Trapped Fear

At first Fright Knight was not loyal to Pariah, maybe it was because he was the combination of many warriors and he knew that tyranny would lead to nothing. However, because of this the former king engaged him in battle and captured his core, making him loyal.

Like all Ancients, Fright Knight could survive without his core but had to obey the person holding it. He and Clockwork shared that unfortunate fate, though Fright Knight considered being at the mercy of the Observants far worse.

When Danny defeated Pariah Dark his control over Fright Knight stopped, the knight foolishly thought he would take back what was his, but the old king was selfish and thrown the stone of fear into the human world, where he knew Fright Knight would not enter.

Disappointed but used to it, Fright Knight resigned to not finding that part of himself, he served Danny from that moment on, becoming his protector and above all, his friend. Until someone found his core and instead of being free, he was summoned and resigned to fulfill the words of his new owner.

Of course, Danny was worried when his knight disappeared from Phantom Palace, and after a long search he found his whereabouts in a city: Gotham. A man called "Scarecrow" was spreading fear in the city, and it seemed very familiar to him.

After a fight with the bats he got the information he needed: his knight was following the man. When he went to face his old friend, the king noticed that Fright Knight was not speaking on his will, he was crying and sending messages of help that only he could understand. The King was furious, and maybe it was time to show why no one messed with what was his.

Honestly if we just look at the events of 2016 and Eternal, Samuel Hayden might be the funniest character of all time.

Imagine being the ultimate Billionaire Businessman. You own the largest company on Earth, you have more money than you can ever know what to do with, you have the greatest minds of a generation working for you. You've literally defeated death by having your brain placed into a robot body, and you've since managed to solve a worldwide energy crisis and document the literal biblical hell. For all intents and purposes, you are the most important human being to ever live. And then in the span of like a month, you lose literally everything. Your Mars Base gets torn apart by both a rogue employee letting demons free and the guy you specifically kept around to stop her from doing that. And then that guy destroys the energy source you've been selling to Earth because it's the only way to get rid of the demons, and you're forced to go along with it because you can't really stop him. Then when you go back to Earth, your company has gone through a hostile takeover by a LITERAL CULT and the demons are here and ripping Earth to shreds, so you're forced to become a fucking General and fight with Demons. And you lose so bad that your robot body gets torn to fucking shreds and you barely survive. And just when you think things can't possibly get worse, The Angry Guy shows back up to use you as a fucking Alexa with the express purpose of killing the Pope of the Angels. And you just go along with it with no complaints because he'll likely beat your skull in if you don't.

Like, for how much shit that Doomguy put him through across this duology, Hayden is WAY too nice to him. I would've tried to kill the guy at least once, but Hayden just stands (or floats) around like a disappointed parent watching the Slayer basically destroy his entire life.

Can you explain the story of Apollo and Hyacinthus please..

Hyacinthus was a Spartan prince and he was oh so beautiful. He was adored by Apollo, Zephyrus, Boreas, & a mortal man named Thamyris but he chose Apollo over them all.

Hyacinthus was a frequent visitor to Apollos sacred lands with the god in chariot drawn by swans. Apollo, so deeply in love with Hyacinthus, abandoned his sanctuary in Delphi to stay by Hyacinthus side by the river ‘Eurotas’. While Apollo spent time with Hyacinthus he had taught the mortal man how to use a Bow and Arrow, how to play the Lyre, and the art of prophecy.

One day, while Hyacinthus and Apollo were together, Apollo was teaching Hyacinthus the game of Discus (or it was Quoits). They both decided to have a competition and started to take turns throwing the discus!

Apollo had thrown it first. His strength so mighty the discus had flown right into the sky and split the clouds in half! Happy and Excited to retrieve the discus, Hyacinthus ran behind to catch it! But when it hit the ground, the discus had bounced back up and landed a fatal blow on Hyacinthus’s head.

Apollo, worried, rushed to Hyacinthus’s aid. Holding him and going down with him. Apollo’s face was pale, watching his lover’s life now fade right in his hands. Apollo tried numerous things; to using herbs, to using ambrosia to heal the wound. It was no use, he could not heal the wound that was fated unto his lover.

Apollo wept and cried.

Apollo expressed his desire to become mortal, so he could join the spartan boy into death. Though his wishes were purely wishes due to his immortality; So Apollo promised that he would always remember and remind himself of Hyacinthus through his songs and the music of his Lyre. While holding Hyacinthus, Apollo had used the boy’s blood to create the Hyacinth flower. Carving the words of lamentation ‘Al Al’ — “alas.” on the petals . .

In some retellings; Hyacinthus comes back or Zephyrus kills Hyacinthus out of jealousy but this is the one I am more familiar with! I hope you enjoyed :) , until next time!

Spewage Litmus: Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part 2

A blessed return to form, Doom Eternal's second DLC brings back heavy doses of arena combat. The new enemy types repeat similar mistakes as those of Part 1, but are a lot more flexible and tolerable. The addition of a new gadget to the slayer's overfull bag of tricks is unwelcome, but can mostly be ignored. The only unavoidable disappointment is the pattern-based final boss fight – this is at least the sixth time in this franchise they've tried and failed to make one of these interesting. Thankfully, on balance, this is still just more Doom, and there's nothing wrong with that.
