It stung when Donghun dropped the news. Sure, at first (Y/N) was as excited as Donghun was. He was finally debuting. It only hurt when Donghun said that he needed to move out. The two have been roommates for half a year now and that was enough time for (Y/N) to fall in love with Donghun. But clearly, not enough time for him to confess to the other. (Y/N) was sitting on his bed playing on his phone, Donghun was busy packing up his stuff. (Y/N) had asked if he could help Donghun, but the other had kindly rejected the help. Donghun was supposed to move in tomorrow into a new dorm that he would be sharing with the other members.

The fact that the news came quickly was even more overwhelming than it already was.

(Y/N) let out a sigh after locking his phone. He laid on his stomach doing nothing for a while just thinking about what to do. Well, if he couldn't help Donghun he should at least do something else for him. (Y/N) stood up from the bed and made his way out of the room. Donghun was in his own room packing and (Y/N) smiled seeing the other kneeled down going through his closet.

"Hey." Donghun greeted (Y/N) when he spotted him. "Do you remember this?" Donghun pulled out a bottle, the bottle was made out of glass and it was see through. In the bottle was a ship, well there was supposed to be a full build ship. Of course, (Y/N) remembered the struggle the two have faced trying to build the ship. And he also remembered buying that bottle. Both of them went through the flee market once and they spotted the bottle. They were filled with ambition when they were told that they could build a ship in it. Though this ambition decreased after time when it became extremely difficult.

"How can I ever forget? This ship haunted me in my nightmares. " (Y/N) was now leaning against Donghun's door. One glance at the room Donghun laughed at the response. "I'm serious."

Donghun shook his head with a smile. "I know, I remember you coming into my bed telling me that you couldn't sleep." And of course, Donghun let him sleep next to him. (Y/N) gulped. He did have the nightmare and felt extremely uncomfortable at the thought of sleeping alone. So, (Y/N) decided to go to Donghun's room. He remembered Donghun's sleepy face when he awoke him during that night. Donghun let him sleep in his bed and it didn't help (Y/N) situation at first.

"(Y/N)?" Donghun's husky voice straddled (Y/N). "Sleep."

"I can't." (Y/N) mumbled quietly his heart raging against his chest feeling Donghun's back press against his own. Donghun hummed lightly before he turned around and now Donghun's chest was pressed against (Y/N)'s back. (Y/N) gasped slightly when Donghun also wrapped his arm around his waist. And then, Donghun put his chin on (Y/N)'s shoulder. "D-donghun…" Then Donghun started humming before he started singing softly. It was a gentle lullaby that sent (Y/N) into sleep after a while.

"Y-yeah." (Y/N) rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. Donghun looked down at the bottle again.

"Do you want to keep it?"

"No, it was in your room anyways. Keep it as a memory of you and I." (Y/N) chuckled slightly and Donghun looked up again.

"I don't need a bottle to be reminded of you," Donghun said staring into (Y/N)'s eyes. "But I'll keep it anyway, it was a nice memory." Donghun looked at the bottle again and then smiled sadly. He was going to miss hanging out with (Y/N).

"I'm going to do dinner now." (Y/N) spoke up and got back on his two feet. "I'm going to do the special."

Donghun's eyes widen and excitement was found in them. "Really?"

"Yeah, we have to celebrate, don't we?" (Y/N) raised a brow with a smile on his lips. Donghun grinned widely nodding his head.

"Thank you, (Y/N)-ah!" Donghun called out his voice filled with happiness.

"Anything for you, Hunhun." (Y/N) turned away and made his way to the kitchen. It wasn't a big, but enough to hold to messy people. His special dish took some time to prepare, but Donghun's pleased reaction and praises were worth it. (Y/N) pulled up his sleeves and started preparing the dinner just for Donghun. The dish was always for Donghun, if they didn't live together (Y/N) wouldn't even bother with it.

This was a special day for Donghun and it deserved a special dinner.

Later that day Donghun had taken a break and then helped (Y/N) with dinner. Finally, the dinner had finished and it was obvious from the smell and colors of the food. Donghun looked excited and was practically drooling already.

"Yah!" (Y/N) slapped Donghun's hand lightly when he tried to reach out for the food. "Patients!"

Donghun pouted: "I have been patient for hours."

"You'll get your reward." And Donghun did after they set up the table with plates and drinks. Donghun moaned lightly when the food drowned his tongue. (Y/N) chuckled and rolled his eyes at his roommate. "That good?"

"It's always good." Donghun praised with light in his eyes.

“Well, I’m glad you always like it.” (Y/N) smiled gently getting back to eating his own portion. Donghun then frowned when he finished his plate. “What’s the frown?”

“That you won’t be there to cook it for me,” Donghun replied quietly.

“I’ll cook it for whenever you come visit, okay?.”

“Then I’ll come every weekend,” Donghun said with enthusiasm and (Y/N) grinned.

“You better.”

After dinner both of them cleaned up the kitchen, Donghun did the dishes while (Y/N) dried them and cleaned the table. It was already late and the sun was setting making their apartment reflect with warm colors. (Y/N) and Donghun sat on their orange colored couch with the green color pillows were on Donghun lap.

“I’m gonna miss you.” (Y/N) confessed and Donghun agreed by nodding his head. (Y/N) turned his head watching Donghun stare at the ceiling. The two had their heads laid back on the cushion next to each other. Donghun turned his head to (Y/N) as well their noses almost touching.

“I’ll miss you too, (Y/N).” The boy smiled showing off his braces. “I’ll make sure to visit you often.”

“Please do, even if it’s just because of my food.” Donghun laughed quietly and then threw his arms around (Y/N)’s neck burying his face into the other's neck.

“I’m going to miss you so much, (Y/N).” Donghun whispered his cheeks growing a bit red. (Y/N) was taken back by the sudden affection.

“Donghun.” Then (Y/N) wrapped his arms around Donghun’s back. There was a silence followed afterward, but Donghun didn’t move. Donghun wasn’t an affectionate person, he always was a bit reserved but as time went on Donghun opened up to (Y/N).

“I’m scared.” The voice was quiet, (Y/N) almost didn’t hear it. (Y/N) was about to speak up, but Donghun pushed away and looked down at his lap growing visibly insecure. “What if I’m not good enough?” Still, the voice was a quiet whisper. (Y/N) frowned.

“Where is this coming from? Donghun,” (Y/N) grabbed into Donghun’s hands. “You’re such a talented and beautiful human being. You’re enough-you’re more than enough, Donghun.” At the same time (Y/N) had begun to rub the other’s hand in reassurance. Donghun looked up at (Y/N)’s words.

“You think?”

“No, I know.” (Y/N) was staring into Donghun’s eyes with seriousness. “You and the others have worked so hard for this, I’m so sure that you guys will do great. You’re gonna do great, Hunhun.” The nickname made Donghun smile and the worry in his eyes faded, not all of it. (Y/N) knew that the worry was understandable and he couldn’t push all of it from Donghun’s shoulder. So that is why leaned upward a bit and pressed his lips against Donghun’s forehead. “For good luck.” (Y/N) whispered when he saw Donghun’s expression drop at the kiss. The once pale cheeks turned back to cherry pink and Donghun looked down again. An overwhelming amount of emotions consuming his head and heart. The flustered boy fiddled with his fingers slightly thinking with his heart.

“I’m still nervous.” (Y/N) tilted his head at that confused. Then Donghun looked up again making them on the same eye level. Donghun stared directly into (Y/N)’s eyes and licked his lips nervously. “Oh.” (Y/N)’s mouth gaped slightly at realization. “I-I-“ This time (Y/N) got flustered. Donghun still waited nervously his eyes locked with (Y/N) in anticipation.

(Y/N) gulped, but leaned down again pressing his lips against Donghun’s forehead. This time Donghun’s closed his eyes as the kiss lasted longer. Donghun felt his heart flutter in his chest. The lips moved away from Donghun’s forehead making him yearn for more. He opened his eyes again catching (Y/N) staring at him as well. Donghun squeezed his eyes shut his rational mind trying to take over him but instead, he followed his heart. Throwing his arms around (Y/N)’s neck and leaped forward pressing his lips against (Y/N). At first, (Y/N) couldn’t move an inch his eyes looked like they were about to burst and his heart felt like it would leap out off of his chest. Donghun moved his lips against (Y/N) trying to get a reaction, but when he didn’t he pulled away with his eyes wide as well.

“(Y/N), I-I don’t know-I’m sor-“ (Y/N) shut the stuttering boy by relocking their lips. (Y/N) cupped one of Donghun’s cheeks creasing the warm soft skin and closed his eyes. Donghun melted into the kiss and his eyes fluttered shut as he started kissing back. The kiss quickly got heated when Donghun straddled (Y/N)’s lap to press himself against the other. It was like they were trying to catch up with all the times they have lost. The two parted breathing heavily. Their lips were inches apart and the breaths they breathed out brushed against each other’s skin.

“You know how much I waited for this moment?” (Y/N) softly stroked Donghun’s neck. Donghun tilted his head with his eyes closed enjoying this moment.

“Why didn’t you tell me before?” Donghun asked almost desperately.

“I didn’t know how.” (Y/N) admitted while admiring Donghun’s face. Donghun opened his eyes after a moment of silence. Then Donghun smiled slowly leaning forward their lips inches away from each other and said “Then let’s catch up” before reconnecting their lips.
