My take on Dragon-type trainer Miku inspired by Project Voltage!

FINAL ROUND, BATTLE FOR THE CROWN: DRAGON VS. FAIRY!!

The deciding match, the battle for first! Which of these Types will claim eternal glory at the top of the podium, and which will have to settle for second place? Both of these have yet to lose a match, but only one can win!! This the legendary final battle! And it's up to you to determine the result!

Introducing Laidon, the Dragon-Type Gym Leader and Tari, his main pokemon. Mind you, this art is pretty old, hence why I feel like it's less stylized than my previous one.

Regardless, lemme give you the gist of this young man up here.

Laidon's city is named Malum City and is unique due to its whole theme and how it's built.

The city itself climbs up a giant mountain, with there being different sectors the higher you get that follow seperate "aesthetics(?)" you could say.

For instance, say there are five sectors, each one features fashion, food, and attractions that you'd find in previous times, like the 50's, 60s, and up til the 2000s I guess. This is why I tried to make Laidon rock some sort of punk Rockstar aesthetic. Don't think the colors work for the aesthetic itself, but I do like the scheme.

ALSO, I realize some may be wondering why I used a soft-voice pokemon like Altaria as his main pokemon, especially since he's a rockstar. That's because Tari specifically damaged her voice as a Swablu and later found herself scared of using her voice at all due to how loud and scratchy it sounded.

After Laidon caught her, though, he used her voice to up the intensity of the vocals in his songs, and I imagine that her new voice will help more intense sound-based moves. (I'll have to look into it.)

As for Laidon himself, he doesn't really like battling as much as he likes singing. Previously, his brother was the gym leader, but took a vacation to Alola for a break away from his city. This left Laidon in charge.

While I still don’t think it was done perfectly, the more I think about it, the more I think Blood & Cheese was done well. With no Maelor, the change to “which one is the boy” makes sense, and even Helaena offering up her necklace, which I really didn’t like at first, makes much more sense now that I think about it. Cheese(?)’s “does she look like a fucking prince to you” line and all their talk of sons makes it clear to Helaena that offering herself up is not going to do any good, and doing so might risk making them angry and just make them kill both children. So then of course she offers up her necklace, they have to be doing this for money and it’s the only thing that might appeal to them. Then, once they make it clear both kids are dying if she doesn’t tell them which one is Jaehaerys, she points to him. They know she’s telling the truth because she looks so guilty and horrified but she has no choice, at this point she can only save Jaehaera. Even her running out makes sense, being unable to watch the fate her son has been doomed to, saving who she can save and wandering around, not even being phased by Alicent and Criston because she’s so guilt-ridden and so traumatized and so stunned and so out of it that all she can do is collapse to the floor and say “they killed the boy.” Not even Jaehaerys’ name, they broke her so thoroughly that she can only speak like them. Okay maybe it was actually done well.

no, the most comphet thing in this episode is that charles rowland, light of my life, owner of my heart, saw these two scruffy scrappy stinky burly fuckboy jocks and then looked at himself, this genderfuck punk twink with the prettiest most delicate features i’ve ever seen and eyeliner and earrings and bisexual ass jacket, and edwin payne, the most clockable homosexual that has ever lived or died, the quintessential twink, with his stupid little gay bowtie and gloves and fancy jacket and button up shirt and little gay posh voice and the cunty feminine way he walks and gestures and edwardian vocabulary and syntax and everything about him and said, “they’re just like us, right edwin?” babygirl you are so delusional.

Round 3, Match 2: Dragon vs. Spellcaster!

Dragon and Spellcaster are some of the most widely known Types. They're known to even those who know nothing else of Yu-Gi-Oh! through their most famous representatives: Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and Dark Magician, a fated battle lasting 3,000 years! So, who will win? That will be decided here!

Fun fact! all but two of the anime protagonists have Spellcasters in their deck, and all but two of the anime series have at least one "rival" whose ace monster is a Dragon.
