Rantaro hates that you feel shitty most of the time, but thankfully he’s not a too active guy lol. He’s relaxing to be around, and knows enough about anemia to be able to help you make your life easier.

Kiibo will do his research on how he can assist you, though he’s not the best compared to the others due to his lack of experience with this sorta thing, in general taking care of others isn’t something he’s used to.

Kokichi knew some people with anemia so he knows how to help :) ! He’s very helpful, and even when he’s pranking you and being a little shit, he’ll cut it out if he realizes you seem very tired.

“did they square up in the kitchen” yes. they’re insane. on a more meta note izuru and nagito’s roles in the fic were decided years before i watched dr3 or had any real understanding of his character bc sdr2 leaves much to be desired. same with nagito’s dynamic with him. my understanding of his character Now makes no real difference though; izuru has always served a specific purpose that i think i’ve got down pat, whether or not i think Actual Canon Izuru Kamukura would jump nagito komaeda, or vice versa. po!nagito is a massive hater with very few productive outlets (at camp most of the time, tries very hard not to lash out at the kids and feels very bad when he does) for his anger. that motherfucker is wound TIGHT, and po!izuru has caused his husband to suffer endlessly, so when given the chance nagito beats his ass (as much as is possible given the barrier’s “no physical harm from the gods” protections. it’s mostly a lot of punch-kick-hitting-hairpulling type shit. also why izuru is NOT allowed to leave camp <3).

and the camp ‘documentary’ was a creative vision in the editing booth primarily by the duo of kokichi/miu (oh boy). they also bring in kaede/kiibo respectively sometimes but its mostly the brainchild of the most annoying motherfuckers at camp.

I’m thinking maybe since it’s so quick after sdr2 that in the au the coma folk haven’t woken up yet (which would mean that the only kids in need of watching are Kokichi n MAYBE Kiibo, since Himiko wouldn’t exist yet, Kaede wouldn’t be adopted yet, and Rantaro wouldn’t have spawned in yet)

Why don’t you ship it?

I don't like Kaito's design and I don't think he has romantic chemistry with most of the cast. Again, I also have a bunch of other Kokichi ships I prefer to read about. (specifically Kiibo, Miu, Gonta, Kirumi, and Tsumugi)

What would have made you like it? if Kaito were written slightly differently. I'm sorry to Kaito fans. Kokichi and Nagito are funny annoying, Kaito was just annoying annoying, if that makes sense. Its an entirely subjective thing. Other character's negative traits (cough Tenko cough) were called out by the narrative, and it feels like his were just glossed over. Honestly, I just don't like Kaito and how he was written.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? I love love love trial 5 of drv3, and without them, it wouldn't be possible. It took Kaito from the worst character in Danganronpa for me (sorry Kaito fans!) to bottom five, and that is a huge achievement. Kokichi and Kaito not being as different as you thought they were is excellent foreshadowing for chapter six. Junko/Mikan is one of my favorite abusive ships of all time. I love it so much. 1. What made you ship it? Its a toxic ship, my one weakness! I specifically like how Junko was talked about in chapter three by Mikan. Tbh it reminds me of a past relationship I've had, in a bad way.

What are your favorite things about the ship? How little of it we see in canon. It gets the mind churning with so many possible ideas. We only see Mikan's POV of it, and Mikan is a very biased narrator from what we see in trial 3. What if... Junko did care about Mikan in some fucked up way? Thats way more interesting to me than woobie x emotionless manipulation machine the fanon portrays them as.

tbh i dont mind shuichi at all i just dont think abt him proxy to him being from v3. like out of all da v3 characters shuichi, kaede, and kiibo are the ones id willingly pluck out and say you can stay.

outside of that tho, i just think v3 is................not good.................dont get me wrong i think visually and musically the game is amazing. best looking game best sounding game. but i think the cases are either flawed/boring, and the overall story is .. lame. it feels like a try-hard combination of dr1 and sdr2's ending + it doesnt even make sense when you factor in dr3 and dr:ae (which they explicitly reference so you cant say they didnt have those in mind when making the story). + if u wanna talk about the other dr media that is dubiously canon like killer killer, dr:0, danganronpa kirigiri etc. its just wayyyy too many plot holes.

combine all that with the fact i personally think v3 has the weakest/most boring cast and well you can see why i'm not a fan.

i could also get into the way they totally ruin a lot of what originally made danganronpa what it was such as making all the executions overtly gorey (tbf this is not exclusive to v3, i dislike dr3 for this same reason) or just being overtly misanthropist which again kind of goes against the story of dr1/sdr2. and even ignoring all that. in terms of mainline games, the series was done after sdr2. like sdr2 was the perfect deconstruction of dr1 and everything that dr1 stood for. it was done after that. there wasn't anything left to deconstruct narratively imo, i think it was best to leave all the other vague aspects up to the PLAYER to have something to think, speculate, and theorize on. spin offs are fine but i think having another mainline after that was a misstep. these r just my thoughts tho......
