Loki: Man of Iron, I rebuke thee! I rebuke thee!
Tony: Rebuke? Really?
Loki: You hath all invoked my fury! You will pay recompense for your transgressions!
Tony: What, you got like a word-a-day calendar or something?

Tony: FIGHT ME, YOU NERD ASS SLUT!
Stephen : At least try to sound slightly more sophisticated when you threaten someone.
Tony: Oh, I'm sorry. I should ask; dost thou want to engage in a duel, my good bitch?
Stephen : Somehow that's worse.

it's been 11 years and i don't think many (if any) mcu projects are nearly as quotable as the avengers
like they've been trying for a decade but you just can't replicate that

In a part of Gotham, there stands the glorious Wayne Manor. So marvelous, so fantastic, so peaceful-
Isekai Reader: AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! GET YO DEMON SPAWN BITCH!
Bruce, drinking coffee while reading the newspaper: He doesn't mean any harm
Isekai Reader: YES HE DO! GET YO FUCKIN CHILD *currently clinging onto the chandelier*
Damian: Get down you foul wretched being, I'll show you what it means to take away the precious servant of BaBa
Isekai Reader: Its not my fault Alfred is fond of me!
Damian: Why you insolent!
Isekai Reader: AAAAAAHHHHHH!
....
Isekai Reader: Any of you notice the feral cat speaks like a victorian child?
Dick, looks at Damian who is talking with his Supe: Well now that you mention it
Jason: He does speak like one
Duke: why'd you call him a feral-*realizes* nevermind he truly acts like one
Later
Alfred: I take as you all enjoy it
Isekai Reader: Why yes, thank you Alfred I no longer feel famished
Jason: As do I, everything you cook taste exquisite
(Been at it for a while)
Damian, annoyed at the two: Stop this nonsense!
Dick to Duke: Why do I get the feeling those two are doing it on purpose
Cassandra: they are
Isekai! Reader/you: *mocking* doth mother know you weareth her drapes.
Damian: what are you on about buffoon?
Isekai! Reader/you: Shakespeare in the park? Anyways has talking like a kid your age ever crossed your mind or are you above that too?
Damian: *unsheathed sword*
Isekai! Reader/you: you know what I think I hear Alfred call for me. IM COMING ALFRED! *runs away*
Isekai! Reader/you: is the place haunted?
Duke: haunted? No I don’t think so.
Dick: I think we’d all would’ve known if that were the case…
Jason: why? What makes you think that?
Isekai reader/ you: I thought I saw something in my room, it was looking right at me. It was short, almost like a little kid- *realises* it was Damian wasn’t it?
Jason: yes
Dick: yes
Duke: unfortunately yes.
Damian: *appearing out of nowhere* it was me, took you long enough to figure it out and here I thought adults your age should have a fully developed brain by now.
Isekai! Reader/ you: *lunges for the fucking kid* COME HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!
Dick, Jason and Duke: *holding isekai! Reader/ you back before things get ugly*
Damian: *shrugs* father and Alfred should’ve left you out on the street where you belonged.
Isekai! Reader/ you: -*smug* but they didn’t!
Bruce: play nice with Damian
Isekai! Reader/ you: I want you to listen to yourself as you say that again. There’s no way in fucking hell am I playing nice with that gremlin.
Bruce: *to you and Damian* try not to kill each other while I’m gone.
You: oh please we’re not children *side eyes Damian* at least not some of us.
Damian: *mutters out the side of his mouth* funny coming from you.
*Bruce leaves*
You: eat shit and die
Damian: yes fuck you.

The fandom under appreciation of how perfect Kenneth Brannagh (Shakespeare adapting legend) was for directing Thor and how they should have brought him back for Ragnarok drives me insane.
it's my villian origin story.
I'm normally a nice person who enjoys of remaining polite, but i'm going to break that for an instant and say that those who didn't appreciated the Shakespeare tone were, mostly, morons. The " Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?" in the first Avengers film shouldn't have branched into a loud critic by people who didn't care that much about Thor anyways.
An adaptation of the Ragnarok had all the potential to be the culmination of that shakespearian tragedy established by the first film. It should have been the natural evolution of the franchise if they were going to approach that particular event that is, in essence, very fucking tragic.
You can do comedy with the end of the world? Sure, Good Omens did it, but you have to be a bit more clever ( and respectfull) with the humor than whatever Waititi did. Specially if you are fucking with the beliefs of a pagan culture you don't really understand.
Kenneth Brannagh understood the asigment with the tone of the first movie, he should have directed that film and i'm done arguing with those who can't understand it.

Whenever I'm using AI to do research, I remember that when I asked AI when Percy quoted Shakespeare, it said sea of monsters: "Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?" a.k.a. Robert Downey as Iron Man. I said that's not him, and it said you're right, and then when I asked again, it said the same thing...
And then Martin Luther King "I find a way to block it, I go La la, la la la la la na na na na na"
Also it says Percy doesn't quote Shakespeare in the Chalice of the Gods (or spark notes whatever you wanna say)

Hi! How are you? (zacksfairest.tumblr.com/post/748215922988302336) Your current "queue tag" appears to be "hey brat be sure to queue this" and used to be "Doth mother know you queueth her posts." Your first use of "Doth mother know you queueth her posts" was May 10, 2012 and your last use was December 7 2023. Your first use of "hey brat be sure to queue this" was November 24 2023. Why?
"Doth mother know you queueth her posts" was a queue pun reference to a line from the first Avengers movie, said by Iron Man:
"Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?"
I thought it to be very clever when I first made the tag...oh dear. 12 years ago, by your account. And it probably is! But I've long since outgrown my love for that movie, and I felt that 12 years was a good amount of time to set up a new tag~
"hey brat be sure to queue this" is yet another queue pun reference, but to a line said by Ryomen Sukuna from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen.
I, unfortunately, cannot find a good clip, either in Japanese or English, but the line is "Hey, brat, be sure to savor this."
TL;DR, I changed it because I felt that the original tag had been in place long enough. And I love Sukuna. So there you go.

Second Love Note... 🥰
I'd like to give @smolvenger a huuuge bear hug. She's truly amazing. I stumbled over her blog not so long ago and she's an absolute blessing. I love that she writes for the 'not so common' Hiddles characters, like Prince Hal and James Nicholson. But her other works are truly amazing as well! And above that, she's just so nice and such a happy person. And I love to thirst with her, hehe! 🥰
Tumblr media
fcking hard SAME @holdmytesseract !!! @smolvenger is an absolute ray of light, and a brilliant writer to boot👑 The fact that her bioline is '“Doth Your mother Know You Weareth Her Drapes?” - when I saw that, I was immediately like...I have to message this person 😂😂 Thank you so much for sending this Love Note, I squealed when I saw it because she deserves all the smiles. Always so kind and supportive and funny as hell. We are so lucky to have you @smolvenger - a blessing indeed!

Zawe's dress at the BIFA: Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?
But if you scroll through all of that nights red carpet looks she did quite good still. I think she really looks lovely, why can't she dress herself or why can't her stylist?
That whole event looked like a horrible costume party so yeah, hers was typically her- poofy, ruffles, bows, sequins, cape, gloves and bad shoe- it wasn’t has bad as some of the tragic “fashion” choices.
