I'M SORRY!! But can i request Buddy who's Dratchet's kid ending up in Fearless universe??

At the first moment that they see one another, they are besties.

But what would be the other reactions to them?? At first they don’t say anything about their dimension, dying to know the new one. But after a while they end up opening up and telling them from the adoption to the court problem and what their bio parents did.

What would be the other reaction to this? How is dratchet going to react??

Fearless was seriously considering asking Brainstorm for a radar to detect where these random interdimensional portals would pop up.

For their sake and for the sake of their now crushed spine.

At least this time they were human.

The new human quickly got off Fearless’s back looking slightly panicked.

Fearless sits up, slightly groaning from the pain in their back. Fearless: “Hey kid, calm down, you’re safe here.” The kid looks around slightly frantic: “Am I on the Lost Light?” Fearless raises their eyebrow: “Yeah? You must be from a universe that also has a Lost Light.” The human looks at them confused: “What do you mean ‘universe’?” Fearless: “Before that, what’s your name? I’m Fearless.” The other human’s eyes widen a bit: “Fearless?” Fearless: “Yeah, not my Earth name. Haven’t used that name in a while. Its more—” The human smiles: “—a nickname that just stuck?” Fearless: “Yeah, I’m assuming that you got one too?” The human nods: “Whirl gave me the nickname Dratchet.” Fearless smiles widely: “Whirl gave you a name too!” Dratchet smiles back. Maybe this wasn’t going to be too bad…

Things were much smoother in explaining the interdimensional portals.

Mainly because Dratchet had been studying portals with Brainstorm a few days ago.

Fearless immediately wanted to show Dratchet around the ship.

Dratchet was bouncing around happily at the proposal wanting to know everything about this universe and how it was different from their own.

Strange enough, it took a while for anyone to notice that there was another human on board.

Mainly because Whirl found out about the new human and insisted carrying the pair in his cockpit.

He also wanted to see how long it would take for someone to notice the human.

It lasted for a good two hours before whirl got bored and decided to give the new human a proper dramatic entrance.

At Swerve’s…

Whirl marches up to the booth where Megatron is. He looks up. Megatron: “Whirl, do you need something?” Whirl: “Yes, the child support.” Megatron: “What?” Whirl pops open his cockpit revealing Fearless and Dratchet, both who smile and wave happily. Whirl: “Say hello to your new kid!” Dratchet looking up at him. Dratchet: “Megs isn’t my dad Whirl. Wrong mechs.” Megatron finally processes that there is a new human. Megatron sighs defeatedly: “A portal?” Fearless: “A portal.”

Surely after that the entire bar moved in to get a look at the new human.

Dratchet was having the time of their life meeting these alternate versions of their family.

Spouting stories from their universe while also listening in on the stories from this universe.

Whirl: “Hey tiny.” Dratchet looks up at Whirl. Dratchet: “Yeah? What’s up?” Whirl: “You mentioned earlier that Megatron here wasn’t your dad. So… how is it?” Dratchet smirks. Dratchet: “Why don’t you guess?” They glance over at Drift and Ratchet before looking back at the crowd. Dratchet: “Any guess? Anyone?” Riptide: “Brainstorm and Perceptor.” Dratchet gives him a look. Dratchet: “No.” Pipes: “Thunderclash and Rodimus.” *Faint sounds of Rodimus puking in the background* Dratchet looks slightly appalled: “What? No! You know what, don’t try and guess--”  Nightbeat: “Ratchet and Drift.” Dratchet: “…” They look over at the pair and shyly wave. Drift was the first to make a move and walks over followed by Ratchet. Drift: “So, you’re our…” Dratchet: “I’m your kid, yeah—” Drift lifts them up and pulls them into a hug turning to Ratchet. Drift: “We have a kid!” Ratchet lets out a soft smile and nods. Tailgate nudges at the detective: “How did you—” Nightbeat: “Their name is a mix of their own. It was obvious.”

After the reveal, Dratchet tells the crew about how they became Drift and Ratchet’s kid and the emotional rollercoaster of what happened when they returned to Earth.

On a day that was supposed to be full of fun, turn to one to decide the future custody of the child.

Drift and Ratchet did tense a bit hearing the tale of the court room.

Of course, Dratchet wasn’t their kid, but they also couldn’t imagine what was going through their counter parts helms when they were in that court room.

The pair had their fair share of parenting with Fearless, but they couldn’t imagine having a kid of their own.

Maybe in the future?

Who knows when you’re traveling on the Lost Light.

Dratchet does make it clear that if their presence does bother the pair to let them know.

It backfires and now Dratchet is spending most of their time with their parents’ alternatives.

It pains the pair to say goodbye to the kid when they have to leave, but they can also imagine the near hysteria their counterparts must been trying to find their kid after a few days.

In Dratchet’s universe…

Dratchet lands on top of a sleeping Rodimus. Rodimus jolts up nearly knocking the human off his chassis. He quickly catches them before they hit the ground. Rodimus: “Dratchet?!” Dratchet smiles as they are pulled into the captains’ chassis. Rodimus: “Where have you been?! We’ve been search all over the ship for you!” Dratchet: “Well there was this—HEY!” Rodimus jumps out of his berth, transforms and starts speeding off while Dratchet was clutching onto their seatbelt for dear life. Dratchet: “RODDY! SLOW DOWN!” Rodimus making several quick turns. He stops in front a familiar habsuite door. He transforms, holding Dratchet in one servo and begins knocking on the door with much urgency. Drift is at the door with a sword in his servo. Drift: “Rodimus! What in Primus’s name are…” He looks at Dratchet in his friend’s servo waving. Dratchet: “Hey Drift.” A small noise creeps from Drift’s voicebox as he drops his sword. Ratchet comes from behind him. Ratchet: “Drift what—Dratchet? Dratchet!” Ratchet reaches over and gets the small human in his servos, holding them close to his chassis. Dratchet tries and gives him the biggest hug they could. Drift: “Where did you find them?” Rodimus shrugs: “They literally fell on my chassis.” Dratchet yawning: “I’ll explain everything after a nap, yeah?” All three mech nod. Rodimus returns to his room as Drift closes the door. Ratchet is look around for any injuries. Dratchet hugs his digit: “I’m fine Ratchet.” The medic huffs as he settles back in the berth. Drift follows closely and places a servo over them. Drift: “You have some explaining to do kiddo.” Dratchet yawns and rest on the pair’s servos. Dratchet: “Later… Sleep now…” And with that all three of them went into a peaceful sleep.

Food for the Dratchet fans because if I feed you, I am hopeful you will feed me.

So there was that whole debacle where the Lost Light split in two and the DJD massacred everyone on one of the ships, right?

Y'all, Drift and Ratchet fought together and died together on that ship. Drift tried to protect Ratchet from the goddamn DJD. He failed, but he tried.

No smut, neither a super adventure. Just the side story of Ratchet and Drift being the sweetest couple.

Since they conjunxed (and Ratchet’s retirements) they’ve changed a lot:

Drift is more sure of himself, less burden by guilt. He’s not a doormat anymore, he will not go the extra mile to let others feel at ease with him, either you like him or don’t. A little part of Deadlock is now unleashed, he’s not hiding his claws and fangs, he will growl and threaten with posturing and glares… with that said, he’s also comfortable into showing his love for Ratchet in public spaces. The sit close, side touching, and if Ratchet happens to seat himself a little too far, Drift will grab him by the middle and pull him closer, one hand around Ratchet’s back, touching, soothing the both of them. Their hands are constantly intertwined, like they both can’t stand to be too far.

Ratchet is more relaxed, with no more stress from exhausting shifts and the constant suffer/death surrounding them. He would sigh and lean against Drift, giving the both of them the comfort they need. His field almost constantly mingling with Drift’s, both filled with love and devotion.

And when Ratchet starts to carry, Drift would be found constantly at his side, hands around his pregnant wife, touching his belly and proudly showing around what they made.

Aaaaa you're on thin ice with that last part, buddy, almost in violation of celibacy week, but I can excuse it. Not everyone considers it sexy. We'll let it slip. It's cute. Drift and Ratchet deserve to be happy about their sparklings...

hrggh I just love dratchet so much, I want to imagine them healing each other, bit by bit... Obviously they're still old pricks, but they're both comfortable now. Comfortable with themselves, and with each other..

I ALSO like Shockwave in IDW/G1 and I don't know much about him in TFP but his design there fucks and I like the way I see him characterised in fic fbdmfbdk IDK I STILL HAVENT WATCHED TFP.

Also the little baby me in the back of my head demands for TFA!Starscream to be on this list because I really liked him, but I'm more invested in trying to kiss other characters in TFA, namely Prowl, Blurr, Scrapper, Swindle, Megatron and Shockwave.

As for the premise, I'm pretty sure I've written something already that contains that sort of administrative blockage as a plot point, but I think the approval flow didn't really feature as more than thin pretext for, uh, a more adult piece.

Actually, I do a lot administrative paperwork in my actual career, so I use it frequently as a device (Rodimus making Megatron approve conjunxual licenses in the one Dratchet fic I did because he doesn't want to do it, Rodimus making changes to the approval flow to spite previous aesthetic choices Megatron has made, lack of follow through on repairs post-approval leads to the resolution in The Hollow Man, etc.) but never as the focus. Hm.

How would it look as the focus (and not a pretext for shenanigans)? I wonder.

The commlink beeped happily as it finished booting up on Starscream's desk, ready to make any long distance call that the emperor so desired.

Starscream had known, of course, that after taking power, he would need to install some sort of administrative system to keep society... or rather the government running effectively. Millions of years of playing a leading role in the development of the Decepticon command and legal structures wouldn't go to waste.

Even if he had never been a particularly popular figure, outside of the elections, no one could dare to call him "unqualified" for the position of emperor. He had the necessary credentials in spades; even Megatron had agreed back when during the war.

Starscream clenched his jaw as he started entering the frequency to a ship that he really wished he didn't have memorized.

While copying over a lot of the Decepticon legal structures (and swapping out some labels as necessary) had been a useful stopgap measure, merging some of it with the ad hoc policies of Bumblebee's provisional government, rather than trying to build an entirely new system from the ground up, there was... a fatal flaw.

Both the provisional government's codes and the Decepticons' had themselves been built from the ground up, developed as needed and patchworked together. Some components were useless when taken out of their original systems. Specifically the approval bottlenecks formed by both incredibly centralized systems with limited backup approvers.

The commlink hummed as it dialed... connecting... waiting....

The viewscreen mounted in the wall behind the commlink flicked on, showing a stoic Ultra Magnus, the regrettably familiar Lost Light's command office in the background.

"Ah, Your Imperial Majesty, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

And some fool who had worked on importing the approval routing logic had forgotten to replace a certain name in this one side process: reimbursement, requisition, and procurement of any goods using Starscream's personal discretionary funds. Things that would be a rubber stamp approval. "Yes," Starscream replied, sighing in resignation, "Where is Megatron? I need him to approve my requisition for... certain goods." Polish, nominally for guests at his palace. But they were purchased on discretionary funds, after all, so it was no matter. "Again."

A random thing I found in Notes: a Transformers Prime era Dratchet fic I will never finish!

“I’m on monitor duty,” Ratchet said, “Don’t expect—“

A loud ping cut off his rant. “An Autobot signal.” Ratchet’s fingers flew to the touchscreen. His optics flashed in surprise. “It’s Drift.”

Bulkhead and Wheeljack shared a knowing look, that was a name they hadn’t heard in a while.

Ratchet moved fast. “I’m bringing him in.”

“Who’s Drift?” Miko asked.

Miko was Bulkhead’s charge, Wheeljack would leave the talking to him.

“Well, uh,” Bulkhead looked to Wheeljack for help. None was coming. “He’s a former Wrecker, great shot, good with a sword—“

Miko smiled. “Like Wheeljack.”

“He’s nothing like me!” Wheeljack snapped.

Another human would have shrink away from the outburst, but not Miko. She had stood up to far worse than a pissy Autobot.

“Uh huh.” Miko swiveled on her butt. “Hey Arcee,” she called out, “why are the guys so upset about this Drift?”

Arcee made a “keep quiet” gesture. “He was a Decepticon once.”

Miko’s eyebrows crawled all the way up to her hairline. “Really?” She practically squeaked she was so excited about the gossip. “But he switched to the good guys, right?”

“Yeah,” Bulkhead admitted, “he did.”

“Then what’s the problem?”

Wheeljack scowled, some wounds still felt fresh after all this time. “He offlined a lot of our friends before switching badges.”

“We probably offlined a lot of his buddies too,” Bulkhead pointed out.

This was all confusing to Miko. “Then why—“

This was a question Arcee could answer. “Technoism.”

A shiver went up Bulkhead’s spine at the mere mention of it.

Undeterred, Miko continued her line of inquiry.

“Technoism is belief that cybernetic organisms are superior to organics,” Arcee said, “and that the only pure universe is one without sentient organics in it.”

The implication struck Miko hard. “No.”

“Deadlock was a true believer in the Decepticon cause,” Arcee said.

“Enough to kill his own kind over it,” Wheeljack said, “but when Megatron started targeting other races—“

Miko was starting to understand. “He became an Autobot.”

“It took the threat of genocide to wake him up.”

Spellbound au - how do you prefer to be killed when you finish it? The reason of my possible jail, whether someone kills me for it or I kill someone fighting back so that no one kills me. Matter of fact I hadn't cried because of stories in a sad way in a very long time and this thing right now holds me in a chokehold. I said so many stupid things for this au because I AM SO CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT I WANT FROM IT, PLEASE DESTROY MY MENTAL HEALTH, PLEASE DON'T I WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY. In a nutshell...

The liekihood that Dratcht survives this is so low it isn't even funny.

Especially if any of them find out that they are related to Drift.

The only scenario were Dratchet survives this encounter is if they are used as live bait to draw out Drift.

On the Lost Light, its all servos on deck!

They know the limited time they have from Dratchet's disappearance and they need to act quickly.

Drift is not allowed anywhere without Ratchet in fear that 'Deadlock' could start to show.

Ratchet is not allowed anywhere without Drift because he WILL find an escape pod and go after his kid.

All escape pods are put on lock down so either of the bots can go on it.

Hear me out,med student ratchet who's about to graduate but since there's a semester break and all that he kinda having fun being party ambulance and somehow ended up hooking up with this certain a little bit older gentleman and well

Lots of fun bedroom stuff happens and when it's time for graduation he's pretty much preggers with bump and he's still kinda dazed and of course some of his exes are crying inside because come on who wouldn't want to see ratchet pregnant with their child eh?

Anyways, deadlock come to pick him up and he's smug,too smug and ratchet is obviously still innocently oblivious but still snappy and all that because mood swings

And let's say that deadlock sent video of ratchet giving birth to the sparklings to his exes just to show off

Oh yeah they're very much like Ratchet career wise,but Deadlock's influence when it comes to genes are why the exes are seething

Aaaa older Drift knocking up a younger Ratchet... that's so good. And all of Ratchet's exes and fuck buddies and previous hook-ups are so angry that this bastard is Ratchet's baby daddy.

Watching hum graduate university with a big baby bump and an older mech's arm around his waist just makes everyone fume. They sure hope the baby comes out looking nothing like Deadlock, that Ratchet went and got himself knocked up by one of the hundreds of other mechs he fucked, but no such luck... Deadlock gets a cute little wife and two wonderful sparklings out of their hot and steamy one night stand, and happily spreads the word to all of Ratchet's horny exes <3

I actually did something for Dratchet Week!

Day One: Contentment.

I tried a few things with my art with this piece. Was def fun to color in a more dramatic shaded piece (also more challenging). But have a Drift and Ratchet happily snuggling as they watch a nature vid before recharge.

Thoughts on transformers being lardy in both forms?

Its honesty not something I usually think of on a normal basis, but more thought had gone towards it thanks to yet another online buddy I have.

I usually don't write/draw much alt modes scenerios in general. I do have a little tidbit coming up in my dratchet fic, but since ratchet isnt too chubbed up at that point, there isn't much mention of his alt mode being fat looking.

I'm not against it, there are fun scenerios that come with it- like where would all the chub go? Well, seat cushions for starters. I can also imagine some of th epaneling on the inside budlging outwards. As far as outside of the vehicle, tired taking on an over inflated shape. And if you really want to chub up the outside of the vehicle then the paneling there would be inflated- puffed up hood, bulging trunk, and the classic swelled midsection between the tires.

And you can bank on some smelly exhaust pooting out the exhaust pipe.

First of all, thank you for everyone who voted! Didn’t expect 44 people and it sure helped me in places to decide on things and being able to think of more plot :D

Lemme just go through all the questions under the cut:

1. Big or small cast?  Big cast but only caring about few does suit me! If it were a small cast, I’d probably have gone with a plot structure similar to Beast Wars. Like this, I can make the premise more like TFA (the premise is like TFA in a lot of ways btw).

And it does suit me as well to not have to figure out an arc for too many characters, I don’t want this whole thing to be too long. 

2. From which continuity would you like characters? This is a little hard to decipher, but suffice to say, most people want more G1 characters. Beast Wars and Japanese G1 have more votes as well! To Beast Wars: I love Beast Wars and its characters, however, I do not like to draw them. Their designs are cool and it’s not like I can’t draw them, I just prefer not to. So if I were to bring Beast Wars characters into this, I would change their designs for me to feel more comfortable drawing them. On another note, I also don’t like drawing animals (at all) so I’d probably give them a mechanic alt-mode with animal features in their robot mode (like the Breast Force in Victory)

As for Japanese G1, I do have quite a few planned! ~ As for G1 characters which never appear in another show...gotta say, most of those I don’t care for either. Some I do, but most not. Might bring them in somehow, but don’t expect them to have bigger roles. (exceptions exist, like Springer, love me the dude!)

3. Choose a dead Prime who ruled before Optimus! Sentinel won! Did like some of the extra choices as well though, like Prowl. Also noteworthy to me, no one voted for Arcee xD Guess no one wanted her dead.

4. Choose an Optimus Prime squad! So, for this I wanted to pick the two most voted guys and girls! And coincidentally, those happen to be the most of voted of them all! For guys, we have Jazz (not surprised by this) and Hot Rod, and for the girls, Elita and Arcee.

Guess that’ll be the squad.

Also, note here: A few people voted Ratchet as a custom answer and do not fret! He will be in this! This Optimus squad is simply a little group of Optimus and his close friends, and since I want to have a young Oppy, I want his friends to be in the same age range. On the same note, just because some characters aren’t in the friend group, doesn’t mean they won’t appear at all. Windblade and Jetfire for example are gonna be in this!

5. Choose a Megatron squad! This is about Megatron’s generals btw - characters who aren’t in this group can still appear! (examples are Cyclonus, Megaempress and Sixshot)

And again I want to choose equal part guys and girls, so for the guys, it’s Soundwave (boy getting loved I see), Starscream and Shockwave, and for the ladies, we have Nightbird, Blackarachnia and Strika.

A little note here: Because a friend commented on this I wanna make it clear: Drift/Deadlock will be based on the Aligned version, NOT on the IDW version. I had made it clear in the poll that I don’t like IDW1. (which I guess some people didn’t read, given that Tarn was given as a custom answer)

6. One love is story is planned, want any more?

I feel like I should have specified who the love story is about - It is about Megatron and Ultra Magnus. Big time. As for the answers, yes I can live them all! They don’t contradict each other anyway :D

7. Any ships you wanna see in this? Okay, the tricky stuff - as I said, the main love story is Megatron x Ultra Magnus, so any ship-wish that includes Megatron or Magnus here, sorry, not happening. I mean most don’t care, but for those who do:

- Dratchet: I know it’s an IDW thing, I can still think of something with the versions I have in mind if you still want that. - Windstream: Friends of mine wanted this, and I will try my best to make something nice out of it!

- JazzWave: Gotta see, so far I wouldn’t know how to include it

- Giving Arcee love: Got something nice and sapphic planned for her!

- Optimus/Elita: Again a friend wanted this, and I too would like to see them in a truly romantic light, so I’m going to include it!

- Happy ones, for the bad guys as well: Hell yeah! - Simpatico: I do not have Percy or Brainstorm planned in this

- Hot Rod/Arcee: I had another idea for Arcee, sorry! - Anything with Jazz: Good to know, if I can’t make it work with Soundwave, I’ll try with someone else (Hot Rod perhaps)

- Strika/Lugnut: Why not? Something in the background, as I have no plans for Lugnut - Windscream: Thing is, there are people who had this ship in the “Do not want” question that follows. Personally, I am indifferent to this ship, but since more people don’t want it (and because I have plans for Windstream), I’m going to pass on this. WaveWave: Gonna see how it goes with Jazz!

8. Anything you don’t want? Most people don’t care, which is nice, as for the things people listed: - Sparklings: Never planned them anyway, I want to go for something else to get parent/child dynamics. - Windscream, MegaStar, MegOP: See upwards, not going to happen here, same with DooP, since I wanna go with OpLita - “If functionalism exists, please don’t make the oppressed characters the villains for fighting back”: NO WORRIES, IS NOT PLANNED! Megatron’s backstory has no freedom fighter motive whatsoever. - Manipulative/abusive ships: Not planned - Bumblebee: Good luck, buddy, I didn’t have him planned either! xD - Slash: Tough luck, buddy, this will be one hell of a MagsMegs ride!

- Negativity directed at me: Thanks, pal! I do not wish for that either! :>
