Circulația pe Transalpina, sectorul Rânca – Curpăt, a fost închisă din cauza ninsorii
Circulația rutieră pe Transalpina a fost suspendată pe segmentul dintre Rânca (județul Gorj) și Curpăt (județul Alba), începând de luni, 11 noiembrie 2024, din cauza ninsorilor abundente. we have gone from mclaren being annoyed that max knows the rules too well to them openly admitting lando doesn’t actually know them.
Tumblr media
multiple drivers (including max, charles, esteban) knew exactly what they should do in this situation and turned off their engines.

Dude, F1 has a toxicity problem for sure, but what the fuck is this?
Tumblr media
They're tightening the leash even further against drivers and personnel so they'll have even less room to criticise stewarding decisions, because they're taking their comments as inciting abuse...
This feels like insane overreach, because surely the easiest way to prevent public harassment of race stewards, is to not publicise the stewards panel? We don't need to know that information, only the teams do.

The bias as always, because I remember last year multiple races where lando qualified poorly, but got a good recovery race and that was enough for jornalists to rank him high and give praise
It stinks that a lot of these rankings come from British outlets, because, let me tell you, there is similar heavy bias in Italian, Spanish, Dutch media towards their drivers/teams (and probably elsewhere as well, but those are just some I have noticed). So that is what it is.
But Charles's recovery drive didn't go entirely unnoticed:
“That was a brilliant drive, went unrewarded in the end with rescuing the constructors’ championship. But, Ferrari can rely on this man for a long time.”
Alex Brundle, F1TV on Post-Race Show
"I was watching the TV screens and I saw Charles was P8 after lap one, so I was a little bit nervous!"
Lando Norris post-race, via Motorsport.com
"Clearly the most outstanding drive of Sunday, Leclerc certainly looked like a driver who was fighting with everything he had for his team. His opening lap, passing cars and navigating through the chaos ahead, was among the very best of the season and from that point on he refused to let anyone stand in his way."
Racefans.net
"He has been the goat of opening lap moves since the summer break. He drives so intelligently during the starts."
Reddit user Big_Brief7847
If there is still any doubt for anyone, here is that incredible first lap. Enjoy!

I wonder what George will say about Max's penalty. He's usually very quick to defend the drivers and this was an obvious injustice but the difference is that he had everything to gain from it. Very curious what he says as he's had lots to say this weekend

I'd love to try something different and get everyone who sees this to seriously actually think of a time when their favourite driver fucked up on-track WITHOUT somehow managing to blame it on the FIA/his team/his teammate.
Think of it as an excercise in acknowledging these dudes are real human beings who sometimes do not perform as well as they can. And if you can't think of a time your driver hasn't performed well because of his own mistakes, then you should look into why you're licking the boot of a rich man.

Here's why Daniel getting a three-place penalty for the next race is yet again evidence that the FIA need to review their regulations:
These are the regulations for overtaking under safety car:
Tumblr media
The stewards were right in that Hulkenberg could pass both Lance and Daniel under safety car under Article 55.8 (h), because Lance had crashed into Daniel and they were both cars with obvious problems.
But, glaringly, there is nothing in the regs that state what happens if the car that was passed quickly gets back up to speed and tries to put themselves back into the correct order, which is what you usually do if you get out of order behind the safety car, whether because of pit exits or otherwise.
I'm not saying the stewards could have changed their verdict, but it's only on paper that Daniel had no leg to stand on, because logically, that was his spot and he was very quickly back on Hulk's tail after his wheels hit the ground again. Clearly this is yet another gap in the regs that should have been logically addressed because a situation like this would eventually come up.
It's a similar gap that "stopping on track during qualifying" needed clarification for, and last year, with the 20-place grid drop Carlos suffered for the drain cover that smashed through his car and necessitated changing its components.
Needless to say, a missed gap in the regs causing what would be a logical regaining of a spot to lead to a three-place grid penalty and 2 penatly points for a driver reflects rather more poorly on the FIA regs themselves than the driver who got punted then tried to put himself back where he should have been behind the safety car.

In the Pre-Quali show, Will Buxton and James Hinchcliffe discussed the team orders controversy from today's sprint. I agreed with some of what they were saying, but at the same time I felt they were being a bit too harsh in the way the talked about it. Commentators are allowed too be opinionated, of course, but I was curious to see if anyone else was a bit put off by this, or if I'm just being irrational/oversensitive(sry in advance for it being four mins lol)
#please dont be rude thank you :)#yes i understand team orders and their place within f1 !!!#but they also annoy me and the type of attitude people like the guys in this clip have around them gets on my nerves a bit#using the word brat. fascinating.#somewhere in the paddock sebastian vettel himself sneezed#i guess i dont exactly feel like its 'deferential' for someone to be thanked??? everyone deserves praise?? theyre people too???#just bcs theyre drivers why does that inherently mean they dont deserve to be thanked for doing their job?#plenty of times drivers have just outright ignored team orders#and theres pleny of drivers who arent team players#so i dont get why its such a terrible thing for a driver to be thanked for being a team player#yeah sure its an common expectation BUT it is not a given. not at all#imo not every driver is gonna be okay w giving up their lead for their teammate#i feel like you could be like okay but im still contributing to the wcc if i win soooo?#idk theres such a weird ass balance between drivers having to be team players YET-#- simultaneously having their teammate as their biggest rival so to me the lines are blurred#cause. would they expect oscar to play this team game if he had just as many points?#also saying lando did him a favor at hungary. stfu.#but i digress. i think everyone has bias when it comes to this issue specifically#its like my post abt penalties. its terrible when it happens to your fav but the best thing to ever happen when it comes to your opp#f1#formula 1#2024 brazilian gp

Charles immediately knowing something is wrong when Bryan says "We need to box.", but Bryan not wanting to tell him on team radio. Still think it's a ridiculous rule FIA must declare a track wet before you can fit Intermediate tyres.
