Dougal and Admiral Spire are fundamentally similar people with extremely similar personalities. they are pale men with short dark hair, a triangular hairline, and narrow eyes, as well as fairly defined, angular faces. they are extremely level-headed and even-keeled, concerned with practicality rather than mysticism or politics, humble but confident and self-assured commanders who care about their underlings [though not in a distant, unsentimental way] and treat them respectfully. they take pride in their profession but do not harbor lofty ambitions or seek out fame, and have gained their reputation in large part from fighting in a well-known war [War of the Gray Alliance/Fifth Eclipse, and 12th Black Crusade respectively]. both have also allied with, or helped out, elves, and later parted ways amiably.

How would your ocs react to horror movies? I imagine the only one who'd not really like them is Hel. Max she can do is like Corpse Bride and The Nightmare Before Christmas Ronnie and Dougal would find some a bit uncomfortable depending on the subject matter but he'd stomach old corny films lmao. Teu can handle the heavy shit and barely flinch, it takes a lot to scare them

If they like candy, what's their favorite kind? This is a bit difficult because there's a huge leap in british and american sweets lmao Ronnie would prefer imported stuff. He, and Luther (likely Luther's brothers too), think American sweets are god awful. Hel and Dougal like toffee apples! Teu probabllyyy jawbreakers or some sort of gum

What's their favorite halloween activity, if they celebrate it? Hel is decorating/giving candy Ronnie is drinking with shitty films on and having take out Dougal likes giving out candy Teu likes giving out candy (funnily enough lmao) Luther likes dress up and drinking

For Dusk, since this is the only thing bot related she could do, it's seeing the kids dress up and play around. I imagine she'd also act like...a "practice" door so to speak? Like for an activity Sun would make kids knock on the "door" for her to open and she'd give them candy lmao

#OTD in 1995 – Father Ted was broadcast for the first time.

A television programme offers to interview Father Ted Crilly. However Ted goes to extreme lengths to ensure the other members of the clergy on the island don’t interrupt his moment in the spotlight. Meanwhile Craggy Island hosts Fun Land, a fun fair to which Dougal is desperate to go. Ted takes the film crew to the fair, leading to a massive mess.

Day #13

Today's prompt was "favorite head canon".

Honestly, I have A LOT (why do you think I -try to- write fanfic...). I'll put some I really like here for today, but I can't choose, sorry.

It's canon in my head that Newt calls him "Mommy" in front of his child(s) sometimes (often), especially when they are in the case/basement (or whatever they have in their house at this point. It's an attic in NYC in my HC).

As a consequence, his (their) child (ren) call him M'Dad.

The second one is about Dougal. I don't think that Dougal's babysitting duties are coming from nothing, or just for the occamy. I'm pretty sure he takes care of Newt. He makes sure he eats and sleep. But most important, when Newt has a shutdown/meltdown, he stays close. But if his physical presence is still too much, he uses his invisibility to be here, just in case, but avoiding to be a additional stimulation. He probably foresees the situations too.

(this one is based on one of my dogs TBH, excepted the invisibility part, but he truly knows before me when I'll have a meltdown, and what distance is OK for me at any point of time)

A last one for the road (but I have pages of HC about Newt) : Newt almost never uses magic on the creatures, not matter if it puts him into danger. For the capture of the occamy, he could have sent the bug in the teapot, he could have used a tracking spell on Dougal, he could have magically removed the chains on the zouwu, or magically sent the ointment on the kelpie. He only uses it in the emergency (or if he's really pissed), and mostly on Teddy.

I believes he does that because he thinks that could be detrimental on the creatures, and probably mostly on a "psychological" point of view. Many of the creatures suffered abuse by wizards. Without using magic he doesn't trigger that. Maybe that could physically hurt them, but I don't believe it, or he wouldn't have used Accio on Teddy.

That's all for today, even if I would have loved to mention that I'm sure he will collaborate with ICW during WWII and after (and that Tina will have a very high position in it, which is my HC about RR law), and that I'm certain that he'll teach in a way or another, probably as a guest lecturer in all schools of the world (no matter their importance).

Dougal (Pollux): From the magic roundabout. Absolutely fantastic hair this dog has. Very kind and has a sweet tooth! Loves sugar cubes

Idog: This is a electronic you dog that dances with the music! When I couldn't have a dog I always wanted one of these!

Shigure Sohma: Fruits basket. Cursed by the zodiac dog this anime man has now a dog form. A writer!

Perrito: Puss in boots! Dreams to be a therapy dog and would do am absolutely fantastic job at it judging by all the help he was in the movie. Found family!!

Latte: From precure! Another energy fairy that turns into a doggie! Very friendly and loves to nap

Old Faer art dump! Spaceverse Faer art dump part 2, featuring some drawings up to 10 years old lol from 2014 or so.

A lot of these characters are in Spaceverse now, but some don't have updated portraits yet, or I still reference these when I'm drawing new ones. These may be older--sometimes even much older--drawings, but they're classics, and often times were my original concept art for many characters, so I wanted to save them here.

In order we have: Dawa (not a Faer character, but on the page with one), Jagun (Faer verse design would have pointed ears and maybe purple dyed tips to his hair), my first Eirwen drawing, my first Cael sketch, my first Verne sketch (that's pretty much a pattern throughout here so I'll stop repeating it lol), Fionntan, Tigerlily, Nela, Declan, Regina (Reggie), Sylvie, Pyper, Aliana, Fletcher, future Sylvan, Lorrie (not in Spaceverse), Pyper, Sylvan with Lorrie (will be updated in future drawings to be his sister Farha in Spaceverse), Dougal (an earth dragon shifter in Spaceverse), Jacques, Fiona (renamed Fi / Fionnula in Spaceverse where she's a wind dragon shifter), Ryuta (who I plan to adapt as a sylphite/oighear and singer in Spaceverse at some point) and Raj (who's now a sylphite in Spaceverse, instead of a human wind mage as he's depicted here.)

Aliana and Lorrie belong to Cookie, and they also created Jagun’s initial character concept, which I have since adapted and developed for this story. The rest of the characters here in these older drawings belong to me.

i just finished the movie ‘Dougal.’ needless to say. Dougal is not a movie, Dougal is a trial. i failed. something about this movie broke me. i can never forget this. until the day i die Dougal will be watching me. i will see him in the corner of my eye. far behind me in the mirror. in the window opposite my home. 3/10
