'Calling all Whovians - this month marks the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who.
The series has seen 14 different time lords travel across time and space, encountering various fictional monsters and saving the world one Tardis trip at a time.
Much of the series was filmed in Wales, with famous places spotted in various guises by eagle-eyed viewers...
National Museum of Wales
The National Museum of Wales has been a stand-in for various art galleries and venues featured in Doctor Who, including the Musée D'Orsay in Paris and the International Gallery.
It featured in the show's 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor, which was shot in 3D and took five weeks to film.
St Fagans National Museum of History
The museum transports visitors back in time to various periods of Wales' history, so it made the perfect location for wartime episodes of Doctor Who.
It was the backdrop to David Tennant's adventure back to the eve of World War Two which aired in late 2006...
Southerndown beach
Southerndown Beach near Bridgend has featured in several episodes, but every Doctor Who fan will remember it for one of the series' most heartbreaking scenes.
In Doomsday, David Tennant's Doctor Who said a final farewell to Rose, played by Billie Piper...'

8/26/23: r/SketchDaily theme, "Movie Week: Free Draw Finale." Well, I don't watch many movies, so couldn't think of any to draw, so decided to go off theme and draw one of my characters like I usually do for Free Draw Friday. (I feel guilty to skip a week as I plan to eventually draw them all.)
This week's character from my anthro WWII storyline is Noah Kirchheimer. He's not a major character, though does play a few important roles in the background, working for the resistance. He kind of has an attitude problem, though. There'll be more about him later in my art Tumblr and Toyhou.se.
Regarding his design, he should look a bit angrier rather than perplexed.
TUMBLR EDIT: There's quite a bit about Noah's role in the story in his cousin Johanna Wolfstein's entry. So I recommend looking at that. I don't really know his background yet except that something occurred to make him quite angry, bitter, and distrustful, as well as so overly protective of the much softer-hearted Johanna that Otto Himmel mistakes the two for husband and wife. There's nothing inappropriate between them, just that in the absence of Johanna's brother Jakob, Noah takes on a protective brother role and tries (a bit too hard at times) to keep her safe.
Noah and Jakob Wolfstein can easily be compared to Josef Diamant and Tobias Schäfer on the canine side of the story. While Wolfstein and Schäfer remain kind and moderate despite their awful experiences (both of them were incarcerated in labor camps, with Wolfstein being experimented on and tortured in Project Doomsday, while Schäfer was literally purchased for the price of a tapestry before he could be executed), and still try to believe in the goodness inherent in most people, Diamant and Noah go in the other direction, becoming angrier, more distrusting, and more militant. Although Diamant attempts to minimize civilian casualties as the leader of a resistance movement that often engages in bombings and attempted assassinations (the SS declares them a terrorist group), there are times when innocent people get killed anyway, and Diamant himself often engages in morally murky behavior including torture. He, too, was imprisoned in a camp, where he was deliberately targeted by the commandant, Ernst Dannecker, who subjected him to frequent physical and psychological torture (there's an instance of a sort of sexual abuse as well, though Dannecker uses a proxy for this) which left him badly traumatized and partly crippled in one hand; ironically, Diamant ends up taking on so many of Dannecker's personality characteristics, including his unnerving smile and his fondness for Russian roulette as an intimidation tactic, that Schäfer (who'd been in the same camp, yet at a different time) describes him as having "sold half his soul to the Devil," the Devil being Dannecker's nickname (der Teufel). In effect, Schäfer is saying that Diamant has partly become his own enemy and tormentor, Dannecker. And in some ways it rings true, the only real difference in Dannecker's and Diamant's actions at times is that they're on opposite sides. (Both Dannecker, if he were still alive (Diamant murdered him), and Diamant would vehemently deny this, which kind of proves Schäfer's point.)
Which brings us to Noah. Noah's attitude is described quite well in Johanna's entry; even well after the war, he's openly hostile toward Himmel, who had actually worked to undermine his fellow Nazis' efforts in wartime--largely with Noah's assistance. It doesn't matter to Noah (not until very late, at least)--like Diamant, he can use somebody to achieve a goal, yet then they become expendable, especially if they're allied with the enemy. Considering the circumstances, such a mindset makes sense; even Himmel acts in such a manner when he confronts Corporal Anna Julian. What is somewhat a mystery still is WHY Noah has such a militant attitude. He's the only one of these four, as it happens, who DOESN'T spend time in a camp, or end up nearly killed. Although he does have to go into hiding with Johanna, his life is relatively safe and much easier in comparison, as he has a wide network of resistance allies to help and protect them. So what's the basis of Noah's occasionally over-the-top rage?
Like I said, given the timeline of the story, it's not unreasonable for Noah to be this way just because he sees what's happening to others. His behavior strikes me as a little TOO aggressive at times, though. There's almost a feeling that he's overcompensating. And in fact, I feel this is what he's doing: He knows he's relatively safe and well off, he has people to help him, he has a good number of resources that many of his fellow Jews lack. He's working from a position of privilege, and I think it wears on him. He likely has not only a sense of guilt at being in such a position when so few other people are, but also more than a trace of spite that he can't approach this battle from the same angle of struggle that many of his peers can. Noah's never been a soldier, he's never fought in a war. He's never been in a ghetto and he's never been in a camp. No Nazi has ever experimented on him, tortured him, forced him into slave labor, played mind games on him or relegated him to death or traded him for a wall hanging. Aside from Himmel, he's never even directly faced a Nazi down--and Himmel was Noah's captive, not the other way around. Noah's entire existence, even during the war, has been pretty safe and cushy, and I think he resents that. He likely feels like a bit of a fraud and wishes he had a more appropriate background to be fighting from.
Result, he tends to overdo things. He acts like more of a tough guy than he actually is (Himmel nearly calls his bluff, and Noah ends up regretting it when he's thus forced to try to prove himself by following through on his threats--Himmel's son Kolten flies into a rage and turns Noah into a ragdoll until Himmel convinces him to stop), antagonizes both friends and foes far more than he should (even Wolfstein gets fed up with him more than once), and basically infantilizes Johanna by insisting she's too weak and gullible to effectively look out for herself or make her own decisions. Late in the story he nearly ostracizes himself from the rest of his family due to making every disagreement into the hill he's going to die on.
Oddly, it's Himmel who talks him down from this, or rather, Himmel's letters, written to his deceased wife since the birth of their son. Noah finally gets a glimpse of the human behind the enemy's face, and learns his reasons for making the choices he did. (Himmel never believed in the Nazi cause, joining the party only in the hopes it would protect Kolten.) Himmel may be a very rare exception to the rule, but that's the point. An exception exists yet Noah had been willing to pretend he doesn't, at the risk of losing his own family. His entire worldview doesn't change--he still rightly distrusts and despises others like Himmel--but there's a very slight shift. He realizes he can't just take at face value that everyone in a group is exactly the same...that sort of mindset is what got everyone here.
(PLEASE NOTE, I'm talking about fiction here, where I know all the characters' true motives because I created them. This doesn't apply nearly so cleanly to real life, where if somebody is wearing a swastika, you can likely correctly judge their mentality at a glance; I'm by no means saying give Nazis a chance. I know I wouldn't.)
Anyway, without taking a good deal of time to brainstorm Noah's past, and maybe not get anywhere yet (these guys reveal stuff on their own schedule), this is what I've got for him. I suspect his past was quite normal and tame, and that's ironically what helped make him so tense and hostile in the story; he feels he has to go out of his way to prove himself to everyone else who didn't have it so easy, and always worries that he's not good enough. Unlike Wolfstein, Schäfer, or Diamant, who each had concrete, external enemies, he put the chip on his own shoulder.

In the Embodiment's main universe their iconography is very important. Rabbits are often associated with panic, so are used during wartime propaganda, Halloween, horror movies ect. Spiders are of course also important symbols of fear, since. Fear itself. A closed fist facing up with a spiral is used for violent protests while an open hand pointing down with a spiral is for humanitarian efforts or peaceful protests (Dominance and Submission). A moon is usually used by big businesses in their logos, while suns are used in revolts and uprisings. A white silhouette of a twelve armed figure is a call to peace, a black one a statement against giving into propaganda and brain washing, or as a doomsday omen.(usually used in political cartoons for corrupt leaders, as Not is giving into urges so like obviously someone wanting to put down people would use them to encourage this) Globes are used for environmentalists and hiking groups, grapes are for "hippies" and any type of pleasure product, and of course paintbrushes are for art, beakers for science and a music note for music (specifically a minim). It's just fun to think about this kind of stuff.
OOOOO THAT IS SO COOL!!!

What shall we do if we come across a situation when we might have nothing to eat? How can we stay hungry, even if it is for a day or two? What about the family and kids? This may happen to just about anybody in the face of natural calamities like an earthquake, a pandemic, drought, or any other unforeseen scenario. Do we have a solution for this? We, the present generation, will be highly surprised to know that our forefathers indeed visualized such situations and prepared foods that were made of all-natural ingredients and could be preserved for a long time. Our ancestors were not new to such extreme situations, and they knew recipes that helped them overcome difficult times. They did not use any preservation methods. How did they prepare such recipes? That’s quite the mystery! ‘The Lost Superfoods’ by Art Rude? is a book that is said to have numerous such recipes that you can store and use in any eventuality. What is The Lost Superfoods and how it is helpful? The book ‘The Lost Superfoods’ comes to you with more than 126 survival recipes and techniques to preserve the food that you prepare. It tells you about various economical ways to store food and thus reduce the cost of running a refrigerator. The instructions in the book are said to be very easy to follow and try even if you do not have any cooking or food preservation knowledge. The book provides you with the exact dietary values suitable for all types of foods. While some are commonly known to all, some are lesser-known or forgotten ones, but make for very interesting reading. Each recipe in the book comes to you with the details of ingredients and the process of cooking for all to follow easily. The book talks about foods that date back to various points in time for which they were used. US Doomsday Ration – The recipes that are given in this part are connected to the Cold War and were used to feed the USA during wartime. You can prepare the same at very affordable prices, within a short time, and have them last for a long time too. Leningrad Superfood in WW2 – The food items that were prepared and preserved during this period helped the Europeans dying of famine. You can make these recipes to last for a long time without any need for refrigeration. Healthy Fats – These recipes helped the Swedish farmers to survive when the avalanche hit and threatened their very existence. The Great Depression Superfood, 1800s Long-Lasting Bread, Civil War Food Miracle, Cheese preservation, Pocket Soup, and Black Plague Superfood are some of the other periods to which the recipes date back and are nutritious and preservable. By following the instructions given in the book, you will understand how to prevent food from going bad even in a power outage situation. You will get the book with pictures and detailed instructions about the foods. The recipes actually date back to times when there were no refrigerators or electricity to preserve food. It is also not time-consuming to prepare the recipes listed in the book. The author claims that the recipes are all cost-effective and time-effective! The book comes to you with two bonuses: An Underground 12 – Months Greenhouse talks about plants you can easily grow in your backyard within a short time. 1900 Projects That Will Help You Survive Crisis – teaching you skills to survive, planting medicinal herbs, water purification methods, and fish with minimal equipment. The author teaches you food preparation techniques such as 19 foods that will outlast you, 22 ingenious hacks to make food last longer, canning vegetables, how to mix your foods for maximum benefit, and how just $5 a week can get your family over 295 pounds of food. The book contains all practical information, with details of ingredients, and where to source them with a bit of Google search. Interestingly, you will also understand the origin, history, and uses of the foods and their ingredients. Pros The book comes to you with recipes that have since been forgotten, but worth retrieving.
The ingredients of the recipes are nutritional, natural, and homegrown. All the recipes in the book can be preserved for a minimum period of one year at least without using the refrigerator or any other preserving methods. The recipes do not take long to prepare. The simple and easy-to-understand instructions can be followed easily even if you do not have any expertise in cooking. The recipes given in the book were tried and used by our ancestors for a long time in all their tough times like wars and natural calamities. The recipes are tested and tried by today’s experts. Cons I’m not too sure of all the facts given in the book. All the ingredients may not be that easily available now Final Verdict As the author puts it, you will find it easy to handle any crisis where you run the risk of food shortage. Unlike the other products available in the market, The Lost Superfoods teaches you to preserve all food without any chemicals or any other gadgets, and yet get all the nutrients needed for the body. Based on the reviews of the users, I understand that the book works towards making each one of us self-sufficient and aware of surviving skills in any kind of calamities. You can rest assured that a few tough moments can change your entire life for a long time to come. It is imperative that we recollect the natural foods our ancestors knew and prepared to stay for many years without any preserving techniques. Upon going through the contents, my opinion is that it is a good buy for you to have in your store as you can save the lives of your beloved ones in case of any emergency. Also, some things mentioned in the book made me very surprised – how could we not know this?! With a money-back guarantee, you are never at risk of losing your investment. So why not give it a try and see if you can put the knowledge to some use? The content, reviews, and testimonials make me rate this program with 5 stars!

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
August 13th - The Thin Man
Some time in the 1930s, explorer Bruce Dickson attempted to climb Mount Kalpurthia in the Himalayas. There, he encountered the lost civilization of Kalahia, which possessed extremely advanced technology. The Kalahian people exposed Dickson to a mutagenic substance which altered his body to give him the same physical abilities as they had. Said properties included eternal youth, tremendous physical resilience and flexibility as well as the ability to become ‘thin,’ or rather, flat. Dickson learned much of their advanced technology, and fell in love with Olalla, the daughter of the Kalahians' leader.
Dickson and his new love travelled to the outside world and became superhero contemporaries of Captain America, the Sub-Mariner, and others. The Thin Man, which Dickson adopted as his superhero name, became a member of the stateside team the Liberty Legion during World War II.
Alongside the Liberty Legion, The Thin man assisted the Thing in recovering a canister of Vibranium that had accidentally been cast back in time and defeated Brain Drain who was attacking New York City in a giant Swastika-shaped airship.
At some point Olalla, whom Dickson had married, returned to Kalahia. The Thin Man remained in order to serve his country, and when he returned to Kalahia after the war he found that the nazis had located the valley and slaughtered all its inhabitants, including his wife.
Following these tragic events The Thin Man became an obsessed nazi hunter for decades, tracking down nazi operatives all over the world. In particularly, The Thin Man hunted the villain known as Agent Axis, the nazi commander responsible for Kalahia's destruction. With the help of Captain America, The Thin Man sought out and eventually confronted Agent Axis. Unfortunately the villain had been brought to America by way of the obscene Operation Paperclip and thus could not be prosecuted for his wartime activities. The Thin Man became so outraged that he wrapped his pliable body around Agent Axis and snapped his neck. Shocked, Captain America immediately brought him to the authorities for murder.
The Thin Man was eventually pardoned so that the U.S. government could obtain his knowledge of advanced Kalahian technology. He was made a member of the New Invaders, and began to contribute his knowledge to the group. Unfortunately, the entire operation was actually a ruse by the ex-nazi villain, the Red Skull, who had disguised himself as the Secretary of Defense. Once this deception was revealed, The Thin Man forged ahead with the plan to create a new Invaders unit armed with Kahalian technology, specifically to thwart the Red Skull and his organization, the Axis Mundi.
The Thin Man designed the battleship Infiltrator, which could travel through multi-dimensional space, effectively allowing it to teleport long distances. The Infiltrator was sacrificed when it was rammed into a doomsday weapon in order to protect the Earth from another WWII-era supervillain, U-Man.
The hero first appeared in Mystic Comics #4 (1940).

(Danmei Review and Recommendation Post - No Spoiler) Because I’ve mostly seen xianxia and wuxia in danmei available internationally, so I want to point out some danmei novels that aren’t in that particular subgenre. This particular one belongs to the zombie, economic war subgenres.
[系统]末世巨贾 (lit. (System) Doomsday Giants - Post-apocalyptic world giants) by 荷风渟 (He Feng Ting) …. Also nicknamed “The Interplanar smuggler” story by me.
Genres: Zombie, Post Apocalyptic World, Dual Worlds, wartime interplanar smuggler, superpower, level-up, system, build a nation, bonded animals.
Shou: Tsundere, face of an angel, heart of an angry cat, second heir of wealthy business tycoon family, coward turned gang boss and doomsday smuggler, totally convinced he’s super straight until he’s railed seven ways to Sunday offscreen (feisty, tiny kitten who is convinced he is a tiger), thinks he’s not a hero, becomes a hero/villain anyway.
Gong: Dutiful military man turned gangster second-in-command (big bad wolf masquerading as a dog. The wolf eats the cat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), confident gay who is out to bend the twink who is convinced he is macho man, looks like an Asian version of Michael Scofield in Prison Break (yep. With the close shaved head and all)
Premise:
A system connects two different worlds.
Wu Ye, the second son of a nouveau riche tycoon family in modern-day China, is a coward with no ambition in life other than living in leisure and waiting for a comfy death. After an incident during which he should have died, Wu Ye is dropped into a strange world where zombies roam the land. A thing calls System announces a contract in his head. Amazing! It’s just like in the stud novels he likes to read! But fuck that, he has to survive first.
But being a rich city boy who has never worked a day in his life, of course, Wu Ye has no chance against the hordes of zombies in this strange, brutal world. He really should have died in the first 5 minutes. But long story short, he is saved by a soldier, who takes a zombie bite in the arm in his place.
Wu Ye uses the one zombie vaccine shot from his beginner’s package on the soldier, thus saving his life. But that’s only the start of troubles.
I know what you think. But no, it’s not that kind of zombie story. Wu Ye is not here to be the protagonist of a stallion novel. He knows how useless he is in a zombie world. He also doesn’t want fame, riches, or women. He doesn’t want to save the world or be the hero. He just wants to go home and live his life as a human-shaped fermented fish. Wu Ye’s decision to save the strange soldier (Qin Wu Hua) is simply because he knows he can’t survive in this world. So he needs a bodyguard/muscle/lil’ brother to keep his ass out of zombie maws. Wu Ye also doesn’t just stay in the zombie world. The system is a point buy system. The more zombies and missions Wu Ye kills, the more points he is awarded. He can use these points to buy amazing things (and powers), but the most amazing is a ticket to his home dimension!! So Wu Ye, who has never worked an honest job in his life, works his butt off to buy his ticket home.
One month after the day he is dropped into the zombie world, Wu Ye finally saves up enough to go home. But the home he comes back to is not the one he remembers. His family has gone bankrupt. His elder brother, who he thought he could trust, has turned traitor, took the family’s fortune, and ran. His sickly little brother is on his death bed waiting for a heart transplant that will never come. What little wealth his family still has is all used to maintain Wu Ye’s little brother’s life.
Faced with this, Wu Ye, who loves his family dearly, chooses to man up and become a criminal. There are cheap things in his world that are precious in the zombie world and vice versa. He will jump back and forth between the two worlds, make money off of them, and drag his family back from the brink of ruin. His first smuggled item: salt. His second: cigarettes. Somewhere along the line, to protect himself, his people, and his smuggling business, Wu Ye starts smuggling weapons too. Eventually, Wu Ye becomes a gang boss, and Qin Wu Hua his loyal second in command.

My thoughts:
It’s a fun read. This story was on the silver nomination list the year it was published on JinJiang (the largest paid platform for amateur writers aimed toward the women’s market in China) and has been signed on by a hardcopy publisher. Til now, it’s only available in Mandarin, though.
I like the character growth the shou, Wu Ye, goes through. At the start of the story, he really is a lazy, good-for-nothing rich boy. He’s not a bad person. He just doesn’t have ambitions and happens to be born into a rich family. But then disaster and betrayal come. So Wu Ye has to grow to protect the people he loves. It’s really satisfying watching Wu Ye go from a scaredy cat who has to depend on Qin Wu Hua to the leader who takes care of his underlings and plans out the moves for their budding gang/operation.
The romance subplot of this story takes a back seat to Wu Ye’s journey from terrified interplanar refugee to global-scale zombie world warlord. The relationship between Wu Ye and Qin Wu Hua is sweet and has no true up and down. Because from the start, they were shoved into one life and death situation after another, so they learn to trust each other quickly. Qin Wu Hua is also a very straightforward person. When he realizes his feelings for Wu Ye, he immediately makes plans to inform and woo Wu Ye. He lives in a zombie world, after all. There really is no time for dawdling or playing games. At any moment, any of them might die. Wu Ye also doesn’t take too long to sort out his feelings, although he does complain in his head a lot about how he is totally straight, macho man.
The story also explains the origin of System (unlike a lot of stories out there in which System is just… there, with no explanation given). The System in this story is an artificial symbiotic entity created by an interplanar empire to flash-train soldiers for their wars in the past. Once the wars ended, this Empire stopped manufacturing Systems and deemed them illegal to trade. But due to how useful they are, Systems remain a popular item in the interplanar black market. Wu Ye got his hand on a bugged System (in the form of a pearl he bought from a vintage fair) without realizing it. The System in this story has a personality (a used-car salesperson moonlighting as a loan shark) and a pretty funny dynamic with Wu Ye (who won’t be scammed but is constantly forced to make bad deals!).
Also, the story is long. It’s over 200 chapters (close to 1 million words) long. That may be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your preferences.

Twitter Birds
What if when Jack referred to Twitter for Tommy's death, he meant little robotic birds that he places in trees to record the goings on of the server? So when anyone checks Twitter for information, they're just picking up these poorly concealed robotic birds and replaying the recordings on them.
Jack may not be a tech wiz but he has his way with redstone sometimes. He created these little bird-like robots during the L’Manburg War. Jack called them his ‘little Twittering Birds’ which eventually evolved into just ‘Twitter’. While he was not a formal part of the server at that time, it was quite easy for Tubbo to smuggle the small devices in from the Hub. The birds were unassuming enough. They were painted pieces of metal. Although well painted if you looked, you could find them easily enough. They were incredibly useful to find out information during wartime, and only were found by the DreamTeam after the forest was burned by Sapnap. The little bits of metal were the only things left in some of the trees. After this, Dream destroyed most of the original birds. He did leave a few in more obvious spots as a way to feed L’Manburg false information.
Tommy knew these birds were Jack’s and that Jack was watching the videos, even off the server. So he would talk to them when Tubbo was busy farming or he just needed to vent about something that made him mad, knowing that his friend would call him back later to complain or gossip.
Jack, without a home, was invited to the server shortly after the war due to his aid in the L’Manburg war for Independence. He then added bunches of the birds all around the server.
The birds have no use now really. Where once they were used to spy and scheme, they now sit unused in the trees. At least, this is what the server proper believes. But, every once and a while, Jack will check the recordings and find Tommy ranting to them or Niki telling them her day. During Manburg, Jack would religiously delete the recordings of Tubbo breaking down. Of Fundy, writing his spy book in front of them. He may have moved on to Manifold Land, but the remaining L’Manburgians had to stick together.
People like Puffy knew differently, and utilized the recordings to keep up with the goings on of the server. Her nose-y-ness led her to finding out about Tommy’s death before Sam could tell her.
Occasionally, Jack will listen to the old tapes he has on file and get rid of the dead space and uninteresting days. He’ll pick up the tape that he promised himself that he wouldn't listen to this time, but like every time before, he crumbles. God Wilbur sounded so young then. His Wilbur sounded so good to hear, he had almost forgotten what he had sounded like.
Two of the original birds from L’Manburg are still around. The first was one that Eret had salvaged to put in the museum. It sits on the side of the recreation of the walls. The second resided in L’Mantree. When Niki burnt it down at Doomsday, she kept it and it now resides in her secret city.

To reiterate.
The virus is real, masking kinda helps, the vaccines are real, effective and fine.
The issue I have is not that the vaccines “don’t work,” or.. have “magnetic whatever” in them (they don’t.) That’s hooey. The reality is, yes, COVID19 is real, the vaccines are real. In fact, mRNA vaccines, once the bugs are worked out, will enable RAPID response to the onset of actually very bad plagues or bio-weapons in a very short time, and have the potential to render a virus toothless out to ten billion generations of natural mutation from the source, given enough development. the mRNA vaccines or conventional COVID19 vaccines are not there to sterilize you, give you learning disabilities or autism, or TURN THE FREAKIN’ FROGS GAY.
The real problem is that this virus didn’t need to exist, and it is beyond disbelief to imagine that a corona virus with characteristics of multiple different corona virus families, many of which from species with no hereditary function to apply or infect human beings, would just fly out of the ether. COVID19 was without precedent and was shown to have characteristics identical to other corona viruses not of its hereditary lineage, but cousin species. However this discourse has gotten awfully quiiet, for some reason. It wasn’t just a Pangolin virus that gained the ability to negatively interact with human lungs. That did not happen by natural mutation in the wild.
Considering the fact it verywell and probably was a weapon that just so happened to escape from the literal god damned Chinese military COVID biolab in Wuhan, funded by Fauci’s little group, where they were STUDYING THIS EXACT BULLSHIT, that may be a reason of international diplomatic relations and national security. Despite being rather obvious to anyone that thinks about it for two god damned minutes.
So we have an American-Chinese team where they study gain-of-function in corona viruses in a Chinese military bio-lab, a virus with grab bag characteristics that IT CANNOT GAIN THROUGH NATURAL EVOLUTION ARBITRARILY (no two mutations are EVER the same. You don’t get the same fucking spike through convergent mutation, that shit was spliced and inherited) and surprise surprise it escaped and made its way across the globe because the Chinese corrupted and manipulated the WHO and international bodies into keeping quiet and not asking questions on threat of nuclear war (look it up. The US tried to probe, China threatened.)
And ultimately, what is the damage of the virus? Actually rather little. It was never going to exterminate more than 1-2% of the human species before we all gained natural immunity to it, or it thinned the herd enough for allow natural immunity at the great expense. Same as corona viruses from everywhere else on earth humans have dealt with since antiquity. It’s just another virus that can kill you and will more than likely kill the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions.
So then, why release a milquetoast virus as a doomsday weapon? And there’s the rub.
COVID19 was not created to cleanse the world like a conventional bio-nuke. It was created to be the backdrop for a greater discussion and practical argument for socialism. After using the bureaucracy to negate alternatives and other options, inertia in the system designed to prevent functioning and solving this problem in any logical of reasonable fashion, they want to have a “discussion” about how to fix this.
The real discussions they want to have are about the poor and the exposed, about how there’s now a need to prevent people from being homeless regardless of their ability to pay for a shelter, or work for pay. A reason to declare it to be wrong to hold church masses, but turn a blind eye to other people having maskless close-quarters gatherings. A reason to demand a kind of “practical conformity” in the form of masks, whether or not they actually do anything to eliminate virus transmission outside of a clinical setting or from lack of switching them out enough.
The virus was created to be a prop and a natural hazard as people argue for the “necessity” of their ideological bullshit. It was a weapon designed to punish inaction and the lack of addressing infection vectors. It was created specifically to argue that, “nobody, despite their age or level of infirmity, should be accepted to just die from natural greater exposure,” since they disagree that just because you’re old, you should be more vulnerable to illness.
So they’ve argued and used a virus as a weapon to demand everybody tighten their belts and we stop accepting that just because someone is morbidly obese and with other co-morbidities and age related weakness, that a wave of flu that for the rest of humanity is unfortunate and inconvenient but survivable, takes out people 80+. COVID19 is simply a weaponized prop for this “turning point” discussion.
But it’s not JUST a weapon designed to make those conversations about, “social change,” more real, it’s a weapon designed to make healthcare a bigger part of government and policy making as a whole. Creating a necessity via healthcare necessities, such as through viruses released into the wild to mutate and change. Or, if not naturally mutate and change, occasionally refresh the antagonist pool by dropping new and more virulent strains artificially created and cultured. Y’know, as a treat.
This is why so many like Faucci are in on it. What on earth would the medical establishment have to gain from colaboration with the Chinese military? A fast tracking towards vaccine technology that otherwise may’ve taken decades to fully realize, but due to practical and pragmatic reasons, can now be argued to get “needed” funds and necessitate rapid approval and development. Undercutting miles of red tape and time gated meetings, approvals, commitees, deliberations and refinements and trials, due to it basically being, “wartime emergency.”
And it isn’t even about gaining billions, conceivably trillions of dollars in profit. Just greed, there are better avenues for that then this haphazard cloak&dagger mess. It’s this entire performance is about engineering, “social change” and turning the world into a theater.
This method to “have convuhsayshuns uwu” and flex a bit of authoritarian moralist muscle is the epitome of everything that is wrong with, “social justice”, as defined by these fucks. Manufacture a problem and then use social manipulation techniques and set the house on fire to distract and force priority of discussion, only converse in the way and topic of what and how you want to converse, and disallow conversation that might take the outcome away from the target. It’s cold blooded, it’s manipulative, it’s machivallian, it’s fucking psychotic. And oh so familiarly, it’s in the interests of somebody’s, “greater good.”
Every complaint the supposed “left” has about hawk&dove war mongering against tangible other people and governments, the need for civil rights and diplomacy, the need for privacy from government, goes out the window when it comes to something like a virus or plague. They’ll very happily use the wartime economy and social schism to impose their own moralist versions of jingoism. And a virus is the perfect thing to weaponize to get what they want. Just rather than fight an unwinnable war against drugs or islamoimperialism, they seek to turn the wartime economy towards and war on illness. Replacing the military with the medical establishment.
And when the curtain finally falls and people point out this has all been smoke and mirrors, a massive play to dismantle churches, reshape the social sphere, make the New Normal not accepting seasonal viruses wiping out the elderly and infirm just because you can’t stop seasonal viruses, they’re going to ask, “But what did we really lose, though? :^)”

The wormy boy is head sneeple theory is really good too. Imagine if they reveal that white diamond was created as some sort of sapient Star Trek-esque doomsday machine virus thing for wartime or something by a highly advanced race and outlived nearly all of her creators only to find a single one by some convoluted set of circumstances is somehow still alive. Just imagine.

7Inside the Government’s Top-Secret Doomsday Hideouts
Christopher Klein
As the Cold War heated up in the 1950s, the U.S. government devised top-secret plans to ensure its survival if the Soviet Union launched a nuclear attack. These “Continuity of Government” preparations included building dozens of underground bunkers and arranging to move high-ranking government officials out of harm’s way. From a White House at sea to a subterranean capitol at a posh resort, learn more about seven of these doomsday plans.
A view of the West Tunnel Blast Door, which weighs 25 tons and serves as an entrance to a former government relocation facility codenamed “Project Greek Island”. This 112,000 square-foot shelter was constructed beneath the Greenbrier Resort’s West Virginia Wing, to serve as a relocation site for members of the U.S. Congress and associated staff in the event of a nuclear attack on the U.S. soil. The Greenbrier—White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia For decades the most ambitious Cold War hideout for the U.S. government was hidden in plain sight at a mountain retreat 250 miles southwest of the capital city. When the Greenbrier resort undertook construction of a new conference center in 1958, the expansion project included a top-secret doomsday bunker for the U.S. Congress that included everything from a dentist’s office to a 400-seat cafeteria.
While much of this intended wartime capitol was hidden behind reinforced concrete walls, the resort’s public meeting spaces included some of the facilities that would have been used by lawmakers. “For decades, you had conventioneers and conference-goers filing through the public spaces, never realizing they were actually sitting in the doomsday chambers of the House and Senate,” said Garrett M. Graff, author of Raven Rock: The Story of the U.S. Government’s Secret Plan to Save Itself—While the Rest of Us Die.
Although the construction project stirred local curiosity—workers were particularly puzzled as to why so many urinals were required—the 90,000-square-foot complex remained a secret until The Washington Post revealed it in 1992. The bunker is now open for public tours.

Floating White House—Atlantic Ocean Beginning in 1962, two special Navy command ships—the light cruiser USS Northampton and light aircraft carrier USS Wright—were considered the best options for evacuating the president from Washington, D.C., in the event of a nuclear attack. Under the National Emergency Command Post Afloat (NECPA) plan, one of the two “Floating White Houses” was always at sea in the Atlantic Ocean, Chesapeake Bay or shadowing the president around the world.
The ships carried special Joint Chiefs personnel and featured elaborate staterooms with full communications capabilities. “The Soviet Union had such a weak navy that it was thought almost impossible to find the ships in the grand expanse of the Atlantic,” Graff said, “but once satellite technology made it easy to track ships and get aerial observations, it was quite clear it was no longer feasible to hide the president in the Atlantic Ocean.”
The NECPA plan was dropped in the early 1970s, and both ships were eventually sold for scrap.

Grove Park Inn—Asheville, North Carolina The Supreme Court’s doomsday digs would have been more luxurious than those of Congress and the White House. The nation’s highest court decided in 1955 that in the case of an apocalypse it would convene inside one of the three banquet halls of the palatial Grove Park Inn, which sported a golf course and—as an added perk—was in the process of building a new swimming pool.
One problem with the plan: Chief Justice Earl Warren said he would never leave Washington, D.C., after learning wives would not be allowed to evacuate with their husbands.
“There’s a funny intersection between government plans and normal human psychology,” Graff said. “The government still doesn’t plan for spouses and children, and the expectation is still today that people will leave their families behind and evacuate to whatever bunker they are supposed to go to.”

Randolph-Macon Woman’s College—Lynchburg, Virginia During World War II, the National Gallery of Art hid dozens of its most precious paintings and sculptures—including Gilbert Stuart’s portrait of George Washington—in a first-floor music room of the Biltmore Estate, not far from the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina.
With the advent of the nuclear age, a pre-staged convoy of trucks in the gallery’s garage stood at the ready to evacuate its masterpieces to a $550,000 privately funded facility at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College (now Randolph College) that included a fully stocked, three-bedroom cottage for the gallery’s curator. The facility is now home to the Maier Museum of Art.

Cheyenne Mountain—Colorado Springs, Colorado Unlike most of the other doomsday bunkers constructed during the Cold War, no secrecy surrounded the underground fortress built for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). A public groundbreaking was even staged in 1961 as burrowing work began at the 9,000-foot-tall granite Cheyenne Mountain.
Two tons of dynamite a day were needed to build the five-acre complex that contains reservoirs of water and fuel and chambers capable of housing three-story buildings. The facility became fully operational in early 1967, but has since been re-designated as an alternate command center.
The Conservation Laboratory building of the Packard Campus for Audio-Visual Conservation is the only part of the facility which can be seen on the side of Mount Pony. The rest of the 45-acre campus is underground as it was originally part of a of a previously existing Federal Reserve Bank facility. (Credit: Melissa Golden/Bloomberg via Getty Images)
Mount Pony—Culpeper, Virginia Built into a hillside 75 miles south of Washington, D.C., the doomsday bunker constructed for the chairman, board of directors and staff of the Federal Reserve System included an enormous vault that held more than $4 billion—enough to replenish currency east of the Mississippi River and maintain the money supply for the two years it would take for the Bureau of Printing and Engraving to resume operations.
Opened in 1969, the facility held 700 million pieces of currency, many of them the unpopular $2 bills reintroduced in 1976. “Rather than scrap them, the government packaged them all up and put them in the Mount Pony bunker. It would ensure that after nuclear war we would be largely using $2 bills, figuring people would be a lot less choosy about currency post-apocalypse,” Graff said. The underground bunker now houses an audio-visual archival facility for the Library of Congress.

Outpost Mission—Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Beginning in the 1950s, a helicopter search-and-rescue unit remained on standby outside the capital’s blast zone at Olmsted Air Force Base to save the president’s life. Wearing dark visors and lead-lined flight suits to protect against the effects of a nuclear blast, members of the special unit were trained to rescue the president from the rubble of the White House and relocate the commander-in-chief to a bunker or the Floating White House.
Although the unit disbanded in 1970 when advances in atomic weaponry practically eliminated the chances of surviving a nuclear blast, Graff says there is a modern analog to Outpost Mission still posted outside Washington, D.C. “It was put on alert in the hours after the 9/11 attacks to possibly dig Vice President Dick Cheney out of the rubble of the White House bunker,” he says.

Thanks to the nuclear reactor, the missile could stay aloft almost indefinitely. That means after flying across the Earth to its targets in the Soviet Union, where it would dump its payload of 16+ hydrogen bombs, the missile itself was still good to keep flying. Which allowed for all kinds of extra terror-fun: ...a locomotive-size missile that would travel at near-treetop level at three times the speed of sound, tossing out hydrogen bombs as it roared overhead. Pluto’s designers calculated that its shock wave alone might kill people on the ground. Then there was the problem of fallout. In addition to gamma and neutron radiation from the unshielded reactor, Pluto’s nuclear ramjet would spew fission fragments out in its exhaust as it flew by. (One enterprising weaponeer had a plan to turn an obvious peace-time liability into a wartime asset: he suggested flying the radioactive rocket back and forth over the Soviet Union after it had dropped its bombs.) This crazy bastard had so many ways to kill you, it was like a death buffet: should I die in the nuclear blasts of the bombs themselves, or just let the shockwave of the overpassing missile kill me? Maybe I’ll just wait for the radiation sickness as this thing circles endlessly overhead, like a colossal demonic robot vulture. It’s so hard to choose! From an engineering standpoint, Project Pluto was certainly impressive, and pushed the absolute limits of the technology of the time. The reactor that powered the missile was one of the smallest, lightest ever built — partially achieved by eliminating almost anything that had to do with such candy-assed ideas as “safety.” The reactor’s operating temperatures were so high (2500° F) that most alloys would melt, forcing the use of components like fuel rods to be made of ceramic, developed by a little porcelain company named Coors. Coors’s ceramic-lined brewing vats eventually spawned a profitable sideline you may have heard of.

Do you think splitting the Spriggans was done because there was no way to write FT beating them back as remotely believable even for Mashima poor writing? Honestly the Alvarez arc should have just been Zeref and the Spriggans attack. Not a two million strong army. That way each Spriggan can be so strong that it takes entire guilds and the team work of several of FT best just to defeat them. It was unbelievable that only the Spriggans out of a continental empire. Could match the mages of Fiore.
Yeah, there should be no way for FT to take them all at once. And I admired that it was split up, because I thought we would get some cool character development.
I actually liked the lead on Caracole island with Marin and it showed there are mages that aren’t spriggans who can be a threat, but still taken down. Don’t have Brandish interrupt the fight, have Natsu and Gray beat Marin through teamwork. Not just cause it shows that while Marin can be a challenge, he’s not a threat and also foreshadow how good Gray and Natsu get along now vs when they start trying to kill eachother.
Then, Brandish solves the problem with the warning. Maybe have another spriggan like Wahl or Dimaria there to build them out as well and get bouncing off Brandish (Because she doesn’t really interact with that many spriggans cause she was primarily solo). Ajeel’s chase while kinda stupid in how OP he looks in comparison to how he is later, is also a good show, but include another spriggan in that like Invel or August who could be assisting. And instead of this big heroic save, have it be a slinking away with Mest getting them to Sorano. We could have Natsu, Erza, and Gray argue that could’ve ended it, but Makarov likely point out they are in enemy territory. Even if they could win (which I think Team Natsu could likely do against Ajeel) they still have far more to worry about.
Then when it is wartime, instead of a “black carpet.” How about just the Spriggans and their squads. With FT and all guilds working together. Instead Gajeel getting Christina. Just say he’s here to get Bob’s support for the war. Then have the Rune Knights back them up. FT and the guilds can take the teams of 3 spriggans and the Rune Knights can fight the troops.
However, if I were to take it further than simply “FT vs Alvarez and make it Ishgar vs Alvarez.” After getting Makarov home, Gajeel’s former contacts from the Rune Knights drag them to be chewed out by the new magic council (introduce the wizard saints). You have people like Jura and Warrod who know and respect Makarov and would stand behind him. But they still chew him out on how because of FT’s actions the entire continent is doomed. And Hyberion and Wolfheim as well as the other members are going to rule that Makarov hand over Fairy Heart.
But then, all the guild masters they know come in, having been talked to by Gajeel and his group saying that, even if FT’s conflict starting this war, this is their continent and their home. They aren’t going to be pushed around and let a potential doomsday weapon fall into the hands of the black wizard. Have Mest bring up that it was Ft who defeated Balam and avenged all those brothers and sisters in arms of the Rune Knights who died from Jackal. That this fight is not just theirs, but now its time for them to do the same.
Then have the cool mobilizing of all the guilds to their destinations with Zeref’s and split them up into cool battles. Focus on the ship warfare at Hargeon in the south. With Wahl and weakness ships or Neinhart’s guards focusing on keeping him from needing to fight. Instead of just Fiore, hit that Island nation Caelum in the west and meet Ajeel’s flying forces and Zeref’s personal forces in a new location. Stalling Zeref from himing Fiore and maybe involving Ajeel and Invel bouncing off each other.
In the north have it focus on the cold environment and using it to their advantage with Irene messing things up. And if the mountain is sacred with history behind it, maybe have some people native to northern region with the rune knights or Lyon who grew up north know about Mt Zonia’s history too. Then with the West, have characters like God Serena, August, and Jacob take forever coming to the battlefield. And instead of destroying a whole countty’s guilds we don’t know about, how about stealth master Jacob get them in secretly to the Western front. Build up that they are looming threats. Maybe not only do they walk through some of the Rune Knights, but instead of all 4 of the gods meet them, why not Jura and Warrod. Then they fight and while they lose, they can fall back and warn FT. Have another stealth operation with Brandish’s squad as she has the teleportation mage Marin and you know they’re heading for Magnolia with only Freed and his Jutsu Shiki guarding Magnolia, with the B-tier members of FT knowing that they might have to step up and Makarov says that he’ll still fight.
Make this war feel bigger. Use your different front interestingly and not just be a back drop.
