This upload is inspired by one of my favorite vampire tv shows, What We Do in the Shadows. (It was supposed to be my Simblreen gift this year, but I'm hella late cuz IRL suuuuuucks...blood. 😅)

The DL folder includes 4 zip files:

WARNING: The lot uses a ton of CC. I have all of the EPs, and a lot of the Store CC too, so if you don't have EA's crap & items are missing, that might be why. But if you're not seeing any of the the 3rd party UGC, then I done goofed, sorry--it's been YEARS since I've shared my lots.

Verdant Market Full CC

I want to create market similar to Farmer's market in Big Apple, the protein inside and the greens bathing in the sun with their colourful healthy goodness. This market focused on selling product, produce and protein for your sim to gain health and youth ^^.

Floor plan:

This lot is pack with Aysarth basic gardening mods, what I like about her mod is not entirely global mod so it's pretty much safe to use.

Aside from gardening mod this market also offering groceries and protein from the sea, and a little bit of fruit cuisines such as salad and smoothies. However if you guys want to convert it to something else this lot it's pretty much wide for your creativity.

and if you sims tired and bored while doing groceries, you can have them rest drinking smoothies and BBQ near the pond. Even your sims's children can have some fun in small park.

Before downloading this lot I need to give you several notes before you decide to install it on your game:

This lot is very dense and packed with plants, so pink soup will inevitably appear during a long farming game. My suggestion is to run your Empty Standby List and lower your shadow and lightning use in the lot. Fortunately, so far, I have only encountered one pink soup. But somehow it's different in every computer.

Make sure you have bat box and stuck object remover in your file, in case plant plot (mostly by maxis) stuck and cannot be removed (even with moveobjects). I haven't encountered these problems so far on this lot so yeay, for now.

Make sure to have fire skills and fire-related mods, due to lightning becoming the biggest enemy of this lot. And it's going to be hella glitchy if you fail to extinguish it.

It's better to use only 1 Aysart fishing pebbles since this mod tends to attract Sims (especially households) to fish the autonomy of the mesh is pretty much high, especially for sims that only has 3-5 needs (Plant sims, Servo).

These are a few mods that I recommend you use to create a farming and grocery store business; they're all optional. I only included some of them on the lot since my lot is already crowded, so I made it as less intimidating as possible and remakeable.

Sardonicus - Jester from the Black Lagoon

I've been hella busy recently (work has been insane this year and I am FINALLY off for a few weeks) but here's a guy that has been itching at my imagination the last few days.

Sardonicus is a malevolent trickster being that lives and feeds off the shadows. Despite his terrifying nature, Sardonicus possesses a twisted charisma. His words and conversations, seeping with dark humor and sarcasm, tend to get under his enemies' skin. He easily suedes mortals to commit heinous acts.

One of his favorite tricks is to multiply himself, confusing those unfortunate enough to interact with him. He can travel anywhere through the shadows, acting as some sort of portal.

No one is clear as to where Sardonicus came from or what he exactly is, however, he claims to be the deific avatar for the God of Darkness--but that's a god that doesn't exist. He doesn't care if you don't believe him, though, that's just Sardonicus.

I saw you keep your CC folder around 5GB - how do you manage that? I always look up and am around 15GB and have been trying to cut back :(

heya @bunnyafton! the heaviest parts of my downloads folder are the deco and gameplay (mods/hacks) folder - I have TONS of deco and mods over anything else right now - after those are my defaults folder and even that isn't too bonkers.

with this, i heavily HEAVILY rely on defaults for most CAS stuff and some build/buy things so those folders are never too crazy.

it mostly comes down to having a lot of self-control and deciding what you need versus what you actually don't. i regularly go through my downloads every few months to ensure I keep it at/around 5gb.

this is a long-ish post so ill keep the rest under the cut but I want to keep this public in case it may help others too!

i come from a place where i had 15gb too but I HATED!!! how I was poorly managing it, in/outside of the game. not to mention the load times and for it to just crash? oofa, I had to put a stop to that. it eventually came to a point after years of waiting 45min-1hr for it to just crash, I was spending more time loading up than playing. my machine at the time was also shit so that didn't help at all.

the day finally came and i threw my ENTIRE downloads folder into the recycle bin and let it ALL go. i started all the way over from scratch with Waverly. i picked a theme and have been maintaining it since for Waverly. every folder is hella organized. I'm careful in what I download, I clean out recolors regularly, I compress ALL the downloads I can and its a HUGE huge huge huge ass help.

sure CC management isnt for everyone and that's totally ok - I spend a lot of time ensuring my downloads folder is organized and easy for me to maintain when I get the "itch". it goes by relatively quickly (from a few hours to a few days depending on my energy level and availability to do so) and I'm back to playing instead of waiting and hoping it doesn't randomly crash for some reason. but even if it does, it was only 5-7min so no big, try again. certainly beats waiting nearly an hour every time, I do not miss those days, oofa.

it also HUGELY helps to stick with one or two themes you REALLY like, for me its all things halloween/autumn and goth. it makes it incredibly easy on me to keep that kind of CC in my folder. i know what I like so that's what I keep around/look out for when new CC is posted! this is also why I dropped the offworld subhood - I didn't play there much in general, and I never used the CC for it outside of it so I let it go entirely reducing the weight of my downloads folder even more.

Hmm, I'd say try to make and use mostly original content I guess. For me- I make my own sims, builds, reshade presets, and cc. I customize the worlds through the game files to change how certain things look. I'll even edit the cc I download (for personal use) and make my own changes to it. I just like to customize everything. Be mindful of where you draw inspiration from too. TS4 is hella customizable. Try to make things that are authentic to you. Do what you like. Play how you like. Honestly, you can do a lot with TS4. That's why I like it.

For in-game pics of most of this stuff, just consult my sims 3 Critical Role tag. All of it is pretty self explanatory, but I wanted to explain one thing or two, and point out exactly what FLAWS are present:

ASHTON

The Crystal Hair [BETA] was one of the hardest pieces of CC I've ever messed around with.

FLAWS: The mesh sits HELLA awkward on the head, and the clipping/floating through the skull in some areas is bad on some head shapes. Also, a weird texture glitch on the skull might randomly pop up in CAS, not Live Mode, and IDKY. *sigh* This is what I get for trying something different.

The Cut Crystal as Head ACC & DA2 Persuasion Maul as ACC (and Misc Decor) all have recolorable variations with a clear & opaque texture. The Nails as Earrings are self explanatory. The Cracked Rock or Glass BODY & FACE Tatts as usual REQUIRE CmarNYC's tatt mod at MTS.

CHETNEY

I made the ATS3 Female Beanie Unisex and tweaked the textures a bit. The CR3 Chetney INSP RTA Tattoo is a regular EA tattoo.

FLAWS: For the life of me, I CANNOT fix the janky bone joints under the armpits on the Blacksmith Outfit. So...avert your eyes (or just use the regular Blacksmith Outfit with the sleeves). U_U

DORIAN

I was surprised by how well the Chest & Boot Wing ACCs came out, considering those were my own meshes (for once).

For the Dragon Valley Top I just retextured Danjaley's edit by tweaking the RGBY mask a bit. It's not great, but oh well. Neither is the Cape Accessory.

FEARNE

The Horns ACC is a mashup of X X X. The Stave ACC is a mashup of X X and I made the acorn glow with the ghost/plumbbot shader. IIRC the Horns and Ears ACCs have different sliders, one for the Hat Slider and one for Glasses sliders, but if I didn't do that...oops?

The Faun Outfit is a frankenmesh of the TSM corset dress @aprilrainsimblr converted and the TW3 Succubus outfit converted here. I added a few different RGB control variations as I was playing around with different options.

IMOGEN

I took the Shanty Top converted here and lowered the vest mesh as it sat too high on sims' waists, lightened the too-dark Multiplier, and made the sleeves sheer. The Suspenders and Skirt both REQUIRE the SN EP for the fat/fit morphs.

LAUDNA

I made @natalia-auditore's different accessory Bloody Hands as Body Tatts that REQUIRE CmarNYC's tatt mod at MTS, to reduce the amount of layered ACCs that cause texture blurring.

The Stylus Hair is an edit I did of Gramsims' Stylus hair (X), to add Laudna's signature white streak, fix the joints, and lower the polys a bit (it's still high though). (I used a hairline makeup for the baby hairs--IDER which one.) The Top is an edit from one of EA's, tweaking the waist mesh and changing the RBGY mask & overlays. I couldn't decide if I liked the Hammer or Pickaxe ACC, so I just threw in both.

Oryn

The Left Pauldron ACC is just the left side separated from the Dragon Valley top (Camkitty's mesh edit made my life easier), same with the Mitrasi Wrist Flower ACC.

My sims will look different than yours because it’s like art, we all have our own particular style. Also, you may have different sliders, lighting mods or skin details than i do. If you feel like your sims are funny looking, just keep making them. If you wanna get better at anything, you practice. They’ll get cuter and cuter. My sims used to be fugly n boring okay! Trust the process

Can i use your sims for my gameplay?

Yes! Just please don’t claim them as your own and give credit when it is due. That would be really sucky to claim them as yours, and trust me i know one of my sims when i see em lol. All i ask is that you tag me when you use them bc it would make me so happy to see other ppl use them.

as for dhm paywallers will down it and try to spread rumors it's unsafe because they're mad their shit is up on there and there's nothing they can do to get it down lol. it can take a minute to get the hang of but I def recommend it. I get like 90% of my cc from there.
