The keys to the expansion of the CJNG in Tamaulipas
Despite the fact that local authorities have denied the presence of the El Mencho organization, new evidence indicates otherwise The reported clashes between factions of the Gulf Cartel (CDG) and Los Zetas Vieja Escuela, also revealed the possible expansion that the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) plans in its drug and fentanyl trafficking to the United States. In late April, the Los…

I watched a movie last night on Netflix called TRAFFIK.
I thought if was about drug trafficking but based on true events it was about human trafficking. Hubby asked what I thought about it. I said No Coincidence.
Netflix is under white hat control.
Have you seen it?

I didn't bother to look into exactly what Faux News spewed about it this time but likely nothing new.
There's been a recent upsurge in fent related issues at the main Mulnomah County library in downtown Portland and it's been in the news recently along with the rise in the homeless population, so I'm guessing that partly fueled this round of blathering from them.
They looooove to trot out the narrative that since the protests, Portland is a bombed out wasteland overtaken by Antifa. Add in the fact that a well intentioned but woefully under thought bill to decriminalize drugs was passed (and then repealed) and you get "Portland is a lawless hellscape run by Anitifa anarchists who want to turn libraries into homeless camp s*x traffiking drug dens!!!!"
So Fox News ran a story about how they think libraries are turning into drug-infested sex dens and I am shocked, shocked that I was never offered any drugs during my 15+ years working in libraries.

ATLANTA, HIDDEN IN THE CITY, the walking dead.
Every city has a distinct skyline like the face of every person has a distinct facial contour and as all life has a distinct history from the moment of conception, so does Atlanta. Marcus Saykey is going to tell us all 3 things about the city as he goes along following in the footsteps of 3 incidents that have occurred in Atlanta for his research as a crime novelist.

The General.
The General is a 1926 American silent film. It was inspired by the Great Locomotive Chase, a true story of an event that occurred during the American Civil War. The story was adapted from the 1889 memoir The Great Locomotive Chase by William Pittenger. The film stars Buster Keaton, who co-directed it with Clyde Bruckman.
It was box-office flop.
The General has since been reevaluated, and is now often ranked among the greatest American films ever made. In 1989, it was selected by the Library of Congress to be included in the first class of films for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Police searching Barton's home in nearby Stockbridge found the bodies of his second wife and the two children from his first marriage, murdered by hammer blows inflicted before the shooting spree started. According to a note left at the scene by Barton, his wife was killed on July 27 before the children were on the following day. Barton was believed to be motivated by large financial losses incurred during the previous two months.

Traffic is a 2000 American crime drama film directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Stephen Gaghan. The film explores the illegal drug trade from several perspectives: users, enforcers, politicians, and traffickers. Their stories are edited together throughout the film, although some characters do not meet each other. The film is an adaptation of the 1989 British Channel 4 television series Traffik. It features both English and Spanish-language dialogue.
Traffic earned numerous awards, including four Oscars: Best Director for Steven Soderbergh, Best Supporting Actor for Benicio del Toro, Best Adapted Screenplay for Stephen Gaghan and Best Film Editing for Stephen Mirrione. It was also a commercial success.
In 2004, USA Network ran a miniseries—also called Traffic—based on the film and the 1989 British television series.

The Routledge Companion
Chapter 34
Lately, the obsession with Narcos and cartels have been unbelievably trendy. I remember looking at tiktoks where young women were obsessing over El Chapo’s son but in all reality they forget how horrible it is to be in constant fear because of the cartels. I have been seeing how tv shows are glamourising and romanticizing cartels and it is beyond what people can imagine. I have not gone to visit my family in Mexico for more than 10 years because of how overpowered cartels are in our area. More and more we are seeing how this lifestyle is influencing the media from tv shows to music. We are seeing more and more violence everyday and the romanticizing of it in the media but they never seem to speak on the reasons why many people in Mexico are suffering. I have yet to hear more about the War On Drugs other than the small introduction in the show Narcos on Netflix. I have yet to hear more about how our current gun control policies in the U.S. has made it easier to distribute military grade arms to the cartels. I have yet to hear more about how the U.S. has not taken ownership of the mistakes it has made that has harmed other countries and has caused push and pull factors in the flow of migration throughout the years. But yet here we are, glamourising and romanticizing the corruption and violence that comes with cartels.

First Bloodlines run - here’s how it worked out!
Didn’t get to actually finish - thanks, cutscene glitch - but I got to the last scene and I at least watched the Anarch ending on Youtube XD;; While I really do want to do at least two more runs, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to; either way, I mostly enjoyed my first run a ton!
More detail below the cut - how Sierra turned out as protag, and her views on other characters. I’ll write a separate ‘thoughts on Bloodlines as a game and its characters’ later on, this is just for Sierra’s run specifically.
So, Sierra as a character! Usually super high humanity - most drops were due to glitches or completely accidental (glitch - had to kill Hospital Guy because it flat-out wouldn’t let him escape, danced it back. Accidental - shot one of the hostages at Hollowbrook, felt horrible for it). One non-accidental one was convincing Ash to switch clothes with a guy at the club; she hadn’t expected the hunters to kill first and ask questions later. Yeah, also felt guilty about it. Otherwise, I’m pretty happy to put her at 9 for Humanity - she tried to help everyone she could, aside from those actively trying to kill her.
Ended up a much brainier character than I was expecting, which, uh, is usually what happens with my characters tbh. Still fits her character! She’s not scholarly (was a college drop-out) and prefers actually doing things than sitting still, but she’s clever and curious. Combat was usually almost always melee, because vampires with katanas are cool. High persuasion, she’s good at defusing a situation when fighting isn’t warranted.
Most-used discipline ended up being Animalism. Never did max out Protean :( Did use it a ton in dark areas, but mostly for night vision.
Sidequests - got a lot done. Failed three - Spiritual Release (sorry, ghosts :( ), You Only Die Once A Night (actually, I started this then died with 30 seconds to go, reset, and refused to start it again XD), and Dirty Dishes.
Missed or outright avoided Drug Trip, Trick or Treatment (Heather - the whole storyline with her bugs me), Daydream Believer (Copper is sweet, dammit, don't be mean!!), Replanting a Lily (never went back to the clinic after saving Lily), Traffik, And Her Name Was Venus/Venucide, Pimpin' for Romero, A Dish Best Served Cold (alas, you can’t convince the reviewer to give it a ragingly good review just to piss off SparklingWater XD), Model Citizen/Cover Girl, Poster Session, and all the Chinatown ones (I would have done Gone Fishin' if I had found it, refused Eye Gouge Hell, didn't encounter the others).
Character interactions - ended up ride-or-die Anarch. Part of that was that her literal first impressions were of Nines saving her life and Jack guiding her through how to survive a terrifying, bewildering situation, a lot of it was that she did start out as an activist in the first place, so falling in with the Anarchs was a natural continuation of that. Adores and looks up to Nines, felt horrifically guilty at the blood hunt, and was devastated when she thought he had died at Griffith Park. She was a mess after that (also a good part to do with rotschreck and spending a good five minutes or so trying really hard not to frenzy in terror), and it was only because of Jack that she didn’t fall apart completely. Jack is like the favourite weird uncle - she doesn’t know his involvement in the whole plot and I think wouldn’t quite understand why he set it in motion, but she really likes the impression he shows. Adores Damsel, and she’s not sure what to do with Skelter’s belief in the more religious aspects of stuff but likes him a lot too.
Aside from Nines, the other character she adores the most is Beckett! Her first words to him were literally, “Holy shit how did you do that that’s so cool can you teach me to do that?!”, she finds his adventures and knowledge absolutely fascinating, and she definitely started looking up archeological and anthropological stuff both for her own curiosity and to impress him XD
Other positive relationships - Jeanette is a bit complicated because of the whole Slashterpiece and pendant thing, but damn, at least she didn’t try to kill her like Therese did; while she wanted to reconcile the sisters, she was kind of relieved when Jeanette was the one who survived. Just found her more approachable and welcoming. Also definitely got drawn in by VV. She’s weak for pretty girls XD Got on great with Merc (despite the whole... Cammy thing), Knox, the Thinblood kids (who she hung out with a bunch while still in Santa Monica), Trip, Mitnick, and Ash (who she will fight people to protect). Chunk is a precious being who must be protected at all costs; at the Tower, she advised him that LaCroix was no good and he deserved better.
Complicated situations - initially did think Strauss was okay but her views on him soured fast when she learned about gargoyles. Isaac is mostly fine but they don’t have a lot of common ground, given her preferred genre is ‘loud action movies’ XD She can see why VV looks up to him, though, and felt quite sad about everything with Ash in general. Pisha scared her but she tried really hard not to judge, basically? I mean, predators gotta eat too... The cab driver bothers her for reasons she can’t articulate. Very odd man, that one. When she learned why the Southland Slasher was doing what he was doing, she felt sorry for him, and encouraged him to join the Anarchs for direction and a more positive outlet for his emotions.
Antagonists - mostly didn’t take pleasure in killing them, but she definitely felt pretty satisfied stabbing LaCroix >.> Will have nightmares for the rest of her unlife about Andrei’s house and the sanctum at Hollowbrook, the Mandarin’s tests, and the expression on Ash’s face when he talked about how much the Society of Leopold enjoyed torturing him. Gimble freaked her the hell out. And if she ever catches Vandal Cleaver alone, she’s going to flat-out kill him if she gets the opportunity.
For the future, I’ve been trying to work out how she and Lettow supposedly know each other (he mentions the fledgling as ‘a friend of mine’), given their opposing political views. I’m thinking their common ground would be that they’re both Gangrel; I can see them meeting by chance at some point, and Sierra requesting tutoring in Protean forms, which Lettow is pretty damn good at (she might be higher generation, 8th to his 9th, but he’s a lot older and more experienced).
Beyond that, info on her and her coterie can be found here! Yes, she fully appreciates the irony of dating a Garou, haha.

The Hacker: Real or Not?
I decided to talk a little about my Slasher OC: The Hacker also known by his other pseudonims: Erron, Cyber Killer, ERROR 666.
The first question about any slasher is: What makes him scary?
Despite the fact that I’ve created supranatural characters like Dave Anthony and Samuel Grayson, my favorite type of scary is the one that gives you the impression that everything is real or it can be real at some point.
I think what’s really scary about the Hacker is that as his name states, he can be real. Hackers are as real as you, me and everyone who reads this. What’s not scary about a stranger than invades your privacy, because that’s what he does; stalks, gains all information about you, name, age, your location, even hack into your webcam (one of the many reasons for why I cover mine, after all Mark Zuckerberg does it, so why not us too?). Nowadays, it’s pretty easy to hack on someones phone, PC etc. with all the information on the internet (and the deep web).
Violation of privacy is the most disturbing thing ever, because we all have our secrets and the Hacker uses these secrets to get what he wants; no wonder he knows where you’ve been yesterday at 4:25 pm.
Why the internet and the virtual world?
In the 80s, most slashers were put into locations like small towns and camps (the real world), because back in those times the internet was still under constructions, and not everyone could afford computers, let alone the fact that smartphones were just a dream, but now?
We are literally living our lives on the internet. I have to ask you: How much time do you spend on the internet? Much more than in the real world, that I assure you. The internet, a perfect place to buy whatever you want, be whoever you want and of course, HUNT. That’s what the Hacker does, he is an online predator and if you take everything for granted, you might fall into his trap.
Just an urban legend?
If you are fascinated by hackers, you might known about the deep web or better say the dark web. I read a lot of forums about what really is there (not everything evil, but there are some sick shit out there) and I even surfed the deep web myself (for informational purpose only).
I took my time and wrote down below some basic ‘distubing’ stuff that there is in the dark corners of the internet.
Warning: Gore, Death, Disturbing themes. BEWARE.
I’m gonna be short on this and say that you can find inside anything you could possibly think of down from full markets that sell illegal weapons and drugs to even humans. Traffiking isn’t something unknown nowadays and dark web has plenty of it; think about it like an Amazon of Deep Web. EVERYTHING.
Going back to my character, the Hacker who sells his skills into hacking for a fat load of money, that’s what you can find on deep web: Need a Hacker to break into someones PC company or just simply your lovers phone? Hire a Hacker, there are plenty of it.
Ever seen movies with Hitmen? That’s another thing you can hire on the darkweb. Need someone to be killed or evaporated from earth? With a price of measure you can have it done, while you’re sitting with your friends eating lunch.
Illegal porn. That’s pretty basic on the deepweb, because that shit is fucked up and the visible internet will bane it imidiatley. I don’t want to go into details, because it’s a sensitive subject, but...There have been real cases where the fantasies became real. A very much real and sick to the core shit was Daisy’s Destruction. If you want more information just simply search it, but I warn you, it’s very disturbing. Other associations with gore were Violent Desires, Hurt2TheCore and No Limits Fun.
RedRoom’s.....Probably the most sickest things ever; most say it’s just urban legend, but....are we really sure?
What is a RedRoom on the Dark Web?
I’m gonna talk about it more, because that’s what my character, the Hacker, does.
Red room is the website where viewer is shown video on his demand. It generally contains explicit harassment and torture of subject by some person of evil intention. First intended viewer will send the email id to website owner. Then website owner will send them the link to pay the charges. User will pay the money and in return will get the access to enter into website. User will use that password and live cam show will be shown to the viewer where some person whose face is hidden behind the mask will show the subjects. The user will demand some action to be done with subjects and that action can be torture, cutting body parts, even torture to death. The higher the torture more the money demanded. Pretty terrifying, huh?
Now, I never tried to figure out if they are real or not, because in order to be a spectator, you have to pay up (0.1 BTC which means 925,85 euro at this very moment). Plus, it’s pretty dangerous and like other people advised; DO NOT ENTER A RED ROOM.
So, yes, the Hacker does what I stated up.
The UNKNOWN
This is a part with two cuts, one which is that us humans are fascinated by the unknown and curious, then the other part, the FEAR. We are afraid by the unknown by nature.
Remember in our childhood that we were afraid to go into the water because we didn’t know how to swim or because we didn’t know what’s deep in there?
What’s not frightening about a stranger with a creepy mask? I do say so myself that I would be scared, especially because you cannot predict what he will do. The Hacker is a very unpredictable character.
That’s one of the reasons I didn’t gave him a certain background story or a specific identity. The UNKNOWN, he can be anyone; your neighbour, the guy that’s working in the electronic shop, a guy you just passed down the streets to work? Endless possibilities.
Now the question is: Is it worth to make a horror movie with him? There are so little horror movies that include the virtual world. I will leave this question out to you to answer. Why make a movie with the Hacker? Is it gonna have an audience boost? Will he become a horror icon? So many questions...
I do hope you enjoyed ready this small article of my Slasher OC.
Oh...And remember...He is always watching you.
#the Hacker#cyber killer#erron#ERROR 666#slasher oc#original character#This is what I wrote after midnight#I shouldn't watch deep web videos at night
