An abridged backstory: Luciana was the only daughter of extremely controlling parents. She was one of the few children in the Encanto who didn’t go to the village school (her parents opting to teach her the family trade of hat making instead). She never had any friends growing up and was raised to be the perfect submissive daughter and eventual wife of a more successful man in town. As soon as she was old enough, she was arranged to be married to Domingo Bover (the town butcher). She dealt with fertility issues and wasn’t able to carry a baby to term till she had her daughter Vanesa. Not too long after the events of the movie, a man from the city named Valente Del Río came to the Encanto. Through her husband she becomes friends with Valente and realizes the way Domingo treats her and Vanesa isn’t ok and stands up to him and helps get him kicked out of the Encanto. After being granted a rare divorce, she begins a relationship with Valente.

Hey, aside from your blog, do you know any other good Encanto blogs to follow?

Tbh I think the community is a little more active on instagram, but I have been on semi-hiatus forever.

@dororoxpenana is still active and still producing adorable art. She also has a fanfic as well!

@encantoisawesome is a delight who appears to have discontinued her blog recently

@overly-dramatic-artist is currently in her FNAF fixation, but she has beautiful Bruno and OC art.

@peanutcrow had some of the nicest high quality gifs, but they hadn’t posted in a while.

@meepxii makes beautiful Bruno x oc art

@thecrazyashley-blog has a still running huge fanfic of her Bruno x Oc story

@luciernagadelencanto is not very active, but her Nina is a great character who is unique and awkward and pursued Bruno first

❤️ Week Two (October 8-14) : Relationships. Let’s take a deep dive into the interpersonal relationships of your OC! Family, friends, lovers…enemies? For this week, share any works that give us a look into who your OC is connected to; it can be a family tree, drawings of them with friends, their wedding; as long as there is some form of connection, you’re golden!

🌟 Week Three (October 15-21) : Extras and Add-Ons. Have an AU? Or two? Or ten? All you full of bits of information and side stories? Share it all! This week is for you to share anything and everything you want. Any sort of obscure alternate timeline, a detailed overview of their sense of fashion, pieces of trivia like their favorite food or weather, what their handwriting looks like, comics you’ve been wanting to share. Anything and everything is game!

🫂 Week Four and a Half (October 22-31) : Share the Love. Spread around the appreciation for your fellow artists and writers! Send head-canons or thoughts about someone else’s OC, or maybe some artwork or a one-shot! Or even express your delight for another person’s creativity. We highly encourage you to engage with people you may not be super familiar with.

You are more than welcome to use older material for this event, especially for the first three weeks, but we just ask that you make a new post with this blog tagged so we know to reblog it! New creations are greatly encouraged, but we understand that making art and writing is time consuming 💖 You can also make multiple posts for each week if you have a lot to share, don’t feel pressured to cram everything into one post!

The fist image is a commission made by the very talented @dororoxpenana.

I have already set up a new drawing with another character that I love and that is part of the LOTR world, but I have put everything in the works for a small silly project. This Saturday my university is organizing a meeting for the tenth anniversary of graduates. Since there will also be the launch of the cap, I have often seen wonderful Disney-themed customizations online and I thought I could make one too, obviously with Bruno. Since this image was perfect, I only added a themed dress to my OC and organized the rest of the layout on a test card.

I am very satisfied with the final result. Now I just have to cut it all out and arrange it on my cap. I can't wait to celebrate this important anniversary with my beloved.

Congratulations on 1k @dororoxpenana, as if you wouldn't have uploaded this challenge back in January.

This one came way later than planned and not even the piece I originally started.

Like, not even the second.

I got so fed up with not being able to make a normal picture of the piece I made in my sketchbook that I decided to make it digitally. 😅

With this post, I should come back from my hiatus, and no, I barely did anything for my "secret project".

I do, however, have some posts scheduled already for next Monday.

I have a bit of trouble with the identity of my art, so I'm not sure either what I'll come back with in the long term.
