After seeing some of the voice notes I hope that

1. Wyldfyre does become the new red ninja

2. They keep her as the new red ninja after Kai comes back

Think about it, I think it would work for both characters. Wyldfyre is able to accept her new place on the team after coming to terms with Kai’s sacrifice and becoming a ninja without needing her mentor anymore.

And Kai, someone who’s dedicated so much of his life to being a ninja and is rarely ever given the chance to just breathe, can distance himself from the team for a bit and try to either do his own thing or redeem the forbidden five.

I think it would be a great use of both characters and honestly I wouldn’t mind Kai being off the show for awhile doing his own thing away from the team!

I think we need to talk about the unspoken trauma response that the ninja developed because of the merge

We have seen multiple times that the Ninja can’t handle being separated because of death/disappearance

Way back in s4, the entire team broke up because of Zane’s sacrifice. The same thing happened g happened again in Crystalized because of Nya’s.

But now it has canonically been years since they’ve last see each other and they’re more focused on saving the world!

I mean there has not been a hint of Jay and all of a sudden he shows up, is evil, then leaves. And everybody is too focused on saving the world to even think about going after him.

And I don’t by that the Ninja have to focus on saving the world, cause literally every other season is them saving the world.

That same thing happened with Kai’s sacrifice in pt1. Pt2 starts and Wyldfyre is the only one who seems devastated that he’s gone. While most of the others are busy trying to save the world.

Of the TLDR of it all is that the Merge and years of separation have caused all the Ninja to no longer fall apart at the loss of one of their friends, for better and for worse

Darkly ironic that Lloyd goes into S2P1 unsure of his mission and concerned about Arin and Sora, but instead he loses Kai and it's only because of Arin and Sora that he doesn't lose Nya. Meanwhile, he gets a clear mission from a godlike entity in S2P2, yet that's when he loses Arin.

Was anyone really bothered by how dismissive all of the ninja expect Nya are about the whole Jay situation in dr s2 p2? Like, I get the whole tournament situation is important and they can’t just bail, but no one even really seemed to care at all. Cole is Jay’s best friend and he barely had anything to say about it all and hardly seemed concerned about Jay literally shattering the good in his soul and leaving so they’ll have no idea where to find him again.

That all just really didn’t sit right with me.
