Now that the final chapter of Bendy and the Ink Machine is out, will you update the article reviewing its creatures? The last two chapters had some really neat additions.

Nah, I might do a new article but generally I never go back and add to old Halloween posts because I like the little time capsule they represent, even if I generally hope that people still go back and read them or read them for the first time years later

the thing is that sometimes, the right audience is the small one. the reposted "new followers dont even know about my lore" post is getting all tags like "teehee my url/profile pic, why i say scrumbly doombly, why i like my blorbo" and all nerd shit that isnt even lore its just going having a blog and interests. then on the smaller but sexier crowd i have ppl commenting "i want him carnally" on the dio throwing darts at destiny and winning. you could write ancient greek theory out of this, a tumblrina's experience with her flooded notes

A depressing Just Friends theory: the part Star and Marco lipsync to is about having had, and wasting a chance to be more than just friends; that coupled with how reluctant Marco was to have Jackie come with them and her lack of appearances. What if Marco was getting over Jackie (possibly due to Running With Scissors) and Star unwittingly rekindled Marco's feelings for Jackie, thus wasting her chance?

I don’t think that’s the case, to me it looks like Marco was mostly worried about Star monopolizing Jackie’s attention: remember that, to Marco, Star is the coolest girl around; he said it in the first episodes, he agreed to it again in Just Friends

So to someone as insecure as he is, the idea of someone like Jackie, another cool girl, wanting to spend time with him over spending time with Jackie sounded absurd

So it wasn’t as much as Marco getting over Jackie, more like Marco still not feeling completely comfortable around Jackie, still worried about losing her over the slightest of mess ups.

Speaking of that cheek mark post, I've noticed that the only ones with suit marks are queens who were very powerful/did very important things (Eclipsa is Eclipsa, Moon fought Toffee and has a title that suggests it was a really, really big deal, Star is apparently one of the most powerful magic users ever, and the mere fact that Miss Heinous is the only recurring villain besides Ludo/Toffee suggests she's a lot more important than we know of). As I said in my previous post, I believe those “card suit” marks have been chosen by the crew because they’re easily recognizable and, likely, the audience is already very familiar with them. I don’t think they’re supposed to mean anything important in-Universe: the importance is more of a “meta”-thing, so the audience can go all “omg that symbol!”. You can replace the card suits with any other kind of weird original shape: only difference is that the audience would not be familiar with those, and you want them to be instantly detectable, considering that they symbolize different (and important) characters.

Notice how (if I recall correctly) no one refers to Moon or Eclipsa as “The Queen of Diamonds” or “The Queen of Spades”.
