It was almost dismal how much he looked forward to their lunches. If he had been told even five years ago that he would have been counting down the hours until he could have lunch with a young Federation doctor, he would have laughed.

Not that Julian wasn’t a good conversational partner. No, by all means he was as entertaining a guest as Garak had ever had. And he actually put the effort in to research and read the suggested topics nad novels that Garak recommends to him, which was more than anyone had ever cared to do. It was positively...endearing. 

Still, Garak was beginning to feel like an overgrown pet wompat the way he was living. Too much pudding. Too much sitting around. And the only activity he looked forward to even remotely involved eating pudding and sitting around. It was like some odd purgatory.

And yet when he arrived at the replimat to see that Dr. Bashir was right on time, the shame of the entire thing seemed to melt away. Garak allowed a genuine smile to grace his features. “My dear doctor,” he said graciously as he approached. “How nice it is to see you. Shall we sit?”

Semana que antecede a estreia de Star Trek Discovery, vamos rever as tripulações que fizeram de Star Trek este ícone pop da ficção científica mundial. Star Trek - Deep Space Nine. Sisko, Kira, Odo, Quark, Dax, Jake, Bashir, O'Brien, Nog, uma nova missão...!! DS9 foi a mais política e possivelmente a mais séria e sombria das séries da franquia. Diferente das demais, suas aventuras não eram de exploração espacial, visto que a ação se passava em uma estação espacial, a "Deep Space 9" do título. Então, todas as aventuras vinham até os protagonistas, geralmente. Com o tempo a estação ganhou tbm uma nave própria para deslocamento, a Defiant, que também dinamizou as aventuras...!! Trouxe o primeiro Capitão e comandante negro à franquia, com Avery Brooks, que com o tempo imprimiu sua própria personalidade no personagem e também trouxe de volta o Tenente Worf, de TNG, que teve sobrevida nesta série, que além da mais politizada, como já dito, também foi a que mais lidou com assuntos espirituais e metafísicos...!!
