Inspired by the beautiful landscapes of the American west, particularly the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains. Cloudclan lives in the mountains. Hillclan lives on the high prairie. Groveclan lives in the ponderosa forests and buttes.

The Name generator is complete and working (for the most part I am not good with coding so there is a small chance that you will get a duplicate prefix and suffix but just regenerate the name generator since it should be weighted to give you good canon names with some added prefixes to make it have more American animals and plants). Feel free to use this generator in your own projects!!!

Story
EVERY CLAN FOUNDING LEADER IS NOW DEAD : (
This means I’ll be wrapping up everybody’s origin stories here pretty soon. Groveclan lore has been taking a while just because it’s a bit more of a complex subject and themes and so I want to do it as much justice as possible. So hold on tight for that!!!
New addition to the lore is Starwatcher!!! A cat outside of time and space is charged with the telling and recording the history of all the clans. While she can indirectly cause trouble she is most often trying to make sure her favorite characters survive…she is basically an omnipresent self-insert. She will mostly be used as a vessel to communicate important information to our universe and not much else lol.
Here’s some concept art she mostly stays in star form because her abilities to be everywhere at once make her the ultimate ADHD girlie and maintaining a complex animal form is hard.
Content
Also there is a warrior cats name generator in the works that contains biome specific animals and plants! It’s currently in troubleshooting because I need to weigh the more awkward parts so they come up less than the more common prefixes and suffixes.
With that being said I know the usual format for these types of blogs are webcomics…and unfortunately I don’t have the energy nor motivation to create one. I think that I will just be continuing creating mini blurbs about what’s going on in the clans with the occasional illustration. I think that I will compile it into an updating a digital zine like thing for each clan…something akin to the Ultimate Guide Books that I’ll throw on my ko-fi and Gumroad shops for an optional donation. I know that this seems a bit random but I kind of want to make something that if I ever do decide to change to a more creative career I can put it in my portfolio showing that I have experience in multiple areas.

Hillclan’s Skystone
This large crystal structure, located at the top of a hill on the western edge of Hillclan territory, allows the cats of Hillclan to speak with Starclan. Twolegs have erected a small fence around the crystal, as it is an important natural landmark for them as well. The nearby ranch maintains this historic site. A small trail leads back to the Thunderpath (Road) but Twoleg access to the site is restricted to daytime viewing only and officially “closes” at sunset. The cats only visit the Skystone at midnight, thus avoiding any contact with Twolegs.

Baby You’re A Star
…
You shine bright and you show it
Trying to figure out my style for the cat portraits and I think I’m getting a handle on it.
I really like the idea of Snowypatch knowing that Cloudstar was going to be leader and the love of their life from the moment they saw each other and Starclan showing their approval by making it look like she is just constantly bathed in bright light/halo shaped like a star, always glowing in Snowypatch’s eyes. I’ve really wanted to draw that image as soon as I got the story for Cloudclan pinned down.

Cloudclan Death Rituals and Traditions
When a clan member passes away, they are immediately taken to Spiritmeadow by their kin, mates, and at least one healer/cat close to Starclan (can be leader or mediator) the journey, their mate or kin will choose a stone to mark the grave of their loved one. This is done in complete silence until they reach Spirit Meadow. Once they arrive the mourners hum or sing in harmony with those closest (usually mates or parents) leading the song. There are no particular melodies or words that are sung in this fashion as this tradition stems from the melody that Cloudstar heard that lead her to Cloudclan territory to found Cloudclan. The purpose of this odd tradition is to create an atmosphere of belonging and empathy for all who are mourning. They will keep this harmony going until the burial is finished.
If the body is in good condition, it will be posed in a curled-up position to make it appear as though they are peacefully sleeping. In case of a missing or unmovable body, a crystal will be placed in the grave instead. Any personal accessories are buried with them as well as strengthening herbs to prepare them for their journey to Starclan, which are placed by the healer. The mourning cats take turns filling up the grave. Any grass that is moved from the gravesite is used in Mourningcircles for those who wish to participate in that tradition.
Mourningcircles involve long grass from the ground, dug up from a loved one's grave, which is then braided into a necklace or collar-like ring. This is worn for at least a moon (a month) after the loved one's death. Usually, the cats will wear them until they break on their own. This ritual symbolizes the cycle of grief processing and how participating in normal clan life and activities can help ease the process.
SpiritFlower Day is celebrated when the Spiritmeadow is in full bloom, usually in late spring. Cats who are able to travel gather in the Spiritmeadow to tell stories and celebrate the lives that have been lost in the past moon cycles. Those who cannot travel still participate by having the cats bring back flowers from the meadow. These flowers are usually added to any mourning circle to honor the presence of their grief. Some cats may also wear the flowers in their fur for a short time to commemorate the occasion.

Cloudclan territory consists of six mountain peaks and a glacier. Cloudclan lives in a crystal cave on a tall mountain just above the tree line on the western edge of the territory. The valleys between them are connected by tunnels that the Twolegs had once built but long abandoned. Some cats believe that they were trying to obtain the strange crystals that are common across the region. Twolegs are strange creatures, so whether this is true or not is yet to be determined. What Cloudclan does know is that they are rarely seen in Cloudclan territory. During Greenleaf and early Leaffall, Twolegs come to spend time in the tiny houses on the territory. They often travel on the small thunder path in their monsters to the top of a steep hill to look at IcePeak and Skycrystal. But the Twolegs disappear during late Leaffall through most of Newleaf. Some cats believe that this is because the monsters struggle on snowy and icy surfaces. The near-constant cloud cover during cold moons may also play a role in the absence of twolegs.
(I will be updating these posts as I draw the landmarks)
Important Landmarks
Twoleg Place and Twoleg Gathering place- A group of small cabins where Twolegs can camp. There's a road connecting the cabins to a lookout point where Twolegs can marvel at both the Skycrystal and IcePeak.
Skycrystal-.This unusually large crystal structure sits atop a mountain on the eastern edge of Cloudclan's territory. Skycrystal is a sacred place where Cloudclan connects with Starclan. Leaders receive their nine lives here, and Medicine Cats visit each moon to speak to Starclan. When traveling to Skycrystal, they use a cave system inside the mountain that leads up to the top.
Spiritmeadow- Cloudclan's burial ground, is located in a large valley meadow that blooms with a rainbow of flowers every Newleaf. This valley is directly below Skycrystal Mountain.
Pine Forest- A dense alpine forest that provides a safer place to hunt during the colder moons. Deer, elk, and the occasional moose are commonly seen here.
The Twisted tree- A windswept juniper tree that hides the entrance to the cave system that Cloudclan uses to circumvent the steep slopes of Skycrystal Mountain. It's located at the edge of Spiritmeadow.
IcePeak - a large melting glacier that's the source of a small lake that's near their camp. The water runs down to the lake in a spectacular waterfall that can be seen from the Twoleg Gathering Place.
ColdPool - An abnormally clear lake that's fed by the melting of IcePeak. It's possible to swim and hunt fish in ColdPool. Though it isn't recommended to newcomers to the clan. Any cat without Cloudclan's signature double coated fur can easily catch hypothermia in the frigid waters.

So some things have changed in Cloudclan territory since inception here are the highlights
Added a Human Campsite, Road and Scenic Lookout spot but these areas will only have humans during the warm months due to weather conditions
The cave system is now just tunnels/mines that humans used to mine the crystal that is common in the region and only a few mountains have them.
Added a small lake and Pine Forest for a variety of different locations
I will have more detailed descriptions later!!!
It’s Map Time!!! We have the Black and White Version that is more canon Warriors map styled and the colored one!!!

I use YouTube music but if I get enough requests for other platforms I can create them there.
Warriors and Starwalkin' are basically theme songs for the whole project so they will be in all the playlists.
(CW this playlist contains songs with themes of depression and suicidal thoughts, the worst offenders are Sing to Me, Achilles come down, and Cowboy Tears please listen at your own risk)

Hillclan’s Origin Story (Gen 1)
Raised by his father in a group of barn cats, Hillstar was originally named Hill. His father, Canyon, was the leader of the group. However, his father had a negative influence on him, constantly telling him that he should only help himself and not worry about others. He believed that cats who didn't rule with an iron fist were weak. Young Hillstar knew this philosophy was wrong, but he could never stand up to the larger and more experienced cat. He couldn't see how he could win or if the others would stand with him.
The owner of the ranch that cared for the cats died, and the barn cats lost their resources one by one as the ranch fell into disrepair. Canyon refused to move to a new home with more resources, even after multiple cats froze and starved to death during a winter storm. The cats became trapped in the barn due to the large drifts. Around this time, Starclan began calling to Hill in his dreams, saying that he was destined to found Hillclan. But without the support of the other cats in the group, he felt there was very little he could do.
His reason to stand up to Canyon came in the form of Larch, a kit given to him by Canyon to train. Larch knew that if Hill stood up to Canyon, others would follow him and told him so. This finally gave Hill the courage to listen to the call of Starclan. They showed him the way to the Skystone, where he received his nine lives. Hillstar walked back to the abandoned ranch, his warrior ancestors following him, where he confronted Canyon.
While the other cats couldn't see the glowing cats that stood behind Hillstar, Canyon could, and he was terrified. His terror caused him to fall from the hay loft, resulting in a deadly injury. Canyon's last words to his son were cold and haunted Hillstar for the rest of his lives. "You will fail, your kindness will be the death of you Hill... and all of you who will follow him..."
Even as Hillclan grew and prospered, those words hung over Hillstar's head. He took the bad things that happened in his life, like the death of his first mate and their children, as confirmation of failure. While he didn't share these feelings with the rest of the clan, Larchfeather provided the support Hillstar desperately needed in his darkest moments.
Hillstar struggled during the last few moons of his life. He sought comfort and companionship with multiple clanmates, but these relationships all failed. His next mate died in a rogue attack, and his son, Robinberry, was hit by a monster, leaving his leg permanently twisted. Robinberry also suffered a major loss when twolegs abducted his first mate.
Despite all these misfortunes, Robinberry remained strong and confident. Hillstar, on the other hand, was stuck in his grief. As he felt his bones begin to weaken one night, he left the camp to look up at Silverpelt. It was then, in his last moments, that he came to peace with his lives. He saw all the cats he had helped with his kindness and finally realized that his father was wrong. Hillstar hadn't failed— he had achieved so much more in his life than what his father had expected of him. Hillstar had left a legacy of caring and kind clan. With Larchfeather, who became a second child to Hillstar as his deputy and successor and his son Robinberry, who had remained kind despite all the hardships.
With that realization, he felt he could finally let go and die peacefully. Hillstar visited Larchfeather that night in their dreams and thanked them for giving him a reason to fight for the well-being of all cats. He assured them that he wouldn't choose anyone else to carry on that fight.

As I approach 10 years in game time I have decided that I will split up the time by generations. This way I can choose to end the project at a good stopping point or continue it into the next generation of cats.
So there will be 120-121 moons in a generation (I was originally going to go until all the founding leaders but Hillstar decided to die on his own timeline lol jk he deserves the rest after the backstory he’s getting 😉).
