ART RAMBLES: as i mentioned on the tags of my last drawing this piece gave me SUCH a headache #i think it's probably cos it was just supposed to be a quick sketch so i used a more stable pencil brush #but then i really liked it so i decided to properly colour it instead of just doing the watercolour thing i usually do for sketches #but with finished pieces i like the lineart to be kinda messy and the sketch to even show through bit #and since i used the more stable brush for the sketch it ended up looking WAY too clean. not like my stuff at all.#so i just started throwing stuff at the wall to see what could make it more interesting. full background! actual lineart! texture layers!#and this here is what i was the happiest with. i don't... love it though. it should be looking way more interesting given the pose #and then i also did the purge girl halfway through this and it looked SO good right out of the bat (pun intended)#so i went a bit into a spiral. did some realistic stuff i'll post soon. and now am trying out a thick black lineart style.#(i'll definitely still use the coloured lines for the sketchy watercolour stuff though. it just looks way too cute)

#(+ obligatory Fern Pout. i think it's the grumbly noise she makes that really sells it but i still had to draw it)#been thinking about this with melody for a while #& was inspired to throw fern in the mix when i saw her standing there like a telephone pole during her third exam #hunter x hunter #hxh #melody hxh #senritsu #sousou no frieren #fern frieren #(middle right is a manga panel redraw btw)#as much as i love dressing up melody in cute outfits & poses one thing i really love about her in canon is how a lot of the time #she's just kinda standing there in her signature potato sack dress #she wears dresses/feminine clothing but isn't really the “girly” type like bisky or palm #nor a Kickass Fight Girl™ but is still competent enough to participate in the plot #she values things like emotions music healing and protecting people without being “soft uwu Team Heart girl”#and not a mom/sister figure even with kacho or neon where she's in the position of protecting a younger girl #i know this word doesn't really mean anything but to my brain she's just *normal*#a depiction of femininity that i vibe with more than many others i guess #to some extent i feel that with fern too even if she's a bit more. well.#let's just say i spent two minutes in the fern tag and the amount of anime tiddies in there does not surprise me in the least

Torbek can purr. You'd need to pull it from my cold dead hands cause in my heart of cards thats canon. Every time I get into a fandom theres always at least one motherfucker that I stare at and go "you are going to become an animal" and then I just shake them around vigorously and add every animalistic headcanon I possibly can to them. And this fandom has like 3 we are so back! No one is immune from monsterification when I'm in town. Anyway Torbek once woke up washed and cleaned with bows in his hair in the inn and you can NOT tell me that that wasnt Twig and that she wouldnt do it regularly only for it to get ruined every single time (im so sad that he got dirty again so fast but also it was so fucking funny)

Also, I don't see Twig as a child figure to the group, I see her as the younger sister whos actually older but everyone always treats like the baby of the family cause shes small. She can easily fend for herself, but shes got her brothers around to beat up anyone who tries shit with her. Especially Gideon. Twig and Gideons familial relationship makes my heart go skittles colour and melt man, its so fucking precious. Anyway chat its 3am GNIGHT honkmimimi honkmimimi honkmimimi
