i was extremely sleep deprived yesterday when i discovered the dragon survival mod which was LIFE CHANGING when you're on three hours of sleep so of course i made a whole custom forest dragon texture in one day about it. and. just for fun, some concept art i made for it:

it's so nice to have emmrich to go 'well. the strict demon/spirit dichotomy and the categorization within chantry tradition of 'demons' into only a handful of clear and umistakable categories such as Pride, Desire, and Rage and ranking them by 'power' is, of course, overly simplistic to the point where it threatens to become unhelpful not to say actively misleading... *cough it's fucking politically motivated bullshit and dishonest scholarship cough cough*'. like of course we knew that at this point but it feels good to have it spelled out with citations and footnotes lol

with Dark Souls official account quote rt the Elden Ring NightReign announcement talking about ancestral foes of a fire that once burned bright, and the game being a co-op action survival, im pretty sure that's honest-to-God Nameless King. not a reskin, not reusing assets to make a different character, it's literally him.

the concept of pulling bosses and characters from other worlds / timelines to an alternative Limgrave is fascinating to me, especially since it's something we already see a glimpse of in the base game via Rennala's boss fight (2nd phase). really makes me wonder if the power of the Night include opening gateways to other worlds.

it adds a new layer of conflict between the Greater Will & the Night Lord! GW (the Day, the Light) desires Order, but Night (Dark) could mess with fabrics between worlds & time like that, like it's Chaos ! they introduce a new gameplay direction, yet it ties in very well with the lore, im in awe.
