â・ďžIn their love, they bloom like a dark rose, its thorns only striking those who try to escape. ďžď˝Ąâ
â Vi, Caitlyn, Sevika, and Jinx.
VI.
Vi would do anything to protect you, but her obsession consumes her, driving her to see threats in every corner, even where none exist. In her mind, danger lurks in the shadows, always watching, and you are the only one who can escape this threat... even if it isnât real.
Her irritable nature compels her to act impulsively, before her mind has the chance to halt the torrent of emotions. She doesnât hesitate to confront anyone, even if they are just a stranger who has approached you out of curiosity, convincing herself that anyone who crosses your path is a danger, no matter how harmless they seem.
Vi clings to her justification, arguing that her control is merely an expression of love, that everything she does is for your own good. But beneath those words lies a dark echo, as if she cannot fathom a world where you donât need her, where her influence is not vital to your survival.
Her gestures of affection, far from being tender, are invasive and violent. Her hugs, excessive and tight, feel as if she could crush you. The words she whispers in your ear, filled with intensity, steal the air between you, with a fervor bordering on obsession, as if sheâs marking you, immortalizing you in her world, only for herself.
Though her exterior is one of hardness, beneath that mask beats a deep fear: the fear of losing you. She knows that without you, her world would crumble, empty, incomplete. âIf you donât want me near, just tell me⌠but donât expect me to stand idly by while someone tries to take away the only thing that gives my life meaning.â
CAITLYN.
Caitlyn becomes ensnared in her own whirlwind of thoughts, convinced that her obsessive love is the only thing capable of offering you the care you deserve. She sees herself as the only one who can truly understand and protect you, regardless of the boundaries she must cross to keep you by her side.
With a sharp, calculating mind, Caitlyn weaves invisible threads around your life, orchestrating every detail so subtly that you're barely aware of her control. From the people you allow into your circle to the places you step foot in, everything is meticulously designed to keep you under her sway.
Using her charm, Caitlyn spins a web of carefully chosen words, manipulating your perception with a smile that conceals the darkness lurking inside her. She has no qualms about distorting the truth, lying, and creating parallel realities, all to ensure you remain bound to her, oblivious to the trap you've fallen into.
Her control over you goes beyond the physical; Caitlyn becomes an emotional necessity, feeding your dependency with gestures that seem loving but are, in reality, invisible chains. She makes you feel as though you cannot breathe without her presence, turning herself into an irreplaceable part of your life, a constant shadow you cannot escape.
Anyone who dares to get close is seen as an immediate threat, and Caitlyn doesnât need to resort to open violence. Her deadliest weapon is her influence, capable of destroying slowly, without anyone suspecting a thing. "Why waste time with them, darling? Iâll handle everything. Itâs much better if you follow my suggestions; I promise everything will be fine."
SEVIKA.
Sevika sees you as hersâlike a treasure no one else deserves to touch. Her obsession is a dangerous blend of control and overbearing protection. Should anyone dare to put you in harm's way, she will become the shadow that eliminates any threat, without remorse and with brutal precision.
Any intruder who gets too close will be stopped by her mere presence. The intensity of her gaze and the unyielding strength of her stance instill terror in even the bravest hearts. She needs no words: her silence is a warning, and her actions, the verdict.
Believing the world is a deadly trap for you, she begins to build a cage of isolation. Every argument she makes is wrapped in false sweetness: "Itâs for your own good, trust me," while the chains of her obsession tighten a little more with each passing day.
Flowers and sweet words are not her style, but her actions speak louder than anything. The moment she senses youâre in danger, she will unleash an inhuman fury, showing just how far sheâs willing to go to protect you.
Her emotions are a storm hidden beneath a mask of cold serenity. Every action is calculated, every decision made with precision. "I donât need to shout to show you how much I love you. You see it in what I do, don't you?" she murmurs, her voice calm yet carrying a weight that leaves no doubt about the intensity of her devotion.
JINX.
Jinx would always watch you with eyes filled with obsession, as if you were her precious toy, meant only for her. Her love is no simple feeling: itâs a wild, unpredictable whirlwind, packed with emotional explosions and flashes of madness. She cannot stand anyone else getting your attention, and her âjokesâ toward those who dare to come close often end in a macabre, lethal spectacle of destruction.
Within her chaos lies a desperate search for stability, and you are her anchor, but always on her terms. Trying to pull away or challenge her twisted world only triggers a collapse in her mind and a violent need to reaffirm her control over you.
Her love manifests in disturbingly creative forms: bombs adorned with hearts, explosive devices bearing your name, or "trophies" taken from those she deems rivals. Each one is a sickening declaration of how deep and dangerous her affection runs.
Her greatest fear is abandonment, trapped in the loneliness that haunts her. If she senses even the slightest hint that you might leave, sheâll do the unthinkable to make sure you stay by her side. It doesnât matter if she has to chain youâliterally or figuratively; in her mind, the end always justifies the means.
Jinx wonât hesitate to destroyâeven herselfâto keep you close. Her desperation drives her to dark extremes, hurting others or putting her own body at risk. âDo you see this? I did it for you. Now you canât deny how much I care. Youâre not going anywhere, are you?â

""The 4B movement will only work to radicalize more men into the alt-right pipeline." is the most INSANE take I think I've ever seen." For it to be insane, it would have to be wrong. Let's look at the logic here. Leftist women are telling Leftist men that they will be punished because the person Leftists didn't vote for was voted for by non-Leftists. Leftist men have two choices. Be gay. Is that a choice? Then conversion therapy was right. Be straight. Then only non-Leftist women are an option. Which means walking away from Leftism forever. "Let's be real, an incel is and incel is an incel." Except the term is now undefined, and the original incel isn't one because she found a partner.
"why the fuck is it MY RESPONSIBILITY to date someone" Sorry, I thought Leftists said "the personal is political" and then said EVERYTHING IS POLITICAL. If you make those claims, then ignore them when convenient, your philosophy is worthless. Leftism. Is. Worthless. No wonder people are walking away.
youtube
free speech
self defence for citizens
separation of corporation and state
protection of national borders from invasion
hiring based on merit rather than race.
To a Leftist, those things are fascism. To anyone who read anything about history, they are the direct opposite. Leftists don't read, they make stuff up. If it sounds good, they then believe it. "If all that stands between a man and fascism is a date with a woman" So you and your movement, by your logic, could save humanity if you could just manage a date ... and you refuse?
You know what men did when actual fascism happened?
Men volunteered to go and face shrapnel, starvation, drowning, decapitation, mutilation ... I gotta say, all you have to do, by your beliefs ... is turn up and eat some chips ... and you cannot manage it. You deserve your fate.
Leftism deserves to die.
"The 4B movement will only work to radicalize more men into the alt-right pipeline." is the most INSANE take I think I've ever seen.
Not because I don't think it has some level of merit. Let's be real, an incel is and incel is an incel. But because why the fuck is it MY RESPONSIBILITY to date someone so that they're not radicalized? If all that stands between a man and fascism is a date with a woman, that man is not a safe person for a woman to be with.

Ekko x Fem!Reader
content â drabble/hc; fluff, mentions of Scar, reader has tattoos
author's note â I love Ekko, that is all, moving forward, also I think I'm starting to like making drabbles/headcanons; I be locked in like a mf, and thank you for all the love on my previous drabble of Ekko!
wc â 0.725k
Ekko's exterior was a tough shell to crack
But once you broke through it, there was no going back
He was closed off, for many good reasons, letting the walls he built come crashing down when with you was one of the hardest things he's ever done
It took what felt like eons to build this trust, but he wasn't sure if seeing a future with anyone was possible
He didn't want to get his hopes up
He had admired your patience and drive, hence why he adores you deeply
Dating Ekko felt like a dream, he felt like an entirely different person when his guard was down
While that's expected, you just couldn't believe that this is the same man running a Rebellion
And you wouldn't if you hadn't known him as long as you did
You had worked hard to earn his affection, just as he did to earn yours
What he took to get you, he used to keep you
The small trinkets he'd built, especially when he would get ready for missions, and he wasn't sure if he'd be back the same day
The community he had built had also learned to trust you, he involved you constantly in the development of the community
You were beyond terrified of the ride he always stood on
When your days would require less labor, you often spent your leisure trying to ride it
You thought Ekko wouldn't know, but he secretly likes to watch you practice, holding in his laughs whenever you busted your ass
What really surprised him is how good your combat is
You often avoided confrontation and physical altercations, as you never thought it was necessary to open a can of whoop-ass if it could just be solved with a conversation
But if anyone were to swing at you, you sure do hit back..hard
It flusters him how well your form is, the way your muscles flex when you practice with him. You often took that to your advantage when sparring. You knew for sure you had him where you wanted if you just wore a tank top, showing your tattoos
He stutters when he sees your tattoos, like a lot
It actually embarrasses him, and you can tell
So you often wear clothes that cover them so he can focus lol
He also loves it when you give him scalp massages. You learned how to retwist his locs, and he didn't go to anyone else anymore after you perfected it
He still hasn't told you who the hell his barber is, he'll come back to your shared home with a fresh cut, and you go absolutely feral
He loves it and makes it known, constantly teasing you when you can't look him straight in the face
But he better hope he doesn't get a lineup when you're ovulating because his ass is yours for sure
He's not really a man for public displays of affection, as he often reserves it in the comfort of which others cannot see
If he ever does it in front of his crew, he's usually needy, but he usually reserves that for your eyes and ears only
Constant moaning and groaning if he would steal a kiss from you while you're working, or a gag whenever you held hands in front of them
It's all in good fun, I swear
Scar teased you about it the most, as he was Ekko's right-hand
He knew how Ekko felt about you before he did
And when Ekko didn't pry into your love life, Scar did it for him
Finding out what you liked, as Ekko never really thought about how to serenade you
He was always caught up in his work, he hadn't put any thought into it until he he did what he knew best and started making small trinkets for you
After you started dating, he didn't need to think about it as hard
It all started to feel natural to you. Falling in love with you was easy, loving you on purpose was the real challenge
Every thought, action, and consideration, it was intending to catch you
Lucky for him, the efforts were successful
He really didn't think in a million years he'd land such a wonderful person as you, but I assure you he thanks the gods every day for your love

Fanboy
Pairing: Law x Reader
NSFW
Summary: You get a little more than you bargained for when you decide to clean your Captain's office for him and stumble upon his smutty fanfiction. Warnings: Very Mild Angst, Smut, Fem!Reader, Roleplay, Fingering, Vaginal Sex, Edging, Minor Dacryphilia, Petnames (use of sweetheart and good girl) Word Count: 7.6k Notes: This was originally supposed to be a sub 2000 word silly one shot about Law writing Sora smut. As you can see, it very quickly got out of hand. I hope you all enjoy it!
You have come to terms with the fact your Captain does not and will never want you how you want him.
It was hard, at first, to hear his silky voice and see his strong hands and not imagine him saying what you want to hear as he holds you against the wall, fingers slipping slowly up your thighs to where you need him most. It got even harder a few years in, after he started wearing perpetually open shirts and coats, showing off the tattoos you so desperately want to trace your tongue across. But youâre finally starting to accept that he simply doesnât feel the same. His eyes donât linger on you when youâre around. He doesnât show you any leniency (not that you would expect any, of course, but itâs hard not to notice his favoritism for Bepo when he forgives him in an instant for a transgression he had you swab the deck for). He doesnât accept your help when you offer it, no matter how badly he needs it.
He just doesnât really want anything to do with you, or at least no more to do with you than anyone else on the ship. Penguin and Shachi, who unfortunately clocked your affection for your Captain years ago, have come up with a long list of excuses as to why he hasnât shown any signs of affection.
âHeâs shy.â
âHe gets embarrassed easily.â
âHeâs worried about the power gap.â
âHe only looks at you when you arenât looking.â
âYelling is how he shows his affection.â
And of course, your personal favorite.
âHeâs just a nerd. He doesnât know how to act around women.â
Shachi has repeated this one a lot, and as always you immediately dispute it. âThat cannot possibly be true, Shachi.â
âWhy not?â
âLook at him!â
âI know what he looks like. Doesnât change the fact he gets nervous.â
âCaptain has never, for even a single moment, shown any sort of hesitation or shyness in front of me. And heâs a grown man, a handsome one, not to mention a wanted pirate. You honestly expect me to believe heâs some shy little nerd who canât bring himself to talk to me? He just doesnât like me, Shachi. And thatâs fine. Iâm a big girl, I can handle it.â
âHandle what?â Penguinâs voice echoes in the small room he and Shachi share, which youâve decided to invade for the day.Â
âHer pining for Captain.â
âAh.â
You huff. âDonât say it like that.â
âLike what?â
âLike itâs likeâŚa fact of life. Something so easy to brush past.â
Shachi narrows his eyes in confusion. âI thought you said thatâs what you wanted to do. Be casual about it, and all.â
âYeah, I want to. It feels different when you do it.â Youâre pouting. You hate that youâre pouting.
Penguin gives you a pitying smile, dripping with good natured sympathy that makes you clench your jaw. âItâs tough, isnât it?â He sits on the edge of his bed, careful not to shift you too much. He pats your shoulder, tutting quietly. âItâs hard to get over somebody you donât really want to get over.â
âYeah,â you mutter. You finally lift your head, and once you make eye contact, his smile turns a little more teasing.
âI know a great guy you could use as a rebound.â
You sigh. âIs it you?â
He laughs. âWhoâs to say? You donât need him yet.â His smile softens again, something more genuine. âBut know that if you really do give up, there will be other guys. Other chances. Give this one a good shot, a real one, and if it doesnât work out? Come talk to us, and itâll all be alright.â
Shachi pipes up as well. âIt will work out, really. But if it doesnâtâŚâ he wiggles his eyebrows, and you canât help but finally give them the laugh they were clearly aiming for. Which becomes a full on giggle fit once they light up and give each other a massive high five at their victory. The room is warm, and you finally forget your worries for a moment.
âArenât you supposed to be working?â Lawâs voice cuts through you like ice, and your laughter stops in an instant. Shachi and Penguin are unphased, of course, still smiling freely.
âI just got off of my shift, Captain. I was going to take a nap, butâŚâ Penguin pokes your side, and you let out a soft squeak as you curl in on yourself. You donât miss the way Lawâs eyes narrow slightly at the contact, the way he seems to focus in on the noise. He must be annoyed with you, with how youâre taking up space somewhere you donât belong.
âIâm also off shift.â Your voice is small, embarrassingly so.Â
âI wasnât talking to you two.â Lawâs voice is just as flat and authoritative as always. Heâs nothing if not born to command. Youâd love to hear what commands he might give you, ifâ
No. Bad. Evil. Your mind betrays you, as it always does. You sit up so you can hide yourself behind Penguin, make yourself small and inconspicuous and hope that Law will stop looking at you with those beautiful piercing eyes. You donât know how long you can be normal under such an intense gaze.Â
âIâm on break,â Shachi defends, causing Lawâs eyes to shift over to him. You canât help but let out a sigh of relief as you feel the pressure of his gaze leave you, and you wrap your arms lightly around Penguin, allowing your forehead to fall forward and press into his back. You can feel the rumble of a laugh working its way through his chest, though you canât figure out why.
Lawâs voice is significantly harsher than before. âWell, end it.â You flinch, unused to him snapping quite so cruelly. Law may have a shorter temper than he would admit, but he never sounds quite so furious, especially not with Shachi and Penguin. He seems to realize this as well, because the next time he speaks is much gentler. âIâJust get back to work. I need everyone at their best right now.â
âAye aye, Captain!â Thereâs a hint of chuckle in Shachiâs voice, for some reason. He stands, bed creaking as he does. âYou can use my bed if you want to nap in here. Let Peng have his.â
You let out a soft whine, but peel yourself off of Penguin anyway. âNo, itâs fine, I should get back to my room anyway. I need a nap before I do anything else.â You think you see Law nodding in approval out of the corner of your eye, but when you turn to look at him, his eyes are firmly on Shachi, glaring at his back as he leaves. Just wishful thinking on your part, as always.Â
Penguin softly pats your back as you walk past. âChin up. Itâll all work out.â
âYeah, yeah.â
âWhatâll work out?â Law is staring at Penguinâs hand on your back.
âNothing!â You try not to sound panicked. You fail, of course.
His eyes narrow.
âSorry, Captain. This is a secret just for us lowly crew members. No captains allowed!â Penguinâs smile is relaxed and easy, and it almost manages to calm you down. You would love to play along, make a little joke out of it, but the idea of him finding out petrifies you. What if heâs disgusted by the idea? Horrified enough to kick you out of the crew, your home, your family? He wouldnât, you know that, but the image in your head is so clear. Your chest feels tight, your head fuzzy, and you think at some point you started holding your breath.
Law makes a noncommittal grunt, scowl still clear on his face, but he leaves. A small mercy.
âHey, take a breath, please. You look like youâre gonna pass out.â
âI feel like Iâm gonna pass out.â
âAre you gonna be alright to get back to your room? Do you need me to walk you?â Penguinâs hand rests gently on your elbow, and he looks ready to jump to your aid at any moment.
You give him a shaky smile. âIâll be alright. Anxietyâs never killed anyone. Probably.â You take care to walk as steadily as you can out of the room, avoiding eye contact with your Captain, whoâs waiting directly outside.
âYou okay?â His voice stops you in your tracks.
âYeah, Iâmââ You see the disbelief on his face. âIâve been better. But itâs okay. Iâll get there.â
âAre Penguin and Shachi giving you trouble? They mean well, but sometimes their jokes can go a little far. Iââ He clears his throat, eyes glancing away for a moment. âI could talk to them. If you need me to.â
You chuckle. This means he really has no idea heâs the source of your anguish. Good. âOh, no, itâs nothing like that. Theyâre actually helping me through something.â
He purses his lips. You imagine how soft theyâd feel on yours. âHelping you through something?â
âYeah. Iâve been struggling with it lately, and talking to them has really helped.â You stare intensely at the wall behind him, worrying that youâll come undone and say something you canât take back if you stare into his eyes for too long. Something about him just makes you want to melt under his gaze, and you canât afford to give in to the impulse.
He hums, eyes briefly fluttering closed. âI see. Well, Iâm glad you have their support.â Is it just you, or is his voice a bit colder than it was before? âIâll leave you be. Have a nice nap.â
âThanks, Captain.â You try not to run back to your room until youâre sure he canât hear your footsteps anymore. You change out of your boiler suit, desperate to be in something more comfortable than this, and throw yourself into your bed face first. You press your face into your pillow, trying to ground yourself. You arenât allowed to imagine what it would feel like to lay on Lawâs chest instead, his hands on your back, tracing meaningless patterns into your skin. You arenât allowed to imagine the warmth of the blankets as his, or the comfort of your weighted blanket as his arm around your back. You certainly arenât allowed to cry about the fact that it isnât him, and that it never will be. Because that would mean you werenât getting over him, instead getting lost in a fantasy of what can never and will never be. And you have no time for fantasy, despite what your heart keeps trying to tell you.Â
You dream of him, as you always seem to.
You could cope with it, if it were simply sex. If it were about nothing more than his cock and his hands and the way his voice penetrates deep into your bones whenever you hear it, turning you pliable and needy. But todayâs dream is one youâve had before, and one you always dread.
I love you. His hands are gentle as they wrap around your waist, pulling you close. I canât imagine my life without you in it. His nose nuzzles against your neck, tickling you and making you giggle.
I love you too, Law. I think I always have. Your hands rest on his chest, and you can feel his heart beating below your fingers, quick and thundering. You smile. Nervous?
Of course I am. Look at you. His eyes bore into yours, and you can see the affection flooding them. His nose brushes against yours, his lips growing closer, and his eyes flutter shut.
Yours shoot open.
No matter how many dreams you have about Law, you can never kiss him. How sad, that your brain can imagine a hundred ways he can fuck you and not one in which gives you the one thing youâve been craving most.
You throw off your covers and throw on a bra, not bothering to get fully dressed. You need some air, which is unfortunate, considering the Tang wonât surface for at least another day or two. You can at least go downstairs and find a window, press yourself against the glass and pretend youâre out in the cold of the ocean, at peace with the world around you. You can avoid passing Lawâs office, and hopefully that means youâll avoid the man himself. You donât want to burst into tears the moment you see him, and you feel too soft and fragile right now, like your edges are crumbling. Half of you is still in the dream, melting into fantasy, and being snapped into reality with a single look might shatter you.
You pad quietly out into the hallway, unsure of what time it is, not wanting to wake anyone. Itâs impossible to tell what time of day it is on the Tang when youâre underwater, lit only by harsh fluorescents that constantly buzz. Itâs peaceful, feeling the cold metal of the floors seep through your socks and hearing the quiet thunk of your footsteps muffled by the fabric.Â
âAre you heading downstairs?â
You turn to see Bepo, shifting uncomfortably on his feet, papers in hand. âYeah, I am. Why? Do you need something?â
âCan you run these to Captain for me? I would, butââÂ
You see him wince as he speaks, and you immediately know what the problem is. Before you can even think about it, youâre swiping the papers from his hands easily. âYeah, of course, big guy. Iâll take care of it.â
âThank you so much!â Heâs off in an instant.
You stare at the papers, willing yourself into reality. Youâre going to bring something to your captain. The man you have no other relationship with. Just doing your job. And afterwards you can go back to your room and cry all you want, if you really feel like you need to.
Law should be in his office right now, buried up to his neck in paperwork. It doesnât feel great to add to that pile, or to let him see you so underdressed, but Bepo needed help. You canât let him suffer just to avoid some embarrassment. You make your way down, knocking lightly against his office door.
No voice calls you inside.
Strange. He should be here. Maybe he fell asleep at his desk again. Youâve heard the others scold him for that dozens of times, and youâve caught him yourself once or twice. Heâs going to ruin his back if he keeps doing that. You crack open the door, ready to shift him into a more comfortable position, but you find your Captain isnât actually there at all. His desk is a mess, papers everywhere, a sharp contrast from the neatly organized shelves and minimalist look of the rest of the room.
âMaybe I should tidy up for him,â you mutter to yourself. Law hates asking for help with things he believes he should be able to handle on his own, but clearly this is getting away from him. And even if he wasnât grateful for the intrusion, at least it might lighten his load a little. Youâd do nearly anything to ease your Captainâs burdens, if heâd just let you.
Before you realize it, your hands are on the papers, your former fragility forgotten as you get lost in the calm that such a mundane task brings you. You start by simply organizing the papers into stacks based on their titles and a quick skim of their opening paragraphs. You donât read any further, not wanting to read anything not meant for your eyes, and you quickly find youâre able to organize everything into three neat stacks: medical papers, ship logs, and a third stack of anything that doesnât fit into the previous two. Youâre nearly finished when you find a title that makes you pause.
You canât figure out what What You Canât Have could mean, or what this bundle of papers is doing in Lawâs office. Skimming the first few paragraphs doesnât give you any explanation, until you start reading more closely and see a name: Sora.
Everyone in the North Blue knows about Sora, Warrior of the Sea, and everyone on this ship knows it more intimately than most. Your Captainâs fondness for the series and your fondness for him means you know it very well, well enough to know this is not one of the noncanonical (but still official) spinoff novels, or a novel adaptation of one of the comics. Thereâs a character youâve never heard of before in this, one that, if you were a more paranoid person, you would suspect is based on you. She canât be, of course. That would be ridiculous. But as you read her introductory paragraph, you canât help but notice she bears a striking physical resemblance to you. Same hair and eye color, same height, same build. But she canât be you. Sheâs described as seductive, enchanting, and many other things you know nobody would ever say about you.
You should put this down. But the writing style is so familiar, and so are the handwritten edits in the margins. Your captain wrote this. You had no idea this was what he did in what little spare time he has. You keep telling yourself to stop reading, to tuck it away and pretend you didnât see it, because really, you know he wouldnât want you to have seen it, easily embarrassed as he is. But thereâs so much passion in the words, so much care, and frankly? Itâs good. Really good. You think he has some real talent, in something you would have never expected him to even try. His care for the series oozes from every word, and heâs really good at building tension, andâ
Oh.
Your captain hasnât just been writing fanfiction about his favorite hero.
Heâs been writing smut.
Really good smut, honestly.
You lean against the desk, completely enraptured by his work. The tension between Sora and this unnamed woman is astonishing, every single word winding you up tighter as you wait for the dam to break. Before you know it, youâre fully bent over the desk, clutching the page in your hands, trying not to rub your thighs together at the very graphic descriptions of what Sora is doing with his hands. You imagine Lawâs hands, lithe and long, sliding under your shirt like Soraâs do under this mystery womanâs. You imagine his breath puffing against your ear as he instructs, be good for me, now, and maybe you can finally get what you want, just like Sora does. You imagine him moving impossibly closer, feeling his hardness press into your thigh asâÂ
âWhat are you doing in here?â
You freeze. Your captain is standing in the door, papers in hand and scowl severe. If you didnât know better, you would think for a moment his eyes lingered on the cleavage youâre showing by leaning over this far. But you do know better, so you tell yourself heâs simply observing the papers in your hands, even if his gaze seems aimed too high for that. You shoot up, papers still in hand, shirt riding up in the process, and god does it look like his eyes dip down to your exposed midriff in the process. But they donât. You have more pressing matters than your delusions, anyway.
âHi Captain!â
â...Hi.â
âIâUm. I was organizing your desk for you.â
His eyes linger on the three stacks of papers, humming quietly. âI see that. âŚWhy?â
âBepo had me run papers down to you, but you werenât here, andâand your desk was so messy, so much messier than usual, and I was worried maybe you were overwhelmed and I thought it might help.â Youâre speaking a mile a minute, clutching the papers close to your chest in some desperate attempt to ground yourself, but the sound of the papers wrinkling causes him to glance down and now youâre sure that just for a moment he was looking at your boobs and youâre far more flustered than you were when you began.
And even worse, he smiles. Itâs a soft, gentle thing, which sneaks so slowly onto his face you donât even know if he realizes itâs there. But it is. And itâs beautiful. âThank you, then. I appreciate the thought.â
Your grip eases on the papers for a second, and the crinkling brings his attention back to them. You donât know what gives it away, but with the way his eyes widen slightly, the way his lips part, you know that he knows what you have in your hands. The way he whispers your name, the fear in it, makes your heart clench.
âCaptainââ
âDid youâIââ He takes a breath, gathers himself. âDid you read anything you werenât supposed to?â
God, you did. Youâre halfway through a sex scene, flushed and flustered and thinking about your captain in ways that are wholly and completely inappropriate. Youâre panicking. You canât let Law see how flustered you are, canât let him realize that you were fantasizing about him, lusting after him in his office while heâs out like some kind of pervert. So, trying to turn this around on him, throw him off his rhythm, you decide to make a deeply out of character choice.
You open your mouth, taking a dramatic breath as though you're going to start reading aloud, and you can see the panic in Law's eyes. Before you can decide between reading and handing it over to spare him the embarrassment, you hear âShambles!â as the papers in your hand are swapped with the ones he walked in with. You're momentarily disappointed, before you look down and are struck with intense and all consuming delight.
In trying to get the fanfiction out of your hands, Law has, in fact, given you more of his fanfiction to read.
You gasp quietly, cheshire cat grin widening. Law looks at you with confusion, clearly still so thrown he hasn't realized what's just transpired. In your current state, you can only think of one way to inform him.
"Her hands were soft and gentle, so small compared to his-"
"STOP." He lunges forward around the desk, powers forgotten as he decides to bullrush you to get the papers out of your hands. His hands wrap around your wrists, and before you know it youâre pinned against the desk, chests pressed together, his leg pressed between your thighs. You flush, overwhelmed by the sensation of his hard body against yours, but he doesnât seem to notice. âDo you think this is funny?â
You open your mouth to respond, but his lips are so close, and you feel something else pressing into your midriff. You make a small choked noise, and his glare doesnât dampen.
âAre you trying to embarrass your captain?â
âIâuhâCaptainââ You can barely squeak out anything, and he presses closer.
âAnswer me.â
âYouâre so close.â
He pauses.
He blinks.
And suddenly your captain is across the room, face bright red, holding his papers in front of his chest like a shield. âIâum.â He stares at you a moment, his eyes moving from your face to your chest to your hips and back up, and suddenly the papers shifts down in front of his crotch.
He couldnâtâŚ
Could he?
Before you can process this, heâs speaking again, his tone far less authoritative than it was before. âHow far did you read?â
âUhâpretty far.â
You could swear his voice cracks a little as he whispers, âOh god. This isâyou were never supposed to see that.â
âI know, Iâm sorry. I didnât mean to keep reading, it was justâit was really good.â
He stares at you a moment, mouth agape. âWhat?â
âIt wasâI liked it a lot. I didnât even mean to start it, I just couldnât figure out what pile to put it in, and then I got really invested, andâIâm really, really sorry, Captain.â
âYou liked it?â His eyes are narrowed, looking at you like something dangerous, like if he shows a moment of weakness youâll pounce. He approaches you slowly, inching closer and closer.
â...Yeah. I did. I was really impressed, actually. I didnât know you were a writer.â
He scoffs. âI wouldnât call myself that.â
âWhy?â
âI justâŚdonât know if Iâm good at it.â He sounds small in a way youâve never heard him. Youâve never seen Law less than confident before. He absolutely radiates it, a constant smug grin and twinkle in his eyes. It suits him far better than slumped shoulders and wringing hands.
âAre you kidding? It was amazing. What I was able to read, anyway. I couldnât bear to put it down.â You reach for him for just a moment, your hand ready to touch his shoulder, but something in you pulls it back. You canât bring yourself to touch him, not as you are.Â
He wonât look at you. You can feel his regret in sharing, in allowing his mask to crack slightly. Thereâs a bitterness to his tone as he snaps at you like a wounded animal. âYou expect me to believe that? That you didnât just read it to laugh at me?â
You canât keep the pity off of your face. His first instinct is always to believe heâll be hurt, that an open hand is a sign of a slap, and not a kind touch. âWhy on earth would I do that, Captain?â
His shoulders unknot a bit as he thinks it over. You have never done anything to hurt him, and to tease in such a cruel way is not in your nature. Heâs not relaxed, not quite, but he isnât ready to run anymore. He leans against a nearby table, parking himself at a distance but assuring you he wonât go further. âI suppose you wouldnât. âŚSo you really liked it?â
The way heâs looking at you is so fragile, so soft. You feel your heart clench at the sight of such a guarded man looking so adorable, though you know he would hate to be called such a thing. You canât help the affection that leaks into your gentle smile as you look at him. âI really did.â
He huffs, trying to bring back up his walls, but he canât hide his relief, and his continued interest. âWhat did you like about it?â
âI thought the descriptions were very vivid. It wasâŚâ It feels like crossing a line you canât uncross to call it hot, but heâs looking at you so expectantly. âVery stimulating.â
Something akin to a smirk grows on his face, offset by the dust of a blush on his cheeks. His voice is an octave deeper when he speaks. âSimulating?â
You shiver. âIâuhâyes. The leads had really good chemistry. I never imagined Sora would be socharming. And I liked the woman too, though I have to admit I didnât recognize her name.â
He nods. âYou wouldnât. Sheâs an original character.â
âOh, really?â
âYeah, I wanted to try my hand at something new, and I didnât like pairing him with any of the canon characters so I justâŚmade one up.â
You shift nervously on your feet, thinking about how remarkably familiar her description was. âSo you made her just for this? Didnât even give her a name?â
âI havenât decided her name yet, but Iâm working on it. And yeah, sheâs just for this. Why?â
You want to be subtle, ease your way in, but your mind is running a mile a minute and frankly subtlety has never been your strong suit anyway. âSoâŚis she supposed to be me?â
He shoots up so quickly he nearly falls over. âWhat? No! No, why would you think that?â He looks absolutely mortified, like heâs praying the floor swallows him whole. He looks about two seconds away from shambling himself out of the sub and letting the ocean take him away.
âWell in her intro, when you describe herâŚshe looks a lot like me.â
â...She does?â He seems genuinely surprised, and you canât help but laugh.
âWhy are you asking? Youâre the writer! You didnât realize?â
âNo, IâŚâ Heâs blushing to the tips of his ears. âShe was just supposed to be a beautiful woman. I didnât think that hard about what she looked like beyond that.â
âShe has the same hair color and eye color as me, you describe her as around my height, and the dress sheâs wearing in her intro is my favorite color.â
His shoulders are so tense theyâre practically up over his ears. If his voice cracks when he yells, youâre kind enough not to acknowledge it. âI didnât think that much about it! I just thought of a beautiful woman and I described her.â
âSo when you think of a beautiful woman in your head, you see me?â
He doesnât answer.
You try to hide your giddy smile. âThatâs sweet, Captain.â
He avoids eye contact so aggressively you swear it must be hurting him at this point. âIt wasnâtâIâI didnât notice. You donât think itâsâŚcreepy?â
âThat you think Iâm beautiful?â
âThat I wrote porn about a woman who looks exactly like you.â
âOh. When you put it like that I guess it doesnât sound great.â He tenses again, so you rush to reassure him. âBut no, I donât think itâs creepy. Itâs not like you meant to, or anything. Or that you wrote about me and like, another member of the crew or something. Why would I be mad that I just happen to be exactly your type?â Your heart is beating out of your chest as you try to portray a confidence you certainly donât feel.Â
âRight. Yeah. IâThereâs nothing wrong with that.â
He didnât deny it.
âAnd itâsâŚgreat porn, honestly.â
Your delivery is so awkward the tension finally breaks as he laughs at you. âI appreciate that. I worked hard on it. But Iâm not sure on some of the descriptions.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âIâm not sure it reads as true to life.â
âDoes it need to?â
âNo, not really, fantasies donât have to be realistic. ButâŚI canât help but think about it anyway. What if part of it is so unrealistic it takes you out of it entirely, and I just didnât notice? Or didnât know because Iâve never tried that specific thing? Do you know what I mean?â
You do. You know insecurity in your work, the way it whispers in your ear. You know that words are not enough reassurance to silence those whispers. You want to help him, even if you donât know how you could.
âWhat if weâŚtested it? To see if itâs realistic?â You canât believe the words that just left your mouth. From the look on his face, Law canât either.
âWhat?â A beautiful crimson streaks across his face and up to his ears, heat radiating off of him.
âOh my god. Forget I said that, that was so inappropriate, Iâll just goââ
âNo!â Heâs so loud you both flinch, and he seems surprised by his own objection. His long fingers are wrapped around your wrist, and you can feel his calluses brush against your skin. God, what you wouldnât give for those fingers to be somewhere else. âNo, donâtâdonât leave. I thinkâI wouldâum. Iâd like that.â
You blink. âYou would?â
âJust toâŚtest it. To make sure my writing is accurate. Iâm a perfectionist.â
âRight.â
âYeah.â His eyes flicker down to where heâs holding you, and to your surprise, he doesnât release his grip. He tugs you closer, pressing your chests together, and you can feel his warm breath in his ear. âAre you ready?â
âYes, Captain.â
âLaw.â
âWhat?â
The deep rumble of his voice is commanding in a way that has you rubbing your thighs together. âI want to hear you say my name. Call me Law.â
âYes, Law.â
You can feel his smirk as he whispers the next words in your ear. âGood girl.â
Heat rushes to your face, and you bite your lip to keep from making any deeply embarrassing noises. He chuckles as he pulls away, and you see no trace of his earlier apprehension or nerves. You suppose Law has always been a good liar, always putting up the front of the proud, confident, and unshakable Surgeon of Death. What is this but another part for him to play?
âHow did it start again?â He places his hands on your hips, leading you away from the desk and toward the wall. âShe and Sora meet up in the club, strike up a conversationââ
âCan we skip to the good part?â You hate how needy and breathless you sound. Youâre already worked up from reading, from hearing him speak, from being so close, that you think if you spend another minute without some kind of release you might explode.
He chuckles. âI guess we can skip forward a bit.â He presses you against the wall, hand sliding to your thigh. You shiver, but he stops right before his fingers slide under your shorts. âBut have you been good enough to earn it?â
You whine, a pathetic, wounded sound that comes from deep within you. For a moment, you see his facade slip as he swallows, trying not to give away how much the sound turned him on. But after a moment his mask settles back firmly in place, and youâre both ready to continue the game. âPlease, Law. Iâve been good. Iâll be good.â
His smile is all teeth as his fingers find their place inside of you. First one, pumping slowly and deliberately, curling to hit your sweet spot just right. He moans quietly in your ear at the feeling of it. You know his line before he says it. âDo you feel that? The way youâre pulling me in? You need me bad, sweetheart, donât you?â
He inserts a second finger right as you open your mouth to answer. âAhhâYes! I need you!â
He pumps harder, faster, and his other hand starts to wander towards your chest. His lips find your neck, nipping at the point where it meets your jaw, making you gasp again. His hand gently squeezes your breast through your shirt, and he can feel your hardened nipples through the fabric. He chuckles. âYes, you do. Nobody else can make you feel as good as I can. You know it. Thatâs why youâre here, thatâs why youâre so drawn to me. On some level you know: itâs just you and me. Weâre all there is, all that matters. Isnât that right?â
âYes, Law! Yes!â
His free hand effortlessly removes your shirt, and you gasp as youâre exposed to the air, your back pressing into the cold wall. He removes your bra next, letting out a soft hiss of appreciation when he finally sees them fully exposed. âAs beautiful as I imagined,â he whispers, seemingly to himself. You donât remember that line.
His mouth finds your nipple easily, sucking and nipping as you threaten to come undone under his attention. His fingers are still moving, his thumb on your clit, building the tension in your body until you feel like youâre going to explode. Youâre so very close to the edge, close enough that in your pleasure you forget the next part of the story for a moment.
Until his fingers leave you.
âNo!â Your head slams back into the wall as you wail, tears welling up in your eyes. Law seems unaffected, pulling back from you as he slowly inserts his fingers into his mouth, savoring your taste. The only sign that youâve shaken him is the clear strain of his cock under his jeans, desperate to be free.
His fingers leave his mouth with a pop, and he smiles at you, eyes half-lidded. âDid you think it was going to be that easy? That you would just get what you want, no questions asked?â
You whine, the sound filled with genuine despair. The room is silent for a moment as he stares at you, waiting for your next line, and you try to remember the part youâre supposed to play here. You just barely manage to grasp it, breathlessly saying, âI thought you were a better man than to leave a lady wanting.â
He slides off his tank top, revealing his beautiful tattoos to you. âOh, honey, this isnât about what you want. Itâs about what you need. And how wonderful itâll be, once youâre so on edge you can barely stand it, and I finally give in to you. Can you imagine it?â He pops the button of his pants next, sensually sliding them and his boxers down to expose his bare hips. âWhat itâll feel like, when Iâm finally inside of you?â
His cock is finally free, bobbing in the air as it leaks with precum. He looks painfully hard, and you swallow as you briefly imagine it in your mouth. Youâd give almost anything to taste him right now, but that isnât a part of the scene.
âYouâll feel so full, honey. Imagine how good itâll feel to cum on my cock. Isnât that worth the wait?â
âGod, yes.â
âGood girl. So agreeable.â One hand finds your hips as he uses the other to line himself up. âAre you ready?â
âYes, god, please.â
He slowly slides in, feeling the drag of every inch of his dick against your walls. He makes a strangled noise at the feeling, burying his face into your neck as he desperately tries to catch his breath. He stops once heâs fully sheathed in you, giving you both a moment to adjust.
And then another.
And another.
âLaw?â
You can hear him chuckle against you. âWhat, darling?â
âPlease, Law.â
He pretends to ponder whether or not to give in for a moment, keeping you in suspense, before he relents. He pulls away from your neck, revealing his extremely red face. His voice may be calm, but the rest of him cannot hide the effects youâre having. âWhat do you want, sweetheart? Use your words.â
You know the line youâre supposed to say next. She tells Sora she wants relief, wants him to move, wants anything that she can have. But youâre soft, and weak, filled with want. You cannot help but think of your dream this morning, what you were denied and what youâve always wanted. So you speak the honest truth. âI want you to kiss me.â
He stares at you for a moment, eyes searching yours. You see your own want reflected in him, an affection that makes your chest ache. Then a smile blooms across his face, one gentler than you deserve. The line he says next is Soraâs, but what comes after is all Law. âWhatever the lady wants,â he murmurs, before his lips meet yours.
The kiss isnât fireworks, or an all consuming flame, or any other way youâd ever heard such a thing described. It was tender, it was kind, and most importantly, it was Law. Youâd never wanted anything else. It finally confirms to you that this isnât a dream, that heâs really here, pressing you against this wall, a desire burning in him that only you can satiate. The lust is still here, the heat of your bodies intertwined, but thereâs something tender and real beneath it.Â
Once you both pull back, panting, you look into his eyes and know the scene is well and truly over. Now itâs just you and Law, breaths mingling and hearts pounding. He smiles at you, a nervous, delicate thing, his confidence left behind with the script. Heâs breathless as he whispers, âDo you have any idea how long Iâve wanted to do that?â
You let out a soft, unsure laugh. âIs that Law talking, or Sora?â
He brushes his nose against yours. âItâs all me. It always has been.â
You canât help your lovesick smile, dripping with a saccharine fondness you couldnât hide if you tried. You meet his lips again, a kiss with a little more fire, a little more desperation. You try to convey everything you canât say aloud: the years of yearning, the pain of thinking this moment would never come, the euphoria of learning you were wrong. Your hands press against his chest, his pulse fluttering under your fingers in unison with your own. You wrap your legs around his waist, desperate to pull him ever closer. He lets out a soft sound, almost a whimper, at the feeling of your lips against his as you clench around him. His tongue slips into your mouth, and once again the air around you grows ever hotter.
âCan I move?â Thereâs a whine to his voice. âPlease.â
âPlease do,â you moan, wrapping your arms around his neck and pressing your chests together.Â
He needs no further instruction, thrusting harshly, hips rutting against yours. You can feel him struggle to hold himself back from pounding into you at a bruising pace. His hands grip your hips, his nails digging in as he clenches his teeth.
âYou donât have to hold back, Law. Iâll take anything you want to give me.â
He struggles to speak through his self control. âI want to enjoy this. I want to take my time.â Another deliberate thrust has you dragging your nails down his back, making him moan in your ear. âI want this to be as good as it can be for you.â
âThis isâahh!âalready better than Iâd ever dreamed, Law.â
One of his hands moves to your clit, his fingers starting a steady motion. âNot good enough,â he mutters. His lips find your neck, placing open mouthed kisses along its length, his teeth grazing your skin. You feel yourself coming close to cumming again, your voice growing louder, echoing through the room as you babble. You donât even know what youâre begging for, the words please and more and Law are all you can say, all you can think. There is nothing in the world beyond the feeling of him against you, inside of you, his soft lips and callused hands.Â
You expect him to rip away your pleasure again, but when he briefly stills, your babbles turn to sobs anyway. He pulls back to look you in the eye, take in the sight of the tears running down your face, and you can see him soften once again. His hands and hips start moving again immediately as he presses soft kisses against your cheeks, clearing away your tears.
âSorry, sorry, itâs alright. Youâre doing great. I wonât take it from you again, I promise.â His voice is filled with pity. âYouâve been so good, you can take what you want now.â He builds you back up quickly, his hips pressing into yours even faster than before. You can feel yourself about to burst, and you slam your lips into his, moaning into his mouth. The dam finally bursts, and the pleasure nearly blinds you as you clench around him, his hips struggling to keep moving with how tightly your legs are wrapped around his waist. Your orgasm is what finally makes him break, filling you to the brim as his movements stutter.
You bask in the feeling for a moment, both panting and dripping with sweat, his cock rapidly softening inside of you. Your head lolls forward, pressing into his shoulder, and you press a kiss against his sticky skin.
âWas it worth the wait?â He tries to ask the question in a teasing tone, but you can hear the insecurity underneath it.
âIt was worth everything and more.â You shift to wrap your arms tighter around him and nuzzle your face into his neck.Â
You can feel the rumble of his chest as he chuckles, gathering you up as he slips out of you. âAgreed.â He kisses the side of your head, an action so filled with care it nearly makes you burst into tears again. He tries to lower you onto something, making you pull him closer and whine. âI just need to set you down for a second, sweetheart. Iâll be right back.â
âNo.â You sound like a pouting child, making you cringe, but he laughs fondly anyway.
âAlright. A few more minutes. But I have to clean you up eventually, and then we need to find a place a bit more private to settle in, donât you think? Or at least somewhere more comfortable.â
You hum quietly, pressing your nose further into him. You can worry about logistics in a few minutes. Right now you just want to bask in his warmth, in this dream turned reality, in the absolute joy of your feelings being reciprocated. âI really didnât think you liked me,â you mutter sleepily. âIâm glad I was wrong.â
âI could say the same,â he murmurs into your hair.
You laugh. âShachi and Peng are going to be so smug about this.â
âThey are?â
âTheyâve been trying to tell me for years, and they donât get to tell me I told you so very often.â
âThey were telling you too?â He laughs. âWe could have done this months ago if weâd just believed them.â
âYeah,â you whisper, your eyes starting to slip shut. âYouâre worth the wait, though.â
You can hear the smile in his voice as his hand rubs soothing circles on your lower back, luring you further into sleep. âYeah. So are you.â

Me: I don't really like modern art. Kat: Did you see that Jacob Geller video? Me: I did. I didn't meant that I don't like modern art in a facscist way, just like ... I don't like it. I look at the paintings, at Rothko, and I just don't get it. Kat: A lot of it you have to see in person, I think. The pictures don't really do it justice, especially Rothko, some of those are huge, and you just stand in front of it and it's like ... as close as I've had to a religious experience. Me: I mean, I went to the Museum of Modern Art in Washington, D.C. And I went to the Tate Modern. And whatever the one in Seoul was called, and another in San Francisco, the de Young Museum. I've seen, in person, stuff from Rothko and Pollock and a bunch of the other Abstract Expressionists. Kat: That ... is a lot of modern art museums for someone who doesn't like modern art. Me: I want to like it. I hear the way people talk about it, how a Rothko evokes these emotions in them, and it's like all I can see is paint on canvas. I don't know. Like I'm blind. Kat: You're the opposite of a tortured artist. An art viewer who tortures himself. Me: It's not that. I mean, some of the stuff I really do get something from. It's not all Rothko. I don't walk into every art museum and just groan in agony. But there are this class where ... people like this stuff, and in my head I'm like "people like this stuff?" Kat: They do. I do. Me: Right, and I do believe that. But there's this part of me that's struggling against the human instinct to go "no, they're all lying for some reason, it's a game of peer pressure, or clout chasing". I think that way lies madness. I think that's a trap that people fall into all the time, because they do the typical mind thing, and they say "well if I don't like modern art, no one else must like modern art". Kat: And you're trying to correct for that by ... looking at a bunch of modern art you don't enjoy. Me: Kind of, yeah. I saw Barnett Newman's Stations of the Cross and I thought the idea of it was interesting, the journey of Christ as laid out in only a handful of brushstrokes. But the actual paintings, I just had never felt further from my fellow man than looking at them and trying to understand them. I sat and tried to meditate, to clear my mind, to let some thought come to me, but it was still just paint on canvas. Kat: And you're what, just going to keep going to modern art museums? Me: If I'm in a city with one, sure. Because sometimes there's something that speaks to me, it's just never the Abstract Expressionist stuff. Kat: I cannot imagine doing that, repeatedly viewing something in a genre you don't like. Is it because it's high status? Because you're clout chasing? Me: I don't think so. I think it's just alien to me, no matter how many reviews I've read extolling the works, how many people have explained these individual pieces. And you know, when we went to the one in D.C., we had our son with us, and he was looking at all this stuff too, and when we went out I asked him which was his favorite. He said it was one of the Pollocks, Lavender Mist. Kat: Cute. See, the kid gets it. Me: I asked him what he liked about it, and he said to me, "you can see the drips". Kat: Sometimes that's all there is to it.

Entry 12: The One Where We Start Laying the Yellow Brick Road to Italy
I realized the other day that, even though I like to bounce around from place to place in the Lukola timeline, I probably needed to start tightening things up on the ship if I ever wanted to get to the end of the story. And, yes, dammit, this story better have a finale at some point because thereâs nothing more annoying than an open-ended ending, particularly in the romance genre.
Today weâre going to take a quick jaunt over to Italy because â
NO! Not because Luke is allegedly filming there. If youâre into real-time stalking, youâre in the wrong blog. But, Iâm sure thereâs a Discord for that.
Itâs because Iâve had several people ask for my opinion about the change in behavior between Luke and Nicola during their Day 1 interviews there. Wait â people are interested in my thoughts? Wow, thatâs actually kind of nice. Thank you! Okay, back to what I was saying â
Was there a change in behavior when Luke and Nicola reached Italy? Yeah, actually, there kind of was.
By May 9, we had been gifted with a slew of material from Luke, Nicola, and the Bridgerton cast and, I must admit, those early interviews are some of the most entertaining of the tour. In the very beginning, Nicola appeared as the utmost professional â charming, intelligent, and witty at the right moments â and Luke played her likeable counterpart to âBook Colinâ perfection â bouncing between being awkwardly boyish and wickedly roguish, all while looking at Nicola like she had just served him homemade peanut butter crumble.
The two of them together, playing off each other, in my opinion, was better than Bridgerton Season 3 (you cannot beat the World Tour being 99% Luke and Nicola, with only a few random side characters taking up screentime). There was some major âElectric Loveâ radiating from those two throughout the tour, but it seemed very much heightened in the beginning (probably because they hadnât yet answered the same question 67 times). By the way, if you havenât heard that song by Børns, go have a listen. It will, at the very least â hopefully â put you in an upbeat mood for the day.
Now, where was I? Oh, yes â was there a change in behavior between Luke and Nicola when they reached Italy?
Absolutely.
Do I know why?
Absolutely not.
Perhaps Luke was bent because someone spilled his coffee, or Nicola was upset because her stylist made her to wear that little silver bow in her hair. In my opinion, the most intriguing part of Day 1 of the Italy press junket was that Luke and Nicola struggled with answering the question, âWhat is love?â I swear they both babbled on like two kids in debate class who hadnât bothered to read the material given to them before taking their respective podiums. They finally seemed to settle on Lukeâs âMaybe itâs, like, connection.â Well, they seemed to be missing the âconnectionâ that day.
Honestly, no one can explain their âdonât stand so close to meâ vibe during those first day interviews except Luke and Nicola. But, we can at least have some fun and speculate about it with a birdâs eye view. At this point, you should know that I love spreading the puzzle pieces out and seeing how they might all connect. Most people â when putting a puzzle together â start with the side pieces, right? Youâll get my joke in a moment (I hope).
In March 2024 â I donât know the specific date because my timeline is rather murky going back that far (I was unaware Lukola even existed!) â Luke traveled to Los Angeles for a photo spread with InStyle magazine. Iâve heard two versions of this story. The first being that Luke traveled to Los Angeles with Antonia alone; the second being that he traveled to Los Angeles with his friend group, which included Antonia. I couldnât tell you which is true, and it really doesnât matter because it doesnât necessarily add or take away from todayâs story.
Before I get started, I wanted to give a âhurrahâ to The-One-Whose-Group-Chat-Fills-in-Lots-of-Missing-Bits-for-Me-Including-the-Part-Where-Video-Footage-of-Antonia-in-Los-Angeles-Seemed-to-Indicate-a-Celebrity-Was-Not-the-Videographer-and-There-Were-So-Many-British-Accents-in-the-Background-One-Would-Fancy-a-Guess-She-was-Traveling-with-a-Group.
Moving alongâŚ
On April 7, 2024, Antonia posted a series of photographs and clips to her Instagram grid indicating she had been in Los Angeles, including one where she was laying on a blanket in front of the Griffith Observatory and one where she was sitting at a table marked with the number â95.â On April 14, she posted a second set of photographs, tagging her location as Beverly Hills, California and using âEnd of Beginningâ as her audio (yes, I side-eyed this choice of music so donât feel bad if you did as well). The second photo dump included her lounging on a rooftop.
Iâm not going to delve into posts made by Luke and Nicola during that timeframe. I mean, Iâm sure Nicolaâs comment, ââFriendsââŚsure Jan,â on Lukeâs April 11 reshared post about Bridgerton Season 3 was only meant to be applicable to Polin. And, if Luke wanted to use yellow and black hearts to represent the colors Nicola and he were wearing in his April 12 post, thatâs cool, too. And, I am definitely not going to speculate on Nicolaâs April 15 post (for Big Mood) that Luke liked, and she captioned, âI will bite off anything that dangles.â
By April 21, Luke and Nicola were in Australia at the World Premiere of Bridgerton. I am only going to provide a quick overview of Australia instead of a full-fledged recital because, at some point, I will almost certainly dedicate an entry to this country. Letâs start with Luke pulling off the hottest walk-up in Netflix human history (I mean, have you watched it in slow motion?). Then, we had the hard launch of the handholding business (because why again?). And, we had Luke tripping over his words, âWeâre very, like, givingâŚIâm not talking about those scenesâŚâ Oh, and Nicola telling an interviewer that, â[y]ou canât keep a good girl down,â and, in response, Lukeâs lips curling into a wicked-ass Cheshire cat's. We had them in the garden, with Nicola bending down to hug Luke after she had scratched/hit/petted his head. Perhaps I should not mention the possibility of a manâs shirt being visible on a bed behind Nicola (I said possibility not that it was). And, Nicola telling Luke, âYouâre the funnier one,â when he was concerned that perhaps Benedict was funnier than Colin. Then we had the âNicola-in-the-green-dressâ day where, as they were going down the steps, Luke seemed to instinctively reach for Nicolaâs hand, but she played it cool and took his arm instead. Oh, and that entire âgreen dressâ day in general (I mean, there was so much shit going on that day). And, best we do not forget Nicola saying, âthe best foundation for love is friendship,â which mirrored the bracelet âsomeoneâŚin Australiaâ gave Luke that read, âDo you believe the best foundation for love is friendship?â Because thatâs not suspicious at all. Alright, letâs get the fuck out of Australia â but not before I mention Nicola commenting on Lukeâs April 27 Instagram post with âReady for the next?â and Luke replying, âAbsolutely.â Yeah, yeah, yeah, their shenanigans in Australia expanded the USS Lukola tenfold.
Oh, also, let me throw this in here because, if you are a âring truther,â this fact plays a significant role in the Lukola timeline. If you do not know what a âring trutherâ is, thatâs perfectly fine. You can catch up by reading Entry 6 (The One Where I Explained the Claddagh Ring to My Dad) of my blog. I mentioned in Entry 6 that some Lukola sleuths have stated the metadata they pulled from the sketches of the Claddagh ring uploaded by Chupi indicate they were done as early as April 26. In other words, it means the Claddagh was likely commissioned between Australia and Italy. In fact, if we are to believe Chupi when it said it took four weeks to make the ring, then it had to have been commissioned by May 9, 2024, at the latest. Oh, lookie there, thatâs Day 1 of the Italy interviews.
But, before we get to May 9, letâs pause on April 29. That was the day Lukeâs InStyle spread was published â yes, the one I mentioned earlier. Luke has pictures from this photoshoot still on his Instagram grid â in fact, Nicola commented, âYess dude!!â on them â but those arenât the pictures I want to talk about. No, I want to talk about the pictures InStyle posted on its Instagram grid that day. These photographs came directly from Luke, which was confirmed by the InStyle article when it said, ââŚthe actor delighted the InStyle team by delivering the polaroid photos heâd taken for this story tucked oh-so-carefully in a little brown bag for safekeeping.â The pictures Luke provided, among others, included one where he was laying on a blanket in front of the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles; one where he was sitting at a table marked with the number â95;â and one where he is sitting in a lounge chair on a rooftop. If you want to see the pictures, InStyle still has them available â you just need to go through hundreds of posts to find them. Luke did not like this InStyle post, which was kind of odd because he was tagged in it, and they were reportedly his pictures.
Why did these InStyle polaroids seem so familiar?
Oh, thatâs right, because they were.
Remember that April 7 post of Antoniaâs I mentioned a bit ago? Yeah, the one where Antonia posted a bunch of random pictures from Los Angeles and â only after InStyle posted Lukeâs polaroids â fans realized Antonia had preemptively posted her version of some of Lukeâs polaroids.
I am not going to speculate too much about these pictures or their implications in this blog post, but these pictures may resurface in future posts because I find myself side-eyeing the fact they even exist. And, we should probably accept that Luke was aware of them before his pictures came out on April 29 because he threw a like on Antoniaâs April 7 post. Could it have been a âblindâ like? Sure, I guess, but the logical side of my brain says he probably looked through them at the time she posted. Letâs not worry too much about it right now, though.
After trying to write out my âgeneralâ opinion about the pictures several times, I finally decided that the best way I could articulate my thoughts was through the conversation I had with my father. Yes, Dear Dad returns again for another insightful Q&A.
I started by showing Luke and Antoniaâs three âmatchyâ pictures to my dad and then asked him to compare them. To be clear, the pictures were their respective Griffith Observatory, Table 95, and Rooftop Lounging pictures.
Me: âSo what do you think?â
Dad: âAbout what?â
Me: âUgh! Why did Antonia take those pictures?â
Dad: âWell, to show sheâs part of the âinâ crowd. The only reason I can see them being taken is if she was going to put them on the Internet.â
Me: âUhh, as a matter of fact, she did put them on the Internet! Approximately three weeks before Lukeâs were published.â
Dad: âSee! Iâm not as dumb as you think.â
Me: âWhatever. So, you really believe that? She took them to show people that she was, like, there?â
Dad: âYeah. Why else would she take them? Theyâre not the kind of photos youâd take normally. Whatâs she going to do, put them in an album and show her friends in five years and say, âLook, I sat in Lukeâs chair?â Who does that? Nobody. Plus, Lukeâs pictures look like they were taken with a polaroid camera and Antonia took hers with, I guess, a phone. Why use two different cameras? Again, it doesnât make sense. Seems to me like she knew what pictures he was taking, and she was trying to copy them so she could put them on the Internet.â
Thanks, Dad.
You do not have to accept my fatherâs thoughts on the photographs. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, I think we can meet in the middle and opine that, at a minimum, Antoniaâs pictures caused the weak Lukolas to jump overboard; at most, they gave some people stalker vibes; and somewhere in between, they introduced Antonia's negative influence over the fandom and what some may consider trolling behavior (even if it wasnât recognized then).
Now, before we land in Italy on May 9, letâs summarize what has happened during the preceding two months.
First, we had Luke traveling to Los Angeles in March with Antonia, either alone or as part of a friend group. Luke had pictures of himself taken while there.
Second, we had Antonia posting pictures in early April that would be linked directly to Lukeâs pictures by the end of the month.
Third, throughout the month of April, we had Luke and Nicola traveling together for the World Tour. We have all seen these interviews, and we have all formed independent opinions about them.
Fourth, based on Chupiâs own words, we know the Claddagh ring must have been commissioned no later than May 9.
Okay, now weâve reached May 9, Day 1 of the Italy press junket.
Besides the press interviews, what happened on that day?
Well, Antonia reposted Luke singing Coldplayâs âYellowâ to her TikTok account.
Uhh⌠Huh. Interesting.
I mean, itâs possible that this was just a coincidence and she just liked Lukeâs version of it. Or, itâs possible Antonia knew that âYellowâ was the Polin wedding song and she anticipated trolling Nicola and/or the fandom with it. But, if we believe she knew âYellowâ was the Polin wedding song, that means either Luke told her, or someone with that knowledge told her (i.e., someone from Lukeâs team or family/friend group). We also know that Luke mentioned this song in the May 16, 2022 Netflix Tudum article when Nicola and he were asked about their song choices for Season 3. Luke stated his frontrunner was âYellowâ by Coldplay âbecause of Penelopeâs dresses.â Regardless of why Antonia posted the song, I find it hard to imagine Netflix, Bridgerton, Shondaland, Nicola, or Luke were too impressed by Antonia resharing it on TikTok. I mean, at this point, Netflix & Co. would surely have been aware that Antoniaâs âcopycat postâ went over with the fandom like a wet blanket in December in Canada. I imagine some questions were being asked and Luke may very well have received a hand slap from Corporate â and maybe even from Nicola.
But, thatâs not the only thing that happened on May 9.
Luke posted his Homme magazine spread to his Instagram grid on that day, too. He captioned the post, âChatting through all things S3 with @hommeplusmag [o]ut next week x.â Nicola commented, âYessss,â and Luke tagged his post with the location of Hackney, London. That last part â about Luke tagging the location in Hackney â apparently sent the fandom into a deep-dive ofâŚNicolaâs backyard. Why? Because Nicola lives in Hackney (Nicola herself confirmed she lived in Hackney in a March 18, 2024 interview with Derry Now), and rumors started to circulate that Lukeâs pictures were taken at her home.
Hmm, I didnât realize May 9 was such a busy day, did you?
So, which came first â the chicken or the egg? Did Antonia repost âYellowâ to her TikTok before Luke posted his Homme in Hackney images to Instagram, or vice versa? Iâm sure someone out there has this information. The answer might help shine some light as to why Luke and Nicola seemed âoffâ in the early part of their Day 1 Italy interviews. But, then again, does the order really matter? Regardless of who posted first, it would seem to me that âYellowâ was a very possible culprit for the different energy on set that day.
That, or Luke really was peeved over someone spilling his coffee.

Pointing out little moments and details of the last yr scene.
wilmon endgame ⢠episode 6
the camera work is so on point - it follows wille around moving frenetically, as to emphasize the hurry and the tension.
simon gets in panic mode for a sec. he was never over wilhelm but definitely thought their relationship was.
at first he looks ... scared - not of wille but of what he feels for him at this point. he's still in love but they got to the finish line, they broke up with no idea of when or if they will talk to each other again, there's no reason for wille to chase after him if not to change something.
it makes his thoughts spiral, but somewhere in his little heart he has a lot of hope too and that's why he steps out of the car to hear what he has to say.
these words really mean everything and i'm glad they're told directly to simon. it's such a sigh of relief for wilhelm to get this off his chest and mean it for real: he's doing something for his own sake finally - to be free, to be happy, to be in control of his own life for once.
he never got to choose anything - somebody else has always done it for him - but he no longer has to be afraid anymore.
simon is just as relieved and the proudest: he proved over and over again to care so deeply. to see wilhelm constantly hurting inevitably hurt him too.
he knew wille was brave - he actually told him once - and he was so right. it takes a lot of courage to do what wille just did.
shut up he's adorable :') playing with his fingers and trying not to break into a smile. he wants to look calm and collected but his heart is jumping out of happiness.
this comes after the are you sure you're over me? - breaking up was all it took for wille to think that simon must not love him anymore: to earn love and for everything to be perfect in order to deserve love is what his family and royal life always taught him - but simon's what the hell do you think? proves him so wrong.
the tears in his eyes i cannot - this is the face of a man who's bursting out of love, he adores simon this much.
they crush into the hug like they've been dying to do it. what a moment it must be for them to close the distance.
in this hug they find what they both were needing the most.
they hold on to each other. emotions are so overwhelming and it's written all over their faces - it feels too good to be real.
it's almost scary to let go now and i love how they tighten the hug at the same time, clinging to make it last longer.
and they're at the same height so simon has to be on his tippy toes ahsjkh.
oh the beauty in simon feeling every emotion to the fullest and letting them all out. he doesn't hold himself back and it is truly heartwarming to watch.
this hug is healing - he's giving joy to be back in wille's arms, proud of wille for putting himself first, relief because the fear of losing him was too much to handle.
the single tear drop and the pure disbelief in his expression. he caresses wille's cheek and keeps looking at him like he's the most precious thing.
doing the triangle method - again. old habits never die huh.
wille letting simon choose to whether kiss him or not.
it's our simon we're talking about, the one that risked it all and initiated their very first kiss bc he liked wille that much already, so could he possibly not do that now? he obviously does and can't help but smile into it.
they can't get enough of kissing and wandering hands. it's like their only way to make this become more and more real.
fair to say they're kinda obsessed with each other's hair!
love love looove the transition from them kissing in secret in the dark of the night to them kissing freely out in the open in the daylight - the most beautiful metaphor.
completely different plot points but the feelings involved are so familiar - reunion kisses are very much their brand: there's longing, passion, need to savor the moment to make it last.
and this time it can really last forever.
something super special about simon not replying with i love you too but sticking to i love you - it is not just reciprocal.
this shot haunts me. it's from the documentary and idk why it wasn't used in the final cut, i'll make space for it here anyway!
wille can't stop smiling and simon never takes his eyes off of him - he's emotionally overwhelmed by the way he bites his lip and his chin trembles. my heart.
no ray of sunshine between them could ever distract me from wilhelm diving into this kiss with his eyes open.
simon is definitely being pulled closer by the waist here and i take it very personally.
i was already full on sobbing when this part of the scene came up - sara and felice calling them out bc they are too caught up in their own bubble.
they still take one more moment to just look at each other so fondly tho and try to get a grip on what has just happened.
i get you wille! simon is the loml too.
this shot is sooo!!! hillerska in the rear view mirror as they drive away - time for the last bittersweet goodbye.
all of them are wearing white, they're driving off in a white car, most carefree than ever - sounds a lot like freedom and fresh start.
some things never change - they're the most comfortable and happy when they can be just them, just like this.
god knows where they're headed but it doesn't really matter as long as they're together.
wilmon endgame babyyyy.
they've been through so much but come so far eventually. it's the end of young royals but the beginning of a new chapter in wilmon story - the best one - and it's only theirs to write from now on.
it's still going to be tough, storms are still about to come their way and ruin plans, life is a mess but at least they have each other. they're holding hands in a we are in this together kind of promise and it's so reassuring to know.
it was a hell of a ride but love and hope wins - and there's truly no one who deserves it more than them.
time to appreciate the comparison between wille the perfect crown prince and messy hair with undone shirt wille!
he looks at the audience for the very last time with the most content smile and we can tell he really is - ready. to leave us behind, to face the future, to experience life in the way we've seen him fight for before.
wilmon breaking the fourth wall together at the end would've been insane, but it feels so right to focus on wille actually: it's always been just him, it all started with our eyes on him and his journey, the choice to abdicate is for his own sake and not for simon - he said it himself - so for him to be alone in the closing shot makes the most sense to me.
wilhelm finally getting his own little family of people who loves and values him, simon sharing life with the person who's made him feel seen and cared for - this is honestly the best finale we couldâve ever asked for.

next | chapter II
The palace is alive with preparation, a beast of marble and gold that never rests. Its veins are the labyrinthine halls, pulsing with servants like you, carrying trays of delicacies, wreaths of flowers, and jugs of wine.
Its heart beats to the rhythm of whispered orders, clinking metal, and the distant echo of the marketplace beyond its gates. Tonight, the beast awakens for another feast.
You adjust the folds of your simple tunic, careful not to brush against the elaborate tapestries that line the walls. Each thread tells a story of conquest, glory, and powerâlegends youâve only heard murmured by those old enough to remember.
You are not part of those tales, nor their lineage. You are a servant, a shadow cast by the towering figures who walk these halls.
The kitchen is a tempest. The air is thick with the scent of roasted meats, fresh bread, and sweet figs. Claudia, the head cook, barks orders, her voice slicing through the chaos like the edge of a Roman gladius.
You pass her with a nod, your arms laden with trays of fruitâgleaming apples, plump grapes, the kind of bounty the common people outside these walls could only dream of.
Livia catches your eye from across the room. Her presence is a steady anchor in the storm, her face worn but kind.
âHave you checked the wine?â she asks, her tone soft but urgent.
You nod. âItâs ready, Mother,â you reply, the word slipping out as naturally as breath.
She is not your motherâyou know this muchâbut she is all you have.
The story of how you came to be here is one youâve heard countless times: a baby abandoned at the servants' chamber door, cradled in a basket of woven reeds, with nothing to mark your origin save for a scrap of fine cloth that no one in your station would dare to own.
Livia found you there, swaddled in whispers of mystery, and against all odds, she chose to keep you.
Raised among the laboring hands of the palace, you were given no privilege beyond survival and no legacy but that of work.
The great marble halls and gilded frescoes became your entire world, a place as eternal and unmoving as the gods themselvesâor so it seemed.
The servantsâ quarters where you lived were nestled in the hidden bowels of the palace, far from the glittering feasts and marble statues.
You learned to scrub floors and pour wine long before you understood the language of wealth and power that filled these walls.
Your life had been carved out in the shadows, molded by the soft voices and calloused hands of those who raised you.
Today, like every other, begins in service to Rome's ever-churning hunger for spectacle.
The air hums with anticipation, thick with the scent of roasted meat and spiced wine, a stark contrast to the stench of poverty that lingers just beyond the palace gates.
âAre the platters for the atrium ready?â Liviaâs voice cuts through your thoughts.
âThey are,â you reply, glancing at the polished silver laden with grapes and apples, their skins shining like jewels under the torchlight.
âGood.â Liviaâs sharp eyes soften, though her expression remains tense. âTake the fruit out yourself. And stay close to the kitchen. Today will bring trouble, I feel it.â
You nod, understanding the weight of her instincts. Years of serving in the palace have taught her to sense the storm before it strikes.
As you lift the platters, Claudia, calls over her daughter, Alexandra.
âGo with her,â Claudia orders, waving a ladle for emphasis.
Alexandra groans dramatically but obeys, rolling her eyes as she grabs one of the platters.
âShe canât let me rest for a moment,â she mutters, her tone more amused than annoyed.
You chuckle softly. Alexandra has always been like thisâbold where you are cautious, quick to speak where you stay silent.
She is your only true companion here, older by four years and infinitely more daring.
As you and Alexandra arrange the fruits on a grand table in the atrium, she leans closer, her voice dropping conspiratorially. âThe Princess will be here tonight.â
You nod absently, focused on ensuring the grapes cascade just so. âOf course, she will. She is the Princess after all.â
âNo, I mean, I havenât seen her in years,â Alexandra continues, ignoring your tone. âNot since I was a kid. That was ten years ago. You know she moved out of the palace after marrying the general.â
You donât reply immediately, your hands steady as you arrange the fruit. Alexandra has always loved to gossip, but you prefer to keep your thoughts unspoken.
âCan you believe itâs been ten years, and she hasnât had a child? Not one with him,â Alexandra muses.
âMaybe itâs their choice,â you say quietly. âItâs not our place to wonder.â
Alexandra scoffs lightly. âIâm just saying, after her sonâwhat was his name? Lucius?âafter he was taken and killed by her brother, CommodusâŚâ She trails off, her voice tinged with something between pity and fascination.
You remember Lucius vaguely, a boy with a quiet demeanor and a sad smile.
You were too young then to understand the weight of his loss, but the servants whispered of curses and tragedies surrounding the imperial family.
âItâs not good to talk about the great emperors like that,â you murmur, hoping to steer the conversation elsewhere.
Before Alexandra can reply, the sound of heavy boots echoes through the atrium.
The guards step forward, their polished armor glinting in the firelight. âMake way for their majesties,â one announces, his voice carrying over the growing murmur of the guests.
You and Alexandra immediately bow your heads, the platters forgotten as the twin emperors enter the room.
Emperor Geta and Emperor Caracalla are a study in contrasts.
Geta, an imposing figure, commands the space with a cold and calculating gaze. His every step seems deliberate, as if the weight of the empire rests on his shoulders alone.
Caracalla, by contrast, walks with an erratic energy, his pet monkey perched on his shoulder. Dondus, the creatureâs name, chatters and hisses, a mirror of its masterâs unpredictable moods.
You feel the weight of their gazes as they sweep the room. Getaâs lips curl into a smileâor is it a smirk?âas his eyes linger on Alexandra.
There have been whispers, rumors of an affair, though Alexandra denies them with a laugh.
Caracallaâs gaze lands on you, and for a moment, his expression softens. Unlike his brother, he has always been strange but oddly kind to you.
When you were a child, he would find you in the halls, offering you small trinkets or asking you to keep him company.
âYour Majesties,â Alexandra says again, her voice like honeyed wine, sweet but strong.
She curtsies with practiced ease, her eyes cast downward, yet her boldness hangs in the air, unspoken but palpable.
You follow her lead, bowing deeply, but your heart pounds in your chest like the war drums of a distant legion. In the presence of the emperors, the room feels smaller, the air heavier.
To serve Rome, you think, is to breathe in the will of its rulers, no matter how suffocating.
Geta's gaze lingers on Alexandra, traveling from her head to her feet, as though she were a statue he might commission or a possession he already owns.
His smirk deepens, the corner of his mouth curving with an indulgence that unsettles you.
âAlexandra,â he drawls, his voice smooth as polished bronze. âWhy do I find the table half-dressed? Are my guests to dine on the promise of fruit alone?â
You glance at the platters, perfectly arranged but not yet fully adorned with the remaining dishes. Your pulse quickens; you know the punishment for displeasing the emperors can be swift, unpredictable.
But Alexandra, bold as always, doesnât flinch.
âForgive us, Your Majesty,â she says, her tone measured yet edged with defiance. âThe final trays are being brought out as we speak. The delay was unforeseen.â
Geta arches a brow, his smirk turning sharper, more dangerous. âUnforeseen,â he repeats, as though savoring the word.
âI wonder, Alexandra, if youâve grown too accustomed to... distractions.â
You know the meaning behind his words. Everyone does.
The whispered rumors of their affair swirl through the palace like incense smoke, clinging to every corner.
Her mother Claudia knows, though she turns a blind eye, perhaps thinking it wiser not to provoke the wrath of an emperor.
Beside him, Caracalla shifts, uninterested in the exchange. His pet monkey, Dondus, chitters softly on his shoulder, its small, beady eyes scanning the room.
Caracallaâs gaze falls on you briefly, but it is not unkind. He has always been more erratic than cruel with you, there is a peculiar understanding in his glancesâa shared knowledge of solitude.
âForgive us, Your Majesty,â you say suddenly, your voice trembling like a bird caught in a net. The words tumble out before you can stop them, and the weight of the room shifts.
Getaâs eyes snap to you, sharp as a blade. For a moment, you wonder if youâve made a grave mistake.
But then he laughsâa low, indulgent sound that sends shivers down your spine.
âAh,â he says, leaning slightly toward you. âThe little dove finds her voice. How curious.â
You stiffen under his gaze, your knees threatening to buckle. It feels as though he is peeling back your very skin, seeking something hidden beneath.
âYouâre the youngest servant here, arenât you?â Geta muses, his tone light but with an edge that cuts.
âA curious creature, so quiet and unassuming. And yetâŚâ He trails off, his eyes narrowing, as if piecing together a puzzle.
The weight of unspoken rumors presses against your chest.
The whispers about your lineage, the murmurs that you are more than a servantâthat you are the illegitimate daughter of Commodus himself, a shadow of Romeâs bloody past.
Youâve heard them before, though never directly. Livia, your steadfast mother in all but blood, dismisses them as lies, the gossip of bored tongues.
But in moments like this, when Getaâs piercing gaze locks onto yours, it feels as though the marble walls around you whisper secrets only they can hold.
Secrets of your origin, of what blood may or may not flow through your veins, encased in the silent austerity of Romeâs cold embrace. You feel the weight of it, a shroud both invisible and suffocating.
Geta doesnât believe the rumors entirely, but he cannot ignore them either. To him, you are a thorn he cannot pluck without proof.
If the whispers are true, if you are indeed the hidden scion of Commodus and the only living grandchild of Marcus Aurelius, you would be a danger to his rule.
Rome, after all, has loved its Aurelius lineage fiercely.
The plebeians would rally to your name like vines twisting toward sunlight.
Still, no woman has ever ruled Rome.
The Senate, the soldiers, and the gods themselves would balk at such a notion. But Geta knows that power is not always rooted in precedentâit is rooted in the hearts of the people.
And the people would love a descendant of Marcus Aurelius far more than they could ever love him.
âYou wear the palace well,â Geta says finally, his tone dripping with mockery. âA little too well, perhaps.â
You feel the heat rise to your cheeks but keep your gaze respectfully lowered. His words are like serpents coiling around you, their venom lying just beneath the surface.
Caracalla hums softly, breaking the tension. He strokes Dondus, the little monkey perched on his shoulder, as though soothing himself rather than the animal.
âLeave her, brother,â he mutters, his tone flat but carrying weight. âYou scare the child.â
Geta casts his twin a glance, his smirk briefly faltering. With that, he straightens, clapping his hands once in finality. âFinish the table,â he commands, the sharpness of his tone slicing through the room.
âYes, Your Majesty,â you and Alexandra reply in unison, bowing deeply as the emperors turn and walk away.
Their robes ripple like molten gold, catching the light as though the gods themselves had woven the fabric.
The moment they are gone, you exhale shakily, the breath you didnât realize youâd been holding slipping from your lips.
The grandeur of the palace, so often a thing of wonder, now feels oppressiveâa prison of marble and ambition.
Alexandra nudges you gently, her smile faint but reassuring. âItâs fine,â she murmurs, though the tightness in her voice betrays her unease.
You nod and return to your work, the routine motions of arranging platters grounding you once more. But the unease lingers, like a storm cloud that refuses to dissipate.
Later, after the feast preparations are complete, you retreat to the servantsâ quarters. The hallways grow quieter as the palace begins to prepare for the nightâs debauchery.
Your mother, Livia, finds you there, her expression tight with concern.
âAre you all right?â You nod quickly, not wanting to worry her further.
Liviaâs sharp eyes search yours for a moment before she exhales heavily. âStay away from them tonight,â she warns. âThere will be soldiers, senators, politiciansâmen who think they own the world. And women and men from the brothels to entertain them. It will not be a place for a child like you.â
âI understand,â you say softly, though the thought of the gathering makes your skin prickle.
"Go to your chamber and stay there.â You nod, obedient as always, and Livia cups your face briefly before bustling away.
But as you walk toward your chamber, the stillness of the afternoon draws you elsewhere.
***
The sun bathes the palace gardens in a golden light, soft and warm, like an embrace from the gods themselves.
The sky is a flawless stretch of azure, and the air carries the faintest scent of blooming jasmine.
Unable to resist, you veer toward the gardens, seeking solace in their quiet beauty.
You make your way to the small pond at the edge of the grounds, where the world feels simpler, untouched by the weight of marble columns and imperial decrees.
This is your sanctuary, a place youâve tended with your own hands.
The hedges are trimmed neatly, the flowers arranged in bursts of vibrant colorâcrimson roses, golden marigolds, and pale violets that seem to glow in the sunlight.
The pond reflects the sky like polished glass, its surface rippling gently in the breeze.
You settle onto the cool stone bench nearby, pulling out a small parchment and charcoal.
Writing has always been your escape, a way to make sense of the labyrinth that is your mind.
The words flow from you like water from a spring, each line capturing fragments of your thoughts and fears.
To live in the shadow of gods is to forget the warmth of the sun.
You stare at the words youâve written, sentences about Rome and its people, the empireâs endless hunger that devours the poor while the rulers gorge themselves on the spoils.
It isnât rebellion that drives youâat least, not yetâbut a quiet, gnawing sense of wrongness.
You have lived your entire life within the confines of this palace, its gilded walls both a sanctuary and a prison.
Outside, beyond the Forum and its grand marble temples, the streets of Rome teem with despair. Youâve seen it, fleeting glimpses on the rare occasions you ventured beyond the palace gates.
Children with hollow eyes and grime-streaked faces.
Men broken by war or taxation, their shoulders bowed under invisible yokes.
Women clutching bundles of rags that you realized, with a sick lurch, were infants too still to be alive.
These thoughts weigh heavily on you as you sit by the pond, the gardenâs beauty unable to shield you from the worldâs harsh truths.
You lower your quill, pressing trembling fingers to your lips, when the sound of approaching footsteps pulls you sharply from your thoughts.
You stiffen, the air in your lungs turning to stone. It isnât one of the servants; their steps are lighter, quicker.
This tread is deliberate, measured, carrying a weight of authority. When you glance up, your breath catches.
The man before you is not adorned with the opulence of the Senate nor the ostentatious silk of the emperors.
You know who he is. How could you not?
General Marcus Acacius.
Romeâs shield and sword, the hero of distant campaigns whose name is whispered with both reverence and fear.
You have never seen him in the flesh, for he seldom resides in the palace, choosing instead to live with Princess Lucilla far from its labyrinth of intrigue.
But his likeness is everywhere: etched in marble statues, painted in frescoes, immortalized as Romeâs protector.
Yet, here he stands, and for a fleeting moment, you wonder if the gods themselves have sent him.
The crimson cloak draped over his broad shoulders glints faintly in the golden light, its hem embroidered with intricate patterns that seem to tell the story of the empireâs conquests.
His tunic, simple yet stately, is cinched with a polished belt, a gleaming buckle bearing the proud insignia of the wolf of Rome.
Unlike the ornamental decadence of the Senate or the twin emperors, his attire speaks of purpose and practicalityâbeauty tempered by utility.
And his faceâby Jupiter, his beautiful face.
It is a map of victories and sacrifices, weathered yet noble. The lines carved by years of sun and battle only enhance the sharpness of his features, as if the gods had personally molded him for their own designs.
His hair, dark and streaked with silver like the gleam of moonlight on a blade, curls faintly at his temples.
His beard, neatly trimmed, frames a mouth set in the hard line of a man who has spoken a thousand commands and swallowed a thousand regrets.
But it is his eyes that strike you most: deep, piercing, soulful-brown eyes.
They are the eyes of a man who has seen the best and worst of humanity and bears the weight of both.
Your breath catches as his gaze sweeps over you, taking in the sight of a young servant clutching a parchment like a shield.
He regards you with a sharp, assessing gaze, his eyes like iron tempered in fireâunyielding yet reflective.
His presence is commanding, a gravity that draws everything into its orbit. You are struck by how different he is from the emperors.
Where Geta and Caracalla exude indulgence and cruelty, Acacius carries himself with the disciplined grace of a man who has known the weight of true responsibility.
âNot many choose the gardens for their thoughts,â he says, his voice deep, steady, and tinged with curiosity.
It is a soldierâs voice, devoid of the honeyed pretense of courtiers.
You scramble to your feet, clutching your parchment to your chest. âGeneral,â you manage, your voice trembling despite your best efforts.
He raises a hand, the gesture more commanding than any shout. âAt ease,â he says, a faint flicker of somethingâamusement, perhapsâcrossing his face. âYou are Livia's daughter?"
His question hangs in the air like the distant clang of a bell. You nodded, your name feels small in your mouth when you finally say it, barely audible against the rustling of the gardenâs leaves.
Acacius nods, as though filing the information away. His eyes flick to the parchment in your hands. âA poet?â
You hesitate, âI... I write, sometimes. Thoughts.â
He steps closer, his presence overwhelming yet strangely grounding. He does not reach for the parchment, but his gaze lingers on it as though he could read its contents by sheer will alone.
âThoughts on Rome, perhaps?â he asks.
His tone is even, but there is an edge to it, a subtle weight that suggests he already knows the answer.
Your throat tightens. To speak of the empireâs flaws to a general of its armies feels like standing on the edge of a blade.
Yet something in his bearingâa quiet patience, a restrained curiosityâcompels you to answer honestly.
âYes,â you admit softly. âAbout Rome. And its people.â
Acaciusâs expression shifts almost imperceptibly, a shadow crossing his face. He looks away, toward the pond, his gaze distant now, as if seeing not the still water but something far beyond it.
âThe people,â he repeats, almost to himself. âThe heart of Rome. And yet, the heart is always the first to be sacrificed.â
The words are spoken quietly, but they carry the weight of experience, of battles fought not just with swords but with conscience.
You watch him, your earlier fear now replaced by a cautious curiosity.
"Do you... believe that?" you venture, your voice barely above a whisper, the words trembling like a fledgling bird daring its first flight.
Marcus halts, his crimson cloak swaying like the banner of a legion stilled in the wind.
He turns to you, his eyesâsharp as a polished gladiusâsoftening for the briefest moment, as if your question has reached a part of him long buried under layers of duty and steel.
âBelief,â he begins, his voice low and steady, carrying the weight of a man who has lived lifetimes in service to an empire, âis a luxury in the life of a soldier. I deal in action, not faith. But I have seen enough to know that Romeâs strength lies not in its emperors, but in its people. And we are failing them.â
The honesty in his words strikes you like the tolling of a great bronze bell, reverberating through the quiet garden and deep into your chest.
It is not what you expected from a man like himâa hero to some, a sword-arm to the empireâbut here he stands, speaking not as a general but as a man, his voice laced with something unguarded. Regret, perhaps. Or hopeâfragile and faint, but alive nonetheless.
âDo you believe in Rome, little one?â His question falls like a stone into still waters, and you startle, unprepared to have the conversation turned toward you.
âIââ Your words falter, and you look down at your hands, clutching the parchment that now feels like an accusation.
But then, something inside you stirsâsomething that refuses to shrink back beneath the weight of his gaze.
You lift your eyes to meet his, the courage in your chest kindled like a flame drawn from embers.
âI believe in what Rome could be,â you reply, your voice steadier now.
âI believe in the Rome that lives in the hearts of its peopleâthe ones who work its fields, who build its roads, who kneel at its altars not out of fear, but out of love. That is the Rome worth fighting for. But the Rome I see nowâŚâ Your throat tightens, but you press on.
â...has forgotten its people. It worships marble statues and golden coins while the streets crumble and the people starve. How can an empire endure when its foundation is so neglected?â
Your words spill forth, unchecked and unmeasured, and it is only when you see the faintest flicker of something in his expressionârespect, perhaps, or surpriseâthat you remember who stands before you.
The weight of your boldness sinks in like a gladiator realizing theyâve overstepped in the arena.
âForgive me, General,â you murmur, lowering your gaze. âI forgot myself.â
But Marcus shakes his head, a wry smile playing at the edges of his mouth. âDo not apologize,â he says, his tone gentler now, though no less commanding.
âYou are young, but your words carry the wisdom of one who has not yet been corrupted by power. Few speak with such clarity, and fewer still with such courage.â
His gaze lingers on you, searching, and you feel it like the sun breaking through storm clouds.
âYou remind me,â he says, his voice quieter, almost reverent, âof someone. He believed, as you do, in the strength of Romeâs people. He would sit in gardens much like this one, speaking of justice and duty, and wonder aloud whether the empire could ever live up to its ideals.â
Your heart quickens, the weight of his words settling over you like the cloak of a goddess.
The way Marcus looks at youâas though he sees not the servant, but the soul beneathâmakes you feel for a fleeting moment.
âI am no philosopher,â you say softly, your fingers tightening on the parchment. âBut it is hard to remain silent when I see so much suffering.â
âA Roman citizen has every right to speak of their empireâs failings,â he says, stepping closer now.
âDo not mistake me for a politician, child. I am a soldier. My loyalty is to Romeânot to the men who rule it."
You nod, the words settling over you like a cloak woven of both gravity and reassurance.
The air between you feels charged, alive with the kind of understanding that is rarely spoken but deeply felt.
You watch him, his form cast in the golden hues of the setting sun, the crimson of his cloak vivid against the muted greens of the garden.
There is something about him that draws youânot merely his reputation, not the legends whispered in the palace halls of his valor and victories, but him.
The man behind the titles and statues.
You swallow, your heart a restless bird in your chest. You should not linger, not with him, not now.
And yet, you find yourself unable to walk away.
Words rise to your lips, hesitant at first, but then they spill forth, tentative and careful, like a child offering a wildflower to a god.
âForgive me, my lord, but shouldnât you be inside?â you say, your voice trembling under the weight of its boldness. âThe palace is bustling with your celebrationâwishing you fortune for your campaign, for Romeâs glory.â
He turns his gaze to you, the faintest flicker of amusement playing at the corners of his mouth. âRomeâs glory,â he repeats, as though tasting the phrase on his tongue, finding it bitter.
He lets out a soft chuckle, low and warm, a sound that feels oddly out of place amidst the solemn grandeur of the garden. âLet them feast. Let them toast. Iâve no appetite for gilded words tonight.â
You blink, surprised by his candor. He is not what you imaginedânot the marble statue immortalized in the Forum or the hardened general whose name echoes in the chants of soldiers. He is⌠more human than that.
âIâm waiting for my wife,â he adds, his tone casual, though his eyes seem to linger on you as if measuring your reaction.
Princess Lucilla.
The name hangs in the air, heavy with the weight of legend. Romeâs Princess. The only daughter of Marcus Aurelius, the philosopher-emperor. Youâve never met her, though her shadow looms large over your life.
âShe was delayed,â he continues, glancing toward the palace, though his stance is relaxed, unhurried.
Princess Lucilla, her legend precedes her, a name spoken with reverence, and sometimes, in hushed tones, with fear.
Your mother, Livia, has served her since she was but a girl.
Livia, who moves through the world with a quiet dignity, has always spoken of the princess with unwavering loyalty. âShe carries Rome on her shoulders,â your mother would say, her voice tinged with both pride and sorrow. âThe weight of a crown rests on her brow, even though it does not sit there.â
Your thoughts drift, but his voice pulls you back to the present.
âYour mother,â Marcus says, his tone shifting to something softer, more contemplative, âsheâs a loyal servant to our household, isnât she?â
You nod, feeling a strange warmth rise to your cheeks. âShe is, my lord. My mother adores the princess. She always speaks highly of her.â
At this, Marcus smiles faintly. His expression, though guarded, carries a warmth that feels rare, as if heâs allowing himself a brief reprieve from his usual stoicism.
âLivia is wise, then. Lucilla is⌠more than most know. Rome sees her as Marcus Aureliusâ daughter, but to meââ He pauses, his voice lowering to something almost reverent.
âShe is a woman of strength, far greater than any man Iâve known. Her loyalty to Rome and its people⌠it humbles me.â
For a fleeting moment, his mask of a hardened general slips, and you glimpse something deeper.
A man bound not just by duty but by love.
His words hang in the air, gilded with affection, and you feel a pang of longing, though for what, you cannot say.
âIâve never met her,â you admit, your voice quieter now.
He turns to you, curiosity flickering in his gaze. âLucilla?â
You nod, feeling suddenly self-conscious beneath his scrutiny. âIâve only heard stories. My mother always told me about her strength, her grace. But weâve never crossed paths.â
Marcus regards you for a long moment, as if seeing something in you he had not noticed before. âShe would like you,â he says at last, his voice steady, though something lingers in his tone, a note of intrigue.
âAre you coming to the feast tonight?â he asks, the question catching you off guard.
You hesitate, glancing toward the palace where the distant hum of celebration filters through the evening air. âServants are not permitted to attend such events, my lord,â you say, lowering your gaze. âI am only a servant after all,"
His brows furrow slightly, as if the answer displeases him. âRome is built on the backs of those it calls servants. Do not diminish yourself.â
You blink, unsure of how to respond. Thereâs a weight in his words, one that feels both heavy and freeing.
Before he can say more, hurried footsteps echo through the garden. You turn, and there stands Alexandra, one of the palace attendants, her expression tight with worry.
âMy lord,â she says, bowing her head quickly as her wide eyes catch sight of Marcus.
The respect is immediate, almost reflexive. General Acacius commands not just authority but admiration.
Men respect him, but women⌠they speak of him in hushed tones, a figure both distant and impossibly magnetic.
âForgive me for interrupting,â Alexandra continues, her voice trembling slightly under the weight of his gaze. âYour mother is looking for you,"
Marcus looks at you, his expression softening. He steps aside, the movement graceful despite his formidable frame, as though making room for your escape.
"Tell Livia my apologies for keeping her daughter here," he says, his voice low yet deliberate, as though each word is a promise carved in stone.
His gaze lingers on you, longer than it should, and it feels as though he is reading something beyond the surfaceâa map of your heart, perhaps, etched in the lines of your face.
For a moment, the world narrows to just this: the garden bathed in the golden light of a setting sun, the faint murmur of the distant feast, and the weight of his eyes, heavy yet strangely gentle.
There is something about you, his expression seems to sayâsomething unspoken but undeniable.
You feel it too, a spark that flickers to life beneath the layers of duty, expectation, and fear.
âIâll see you at the feast tonight,â he says, the words more a statement than an invitation, leaving little room for protest.
There is a finality to his tone, yet also a quiet insistence that stirs something within you.
Before you can respond, he dips his head ever so slightlyâa gesture of respect, or perhaps acknowledgmentâbefore turning and striding away, his crimson cloak flowing like a banner in his wake.
You bow reflexively, watching him disappear into the shadowed corridors of the palace, his figure swallowed by the grandeur of Rome itself.
Yet even as he leaves, his presence lingers, an echo in the air, a weight in your chest.
As soon as the sound of his footsteps fades, Alexandra is at your side, her face alight with barely contained awe.
âWas that⌠the general?â she whispers, her voice tinged with something between disbelief and reverence.
âYes,â you reply, though your own voice feels distant, as though it belongs to someone else. Your thoughts are still tethered to the garden, to the quiet intensity of his gaze.
âBy the gods,â she breathes, clutching your arm as though you might disappear. âHeâs⌠heâs even more handsome up close.â
You chuckle softly, shaking your head. âCareful, Ale,â you chide gently, though thereâs no malice in your words.
âIâve heard so much about him,â she continues, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
âAbout his loyalty to Maximus Decimus Meridiusâthe late generalâand how he served under him during the great campaigns. They say he adored the princess even then. Some even whisper that his loyalty to Maximus was why he stayed so close to her after his death, marrying her to protect her.â
You glance at her, your brow furrowing slightly. âYou know far too much for someone who spends their days in the laundry.â
She grins, unrepentant. âThe laundry is where all the palaceâs secrets come to dry.â
You shake your head, though her words gnaw at the edges of your mind.
Youâve heard the stories too, in bits and pieces from the older servants: tales of Lucillaâs love affair with Maximus, and Marcusâs steadfast devotion not only to his commander but to the empire itself.
A marriage born of loyalty, they say, not love. And yet, thereâs something in the way Marcus spoke of Lucilla earlier that makes you wonder.
As Alexandra chatters on, her words a tide of gossip and speculation, your thoughts drift back to Marcus.
To the way he stood in the garden, his form framed by the soft glow of the setting sun. To the depth in his eyes, like wells carved by the gods themselvesâdeep enough to drown in, and yet you couldnât look away.
You feel a strange restlessness in your chest, a stirring you canât quite name. It isnât admiration, nor fear, but something more complicated. Something heavier.
Marcus is unlike anyone youâve ever knownâunlike the indulgent senators with their honeyed words, unlike the cruel twin emperors whose laughter carries the sting of a whip.
He is a man of iron and fire, tempered by years of battle, yet beneath that hardened exterior lies something softer. Something⌠human.
And perhaps thatâs what unsettles you most.
Youâve spent your life surrounded by women: your mother, Livia, with her quiet strength and unshakable loyalty; the other servants, who taught you to navigate the palaceâs labyrinthine halls.
Men were distant figures, their power felt but never seen up close. Fathers, youâve only heard about in storiesâabstract concepts, not flesh and blood.
But Marcus is no abstraction.
He is real, tangible, a presence that feels larger than life yet undeniably mortal.
To see him, to feel him, is to glimpse a side of the world youâve never knownâa world shaped not by whispered orders or silent sacrifices, but by action, by conviction, by the weight of decisions made on the edge of a blade.
You shake your head, trying to banish the thoughts, but they cling to you like the scent of blooming jasmine in the garden. âItâs nothing,â you tell yourself, though your heart betrays you with its restless rhythm.
âNothing at all,â you murmur, though even the words feel like a lie.

thank you. i kept saying this to people and they just argued with me that it wasn't, but a lot of goyim cannot wrap their heads around the deeply antisemitic roots of conspiracy theory & it's slang.
very long, dissection of these thoughts - i'm sorry if it seems irrelevant but it feels incredibly relevant given this vein of discussion.
honestly, this whole entire situation is just shitty, strange, and pointless to me. perhaps we be the arbiter of our own experiences and not other people's?
if a community comes up with language to describe itself, it's not a threat. i, as an intersex person, have not once seen people turn transandrophobia (or transmisandy, antitransmasculinity) into a binary. that's my only issue. the second you decide who is or isn't impacted, you've created a new binary. one in which i will never fit, because you cannot box my life into 0 or 1. otherwise, coming up with new terminology to further these discussions is highly valuable. this is important for the development of theory in general. for example, misogynoir doesn't mean non-black women don't face misogyny, but is rather a term to discuss the intersectionality between misogyny and anti-black racism. antitransmasculinity, transmisandry or transandrophobia is not to say that transphobia is exclusive, but rather that there is an intersection between punitive behavior towards "the wrong kind of masculinity" and transhood.
but it very rapidly became "you need to shut up, you're always telling US to shut up, so we're turning the tables on you!" and to be honest, where this all started was intersex people telling people to stop directly quoting excerpts from a fucking intersexist. we have no problem with transmisogyny as a word that embodies the intersection of misogyny and transphobia - but the woman who coined the term treated it as a binary from which intersex people were fetishized and exempt from. us telling people not to create gender binary 2.0 wasn't us telling anyone to "shut up" or not talk about it at all, but rather leave space for other voices.
so when/how/why did discussing your experience with the intersection of misogyny and transness become telling other people whether or not they were exempt from these experiences? well, that is how Julia Serano, who coined the term, treats this word. her belief is that the world desires more men, thus (perisex) trans masculine people get access to HRT and SRS easily. she believes that men are always rewarded for their masculinity, and very overtly states that trans women have it harder. she expresses that it is in fact not transphobic for "womyn spaces" to welcome trans men, but are transmisogynistic not to allow in trans women. (as if this isn't misgendering both in this instance.) she's incredibly dismissive, transphobic and colonialist towards nonbinary/2S/indian, indigenous and jewish genders, cherry picking to prove her point about victimization and erasing any "transmasculine" oriented identities (to oversimplify for sake of character count.) she glosses over intersex people, mentioning us, mentioning Dr. Money but not what he did TO US, and coming to conclusions that we've been vocally disagreeing with since 2007. she cherry picked stats to prove her point, which actually winds up harming it. all from whipping girl, the book that coined transmisogyny, a piece of literature that's treated like the trans bible, despite it's reductionism and transphobia.
and i'm not saying transmisogyny as a word shouldn't be used, i'm saying you are actively dragging our community down with your attempt to classify and codify a binary for which this framework is used. AGAIN, the entire reason people started throwing tantrums about "you all tell us to shut up and stop talking about our experiences" was because intersex people said "hey! you can use that word, it's a great descriptor to use in discussion about oppression through the lens of intersectionality! but it's deeply intersexist to turn it into a new binary. it's not cut and dry the way you want it to be, and you also can't just tell someone else what they have or have not experienced." something that we have been saying to the woman who coined it since she fucking coined it. because a shitload of intersex people don't fit the mental categorization of what TMA is and are still transmisogyny affected. shit, even cis black women have discussed how they're impacted by transmisogyny. because oppression isn't Man Bad Woman Good Woman Oppressed Man Oppressor. intersectionality makes oppression a very complicated multi-faceted system of abuse. (you'd think she'd get that from her book discussing the intersection of misogyny and transness.) but we intersex people are used as a battering ram for arguments or left out entirely, so the focus shifted onto targeting transmascs alone - the "opposite" of transfemmes, the enemy. we got lost in our justified criticism and it became criticism "for no reason."
it's such a baby's first understanding of gender praxis, to throw this initialization back at people who think this way. this a very rudimentary understanding that masculinity is rewarded, therefore anyone emulating masculinity is rewarded, and it is deeply lacking in intersectionality. the black man is not rewarded for his masculinity, nor is the indigenous man, nor is the gay, trans, intersex, jewish or asian man, so on and so forth. when you are seen as a deviation from the cisperi heterosexual white norm, you are punished for your attempts to (even successfully) emulate normalcy. in fact, this feels like such a base starting point for the framework of intersectionality that i regularly think these individuals are anti-black. if it doesn't affect them, they don't care to learn about it, or to listen to black transfems in their community, or to pay attention when a black person is speaking. have you never listened to malcom x or martin king speak of their blackness in relation to their masculinity? how they are punished for it, seen as aggressors, seen as threats? where is the reward there in that masculinity? what about black women, who are seen as masculine, aggressive, loud and dominating - all racist stereotypes? are you somehow completely unaware of the way masculinity is punished or assigned to dehumanize through racist trains of thought? because i'm assuming you just don't listen to black voices.
i think some of these people either are self proclaimed f3mc3ls who still use 4chn (a new worrying trend i've seen women and girls take to) which encourages this Us Vs Them thinking. or literal sockpuppets from 4chn doing astroturfing as Discourse Of The Month, as they have been doing for more than a decade. like, maybe i'm just old, but i remember the thousand iterations of this that came before this. aces, aros, lesbians, pansexuals, bisexuals, lesbians again, trans people, trans people again, over and over we recycle garbage and repaint it for a new round of discourse that at its best serves no purpose, and at its worst is alt-right psyop shit.
and i mean that literally. the CIA wrote a fucking handbook on how to disrupt leftist organizers. this shit is straight out of an alt-right gov. sanctioned playbook on disrupting leftist progression. Spread disturbing rumors that sound like inside dope. Haggle over precise wordings of communications. If possible, join or help organize a group [...] See that the procedures adopted are as inconvenient as possible [...] bringing up problems which are largely imaginary, and so on. [...] Act stupid. Be as irritable and as quarrelsome as possible, without getting yourself into trouble. 'this is whataboutism'. you guys remember whataboutism? shifting goalposts?
How about this manual on unconventional warfare? (psychological warfare on organizations you want to dismantle and disrupt)
Basically, psychological operations is concerned with persuading people, or groups of people, to take certain actions favorable to oneâs interests. In an insurgent situation, psychological operations can be called upon to persuade the people of the area to actively and willingly co-operate with the local government, disrupt the efforts of the insurgent, and assist in separating the insurgent from other elements of the nationâs population.
how can we dissuade groups from acting against our interests?
The fundamental key to a successful persuasion effort is the extent to which the persuader genuinely understands the group being addressed.* Because successful persuasion depends on a thorough knowledge of environmental factors which influence the target, as well as a knowledge of what this target group thinks of itself and its environment,* it is difficult to specify detailed suggestions because of the diverse areas in which Special Forces may operate. There are general guidelines, however, which will aid Special Forces personnel in a persuasive effort.
if a group sees themselves as tolerant and inclusive, or as the sole victims under the oppressive system of abuse and power, how do we target them in a way that they understand?
There are a number of approaches to the problem of persuasion. The best one involves changing, if necessary, the predisposition of a target group to react in a particular way to things they sense in their environmentâin other words, their attitudes. Having discovered the existing attitudes of the group an examination is made to define characteristics of the attitudes so that changes or modifications can be made.
if you can convince a group that their allies are victimizing them or that their allies are denying your victim hood, you can shift their focus from fighting you to fighting each other. if you can shift them into infighting, they stop organizing against you.
also, i think everyone should read this PDF so that they understand these psychological pitfalls and thus can avoid them.
it mentions many things i can't get into here because of post character limits - normalization of rhetoric and re-appropriating rhetoric, for another thing. like for example, 4chnneonazi shit becoming normal meme culture? "i believe in x supremacy" meme is a white supremacy meme. 4chn regularly pulls tactics from this manual to normalize their ways of thinking. radicalqueer meant someone who took action to change norms and laws - i worked as a member of a group called the radqueers. we organized for housing and feeding the homeless, as the homeless are disproportionately queer youth fleeing abusive environments. you know how people now contribute radqueer to pro-pedophilia? that's 4chn shit. adopt a term with meaning and shit on it so people can't organize with it.
i'm a fucking herm. i was called a baeddel as a kid, by an archaic ass schoolteacher who still thought we should beat the left handed. fucking "shemale" was an intersexist slur levied at me throughout my life - and it is also levied at trans women and is also transmisogynistic! but it would not be conductive to reality for me to claim that trans women aren't called this word because it's intersexist and they're not intersex so they don't experience intersexism. this shifting rhetorical focus shit of narrowing down terms until they're basically useless (or vice versa, broadening language until it loses meaning) is actively setting back our progress.
the sex binary is bullshit, this new "trans approved!" sex binary is bullshit, and leaving our siblings behind through these divisions is antithetical to queer radicalism (and not the co-opted 4chn definition of queer radicalist) you're actively shitting up the conversation. we should be talking about our experiences, not about who is or is not experiencing something we have experienced - just as we would expect them not to tell us what we have or have not experienced.
and someone calling you a sockpuppet or an astrotufer isn't bigotry. you're peddling alt-right division tactics. you come across as disingenuous because that's the whole point of these psychological tactics, to be disingenuous and bog down progress. and if you aren't someone infiltrating in order to shit up the conversation, you're a useful idiot who fell for this disruption bullshit.
i am an intersex, intergendered and jewish "othergendered" (as i call myself) trans person, and i stand with my transmasculine brothers and siblings, with my transfeminine sisters and siblings, with those who reject or abstract new genders of various kinds, and with my fellow intersex individuals who seek to dismantle the binary. i don't believe in cannibalizing each other to try to establish praxis. that's an active detriment to that work.
STOP INFANTILIZING TRANS MEN AND TRANSMASCS. ITS DISGUSTING AND EXTREMELY TRANSPHOBIC.
#hope my addition is alright#i have much to say and i made a new sideblog so i don't clog up my main. but i fit many jewish gender identities as an intersex person#and i have always seen this shit for the colonialist white bioessentialist neonazi fash peddling that it is.#i was intersexramonaflowers before but i deleted my account because i was sick of the shit stirring people do. but i have a lot of thoughts#about this as a scholar and an activist who did actual footwork in my community.#this shit leeches into the outside world too. don't let people pretend it's just online discourse. it has ramifications.#â

y'all I'm so mad with you Jayvik shippers. I get it, it was gay, I thought they were super fruity in season 1 already as well, but please have a critical thought. their arc in act 3 coopted the ENTIRE story including their storyline (referencing the last post I reblogged here): arcane is about classist oppression, Viktor got to suffer it firsthand as a Zaunite on Topside. this never was about an evil god, or the arcane, Zaun has been in shit since forever as far as I'm concerned. Viktor only started ascending to evil godhood in act 2 of this season. to make him or his delusion out as the real evil that needs to be combatted in order to fix everything is batshit. the villain isn't Viktor or Ambessa or Silco or Mel or Singed or whoever IT'S PILTOVER AS A SYSTEM. and I thought we were all agreeing on this already, but so many of you saw the poor gay Zaunite who just wanted to help turn evil and gobbled it up. Piltover got away without any blame, since Viktor wasn't even one of their people. Besides, I cannot be the only one who thinks that this all is incredibly out of character for Viktor and needed more explanation.
and don't get me wrong, the jayvik scene looked amazing and if my two faves astrally conected through divine bleach and tones while being existential about their relationship I'd also jump, trust me, I've watched she ra. and I can't even say I'd like it to be different, but it is taking up too much importance. it could've been a catalyst to unite Zaun and Piltover through a common cause and get them to work some systematic issues out, it could have been anything but this. none of Piltovers crimes were addressed, Zaun is still in poverty and the only systematic change that happened was one (1) Zaunite being allowed in the council, which really means nothing, because the council decides by vote and there is like seven Topside council members.
I'm very much disappointed by a show who I thought was really in synch with today's systematic issues up until now (and I'm mad at all you jayvik people for clogging up the tag, when there is so much to discuss) and that doesn't even take into account that they made the mentally ill character that most unstable and suicidal people relate to A LOT kill herself??
#I feel like y'all just saw gay sparkly shit in space and ran with it#but their arc is BULLSHIT#I'm not even sorry about it considering the things I've seen y'all post here#arcane#arcane spoilers#arcane season 2#arcane s2#arcane s2 spoilers#still mad#jayvik

goodnight song is what we thought it would be and more đ
even before this was fully released, we already had expectations and clowning related to it. and a line from this song was the first real clue we had that the rumored album was actually true. so cpn aside, this track will always be special. there is an official explanation to this song and everyone is free to keep it that way because itâs a perfectly good message that goes well with the entire album. however, as with all other kinds of art, it is up for interpretation. and whoâs to say there arenât alternative meanings. itâs not like he can publicly say that oh, this is about the loml. anyway, while i was reading through some reactions to it i found one that perfectly describes it:
There is not a word about love, but every sentence is filled with love. Every word in the lyrics is a clear love story that people who know can understand at a glance.
and thatâs the beauty of this song. it doesnât have love in big bold letters but to those of us who have paid attention for years, we can see it.
so what did we see? âŚ..
letâs look at the lyrics. đ
Using a bowl of noodles, a bowl of soup
To flush away this piece of sorrow that warms the heart
Thinking again of her, or of him
Just think of it as an after-meal refreshment
i was already freaking out with the first line! sure, you can say he is talking about a comfort food that makes him less lonely but then the next part goes that he is thinking of someone. who could it be? who was the someone who nagged him to eat noodles? not only that, the same person who always asked him to eat well? YIBO.
i think this is common knowledge by know. the infamous wonton noodles. even his solos cannot deny what they saw in the cql bts. even in lrlg, this is a usual scenario.
đ˘ "I'll cook noodles for you"
đ˘ âGet off the car and eat noodlesâ
đ˘ "Mom said, when you come back, let me cook noodles for you."
đ˘ "I'll cook noodles for you. Where can you eat your first meal if you're not at home?"
yibo making sure that xz is eating well and vice versa. as a cpf, this is one of those clues that made me side-eye their relationship. itâs not even the fact that wyb made sure he eats cause any friend can do that â but the lengths he would go to make sure xz did. it was different.
and now xz gave his answer of how he saw that. in this first line alone. it warmed his heart. it was and is an act of love in itâs most basic form đĽšđĽšđĽšđĽš
i also feel like this is a case of if you know, you know. if that first line didnât hit you in the head then no amount of explanation will.
Don't be too pessimistic; need to try to become habituated sooner or later
The one left behind has no choice but to bear it
A 'good night' left for my past
this to me is him having to get used to the distance from a lover because of his work. but they have no choice but to bear it and try to live through it by the good night from the last time they met/spoke.
How many people, must take how many corners
Before being able to find their other half
Don't retreat, seeing your single-mindedness
Is able to disperse my anxieties
xz acknowledges how hard it is to find your soulmate. your twin flame. and most likely, harder to keep it. but as explained here, that personâs single mindedness or maybe you can say that personâs devotion towards him is enough to soothe his anxieties.
when you hear single mindedness or maybe single minded focus, doesnât that remind you of yibo? and i love how cpfs went back on how persistent yibo was when it comes to xz (evidenced by mostly cql bts). some saw it as being a gremlin or him being a naive boy with a crush but clearly xz was comforted by it. most likely even now. as yibo said, what he decided when he was 21, he will continue on till 81. that level of commitment to xz is what he needs to drive away the anxieties.
Using a short phrase, a bowl of food
To take away the entire night's loneliness
Time to stop speaking, the sun's about to rise
Thank you for the warmth you gifted me
Thank you for the 'good night' you gifted me
there we go with the sunrise again đ and love and affection equated with warmth.
this is a really sweet way to describe love. itâs not about someone being with you at night but one who can take away the loneliness with just a good night. no kiss. no hugs. nothing barely physical mentioned. but something as simple as a good night. that at the end of a long exhausting day, or whatever happens, he has that someone who will wish him a good night.
iâm gonna cry đđđđđ
and oh someone pointed out that the lyrics, you can see Y & B. YIBO. what a coincidence!
-END.
P.S: feel free to interpret this song however you want. this post is not a space to argue about what other meaning it could have. if you want the official meaning, his team already released that. there is no point in debating or trying to convince me of whatever. this post is on the cpf side so if thatâs not you, why are you even reading this post lol.

Saw a post about Mushang and it's similarities to Liushen, then thought about how interesting it would be to have those in the same fic â then I went down a rabbit hole that included Mobing and Gongzhi (for some reason?)
so... here's this plotbunny, it's really fucking long though, sorry!
(oops, it posted before I finished, sorry about that, it's fixed now!)
-
Shang Qinghua knew, theoretically, that his death would be at the hands of Mobei-jun. He knew that when he saved him, he knew that all these years of serving him, but... it's finally sunk in. That Mobei-jun is going to kill him. That the bruises and frostbite and broken bones are all leading up to his death. He wraps another cut and thinks, somewhat deliriously... that maybe he should've killed Mobei-jun on that mission.
Shen Qingqiu knew his fate â the fate of the Scum Villain. He knew that any goodwill he'd built up was destroyed the moment he pushed Luo Binghe into the Abyss. Knows that all those years of treating him well, only to betray him, may have actually made the situation worse. He thinks back on that day, suddenly realizing that he probably could've made it look like an accident â he could've had Binghe "accidentally" pushed into the Abyss during the chaos, could've faked a Without-A-Cure flare up to excuse his lack of rescue. Maybe, if he'd done that, Binghe would've had mercy.
Their weekly meetings become stilted, their tea goes cold, their snacks uneaten. They don't argue about Airplane's terrible writing, they don't even reminisce over AC or the internet. The air is filled with unease, polluting each of their peaks... until they both snap. They confide in each other, cursing the System, cursing their choices, and try to plan â to dig themselves out of these holes they've dug. The clock is ticking for Binghe's return. Shang Qinghua's wounds are getting worse â he doesn't know if his death will be expedited or delayed at this rate.
And so, they argue and plan and eventually come to a few conclusions...
Shang Qinghua needs the protection of the sect. Needs to confess and beg for Yue Qingyuan's protection as he abandons Mobei-jun. Needs the protection of someone Mobei-jun had no chance of defeating.
Shen Qingqiu, likewise, needs protection â but it's written that Luo Binghe cannot lose, not to anyone in the sect... no one, except for Liu Qingge, who didn't live long enough to fight him, who didn't have a single canonical fight for the world to measure him against. The War God. The one person that wasn't bound by the narrative.
They decide to deal with Shang Qinghua first â Binghe isn't scheduled to leave the Abyss for years, after all. Mobei-jun, however, is a current threat. Every meeting leaves Shang Qinghua with more and more injuries, injuries that the original goods never had to deal with. They don't know if this Mobei-jun is going to follow PIDW's timeline. They don't know how long it'll take before he beats Shang Qinghua to a bloody pulp. After some arguing, it's agreed to come clean to Mu Qingfang first â to test the waters. He's been treating all of Shang Qinghua's wounds since they were disciples, and he'd be good back up if Yue Qingyuan didn't immediately cave to Shen Qingqiu's demands. Of course, Shang Qinghua wouldn't tell the complete truth â no one needed to know that Shang Qinghua spared Mobei-jun because he was hot â but he wouldn't alter the story too much. Better to keep to small lies, easy to keep consistent.
If it goes poorly... they'll just run. They'll abandon the friends and family they've found here, and they'll use whatever plot devices they can find to disguise themselves. The only reason it's not Plan A is because Mobei-jun knows Shang Qinghua's qi signature, and the only artifacts they know that can change qi signatures are... annoying to acquire and dangerous to use.
-
Mu Qingfang isn't surprised when Shang-shixiong shows up with various injuries, absolutely covered in demonic qi. It's routine at this point to sit him down, perform a check up, and ask questions he knows won't be answered. So he does. He heals the cuts and bruises, sets and heals the bones, and does his best to calm the eternally-stressed qi lest his shixiong have a deviation. He asks how this happened, expecting the usual evasive answer (hating that his shixiong is being abused while he does nothing but fix the aftermath), and...
and Shang Qinghua answers.
His shixiong, after yearsâ decades of asking, stutters out an explanation. That he's been a spy for Mobei-jun since that mission where he was the only survivor. That he did it because he was scared, that by the time he was powerful enough to do anything about it, Mobei-jun was a king, and it would probably start a war if he killed him. He says Mobei-jun's been hurting him more often, that he's terrified he's going to die, and Mu Qingfang carefully soothes his shixiong's qi as tears start to fall and he stutters out his plan to team up with Shen-shixiong to tell Zhangmen-shixiong, to beg for forgiveness â for protection, even if it means sitting in a prison cell. He just doesn't want to die.
And in the face of his sobbing shixiong, constantly over-worked and terrified, Mu Qingfang promises to help. Because what else can he do? Turn his back on the shixiong he's been watching slowly fall apart over the decades? The shixiong he's watched go from introverted to downright anxious â the shixiong he's had to pick up and put back together with increasing frequency. Even if he hadn't come clean, Mu Qingfang would've had to have done something soon, with the way the injuries were increasing in severity. He's just glad Shang-shixiong told him first, so they could approach the sect leader together. It wouldn't have been good for his shixiong's stress levels if he'd demanded the sect leader interrogate him to figure out what was going on.
So, the two meet up with Shen Qingqiu and demand a meeting with Yue Qingyuan, who, as always, immediately makes time for Shen-shixiong. Shang Qinghua stutters through his story again, Mu Qingfang regulating his qi, and Shen Qingqiu bringing out a particular icy glare whenever Yue Qingyuan looks like he's going to interrupt. Zhangmen-shixiong's face is carefully blank by the time Shang Qinghua finishes speaking, at which point, Mu Qingfang decides to speak up.
He tells Zhangmen-shixiong of the countless injuries over the decades, of his certainty of their demonic origin, even during that first meeting. He tells the sect leader that if Shang Qinghua is going to be punished for protecting himself, for preventing a war, then he'll need to punish Mu Qingfang too. As a head disciple, he should've reported any suspicious injuries to his shizun, as a Peak Lord, he should've immediately informed Zhangmen-shixiong of Shang Qinghua's continuous injuries and of their suspiciously demonic origin. He says that he has even less of an excuse than Shang Qinghua, who was genuinely afraid for his life and the well-being of his sect. Mu Qingfang simply didn't want to make the situation worse for him, ignoring all rules and expectations that would've had the situation cleared up sooner.
Shen Qingqiu, clearly approving of Mu Qingfang's ardent defense, decides to continue, stating that the sect hasn't experienced an increase in failed missions or other sabotage. He explains that, clearly, Shang Qinghua had been doing his best to protect the sect, even under such strenuous circumstances. He sees no reason to be harsh towards someone who'd been a child when it started, and who was so thoroughly terrified that he only approached Shen Qingqiu, as a friend, because he could see he'd end up dead sooner or later due to the beatings.
Yue Qingyuan lets them all say their piece, and sighs. He sees Shang Qinghua's terror, and he understands both Mu Qingfang and Shen Qingqiu's arguments. He says that this was a breach of trust, that ordinarily this would call for execution, but... Shang Qinghua has not caused harm to the sect, and had he continued, the only harm would've been to himself. As long as Mu Qingfang and Shen Qingqiu are willing to bear the consequences, Yue Qingyuan will allow this to be swept under the rug, never spoken of again.
Mu Qingfang and Shen Qingqiu are quick to agree, and Shang Qinghua's punishment is to update the sect's defense arrays... left unsaid was the expectation that Mobei-jun never be able to enter the sect again. And so, the matter is dealt with, and Shang-shixiong looks like he's had the weight of the world lifted off him once the arrays are complete.
So long as he doesn't leave the sect without a qi-cloaking artifact (courtesy of the Artifact Peak), he'll be safe. Mu Qingfang feels... thrilled, to know his shixiong won't have to suffer anymore.
-
Liu Qingge notices Shen Qingqiu's nerves as he cleanses his meridians. It's an unexpected change of pace, given the dour mood the man's been in for... months, at this point. The session finishes in silence, but there's an air of anticipation that has Liu Qingge... loitering, just a bit.
Eventually, Shen Qingqiu lets out a sigh, pours him tea, and starts to talk â quietly, as if ashamed of his words. He shares that, during the chaos at the end of the Immortal Alliance Concerence, his prized disciple broke a seal. It had been placed on him at birth, presumably by one of his parents, and revealed him to be a heavenly demon. He explains that he panicked at the sight of the seal, understanding what it meant, but his disciple looked just as shocked as him. He understood that his disciple was a demon, that he clearly didn't know that fact, and given the presence of multiple sects and the ongoing catastrophe... his disciple would die, if anyone else stumbled upon him.
Liu Qingge listens, as Shen Qingqiu shares that he pushed his own disciple into the Endless Abyss. His grief makes more sense now, Liu Qingge thinks. It's not just the grief of a teacher losing their favorite student, it's also the guilt of pushing that student into danger, even if it's to protect them. Even he would've hesitated to cut down the disciple, if he'd formed such a bond and the child clearly had no idea what was going on.
They continue sitting in silence, and Liu Qingge is almost ready to leave, before Shen Qingqiu speaks up again. He explains that Luo Binghe was a heavenly demon, and the last one â presumably his father â required the collaboration of multiple sects to seal away. There's a chance that Luo Binghe will survive the Abyss, and escape it.
There's a muted fear in Shen Qingqiu's eyes, as he states there's a chance Luo Binghe will hunt him down. That, given a demon's propensity for overreactions, he may take the entire sect with him. It wasn't like he explained his reasoning, when he pushed the child into the Abyss. All he'd know is that his caring shizun saw he was a demon and immediately pushed him into hell.
And Liu Qingge can understand that fear. Heavenly Demons were strong, too strong for even him to be confident in facing them alone. Even if this one was a child, if it managed to escape the Abyss... it would be too strong for Shen Qingqiu to survive. There's an obvious solution then: train until Shen Qingqiu is strong enough to at least run away.
He says that they'll go on hunts together, so Shen Qingqiu can fight those beasts he knows so much about, to get in practice as they look for any artifact that might help him. He says they'll spar, and he'll even let him face the Bai Zhan disciples for variety. Shen Qingqiu is... reluctant, but quickly realizes that it's probably his best option. With the condition that they return to the sect at least once a month to check on his disciples, he agrees to Liu Qingge's proposal.
They'll both train, and Liu Qingge won't let him out of sight for even a moment â not with a heavenly demon after his head.
-
The months afterwards are... peaceful.
An Ding grows used to the sight of Mu Qingfang, who arrives just before dawn every morning to share breakfast with Shang Qinghua before they must start work. They do each other's hair and gossip, sharing whatever happened the day before as they get ready. Without the constant fear, and with Mu Qingfang's help taming his curls (as the only other one in the sect with curly hair), the sect slowly comes to realize that Shang Qinghua is a total knockout, actually, it was just hidden behind frizzy hair, eyebags, and his constant terrified hunching.
There are still bad days, of course, where Mu Qingfang has to insist he delegate his work to his head disciple, or where Shang Qinghua ends up on Qian Cao in the middle of the night having a panic attack, but... they're growing rarer as time passes. Qian Cao learns to turn their heads when Shang Qinghua arrives with an early shipment or unexpected, expensive goods. They learn to mind their business when they see him comfort their Shizun after a particularly challenging day.
It doesn't really surprise anyone when they start courting. The only surprise is that Shang Qinghua is the one that started it, but even that is less shocking now than it would've been the year before. An Ding is happy that their shifu finally looks safe and healthy (he actually stops working at a reasonable hour now, even if it is still after sunset), and Qian Cao is glad their shizun has someone of his own to vent to (given the stress of his job and the various struggles that come with it).
As for Qing Jing, they're absolutely thrilled that their shizun isn't moping anymore. The loss of Binghe hit them hard too, but seeing Shen Qingqiu make the effort to go on hunts made it easier for them to move on too. They miss him, when he's gone, but he always returns with treats from various villages, and a week's worth of stories and lessons to impart. He's even compiled his own bestiary! Ning Yingying has taken to giving Liu Qingge sweets as a thank you for helping her shizun, and Ming Fan grows more comfortable in his old role as head disciple, with how his shizun actually sees him and compliments him, rather than missing Binghe. The Bamboo House is still... a very hard place to be. Without Shizun, it's empty, and even with his recovery, the vacant room seems to bring back his grief.
Seeing this, Qing Jing is both relieved and absolutely pissed when Liu Qingge offers up his spare room instead. Shen Qingqiu accepts, and it's become common for him to join the Bai Zhan disciples in their morning exercises before returning to teach on Qing Jing. They are, understandably, absolutely pumped to have another Peak Lord around to fight (on top of their own being around more often! Shifu teaches them more! And is he getting better at it? What miracles!)
They settle into a routine, and, though it takes an unexpectedly long time, they announce their courting to Yue Qingyuan, who looks both heartbroken and extremely happy for them. Qing Jing gives Liu Qingge a surprisingly scary shovel talk (though he's mostly amused, he respects their dedication), but are overall very happy that their shizun is happy. Bai Zhan is just cheering that another Peak Lord has basically taken up permanent residence, since Shen Qingqiu stays in Liu Qingge's house rather than the bamboo house. They enjoy the unique challenge he gives, and some of the braver ones tell their shifu that he better treat him right or they'll try to take him for themselves (he went particularly hard on them after that, but they had zero regrets â Shen-shibo is a catch after all!)
Meanwhile, Mobei-jun is... frustrated and heartbroken. He can no longer enter Cang Qiong Sect, and he can no longer find Shang Qinghua's qi signature. He doesn't know why â was Shang Qinghua caught? Is he dead? Why else would he just... randomly leave? He's stuck with Mobei-jun for decades, why would he leave now? What was the catalyst? Was he truly so uncomfortable with Mobei-jun's courting? Why wouldn't he just say so!?
The questions leave him angry and frustrated, with no way to get answers. It's only after he enters Luo Binghe's service (an embarrassing loss â would he have done better with Qinghua's advice?) that he finally gets... something of an answer. A potential explanation.
Luo Binghe has no friends in the demon realm, trusts absolutely no one, but he's still a kind person. When he sees that Mobei-jun is frustrated, all it takes is that curly haired boy (a face so similar to Qinghua's) asking for all the questions to come spilling out. Whether it takes hours or minutes, Mobei-jun doesn't know, all he remembers is the lesson from that conversation:
Humans court differently. Constant physical bombardment is known as abuse.
And Mobei-jun is sick.
He hurt Qinghua. He drove away the one man that stuck with him through everything, just because he couldn't be bothered to double check that his courting would be understood. According to Luo Binghe... it was a miracle Shang Qinghua hadn't left sooner. And the worst part? Mobei-jun can't right this wrong. He can't explain himself. Because Cang Qiong has new wards, and Shang Qinghua has figured out how to make himself thoroughly disappear, even though Mobei-jun does receive word when the Peak Lord is spotted during a trade deal. He can't get Qinghua back. There's nothing he can do.
So he stays by Luo Binghe's side. His curly hair, his similar face... these days, Mobei-jun curses himself for not digging into Shang Qinghua's history. For this boy is an orphan, a street rat, and now it would be near impossible to find out his true relation to Shang Qinghua, given that no one knew which humans Tianlang-jun had bed. It doesn't truly matter, whether he is a cousin, brother, or nephew, Mobei-jun will right his wrongs through Shang Qinghua's kin, unable to reach the man himself.
-
When Luo Binghe leaves the Demon Realm, he goes to Huan Hua, and things progress pretty much as they did in canon, with Shen Qingqiu running, absolutely fucking terrified, being force fed blood, and agreeing to be held in the Water Prison to avoid blowback on the sect. Only difference is that Liu Qingge tried to kill LBH, which almost caused an incident with Huan Hua, because no one believed he was a demon. In the water prison, Luo Binghe sees... a ring. He knows his shizun never wore that before, so he asks about it. Not wanting to put Liu Qingge in even more danger, Shen Qingqiu stays silent.
Gongyi Xiao helps Shen Qingqiu escape, and things continue to progress. When Liu Qingge squares up to fight Luo Binghe, he notices him wearing a ring, threaded onto a necklace, and so similar to Shen Qingqiu's. It doesn't take him long to process the fact that his beloved shizun is... already taken.
By Liu fucking Qingge.
He's thoroughly pissed off, he goes to attack, but pauses when he sees his shizun grip Liu-shishu tightly, shaking like a leaf. He looks like he's preparing to take his husband and run. The thought is... off-putting. Because Liu Qingge is the War God of Bai Zhan Peak. Why doesn't Shizun have faith in the man he married?
So he asks.
And Shen Qingqiu doesn't answer.
Liu Qingge still hasn't relaxed, ready to attack at any moment, and Luo Binghe is running out of patience.
"If Shizun finds this demon despicable enough to throw into the Abyss, he should let his husband kill it."
"That's not why he did it."
Liu Qingge's words throw him off balance. He expected the man to be shocked, hearing that his loving husband had done such a thing (maybe cause a rift in their relationship), he expected, maybe, to be attacked for being so disrespectful.
Liu Qingge then explains, because Shen Qingqiu is terrified into silence.
And Luo Binghe is crushed. Shizun threw him into the Abyss... to save him? Shizun was scared for his safety?
And suddenly Luo Binghe feels sick, when he remembers what he's done. How he hurt Shizun, who was too scared to answer. Who just wanted to protect him, only to realize later that he wasn't thinking straight â that his words were twisted in his effort to get Luo Binghe into the safest place possible in that moment: the Endless Abyss. The shizun that believed in his capabilities enough to be afraid that he'd come seeking revenge.
The fight drains out of him, Liu Qingge doesn't relax, but Shen Qingqiu behind him looks just the slightest bit more curious than terrified. Luo Binghe pulls out a note, written from Mobei-jun to Shang Qinghua, and drops it onto the roof. "This disciple apologizes to Shizun. Please ensure this message gets to Shang-shishu." He uses Xin Mo to teleport to a different roof, staying just long enough to see Liu Qingge hand the note to Shen Qingqiu, who collapsed bonelessly into his side.
He goes to the Northern Desert, rather than the Southern Kingdom. He arrives in the sitting area of Mobei-jun's quarters, and plops himself into a seat. He thinks, and thinks, and he's feeling absolutely awful by the time Mobei-jun arrives. He takes one look at Luo Binghe's disheveled state, and takes the seat next to him.
They talk.
Mobei-jun is a surprisingly comforting presence. He'd always listened and offered advice, but Luo Binghe didn't think he'd have the patience for talking him through... whatever the hell this is. Heartbreak? He isn't sure.
It helps though, and Luo Binghe feels much lighter. Mobei-jun had already promised to never darken Cang Qiong's doorstep, to never go anywhere near Shang Qinghua again, after what he'd done... Luo Binghe would just have to do the same. Even if all he wanted was to go back to Qing Jing, to his room in the Bamboo House... but Shizun is married now, there's no way he'd allow Luo Binghe to stay there permanently.
So he just... stays in the Demon Realm. He's an emperor now, surely Shizun wouldn't want him neglecting that duty? And even if he would've liked Shizun's advice... Mobei-jun would have to do. He had experience, and he's been nothing but helpful. Decision made, Luo Binghe embraces his status as the Demon Emperor, and gives it his full attention.
Without him, Shen Qingqiu's trial falls apart, even as the Palace Master accuses Liu Qingge of killing Luo Binghe. There's not enough concrete evidence for Shen Qingqiu's crimes, and the character defenses from the sect and his husband all speak louder than Qiu Haitang's slander. Even if Liu Qingge was in extremely hot water with Huan Hua, they couldn't prove he'd done anything either.
Shen Qingqiu delivers Mobei-jun's note to Mu Qingfang, asking him to be there when Shang Qinghua read it, because who knew what was in it. He agrees, and they read it as soon as possible, to get it over with.
It's an apology, with an explanation of their different cultures and a promise to never bother him again. It's a promise to right his wrongs through Luo Binghe, who he assumes to be related to Shang Qinghua through the boy's mother. It's short and blunt, and Shang Qinghua is... conflicted. He loves Mu Qingfang, and honestly, couldn't even dream of a life without him, but... Mobei-jun was his dream man. Thinking like that... perhaps it was for the best that they didn't end up together. The reality could never live up to the expectation.
More importantly, is him remembering his half-sister in this life: Xi-jie. Who had suddenly cut contact with him completely, and who he'd never managed to track down afterwards, not having known her full name. Shang Qinghua is crushed, to realize the protagonist was that close to being given a better life. Had Su Xiyan managed to contact him at any point, he would've taken her son in in a heartbeat. Mu Qingfang consoles him, and they decide, jointly, that it was for the best if he didn't pursue that relationship. Not with Mobei-jun promising to stick by the boy, and not with the way he'd treated Shen Qingqiu.
And everyone just... moves on with their lives.
Mu Qingfang and Shang Qinghua are happy together; they have three kids that get absolutely spoiled by their disciples, and they take care of each other, ensuring neither overworks too severely. Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu, without the threat of Binghe's return hanging over them, relax more. They enjoy peaceful days with the Qing Jing disciples, they have fun jointly beating up the Bai Zhan disciples and teaching them new moves, and their hunts aren't nearly as battle-focused as they were before, giving Shen Qingqiu a chance to study the beasts rather than immediately going to fight them.
Luo Binghe and Mobei-jun are rarely apart and treat each other as equals in all things. They value the other's advice when implementing policies, and they will each jump to the other's defense, whether it be physically or through words. It surprises absolutely no one when their affair is found out â at first a convenient way to control Xin Mo, eventually morphing into a proper relationship. They're the rulers of the demon realm, they need not abide by the rules, but... Luo Binghe enjoys planning the wedding, and Mobei-jun can't deny him that, even if it meant dealing with the paperwork of technically merging the two kingdoms but also not. Their broken hearts have long been mended by each other, and it's no surprise when they have six children, close-knit and loving, like the family they wished they'd had sooner.
-
Tianlang-jun rotted away, despite Zhuzhi-lang's best efforts. His last act was to give Zhuzhi-lang enough energy to sustain his human form indefinitely. He is purposeless, and alone, and he sits beside his uncle's corpse for far longer than he should have. There's nothing left for him, not with his uncle gone.
So he exits the cave, and he sits under a tree, out in the open. He is very clearly a demon within Huan Hua territory, so it wouldn't take long for a cultivator to stumble upon him and put him out of his misery. Sure enough, in the middle of his patrol, Gongyi Xiao sees a snake demon just... sitting there. He doesn't look hostile, nor does he look like he's going to move.
He also just... looks kinda pathetic.
So, Gongyi Xiao makes a decision. He can't, in good conscience, leave it there. If he does, and it attacks someone, that's his fault. He also can't just kill it if it's not even doing anything. So he decides to... initiate conversation.
It takes a while for Zhuzhi-lang to bother properly responding, but once he does, they get along quite well. He shares stories about his and his uncle's journies through the human realm, reminiscing as he starts to process his grief. Gongyi Xiao decides, maybe this demon isn't that bad actually, and before they know it, it's sun down and Gongyi Xiao is very late.
They meet daily, with Gongyi Xiao taking on more patrols than usual to make sure his demon is doing alright. Eventually, though, pieces of Zhuzhi-lang's story start to... click. They conflict with things he's been told by his shizun. Maybe Zhuzhi-lang is misremembering in his grief, but... he's concerned enough to start investigating on his own.
He finds a lot of dirt on the Old Palace Master, most of it completely unrelated to Su Xiyan, which is what he was actually trying to investigate. Eventually, he grows so disgusted with the sheer amount of crimes the old man has committed that he decides to just... start a coup. He's well-liked, so it's easy enough to get people on his side â it's even easier when he starts spreading rumors and has all of the man's misdeeds printed into a fairly popular book (more than a few publishing houses were burned down because of it, oops). He didn't... intend to replace the old man, but that's what happened and, hey, now he can bring his demon home and no one can fight him over it, yes sect leaders, he's perfectly sane, thank you.
Zhuzhi-lang learns that he's just as attracted to competence and beauty as Tianlang-jun, he just prefers his with a side of kindness rather than tsundere. He also finds it incredibly funny that everyone just... pointedly ignores his presence. A demon he may be, but their sect leader wanted him there, so there he would stay. The whole scenario brings to mind the forbidden romances his uncle loved to read about. As he settles in, watching Gongyi Xiao overhaul Huan Hua Palace and all its greedy rules, he thinks his uncle would want to see how this story ends.

Searching, and absolutely failing, to find what on earth that screenshot you shared has to do with my analysis. Also not sure why youâve brought this up after months.
I thought that perhaps, I had forgotten about something Iâd liked, but nope!
I didnât repost, and didnât like that. Iâm not sure what the username is, cannot see it in the reblogs or comments, so I cannot say for sure if itâs somebody I follow. So Iâm not sure why youâre bringing it back to me.
You incorrectly attributed a quote and interaction poignant to Steph and Cass- and more importantly, core to an element of Cassâ personality and identityâŚand attributed it to two brothers who donât barely communicate and donât tend to be particularly kind to one another. Thatâs a little weird. If youâre a fan of Cass and Steph, and have read batgirl, youâll understand why that moment is specific and important to them.
Iâve got content on this app, and others, actively disavowing folks actively decrying/mocking younger fem presenting fans and women for enjoying fanon.
I pretty actively try and ensure that folks donât harass people. Critiquing a choice which feeds into a history of things being misattributing to the bat boys, both by fanon and DC, to make them look better, isnât harassment.
Even if they only enjoy fanon and are âcringeâ, thereâs space and time for those folks. Just as there is for the lads who only know the video game content, which is also, arguably, fan content.
DC Comics Incorrect Quotes Pt 235
Tim: Why does everyone I care about die?
Jason: Because... you care about everybody. And everybody dies.
Steph, to Damian: You carry yourself with the confidence of a much taller man.
#I just looked at your tag for the incident trying to find clarity and Iâve still absolutely not got it#I cannot look things further on twitter now as Iâve deactivated it due to their AI policies and Elon Muskâs generally fuckery#but I genuinely have no idea who you are across platforms but you clearly seem to know and hate me

r.e. with johnny banging one of his maids
what's the breaking point or final straw that makes the maid finally snap and make the decision to leave soap? or, maybe even the point just before the decision is made?
-- đ
Omg my first anon who signs their name! Welcome! Enjoy this angsty piece! Following the revelation that she is not the only one Johnny sees in the duchy, she does her best to limit her time with him. The thought of him touching her makes her skin crawl, makes her stomach curdle over the memory of him holding the other maid so tightly to him (the way he held her, how many more are there-). However, she also knows she cannot avoid him entirely, cannot retreat fully as he is still her employer, a fact seared into the forefront of her mind now when it should have been when this all started. She tries not to show her discomfort when he leans into her space, as she can now smell the perfumes of other women on his skin, can see his plump mouth most likely having kissed another before coming to her. She wonders if he even bothered to wash himself between, or if the hands he touches her with are still coated in the consequences of his actions. There's no comfort in his concern over her, him spending more and more time as the days go by to coax her into telling him what's the matter, is someone bothering her? He'll make it all go away for his sweet little maid, his favorite. He winks as he says their inside joke; bile creeps up her throat at the knowledge the joke is on her and always has been. She just manages to kiss him, brushing off anything further with a variety of excuses: She isn't feeling well, there is so much she has to do, a guest is due shortly. She even uses the tried and true 'I am unclean' excuse, face flushed as she looks down, desperate for him to believe it even though the stress of the situation she has found herself in has put it off for the forseeable future. Every time she feels her heart lurch over the sight of him, her stomach lurches as well. It's a struggle for her to keep food down, constantly envisioning the man she loves with other women. The knowledge he would have to wed someone of his station had always loomed over her, the thought of him forsaking his reputation due to being in love with her a fantasy she only indulges in when she lays down for bed. These days the thought brings more cruelty than comfort, and it's resulted in her stumbling from bed to heave up the meager portion of dinner that she manages to eat. The other staff notice how there seems to be an air of illness about her, her face paler than before, eyes red-rimmed at times, the dazed look she gets when she thinks no one is watching. The cooks especially take note of it, see how she struggles to keep food down, how she picks at her plate unless it's the blandest of soup or a portion of fruit. The head cook, a stern woman who runs the kitchen efficiently and while putting the fear of God into those who test her, has rubbed her back alongside the head maid more times than not when she hangs her head in the toilet. "I swear lass, you heave more than an expecting mother. Duke MacTavish ought to call in the doctor and have you seen to already, before you waste away!" If her eyes weren't blinded by tears, they would be wide open in horror. The vomiting, the missed days, the sleeping... All caused by stress yes but... Is there anything more stressful than carrying a new life inside of you? Particularly one born of such circumstances? Her breathing picks up, the last of the bile coughed out while her mind races, the thought growing more and more sure as she thinks back to the days when she and Johnny had gone further than they ever should have. The best case scenario is people assuming she is a loose woman; a random unnamed man being the father and her child being a bastard. The possibility to spin it as her being taken advantage of by a man who was passing through town is there, not likely to work but still an option. The worst case though? The scandal of bearing a Duke's bastard, of having lain in her employer's bed? All of them would be ruined.
The head maid sends her to bed to ensure she doesn't get anyone else sick with whatever she has. She lays in her bed, hand shakily pressed over her stomach, watery eyes fixed on the ceiling while she bites her lip to keep from sobbing. She has to get out, even if there is no child inside her. Things have crossed a line and she's clawing at it to let her back on the other side. This was doomed from the start, and this needs to end before this becomes a choice she can't take back. There has been recent gossip of the Baron of the woods returning, of him needing new staff due to several of his retiring from age. No connections to Duke MacTavish, a place out of the eyes of society, a man who does not partake in the prodding of other's status. It appears she will need to find a way to visit the Baron's home discretely. Soon.

I gave myself some time to think after watching act III, and I can finally share my thoughts. Let me break it down episode by episode so itâs more coherent because Iâm itching to talk about it. Buckle up because this wonât be short.
cw: mentions of sh, depression, borderline personality disorder, suicidal tendencies
episode 7 â Pretend Like Itâs the First Time
This whole episode felt like pure fanfiction and fan service, and I genuinely canât believe how Timebomb shippers are still standing after this. Throughout this whole episode, itâs been clearly shown how Ekko will only accept one version of Jinxâthe easy to digest one. The one that hasnât been traumatized. How can someone call it love? Love isnât picking and choosing what you accept, you either love the whole person or you donât. Alternate universe Powder is the epitome of the manic pixie dream girl archetype for the current timeline Ekko. Would Timebomb work in that alternate universe? Sure, but thatâs because itâs their reality. They donât know anything elseâPowder doesnât become the Jinx we know now. Alternate universe Ekko isnât faced with Jinxâs mental health problemsâhe has nothing to pick and choose from.
Do I hate Ekko? No, I actually like his character, but heâs torn between reality and fantasy. Can I blame him? Also no, because weâve seen his childhood. We can only imagine what damage losing everyone he loved and cared about at such a young age (and so suddenly) did to him mentally. I canât fault him for holding onto the past (even if he denies doing so), but it is an issue that stands in the way of current timeline Timebomb.
To him, thereâs only Powder or Jinx, but sheâs so much more complex than that. Itâs been shown repeatedly how Jinx is a part of Powder (the whole act I of season 1), and how Powder is still a part of Jinx (until the very end, no matter how hard she tried to get rid of her).
BONUS: The necklace Powder has speaks for itself. A blue rose represents, and I quote, âUnrequited love, a longing for the impossible. A yearning for someone out of reach or a relationship that cannot be fully realized.â Both Ekkoâs and Powderâs side profiles arenât on the same side of the necklace to begin with. They only merge once she spins it.
BONUS 2: Other than âMa meilleure ennemieâ by Stromae & Pomme being an absolute bop, some of you simply didnât translate it, and it shows. Here are some highlights, specifically Pommeâs lyrics (clearly depicting Jinx):
episode 8 â Killing Is a Cycle
The episode that started to break me. We see Jinx, absolutely drained, sitting in that cell because Ishaâs death was her breaking point. No one and I mean no one, showed that girl the love and acceptance she needed and deserved other than Isha. Not Silco, not Vi, not Ekko. Building that beautiful storyline for two acts straight just to rip it away from her in such a traumatizing wayâa parallel to the explosion at the warehouse, too? Wow. They were setting the stage for Jinxâs breakdown since the very beginning of this season. Making us watch the hope in her bloom, find something (or someone in this case) worth living for again, be loved and accepted for who she is just to watch it all burn and leave her with nothing againâpure evil.
âI didnât know your mom was there.â Can you hear my heart breaking even further? That brings me to my next point: Jinx in relation to Caitvi.
After watching all of what Caitlyn did this season, not only to the city but to Vi, and then still believing Caitvi is healthy? Are we watching the same show? Season 1 Caitvi stood a chance, but this? So shallow and underdeveloped. Cait became a whole dictator. She was Viâs breaking point, too, and the reason why she hit rock bottom in the first place. Jinx saw that firsthand, and she still thinks sheâs the one standing in the way of Viâs happiness? The only person standing in the way of that is Caitlyn herself, who isnât even being held accountable for her actions whatsoever at any point. âWe canât erase our mistakes.â but we clearly can pretend they never happened, right?
âSheâs being held in the bunker while I decide what to do.â What exactly did Cait expect from that? Telling Vi, her apparent love interestâwho knows what itâs like to suffer in prison, not even physically but straight up mentallyâthat sheâs keeping her mentally ill little sister in a cell while she decides what to do? Whatâs there to decide? And who are you to decide?
âIâm giving you this one chance to account for your actions, all the pain youâve caused.â Is this projecting I hear from Cait? Canât even tell since she never did what sheâs expecting from Jinx, having done far worse things than her by that point. She let martial law take place for fuckâs sake. She used the grey to gas the Undercity (which still boggles me that Vi agreed to it). She was ready to risk Ishaâs safety (a CHILD) just to get to Jinx.
BONUS (while Iâm at it): Caitlyn wouldâve missed the final shot, no matter how much she believed that she wouldnât. She missed the shot twice right before that: first, when she shot Jinxâs finger off, and second, when she accidentally shot at Vi. They gave us this shot of Cait looking crazed out for a reason. She was losing her mind.
She was blinded by grief, yes, but I was waiting for the moment where she finally admits to her wrongdoings (other than screaming âI know!â while tossing a boat figurine, that is). âNo amount of good deeds can undo our crimes.â Sure, and a lousy sex scene can?
Letâs talk about it.
When Jinx leaves Vi in the cell, sheâs clearly suicidal and mentally unwellâeven more than what weâve seen from her so far. The dialogue they gave her, again, making her believe that she was the issue all along was just heartbreaking to hear. Yes, itâs Jinxâs perception of herself, going back to her believing sheâs a jinx and how everyone close to her dies, but that perception of herself shifted when Isha came into the picture. And like I said, they took that away, so going back to the topic at hand.
Vi just being ready to hear another âI told you soâ from Caitlyn when she finds her, and then they just end up having âsexâ (or actually, just giving Cait the pleasure Vi deserved instead after everything she put her through). Weâve seen crumbs of unsatisfying communication between them about what happened, and that sex scene in the cell was the last straw for me at this point. What do you mean Vi saw her suicidal sister sitting in that very same cell (starving and self-harming herself, may I add) and instead of running after her, she pounces on Cait?
âBut the parallel to their first meeting back in s1!â I donât care. Thatâs just fucked up to witness. In what world would Viâwho swears to care about her familyâdo that? We see her as this family-oriented person, who doesnât give up on Jinx despite it all, and this was just so out of character in the name of fan service.
episode 9 â The Dirt Under Your Nails
Starting off strong, we see depressed and suicidal Jinx right off the bat. How did Ekko manage to get through to her? Well, itâs not like he wouldâve stopped either way. He wouldâve kept using his z-drive over and over again until he finally got it right.
What do we gain from that? Hopeful Jinx again, yippee! Wrong. Sheâs back for her sister, and itâs beautiful to witness. âIâm always with you. Even when weâre worlds apart.â Fighting with and for her, ready to die for herâwe saw time and time again how Jinx was never the true jinx she believed she was. She managed to fix things with Viâand even Ekko at this pointâand managed to find and bring joy. That was the true ending both sisters deserved.
What do we get instead? Implying that Jinx sacrifices herself for Vi. Other than the pure rollercoaster of emotions they put Jinx through, making a suicidal character kill themselves (or even implying so) is just plain insensitive. What message does that send? As I said in a comment section, the writers arenât blind, and theyâre not dumb either. They know how many mentally ill fans Jinx herself has. As someone who struggles with bpd too, I related to her character in so many ways. More than Iâm willing to share in this post, so that finale just left a bitter taste in my mouth. Speaking with other people who are struggling with their mental health helped me see that I wasnât the only one affected by it. Quoting my friend: âWe need to normalize considering the effects of the narrative on the fans.â And this isnât to say that every suicidal character should magically get better, this isnât how the real world works. But Jinxâs storyline had no reason to end on that note by that point. Forced and rushed.
Dead or runaway, leaving her with the âeverybodyâs better off without meâ narrative was just the wrong way to go about it. Plain and simple. It was rubbing salt into the wound, spitting in the face of her development. They decided to end the show with an underdeveloped Caitvi âendgameâ when they spent all this time developing Jinxâs arc. And all of this for what? Such a disappointing way to wrap things up, with literal crumbs as hints that maybe sheâs still alive.
And the bitter cherry on top of Caitviâs messy relationship this season, other than the complete lack of communicationâVi comparing herself to the dirt under Caitâs nails. What a cute (not really) way to remind us of their differences and Piltoverâs stance on Zaun for the majority of the showâseen as nothing more than dirt. When Sevika joins the Council after the war, sheâs still being looked down on. This just makes me sick.
BONUS: No mentions of Isha in Act III was pure evil (no, the paint on Jinxâs new outfit, the bunny ears on the balloon or even Ishaâs doll were not enough. I wanted her death to be properly acknowledged. No, I donât think it was too much to ask for). We got this beautiful found family arc between her, Jinx, and Sevika, only for it to be completely forgotten the moment Jinx reconciles with Vi.
BONUS 2: Jayce and Viktor were the perfect example of bromance. A friendship between two men can be gentle, affectionate, and loving without them being gay. No need for the ship, but I guess thatâs the least of my worries.
BONUS 3: If anyone brings up the âbeauty in imperfectionsâ monologue to defend the ending, know that Iâm not listening. They had such a beautiful show going for so long. Imperfections arenât the problem here, itâs the plain disappointment.
EDIT BONUS 4: Singed out of all people getting a happy ending was so disrespectful. What a cockroach that man is. Nothing and no one can get rid of him.
Media literacy is important. Thanks for coming to my rant.
disclaimer: this isnât me saying that the entire season was bad. But damn, do better.

hello! can i request seungkwan with fluff prompt #27?? thank youuu đŤśđź
hello, my dear! you can :) thank you for requesting! đ hopefully you will like it!
fluff prompt: 'is that my shirt?'
'boo seungkwan!' you roar the second door opens.
'i know, i'm sorry!' seungkwan shouts back, quickly taking off his shoes and running to your room. 'i'm sorry, my dear, so sorry!'
you already packed most of the stuff for this three days away trip, so when seungkwan enters, you greet him with a stern glare and arms crossed over your chest pose. he knows you hate being late. he knows it's the only thing that you absolutely cannot stand and because seungkwan is late, now you two are late for the meet up time with friends, who are also going to that away trip.
'everyone is waiting for us!' you huff, annoyed. 'thank god tour bus is late or we'd be in trouble!'
seungkwan has bunch of excuses on the tip of his tongue. the truth is he simply forgot at which time he's supposed to get off work, but on his way home he came up with many different reasons that can, hopefully, lessen your wrath. and he's about to let out at least one of them, but then he notices what you're wearing and his brain promptly shuts down. you're narrating what's in the bags, pointing at each one, when he interrupts you with: 'is that my shirt?'
you pause, blinking back at him. you look down at what you're wearing and nod, trying to hide your blush. 'yeah, why?'
seungkwan is not sure how to answer that question. is it too early in relationship to let you know that he goes a bit mental at seeing you in his clothes? that some possesive side of him, which apparently existed and just chose to not to show itself, is over the moon at this view? that he wants you to wear his shirts all the time starting from now? 'nothing-nothing,' seungkwan mumbles, standing up when you motion hm to go. 'uh- looks good on you. very pretty.'
'oh.' you pause again, watching as he takes all the bags, meaning to carry them. 'thank you. wait, i'll take one of the bags!'
'not happening,' seungkwan says strictly and quickly goes to the door, not wanting to bicker with you about this as well. you two already lost enough time as it is. 'hurry up, slow pants! we're late!'
'yeah and i wonder because of who!' you shout back, making him laugh. 'wait, let me quickly grab one more thing!'
that one more thing ends up being seungkwan's old warm coat and before he can say that he actually doesn't need one, you put it on yourself. oh. seungkwan swallows.
'good to go?' you ask, opening the door, having no idea how his brain is barely working because of you.
seungkwan nods and tries not to let out all of his thoughts show on his face: 'yeah, let's go.'
