Went to see the lights, it wasn't fully dark yet. But we will go back over Christmas. Every year one of the nursing homes in our community does the trees. Today is Ostomy Awareness Day. In 2013 my mom's bowel ruptured, which led to her having surgery and being fitted with an Ileostomy. In 2016, she had a second surgery, resulting in her ostomy becoming permanent. Many humans around the globe are living with a temporary or permanent ostomy. In many cases an ostomy allows a human to have a healthier, happy life.
