Second member of my lil Space rescue crew I'm building for funsies. I also couldn't help but doodle that comic strip as well, BC it was stuck in my brain and wouldn't leave otherwise.

Anya deserved SO much better....art wise too, maybe I'll try to draw her properly later?

(Side note; in a more serious story, Stefan absolutely would NOT just casually walk there with a bloody axe, knowing Anya is very badly traumatized; he'd be much more tactful. This strip is kind of meant to be absurd and 'non-canonical' to his character)

Also, more info about Nadiya below:

Nadiya is VERY picky about her crew, hence she has a small one. She's especially picky about men, having had unpleasant experiences working with them during her training.

That said, she has very firm trust on Stefan and her co-pilot, who have proven themselves to her quite a few times already

Nadiya finds Stefan's obliviousness over the fact TWO people have a crush on him amusing.

She and Stefan act as the "mom and dad" of the crew, though they aren't a couple by any means; neither feels any sort of attraction to the other, but they trust and respect each other, and are willing to take more drastic measures than the others.

Nadiya can be quite ruthless if she wants to, there is a reason why she has a reputation. That being said she takes her job as a rescuer seriously - she's just willing to 'rescue' crews from their bad apples as well...

Her saying, "Whatever the threat, external or internal" is basically her philosophy that leads to this.

I'll add more stuff once I figure it out; I don't have her that fleshed out yet, but that's typical for any new characters, they need time to develop.

@ghostishere0 - the original reason I started this doodle, as I wanted to draw a "shepherd lovers squad" and their OC (who I don't know the name of F) was the perfect fit for it.

@luminesparkz - the best interpretation of Pom pikmin. If I were Mr. Nitendo, I would make them the official comic creator along with the manga comics.

@marblyso - If I was a little more unhinged and made a shrine to Erma Shepherd, it would be mostly marblyso's art of her, it's my absolute favorite Erma depiction <3

@rexscanonwife - another OC that I don't know the name of, but she makes such a cute pair with Shepherd and has such cute art that why not, let Shepherd have multiple canon wives at this point.

@citruscrisp - I think this is secretly Alph in an alternate universe where he makes comics about himself, because citrus has Alph's character SPOT ON, and also loves to put that boy in a situation (which I am happy for, I enjoy seeing that boy in a situation)

@daisythecomic - oooaaaaaaaaaa they look like little mice people they look so soft and sweet I love them so muuuuuuuuuccchhhhhhhhh

@louie-posting - I can't not include actual Louie Pikmin on this list.

@kiwilittle - the soft, the sweet, the one who makes the best family style art, really making me wish I was an inch tall so I could go to holidays with the olimar family, also their wife design is so cute that if Olimar didn't already get it I would shoot my shot for her m a a m

@pikbugz - really nails the soft aesthetic that makes pikmin such a calming series, and their coloring style is so soft and good that it gives me the ratatouille nostalgia flashback moment.

@splitster - more than just the wraith au guy, they are the one who makes incredible and funny comics; I've seen so many fics with the rescue corps where I can pick up that yes, this trait came from a splitster comic, and that's a GOOD thing. Made me actually LIKE Dingo, the nerve.

@diesaur - I can't do diesaur's incredible, unique art justice, they are amazing at using geometrics and have the best charlie (his little teefs...)

@solluxander - Cars, one of my favorite pikmin Ocs I've ever seen! Collin deserves a slightly unhinged sentient fluffball boyfriend, and I always love seeing the new ways Cars will interact with him.

@sillypikmin - all hail the best pikposter, who I'm still convinced is an actual leafling living on actual pnf-404, literally every time I have a bad day I look at drawings of Moss and feel better.

@eggpathy - thank goodness they came back to give us old man yaoi. I keep their drawing of olimar kissing the pikmin good night on my phone and look at it before I go to sleep and so far I have yet to have a single nightmare.

@the-knife-consumer - the only person I trust with Louittany, toxic yuri my beloved, I just adore their beasty brittany design so so much, I wish I could have a small brittany to live in my house...

@natibranch - there's a voice line of Louie going "wa-ha!" in this really cute sing-song voice and every time I see any art by natibranch I hear that sound in my head as a little burst of serotonin, they just nail that exact feeling so so well.

@pikked-min - Another of my favorite Pikmin OCs, Yuva! A really interesting and unique character concept with a lot of thought put into the worldbuilding, followed by a strong unusual personality that had me looking at the pikmin world through a new perspective entirely. Please, someone, give them some sunglasses. Read the fic it's so good

@ssserf - artistic and deep while still somehow looking like official nintendo tm art, genuinely the best at the pikmin proportions, how could I resist trying my hand at the classic amazing beautiful Brittany Fruit Sweater moment, literally SO iconic

@kashi-pon - while I was working on the part of this that was just kashi's various highlife dresses there was a part of me that wanted to dedicate the rest of the space to paying homage to the joke comic of Louie lifting his skirt to show Olimar that he's wearing shorts, except this dress....well......

Things I would like to see in Stranger Things 5:

- Since Robin has done quite a few doodles on her red converse, I like to think she's quite good at drawing, so that can be a way for her to start up a conversation with Will

- And then Will confides in Robin about being gay and being in love with Mike because he had a feeling that she was like him and Robin confirming she was indeed like him and becoming his gay mentor (like you don't understand I NEED ROBIN AND WILL TO HAVE A CONVO ABOUT BEING GAY)

- Will (finally!) tells the party that he's gay (and Byler becomes a thing) but not before Robin comes out to the party in order to make Will feel more comfortable and to show him that they will accept him because that's totally something she would do as his gay mentor

- More Steve and Robin being "Platonic with a Capital P" cause we didn't get enough in st4

- Hopper and Joyce trying to corral the kids and control the situation as best as they can

- Joyce being a mother figure to Robin like she is with the rest of the kids and Robin becoming better acquainted with El, Jonathan, and ESPECIALLY Will because she didn't really get a chance to get to know the California crew before they packed up and moved so ya

- El traveling into Vecna's/Henry's/One's mind in order to be able to wake Max up and free her from his control because he said his victims stay with him in his mind so like 👀

- Max wakes up after El successfully rescues her from Vecna/Henry/One but she is severely incapacitated, like she's probably blind in one or both eyes and is going to need assistance walking for the rest of her life and is going to be stuck in the hospital for a few more weeks (possibly months)

- How and when the Upside Down was created

- What Will's connection to Vecna/Henry/One and the Upside Down really entails and how that could affect both him and The Party during this final stretch

- Vecna/Henry/One, the Demogorgons, the Demodogs, the Demobats, the Mindflayer, and the Upside Down along with whatever other monsters are down there get destroyed once and for all because I don't think shutting the gates is gonna do it this time

- Kali comes back to help El defeat Vecna/Henry/One

- Murray tries to figure Steve and Robin out but he can't because he's never seen anything like the two of them and it frustrates him to no end

- Then when he tries to psychoanalyze Robin she does it right back to him because she's a freaking genius and everyone is in awe of her because they've never seen Murray speechless before

- KAREN WHEELER DESERVES TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT'S BEEN GOING ON IN HAWKINS!!!!!!!!

- And I hate to say it but if Steve dies Robin dies too because despite the fact that she is my favorite character (close seconds are Nancy and Will) Steve is her platonic soulmate and they are codependent on one another and one just simply cannot survive without the other

- Like it would absolutely break my heart to have to see Robin try to live without her dingus of a best friend and to have to see Steve try to live without his wing woman of a bestie so if one dies both of them die

- Lucas defending Max's unconscious body with Erica from whatever creatures from the Upside Down want to try and take and/or kill her

- Mike and El break up because El realizes she needs to be her own person and because Mike is in love with Will

- Dustin is even more protective and stubborn about Steve heading into danger because of what happened to Eddie and he absolutely refuses to leave his side through the entire season

- RONANCE RONANCE RONANCE RONANCE (i know it's probably not gonna be canon but a girl can dream)

- Robin finally getting an onscreen kiss with her girlfriend or a girl she really likes (cough cough Nancy cough cough) (sorry Vickie but I feel like ur just too similar to Robin)

- And if Steve doesn't die (hopefully🤞) then please please please DO NOT have Steve and Nancy get back together after she breaks up with Jonathan when she finds out he lied to her about Emerson along with everything else that's been piling up between them

- Instead Nancy decides she's better off not being in a relationship (or better yet she gets together with Robin) and focuses on what she's absolutely sure she wants which is getting her journalism degree at Emerson (and Robin decides to go there too if they become a thing 😊)

- Because Nancy Wheeler is a smart, strong, fierce, badass, independent woman and she does not need to be kept in a cage by becoming a housewife who gives birth to SIX KIDS

- NANCY WHEELER DOES NOT WANT SIX KIDS

- I REPEAT, NANCY WHEELER DOES NOT WANT SIX KIDS

- Steve and Robin move in together and attend a community college together (Steve's either getting a teaching degree or a child psychology degree while Robin is doing something with linguistics) or they follow Nancy to Boston because Robin and Nancy are absolutely smitten with one another :)

- Meeting Steve and Robin's respective parents

THIS IS JUICE!! (art & design by @/indig0trolls!!)

I. Forgot to make his hair grey in the artwork because it was literally a doodle i did in an hour so!! Doesnt matter!! Context: I tend to use the US Navy Ranking system for Alternian Fleet because it made the most sense to me. Navy -> Fleet Command is run by Seadwellers......just. made sense in my brain.

Mavrik Conrod is a Captain with his own ship, complete with all the bells whistles aircraft and crew that accompanies it. Juice is his Second Lieutenant, second in command, that does 99% of the clerical work. Mavrik's ship, the ASAR Salvation, specializes in a wide variety of search & rescue types- combat, wilderness, maritime, mountain, urban, space- with Mavrik being one of the Empire's best trackers. Mav does REALLY GOOD at his job- he is fucking fantastic at finding and rescuing people. He absolutely sucks ASS when it comes to ANYTHING related to paperwork other than actual communications with the Empire.

That's where Juice comes in! Juice is not his real name, but a callsign that stuck. As such, he signs literally everything off a Lt. Juice. He's good natured, has a bit of a dark humor but does genuinely care about the people he's around. He has a bit of a temper with a short fuse though! His psionics are hidden and weak, though he could power a ship if he bothered to practice them. Despite being a lowblood, he does feel he deserves his rank and spot. The alternative was being a battery after all.

Mavrik, while being good at his job, is godawful at taking care of himself. There is a bit of a one-sided pale between them that only Juice is really aware of, purely because Juice makes sure Mav keeps his head on straight. In a way, Juice is the one who aims Mav at the target, and Mav gets them there flawlessly. Juice doesn't mind a whole lot- sometimes it bothers him that Mav doesn't seem to share feelings, but the alternative is leaving Mav to his own devices, which may or may not end up very well.

Mavrik also refuses to put up a fight unless necessary. He's more of a pacifist and would rather let someone take a few swings at him to let it out. Juice, on the other hand, would gladly knock someone's lights out. He'd do it for a corn chip. Fuck, he'd go at someone for free. After all what the fuck are they going to do? He outranks most of the trolls who might try to fight him. And standing right behind him is a 7ft violet littered with scars. They don't need to know that Mav is a pacifist.

Because do c!Rivals have an interesting dynamic? Yeah sure, but it's not c!Peerpressuduo. It's not intrinsically tangled with c!Techno's character arc and narrative.

It's not c!Techno slowly learning to trust again and going from "Just because you gave me this axe, doesn't mean we're friends" then to "But you don't like people, right?" "I mean I like Ranboo, he's alright" and finally to "I'm not leaving without Ranboo" and "You've got the wrong hostage! He doesn't care, I care NO!!"

Because when c!Ranboo died, c!Techno screamed out how much he cared about them in a desperate attempt to save them, then without missing a beat, set out to rescue their son. What did he do for c!Dream in that same stream? Told him that he wasn't going to help or protect him (the two things c!Techno specializes in to demonstrate love) and that he should go. Basically, he ended their relationship.

c!Techno goes from refusing to trust c!Ranboo because he's always betrayed when he does that, refusing to even admit he cares about them or likes them, to openly protecting them the same way he does with c!Phil, admitting he likes, exchanging secrets about hearing voices with them, and letting them into the Syndicate.

They just mean everything to me, and they deserve to win this match up. You can't change my mind on that, even with a whole essay on c!rivalsduo (though on that note, here's a whole essay on c!prpduo)

HELL yeh ty baby ♡ fem!reader

Eddie's a good dad. Fuck anyone who thinks otherwise, he's good at this shit, and if Roan wants to go get burgers every Friday he's gonna take her. His daughter deserves the world.

Including greasy, messy quarter pounders from Benny's diner.

"What's that one?" Eddie asks, pointing over Roan's half eaten plate with his pinky finger at her drawing, the table between them covered in crayons from her open pencil case.

"This? This'a doggy," she says, like it's obvious and he's the worst.

"I knew that," — he did not know that — "I meant want kind of doggy."

"Oh. That's our dal-dalm-damnation!"

Eddie grins at the idea of a dalmatian named damnation. Fucking sweet. "Dalmatian, babe." He wipes his fingers in a napkin so he can lean over and pick sesame seeds out of her hair and off of her little sweater. "I thought you wanted a St. Bernard. The rescue dogs with the medicine around their neck, you remember?"

She points at the dalmatian's side where she's drawn a cross in red crayon. "He is a rescue dog."

Eddie hums appreciatively and picks up his burger again. But the time he's finished Roan has moved onto a clean page. She sits there tap tap tapping her crayon against the corner.

"What do I draw?" she asks.

Eddie grabs his napkin. "You didn't give me a look at the first one!" he exclaims, stacking her plate on top of his.

Roan struggles. Her sketchbook is a simple plain workbook from Bradley's with thin paper, but the size of it is still heavy in her small hands. She turns back to the page she'd just been decorating and brandishes it against her chest proudly.

"Holy sugar, that's awesome," he praises, and means it. "Is that Princess Peony?"

"The damnation is saving her," Roan says.

"I can see that."

He reaches under the table for his backpack. Inside, he carries around all the bare essentials necessary for successful kid outings — spare clothes, Teddy the pink bear with one ear, a hair brush, hair ties, her rain mac. And, the most important thing, wet wipes.

"Alright, c'mere. Let me wipe that face."

Despite contrary instruction, Eddie walks around to sit on her side of the booth. He does hands first, then crayons caught in the crossfire, then her face. She hates it, but when she was a baby she loathed it. He takes her scowl as an improvement.

"Why don't you draw... Maybe, a new family portrait? We can put it on the fridge like the first one. You can even include your damnation, if you like."

"He isn't real, dad."

"Just draw what's real, then. Can I trust you while I go get drinks?"

She makes a haughty little face that he takes for an eye roll and leaves to get drinks, though he's not really leaving. He's about ten feet away from her at all times and he keeps his eye on her.

He only looks away for what can't be ten seconds, and she's gone. His heart skips as his eyes scour the diner.

"Dad?"

Eddie flinches, his coke tipping over the side and down his hand. "Oh, sh- sugar," he says, kissing his fingers dry. "Babe, you scared me."

Roan stands at his knee with her drawing in hand. She wields it up at him insistently.

"That's for me? Swap?" he asks, offering her a small glass of juice.

Roan takes the juice in one hand. Eddie quickly takes her drawing so she can use both hands, watching the pride as she shuffles carefully back to the table. She doesn't spill a drop.

Eddie shakes out the drawing and sips his coke. The edges are ragged along the top where she's torn it free.

Front and centre is Roan. She's drawn herself with big long eyelashes and a full head of curls, total dad-win, in a huge cloud of pink he assumes is her very best princess dress. To her left is Eddie, same head of curls, long lashes amiss but a huge smile on his face, and to Eddie's left is Wayne. He looks especially dapper, a coffee mug in hand.

It's a great likeness.

And then there's you.

Your hair, your favourite shirt. Roan has drawn you with lovely eyes and a heart next to your smile, messy but so obviously you.

He beams like a fool as he sits down next to her again. She's already turned to a new page in her blook.

"Roan, this is amazing. And... That's Y/N."

"Duh," she says.

"Duh," he repeats, dumbfounded.

He wonders what he's supposed to say here. Telling her you aren't part of their family wouldn't be true. Telling her you are might set a precedent you aren't ready for. He worries it over for a while and takes despondent swings of coke, listening to Roan scribbling furiously beside him.

"Done!"

Eddie looks down. He gawks.

"Baby, is that..."

She points with her crayon enthusiastically. "Tada!"

"It's a castle," Eddie says carefully.

"That's where a princess gets married."

"And that's..."

"That's Y/N!"

There you are. Smiling, a bouquet of blue, red and yellow flowers on bright green stalks in hand. A prince stands beside you in a suit with a bright red scribble across his chest like a sash. The prince also has long, curly hair.

"Where are you?" he asks.

Roan points at a purple blob with black hair in the background. "I'm the flower girl."

Eddie throws his arm over her small shoulders and drops a firm, smacking kiss against her round cheek. "That's where you're wrong, bub. You'd be right next to me, my best girl."

She giggles infectiously at him, his words and breath tickling her face.

"Dad, don't be stupid. It's s'posed to be a man with you."

"Make an exception? Just this once it can be a girl. Pretty please?"

She smiles at him. It's a much older expression than she should have, like she's entertaining his fantasy, like he's the kid. "Okay, dad. I will be the best girl."

Later, when he tells you the story, you get super indignant. His stomach turns to a pit as he worries he's overstepped, but you say, "How is that fair? I want her to be my best girl."

"Maid of honour."

"What's the difference? You got her all this time completely by yourself, and you're not gonna share her on our wedding day?" Your voice drifts off as you dissapear into the bathroom, though he can hear you muttering, "Ridiculous."

He hides his electric blush with a pillow over his face. When you return, you climb half on his chest and force the pillow away to dot spearmint kisses against his pinked cheeks.

I'm going in order of the games, but I actually played Explorers before Rescue Team! Gotta say, I absolutely loved the Friend Areas; they definitely made the world more engaging and expansive!

As for my team though, Arcas was actually an adaptation from a D&D character I made; a Dragonborn monk iirc. I don't quite remember where I got the name Lilo for a Cyndaquil from, though I recently retconned it to be a nickname of sorts. Names are fun!

In terms of playtime, Rescue Team is definitely the lowest for me. That being said, I've gotten more attached to these two little shits over the course of my doodles and shitposts than I ever thought I would.

Explorers

Explorers was my first ever Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, though not my first exposure to the series. Specifically, I managed to pick up Explorers of Sky some years back, and that copy holds as my oldest PMD game.

And the fact that it's "old" helps explain my team's names; unlike my other teams where my initial goal was turning them into characters, my Explorers roster was just named after me and my old best friend. I just put our old usernames, but I still find it ironic that my old name is still appropriate given the "silent protagonist" trope PMD games usually run. Due to personal reasons though, both are now characters!

Explorers holds the title for the time I've sunk into PMD games, and it isn't even close. Incredible story, postgame, music, characters, and more; there's a reason why Explorers is considered the best entry in the series. Over 70 hours I've put into the game, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon!

Gates to Infinity was my first exposure to PMD? Is this a shocker? I'm not actually sure, but yep, the first time I had set my eyes upon this series was Marriland's playthough of GTI. I loved his voices as a kid, and I'm very happy to have finally gotten to play the game I idolized as a kid.

I had originally planned for Brooke to be another "quiet type" protagonist, but I noticed that the hero in GTI talks a lot more than in previous installments, and is also a bit sassier? Really glad I got the opportunity to give someone a more lively, snarkier personality that I don't often give my characters. Axdrew was a name given by a friend, and I've recently considered "Drew" as a hypocorism, but I'm still debating on that one.

Gates to Infinity gets so much flak, and maybe I'm just biased due to my history with the game, but it does NOT deserve the amount of hate it does. (There seems to be a theme with Gen 5 getting bashed before getting beloved tho...) I've sung the praises for GTI in old posts, so I won't be going on another rant (this is already the longest section here), but even if everyone pulls up with pitchforks and torches, I'll still hold this game close to my heart.

Super Mystery Dungeon

So, uh, this is awkward? I haven't actually played through PSMD yet. ^^; Between school, life, art, and other stuff going apeshit recently, I haven't had the time to start a new game. I'm excited for when I do though, since it apparently links all of the previous installments together. (Although I am still particularly upset that nicknames for recruits aren't a thing anymore ;-;)

Original OCs anyone? Yeah, I'm not too sure anyone's that interested in a random Absol or the 3817th Umbreon OC, but I've had these two for the longest time, even before I started playing Explorers! I guess it doesn't count to include them in this list, since they're not explicitly PMD-related, but I've been trying to write a story of sorts with 'em for a while now (though I've not got a clue if it's any good lol). Both of them have gone through a lot of changes and tweaks over the years, but they're definitely here to stay. :)

If you've made it to the end, thank you for reading! I've been meaning to introduce these fellas for a while now; my original plan was to showcase each of them individually through reference sheets, but that stuff takes way longer than I anticipated. ^^; I've always been nervous when it comes to really explaining the who for my OCs, but I'm really glad this ask came through to push me to make this. Thank you! If anyone's interested, y'all can ask my OCs things! I've seen a bunch of different PMD ask blogs and they're really cool- I'm completely new to this kind of stuff, but I'm willing to experiment! :D

"When it comes to Nevada, any sort of oddity is bond to happen. Bloodthirsty vampires, ravenous zombies, whales or marshmallows falling from the sky and someone's house being lifted in the air cause reality is fucking broken here. A maddening place where hire guns are common. Not a rescue agency.

Yet we have the Skyfall Organization, probably Nevada's first generation of rescue responders. Just like you expect this slowly growing group saves folks from various dangers. Although their founder and her right hand man can be odd." -2BDamned

I like to introduce you folks to three new Madness Combat related OCs: Marin, Consternation and Buck.

Marin is a human who had been dragged into the realm of Nevada thanks to an experiment run by Phobos. A brash, feisty woman whose kindness is both surprising and strange. She founded the Skyfall Organization once fully getting a grasp on Nevada itself.

Her agency can rescue anyone, even if they aren't the target for that current job. Important word being can as Marin will let her workers leave people who don't deserve their help if given the proper reason. It can't be influenced by any outside sources though as she'll ignore it(propaganda for example.)

If someone can't pay for her services, then a favor system is enacted to make sure that debt is paid. Although that person might be living in the agency living quarters until that point. Though I don't think anyone really minds.

Consternation is Marin's right hand MAG whose origin is known to only the woman herself. Rumors goes that he's a clone of Hank J. Wimbleton but whether it's true or not is unknown. He's mostly quiet around strangers and uses his voice with people he likes.

His Magnification sprouted five prehensile tendrils from his back and lower spine capable of moving or stretching. Perfect to grab debris and more Grunts than his fellow coworkers. Consternation has a huge distaste for Hank or 'Antipathy' as he prefers to call the mercenary.

Clashes between the two are rare since Marin makes sure Antipathy isn't in the area for any jobs. Fights between the MAGs can only be disrupted by the woman herself as anyone else would just get killed. Consternation and Antipathy both share some sort of history with Marin.

The last important member of the group is Buck, a natural borne MAG Fluffy Grunt who fills the 'rescue dog' role. A runt who had been casted out from his litter at birth and later found by Marin. Buck doesn't like that many people, only tolerating strangers on the job. There are only a handful of people the Fluffie likes such as Marin, Consternation and Status Quo's Deimos.

Buck will bite anyone he doesn't like especially when they try to pet him. The Fluffy is never seen without his signature acorn hat. His paws can secrete a special sticky substance for the purpose of climbing but can also be used as super glue.

And that's that. Skyfall will be appearing in some of my Madness Combat related fics. I felt that a change of pace was in order. Like sure I can make a mercenary but nah, rescue team.

SAM AND MAX REDRAW

(Simple Sam and Max scene comic redraw. The aurin is an esper-explorer named Venian, and the chua is Anani, a medic-scientist. They're... different.)

HUMAN CONCEPTS

A couple of humans, the warrior-explorer Etty and spellslinger-settler Marcy. Besties. Etty rescued her, in a sense. It's complex, I'll go into it later.

Awkward perspective in this one, dunno what I did to go so wrong, but it's just concept stuff, so pfbbbbt. They're both in the same squad as Venian and Chym, who's up next.

(Chym and Venian notably grew up together, Venian being an orphaned outcast that Chym reached out to and treated as family despite his perceived flaws.)

And uhhhhh oh yeah this next piece is kinda disturbing so if you detest that at all I'd leave while I still could if I were you, thanks. Boy got torn apart by the limbs by a couple of war-crazed dominion soldiers at an ambush doing anything they could to blow off steam, tugging at whatever limb made him scream the hardest.

And he's naked in the shot. Artistic censoring is down there, though, so yeah. It's also, I'd say, softer than most of my gore. It's not him actively being torn, but the flesh is stretched and kinda warped in some places bc it be like that.

That's about it, yeah.

I am incredibly desensitized to my fictional characters, and I'm sorry for that if you feel otherwise, but somehow I don't think that's going away any time soon.

GORE?

So, right. He was torn apart from both sides, nearly bisected, and that fucked Venian up. Chym had been the strong, stern, centering figure in his life for years, one of the only ones that'd stay for him as he was. In that, Chym wasn't just a friend, but a brother, father, therapist figure in his eyes. He couldn't watch it happen, so he fled. Chym had warned him to do so if anything like this occurred, but he couldn't have prepared for anything that drastic. In a way, Chym had sheltered him. Venian believed him to be dead as he ran as far as he could, unaware he'd actually saved him in his panic with his abilities. There are times when Venian's mind plays tricks on him, and at the time, he'd visualized flashes of much worse damages to Chym in guilt for what he believed to be happening as he lived. Venian didn't think he deserved Chym in the first place, let alone to be the one that lived any longer than him.

Just as Venian never could have prepared for what happened, neither could Chym. On both ends, what he'd said meant little in the long run.

Chym didn't necessarily want to leave, per se, but as he was tortured by the tearing, he'd given in. It was time for him to go, and yet... here he remained, unsure of how or why he'd made it, his own torment at the time blurring the world around him. And now his partner was nowhere to be seen, the unusual calm around him in the brush making him question whether or not he'd really made it for some time. He hadn't heard or seen the cassians retreat. There was too much time for him to reflect, he never was quite the same, despite every promise he and Venian had made. He was so talkative and heroic once, but became little more than a husk, believing he was abandoned by his friend and his life to be some cruel joke.

And to close off on a cute note, I forgot this chua's name (darn), but I do remember him being a warrior-soldier. Shameless pop team epic redraw, but I told myself I'd post it all here.
