Currently reading: Queer British Art 1861-1967 - it's an exhibition catalogue I stumbled upon while researching for my studies, and I love it so much!! And I'm very sorry if that makes me seem pretentious I swear I'm not!!

Back in August @dragonss-in-the-north​​ came up with the idea of a Mr. and Mrs. Smith Thommy AU and I was inspired to add the following details:

They take a break from trying to kill each other to have sex as (I think?) they do in the movie, and Thomas gasps out “I love you” and Jimmy snarls back “you don’t know me” (he feels a little more betrayed by the reveal than Thomas does maybe) and Thomas just. Recites a list of things he knows about Jimmy. While continuing to have sex. The new dirty talk: “I know you hate sugar in your tea but you’ll drink mine anyway because stolen tea is better.”

Of course a little while into the afterglow Jimmy says quietly “maybe what I meant is that I don’t know you” and Thomas grabs his hand and squeezes it and says “You do. Jimmy I swear you do.” And as Thomas’s gaze bores into him Jimmy realizes that - Thomas was never going to actually try take him out. Maybe he has a plan for what else to do or maybe he doesn’t but he didn’t for a second consider actually going through with his mission and killing Jimmy.

I don’t know how the actual movie ends but perhaps Thomas and Jimmy find some insurance against their respective agencies and run away to start a new un-agenty life together.
