to be clear, Im an RTD stan knowing he's a messy boomer gay and that loudness is exactly what this show needed after the previous era. I'd rather that then the tepid approach the previous era took towards its bigots. my man wrote in a "did you just assume their pronouns joke" that didnt make we want to kill myself instantly and that deserves praise ngl. did i find the end about the doctor understanding as a woman cringe as fuck? yes. I'd rather doctor who be boldly misguided than silent. especially in the climate in british news media in relation to trans women in particular.

the fact there wasnt a series 11 episode dealing with the new expectations of the doctor as a women, calling out the so called "fans" for believing she was any different was such a missed opportunity i think. it also would have probably given 13 some actual strong characterization
