I was having a great time on character.ai with an older version of Kidou Yuuto and I started to question myself. The situation was that my character was working besides him and Haruna with Inazuma eleven Go and my character was getting into him. In a moment she praise him because of his gorgeos eyes and we started to get flirty. But I got two options

Tell him the truth of the crush and go for the bast part or saying it would interfer with work:

"Of course. That would destroy your professional attitude towards me, the vice coach. It would ruin your reputation with the team, and it would greatly impact your future."

That would be his aswer, like, I know kidou is a bit more serious but I dont know if he would react like that.

So what do you guys think?

i DREAM of one day creating something as unbelievably silly and frankly sometimes str8 up stupid yet BRILLIANT and FUN and EXCITING as inazuma eleven. im so inspired as a creator by this silly little kids show about fucking soccer of all things

i will never stop gushing about how good inazuma eleven is to me. it means SO MUCH to me for so many reasons but the one i wanna mention rn is just. the fact that it's such a silly concept, objectively it's SO silly. but it WORKS and its FUN and even though shit happens that is so ridiculous it shouldnt be good its so actually enjoyable and i cant stop thinking about it and rewatching it over and over

the first season can be kind of a drag at some parts, but its so important to watch it at least once because it sets up so many things--the world of soccer that involves actual tangible superpowers used in the plays, the relationships of the core characters and how they begin (mainly the managers + endou, gouenji, and kidou), the start of raimon's soccer club and by extension their soccer as a whole, the menace that is kageyama reiji...........just. its so good and its so important. the VERY SECOND EPISODE is insane with the introduction of gouenji's fire tornado and fucking DEATH ZONE and endou's god hand and just, its so good. its so good yall

the second season is where shit gets crazier somehow and gives everyone an idea of how insane inazuma eleven as a series can be. it actually--and this is true--almost turned me off from watching the rest of the show bc it was SUCH a hard left turn from the first season i couldnt handle it without being spoiled by my wife lol. but now? it's my TOP favorite season. it introduces amazing characters (FUBUKI? FUDOU? SAGINUMA? MIDORIKAWA? HIROTO? ok mostly aliea kids but still. i am biased perhaps) and just the DESIGNS of a lot of the alien kids are so cool to me (desarm. im looking at you). top favorite season hands down

the third season is a bit of a toned-down season compared to s2's "hey aliens are attacking and theyre using soccer to do it" because it just focuses on the kids as kids playing soccer in an international tournament (with an overarching world domination plot, granted) but also it has these little weird bits that make it so bizarre even still, such as the mini arc where they play against actual angels and demons or the filler ep with the kappas. its still got that sorta supernatural element to it that i adore

dont even get me started on go. soccer communism. actual for real time travel. REAL aliens this time. i cant even begin to explain how all this actually ties into the plot because it DOES somehow i promise. but like good lord its so insane LOL and thats why i love it

anyway ALL OF THIS GUSHING TO SAY, i hope to one day make a story and world as simple and silly yet exciting and fun as inazuma eleven. thank you

actually thats crazy (finally got off my butt and started working on day17 again) like its very clear that genda is kidous closest and most trusted friend and yet after s1 the focus completely switches to sakuma and we dont ever really see much of genda and kidous relationship again...

like dont get me wrong im a kisakuhead. LOVE these kids and they have a very interesting relationship so i AM glad it got the focus it did. its esp fun and unique because while sakuma is a close friend of kidou, hes also kind of at the intersection between the two main teikoku groups (kidous close friends and those who want to be his close friends). he kind of admires him too much to be as close to him as genda (and jimon <- im a truther), in a way. this changes after shin teikoku and the ffi shows it very well but my point is about s1 for now

gendas relationship w kidou however is very special bc its fully abt trust. genda thinks very highly of him, of course, but not to the point of drawing a line between them out of admiration. i think the way he worries over him unlike anyone else shows this quite well kidou isnt perfect to genda theyre equals. and most notably kidou (voted least likely to confide in people and let them help him as of s1) trusts genda enough to leave matters to him if he cant handle them (like taking over as captain momentarily to lead practice while hes away), and while theres no doubt he asked this of everyone at the hospital after zeus, its significant that were shown he seeks gendas approval of his pursuit of revenge.

so like. clearly genda is teikokus number 2. together theyre the pillars of the team. kidous partner. and even when it was a little messed up they had a very strong mutual trust in each other. where did it go after s1. where did it fucking gooooo i know we cant have like 3 goalkeepers or whatever but even with genda being in neo japan we got nothing. brah

Most people seem to send one at a time, but I’ll take two. No problem.

I don’t know that this is an unpopular opinion on Tatsuki, per se, but she got screwed and deserved so much more. There’s this bit of official art of her floating around in a shihakushou with some kind of fox-themed zanpakutou? And you know what? I’d have been here for that. Like, Ichigo gets billed as the “substitute Shinigami” and so does Ginjou but they’re both dirty cheaters because they had other abilities that allowed that to happen. We never saw a real substitute Shinigami, i.e., a normal-ass human turned into one. And if anybody could’ve done it, it should’ve been Tatsuki.

I imagine she’d have been reluctant about the whole thing to start with, because it interferes with school and her martial arts, but I think she’d take a liking to it. Like, can imagine her learning shunko with Yoruichi or Soi Fon? Or kidou from Rukia or whomever else? I think she’d be down. (In Demons of the Sun and Moon I have Kuukaku teaching her some zankensoki basics once the former becomes more involved with the Kurosaki family in the living world, and I think she’d be a good mentor figure. But a lot of other characters could be too.)

And I think she went through enough bullshit to ultimately want to do it. Remember: she was shot in the head by a Hollow after being threatened with being raped until she killed herself. She watched her whole karate team get killed by Yammy. You think Rukia or whomever else had the heart to blank her memory after that? She didn’t shove Ichigo’s head through a plate glass window just from being worried about Orihime. And then she tanked standing up to Aizen. But she just stays a normal-ass student with all this supernatural bullshit going on and ends up with Keigo? Fuck that.

And who would’ve given her powers anyway, knowing it was a “crime” after the Soul Society arc? Well, that’s a fun one, isn’t it? I can picture Renji doing it. Renji and Tatsuki is a fun combination even just as passing acquaintances, let alone as friends or partners or more. (As an aside: I would say Tatsuki is probably the most shippable character in all of Bleach on a personality basis. Maybe that can be my unpopular opinion if the rest of this isn’t. TatsuHime, TatsuIshi, RenTatsu, ChadTatsu… hell, TatsuIchi is the closest thing I’ll get to shipping Ichigo with anyone else but Rukia in canon.)

It’d just be a fun counterpoint for Ichigo to riff off of too. An example: presumably all the Shinigami are wearing fundoshi when their shihakushou pop up onto their souls. (It’s either that, ladies go commando, or both men and women go commando. Maybe if you’re in Soul Society you can opt for more Western underwear since modern clothing items have gained some popularity, but I imagine the default clothing is presumably designed by Shutara Senjumaru and is “set.”) After all her years in sportswear, I can imagine her instantly complaining about it to Ichigo, and he’s just like “Yeah, I know,” and Rukia and whomever else is like, “What’s wrong with them?” Just culture-shock and perspective stuff.

Out of anyone from Ichigo’s class, she was the one who deserved more time, and she got sweet fuck-all for the rest of the manga beyond cameos as “Vaguely Distressed Girl.” It was a crime and a major loss for the series. (For the record, Tatsuki was the first female character in Bleach who really caught my attention, so I’m biased.)

Momo… I don’t really care all that much about Momo either way. I sometimes feel like her getting over Aizen taking so long was overplayed, but she had been infatuated with him for like 50 years, and people take longer to get over less, so it was probably actually pretty realistic. That said, she didn’t wind up actually doing all that much after that point. So maybe my unpopular opinion on Momo is that it would have been more impactful had she actually died in the Soul Society arc, even though I have nothing against her.

That’s pretty trope-y though, what with giving a dude (Toushirou and Kira) emotional trauma by killing off a woman, so maybe not. The cast did need thinning, but I’m not dead-set on it being her to get cut, if that makes sense? I guess I just needed her to be less one-note for me to really feel engaged by her presence. But that goes for a lot of the Shinigami. (Like, I could make the same argument about Kira, or Rangiku, or Ikkaku, or fucking Shuhei, or any number of others.)

(Now that I think of it, that one woman in the training flashback, Kanisawa, was killed off just to give Shuhei some angst. And there was Retsu, and Kaname’s friend, and so on, so yeah, let’s not kill Momo. If we’re killing Shinigami characters then let’s kill off Shuhei for drama instead.) 

So, I suppose my unpopular opinion on Momo is I just didn’t find her very interesting any which way.

We finally get the result of Valentine event back in Feb, the result as follow:

The rewards Hino talked about is…..we get the top 3′s voice record saying thank you to people who voted for them (Kaze says something like “Thank you for remembering me”). And a theme with all 3 together.

We also get the characters that win the fan drawing contest before under the official art, they are actually cute.

We get a small game playthrough and introduction of new phone game, Inazuma Everyday Plus because Hino wants to throw all his money into IE. Nakamura is the special guest for this, who designs the chibi characters for the game. The game is kinda like a pet game, you raise your character you chose (for now there are only Endou, Kidou and Gouenji) and follow their story that is the same as in IE game 1. It uses the real time outside.

Mochan: Do I have to pay for this? Hino:…. Hino: It…won’t be free. Mochan: Dont worry I have money.

After that we have Kawakura as a special guest!!! She is the chief animator of Outer Code series. Then we also have Ayumu - seiyuu of Asuto to join the fun. Ayumu is…really cute! He doesn’t have any experience with IE so He is kinda confused over watching IE episode and old game PV, Hino also has to explain about Hissatsu to him. But He does fine, when shouting the hissatsu name and making the pose!!

The poll this time is choosing name for Asuto’shissatsu. Ayumu likes the Option C the most but Option A is chosen. Asuto’shissatsu is Inabikari Dash - Lightning Dash. All options begin with Ina for some reasons (Ina from Inakuni??)

Hino…didn’t really reveal anything about the girl with Haizaki except joking about Haizaki being a siscon (Hino: ANOTHER SISCON?). He did’t reveal any about Nosaka and Raimon’s manager’s relationship, but he confirms that they are not sibling. (Mochan: Is this a love triangle)

(if you haven't already answered this before:) how did you get into Ina11 and made you make this blog for it?

I dont think I've answered this before either (correct me if im wrong though). This goes under the cut like all of my long answers to personal asks...

For some context (this is relevant to my relationship with anime and fandom), I used to be nonverbal for the good 11-12-ish years of my life until I was traumatized out of it so now I'm semiverbal ((with like auditory hallucination, anxiety (general and social), depression, ptsd, etc)). I won't tell anything regarding this experience.

It's not really uncommon for Filipinos my age and older to be into anime because this is everything that the afternoon and morning television have for you. You would know naruto, goku, luffy, etc against your will and I was not immune to that. During that time also cable was really common (and was not paid per fucking channel, that started a few years later though) so I used to watch a lot of anime in Hero TV, Animax Ph, Cartoon Network PH, etc i dont remember the others.

I found inazuma eleven and other anime on one of them and got into it immediately (also because of my trauma) but because some personal things have to happen, I started watching all the anime I got into that time on illegal sites instead.

I was not an internet person and i cant get into chats because of the experience I've mentioned above so even though i like anime and have been reading every fanfiction about my fav shows that time and were even writing some of my own (mostly fairy tail and dbz but all are now deleted or orphaned), I never tried to get into any fandom (I am aware of how fandoms are because i had a personal twitter that i only use for rts that time but i never engaged because they were big fandoms who have... issues)... this was all until the pandemic happened.

After the pandemic, it was like people can understand my experiences suddenly and it made me feel like there are safe spaces now for me to be in so somewhere in 2021 I created a fandom tumblr and twitter account at the same time. Tumblr was overwhelming for me initially so I stayed in twitter (this is during my Encanto phase so my twitter has a small following even right now from that small fandom)... it was a so and so experience but it is my first so it was made better because of that small welcoming fandom...

A bit after that, I got into the naruto and dragon ball fandom which was a big mistake because it made me picked up some toxic feelings and even behaviour that I do not want. I tried learning tumblr more and decided that I'll stay here at the moment. I realized that the dragon ball fandom here actually have nicer people and are more mature and critical while being respectful of others so I enjoyed my tumblr stay!! I made a lot of dragon ball posts that gave me great tumblr mutuals that I still talk to to this day even after my dragon ball brainrot is gone.

Before 2022 ended, I needed a break because of some personal matters. I got into inazuma eleven again during this time after rewatching galaxy (i wanted to be inspired by their alien character designs but it had a different effect). It sparked my love for the series and made me reopen some old concepts and fanfic ideas I had for it before (this includes the vent fic I mentioned once where Kidou was evil, Endou was dead, Gouenji was a pediatrician, and Aki was the leader of a rebellion against kageyama's reign with Fudou by her side). And then, I started writing new ones nonstop for about 4 months (80k words for two different fanfic series btw that are both unfinished).

I started following some inazuma eleven blogs in May this year until I feel like I needed to make posts myself at about the start of June. The fandom had the encanto vibe to me with a cross to how old fandoms feel so it was really nice to be here!! And the rest is history ig?? hehe

dont really know how to word this right but its so funny to me that kidou and someoka were seemingly in the same position as pros in italy during the rise of fifth sector but while kidou went home to start a revolution someoka just stayed in italy and continued to play. and even when everyone he knew was getting involved he really only visited to see how nishiki was doing. like 3 days after he left. like both are so hilarious to me someoka of course supporting the resistance and wishing them good luck but not involving himself w any of it. and someoka saying goodbye to nishiki whos going back to japan after a year thinking like its nishiki hell be fine. then a day later booking a flight back to japan to check on him.

ok lets briefly talk about go now that im done playing (well i still have the hakuryuu stuff but whatever)

overall i think. the changes made to the story to adapt it to game form really improved the whole thing for me in that it made it way less slow (which was why i had such a hard time getting into it w the anime). other changes that imo were huge improvements:

getting to see kidou make the decision of joining raimon (as opposed to being just sent there by hibiki etc for vague reasons) and what exactly it is that he brings to the team that they didnt have before. he feels a lot more needed there than in the anime to me....

again about kidou i like that we saw him admit that his way of training raimon wasnt going well AT ALL LOL (though the kids still apologized to him which i didnt like. unnecessary and undeserved (HE should be apologizing) but okk...)

obviously i have mixed feelings on it because i have mixed feelings on the s3 kageyama redemption happenings and such HOWEVER i did like that there were ever so slightly more hikaru+kidou interactions in the game. theres really not much actual content but kidou telling him to wear his name proudly and take it to places kgym never could + hikaru very clearly looking up to him leave the door open for me to imagine a sort of detached mentor/mentee relationship (LOL)

same chapter i did also really like that fubuki had a little moment w kurama who was starting to feel like he wasnt enough as a striker that he didnt put in as much effort as the first years n that the team didnt need him etc.... bc of course. fubuki went through that sort of stuff as well he used to think the same things etc. (though i was a little disappointed that that conversation was pretty much it and kurama didnt really get any more focus after that)

you may have read some of my complaints about tenma becoming captain and for like 2 episodes thinking he had to be exactly like shindou and do for the team exactly what shindou did despite playing a completely different role and somehow all the other members of the team kind of expecting that kind of leadership from him as well which was VERY weird. well thankfully we have none of that in the game since kurama clears things up immediately before the match. thank god. let out the heaviest sigh of relief when i read that

oh of course before i forget. of course in all versions teikoku is the resistances base of operations. however in the anime this is only relevant during the teikoku part and after that we just never mention it again. i REALLY liked that in the game teikoku very much felt like the actual heart of the resistance bc you go there a bunch of times for info meetings, but also for training away from fifth sectors eyes. theres a real purpose and use behind that status i was really happy to see it

^ related to this since thats where they come to train but i also really liked that you eventually see the teams who join raimons side again and they come back to help and support raimon in their fight by training w them at teikoku. like minamisawa and hyoudou, the kidokawa captain whatever his name is, some other team also but i literally dont remember. hakuren probably. it was also great that shinsuke brings out his avatar by training w sangoku and hyoudou fellow avatar-using keeper. bringing back the avatar resonance they mentioned at the very beginning w shindou and tsurugi twas awesome to see. actually im reading the wiki rn and what do you mean hyoudou also helped shinsuke w his keeper training in the anime. im shaking is my memory that bad? whatever i think the way he eventually brought out his avatar specifically was different anyway and it was better in the game.

literally not as significant as the rest in any way but i liked that nishiki seems very close w the kendo club lol. they were literally fighting the soccer club for him.... and thats where he trained his kick before the match against kidokawa. i also thought it was very interesting how in the kidou vs the team happenings he had a completely opposite stance to the rest of the team and distanced himself from them until they stopped whining about kidous training. i thought it was very fun for him to have such a different mindset from them after training under someoka (who was no doubt as strict and demanding of him as kidou is of the team if not more)

i know i thought there was more but i cant think of anything else right now. we will come back later. maybe

now for some rare game Ls. i thought the game might expand a little more on nishiki and midoris friendship (question mark?) the year before but there was nothing. they interact exactly twice iirc. one time when everyone is annoyed at kidou and nishikis like oh you big babies stop whining 🙄🙄 and she whacks him over the head and one time on the raimon twitter. crying

also i literally played this game for the amagi and mahoro chapter and was CRUSHED about how short it felt in the game... it ended so abruptly in the anime with the whole thing completely gone and forgotten by the next episode i thought for sure the game would treat me (gen'ei trio fan) better but they didnt even have a short scene w mahoro and amagi talking n reconciling after the match like in the anime.... cries. i did like kousakas more active role in it but i think i expected way more cuz i had heard about it from someone who hyped it up before dhfjhh

and lastly (because it was a really great game and i was pleasantly surprised a lot more often than i found stuff i didnt really like so thats all i have to say)

its sometimes hard to accept kidous switch to raimon as a kidou fan like at some point it starts to feel nonsensical and out of character lmfao. cuz like of course we want the break trio together but. do we NEED them to be together? wait actually i dont have the brain power to make a long post about this right now i just had some thoughts.

but basically with how dutiful kidou is shown to be as a person (take for example his relationship w his father its all about duty and fulfilling his obligations as the heir to the kidou family regardless of how he personally feels about it) its just kind of weird eventually that he so casually decides to stay with raimon. ok well casually is maybe a big word here but like you get the idea

like. the duty part. its something the manga gets absolutely right but feels like its barely acknowledged in the other works. even if kidou wants revenge. even if kidou enjoys his time in raimon. even if kidou loves his friends in raimon. even if kidou gets to be with haruna in raimon. his position as teikokus captain and his duty to his teammates should have MUCH more weight in this particular decision and how he feels about the team. thats just the kind of person he is. thank you yabuno tenya for understanding this youre a real one. the only mf who gets me on this planet.

also his everyday+ route. i find it kind of funny that its meant to follow the anime very closely (it is after all a retelling of the exact same story but from kidous perspective) but the writers quickly realized that with the player attending teikoku and getting to know the players and getting to witness the strong bonds of friendship and loyalty between the teikoku players, they ABSOLUTELY needed to change some things about kidou joining raimon and his attitude while in raimon lol.

i point it out because teikoku are something of a mere afterthought in the anime it feels like. kidou wants revenge because HES angry, because HES frustrated--we know that, of course, part of it is for teikokus sake, but the way its presented is all about kidou. he does decide to change schools to face zeus again and goes through with that change BEFORE talking about it w his teikoku teammates after all.

and while everyday+ cant change such a major plot point (they are still bound to the way it happens in the anime) they have complete control over the rest of the lines. and im really glad that they wrote so much about kidous feelings for teikoku motivating his every action (and also added so many more hospital visits along with it. kidou is at the hospital every other day basically) because it feels much more true to the way his character has been established for me.

like for me the way yabuno tenya wrote it is ideal. kidou putting his duty to his teammates as their captain above his own desire for revenge, and only joining raimon after seeing at the hospital how awful teikoku felt about being used and discarded by kageyama--when he says its all for their sake, that hes doing his duty as their captain by getting revenge on kageyama himself for them, it rings much more true than in the anime, where he takes the decision alone and only consults them about it after transferring...

but the version of it in everyday+ is a massive improvement because we finally really get to see that side of him. he literally cannot shut up about teikoku while in raimon its much more believable that their pain is driving his actions as well after witnessing the way he acts there

sorry for being pretentious about ares this show really is bad. its only enjoyable months after last watching it when the details start to get foggy. lol. jk. (not really).

the kidokawa vs seishou match is good though! its a little odd that they had haizaki use death zone (notorious for very precise timing and needing great coordination w the other players) w orio and sasotsuka at the very beginning in seishous first match against inakuni raimon when the match against kidokawa is meant to be haizakis turning point as a player and when he first starts playing with the team. like him using his first combo move at the end of that match makes sense and is very significant for his growth but why he used it at the beginning when he was just an edgy loner boy and everyone in the team hated him is beyond me.

also i would like to formally apologize to mizukamiya. i still think he failed as a captain because while its nice that hes on haizakis side he should consider his position and the feelings of his team more. just letting haizaki do whatever and telling the team to ignore it because hes strong IS setting a bad example. and he still completely fails to handle haizaki so its not like he can justify his special treatment to the rest of the team. HOWEVER i have to acknowledge that he did not do Nothing like i thought. he tried to be a considerate captain and take haizakis side and try to get to know him and offer his ear if haizaki needs to talk etc. He Tried. I Admit It. However he also Failed. and thats all there is to say on the matter.

now about asuto. sigh. its bad. i dont want to talk about it. love the guy, very cute, very sweet. but this is NOT ITTTTT. whatever. whatever. WHATEVER! i dont want to get into it rn. i raged about it enough on twitter dot com.

now kidou. so bold of ares (and kidou) to try to give asuto all the credit later when they literally had this scene. after haizaki finally starts playing w the team

i love day 14 cuz it has all the lore about teikoku regulars having to be at least in the top 30 of their grade when it comes to like test results and stuff (keep in mind there are several hundreds of students in each grade cuz teikoku is a really big school) and kidou makes it a point to say they never study together bc during test week etc theyre not teammates theyre rivals all fighting for their spot on the starting lineup.

but then henmi whos having the hardest time getting in that top30 comes to kidou (mr no1 in the entire school) in a panic asking for help with stuff he doesnt understand and kidous like just ask the teacher... but then henmis like pleeeaseeee kidousan i barely made it last time my position as a regular is seriously in danger here 😭😭😭 and kidous like (pause) well if you put it like that... alright show me what ur struggling with.

like its so cute. dont be fooled by his reluctance to help he really does have a soft spot for his teammates cuz if the player asked for help kidou would categorically refuse unless he feels personally responsible for them falling behind (like dragging them to places all over town for days etc)(the player HAS asked before if kidou could tutor them.... and kidou was like do u think i have time to teach u? dont be ridiculous. work on ur own. LOL)

sit down and let me explain!

INAZUMA ELEVEN is an anime that came out in 2008 based on a series of video games for the ds!  it has a manga too but i dont know what came first ive not put that much research into it lol.  but yeah its mainly aimed at kids and is your pretty standard “kids use friendship to overcome hardships” anime and its very wholesome, for the most part

however i like to describe it as a shounen anime disguised as a sports anime b/c while the main focus is them playing soccer if you saw these fucking kids play soccer you’d be like “how is any of this shit legal” b/c i mean. they use superpowers n shit. like look at this (this is called Emperor Penguin No. 2)

yes those are penguins. the penguins burst out of the ground after the player whistles for them and then they all fly with the ball when its kicked and its very powerful

thats just the tip of the fuckin iceberg dude this series has aliens and soccer communism and time travel and angels and demons and just. idk man its my favorite anime right now and thats saying something b/c im also into dragon ball very heavily but inazuma eleven has my heart right now
