This is definitely a man cave style place to relax with friends, or just with a good cigar or pipe, and a glass of dessert wine.
Tumblr media
The dining room is cozy with upholstered chairs and a fireplace.
Tumblr media
The kitchen is fabulous. Well-thought-out, not just pick a cabinet and have them installed. They chose beautiful white, timeless Shaker style cabinets featuring cupboards, china cabinets, glass doors, and closets. The only counter is on the large island. Isn't the wood beautiful? And, the quartz top is perfectly matched.
Tumblr media
But, the focal point is the stove. They had it set into the wall to mimic an ancient cooking fireplace. Cabinets on both sides hold cooking utensils, the copper backsplash is gorgeous, and the pot filler tops it all off.

Everything about the SR 71 was exciting and new including the windows. During its career, the SR-71 Blackbird gathered intelligence in some of the world’s most hostile environments. The SR-71 was conceived to operate at extreme velocities, altitudes and temperatures: actually, it was the first aircraft constructed with titanium, as the friction caused by air molecules passing over its surface at Mach 2.6 would melt a conventional aluminum frame.
Its engineering was so cutting edge that even the tools to build the SR-71 needed to be designed from scratch.
There are so many interesting facts about the legendary Blackbird.
For instance, the glass of the canopy of the SR-71 cockpit was made of 1.25-inch thick solid quartz. Let’s talk about the windows in the SR-71 and about the severe heat the windshield of the SR-71 would experience at top speeds. Skunk Works Designers ultimately decided that using solid quartz for the windshield was the best way to prevent any blur or window distortion under these conditions,
so they ultrasonically fused the solid quartz to the aircraft’s titanium hull to make the quietest cockpit possible; the estimated temperature of the outside of the cockpit of 600 degrees F.
As reported by The SR-71 Blackbird website, the integrity of the double solid quartz camera window demanded special attention because of the optical distortion caused by the effect of great heat (600 degrees F.) on the outside of the window and a much lower temperature (150 degrees F.) on the inside could keep the cameras from taking usable photographs. Three years and $2 million later, the Corning Glass Works came up with a solution: the window was fused to its metal frame by a novel process using high frequency sound waves. isn’t that amazing? I am a mega nerd and while writing some stuff for the pulp musicals fortnight I did some VERY rough calculations for the Sagitta.
John says that it weighed 25,000 tonnes. If we want to just say it weighed 25,000 tonnes exactly, then we can convert that to 25,000,000 kilograms (I worked in kg). The average weight of a brick ranges from 1.4kg to 2.3kg. Anna says that there were 12,008,315 total bricks in the satellite.
Dividing 25,000,000 by 12,008,315 gives us an average weight for each brick around 2.08kg, which perfectly matches the range. Now, you could say that the windows were a big part of the weigh, but no!
The weight of a cubic foot of solid quartz is around 65.7kg. We don't have precise measurements for the window size, but going off of the album cover, I guessed maybe 2.8ft by 6.6ft. (This is not accurate whatsoall) Being 12 inches thick, that's just a foot, giving the volume of the window 18.48 cubic feet. Double that and then multiply that by 65.7, divide by 1000 to convert to tonnes, and you get about 2.43 tonnes of quartz. Not a lot.

Cloudclan, a mysterious and enigmatic clan, resides in a crystal cave nestled within the misty and cloudy mountains. With their thick double-coated fur, they are well-adapted to the harsh cold weather that surrounds their secluded home. Known for their unwavering resilience and stubborn nature, Cloudclan remains a mystery to other clans, as venturing down the treacherous cave system is a daunting task. Cloudclan also is the most isolated from twolegs while they do wander through their territory in small groups it is rare due to its isolated location.
At the peak of one of the smaller mountains the SkyCrystal, a magnificent quartz-like crystal matrix structure serves as their connection to Starclan, stands visible even from Hillclan territory. A small cave connects their camp to the peak making a easier albeit dark and cramped journey to its peak.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONS
Tumblr media
>INTRODUCTION.EXE
Although it’s not a big must to include a vivid description of your character, it would be ideal because if you don’t, your reader will form his/her own impression which creates a problem if later the character is described, making the reader have to adjust their thinking to suit the description which should never happen.
Little reminders of different physical attributed, habits, gestures, etc., combined with action add to the feel of the character, making them ‘living and breathing beings.’ Some writers may not describe their character and leave it up to the readers to form their own image but remember, this is your canvas, your characters! >OUTRODUCTION.EXE
As a writer, writing character descriptions is important because you are painting the canvas for your readers and no artist leaves any details out. Some ways to write strong characters is starting with physical appearance; since literature is non-visual, a picture is the first step towards building your characters development and instead of focusing on monotone words, choose the adjectives that stand out to you and really go along with the image you have in mind about your character, and think of the characters interests and hobbies; if you mention that your character likes harry potter, your readers might imagine them with some sort of accessory in their outfit that represent him.
Of course, in our life, we see many different people, with many different traits and features, so why not use them? Practicing writing character descriptions that fit the people in your life is a great way to make the description flow easily especially if there was a person who really caught your eye, and you still remember them. Writing descriptions that feature your friends and family will make it easier for you because you’ve spent so much time with them. So try to make a list of possible physical traits and character traits that you’ve observed in your life, like when you meet someone new, what’s the first thing you notice? Think of your first impressions of people and create your own person.

Why is Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink is a Top Choice for Modern Kitchens?
The kitchen sink is a key component that unites practicality and visual appeal in the always-changing world of modern kitchen designs. The steel kitchen sink has become a popular alternative among the many options offered to modern homes. There are several reasons for the popularity of steel kitchen sinks in modern kitchens, including their versatility, adaptability, and ability to match different kitchen sink designs.
Over time, kitchen sink designs have changed significantly. There are several options, ranging from contemporary composite materials to classic porcelain. But because of its streamlined design and long lifespan, the steel kitchen sink, more especially the stainless steel kitchen sink, has become incredibly popular.
Modern kitchen sinks serve both a design and a functional purpose. Many people choose stainless steel because of its resilient nature, sleek appearance, and ease of upkeep. It's a great option for people who want a modern and minimalist look because of its flexibility to mix in with different countertop materials and kitchen decor.
Benefits of Steel Kitchen Sinks
They are Durable
Steel kitchen sinks are extremely durable, which is one of the major reasons many people choose them. Because stainless steel resists rust, stains, and chipping, your kitchen sink will look brand new for many years to come.
They are Hygienic and Easy to Clean
Steel Kitchen sinks are a hygienic choice because of their non-porous surface, which prevents the growth of bacteria and germs. Its smooth surface also makes cleaning an easy task as all it takes is a quick wipe to get rid of smudges and stains.
They are Versatile in Design and Installation
Steel Kitchen sinks come in a variety of designs to fit any kitchen style and propose an easy installation process. Steel kitchen sinks are available in a range of styles and configurations, including integrated sinks that mix in with the countertop and top mount and under-mount sinks.
They are pocket-friendly
Stainless steel sinks are a great choice if you're searching for a long-lasting, pocket-friendly sink that will match your kitchen's theme and accessories without requiring a lot of touch-ups. These sinks do not need as costly maintenance as their competitors, saving you a lot.
They are environmentally friendly
Stainless steel sinks are an excellent choice for environmentally conscious kitchen sinks because they are recyclable. In addition, the sinks' long lifespan reduces the need for regular replacements, which results in significant cost savings.
Tumblr media
Stainless Steel Kitchen Sinks with Modern Kitchen Designs
Modern kitchens with their clean, minimalistic forms and slick, gleaming stainless steel surfaces go well together. It enhances the overall visual appeal when used with materials like concrete, granite, and quartz.
A steel kitchen sink blends in perfectly with any style kitchen, be it industrial, modern, or transitional. Its muted colour and smooth finish serve as a blank canvas, letting other design components stand out without detracting from the overall coherent style.
Practicality is just as important in modern kitchen designs as style. Large pots and pans may fit in the deep basins of steel kitchen sinks, which can come with single or double-bowl versions to meet a variety of demands. Because of their durability, they are perfect for crowded kitchens where frequent usage is expected.
Choosing the Right Steel Kitchen Sink
Consider the Gauge
Choose a steel kitchen sink based on its gauge (thickness). Sinks range from 22 to 15 gauge, with lower numbers indicating thicker metal. High-quality home sinks are 18-16 gauge, while professional sinks are 15-16 gauge. Thicker sinks are more durable, resist dents, and reduce noise for better performance.
Size and Configuration
Assess your needs and space. A compact sink and countertop space in small kitchens, while a double-bowl sink offers more functionality in larger kitchens. The top kitchen sink sizes in inches that completely match the average Indian kitchen are 16x14x6, 18x16x10, 20x17x9, and 24x18x10. These sizes are popular because they are practical and easy to fit into typical kitchen designs.
Finish
An additional consideration for your stainless steel sink is its finish. Although the finish doesn't always indicate quality, certain stainless steel finishes are better at hiding flaws and blemishes than others.
Insulation
Stainless steel sinks can sound "tinny" if not insulated. Even top sinks can be noisy. Many high-quality sinks have insulation or padding, but it's rare in low-quality ones.
The steel kitchen sink's combination of toughness, hygienic qualities, adaptability, and visual appeal keeps it a popular option for modern kitchens. It is a classic and useful choice for contemporary homes due to its ability to blend in effortlessly with a variety of kitchen sink styles and themes. When remodelling or designing a new kitchen, consider the advantages of a steel kitchen sink to improve the kitchen's appearance and functionality. Once Upon a December, Part Two: Things My Heart Used to Know 🔥[Snow Quartz]
In which Gem finishes the sun room and has to show Snow... [takes place: it is all a memory]
@lady-snow-flower
[cw -- none]
part one: across my memory
if you want the full experience of this thread, please read this one first: Whistle While You Work: Here Comes the Sun...(you absolutely do not have to...but it adds to the experience i promise.)
🔥🔥🔥.
GEM: Sun was streaming in through the old windows. The glass was thick and slightly warped, which always made the sunlight seem so much richer. Like the gold was doubled as it passed through the panes. Wading through it felt like wading through a golden stream. He took his time as he went. Gem wasn’t sure what he was looking for, but he had this feeling that he’d know when he found it.
Dust motes danced merrily through the air and there was the smell of fresh varnish and flowers that followed him as he meandered through empty rooms.
There was Snow. Checking out a customer.
She hadn’t noticed him yet.
Gem watched her as she smiled and laughed. The customer was a ghost, a shadow, a shapeless, unimportant form, but Snow gave them all her attention anyway. He couldn’t hear what she was saying, just watched her mouth moving like a pantomime. Like he was watching from behind a pane of glass.
Eventually, she turned. She saw him. And she smiled.
“C’mon,” he said, smiling back at her. He stepped forward and held out a hand without thinking about it. “I got something to show you.”

Types Of Kitchen Granite Worktops
The safety and durability of your kitchen countertop depends not only on the material you choose but also on the cut you give to it!
Eased
One of the most modern approaches to granite kitchen countertops, these edges are rounded, simple and slightly larger on the edges compared to the top of the counter structure. It is not only simple to make what also quite easy to mount, saving on both time and cost.
Mitered
Going for a very crisp and minimalist look, this type of an edge is seamless, shirt and fitted on the top in a visually stunning way. Mitered edges are easy to create on thick stone Cardiff like granite and marble. This is one of the most common interior choices seen in luxury kitchens.
Tumblr media
Bevel
These edges, as suggested by the name itself, are angled towards the end giving a very accented and unique look to the top of the counter. There can be further subdivisions of this age using the common double bevel, top bevel etc.
Cove
Those who love experiment designs are going to go bonkers on this one! As opposite to a bevel, the edge of a Cove makes an inward curve instead of an outward one. Further, because of the gentleness of this edge there are no sharp ends. It is very family friendly and provides a modern, homely look to the kitchen.
Full Bullnose
This design is also family friendly simply because it does not have any short corners. Two of its edges are rounded outwards while the other two are cut straight down. This is asymmetrical but a simple profile and adds an everyday look to the kitchen.
Ogee Bullnose
The ogee Bullnose countertop edge combines an elegant S-curve, characteristic of the Ogee, with some asymmetrical rounded edges. This design type is known for blending sophistication and smoothness. It's classy yet practical—perfect for adding a touch of luxury to your kitchen or bathroom!
Waterfall
Another experimental and unique way of doing countertop edges is the waterfall edge. In this method the sides of the stone are cut in such a way that it extends down seamlessly into the base. If you want to go for this look, make sure you purchase a stone top that is easily malleable - just like quartz.
