I love that she is utterly wholesome. She looks like a cinnamon roll, is a cinnamon roll, and will still absolutely kick your butt while still being a cinnamon roll. Even when she is mad and fighting vile villains, she never has any desire to kill them. She will beat them black and blue, but leave them alive because she always has the thought that they can possibly redeem themselves in the future. It's a noble outlook that is hard not to love.

Writing her upbeat character keeps my otherwise moody self in check and offers me a kinder perspective on the world. If she can give Dr. Doom a little grace. I can give myself grace, too.

😈Worst thing you have ever done to your muse?

Probably the first time I cosplayed as her. I sullied her image when I had to play tug-of-war with my huge stuffed tail when it got stuck in the bathroom stall at the convention. This was before Squirrel Girl was more well-known, so a lot of woman just wittnessed some young squirrel lady cursing at a bathroom stall as she valiantly fought to get her furry tail out of the too small small door gap and ultimately had to unstrap her tail harness all while using language most foul. (It had been a long day, I had not eaten in over 8 hours, and I was so hot from the green bodysuit layered with a furry bathing suit over top and carrying an 8 pound squirrel tail on my back. By that point, I was absolutely done with it all.)

🔥Unpopular opinion about your muse?

I don't know if it's necessarily unpopular, but I like the art style of 'The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl'. A lot of people think the style is really ugly. I like the more rounded features of Doreen and that she isn't made to be some sort of fan service. She looks like an average late-teen/early twenties (cartoon) gal.

😩Hardest thing about writing your muse?

What makes me love her is also a double-edged sword for me. I like writing more conflicted and/or morally ambiguous characters, and Doreen is certainly not that. I am a foul-mouthed, stay-indoors-and-eat-junkfood-while-playing-video-games-in-a-dark-room-gremlin sort of a woman. Sometimes, it takes a lot of work to get into Doreen's headspace when I'm watching trash TV and playing through a "black widow" challenge on the Sims 4.

⌨️What is a situation that you have always wanted to RP with your muse?

I have always wanted to RP in a time frame where Doreen has truly grown up. Even though she is older now, the comics continue to present her as mentally child-like in an adult roll. I would love to play Doreen as an *adult*. She can still be a sweet, morally strong character, but I do want her to be portrayed as a mature, grown woman. I think she can be just a loveable and silly as Squirrel Girl while also being the stable, reliable adult Doreen that people respect and look up to. She doesn't have to be a complete joke character.

What are your top 3 ships for Krem and why?

Heyya! I'm gonna slap this under a read more just because it's my personal thoughts on ships and stuff and I don't wanna bother people who aren't interested.

Notice: just because I ship the following doesn't mean I'll press for any of these ships! I always value the other mun's interests, thoughts, and making connections of all kinds for Krem! Friendships, family, rivalries- all relationships are important and valid 👌

Okay, so my top three ships with Krem

My first fave is with The Iron Bull.

When DA:I first came out i was OBSESSED with Krem because I was just starting to figure out myself as a transmasc. So I naturally interacted with him and Bull as much as I could to get out every bit of his story. Their story together is so fucking important and I love it as is, but as a ship monster, I was doomed from the start. The story of being saved, taken in, working side by side and fighting back to back? Ugh, I'm a sucker for that shit.

Second Fave is with Cullen. Which is fairly new and very much thanks to my wife @serrutherford.

We do a lot of rp off tumblr and it started off as a 'hey i found this art' but then it turned into ridiculous headcanons and so much fun. I always HC that Krem strives to learn as much as possible from the various soldiers while he's at skyhold, so we imagined him going up to request some sparring and training from Cullen, offering his own services as a former-military man in helping training the recruits, and attraction just sort of blossoming from there. This is probably the only ship I would say is 'exclusive'. I'll obvs write with other Cullens, but the ship is between my wife and I mainly.

My third is actually a toss up so I'm giving you four.

Josie. I absolutely adore Josephine Cherette Montilyet and I can completely imagine Krem being head over heels for her the first time he sees her.

I've always imagined it as a soft sort of soft romance. Being a mercenary, Krem wouldn't have a lot of experience with a 'real' relationship beyond the rare tavern hook up (hc on those coming later). So I pictured him going to people like Cassandra and Varric for advice and getting some... Interesting pointers. That ultimately just makes him decide that he's gonna try to be sweet and bringing flowers and little trinkets to Josie. After Trespasser, he would 100% take a break from the chargers to go and spend time with her, acting as her personal guard while she got her family's trading routes back in order.

Four is Dorian.

This one would be full of some fun conflict and angst, especially with Krem's negative thoughts towards Tevinter, Magisters and slavery. But especially as Dorian grows and opens up about his struggles with his family, I can see them coming to an understanding and a friendship that then leads to more. Krem would highly enjoy Dorian's dry sense of humor. There'd be a lot of teasing back and forth and Krem would most definitely be there for Dorian when he found out his father was killed. Because even if we didn't get much of a reaction from Dorian, I can imagine it hit him harder behind closed doors.

A note from a secret admirer: I admire how you RP Sephiroth! I've read your headcanon on his love language of knowing the little things about him (his order in particular) and it made me think. That probably has some canon basis! In Crisis Core, when Genesis was reading a verse from LOVELESS, Sephiroth knew exactly which act it came from. English ver made this sweet thing hard to pick up on, since it made Seph even more sarcastic than he was in Japanese. It seemed like an important trait to show how thoughtful he is. He would probably admire someone who does a similar thing for him.

The headcanon you mention came, I think, from a dash game, one of those personality quizzes. It’s always a nice feeling when the results actually match your idea of the character. Sephiroth did certainly care a good deal about Genesis, possibly enough to read the epic himself. But it’s also very possible that the man quoted the book so many times, it got stuck in his head (I think Sephiroth actually said something along those lines in the training room cutscene, didn’t he?).

At the same time I’m not so sure if Sephiroth would be impressed by someone who knew him well. With how famous he is as a celebrity, complete with his massive fan club, I’m quite sure many facets of his privacy have been leaked and ravaged on by his many obsessive fans. Much like in modern times, parasocial relationships were probably a thing he had to deal with and reject time and time again. I imagine after meeting the upteenth girl claiming she knows everything about him, he’d be sick and tired of hearing it.

Of course this is all speculation and headcanons since the lore left so many holes in Sephiroth’s character and his life, so it’s really up to your personal take and flavor what he’d be impressed by. Personally, my portrayal of Sephiroth has him crave two things the most: the unconditional love akin of that of a mother for her child (or his idealization of it, anyway), and just as importantly: to feel actually needed.
