THE CHiRAL NIGHT -Dive into DMMd- Live at Tokyo Dome City Hall 2013

In honor of the 10th anniversary of this event, I decided to embark on a personal project to archive it & share it with fellow fans. This year also marks my own 10th anniversary — I first played a fan translation of DMMd in 2013 & found myself immediately connected with its music. This truly was a labor of love to undertake, but I’m happy that I can celebrate this milestone with you all.

Clears bad ending in re:connect was one thing. It was horrid, sure, but above and beyond all it hurt. I cried while playing through that ending because it broke me to imagine what Aoba must have felt being presented with the familiar image of Clear, who on the inside however, has been changed beyond recognition. Yet in the end, even though the man who stands before him is but an empty vessel, a mere glimpse of the past, Aoba succumbs to him. He wants to be close to Clear even though this isn’t his Clear anymore. He wants to make Clear happy, even though this new version of his, wishes for something horrible. Wishes for something that Aobas Clear would never want in a million years.

Then there is Noiz and his bad ending.

And yes it is heartbreaking, it is shattering. But above all, it’s terrifying. It’s not only the idea of being in a predicament, where each others touch tears their skin open. In fact I believe this is the easiest part to swallow. What really made me shudder to my core was Aobas voice. Aoba calling out to Noiz, the others name leaving his shredded throat not even fully formed; not reaching the others ears. You have to actually listen closely to be able to hear it. On top of that, unlike in Clears ending, Aoba is completely lucid. He has not lost his mind. He sees, hears, feels and understands it all. And that is the true horror of this ending. Horror which shook me so much I was unable to cry.

Does anyone know of a comprehensive guide or way to download DRAMAtical Murder RE:Connect in english? I have tried a couple of ways and i am either unable due to them not working any more or just not being able to read them. any help would be appreciated.

dmmd fan patches archived

so I archived the fan English patches for dmmd and dmmd re:connect. FYI These do not contain the cracked versions of the games. dmmd’s fan patch was removed on aarinfantasy due to the jast translation. So I decided to archive both bc we never know if reconnect will get a official translation or not. Rather be safe than sorry and preserve the fan-translations the fandom had for so many years. I understand legally why aarinfantasy removes fan-translations once a official one get mades but it’s still a loss in a fandom’s history.

Took a little longer than anticipated to get up, but here it is! This is another album that has illustrated lyric cards instead of a booklet, which is both more aesthetically pleasing (in my opinion) & much easier to scan, lol.

I used the things I had on hand (mostly gifts from my friends and such) to make some sort of "thematics" (definitely my favorites are Clear and Ren, the beach doesn't fail).

so I’m trying to successfully download re:connect with the english patch but I can only find uploads from years ago which I think aren’t working anymore (since the game won’t go beyond being a black window, changed the locale and everything). Is there anyone who has access or has themselves uploaded a copy of re:connect which is still working in 2023?

On the subject of Koujaku's route and how personal trauma can lash outwards hurting your loved ones, I am absolutely in love with how the theme bleeds into the meta of the narrative

Koujaku's pain and misery are so all-encompassing it overshadows the main plot!! Getting into Oval Tower doesn't just take a backseat it's shoved out of the way once they enter Platinum Jail. Like all the routes surround the budding romance between Aoba and the decided love interest, but compared to Koujaku's they feel much more balanced between character conflict and plot progression, while his is purposefully skewed — especially if you play straight from the beginning.

Like yeah it's his route so he's the focus but Koujaku's past is at the crux of every single issue, it's the source of every conflict within the story. Aoba has his own problems but none of that gets aired out until the end of the route. Aoba's every waking thought revolves around his concern for Koujaku and their relationship hanging in the balance. He barely has time to think about anything else.

The bad end results in both being eaten alive by Koujaku's torment (Koujaku figuratively, Aoba literally), but it's a combination of that and Aoba's own baggage that leaves him as Shiroba. And!! Even then!! We still don't scratch the surface because Koujaku's self-destruction demands SO much attention.

It even reflects in their designs!! Koujaku's beast form draws your eye with bloody reds, striking animalistic features, and bold complicated tattoos. Shiroba's (though still striking on its own) mostly starch-white appearance looks plain in comparison.

During the events of Platinum Jail Koujaku becomes a whirlpool of despair and misery that sucks up everything in its path. It's like being trapped in the event horizon of a black hole.

It consumes everything, even the narrative focus!
