Hellen Gravely's trusty servants, ready to serve! They are loyal to her, following her every command. After all, if it weren't for her, where else would they be now?

Comprising of (from left to right, back to front):

Steward, the...steward. He is Hellen's personal assistant and head of the staff.

Shivers, the butler. He tends to roam around the halls.

Kruller, the footman. He serves as a bodyguard.

Chef Soulfle, the cook. Just don't interrupt him while he's cooking.

Chambrea, the housemaid. She dusts, cleans, washes; you name it!

Potter, the gardener. His flowers and crops are used for tea and dinner.

Clem, the groundskeeper. He keeps maintence of the mansion's structure (when he isn't busy napping, that is)

Another Halloween special for you, still focused on Luigi’s Mansion, and still kind of morbid! This one’s all about the staff of the Last Resort and how they met their ends!

Stewart “Steward” Bell, age 30 (1957-1987): Crushed by luggage when the belt on the cart snapped

Chambrea DuBois, age 42 (1922-1964): Murdered by her employer for stealing money from them

Duncan Krueller, age 33 (1952-1985): Shot by a robber who broke into the mall he was working at

Chef Auguste Soulffle, age 58 (1938-1996) Cooking fire burned down his kitchen with him in it

Amadeus Wolfgeist, age 53 (1754-1807): Heart attack brought on by stress and rage after his performance bombed

King Rory MacFrights, age 46 (764-810): Killed in a joust

Dr. Sylvester Potter, age 85 (1900-1985): Died of old age

(Bonus headcanon: He is the grandfather of the Three Sisters from the second game. They inherited their interest in plants from him, an interest they kept long after they died from an illness)

Mortimer “Morty” Wilson, age 29 (1928-1957): Crushed by a falling stage light while trying to film his masterpiece

Polterkitty, age 6 (2012-2018): Stray cat hit by a car and then enchanted by Hellen Gravely to gain extra powers

Ug, age 35 (25000 BCE-24965 BCE): Eaten by a T-Rex, the same one he is now possessing (since this is the Mario universe, humans and dinosaurs lived around the same time here)

Clement “Clem” Abernathy, age 38 (1948-1986): Hit his head and drowned in the sewers

Pharaoh Serpci I, age 31 (3051 BCE-3020 BCE): Commited suicide as part of a ritual to stop a sandstorm from ravaging her people

Nikki, Lindsey, and Ginny Hawthorne, age 15 (1972-1987): Stage they were performing on caught on fire due to a magic trick gone wrong

(Bonus headcanon: Nikki is the one with long pigtails, Lindsey is the one with the ponytail, and Ginny has the short pigtails)

Captain Fishook, age 70 (1920-1990) Pirate shark killed in a duel with Jonathan “Johnny” Jones, who took over his crew

Johnny Deepend, age 24 (1967-1991): Swim trunks got caught in a pool filter, causing him to drown

Gloria “DJ Phantasmagloria” Townes, age 26 (1973-1999): DJ equipment malfunctioned, electrocuting her

Hellen Gravely, age 40 (1978-2018): Commited suicide after she was suddenly rejected by her lover. After her death, she adopted Polterkitty, became obsessed with King Boo, and brought together the rest of the staff to help defeat Luigi.

After the events of the game, the ghosts (except for Hellen, Polterkitty, and King Boo) all got a second chance, and they now work at the Last Resort, which has since become a legitimate hotel.

Lm3 headcanons/I'm back!

Hey, I'm back after another while, lol.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone 🦃 or Christmas to those who celebrate early🎄

Anyway, I wanted to make a headcanon list of the boss ghost from Luigi's Mansion 3 since I'm currently hyperfixated on it again, lol. It's one of my favorite games, I especially love the ghosts too. I like to think that some of the boss ghosts can't really leave the hotel or choose to stay in the hotel due to rage, sorrow, obligation or just to chill(which is half-freed)

Freed soul = 🟡

Bound soul(by rage, sorrow, etc) = 🔵

Half freed = 🟢

These are my headcanons for them:

Steward: used to work at the hotel before it was taken over. Felt obligated to stay there 🔵

Chambrea: also worked there and also felt obligated 🔵

Kruller: Has nowhere else to really go after he died 🟡

Chef soufflé: Worked there and felt obligation too 🔵

Amadeus Wolfgeist: Out of rage for nobody taking him seriously as a pianist when he was alive. Decided to stay and terrorize any human who listens to him perform 🟢

King MacFrights: Out of vengeance for his fallen kingdom and the royal family 🔵

Dr. Potter: Stayed to take care of his plants. Just chilling 🟡

Morty: To make movies and express his ✨️art✨️ 🟡

Ug: Bound by the t-rex that ate him. Stays in the museum mostly 🔵

Clem: The janitor of the hotel. Felt obligated too, although can leave 🟢

Serpci: Just to chill. Doesn't hold any anger or grudge, died with honor but decided to stay and hang out 🟡

Nikki, Lindsey, and Ginney: Wanted to stay and show their magic to everyone in the hotel, trying to reach the fame they never could before they died 🟢

Captain Fishook: Isn't bound at all but chooses to stay and hang out with some of the minor ghosts his "crew". One of the more friendly ghosts as he died knowing he did what a captain should, but misses his past crew dearly. Can leave the hotel whenever he likes and floats around, feeling more free than ever before 🟡

Johnny Deepend: Only half bound by his sorrow. He died while playing water polo with his best friend as he accidentally got caught on some rocks. His friend was too late to save him and they both feel guilt. He just hopes his friend is ok and living his life 🟢

Phantasmagloria: Isn't bound but stays to chill and dance the afterlife away 🟡

Hellen gravely: Bound as she used to own the hotel + king boo, lol 🔵

Bonus:

Polterkitty + Polterpup: Were born and raised together accidentally but got separated. Polterpup was run over accidentally and Polterkitty died from falling ill 🟡(for both)

11th Hottest Ghost: Dr. Potter

This sure is a ghost alright, just not a super hot one.

Looks: I based the credentials for Potter with the time period Charles Darwin was alive: 19th century. Basically during this time a lot of traits seen as beautiful were also symptoms of tuberculosis, which was rampant during this time (Pale/tender skin with red cheeks and lips, thinness, etc.) This is an old bald man with dirty clothes who doesn’t care about looks and only practicality. The little touch of the flower is nice though.

Personality: If this man doesn’t exhude schadenfreude I don’t know what does. While he does take great care of his plants, including petting his man-eating plant during his boss fight, he does not exhibit the same behavior toward people. He laughs at Luigi’s misfortune in the various cutscenes with him, including the growth of several problematic plants such as a giant Venus Flytrap that grows to the ceiling of the gigantic floor to keep the button away from Luigi and a… pineapple plant that grows giant pineapples too. Even while being vacuumed up by Luigi, Dr. Potter makes the effort to THROW the button as much as he can away from Luigi (which Luigi can grow a plant to climb and get the button.) The only redeeming qualities of Dr. Potter��s personality is his care and hobby for growing plants, even making different themed rooms and giant plants to further embrace his hobby. He also seems to be a collector to, as indicated by what is presumably his room with various objects displayed on the walls in an organized fashion. Otherwise, yeah this is a sadistic old man.

Survival Rate: Pretty low, he carries his seeds wherever he goes in his backpack and can easily grow them, and we know how dangerous the plants he grows are (need I bring up the giant pineapple plant that produces pineapples that squash Luigi?)

Niceness Rate: Non-existent. The Niceness Rate only takes into consideration how he is nice toward potential romantic partners. From what we’ve seen with him interacting with Luigi, its been nothing but sadistic delight as he scares and makes simple tasks difficult for Luigi, such as moving an elevator button to the very top of the suite with a plant. We could consider how Luigi is a threat to ghosts by capturing them with a vacuum, but Dr. Potter laughs at Luigi’s misfortune instead of simply making tasks harder and then disappearing.

Overall, while Charles Darwin had a loving relationship with his wife and many kids, Dr. Potter is stuck being single for the rest of his afterlife. If you want a cruel elderly grandfather figure in your life, go for it ig!

Why? They're silly

Anyways so here's the Luigi's mansion 3 ghost names in french and what they mean. Most of them are based off rhymes or wordplay.

-Steward: Peter le Porteur

Translates to Peter the Porter. No explanation needed, you get it.

-Chambrea: Dominique la Domestique

Translates to Dominic the Maid

-Kruller: Virgile le Vigile

Translates to Virgile the watchman

-Chef Soulffle: Krem Brûlé

It's a wordplay on crème brûlé, that french-named dessert

-Amadeus Wolfgeist: Faust Note

It's a pun on fausse note, which translates to wrong note.

-King MacFrights: Roi McEffroi

Literally just translated his name as far as I know

-Dr. Potter: Professeur Foliane

It comes from fol, meaning "crazy" or "out of control plant" in the context of botany, "herbe folle", a "crazy grass" is a synonym for weed, and liane just means liana

-Morty: Oscar

-Ug: Grut

-Clem: Serge le Concierge/ Lucien le Gardien

For some reason, Clem got two names in french. I assume one is on the Canadian version and the other one is the France French version. Serge le Concierge translates to Serge the Caretaker. For Lucien, incidentally, the name comes from the Latin word "lux" (light) putting it in contrast with the darkness of the subterranean boilerworks area. "Lucien" is also an old-fashioned name, usually associated with French rural areas. Gardien also means caretaker in this context.

-Serpci: Cléo Patatras

It's a worplay on Cleopatra and whatever the fuck patatras means (it's just an onomatopoeia)

-Nikki, Lindsey & Ginny: Les sœurs mirage

Translates to the illusion sisters

-Captain Fishook: Capitaine dents-de-scie

Translates to captain sawtooth

-Johnny Deepend: Walter Polo

-DJ Phantasmagloria: surprisingly, her name is the same in french.
