Impressive to me how "Nagito Komaeda" is an anagram of "Naegi Makoto da" (I am Makoto Naegi) but his name is still made up of kanji that make some sort of sense for his character

Whether you ship NaeJunko or not, you can not lie that they have an interesting dynamic with each other. Too bad we never had the full context of their relationship pre-killing game. Like seriously. Considering how often these two bud heads cross paths with each other throughout the games and novels, and with a confirmation that they were friends or acquaintances, you expect there would be an installment fully elaborating on the dynamic between these two, but no. (A missed opportunity in Danganronpa 3 to tackle.)

here is the Makoto Naegi propaganda:

- he’s friend shaped

- he has extremely funny internal dialogue

- he doesn’t believe in himself sure but he believes in you and me and literally anyone he comes across

- he is the perfect foil for junko bc of course the hero that can defeat existential despair and horror at the future you’re being presented is

- he’s super charismatic and would probably convince you to do so if you met him

- he’s carrying the memory of everyone who died with him to the point that it is the first thing someone would use to get him to kill himself

- if you called him in the middle of the night to do something for you without explaining why he’d just agree to do it without really questioning what’s going on

- he’s genuinely really interested in everyone around him
