the ep, I wish Huey had been part of the scheme more. I just like it when my boys are together. It was nice to see the 3 Caballeros even tho I preferred their first episode. Mark Beaks was kinda funny in this episode. Enjoyable, but I seriously missed Huey. 6 Astro B.O.Y.D.! It made me cry. I don’t think there’s anything else to say. (Seriously an amazing episode. I love Huey, Gyro, Fenton, and Boyd. So fantastic). 7 The Rumble for Ragnarok! A good episode if I recall. Huey got the animation budget in this episode. The fights were meh but I enjoyed the triplets in this one. Also enjoyed Launchpad knowing a lot about something (other than Darkwing of course). 8 The Phantom and the Sorceress! Aaaaaand here’s where I stop having a good time. A boring ep after a long hiatus. Magica annoyed me, Gladstone bored me, and I really used to like Webby but I can hardly stand Webby-centered episodes anymore. 9 They Put a Moonlander on the Earth! I don’t like Penumbra very much and Webby was annoying. I also don’t like seeing LP making a fool of himself (and putting the kiddos at risk in the process). HOWEVER, I like pretty much having confirmation that Penumbra is a lesbian. 10 The Trickening! Was a let down. Would have been more fun earlier on in the series I think. I also can’t believe LP is THAT dumb. It was painful. 11 The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades! I really loved seeing Goldie. Such good scroldie content with good kisses. A fun ep with an interesting concept but I had WAY too many questions about how no one was suspicious after tons and tons of college kids go missing over like, many years. Super dark. 12 Let's Get Dangerous! Absolutely amazing. Best episode of the season by far. One of the best in the show. I just really really love Darkwing Duck and the Mallard/McQuack family brings me incredible joy. 13 Escape from the ImpossiBin! Solid ep. The ending where everyone is calling Scrooge with what was stolen SLAPPED. Also the rooftop showdown and Donald being just the fucking best. 14 The Split Sword of Swanstantine! Liked the dynamics of the children. Enjoyed Lena and The Duke and Louie and Violet. Those parts were great. I feel like I didn’t need more Dewey Webby friendship stuff like the others were so much more unpredictable. Still not my favorite episode tho. 15 New Gods on the Block! Great because it had Daisy. I just wanted DonDaisy content. 16 The First Adventure! A very cute episode. I just love seeing Donald and Della as kids. A fun episode and I really enjoyed it. 17 The Fight for Castle McDuck! Boring and a let down. Not nearly as interesting or good as the other episode that took place at Castle McDuck. 18 How Santa Stole Christmas! I did not care for this one at all. I would have preferred not actually ever knowing more of Scrooge’s hatred towards Santa. I enjoyed the mystery. If anything, I would have preferred the whole family to save Christmas like they did at the end. Also, why is Scrooge such a dick sometimes? Like you think he’s getting better and then gave everyone coal. Like come on, man. 19 Beaks in the Shell! Not my favorite, but definitely not the worst. I missed Fenton. He and Gandra were pretty cute I guess. Love that Huey content. The best scene was Louie pretending to be Huey. Needed more Gyro. Mark is hella annoying and a shit villain now. 20 The Lost Cargo of Kit Cloudkicker! Liked Kit. Disliked everything else. Weird Dewey arc. Needed Launchpad. 21 The Life and Crimes of Scrooge McDuck! Could have been so much better. I feel no sympathy for Magica. Scrooge isn’t blameless for things tho like he was a dick for a long ass time and still has dickish tendencies. I hate Doofus why did the episode have Louie apologizing to him???? Bad! Just a weird episode. 22 The Last Adventure! TBD but I really hope it’s good. I don’t wanna get my hopes up too high tho.

Some Alt. Jobs for the Kids in the Future:
Mainly doing this as just a thought experiment. Usually people are of one mind on what the kids will *probably* be when they are older(myself included) so I wanted to give some alts that could fit their personalities.
Louie-Manger/Agent:Making this list mainly for him because I recalled Princess Carolyn from BoJack and how her job could fit Louie pretty well. Ik a lot of people headcanon Lawyer! Louie, I do too, but I think this would be a fun idea.
A manager's job is basically finding ways to get their client's hired or trying to tailor a client's project in order for it to be marketable. We already seen Louie do this in his ep this season but I think it be cool if became a legit job for him. He's still a McDuck ward so nothing with his business would be "normal" and he would have to do similar "schemes" to get his clients jobs, especially if they are inter-dimensional goat demons.
Louie would probably say the reason he became a manager would be "because I've been trying to convince people I am good enough my entire life, might as well make a career out of it". Edgy ik, but this is Louie we are talking about of course he say some dumbshit.
Dewey-YouTube Personality: this is probably just a less popular hc rather than one that's not talked about at all like the Louie (or the next couple examples). For me, I can't see Dewey being anything but some kind of globe trotting adventurer who would also record it for views. But in the case that DIDN'T happen, I think he'd become a youtube personality and make shows with his friends and family. I think it be really cute, that even as they grown older and become more independent, Dewey can still find ways to bring them all to his house to be apart of his youtube show(s) where he and a guest try to guess obscure history facts Webby comes up with (Watchers know what I'm talking about) or where he and some friends try to solve unsolved mysteries or try and bake without a recipe (im really showing what content i watch).
His Youtube channel would be sporadic like, "series" but he doesn't make actual playlists (Huey or Violet do) and uploads whatever he wanted to do that week. Good thing is, he never misses an upload date. Almost.
Huey-Military Engineer/Tech Guy (IE better Beaks): I had the hardest time with figuring out Huey since like Webby, he can pretty much be in any field to me (as long as its stem related). This suggestion to me is the least chill out of all of them but I picked it because 1. Huey likes structure and chain of command and 2. Science and defense systems.
Out of his brothers, Huey isn't the most WORRIED about safety but he definitely is the one who would do something about it to fix it. I can see him making some intergalactic defense systems and various prevention junk. Maybe he works under Gosalyn's administration[see gos] or he makes "unnatural-natural phenomenon" protection stuff. Kinda like the seawalls in Venice but like, stuff to make sure the Earth doesn't get destroyed because of all the crazy shit the duckverse has. Like ghost forcefields or the reversal of timephoons. I don't think he would be a Tony Stark character tho so I am not 100% with this one.
He could also just be a tech guy, but yknow, better than Mark Beaks. He accidentally has more followers than him would crush him in twitter fights (an example would be something along the Logan Paul vs Chris D'Elia). I find this just really funny, Huey would actually be what all those "good guy billionaires" claim to be (also he wouldn't be one just as a matter of principle). Owlson would probably be his mentor or maybe just business partner.
Webby-Comic Artist/Cartoonist: Webby, to me, can pretty much go into any field and I would be like "yeah makes sense". However I know in my heart she'd be some kind of spy or detective. Thinking about her being anything else was honestly kinda hard but then I realized she DOES have another hobby which could be turn into a career - her drawings and stories. Webby is definitely a creative person, maybe the most creative so far in front of or slightly behind Dewey, so I think she would like to make comics and cartoons.
If you want to be angsty, maybe she chooses this mundane route because she was somewhat conditioned by her granny (or her creators if theories are to he proven right) to be a super spy; choosing to be a cartoonist is something she was never trained to become and yet she still did because it's something SHE wanted to do for herself.
Lena-Poet/Song Writer: okay another one that might not be uncommon but I like to just see it thrown out there. Lena is cool in large part because of her magic but in a possible similar motivation to Webby, she wanted to be a poet not only because she was good at it but because she wanted to be. This doesn't have to be her main hussle, usually I don't see it as such, but I also think it be cute if she became a new Robert Frost (this is the only poet ik sorry).
Violet-Cosmologist: Most people see Violet as either some kind of chemist, professor, or occasionally a witch. I think another good alt tho would be cosmology since Violet herself wants to understand the world around her, which is a bit different from Huey who wants to obtain knowledge for knowledge sake in the case it might come in handy though not extremely. Cosmology as field in the dt universe must be WILD too since im pretty sure most scientists know of all the magic and junk, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if there was a legit subject on it or multiple. Trying to make sense of YOUR universe while knowing others exist along with time travel, possibly multiple after lifes? Its a lot. Perfect job for Vi.
Boyd-Therapist/architect: I feel like this isn't such a niche hc, but I do see more folks make him into his own superhero and/or an accountant. I might be playing into the Baymax stereotype of robots being good mental health assistants but idc, I think it's warranted since he has gone through and understands trauma. Maybe he focuses on those who need rehabilitation or are unable to get paid treatment. Maybe he just helps those who have committed crimes. Another alt is that he becomes an architect, building well planned buildings and public spaces in a flash by utilizing his vast abilities. He might even be commissioned to make space colony housing.
Gosalyn-Politican: Alright so, Gosalyn being a superhero like her dad is like, canon but again in an alt universe where it WASN'T (or maybe later in her life) I can see her becoming political. Frank even laid out some of what inspired this iteration of Gosalyn which included notable political activists, so as of rn its not that far of a stretch to say she might be interested in that. I have a feeling its happens because she gets riled up for something in particular rather than she always wanted to be a career politician or whatever. She would definitely be a less polished politician and that be her appeal, she'd kinda be like an AOC in that regard(im sorry I tried really hard not to name drop political figures but-). An example of her "abnormal" diplomacy tactics is where she stopped Ragnarok semi permanently by absolutely wrecking their shit. (She be dramatic about it like her dad, coming in her normal President wear and then throw it off to reveal some crazy wrestling shit. Louie would also make a lot of money that day.)

Merchandise Predictions!
(Time for something different!)
Since the New York Toy Fair is coming up this week, I wanted to put together a quick list of guesses of what we might be able to expect and what I would personally like to see because I’m very excited about this. I can imagine a lot more focus on the secondary characters this time around with some first wave characters returning.
Standard Figures:
There were six packs last time and the characters came with two accessories that reflected something they did on the show.
Mrs. Beakley wasn't included in the first wave, so maybe she’ll get one this time. She might come with a cleaning tool like a feather duster and a spy device. Perhaps a grappling hook of her own? Maybe a tray with tea?
It seems like Gyro is getting more involved this season, so a standard figure for him could be an option. I can definitely see Lil’ Bulb as one of his accessories. Maybe the other could be something like a notepad, a phone, or his shrink ray?
If Gyro gets merch, Fenton has a good chance of get his own too. Could he come with a binder? The light ray he was using in “Shadow War”?
Lena was a Money Stack figure last time and is expected to return at some point this season. She might come with the friendship bracelet Webby made for her, a spell book or Webby’s doll.
I think Magica could end up getting a standard figure; there might be a pattern going on where at least one villain is in each wave. One of her items would definitely be her scepter. Maybe another can be Scrooge’s Number One Dime with her face on it? They’d probably have to enlarge it. I’m probably asking for too much here, but it would be cool if her feathers were color changing; like at room temperature, they’re green, but when cold, they’re white.
Darkwing Duck was a Money Stack figure last time and it’s hinted that the show isn't done with him, so it would be really great if he got standard figure. He’d definitely have his gas gun; maybe converted to a grappling hook, and a saxophone like the one he was playing in “Last Crash” would be a fun addition.
I believe Della is a possibility since she too is becoming more apparent this season, but I feel like it’s still too soon for her to have a standard figure or much merch in Wave 2 at all. She’s being talked about more yet she’s still elusive. Maybe PhatMojo & Disney will hold back on her until next year to give people more time to watch her mystery play out. If she does end up having a figure, maybe it’ll be a tool and removable goggles. Or maybe her entire flight cap will be removable.
Mark Beaks is another possibility, but the demand for a standard figure might be kinda low, though. He would, of course, come with a phone and maybe a snow cone too.
Playsets:
I think the next playset based on a building could be Scrooge’s mansion because both his home and The Money Bin are locations of extreme importance. Having them be the first would be the most expected.
The PhatMojo announcement article from last year seemed to imply that there will be many more vehicle sets to build in upcoming waves. Perhaps one of those could be the Gizmosuit? It’s a machine with pieces that connect together when activated. It’s a little hard to imagine Gizmo getting his own standard figure without a Fenton one and vice-versa. I feel like both of them wouldn't end up having standard figures; PM might want to do something special for Gizmo. If Fenton gets a standard figure, he could be placed into the robotic suit like Launchpad can be placed into the Sunchaser for the first wave. Maybe with a removable helmet you can snap on. However we get Gizmo, I hope he comes with a good stand/base to keep him from toppling over.
I suppose another possibility for a future vehicle playset could be Scrooge’s limo with a more chauffeur-looking Launchpad figure.
Another vehicle concept that could work is The Spear of Selene since it crashed into pieces (Haha oof) and Della’s trying to rebuild it(?) Maybe it’ll come with a long-haired Della figure too.
Mini Figure Set:
LP, Mrs. B and Donald were missing in the first batch so they have a high chance of appearing in the next installment if one is planned. Others I could see being included are Gyro, Fenton, and Lena.
Money Stacks:
Mrs. B, Gizmoduck, Fenton, Gyro, Mark, and maybe it’ll have Della as rare figure in a similar manner that Darkwing was. Maybe Storkules, Selene and...Manny(?) could appear too. I feel like there might end up being character repeats from the first wave, but the poses will be different. Blind Bag figure waves tend to have multiples.
Talking Plush:
LP, Mrs. B and Donald since they weren't included in the last set. Gyro? Fenton? Lena?
Other Merch Things:
While I’m at it, more girl-aimed apparel, accessories & etc. with Webby on it along with more gender neutral stuff with all the cast together would be nice. A lot of those type of items that were released last year were only aimed at boys and there wasn't an effort to even things out. Which is really weird because while there are a lot of male characters in the cast, the reboot was never solely aimed at a boy demographic. Webby was surprisingly snuck into a couple of those items, but like...if you’re gonna separate, give us some girl stuff too.
Moving on from Target, it would be cool if the shopDisney came out with plush toys of Scrooge, Launchpad, Donald and Mrs.Beakley. We...we just need more Launchpad and Beakley merch; they tend to get kicked out of a lot of things. Adult apparel & accessories of the reboot to go alongside the classic styled stuff would be great to see too.
As much as I would love to, I won’t be able to attend the toy fair to see what we’ll be getting in person, but I’ll make sure to embed or reblog any coverage that ends up online...if we’re allowed to. Last year, it was asked for attendees not to take any photographs from PhatMojo’s display, but that request was ignored...hopefully things will be ok this time.
In the meantime, here’s a list of additional links:

First Impressions / Half-Review of Go Go Squid 2: Dt. Appledog's Time
Firstly, some info on the show: https://mydramalist.com/58373-my-dear.
You can also watch this video by Avenue X: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03cdEKRxThQ which also mentions some points I thought of too.
I’m not a good critic of dramas and am bad at reviewing but I like sharing my thoughts so if you are interested to know, then read on.
SPOILERS AHEAD because I do not know to to review something without spoiling.
And some clarifications because I start from a different point than many others out there. I watched Go Go Squid (drama) and found out that there will be a spinoff (/sequel but it is definitely more of a spinoff, why? I’ll tell you later) which is based on a novel too.
So Go Go Squid is based on Novel 1, Go Go Squid 2 is based on Novel 2. I watched Drama 1 then read Novel 2 and now am watching Drama 2.
I also watched/read everything in Chinese so there might be some stuff which are understood better as translated stuff does miss out on nuances.
I will segment this into a few parts because I do want to explain the universe(?) that this is based on.
I have only seen Drama 2 up to episode 16 of 38 as of 17 Feb 2021 but will be updated as I watch more.
1. Names of Dramas / Novels
Drama 1 has a Chinese name of 亲爱的,热爱的 which I would translate to as Dearly, Passionately if it is literal, and as you can see has nothing to do with Squids. However, the novel it is based on is named 蜜汁炖鱿鱼 which means Honey Stewed Squid, Squid Stewed in Honey and this is where the word Squid actually comes from. Novel 1′s name does have a reason, the female lead is a singer whose name is 鱿鱼 or Squid if I remember correctly and honey is something sweet which I would guess is like melting the ice prince kind of feeling.
Drama 2 has a Chinese name of 我的时代,你的时代 which I will come to later. It’s original intended name is actually 亲爱的,挚爱的 which is Dearly, Belovedly kind of name but they scraped that which I have some reason to why. Novel 2 has a name of 密室困游鱼 which I translate to as Swimming Fish Stuck In Escape Room, this name also has a reason which I will bring in later in the next part. Okay so for the current name, it is related to the Novel 2, it is actually the concluding line of the novel which translates to My Era/Generation, Your Era/Gen, which I guess they wanted to relate to the novel more, the original name would be closer to Drama 1′s name and has some meaning has Belovedly hints at how the male lead has loved the female lead for a long time.
Do I like any of the translations? Honestly, not really as the novel names reflect the novel and the drama names only reflect some of the adaptations but is still largely inaccurate.
2. Universe of Dramas / Novels
Both novels (I assume but I have not read Novel 1) are based on a gaming world where they compete in games like Counter Strike, Novel 2 has a focus on this game called Escape Room which explains its name.
Drama 1 is based on a coding competition actually so elements of team fight / attack and defence is more prominent like in games.
Drama 2 is based on a robot fighting competition which has more attack and defence elements but less of team fight.
By the way, they reference a lot of the characters by their in game name and not their actual name.
3. Solo Team Breaking Up / Relationships
From Drama 1, I understood that Solo Team broke up because Solo’s ex was pregnant and thus he broke up with Appledog and fathered the child. The mess between the relationships eventually caused the team to be unhappy and broke up.
From Novel 2, this is also what I inferred.
From Drama 2, I do not get what happened but it seemed that Appledog was the main reason.
Next, in Drama 1 and Novel 2, Solo/Wang Hao no longer has feelings for Appledog/Ai Qing and is just her superior. It is known that Dt/Wu Bai is Gun/Han Shang Yan’s cousin to everyone and that Gun/Han Shang Yan knows that Dt/Wu Bai likes Appledog/Ai Qing.
In Drama 2, all the above is not true.
4. Certain Events
In Drama 1, Drama 2 and Novel 2, the part where Xiao Mi is falling behind is mentioned. The dramas seem to make it a big deal while Novel 2 had made it known and it became a little part of something that pushed Wu Bai/Ai Qing’s relationship further.
In Drama 1 and Novel 1, Ai Qing is a game interpreter(? Idk if that is the official term) but in Drama 2, Ai Qing was still a competitive player and only stepped off after some time later.
5. Wu Bai/Ai Qing’s Relationship
I’m only comparing between Drama 2 and Novel 2 here, not much happened in Drama 1 so I would just say that they were hinting at the relationship.
Wu Bai in the novel is super quiet and always wears his cap which hides his eyes underneath its shadow. Wu Bai in the drama is almost talkative to me(?) like maybe because he is the main character and main characters talk a lot but it’s almost as if that his feelings for Ai Qing is like super super obvious. He also does a lot of things for Ai Qing even before they met (like fixing the light, drawing the flowers etc) but in the novel, Wu Bai is definitely not like that, he does things but is sort of more reasonable.
Ai Qing also seems to be more flirty(?)/interested in Wu Bai from the start for the drama while in the novel, she gradually realises that she has feelings for him through spending time together. I have not watched if they got together yet in the drama but I am definitely expecting it to be very different from the novel.
At Episode 17 now and oh my god, why did they kiss in the gaming arena???? To me it is super OOC for Wu Bai, I would see him as a guy who prefers a private place to kiss in the novel (their first kiss was also in a room/house) but dude.
At Episode 27 now 17:30 mark and the line which Wang Hao/Solo said when he told Bao Na that Wu Bai/Dt and Ai Qing/Appledog is dating is actually the sentence he posted in the Weibo post when their relationship was made known to the public in the novel.
6. Shen Yue/Ai Jing’s Relationship
Their relationship is not a super big part of Novel 2. There are mentions of how Shen Yue’s ex brings about problems, how they are on/off and the ending for them is that Ai Jing is trying to get over him but I do think that it is more open ended.
Drama 2 on the other hand just straight up says that here is your second couple, and how much they flirt, done. Honestly, I am like okay for that couple, not necessarily shipping them but just okay.
7. Should You Watch The Drama?
I think it’s okay to give it a go, you might like it and watch it once or twice but I doubt it will be a drama that I will rewatch often. Again, I have only watched 16 episodes but I think my thoughts would not really change that much.
8. Should You Read The Novel?
YESSSS. IT IS MY FAVOURITE NOVEL OF ALL TIME.
Again, I have read like 20 novels at most but it is a very lovely one.

A 2019 NFL Mock Draft To Kill Some Time
Joey
April 8th, 2019
1) Arizona Cardinals select QB Kyler Murray, University of Oklahoma There's two likely outcomes to consider at this point. The first is that Kyler Murray winds up in Arizona with Josh Rosen getting moved somewhere (and honestly, a 1st round QB with three years left on an affordable deal should not require much arm wringing to jettison) and the second is some team moves up to #1 to take him here. Either way, he's the guy right now.
2) San Francisco 49ers select DE Nick Bosa, Ohio State University I feel pretty confident in the first five picks or so but the most confident I am as of right now is in San Francisco picking Nick Bosa. Nick Bosa plus Dee Ford on the outside with Arik Armstead, Deforrest Buckner and Solomon Thomas rotating on the inside? That's a tremendous defensive line. Also don't get caught up in 3-4 vs 4-3 or who plays where; remember these teams play in the nickel close to 60% of their defensive snaps. Plenty of room to get rushers on the field.
3) New York Jets select Edge Josh Allen, University of Kentucky The Jets are spending like a team that believes it's ready to take the next step with a young QB which is probably want you want to do when you have a cheap quarterback. Allen to the Jets is one of those heavily whispered rumors in the Tri-State area that grows louder by the day.
4) Oakland Raiders select DL Quinnen Williams, University of Alabama Arguably the top player in the draft being there at 4? Good fit for a team that traded away a top flight pass rusher and then spent the next four months opining about their lack of a pass rush. Williams + Hurst could create a tremendous interior presence for the Raiders.
5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers select LB Devin White, Louisiana State University More defense! The Bucs and Devin White rumor started around the combine and the loss of Kwon Alexander does little to shake those feelings off. White is the best linebacker in the draft and it's worth remembering that there's a bit of a linebacker renaissance going on in the NFL with guys like Leighton Vander Esch, Darius Leonard, Roquan Smith, Tremaine Edmunds and Fred Warner all having tremendous seasons as rookies.
6) New York Giants select DL Ed Oliver, University of Houston Ed Oliver didn't quite have the big time top pick season people thought he'd have with some injuries and a blow up with head coach Major Applewhite weighing down the end of the year. That said, he's still a freakishly athletic and highly productive undertackle prospect who can flip just about any defensive line. He could play end in a 3-4 but again. a lot of nickel defense for pro teams. Oliver would eat on 3rd downs and the Aaron Donald comparisons are NOT entirely off the mark.
7) Jacksonville Jaguars select OT Jawaan Taylor, University of Florida Tom Coughlin is an old school guy who does old school type stuff. They just spent a lot of money on a QB who is not exactly renown for his mobility and they still have Leonard Fournette on their roster. It'll be an OL or DL, just pick which one you prefer.
8) Detroit Lions select DE Rashaan Gary, University of Michigan Here's the pick I struggle with the most. Gary's a superb athlete who lacked any sort of consistent production at Michigan. I think the Lions, like most of the teams in the top 10, are aiming to repair their pass rush and so Gary walks into the door with Tre Flowers creating a unique DL front.
9) Buffalo Bills select TE TJ Hockenson, University of Iowa I bet this pick dances for a QB. Either way kudos, credit and plaudits to Buffalo for trying to give Josh Allen the help necessary to succeed. They grabbed a few smaller quick-ish twitch slot types in Cole Beasley and John Brown who can help their QB and they have a gluttony of old aging RBs who are at least reliable. Even Tyler Kroft as a massive overpay has some sensibilities. TJ Hockenson is a stand out tight end who can do it all be it blocking or receiving. He'll make the Bills offense better and help Josh Allen.
10) Denver Broncos select QB Drew Lock, University of Missouri On paper I'd be shocked if either Lock or Haskins hits THIS number but no trades and outside of New York, there's no real immediate option from 2 to 8 on a QB. John Elway has been tagged to Drew Lock since January and so I doubt Joe Flacco changes anything in that regard.
11) Cincinnati Bengals select QB Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State University My guess is that the Jets and Bengals will have a chit chat about a pick swap. The Ohio State guy playing ball in Cinci seems way too easy to peg if he falls this far or via a move up. Perfect situation for Haskins to sit, learn and develop behind a still kinda competent Andy Dalton.
12) Green Bay Packers select DE-OLB Montez Sweat, Mississippi State University Green Bay's draft last year focused primarily on its defense and they had some hits in their secondary. Perhaps the arrival of Montez Sweat would help complete that defensive turnaround. Again there's a lot of great EDGE talent here.
13) Miami Dolphins select DE Brian Burns, Florida State University This is the final defensive end I feel really confident with and Miami, about to embark on a long rebuild, can at least feel confident in snagging a great athletic edge.
14) Atlanta Falcons select CB Greedy Williams, Louisiana State University The Falcons could use defensive help but let's discuss the law of diminishing returns real quick; does it make sense to take the fourth of fifth best defensive end or the top corner or safety? Think this is the better value and while you can debate Greedy Williams vs Byron Murphy, I think a corner might be a better fit here.
15) Washington Redskins select WR DK Metcalf, Ole Miss I personally find Metcalf to be overhyped (I'd take N'Keal Harry and Hakeem Butler above him) but Washington needs wide outs who can do a thing or two. Metcalf and Doctson would make for a tremendous 1-2 combination and you could do worse at 15 overall than a WR with Metcalf's high upside.
16) Carolina Panthers select OT Andre Dillard, Washington State University The Panthers OL was RAVAGED by injury up and down the line all year. Andre Dillard is a freakishly athletic player who can play either tackle spot and would be a key protector for Cam Newton.
17) New York Giants select QB Daniel Jones, University of Duke If the Giants don't go QB at 6, I can't see how they don't go QB at 17. Daniel Jones to the Giants is going to be a trendy trendy pick going forward with the David Cutcliffe ties and the Manning Academy talk.
18) Minnesota Vikings select OC Garrett Bradbury, North Carolina State The Vikings added Josh Kline which is a help but the interior could still use some work. Garrett Bradbury is the best interior OL in the draft in my estimation so this is a tremendous get for a team in dire need of figuring out its offense going forward.
19) Tennessee Titans select TE Noah Fant, University of Iowa The Titans can choose an edge rusher, another WR, more OL help and etc etc etc. I think Noah Fant can pretty much become the top receiving option for Marcus Mariota without much of a challenge and in due time. A great athlete who was sort of hamstrung by the requirement of Iowa's offense and their chemical dependency on blocking tight ends.
20) The Pittsburgh Steelers select LB Devin Bush, University of Michigan This is probably the tail end of Bush's value but I really didn't see a spot earlier than this where he is a perfect fit. The Ryan Shazier replacement if one can view it under such coarse terms.
21) Seattle Seahawks select FS Nasir Adderly, University of Delaware The continued rebuilding of Seattle's secondary moves forward with Nasir Adderly. Small school guy or not, Adderly is a versatile chess piece by which any defense would be happy to have him.
22) Baltimore Ravens select OL Cody Ford, University of Oklahoma The Ravens could grab an edge, they could grab a WR but I like Cody Ford. He's arguably the best value I've got available and would do wonders for what the Ravens are aiming to build on offense. He could play inside or outside for the Ravens offense.
23) Houston Texans select OT Jonah Williams, University of Alabama The slide of Williams from top 5 player to late first rounder is a touch confounding but the Texans won't mind. They've got some guys at tackle already but Julie'n Davenport was awful and Seantrel Henderson is struggling to stay healthy. Williams gives you an improved tackle option.
24) Oakland Raiders select LB Blake Cashman, University of Minnesota A big time combine riser, Blake Cashman gives the Raiders a somewhat undersized freakishly athletic linebacker. The Raiders are trying to rebuild their defense with draft picks.
25) Philadelphia Eagles select RB Josh Jacobs, University of Alabama Josh Jacobs has ultra limited production at Alabama but that's actually a good thing for a running back. He's got Leveon Bell type traits and the Eagles could use more help as Carson Wentz tries to get back to 2017 levels.
26) Indianapolis Colts select DT Christian Wilkins, University of Clemson The best member of the Clemson DL who is a mature team leader type. Would immediately step in as as a key part of this defensive line and it's worth remembering that Matt Eberflus spent the past four years learning under Rod Marinelli and what he values in defensive line help. It's not the BIGGEST guys but the guys who have the athleticism to play 3 and the size to play 1.
27) Oakland Raiders select DE Clellin Ferrell, University of Clemson The Raiders can't take a WR at pick 27. There's a subtle rule you can't use a pick to replace the dude you traded to get the pick. Ferrell fits here and now the Raiders have a genuinely great young DL with Hurst, Ferrell and Williams.
28) San Diego Chargers select WR Hakeem Butler, Iowa State University I know it's a bit loaded up at the WR spot for the Chargers but they have a young defense, a tremendous QB on the back nine of his career, Mike Williams still trying to find himself, Keenan Allen as a stud guy and you add Butler, another big bodied vertical threat? Seems like a winning formula to me.
29) Kansas City Chiefs select CB Deandre Baker, University of Georgia The secondary was the bugaboo for the Chiefs last year and while it could be argued that injuries didn't help, talent overall is needed. Baker fits the spot.
30) Green Bay Packers select S Taylor Rapp, University of Washington Safeties and corners are likely to be all over the place on the back end of the draft. The Ha Ha Clinton Dix trade opened up a spot in the secondary and Taylor Rapp feels like a perfect fit for what the Packers need. Rapp is good enough in coverage and a tremendous box safety who is instinctive and quicker than fast. Don't let the pro day talk you out of the player.
31) Los Angeles Rams select CB Byron Murphy, University of Washington Corners and safeties. Byron Murphy is a tremendous corner prospect who would provide a long term answer to the CB spot for the Rams with Aquib Talib likely on his last legs and Marcus Peters the sort of dude who burns out his welcome eventually.
32) New England Patriots select WR AJ Brown, Ole Miss A real perfect fit for New England. AJ Brown can play all three key WR spots, he's polished as all hell, he's got the open field ability to be more than just a fun slot guy and Tom Brady would probably embrace him as a new go to. I just don't see an easy fit at tight end to replace Gronk.

Losing in Style – Ten Takeaways from Titans 26, Eagles 23 (OT)
Dilly Dilly!
The Eagles choked on the road and looked bad doing it, blowing fourth quarter and overtime leads en route to a walk-off touchdown loss.
That has to be the worst defeat of the Doug Pederson era, yeah? I can’t think of anything else that matches Sunday in terms of overall disappointment and distaste. Maybe you can look at the Detroit game back in 2016, when the Birds were 3-0 and coming off a bye week. That was a deflating loss that started the eventual tailspin, though expectations then weren’t even close to being what they are now.
Last year featured only one real clunker, the road loss in Seattle, but that was wiped out by a bounce-back win against the Rams just one week later. The season finale didn’t count for diddly poo and the Kansas City loss took place in week two, so whatever with those games.
Therefore, I think we’ve reached the following conclusion –
Yes, this was the worst defeat of the Doug Pederson era.
1) The secondary
Easy to point fingers at these guys, so we’ll start there.
First, the personnel was different with Rodney McLeod on the shelf. Jim Schwartz brought in Corey Graham as expected but decided to use Avonte Maddox at safety in dime looks while leaving Rasul Douglas on the bench. That amounted to 20 snaps (28% of the game) for Maddox, who had the big interception early but slipped on the Corey Davis touchdown. You saw several instances of confusion in the secondary with Maddox covering the deep middle third of the field and playing a position he says he never played before.
The tackling was poor, the Titans found some holes in the zone coverage, and you were just waiting for someone to step up and make a play, which didn’t happen, not in the fourth quarter or overtime at least. Ronald Darby missed tackles. Jalen Mills got beat deep a few times. Graham was culpable on the horrible 4th and 15 conversion. Sidney Jones and Malcolm Jenkins committed overtime penalties.
Individually it was poor, but I also don’t think they were set up the correct way, and that’s on Schwartz.
I honestly do think Douglas would make more sense as a 6th defensive back out there or converted safety, and I know what you’re thinking, ‘here goes Kinkead with his West Virginia shit again,’ but just hear me out:
Avonte Maddox has the body type and skill set to be a slot corner. 6’2″ Douglas played in an unorthodox 3-3-5 defense in college where he moved around in a nickel base. He’s taller, more rangy, a ball hawk who doesn’t have great speed but has soft hands and goes up and attacks passes. 5’9″ Maddox played hard-nosed stuff on the inside at Pittsburgh. I personally believe, as Miss Teen South Carolina once said, that you could use Douglas to cover for McLeod, move Sidney Jones to the outside, and play Maddox on the inside, where he competed during training camp and preseason. I really don’t understand using him as a dime safety.
It’s important to point out that Tennessee came into this game throwing the 2nd fewest passes in the NFL. Last week they ran it 35 times and only threw it 21 times in the win against Jacksonville. This time around they threw it 43 times and ran it 22 times, numbers that do skew a bit due to the extra minutes provided by the overtime period, but that’s pretty close to a 66% pass to run ratio, which is not their game at all.
In more simple terms, the Eagles got torched through the air by a running team.
2) Jalen Mills
Not a great game. I especially enjoyed the finger wagging after the dropped pass that literally had nothing to do with his play at all.
On the afternoon, he gave up 99 yards on three targets, including a 20 yard pass interference play where I thought he did a good job to recover from a stumble before wrapping the receiver prior to the ball arriving:
It’s really not bad coverage. He stays with Davis there, he just has to drop the hands, specifically the off-hand in front of the ref, which killed him last week.
I do wonder where the safety help was on the pair of plays where he got beat deep. That’s hard to identify without the all-22 film, which is released by the league on Wednesday, but here’s what I found going through the regular video:
That was the 51 yarder to Davis. The Eagles were in cover 3 and Graham bit on a shallow route, leaving Mills with no cover over the top.
Also this:
The Titans run a couple of receivers on the strong side and Davis hits Mills with a double move on the outside. Graham can’t help because he’s trending to the side with multiple route runners.
Otherwise that’s it, Mills wasn’t targeted beyond those three times, not that I see when I go over the game film.
I wrote a column last week that basically amounted to “Jalen Mills is what he is,” which is a 7th round draft pick, a solid tackler, a physical overachiever who really does not have elite speed or elite athleticism. I think people have to remember that he beat out guys like Leodis McKelvin and Ron Brooks and Aarony Grymes for a spot, which brings us to where we are now.
The thing with Mills, is that when he gets beat, it looks bad. Ronald Darby got beat yesterday and Sidney Jones committed a horrendous penalty in overtime. Those plays are killers, but they don’t happen 35 yards down the field. When Mills bites on a double move in space with no safety help over the top, the optics of his fuck ups just look worse than the optics of other people’s fuck ups, even though everyone is fucking up.
Is that a fair point?
I’m not saying he’s an amazing player, I’m just trying to come at it from an angle other than “omg Jalen Mills sucks cut his ass right now.”
3) Personnel and play calling
I thought Carson Wentz looked pretty good on the day. I wouldn’t put too much of the fumble on him since Lane Johnson did his best turnstile impersonation on that play.
Defensively, I mentioned the Maddox deployment earlier. Fletcher Cox played 60 snaps for an 85% mark and Haloti Ngata was up to 52%. He and Michael Bennett (51%) have been preferred to Destiny Vaeao on the inside and Bennett has been playing a lot of time there also because the depth at DT is not what it is at DE.
Offensively, they gave Jay Ajayi 15 carries, nine of which took place later in the game. Wendell Smallwood carried the ball five times and Josh Adams was given zero carries while Corey Clement missed the game through injury. The Eagles really did not run the ball much through the early part of the game, just six times out of 25 play calls through the Birds’ first four series. Doug didn’t commit to the ground game until later on.
Pederson also only showed eight under center sets on the entire day. Most of the running came out of the shotgun, and a lot of the under center play-action passes were disastrous, with the offensive line struggling to allow those slow-developing sequences to flourish against a strong Tennessee pass rush.
As for special teams, DeAndre Carter had a really nice punt return doing spot duty back there. The Eagles had zero kick returns, which would have gone to Smallwood if Ryan Succop hadn’t booted every single thing into the end zone.
4) Offensive line
Poor game from the Eagles’ best unit.
I don’t feel like this was talked about much during the week, but Tennessee was the first 3-4 base defense the Birds played against this year. I don’t know how much that played a role in the O-line struggles, but I want to think it did. Harold Landry and Jayon Brown had good games on the left side of that D, and they really do show you a lot of looks that fluctuate from a front three to a front four or five, with guys coming at you from different angles than what you’d get in a typical 4-3.
Here’s an example of one of those slow under center play-action passes that just took too long to develop:
I have no idea what Lane Johnson is doing there. He sticks a hand out and holds position while Brown runs right by him, so it makes me think they were trying to set up some sort of screen.
But look at this Titans’ front –
They’re only running two defensive linemen here, a pair of tackles in DaQuan Jones and Bennie Logan. They put three linebackers on the line of scrimmage and rush five while using Rashaan Evans and safety Kendrick Lewis in shallow coverage:
Looks like some 2012 Eagles wide-9 shit there. I like the 3-4 base because you can do a lot of different things with hybrid defensive end/linebacker tweeners, which Tennessee has plenty of, studs like Landry, Brian Orakpo, and Sharif Finch.
Carson Wentz was sacked four times Sunday, which follows five sacks allowed last week and three the week before. Wentz was hit 11 times total on 52 drop backs and the line conceded six tackles for loss.
5) One-dimensional?
The Eagles defense held Dion Lewis and Derrick Henry to 24 rushing yards.
Seriously.
Marcus Mariota accounted for 46 of the Titans’ 70 rushing yards, which was their lowest total of the year, even with an extra overtime period to pad their numbers.
Again, it’s not really a defensive line thing. They make teams one-dimensional, and when they do, the secondary should be able to clamp down in nickel assuming you can get a decent pass rush going or throw some different blitz looks at the opponent. They sacked Marcus Mariota three times, flushed him from the pocket other times, hit him on six occasions, and did do a decent job overall, decent enough to the point where that game should have been won in regulation.
The Eagles generally have trouble with Russell Wilson type quarterbacks who can run around like a chicken with their head cut off then heave a 50 yard ball to one of five receivers running a route. That wasn’t Tennessee yesterday, but there were a few occasions where Mariota was able to extend plays with his feet and they rolled him and bootlegged him about 6-7 times during this game.
I think the line was pretty gassed by the time the Titans were on their 34th and 35th minute of possession in overtime. You can’t sustain a pass rush against a team going 66% to 33% in a pass/run ratio for five periods of play. It just doesn’t happen. At some point, the secondary needs to make a play, and they didn’t.
Also, can people stop saying the Titans suck? They don’t suck. They were 9-7 last season and won a road playoff game. They are 3-1 this year. They are a decent team.
6) Zach Ertz
He’s on pace to have a million targets this season, or at least it seems that way.
Seriously though, he’s been targeted 33 times through four games, so he’s projected to receive 132 targets over the course of 16 games.
For context, DeAndre Hopkins led the NFL with 176 targets last season. Travis Kelce was the top tight end with 123 looks. Ertz hit 110 on the season, so he’s well on pace to shatter that mark.
I drew a diagram of what I believe was his route chart and heatmap:
Ertz just kept finding that soft spot in the middle of the zone, and Wentz hit him there over and over and over again.
Ok, here’s the real thing.
White lines are completed passes and green is yards after the catch:
Close enough.
Ertz caught 10 of 14 targets for 110 yards Sunday, though Wentz didn’t find him in the end zone.
That honor went to:
7) Alshon Jeffery
Gotta be the biggest positive from otherwise shitty afternoon.
He just makes plays that other receivers can’t make. I’m talking about tough sideline grabs, contested back shoulder throws, jump balls in the corner, and key red zone receptions.
Alshon caught eight balls for 105 yards and a score, and while the touchdown might have been his best grab, he really had a couple of early snags to get himself and the Eagles going. Particularly, there was a great 34 yard reception he made on a 3rd and 4 to keep the chains moving. He caught another one later going up against Malcolm Butler and the only blemish on the day was the catch and fumble that disallowed a first down in Tennessee’s half of the field.
Welcome back Alshon Jeffery, or “Jefferies” if you’re a moron and still can’t get his name right.
8) Doug’s best call?
Probably the decision to pound the ball with the running game to begin overtime.
That’s about it.
9) Doug’s worst call?
Obviously I hated the choice to punt with three minutes left in the fourth quarter on that fourth down and four. The Eagles got the stop and got the ball back to force overtime, but that punt felt antithetical to everything we’ve seen from Doug over the last year or so.
I also did not like the third down draw play right before halftime, the run on 3rd and 3 at Tennessee’s ten yard line. You’ve got Alshon matched up 1v1 in the red zone. Throw him the damn ball.
That felt like the same shit Penn State did on Saturday night in their Ohio State choke job, running the ball when everyone knows you should have thrown it instead.
This just didn’t feel like a Doug Pederson type of game. Mike Vrabel was the coach making gutsy fourth down decisions on the other sideline.
10) Like deja vu all over again
We got Chris Myers and Daryl Johnston and Laura Okmin for the second straight week. Shouldn’t that be a violation in and of itself? Why not just rotate the crews so they aren’t calling the same team two weeks in a row?
The good thing was that Myers was unable to mispronounce “Clement” this time, since Corey Clement didn’t play. It did sound like one of the pair kept saying “Ajayi” wrong, but I honestly did not pay much attention to the broadcast. This group is fine, but they just don’t do anything to get me super excited OR super annoyed. They just sort of exist, which isn’t the worst thing in the world.
My only real complaint with the broadcast is that we got that commercial with the hypnotist sitting in his front yard. He snaps his fingers and asks some guy to clean his gutters, then says this:
“Todd, you go make me a “fertata”
I don’t know why he pronounces it that way because the dish is a “frittata.” It’s an Italian egg-based casserole type of thing, and it’s spelled with the F-R-I, not F-E-R. There’s no such thing as a “fertata.”
Anyway, that annoys me, but not as much as the Eagles losing on a 16 play, 75 yard drive in overtime.

Week 6
Hey Guys! I’m switching the way I post. I’ll focus on posting about the highlights of the week from now on! :)
DAY 38 Monday (13 August) We started the day with morning exercise - walked round nib stadium, played scarecrow.
For Quiet time, God said you are good. And I said I am good because you are good. And I got the song, let the king of my heart. I ask God what his mission was for me today? It was to look after a friend who was recently heartbroken. How? To love and care for her. We had worship with the whole ywam.. it was all about the goodness of God which was exactly what I had during quiet time!! The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. Nahum 1:7 NLT. We had a very productive band practice and started tweaking things here and there! :D Also we started on our weekly topic, “Holy Spirit” by Rachel Mcgirr.
We also did rehearsals at night as usual for dance numbers! Also I saw that Abby from priceless had left me a note <3 So much loveeeeee! miss her
DAY 39 Tuesday (14 August) During Qt.. God was reminding me to move away from slave mentality to child of God mentality. It occurred to me during lecture the day before that I still retained aspects of a “slave mentality” instead of relying on God and pursuing a more purposeful relationship with God. Today was also my turn to do a “God Talk”. It’s basically you teaching your small group about an aspect of God. I was really thinking of what to talk about even to the day. That morning, God wanted me to repent of greed of money. I had thoughts of wanting to keep donations for myself so that I didn’t have to pay more for outreach but God said it’s not for me. So I repented and made sure all went to David and Abigail. He reminded me that He is the God of the plentiful. God our provider. And that was what I decided to talk about in small group. The bunch of us went to Emma’s.
The Gist was... When we say let’s keep it for ourselves you are telling God, God u are not enough for me. When we aren't generous - we withhold the blessings that another person could receive, we aren’t being channels of blessings. And I ask them to spend some time and ask God to reveal to you areas of your life that is stuck in this slave mentality.. It was pretty cool because God talked to through of them from this God talk. They also had that mindset.
I sang with Caleb and Gyu which I had not ever done before after dinner! That was fun! Also spent some time updating the team newsletter. We ended the day with song rehearsals and the learning of a new dance for greatest showman.
DAY 40 Wednesday (15 August) During Quiet time: God said I am enough so you are enough. I said You are enough but I am not and He said you are enough for me. Your everything is enough for me. I felt a hug from the back with one arm across my shoulders and the other across the top of my head.
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. 1 John 3:1 NLT
Brought to mind, my dad and I our relationship. He doesn't want anything else accept to receive my love in return. God doesn't ask for anymore than who we are. Children of God. Like when I heard them from God, I had an image of my own father squatting down with arms wide open and with a huge smile just waiting for me to run into his arms. It might be tear a lot! <3 During worship, we did something different, there was a part where if God was asking you to lay something down, you lay it in front of the cross. God told me to lay Unworthyness down. My greed, my not enoughness - The root was unworthyness and I needed to proclaim the truth of God's word in my life. During lecture Rachel said this - The only sin you're not forgiven for is the sin u don't want forgiveness for. Forgiveness is for us. Unforgivenness is like drinking poison and wishing for the other to die. Things to really think about. I had one on one with Abigail that day and as we reflected, I came to the conclusion that I want to know Holy spirit as a person instead of just His function. How to tell him apart from Jesus, spiritual authority and father or some sort of energy.
DAY 41 Thursday (16 August) During quiet time, I was asking Holy Spirit... Can I separate holy spirit from the trinity in my mind? He said No, we are one in the same. I reflected and realise that Holy Spirit is wise .. He reminds me of the book of proverbs. He doesn't give the whole picture but he gives nuggets of wisdom to prompt u in the right direction. It was also Sarah’s bday the following day but her birthday table was set up today! So after dinner, we went down to IGA and I bought her fudge!! - Her favourite! :D
DAY 42 Friday (17 August) During Quiet Time, Holy Spirit convicted me to apologise to David and Abigail about being pushy for the newsletter to get out. David was under the pump to get ready to Camp and I wasn’t a little fustrated that I was trying so hard to get the newsletter out earlier in hopes, to get our info out to send to others and see if we could finish our funding! I had no time to edit the night before so I went to the base early this morning. After I ate breakfast, I went back to the dorm and felt that I needed to kneel and thank God for David, Abigail - they sacrifice so much to staff the DTS and all I was doing was a newsletter. I apologised to them as well and thanked them for their hard work! :) Today was also application day, we repented and made right with people. It was like repentance week all over again. We also had a choice to go up to Randy (Trust Fall), Cristine(Breaking Generational Curses) and Rachel(Receiving of gifts of the holy spirit - tongues etc). I prayed and felt like I needed to do the trust fall. I feel that I trust God but still not completely. You’d have to climb up this stack of chairs and shout God I trust you (as a public declaration) and fall backwards. Randy would catch you. It was hard for me because I am afraid of heights and when I got on, the stack of chairs almost toppled. But I did it anyway and I felt like a burden lift. I also got to pray for Karmen and Emma for healing so that was cool! They got healed by the Holy Spirit. It was also Evangelism day, so Alex and I paired up. She asked me if I just wanted to stand along the street and shout out my testimony. I must say fear really gripped me. I didn’t feel prepared for it. So we walked on, I was praying all along the way. God was saying.. Do you trust me? I said yes. Then do you know I have good thoughts towards these people? I said Yes I do. Then He said, all I want you to do is share My love for them. And I said ok. We did talk to a couple of people. Prayed for some. I was prompted by this lady so was a little disorientated. But I beckon her to come to me after she had walked away and I asked her if I could pray for God’s love on her and she said yes. And I prayed. We also talked to this chatty lady along the street and we talked with her for a good 1 hr 30mins. She was very concerned about her friend and the Holy Spirit prompted her to ask us about the friend in question. Surprisingly, the answers we gave her were based on what we had learnt during the week. About, how choosing sin is saying no to God. and if she is a follower of Christ, she must choose. In the end, we had dinner together and went back to base. I had time to finish my journal and went for friday service. The dude, Mark talked about the Hebrew education system and greek education system. That was interesting!
DAY 43-44 Saturday & Sunday (18-19 August) CAMPING TRIP!!! We brought our stuff to the auditorium at 9am and had breakfast. Packed and left, reached about 11ish? Just before Lunch, Emma Leonie and I went for a walk - we found money on the floor, saw some horses and made friends with the doggie who lives in the opposite house. Little did we know, the dog followed us back to the campsite. Ben had to bring him back to the neighbour hahaa! We had a quick lunch and went down the childow town centre - hung there til about 4ish. Came back for dinner and played capture the flag. It was very fun but at the same time, Tim got a broken collarbone, Kate scrapped her knee, Jonathan split his toenail, Kevin scrapped his knee and so did Noemi. After that, we sat by the campfire which was so good because it was literally freezing that night. After that, showered and slept like a log.
Woke up really early at 7am the next morning, freshen up and walked around the campsite, smelling the fresh air and admiring God’s creation. I was a little concerned about our finances for outreach and God says to lean on me for the finances. So I said okay I will. We had breakfast and I was on breakfast clean up duty. After that, Leonie and I walked to the Lake! It was beautiful, on the way we saw these little duckies and also got to pat some horses. That was fun. After that, we came for lunch and started to pack away our stuff. We also had to clean up the campsite. I was on toilet cleaning duty. Unfortunately for me, someone had taken a huge dung and it clogged the toilet... so guess who had to unclog it? Yes, yours truly. We packed and left. The heat was crazy though and throughout the whole trip I sat on the sunny side. After coming back to the 228, I literally put on my sheets back and changed and took a one hr nap. It was sooooo gooood.. then I came back to base for dinner and finished up this online journal! :D
Highlights from the Weekend below!!

Len Pattersons 2017 NFL 1st Round Mock Draft Follow me on Twitter @lendoggy_80
1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M All signs point to the Browns selecting Garrett here. He is a game changing end that the Browns hope can deliver 15-20 sacks per year. Denver has shown that you can win games with an elite defence and this is a piece to build around for the Browns. With no clear #1 QB in this draft, Cleveland is left taking the best prospect available. You would have to think if there is a QB the Browns fall in love with they are hoping he falls to them at 12, or they use an extra pick to move up from 12 to get him earlier. Keep in mind; they could be planning on packaging pick 12 and then some, to try to get Jimmy Garoppolo from New England.
2. San Francisco 49ers: Jamal Adams, S, LSU I know everyone is predicting Solomon Thomas the end from Stanford here but I disagree. The 49ers have used their last 2 first round picks on the Defensive Line with the boys from Oregon. With Aaron Lynch, Armstead and Buckner I would hope those guys can create enough pressure for the secondary to make some plays as is. Eric Reid who is often injured is a fine big hitting Safety but I think the 49ers should go with a playmaker here. Adams has been compared to Ed Reed, and as I don’t see him being an all-around hall of famer like Reed, Adams is still a player that can change the game with INTS and forced fumbles plus an ability to cover. A possible Defensive rookie of the year candidate, Adams is 2nd pick in this year’s draft.
3. Chicago Bears: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama O.J Howard is the best pass catcher in the entire draft in my opinion. If you are the Bears, you found Jordan Howard, you signed Mike Glennon and lost Alshon Jeffrey. In order to win, they will need to surround Glennon with another weapon or two. Howard’s stock has been rising and he is a safe security blanket for the new QB in Chicago. I don’t see the value in a Defensive Lineman here as they have a few good young pieces in Bullard and Floyd from last year’s draft.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU The Jaguars are going to stand behind Blake Bortles for at least one more season. Surrounding him with enough talent to win has been hit or miss for the Jaguars as of late. They brought in a whole bunch of above average pass catchers but the one thing the Jags have been missing since MJD and Fred Taylor is an effective run game. As I am not as high on Fournette as some are, you can’t deny his production at LSU. He was an absolute beast, and if he can turn those 3rd and 9s into 3rd and 3s the Jaguars, again, could be a dark horse to win the AFC south. Their defence is loaded with young productive players and I don’t think it makes sense to add another top tier defensive prospect with all the high picks they’ve spent in previous years.
5. Tennessee Titans: Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State The Titans have built a pretty decent roster throughout the draft in recent years. Focusing on the offensive side of the ball has been working, but if they want to make the jump to winning division titles they will need to address the defence. With no stand out stars, other than an aging Brian Orakpo, and the recent departure of Jason McCourty the Titans will want a top tier CB to cover the likes of Allen Robinson, T.Y Hilton and DeAndre Hopkins. Lattimore can cover zone and man, and has above average ball skills. He is a perfect pick for a team knocking on the playoffs door, but missing a few key pieces on their defence.
6. New York Jets: Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina What are the Jets doing? Are they rebuilding? Are they making a playoff push? Is Josh Mccowan any type of answer? They release Brandon Marshall, but keep Matt Forte? There is nothing positive coming out of New Jersey regarding Petty or Hackenburg that suggests they are “the guy” for the Jets. The Jets hate playing second fiddle to the Giants in New York, therefore I see them selecting Trubisky here. He is the QB with the most upside in my opinion, having only started 13 games at Carolina. He has a live arm, great size and above average speed. If the Jets can let him guy sit for a season and develop they could end up with their much needed franchise QB.
7. Los Angeles Chargers: Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford The Chargers offence has been pretty good with a steady Rivers, and Keenan Allen should be back for the season opener. Although there is a need for offensive line, there is no one with enough value to grab here at 7. I could see the Chargers trading out of this spot for a team looking to move up to grab a QB, but if LA stays here I think they will go best player available and draft Soloman Thomas. Bosa was a breakout player for them last year and no one projected him going to the Chargers. I see them adding another versatile defensive lineman to the mix and the Chargers are building a roster based on the Broncos model.
8. Carolina Panthers: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State The Panthers have invested a lot of money into their front 4, they still have their top linebackers and when they made it to the Super Bowl, they had a great secondary. Hooker is a playmaker in the back end, can cover, hit and attack the football. I can’t remember the last great safety for the Panthers, and they are hoping they can get pressure on the QB so Hooker can make plays like he did at Ohio State. They will be tempted to take Dalvin Cook here, as the Panthers have old, often injured Jon Stewart, but there are plenty of running backs to take on day 2.
9. Cincinnati Bengals: Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama The Bengals have lost a lot of talent the last couple years and the when the Bengals are most dominant it’s when Peko, Geno Atkins and Dunlap are going full throttle. Atkins hasn’t been the same since he tore up his knee a few seasons ago and Dunlap has a few years left playing at an elite level. Allen will give the Bengals versatility to stuff the run and rush the passer. Type “Jonathan Allen Superman” into youtube and you will see why this guy is going to be a top 10 pick. Some are worried about his shoulder injury, but Allen is a top 5 prospect, if he slips the Bengals should pull the trigger here.
10. Buffalo Bills: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama Buffalo hired a new coach this year and with that I could see the Bills trying to build their defence the way Sean Mcdermott did in Carolina. The front seven played pretty well last year and they sunk their first two picks last year into the front 7 as well. With losing Gilmore this offseason to the Patriots I could see the Bills taking the top corner available in Humphrey. Carolinas defence played its best with Josh Norman, and while I’m not saying Humphrey is the next Norman, he does have similar traits. Humphrey is a polished prospect that doesn’t shy away from hits. He would be a day one starter for the Bills, who need secondary help.
11. New Orleans Saints: Christian McCaffrey, RB/WR, Stanford The Saints only have one or two more years left with Drew Brees and they will go as far as he will take them. The Saints lost a lot of versatility when Darren Sproles departed few years ago and they traded Jimmy Graham and Brandon Cooks. If the Saints want to help Brees out they should take McCaffrey, the do it all RB from Stanford. McCaffrey has some of the best hands in the draft and can be a weapon out of the back field for Brees and the Saints. Mark Ingram has some miles on him and they recently let Tim Hightower walk. McCaffrey has been moving up draft boards and I think this is a sneaky high value pick for the Saints and their offence.
12. Cleveland Browns: Kevin King, CB, Washington It’s hard to tell what the Browns are thinking here at pick 12. I don’t think Watson or Kizer are worthy of a top 12 pick, and I don’t see the Browns reaching on a QB just because they “have to.” Regardless of what QB they select in this draft he is going to have to wait. Kevin Kings stock has shot up since his pro day. The Browns are using a lot of analytics to draft recently and the value and players at linebacker don’t add up here and they already will take a D end if my predictions are correct. Joe Haden might have convert to safety and the Browns still have to cover Antonio Brown and AJ Green.
13. Arizona Cardinals: John Ross, WR, Washington The Cardinals are convinced Carson Palmer is still a productive QB and can lead them to the playoffs. If this is the case they will need to add another weapon on offense. Another player whose stock has risen is John Ross, largely due to running a 4.22 in the 40 at the combine; everyone has moved Ross up the board. Bruce Arians loves to run deep routes and there is no one more suited to take the top off a defence than Ross. With John Brown and Ross on the outside and Larry Fitz in the slot, it will be up to Palmer to get them back atop the NFC West.
14. Philadelphia Eagles: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State The Eagles secondary was poor last year, as the Leodis Mckelvin experiment didn’t work out and as the year went on their secondary continued to get exposed. It’s hard to pass on Mike Williams and Corey Davis here but the Eagles did a nice job surrounding Wentz with weapons signing Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffrey to help him develop. Conley is another great prospect in Ohio States back end that can help right away in the nickle with a plan to start him in the future.
15. Indianapolis Colts: Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State The Colts defence has been underperforming for a couple years but it will be hard for them to pass on a top tier running back here. Cook is a work horse that can take some of the pressure away from Luck. The Colts have plenty of holes to fill but the most important thing is to give as much help as they can to Luck with a skill position. I don’t understand trading away Dwayne Allen but they still have plenty of pass catchers. Colts will need to address the defence later on in the draft.
16. Baltimore Ravens: Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan The Ravens have always tried to have an elite defence. With Suggs aging and injury prone they need an end that can get to the QB and also stop the run. Charlton has moved up boards the last couple weeks and with the Harbaugh connection the Ravens will get all the inside information they need to draft Taco here. Charlton can learn from one of the greats and be a plug and play guy for the Ravens. If they want to be at the top of the AFC North they will have to get to Big Ben and knock him down.
17. Washington Redskins: Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama The first offensive lineman comes off the board late this year. The Redskins have had a decent offensive line for the last couple seasons but I think this is a perfect fit for the Skins. Robinson can kick into guard this year and learn from Trent Williams for the move outside in the next couple years. Williams is getting older, injured and suspended so it’s always a good idea to have a solid project for the years to come and a just in case Tackle if something was to happen to Williams during the course of the year. The Skins will only go as far Cousins will take them and they need to keep him healthy and upright.
18. Tennessee Titans: Mike Williams, WR, Clemson I think the Titans will be holding their breath for Williams or Davis to fall to them. Marriota has done a fantastic job with the mediocre wide outs he has been given thus far and here is the chance to give him a true #1 WR. Williams didn’t run at the combine due to thoughts that his QB Desaun Watson would run faster than he would, but, when Williams ran at his pro day he quelled all the concerns. Williams has above average straight line speed, can win one on ones and is a great hands catcher that will go up top over corners for the completion. Williams will be a great redzone complement with Delanie Walker to help Marriota become an elite QB we all hope he becomes.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee The Bucs have built a pretty good roster the last couple of years and found a couple good defensive players later in the draft. The one thing the Bucs are missing though is an elite defensive end. Gerald Mccoy would love this pick to take some of the attention off of him in the middle. If the Bucs want to make the next step this would be a great pick to help out the defence that is tasked to slow down Newton, Brees and Ryan.
20. Denver Broncos: Haason Reddick, LB, Temple More defence for Denver? The Broncos have lost Demarcus Ware and Malik Jackson from the Defensive line and have had some injuries at linebacker. Reddick is a do it all linebacker from Temple that can rush the pass and showed great coverage at the Senior Bowl. Reddicks stock probably increased the most from the Senior Bowl and is riding it all the way into the top 20. Reddick looks like a kid that could step in and start right away, a three down linebacker that can bring the Broncos defence back to an elite level.
21. Detroit Lions: Reuben Foster, LB, Alabama The slide ends here, as Foster who is considered a top 10 pick makes his way to pick 21. Foster had a strange encounter while at the combine and didn’t work out there either. There are also injury concerns around Foster. The Lions will go with the best available player and also fill a need at linebacker. They lost Deandre Levy and Foster can fill that hole. A value here for the Lions as Foster could be a 3 down backer that play sideline to sideline.
22. Miami Dolphins: Jabrill Peppers, S/LB, Michigan The hate for Peppers has gone too far! Peppers, who is one of the most versatile players in the draft was a weapon on offense and special teams at Michigan during his time there. Miami’s offense looks set with pass catchers and the emergence of Jay Ajayi so they should take Peppers to boost the defensive side. Kiki Alonso played well at linebacker last year but Peppers is the type of player that you can stick on the field and he can make plays covering WRs, TEs and RBs.
23. New York Giants: Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt The Giants have spent a lot of money on defense in free agency last year and it paid off. I could see the Giants selecting a running back here if one of the top 3 fall, but if not they need to build up there line backing core as their defensive line and secondary are set. Giants could use a sideline to sideline backer to bring their defence to an elite status and contend for a Super Bowl this year.
24. Oakland Raiders: David Njoku, TE, Miami Al Davis will be smiling with this pick. David Njoku is just the type of prospect Al loved. This guy is an absolute freak, a wide receiver in a tight ends body. He is super-fast, has great hands, runs well and is a playmaker. Who better to surround David Carr with, but an impressive tight end to complement Crabtree, Patterson and Cooper on the outside? The Raiders are a serious Super Bowl contender and a team the Patriots will have to be scared of moving forward with such an explosive offence.
25. Houston Texans: Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin I don’t think there is any way the Texans take a quarterback here, there’s a slim chance they take Desaun Watson as he is the most ready to play. I say that because the Texans already have a Super Bowl caliber defence and that was without JJ Watt last season. Clowney has developed into a top end and there are so many first round picks on defense they are set. They just need a QB, as there isn’t much of a future with Tom Savage. Tony Romo would have made them a threat, but if the Texans are confident with their QB situation then they must protect him. The Texans have had injuries on their offensive line for years and Duane Brown is aging. Ramczyk played one year at Wisconsin and was a beast, a kid you could start at right tackle as a rookie with the thoughts of moving him to the left side as Duane Brown moves on in his career.
26. Seattle Seahawks: Garett Bolles, OT, Utah The Seahawks have had offensive line troubles since Russell Wilson started playing QB there. It’s time to put together a solid line unit for Wilson to get them back into the Super Bowl. The Seahawks signed former 2nd overall pick Luke Joeckle to play guard and I think a nice pick would be Bolles to start at tackle for them this year. Seahawks should have some good information coming from a west coast school and Pete should still have some connections with some of the west coast guys to give info on the physical mammoth Bolles. Russell Wilson approves of this pick.
27. Kansas City Chiefs: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan If Corey Davis slides past pick 12-15 I could see him dropping into the late 20s. A guy that was hot at the end of the college football season, he has done nothing to enhance his stock or cement it. Davis has been hurt and with a small school prospect teams haven’t gotten a real gauge on how good he is with a combine or pro day. Cheifs found a gem in Tyreke Hill last year but Chris Conley hasn’t developed and what happened to Jeremy Maclin? The run game is always good with Andy Reid and Alex Smith has a few years left, so I see them adding Davis to the outside as a nice complement to the pieces they already have.
28. Dallas Cowboys: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida If Jarred Davis didn’t suffer an injury late in the Gators season I could see him rivaling as the top linebacker in the draft. Can anyone remember who the Cowboys linebackers are after oft-injured Sean Lee? The Cowboys defence over achieved last year playing with a lead all season, and when they needed to stop the Packers in the playoffs the Packers marched down the field, twice, to score and win. We all know that Rod Marineli only needs bodies on the defensive line and he will churn out above average performance. Davis is a side line to side line big hitting linebacker that will complement Sean Lee perfectly, as both great run stuffers and two tough guys that would be great to keep in the game when playing the nickle.
29. Green Bay Packers: T.J. Watt, DE/OLB, Wisconsin Packers jersey sales soar as the Packers select a Badger AND he’s a Watt! The Packers continue to select ends and linebackers in the top of the draft for years, with some hitting and some flopping. Watt has huge potential and could be perfect to come off the edge leaving Clay to roam as he has done for years now. If TJ is anything like JJ in his work ethic I can see this guy developing into a double digit sack player.
30. Pittsburgh Steelers: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson The QB slide ends here! Did anyone really think Big Ben was going to retire? With enough money in the bank and Ben taking huge hits over his career you could see him retiring after one more big injury or after another Super Bowl run this season. Watson is a winner and spending a year or two behind Ben could really help him develop, as it seems like every year we see Landry Jones come in for a couple games and look below average. Watson is someone I could see come in this season in spot duty and win some games. The Steelers have a championship roster and I think this is the year they set themselves up for the future.
31. Atlanta Falcons: Takkarist McKinley, DE/OLB, UCLA It’s hard to say that the Falcons have a huge need as they essentially won the Super Bowl if they didn’t blow it late in the game. Dan Quin has built a solid defense with his time there and Beasley did what they thought he would coming out of Clemson. This could be a best available pick here and another weapon for the Falcons on the defensive side to come off the edge and help stop the run. McKinley is a raw prospect and could be a steal of a pick with the idea he plays 40% of snaps rushing the passer on 3rd downs.
32. New Orleans Saints: Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida The Saints acquired this pick with the Brandon Cooks trade to the Patriots. With rumors of the Saints trying to trade for Malcom Butler or Richard Sherman it sounds like they want a Corner. Wilson has the perfect blend of size and speed to play man coverage for the Saints. With Pick 11 the Saints take someone to help Drew Brees score 35 points a game, and this pick will help the Saints stop the team from hopefully scoring 40. I see Wilson as a day one starter on the outside.
Closing remarks:
The 2017 Draft feels loaded with prospects, there were another 10-20 players I could see going in the first round past pick 16. This is the year to trade down. Here are some prospects I could see going in the first round come April 27th.
Forrest Lamp, G/C, Western Kentucky Charles Harris, DE/OLB, Missouri Adoree Jackson, CB/KR, USC Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame Tre'Davious White, CB, LSU Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA Pat Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida Budda Baker, S, Washington Malik McDowell, DE/DT, Michigan State Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina

Your HQ for quick updates throughout college football’s first-ever Early Signing Period
College football recruiting now has an important series of dates in the middle of December. Let’s keep track of the biggest stuff below.
From Dec. 20 through 22, an unknowable percentage of college football recruits will sign with their destination schools all across the country. This has never happened before. A whole extra National Signing Day or three!
Let’s keep up with all this via five quick sections.
1. The Early Signing what?
College football’s traditional National Signing Day for incoming freshmen remains the first Wednesday in February, but the NCAA’s added a three-day period in mid-December as well. This first time around, everyone’s flying blind.
Coaches entered the week working frantically amid staff changes and bowl preparation, basically expecting the far majority of their commitments to sign, while there have always been clear concerns about how this will impact most players. And ESPNU’s NSD-style coverage will be limited to just a handful of commit announcements:
Wednesday, ~2:30 p.m. ET: OT Cade Mays to Clemson, Georgia, or Ohio State
~3 p.m. ET: DE Brenton Cox to Alabama, Georgia, or Ohio State
~3:30 p.m. ET: CB Anthony Cook to LSU, Ohio State, or Texas
~4 p.m. ET: DE K.J. Henry to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina, or Virginia Tech
Friday, ~3:30 p.m. ET: WR Terrace Marshall Jr. to FSU, LSU, Texas, or Texas A&M
That means you’re leaning on the internet more than ever before! Check in with your school’s SB Nation site, IMO.
2. The biggest news so far
Lots of expected signatures are rolling in across the country, but we’ll add the major commitments, flips, and surprises here.
2015’s No. 3 overall recruit, Auburn DE Byron Cowart, is transferring to Maryland.
Four-star WR Elijah Moore flips to Ole Miss from Georgia and signs.
3. The updated top 10 classes
(If that’s not loading for you, the full rankings are here.)
4. The status of the 247Sports Composite’s top 100 2018 recruits
We’ll be updating this section as signatures roll in, with expected announcement times in parentheses and signees in bold.

5. Does all this even matter all that much?
Oh, absolutely. At this point, there’s little doubt that recruiting rankings are worthwhile at the big-picture level, despite those (wonderful!) success stories that always spring to mind about two-stars overcoming the odds and getting drafted in the first round.
They matter at the player level. Blue chips are almost 1,000 percent more likely to be drafted in the first round. You can see the star ratings drop throughout the NFL draft. And five-stars are about 33 times as likely to be All-Americans as two-stars are.
They matter at the team level. Matt Hinton broke the country into five tiers of recruiting might, finding the higher-recruiting schools to consistently beat their lessers virtually across the board.
They matter at the championship level. Every national champion of the ratings era has passed a specific recruiting benchmark, as Bud Elliott’s Blue-Chip Ratio annually demonstrates.
There are major exceptions, duh, like CMU’s Eric Fisher, who went from being a 240-pound two-star to a 306-pound No. 1 pick — hard to expect national rankings to predict a player to gain 66 quality pounds in college. Bill Connelly, who's way smarter than me, still finds them highly valuable, despite obvious flaws.
Perfection shouldn't be the standard, though. Especially since the four big services get better during the course of a year and more accurate from year to year. Just Rate The Bama Croots Highly has been a winning strategy, for one.
At the anecdotal level, let's take a look at how all of college football would've changed if one recruit, five-star Tim Tebow, had chosen differently. See how much one commit mattered?
