DonnaJean Wilde (Canada) was a teacher for many years at Magrath Elementary and Magrath High School. She also served as Vice Principal at the High School before recently retiring. 12 years ago she fell and broke her wrist and was not able to run or weight train with a cast. She found that she could plank and started to practice, and, after a few weeks, her plank time rapidly increased. Therefore, planking has been part of her regular fitness plan. She planks for 2-3 hours everyday as regular daily exercise.

On the day of her attempt, her family members, including daughters and sons and their spouses, and 12 grandchildren aged from 1 to 12, came together to encourage her. DonnaJean’s husband, Randy, was the main organizer and supporter of this attempt, keeping the supporters engaged and spirits high.

The world record for female plank is 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 22 seconds (DonnaJean Wilde, 58).

The world record for male plank is 9 hours, 38 minutes, and 47 seconds (Josef Šálek, 54).

As a 500+, essentially eternal stud general in peak physical form, Cassian NoLastName, your 5 minutes is abysmal, and I stand by that.

C'mon, Sarah, a Google search during the time of writing could have found anyone else with a time more than 5 minutes!

DonnaJean Wilde, a 59-year-old Canadian grandmother of 12, broke the world record for most push-ups in an hour, completing 1,575 in 60 minutes. 💪

Wilde surpassed the previous record with 17 minutes to spare, cheered on by 11 of her grandkids. She trained with 500 daily push-ups and adhered to strict form guidelines.

Earlier this year, Wilde set the women's planking world record, holding the position for 4.5 hours.
