Some Good Place thoughts

1. Doug Forcett wouldn’t have gotten into the Good Place anyway. The only way to earn points is to do something good with the intention of doing something good. Doug only had one intention with his actions: get into the Good Place. Since he was only doing it for the points it would get him instead of the good it would do, he never had a chance. You can’t earn points if the only reason you’re doing good is self-preservation.

2. The Soul Squad still would’ve gotten into the Good Place, regardless of the fact that they now know about the point system. After Michael tells them about the point system, they decide to help other people get into the Good Place. Since they no longer believe that they can get in, they are doing this with purely good intentions.
