So When Did Things Start Going Down Hill
I don't mean everything is shit after this, but things looking back started getting (steadily) worse starting with. Check bottom for more indept view on each option
A) at first I wasn't going to include this one as it happened before most of what I considered shit started happening, but with how much it blatantly favours this lazy-ass child abuser, how could I not include it. And of course, it shows so much evidence that he hasn't changed at all, like only even offering to teach Midoriya and Bakugo to manipulate his favourite victim Shoto
B) when it first happened I was devastated but expected this to lead to greater change to the hero system and society. But no, just a meaningless footnote to the heroes epic battle
C) literally no one questions how a top hero was just so eager to kill someone, or buy a wife, breed her, abuse & neglect his kids to the point one of them was believed dead. Only citizens whining about how Dabi is bad for them
D) here's this apparently big shot hero from the States we've never heard of before and immediately dies. If they wanted to keep Shigaraki from having too many powers they could of just chalked it up to the heroes interupting the process
E) the Todoroki family all blames themselves, this isn't to go into the complexity of abusive households, but to absolve Endeavor's responsibility and guilt. Despite the fact that as the one who created and was in control of this situation, he should be held accountable for theirs as well. The only backlash for his shit is framed as ohh poor Endeavor, he didn't mean for the child he threw away to create consequences, and now people are being mean to them
F) what was the point of this arc? Deku barely asks a villain three questions before giving up. He learns the HPSC had Lady Nagant acting as a secret assassin against any undesireables for them, covered up her arrest and got a replacement assassin (Hawks who has at least one confirmed extra jurdical murder under his belt). Witnesses an innocent woman get attacked for her appearance and was turned away from multiple shelters for said appearance. Deku: Hero Society is the Best, Nothing needs to change, because not every single apple in this basket is rotten to the core! Looking back he just looks worse for this
G) so this child, who due to his parents mistake was blackmailed under great threat & risk, into giving information to the blackmailer, deserves to be chained up and forced to take further risk by the heroes. Remember Endeavor never faces any consequences, nor does Hawks, but this child, Yuga, gets treated like this.
H) once again what was the point? How does Edgeshot know he can do this? How does he know how to do this? Why is he a top hero who has never interacted with Bakugo before this, sacrifices his appearing to be unharmed self, for a random hero student in the middle of a war? Oh and Edgeshot is revealed to be alive at the end of the manga, because Heroes have no consequences and live in magical fairytail land. Again what was the fucking point!
I) This was originally going to be two points, Oh poor Endeavor, victim blaming part 2 and the hospital battle. But I ran out of options and Endeavor doesn't need another personal option. So we got the whole Todofam blaming Dabi/Touya this time, and Endeavor being a whiney responsibility dodging coward again. Then we see the heroes knew that the villains were going to go after Kurogiri, kept him in a hospital. We see that the people aren't going after doctors or patients just trying to get to Kurogiri, get demonized for it. We have victim blamer/ pick-me Tentacole say that their kids will be attacked for this (already happening), and that it's up to them/ him to inspire the violent quirkests to not constantly attack, assualt, and otherwise discriminate against them, no need for the quirkists to be given any responsibility or consequences for their own actions. Oh and Spinner has major brain damage because how else was Tentacole supposed to win this arguement. Bonus points for Hawks calling for Toga to be murdered, doubling right back down on his previous murder
J) in this already overcrowded 3rd act lets make sure all these background characters get a scene! And despite the fact it took years for Deku to get a powersuit in the epilogue, All Might just randomly gets one, no build up or anything. AFO's backstory is left in the past so no one has to consider anything
K) I had hope going into this, but at every turn they kept on making it worse. Deku only tries punching and attacking, rather than make any attempts to actually talk unlike what Shigaraki has been doing since his introduction. Is randomly able to enter Shigaraki's head, doesn't have to see just how fucked Hero Society is as it gets cut short by moral scapegoat AFO coming in and revealing he orcastrated everything! Oh and he flat out kills Shigaraki. Living up to his name and not his goal. Deku that could my ass
Sorry if this comes off as super negative but I've been wondering this for a while, and well I'm pissed at the ending. Here's some people I want to hear the opinions of:
@moodyvoid @nagitosstolenhand @codenamesazanka @shortstrawberryshake @darkonekrisrewrite @nothingofinterest @itsnothingofinterest @villainsandvictimsalliance

sellllllll it's meeeeee. hehehehehehehehehhehe
so for ur writing exercises.... deku + light? please? pretty please?
:3c
heheh heheh hehe niku. this will be the death of me. me writing izuku for the first time 🥲 i will only do this for you </3
contains: established relationship, spoilers for the end of the manga, aged up deku but sometime in between the final outcome (he doesn't get the h*** s*** from bakugo yet), mentions of sex and scars
deku + light
izuku only sleeps with the lights off.
it isn't uncommon; many people you know can't sleep with even just a sliver of light turned on somewhere in the room. but the difference with izuku, you learn, is not that he's unable to stand the light―it's that he refuses to.
you quickly pick up on it the first few times he sleeps over.
he fidgets in bed, pretty badly, actually. the nightlight you sleep with glows a warm yellow, illuminating the side of your face and coating him in its afterglow. you chalk it up to nerves, how he pulls at his sleeves and adjusts his position constantly; he is, after all, one of the most anxious people you know.
and this relationship―it's new. heck, even you feel a little jittery with his arm wrapped around you.
the rhythmic tapping on your hip only increases pace. you don't think he realizes it, so your hand gently reaches for his, intertwining your fingers as you turn around in his arms.
he's close, nearly touching you nose-to-nose; the proximity leaves you fuzzy, a little ticklish, so you giggle, a soft "oops," as the freckles dusting his face almost glisten under the warm light.
"hi," you whisper, meeting his eyes; they stare back at you wide in surprise, "can't sleep?"
he looks almost guilty at your question, as if you’ve caught him with the one thing he's been trying to keep from you.
"just—" his voice comes out louder than intended, prompting him to chuckle nervously as he readjusts his volume, "just winding down, sorry."
you inch closer, nuzzling his nose lightly, "it's okay."
"did i wake you?" he asks, cheeks flushing pink as his eyebrows furrow in immediate concern. his expression is something caught between stifling a grin and feeling sorry.
you shake your head against the pillow you share, strands of your hair tangling with his. "just winding down," you tease, watching as his gaze turns softer, eyelids drooping heavier.
sometimes, you think, izuku holds the world in his eyes―a deep, dark green, the color of life. most times, they look at you with wonderment, bright and alive; photos from inko tell you they're the eyes of his inner child.
on nights like this one, however, they hide a depth in them weighted by what you can only assume is time, and all that has happened to him in such a short span of it.
you try your best to understand what lies beneath them, knowing full well he'll never tell you outright what truly bothers him.
"is it the light?" you bring up, some time after laying in silence.
"hm?" he clarifies.
"do you have a hard time sleeping with the nightlight?"
his eyes widen briefly once more, as if shocked that you've caught him again. these split second reactions are ones you've learned to be attentive to when it comes to izuku.
"no," he tries to lie, but you know better as you turn to your nightstand and reach for its switch, "you don't–"
"it was hurting my eyes," you quickly make up an excuse, tucking yourself closer under his chin as you cut off his attempt to deny it again.
finding out that the light was the problem was the easy part—
you'd begun to notice much earlier on that izuku was barely rested on the nights he'd spend at your place. it was only when your old nightlight broke that you began to notice him waking up much later than you did, groggily rousing from a deep sleep.
—what was hard, was figuring out why.
at first, you suspected it was his scars.
"s-sorry, it's not—" he'd warned you, right as your hands gripped the hem of his shirt the first time you were about to have sex, "—it's not nice."
you didn't care though; you still don't care, and you've made that abundantly clear to him since. you love izuku and all his parts―all the nicks and jaggedy pieces of skin that make up who he is.
when you eventually ask him about it, with a request that he be honest with you for once, he tells you that it is and it isn't―the reason why he exclusively sleeps with the lights off, that is.
it's an odd, comforting relationship he has with his body—that he is simultaneously grateful and sorry for how its become a canvas, both painted and marred to symbolize japan’s historic last stand.
you find out the real reason when you catch him staring at his hands.
he does it often, when he thinks you aren't looking—his fists bunched up in the same way he used to watch the power of one for all course through his fingertips; the same way he used to prepare them in battle.
there’s a faraway look in his eyes that lingers, you notice—a little wistful if anything.
“do you miss it?” you finally ask. he gives you the same shocked look he does every time, as if he’s been caught with a secret he’s been trying to hide.
he’s learned a fair bit about you now, too, though—lying to you is futile when you’ve perfected reading his truth. he stares at his fists again as you take a seat beside him, moving to give you space. you rest your head on his shoulder gently, waiting.
“sometimes,” he admits, but you know it’s an understatement.
“i think about the vestiges a lot. i miss them the most, i think,” he continues, clenching his fists tightly, “i always try to reach out to them, but i guess it doesn’t work that way.”
“i… i try to replicate the right conditions every night, but…” then he lets go, stretching his fingers out wide. the scars on the surface ripple through his skin, telling its own story.
you hum, acknowledging what he means. silence sits with the two of you as you take his hand in yours, slowly unfurling his fingers until his palm reveals itself to you. it’s rough to the touch, seasoned with hard work and all that he’s been through.
“is that why you prefer the dark?” you ask softly, after some time.
it's not often that you stay up later than izuku does. when you do though, you catch him shifting in bed, moving from side-to-side. you pretend you aren't awake, but you hear him mumble their names, dwindling in volume as he dozes off to sleep.
he stares at his palm for a moment before he admits quietly, "yeah." his brows furrow as if contemplating whether to say more, but he shakes his head, dark green strands swaying to the beat of his embarrassed chuckle, "nevermind, it's silly."
"it's not."
you intertwine your fingers, sandwiching his hand between yours. a slight sheen glosses over his eyes as he tilts his head up to look at you. he draws in a breath, before it spills over.
"it's..." he finds the words, and you squeeze his hand in comfort, "it's easier to believe it was all real when the lights are out, and that maybe it can happen again."

A HARD LOSS
Tumblr media
You were pregnant! But how would they react if you had a miscarriage? Would they comfort you?
Characters: Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugou.
Warnings: angst, comfort, aged up characters, miscarriage, pregnant, pro hero!characters x reader.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
- Out of the two of you, Izuku was the most excited. He did everything when you were pregnant. He pampered you, carried you around, did everything he could.
- As soon as he found out about the abortion, his world fell apart. He simply ran away, he just wanted to die. His first instinct was to go to his mother. Where he cried in her arms for hours. After crying a lot, he got a scolding from his mother for leaving you alone at that moment.
- Poor thing, he was so focused on his own suffering that he forgot that you were suffering too. He ran home as soon as your mother delivered some soup she had prepared for you.
- The house was silent. He wasn't used to this silence. Even your cat, who was always running around, was quiet now. As soon as he got to the room, he saw you with your back to the door.
- When he finally looked at your face, he saw nothing. He saw no emotion, even though he caressed your face, you didn't react. You didn't pull away, but the affection no longer seemed to be a source of comfort.
- For the rest of the day he did everything, fed you, brushed your teeth, bathed you and put you to bed. He could see how affected you were.
- You only got out of bed after Izuku called Uraraka, Mina, Jirou and Momo. And you didn't even do much, you were silent most of the time you spent with them.
- He decided that you should go to therapy. He knew that this wouldn't be easy to overcome, there would always be a scar deep in your hearts marking what happened. But he would do his best to always be by your side. And maybe, in the future, you would try again.
Tumblr media
- It may not seem like it, but it was a horrible loss for him. Even though he always complained about every useless thing you bought, he wanted to be a father. And when he found out you were in the hospital, he was desperate.
- When he saw you, in that hospital bed, he almost collapsed. He saw you sleeping, calmly, as if nothing had happened.
- As soon as the doctors told him what happened, a part of him died. He just sat down and broke down, he cried silently.
- To the surprise of many, he ended up calling Deku to help. When Izuku arrived at the hospital, he didn't ask many questions, he went to your house to separate some clothes for you and Katsuki. And when he brought them, he ended up seeing the blond break down. He didn't know what it was like to lose a baby, but he did everything he could to be there for the blond, even if the support meant staying silent by his side.
- As soon as you woke up, his first instinct was to hug you. He didn't know how you would react, if you would cry, get angry, or throw things at him. But to his surprise, you didn't react. You didn't cry, you just looked at the doctor and said nothing.
- But for the rest of the time in the hospital, you barely ate. Katsuki even tried to get you to talk, but he realized that he wouldn't get anything out of you. Even when you got home, little changed, you stayed in bed most of the time. Luckily, you got time off work because of what happened, that made him less worried.
- He got tired of it after 1 week of you being home. He did everything he could to get you out of bed, he even tried to force you.
"(Name), get out of bed..."
No answers. This irritated him, you had lost the baby! Would you just stand there without reacting? Without saying anything??
"(Name), I won't say it again, get up!"
He spoke more angrily this time. He ended up pulling you by the arm to try to pull you out of bed. But all he heard was crying.
"LEAVE ME ALONE! IS IT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND THAT I DON'T WANT TO TALK?!"
You screamed and turned your back to the blond. He was in shock, it was the first time in days that you had said anything. But instead of fighting, or anything else. He simply hugged you from behind. It didn't take long for him to feel you turn around and start crying on his chest. You stayed like that for hours.
- You hugged for hours. He did everything he could to make you feel comfortable, and he also apologized, obviously, for fighting with you.

I was going to do more, I swear. But my creativity died. So, hope y'all like it.

As anti BKDK & anti Bakugou, can I ask why you hate him and Aizawa so much (at least I get it why you dislike Endevour)? Yes, Bakugou was bad at first, but he grew as character. Now, he is one of the best anime/manga character ever. When he 'died', many anti Bakugou overjoyed, but he came back alive !!
Why do you thing Bakugou as a character is so popular (beloved by non shippers and shippers)?
Are you anti BKDK because you dislike mlm shipping?
Thanks for your blog, I don't like to say rude things just because of fandom and fictional characters, but can I ask why you dislike Bakugou so much when he changed so much? Like, his devotion to Midoriya is real and he truly is a hero.
(Hope you don't mind to have follower who is Bakugou fan and BKDK shipper)
I have made a lot of posts about why I hate Bakugou.
It's not because he's a bad person. A bad person can be a great character. Shigaraki is one of my favorite characters in the series. I have a lot of issues with Bakugou as a character, not a person.
A big issue is probably how everyone treats him, especially in comparison to other characters. Bakugou can be as callous and spiteful as he wants and so many characters trip over themselves to praise him. Aizawa (I'll get to him in a second), All Might, and the other teachers don't see fit to correct his behavior, even when he's been violent towards his other classmates (mainly Izuku). Worse, Aizawa outright favors him.
Bakugou punched Izuku during the Final Exam and refused to cooperate. What did Aizawa do? Nothing. He passed him even though he failed Sero, who sacrificed himself to save Mineta. He doesn't even scold Bakugou for this even though he scolded Uraraka and Aoyama during the Training Camps.
Monoma isn't even half as bad as Bakugou. At worst, he gives 1A a hard time occasionally. But 1A absolutely can't stand him. Bakugou's friends- Kirishima and Sero- are Monoma's biggest critics.
Then there's how the narrative bends over backwards to make Bakugou seem like a better person. And why I hate Aizawa is that most of the time it's through him. Bakugou is accused of going too hard on Uraraka? Aizawa scolds the crowd to blatantly tell us- the viewers- that they don't know what they're talking about and that Bakugou respects Uraraka as an opponent.
Which isn't even true. He a) blatantly told Uraraka that she should have given up and b) assumed her plan was Izuku's doing. Aizawa was dead wrong, even though he's supposed to be a way to tell us what's going on. And this isn't even the only time he does this, he also defended Bakugou's behavior to the journalists and said that he would work on improving it.
Except he didn't. But this was a way to, once again, shut down criticism of Bakugou. Everyone who criticizes Bakugou even a little is antagonized to make him look better than he is: the pros at the Sports Festival, the journalists, Monoma, etc.
Izuku is also forced to be a tool to make Bakugou's development look better. He was forced to validate Bakugou's insecurities during Deku vs Kacchan Part 1. We're told, by All Might, that Izuku doesn't hold Bakugou's behavior against him. Even Bakugou's apology was less about Izuku- his victim- and more about making Bakugou look better. Izuku, as one of my favorite characters, deserves better than that.
Also, to me, Bakugou's "change" isn't all that significant. He still does most of the things he did before, it was just changed to be more comedic. Bakugou didn't actually change, he got a character shift to make it easier to redeem him. How can I say he's changed when none of the other characters hold him accountable?
I hate Aizawa because he's a bad teacher and a hypocrite. He's constantly scolding and berating Izuku, but says almost nothing to Bakugou. Accuses All Might of favoritism when he had a whole protege on the side he was trying to get into the hero course. Constantly berates his class for their faults while doing nothing to make them better.
Again, during the Final Exam, he had five other students who failed. Students he could have easily worked with prior to that exam. But he was fine bending over backwards to make sure Bakugou passed. He's a bad teacher that the series tries to make out to be better than he is.
Also, I do NOT hate mlm shipping. Zolu is one of my favorite ships ever. I hate yaoi shippers who feel the need to bash female characters for getting in the way of their ship (or being shipped with a male character in Katara's case). It's blatant misogyny, just because it's gay doesn't mean it's not prejudiced. Uraraka gets treated terribly by BakuDeku shippers, or she's shipped with Tsu or Toga, tucked away in a background sapphic ship where she can't interfere. That's just as bad as bashing her because it's using a sapphic ship as a tool to prop a gay ship.
I don't hate mlm shipping. I hate how some of my favorite characters are treated because of it. There's also an issue with it fetishizing gay men for straight women, but that's another issue entirely.
My hatred for BakuDeku is actually separate from this. It's a ship built off of abuse. The abuse even persists in their platonic relationship, it would absolutely maintain in a romantic relationship. BakuDeku benefits Bakugou and only Bakugou, not Izuku.
I think Bakugou is so well liked because his gimmick of tough and edgy entices a lot of people. He had a lot of fans before he started to get redeemed. And now with his "great" character development, it justifies a lot of people's love for him.

i truly don't understand how people are hating on deku calling ochaco his hero. did you all forget about her being the one to convince the evacuees at ua to allow deku to come back? did we forget her saving him from his blackwhip outbreak? like. don't get me wrong, i love some bkdk. their relationship is so special and unique, but ochaco is SO vital to deku's journey to become a hero. she was his very first friend, she inspires him, she allowed him to rest in order to beat tomura. i just, she is his hero. she saved him so many times. idk, people who are hating on their moment on the cliff, it makes me feel like you didn't really read into bnha. i think the best part of bnha is the fact that, it's not about individual relationships, or even individual people. it's about what people can do when they have a community, when they rely on others, when they ask for help and when they give help. i've seen so many tiktoks and even some posts on tumblr about how this ending isn't the one that people wanted but like, it's so good? yes i think there are some lose ends still but i think that makes it better in a way. this story is told over the place of one year, more or less. 430 chapters, all to tell the story of one classroom of kids over the course of one year. obviously there is gonna be some lose ends. but that's what fanfiction and hc's are for. idk! ochaco is so important to this story and people have really been hating on her.

Just like that, Izuku found himself back at work.
He knew it was probably too soon, knew it wouldn’t look good to the press or feel like anything other than painful for himself, but he also knew he had a job to do. One of the bastards that had aided in stealing two lives, right in front of him, had gotten away and he hadn’t even known. Hell, beyond that, there was an entire crime ring that seemed to be growing, getting bolder, right under all of their noses.
As much as he didn’t want to relive any of it, to think about it even in the slightest, he knew that as the only hero on the scene that day, he was also a witness. Shouto had wanted information, and now he had it—first hand.
Once inside the doors of his agency, away and safe from the cameras and prying eyes, he made a beeline for his office. He took the stairs today, not bothering with the elevator, where he might have felt like an animal in a cage. That panicked feeling was happening again as he ascended the stairs. Up and up, around and around, it was all blurring together. When he finally reached his floor, he burst through the door, startling an intern standing near a water fountain that was placed a little too closely to the exit.
Izuku mumbled, “Sorry,” but didn’t slow his pace.
He tried not to think about the astounded looks he received from his coworkers as he flew down the hallway. He realized then that he probably should have notified someone, at least his secretary, of his return. As he neared his office, he passed by her, and she rose from her desk with a surprised expression.
“Oh, Deku, you’re back already?” She asked, trying to disguise the shock in her voice. Thinly veiled, painted over with politeness in a way he knew all too well. The customer service voice was like the landlord special of communication, skirting around and covering up the real issues.
He knew it was for his benefit. She was gentle and kind, but he couldn’t handle it. He didn’t feel like he deserved gentle. He didn’t have the capacity to accept kindness, didn’t know how to hold it while already juggling so much. But he wasn’t mean.
“Yep,” he replied, trying to muster up a smile. Tight-lipped, but passable. “Sorry about the disruption, Jane, but I’ll be pretty busy now, so don’t let anyone in. Thanks!” He rushed out before all but diving into the sanctity of his office.
“But—“ he heard her start just as he closed his door, locking it for good measure.
Izuku sighed, slumping against the door with his head down. He felt like crying. He felt small again. How could a man who had accomplished so much, who drew so many eyes, feel so minuscule unto himself? It was hard to live like this, feeling bad for feeling bad, for complaining when he had such privilege and responsibility. There was no end.
“Hey, squirt,” he heard a gruff voice say.
Startled, he shot up, being met with the sight of Bakugou standing near his desk.
“Wh—how did you know I would be here?” He stammered, floored by his friend’s presence and immediately sobered. “Also, I told you to stop calling me that, because—“
Bakugou cut him off, “It’s gross and weird, I know.” He snickered, his shit-eating grin somehow a sight for Izuku’s sore eyes at that moment. “Your mom called me,” he explained, and Izuku cursed to himself quietly.
He should have known. Mama Inko always needed a spy on the inside to make sure he wasn’t lying about being okay. Which, to her credit: he was totally lying about being okay.
“She said you were coming back here today and asked me to make sure you weren’t throwing up and pissing everywhere," he said, and Izuku raised a questioning eyebrow at that.
“My words, not hers,” Bakugou continued. “And you haven’t puked yet, which is a good sign I guess, but do I spy a little pee running down your leg?” He taunted, making his way closer to his green-haired companion to place a large, gloved hand over his face.
Izuku groaned, prying Bakugou’s hand off of him, “Why do you always have to be so gross? And do you ever wash your gloves?”
His friend scoffed in response, “Tch. Haven't you heard I smell like caramel?"
Izuku shuddered, "Caramelized onion maybe. Go take a bath."
Bakugou gave him a long, pointed look before speaking again," So you're really gonna be okay this time, eh?"
Izuku felt his eyebrows furrow in confusion, knowing his expression was probably all too readable to his friend of many years, at least if his stupid smirk was anything to go by.
"What do you mean?" he said indignantly. "I'm here, aren't I?"
"You look like you're here," Bakugou started, "and you may even feel like you're here," he continued, giving Izuku just enough of a shove to make him lose his balance momentarily.
"Hey–" he started to protest, stopping when Bakugou jabbed at his forehead, right between the eyes.
"But up here, you're somewhere else. And usually, you stay there longer," he explained, pulling his hand back to cross his arms, "but you're coming back to us. I can tell 'cause you sound like an idiot again–less deranged, though–but still stupid. I'm way past hoping you'll give up on being perfect or whatever, but you're making a little more sense than you were when I came by your apartment," he said, rolling his eyes as he continued, "Ya know, before you so rudely kicked me out and left me arguing with the fuckin' door. Anyway, that's a good enough sign for me to tell your mom not to get her panties in a twist," he finished.
"Because you care so much," Izuku stressed the words, "I am fine, just like I said when you barged into my apartment before," he paused. Then, with a face of disgust and exasperation, he screeched, "And can you not talk about my mom's panties?"
"Yeah, yeah," Bakugou relented. "How 'bout that neighbor chick that lives next to ya?" he smirked. "Bet hers have little cherries on 'em. And let me tell ya, they were all tied up in knots over you."
Izuku froze, feeling his ears get hot with a blush as your face came to mind–all pinched up in concern–and he immediately stared at his shoes.
"My neighbor?" he asked in disbelief, "When did you talk to her?" He peeked up.
Bakugou grinned, knowing he had struck gold with this line of conversation, "After you locked me out of your place. She came home and saw me arguing away with your closed door–asked if you were okay."
"And?" Izuku prompted, watching as his friend shoved his hands in his pockets so nonchalantly, like he didn't just say something potentially life-ruining. "What did you say?"
"Nothing," Bakugou shrugged, watching Izuku's mouth open in shock. "Didn't know you had the hots for her. Not just gonna give some creep info on you in your time of dire need."
Izuku must have visibly deflated, because he continued, "Don't implode; I wasn't mean to her. She looked all...concerned and shit, so you still got a shot."
Izuku sighed, half-relieved that he didn't scare you off and half-annoyed by his friend's tendency to be nosy.
"She's just nice, okay?" He asserted. "Not that you're ever gonna shut up about this, regardless of what I say," he groaned, rubbing a hand over his face. "And don't talk about her panties either," he ordered.
Bakugou mockingly put his hands up in defeat, "Got it, squirt. I'm heading out now, anyway, now that I've busted up your pity party," he gestured vaguely as he headed toward the door. "I'll tell your mom you haven't keeled over and died yet," he said finally.
He unlocked the door and started to turn the handle as Izuku went to his desk and took a seat, newly determined and ready to get to work.
Bakugou opened the door and began to step out, pausing as he said, "I'm glad you're better now. Than you were that day, I mean." He then added, without any real bite, "Won't have to pick up your slack."
And Izuku didn't know what to say. He nodded, and the other man left. Slumping in his chair, Izuku breathed deeply, not feeling as much of the weight that had been there before, but deep down, he knew that calling himself 'better' was too generous. He understood, though.
The last time he saw Bakugou was right after he had gotten home. Post-incident, post-bullet wound–could you blame him for not making sense? And he was so angry. Just so angry, like he hadn't been in a long time. His friend had come by to try to put an early end to his downward spiral, but he wouldn't listen to any of it. He couldn't. It's like his eyes and ears and, hell, his entire head had been filled with cotton. There had been one time like it in the past, a time that Bakugou had bore witness to just how much the job really affected Izuku.
A few years back, fresh out of school, they had been called on to a kidnapping case. This girl in a small town had disappeared, and people feared it might have been the work of a trafficking ring from a nearby city. They were right. The two of them managed to infiltrate the house that they had been holding the girl hostage in. They even found her.
Izuku still remembers how he had scooped her up, promising that she would be safe again. Promising that she would feel safe again. Bakugou had been fighting close by, securing their exit, a plan they had become accustomed to by then.
They both agreed that Izuku was better at the hands-on rescuing stuff, a more calming presence during a really traumatic time for the victims they saved. And Bakugou was doing what he did best, fighting with an almost reckless abandon. They were almost out, the majority of the suspects involved had been subdued either on the way in or by Bakugou's hands on the way out. But they missed one.
They missed a man who waited for them right at the top of the stairs, one who shot without hesitation. The bullet should have hit Izuku right in the chest, but he was holding the girl he had promised to save. It hit her instead, saving his life but ending hers almost instantly.
It wasn't instant, though. And he remembers how she had looked up at him, with shock, disbelief, pain, and fear. But more than that, he remembered the look of hope. And he doesn't know if it was confusion, or ill-advised optimism that would never cease despite the odds, but she spoke her last words to him then.
"Don't worry," she had choked out, with a smile and the tears on her cheeks that betrayed it.
"Deku will save us."
Izuku felt too warm, trying to shake his head to rid himself of the memory.
"Work," he reminded himself. "Work, work."
He knew that his best chance of preventing anything like that from happening again was to stop it before it started. He had to find the evil in the world and snuff it out before it could spread. But evil doesn't exist in a vacuum.
Evil is born and raised. It's shut out, dealt a bad hand. Loved or unloved; seen or unseen. Evil is a product of generations of the product of an evening. It can sometimes be found in minds and hearts, but always in places it shouldn't be.
It had been hard for Izuku to learn that evil wouldn't be going anywhere despite his best efforts. Like the the night to the day, it just is. He didn't know if it was necessary, and understood that ultimately, he would not be the one to decide. He could only be evil's consequence, but that had consequences for him as well. Everything balanced out, one way or another. All he could do was try to tip the scales in favor of the righteous and the good.
He spent the next few hours pouring over any and all footage from the incident, as well as witness testimonies. From that, he could gather a decent description of the second perpetrator despite his face being partially obscured. The guy was too coward to even show his face, so he'd worn sunglasses and a baseball cap. He did, however, neglect to cover the tattoos that covered his arms, and some were familiar.
At this point, Izuku had seen criminals of all kinds, and was starting to be able to tell who ran with who just based on their tattoos and general demeanor. But while these looked familiar, he couldn't exactly place them. They were slightly different than those of the main gang that ran in his area, so he decided he would send an enhanced (as enhanced as possible based on grainy footage from the scene) photograph of the tattoo he was looking at to both Dynamight and Shouto's agencies. Maybe they would recognize it.
There wasn't much else to go on at the moment, so as difficult as it was, Izuku turned back to the less pressing but very necessary task of filing reports from past cases. Cases--at times very loosely called so--could mean anything from a traffic violation to a minor dispute. Of which, there were many, especially in a big city. It wasn't glamorous, but it was work that needed doing. And, in his absence, the reports had started to pile up.
"Alright," he said, cracking his knuckles. "Paperwork."
To Izuku, the minutes seemed to pass more quickly than usual, which was probably due to the fact that he could basically hear the humming of his heartbeat. His leg was bouncing too, unconsciously, a dull anxiety nipping at his throat while his heart turned over in his chest. His vital organs thrumming with energy made him feel connected to the moment in a way he wished he could reject. It came out of nowhere, that thief of focus. Not completely unwelcome, but uncomfortable in a way that made him start to realize the sweat on his skin and the scratch of his collar.
He had been productive, at least, and had burned through the daylight. He checked the time, eyes growing a bit when he realized how long he had been working. He was completely caught up on paperwork and had even started to get ahead on some things, so he should've known that he had gone way beyond working hours.
He packed his things and left, noticing how he seemed to be the last one in the office. Jane had really taken it to heart when he asked not to be bothered. In some ways, he was relieved. He felt like he'd had enough conversation for the day, so he found a guilty pleasure in walking out in silence. It seemed that even the camera and news crews had taken their leave, and Izuku let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in.
Once he arrived home, he had only just turned the key when your door was thrown open. He flinched, visibly startled, before taking you in.
You looked flustered as you rushed out, "Oh, did I scare you? I'm sorry." Sheepishly you added, "I totally wasn't waiting for you to come home or anything. Just wanted to...look...at the hallway." You nodded then, as if trying to convince yourself, "You know, for fresh air..."
Izuku laughed, slightly confused, but like felt that was the right move.
"Do you want to come over?" You asked suddenly, and he saw something hopeful swimming in your eyes, which were much more open now than the last time he had seen you. He was thankful for that.
Before he could even agree, you said, "I promise I won't fall asleep on you this time."
He really laughed at that as he nodded, "Sure. Give me 10 minutes? I just need to put my stuff away and change."
"No," you whined playfully, slipping back into your apartment. "Don't change. I like you how you are!"
Izuku just laughed at your antics as your door closed, glad to see you much more full of energy. He hoped you were able to get the rest you needed, but knew that fixing that level of deprivation would take a bit of time. You can't catch up on sleep, after all.

Too Much Thinking Is Bad For My Health (Part 3)
"Time, c'mon. Let's try 'nd make it t' th' spring." Twilight said gently, cradling Warriors so very gently to his chest. A hand behind his head, as if trying to shield him from the world. Time looked over at Warriors. His poor, poor brother. The man who raised him. More than The Great Deku Tree did anyway. Forget his father being a tree, his father was Warriors, more than anything.
"Twilight, we'll... we'll never make it." Time's voice cracked, and his eyes teared again. How could he have let this happen? Again, his thoughts were spiraling, repeating themselves. How could he have fixed this? When did he let it get so bad? After all this, was this how his brother died? Cradled in someone's hands, like a delicate scrap of flower? Did-
Warriors' chest gave an odd heave, the sign that his heart was trying to quit on him again. Twilight jumped. "Time, the fairy-"
Time's hands were already grabbing for the fairy bag, carefully taking out the last one.
Time's hand brushed something, as he lifted her from the bag and released her from her bottle.
The-
Oh.
His ocarina.
Time pulled it out of the bag, staring at it with wide eyes. The last time he'd used it was... was Termina. Time travel, those three days. Over and over and over. Those people that didn't remember him, oh how little he was. Tiny. Playing with time like a toy, until he realized just how important it was to stop the moon from falling. Frantically running through temples, trying to get to the final chamber before the final day. Over and over, those days. Repeating and doing the same thing. Mikau. Anju and Kafei. Darmani. Kamaro. Gone, lost to time and Termina. He'd never see them again.
What if he playing the song now? Would this cycle repeat too? Of him seeing his brother die over and over and over and see him collapse and convulse and seize and cry in his sleep and then never move again? Would he have to witness Wind's sobs and cries and pleas over and over and over until his voice died? Wild's guilt, Sky's fear, Twilight's remorse? Legend's buried horror and sorrow, Hyrule's hopelessness, Four's despair? See all of them go through it all over and over and over and over until he collapsed till the moon fell till everyone died and no one could be saved and he couldn't bring the ocarina to his lips anymore and had no more air to breathe-
"Time! Breathe!"
Twilight had set Warriors down gently in a patch of grass, and was currently gripping Time by a shoulder. "Set the ocarina down, unless you fancy smashin' it by grippin' it so hard. Take a couple breaths, Old man." Time's hands shook, and his chest heaved as he took panicked breaths. "The ocarina." He said, voice barely heard through the wavering tone and lack of air.
"The what?" Twilight asked gently, trying to figure out why Time had suddenly panicked as soon as his fingers had wrapped around his instrument.
"The ocarina. I can save him. I can. The Song of Time. Three days. I can-"
"You can take a breath, and talk to me, Time. You're spoutin' a whole lotta gibberish. I don't speak gibberish." Twilight had crossed his arms, but his face was worried.
"You said you can save him. How? What will it cost?" What would it cost? No one would remember the panic, the fear, the hurt. Only Time. Only Link, who was too young in body and too old in soul, would remember. Three more days to add to the never ending tally. But Link would remember. He'd remember the screams of horror, the sound of Wind's knees hitting the ground. The sound of his sobs and wails as he watched Warriors die. He'd remember Legend's quiet crying, into the hat that Warriors had stitched up for him so many times. He'd remember Hyrule wearing himself to magic exhaustion in the effort to try and ease his brother's pain. To heal it. He'd remember Wild's frantic guilt, as he wondered if he'd suddenly been the cause of all this. He'd remember Sky's shaking voice, as he tried to soothe. He'd remember Twilight's hiccups and shudders as he held onto Warriors' hand through a watch. He'd remember Four's erratic shouting, as they seemed to fall apart from the inside out.
Link would remember when others wouldn't. Oh, how he'd remember.
"Just a little air. Then we'll go back three days and this would've never happened." Time lied easily, getting up. Twilight visibly brightened. This seemed like a cure-all, though mildly sketchy. Anything to try and save Warriors.
Time lifted the ocarina to his lips, hands shaking, and began to play.
XXX
The moon was falling was the moon falling where were the masks he needed did he lose one no where's the deity mask I need that to fight which was next what to I do where's Saria WHY WON'T IT COME OFF NAVI HELP HELP HELP TATL COME BACK-
"LINK!"
Warriors' voice.
Time had suddenly scrambled away from the fire, eyes wide. He'd tossed his ocarina across the camp, to where it skittered to be near Sky. Sky picked it up gently and started to clean the dirt off of it, frowning. Time had then proceeded to curl up in a ball, grip his hair, and scream.
"Sprite, Link, come on. Talk to me, please. What happened? Are you hurt?"
Warriors' voice was frantic but he was there and he was okay and he wasn't pale yeah he was still painfully thin but he was there and he was okay and he wasn't dead or dying or-
"Link, please. Breathe." Time's chest heaved, whines and gasps leaving him. Warriors held him tight. This sudden breakdown... what could've happened to make Time break so thoroughly?
"No no no no no no no the moon is falling where's the moon what day is it one two or three where's Tatl? Please, I don't want to go back to Termina-" He was speaking aloud. Warriors increased the pressure of his hold.
"Link, look. See?" He pointed between the trees. "The moon is right there, nice and far away. A crescent, tonight." Time looked up.
There it was, the moon. No evil grin. No Majora. No numbered days.
Time took a steadier breath.
"There you go. Can I ask what set this off?" Warriors' voice was gentle, a hand cradling Time to his neck, like he'd do when Time was little. Fresh out of Termina. Time shuddered with a sob, crying instead of screaming. His hands came to latch onto Warriors' clothes- Warriors, alive and not well, but alive. Heart beating steady.
"You died." Time sobbed quietly.
"I-... Link, I'm not dead. I'm not dying any time soon. What brought this on-"
"You died so many times. Over and over and over and there weren't enough fairies to get us to Ordona's spring. Poison, Wars. You poisoned yourself and you died." Time shuddered again, tears pouring down his face.
Warriors froze. Poison. How did Time know?
"How did-"
"The Song of Time. Three days. I moved back three days. We were having chili that night. Then you didn't eat and so Wild made you snacks but you didn't eat and on your watch I surprised you so it was my fault you poisoned yourself and died-"
"Slow down, Sprite. Slow-"
"And everyone was screaming and crying and we couldn't save you and so I-" "Mask."
Time froze, hiccupping and crying. The camp was quiet.
"You used the Song of Time?"
Time nodded, gripping the back of Warriors' shirt hard enough it was ripping holes.
"I... I died?"
Another nod, another sob.
Warriors just held Time for a moment, thinking to himself. He'd died, huh. Funny how it was something he was so paranoid of dying to.
"Warriors." Wind's voice was quiet, as he came by. Wars looked up. Wind was holding out a blanket with worry evident on his face.
"Thanks, Sailor. We'll be fine."
Wind frowned, but he turned away to leave them be. Warriors looked back down at Time, still crying and clinging to him.
"Dad." Time's voice was small. Full of fear.
Time had only called Warriors dad exactly three times, when he was Mask. Once when he was so sick that he couldn't even open his eyes; he'd called for Warriors to read him a story book. Once when he'd gotten an an arrow through his side and was convinced he was going to die.
And once again, as he held Warriors' hand so tight and was transported home.
"Shhhhhhh. It's alright." Oh Hylia, Warriors couldn't do this.
"I don't want you to die again, please don't let this be another cycle-"
"It won't be. In the morning, we can have a nice long chat about this, okay? About the poison problem, I mean. It's probably high time I talk to someone about this." Artemis had told him that for years.
Time rubbed his eyes, and tried sitting up, realizing just how ridiculous he probably looked. Crying into Warriors' shoulder. Wasn't he supposed to be the leader? Strong and mighty and unshakable? He had an apology ready on his tongue when Warriors pulled him back in.
"Sit your ass back down, Link." Time sat back down, tears still pouring no matter how fast he rubbed his eyes. Ridiculous. He was (somewhere) in his thirties, why was he crying? The crisis had been averted. Warriors wasn't dead.
But he had been.
Warriors cradled Time as close as he could, given the height difference.
"I'm sorry, Link. We'll have a talk in the morning, okay? For now, get some sleep."
Time closed his eyes, and relaxed into Warriors' hold. He slept through the night. There would need to be a big, long talk in the morning, but for now, they were okay. And they'd be okay.

VIGILANTE SHIT
BAKUGO KATSUKI X READER
Tumblr media
The first time you met him again was when you were about to apprehend a villain at the same time he did, except you were hit by the whip and he effortlessly dodged it.
"The jail is that way," you said in exasperation when you saw him following you after that ordeal.
"And the hospital is that way."
You sighed, noting that he had handed the whip-wielding villain to the police patrolling the area. You even saw the police gesturing at you as if asking if you’re a villain too, only for Bakugo to shake his head.
You walked faster. You’ve always imagined it would be awkward to meet your former classmates (friends; you’d hear Deku and Uraraka correct) again after what happened in your last year at UA.
Bakugo casually follows you as if he has all the time in the world. He even stopped your hand from slamming the door on his face effortlessly, taking in the sorry state of your apartment.
"Why is this place such a pigsty? Just hire someone if you don’t feel like cleaning."
"I don’t exactly get paid, do I?" You answered sarcastically as you tried to put pressure on your wound. He says nothing as he stands against the door frame, as if he is guarding it.
Stupid Bakugo.
You moved some of your things that were in the way and motioned for him to sit on your bed, the only clean part of the small room. You’d feel like he’s gonna insult you because of the mess you’re making.
It’s been years since the war against the Meta Liberation Army. The heroes won, but not without casualties—too many casualties.
And there’s been a hunt for the criminals who escaped Tartarus during the whole ordeal and a crackdown on the suspected members of the organization.
Isn’t that why you’re alone now? Without friends and your parents?
"Sit down." You almost jumped when you heard his voice beside you. You didn’t even notice him approaching. "Just sit down and let me clean it."
You pursued your lips, but let him have his way.
He cleaned your wounds, frowning deeper when he saw that you don’t even have a first-aid kit, but he stayed silent.
You just watch him. You’ve only seen him (and your former classmates, as well) on TV and billboards now, and you’ve never been prouder of them for achieving their dreams. You’re so proud of them.
"Thank you." after he’s done cleaning your wounds.
He says nothing, just nodding toward the door. "I’m starving. Let’s go."
You follow him to your door, opening it. He stepped outside, but you didn’t move to follow him.
"Don't—please don’t tell them where I am," you pleaded. They don’t need to associate with you, and you don’t want them to suffer too.
He looks back at you. "What?"
"Thank you for today, but please don’t come here again." and you slammed the door.
But you should’ve known better than to delude yourself. Since when did Bakugo listen to an extra anyway?
So here you are, eating with him again after that incident months ago. You’ve tried everything to avoid him, but he’s not one of the top heroes for nothing.
And Katsuki would never let you slip away from him like that ever again.
"We know your parents are not a part of the Meta Liberation," he said one morning while eating breakfast with you. "We know, and we’re gonna prove them to those bastards and to everyone, and then you can go back. You can be with us again. Everything can go back to the way it was before."
You’re too shocked to say anything, so you just stared at him, forgetting about food as you watched his knuckles turn white from the way he holds the utensils.
"Deku and Todoroki are already taking care of it... so please." rely on me. His unspoken words hung heavily in the air as you gripped the utensils.
How would you rely on him without dragging him down into the mud you're in?
But that was a surprise; you realize you’re not the only one who changed.
He has changed too.
He used to call Todoroki-san Half-and-Half all the time when you were students, and he would rather die than let others help him.
And little by little, at every meeting, the hole in Katsuki’s heart left by your sudden disappearance was filled with memories of you. Tending to your wounds after your ‘work’, buying you food so you’ll eat with him, and the little things he didn't get to experience with you before
"A vigilante has been attacking civilians at night. Civilians are advised to report any strange activity and to be careful as this vigilante, this criminal, is still at large."
"The Hero Commission will award anyone who has information regarding this criminal terrorizing our cit-"
Katsuki pressed the off-bottom with more force than necessary because what the fuck did he just watch?
Beside him, he could see you closing in on yourself again. He’s quick to wrap an arm around you before you push him away.
It’s like your third year all over again. A bounty on your head, a false charge. Someone must have really hated you to put you in this situation.
But Katsuki would be damned before he let anything get past him again. He’s not the useless student he was before who couldn’t do anything to help you. He’s a Pro Hero now, the number 1 Pro Hero if he do say so himself. He has resources now that he didn’t have before, and his influence runs deep.
He’d be damned before he let them hurt you and take you away from him again.
"You’ll take care of it, won’t you?" You ask in a sad tone, but he could also see the coyness in it. The trust you put in him
He sighed in relief, kissing the top of your head before tsk-ing because, really, who else is going to look after your sorry ass? "Like you’d have to ask."

Performative Guilt
Summary: At the mall, Eijiro watches as his buddy Bakugou approaches a green haired woman. He is shocked bu what follows.
Notes: A short written after reading one to many 'Bakugou is very guilty feeling after Izuku jumps' fics where Bakugou has nothing happen to him. This is very Anti Bakugou. Could be part of a larger work one day? I like the idea behind it at least.
If you like my work and want to support me, you can buy me a coffee

When Class 1A showed up at the mall to hang out, Eijiro was happy to get their most moody  classmate to come. Bakugou Katsuki was a loud kind of guy who tended to be a bit rough but you could tell he was a good guy. His hero name was the Deku Hero: Dynamight! You don't get that kind of name from nothing. He volunteered at Quirkless shelters and donated money to charities! The guy was just a bit of a rough asshole, but given his Quirk he probably face some bullying. Real friends would help!
Walking through the mall, they passed a green-haired woman who looked exhausted, tear tracks on her face and holding a yellow bag in her hands. Bakugou slowed down, eyes wide.
“Auntie…” he said before he approached the woman. Eijiro and Kaminari waited for him. Eijiro figured she was a relative of some sorts and had gone through something. Why else-
The thunderous slap echoed and everyone now watched at the green-haired woman glared fiercely at the shocked Bakugou.
“How DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME BAKUGOU KATSUKI!” she screamed. “MY SON IS IN A COMA AND WE MAY HAVE TO PULL THE PLUG BECAUSE OF YOU!” she glared angrily at Bakugou who curled into himself.
 “Auntie I-”
“You lost that right to call me that the first time you beat up my son using your Quirk!” the woman yelled. “You have some damn nerve approaching me right now. Oh wait I know why, it's cause of those boys.” she pointed at Eijiro and Kaminari who froze in confusion. “Classmates? You want to be seen mourning the boy you bullied for his entire life, the boy you told to jump off a roof and DID!”
“What the fuck?” Kamianri asked quietly.
“Au- Mrs. Midoriya it's not-” Bakugou said and Eijiro knew the blonde was a good person. He'd obviously changed he had to.
“Don’t talk,” Mrs. Midoriya said coldly. “You got away with it because my son is Quirkless. Or was anyway. The police told me I should be happy you bullied him so badly he wanted to die because he unlocked his Quirk. Yet he's still in a coma because of it. He's still almost DEAD because of you.” she glared at Bakugou and Eijiro moved.
“Ma’am, please-” he began but Mrs. Midoriya glared at him.
“He didn't tell anyone you know. This boy right here never told a soul what he did. A classmate confessed to me and I tried frequently to get the police to listen but they never did. This boy right here instead decided to use it didn't you Bakugou Katsuki.” Mrs. Midoriya glared. “Using that nickname you gave my son when you were three years old and happy you could bully a smaller child, the useless Deku.” she snarled. “Can't even blame his Quirklessness on it. Not that if you could it would be better. Bullying the poor boy without a Quirk?” she mocked.
“Holy fuck,” Kaminari said. Eijiro turned, expecting… he didn't know. A shocked look? Confusion? Anything but the realization on Kaminari’s face. “I knew you were a piece of shit but damn! What the fuck Bakugou?!”
“Excuse me dunce face?!” Bakugou turned and glared.
“See?! The insults, the attitude! Me and Sero pegged you as a douchebag but thought you were in UA for the rehabilitation stuff they do.” Kaminarsaid and Ejiro didn't know what he meant. Nothing made sense, what did… What did that mean?
 “What?!” Bakugou shouted.
“He isn’t because of a Mineta on the school board telling me my son isn't worth the mark on his record.” snarled Mrs. Midoriya. “I got lucky that Midnight answered and listened when I requested that Deku be banned from your usage. Is that why you came up to me?”
“I… Mom said you weren't talking to her and that you'd be here so…” Bakugou said. “I used it to remember Auntie! Please its-”
“Don’t.” Mrs. Midoriya cut him off harshly. “I don’t talk to your mother because she keeps defending you and going ‘boys will be boys’ when YOU crossed the line years ago. What is it when you use your Quirk to hurt someone? Right! Aggravated assault!” Mrs. Midoriya glared at him. “And you didn't try to use it as a reminder. You did it for that backstory you keep claiming. ‘Boohoo I went to a poor school and got into UA. Ignore the fact my parents are rich enough to have me go to a better school, pay for tutors and my Quirk Counseling.’”
 “Aun-”
“Stop.” Mrs. Midoriya sighed. “Just stop Bakugou. Stop lying, stop pretending. If you'd cared you'd have said something. I bet you felt relief when my son was said to have a Quirk. Relief he lived because then ‘hey I'm not at fault. He didn't die.’” Bakugou’s face and flinch made Eijiro feel sick. She had hit the mark, hadn't she? The woman turned and walked away, heading to a hero merch store, passing by people who looked horrified.
“Auntie!” Bakugou shouted. Mrs. Midoriya paused to look over her shoulder and glare.
“Stop calling me that. You should know your former classmate has finally gathered together every scrap of evidence he can, every social media post made and every video taken. It goes live in three days. I wonder if UA’s board is so willing to protect you then.” she walked away after that, and Bakugou paled.
“Bro, are you okay?” Eijiro asked him.
“You're asking him if he's okay?” asked Kaminari in disgust.
“Look, she's angry and maybe she-”
“They can't release it, I’ll lose my spot!” Bakugou says in horror. Eijiro’s stomach dropped.
“That's what you care about?!” Kamianri asked. “Not the kid you drove to suicide?!”
“It was when I was fourteen!” Bakugou said.
“Didn't you just turn 16 two months ago?” Kamianri asked. “What would happen if I looked it up? How long ago was it?”
 “Over a year-”
“Oh so what, probably barely a year ago.” Kaminari shook his head. “I’m out. Kirishima, if you're half the guy I thought you were you'd leave to.” he walked away, as Eijiro stood there, staring at the guy he thought he knew.
 What had just happened?
-0-
The next week was spent with the media blasting about how awful it was UA had let in a person like Bakugou, and Eijiro watched the video put up. It was bad.
 Really, really bad.
Eijiro had to stay away from the internet for a little while, disgusted with what he saw. He thought he KNEW Bakugou. Thought the guy was just rough around the edges. Maybe a victim of bullying given his Quirk was destructive. But no. He’d been wrong. Bakugou wasn’t a victim, he was an aggressor. He was an abuser.
And through all of it, even with Bakugou on the news, the guy kept trying to justify it. Kept saying things like he was a kid, he didn’t know any better, it was anyone’s fault but his own. He waved around the stupid hero name he gave himself, the hours spent at a Quirkless shelter, anything.
All of it felt so… fake now. Performative, to show he was sorry.
Eijiro didn’t know what to think.

Notes: pet peeve of mine in every ‘Midoriya jumps’ fic is the Bakugou Whump and uwu poof blasty so sad. More so when he doesn't admit what he did, still goes to UA and then… what? What does he do? Nothing.
Bakugou is very guilty and doesn't do everything performative but the name? That was performative as is volunteering.
-Bakugou is expelled for this because even if it happened before UA its now a stain on their entire reputation.
-Izuku does wake up and his Quirk is very strong, and the reason he took so long to wake up.
-Kirishima makes a point to meet him and talk. They become friends and Izuku eventually gets into UA. His linger complications from the jump prevent him from being a hero but he is a support student.

My Hero Academia Chapter 430 Spoiler Talk: The True End of an Era (Part 2):
Part 1 is here: https://www.tumblr.com/sarahjtv/757589380503306240/my-hero-academia-chapter-430-spoiler-talk-the?source=sharehttps://www.tumblr.com/sarahjtv/757589380503306240/my-hero-academia-chapter-430-spoiler-talk-the?source=share
Now, please, if you want to wait until the official translation releases on Sunday, PLEASE TURN AWAY NOW! Save this post and come back to it on Sunday when everyone has read the chapter. I will be using spoiler hashtags for this, so if you end up spoiling yourself because of my post, that's on you. THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING:
So, Deku decided that using his knowledge and experiences would be a cool way to help others even without a Quirk. Being a teacher specifically in UA was a good choice for him.
Izuku says he's barely seen his friends since graduation mainly because their schedules don't line up with each other. This is honestly sad to see, but it is realistic. A lot of people don't keep in touch with their high school friends. I know I don't except for maybe 1 or 2. We all just end up living our own lives and we rarely have any free time to hang out with each other. I hope they at least have a group chat for all of them to talk with each other and I pray that Izuku is in that group too.
He does see commercials and products of Kirishima and Tokoyami respectively! Even one of the kids passing by tries to play "Unbreakable!" It's so cool how famous everyone got. Them playing big parts in fighting the villains during their entire first year absolutely helped get them that recognition.
The kid playing stumbles and Deku tries to rush in and save him like he always has Quirk or not 🥹 And he does!
He also runs into Dai who recognizes Deku and asks him the famous question that started it all "Can I become a hero like All Might and you?" Man, talk about coming full circle. One of the most iconic scenes in the entire series comes back to Izuku Midoriya, the Quirkless boy who asked the same question to his hero, All Might.
And just like All Might before him, Izuku reassures Dai that despite everyone looking down on him, "You can become a hero." I'm honestly crying now, guys. It's such a beautiful and poignant thing Horikoshi has done here. This is what I mean by peak fiction 🥹.
Also, Izuku briefly mutters to himself when analyzing Dai's plate Quirk. Never change, Izuku. Never change 💚.
As Izuku concludes the story of My Hero Academia, an older looking All Might (he's in his early 60s now I think) comes in and crushes the "END" with his hand and meets up with Izuku. Turns out, Izuku's story isn't over just yet!
Because technology evolved since 8 years ago and the Iron Might suit opened many possibilities, Deku gets his own briefcase courtesy of a friend of his in the US (Either David or Melissa), Hatsume, and financed by his Class A friends, ESPECIALLY BAKUGO YOU LOVE TO SEE IT! 💚🧡 Clap your hands, BKDK nation! Also, does this means Bakugo makes a shit tone of money now or... 🤔
Deku takes the briefcase with happy tears and a smile! Later we see Bakugo yelling "Come on, Deku!" as he reaches out his hand to Izuku like Izuku did to him as kids 🥹 Oh, it's so late, but I am internally screaming, crying, throwing up.
As Izuku and his friends are called by Hawks for a mission, Izuku sees Shigaraki's "ghost" and we get a final double-page spread of all the kids as Pro Hero adults in their new costumes including Izuku who can now be a hero thanks to his new support items. I can't describe all 21 of the kids (this includes Shinso), but they all look amazing and you'll have to see their new designs yourself. Honestly, I think they're all awesome! Horikoshi has rarely disappointed me with his designs and this is no exception! The only one who's hard to tell is Shoto sadly because he's blocked off quite a bit, but maybe his changes will be more clear in the official release. Hagakure too since she's just gloves again. I'm surprised Horikoshi didn't show us, oh you know, HER VISIBLE WITH A SUIT TO ACCOMMODATE THAT!
And that's it! That is My Hero Academia! What an ending. As a mini-epilogue arc, I do think this was a bit rushed overall and I'm hopeful Horikoshi can extend this in the volume release. As a final chapter, it was near perfect. I think this did everything that it needed to do to cap off the series well. I wish we got more content about everyone else's lives both during their last 2 years at UA and their lives as adults, but again, we could get that in the final volume. We could also get that in the new Fanbook (Releasing in January 2025) and ART BOOK (Releasing in April 2025) finally! Horikoshi can just have my wallet at this point LOL 😂💸.
Aside from that, I don't really have any complaints about this ending. I love that the story truly came full circle and that Izuku did become a hero like he dreamed of regardless of if he had a Quirk or not. And it's so cool to see him be a Pro Hero with his friends finally. I kinda wish he could've kept One For All, but this is a great consolation prize. I'm surprised we didn't get any confirmed ships in this honestly. Not that MHA was focused on romance to begin with, but it's still kind of a nice surprise since it leaves things open-ended for us.
I think I'll write more about the series as a whole after the final chapter is officially released on Sunday. But for now, it's late; my fingers hurt; and I need to go to sleep.
Thank you, Kohei Horikoshi for everything. Thank you for creating a wonderful story that will have a special place in my heart for the rest of my life. Take a long break, sir. I can't wait for what you will do next.

Bubble Girl being fish-like (fish qualities)?
i wanted to draw art for this ask cause i really like Bubble girl like a lot - sadly i don't have any new art for her :( but i'll still talk about her
YES she is a fishy girl, like i said before "know shes not the fish lady but i wanted to give her fish qualities like glassy eyes and gills kinda, homegirl seems a little boney in the ribs"
the thing about her and the actual fish lady Tsu interned with or workstudy or whatever is that lady actually isn't a fish lady and those ears are fake gjknjknjkthj remember that octopus villain broke one of them cause it was a communicator? - ALSO i did some looking up about Bubble girl for another reason but i found out two things, there was a controversial about her revealing costume and she was supposed to be 16 but they changed it to 21 in her concept art by the person who drew her (i believe? im not very sure )she was wearing a UA Uniform
Tumblr media
i got this from this post it talks about Bubble girl facts
one of them ones i actually think is something interesting is - "Her body is also supposed to be translucent like a bubble as illustrated in the original art, but I guess Horikoshi went for an opaque blue skin instead" from that post, might include that by making her a little shiny next time i draw her
ME PERSONALLY i always thought she was like freshly graduated never gave me the actual functioning grown women vibes, she acts childish, she apologized to a yakuza member when she manhandled him to the floor, that's a child your honor
Have some headcanons i have about her
-She can stay 16, we just cover up her chest - shes not as new as Mirio but she hasn't been here longer then Centipeder
-she's such a seasoned fighter Nighteye thought it just a great idea to have her on the team, she makes him laugh and they are genuinely friends.
-He met her one day and she was all frazzled out about not being able to be accepted by a agency cause she woke up late and missed a train and wah wah wah! - he simply told her "tell me a joke and if you can make me laugh you can work for me" - she made him laugh by being a girl failure and shes been on the team ever since.
-It wasn't necessarily about her making him laugh but the fact she was really trying hard when he asked that of her told him everything about her - she started crying when she thought he was never gonna laugh at her attempts at being funny
-Deku reminds Nighteye of Bubble girl alot and that's a small part of why he agreed to let Deku be here
-She skipped a grade at like middle school or something for one reason or another, that's why shes younger then Mirio but graduated from UA as a 3rd year she was younger then all her peers not sure how that works but it did, my cousin skipped a grade so it can happen - and like i said shes a seasoned fighter shes just out of sorts all the time
-She has a crush on Deku - who doesn't lol - she doesn't make it known at first but Deku kinda knew when he was there and didn't say anything cause he 1) didn't know what to say back and 2) he kinda friend-zoned her cause he didn't feel the same, he just met her lol poor thing
-She asked him out and he slowly avoided the question lol danced around it so he could get out of responding cause he didnt know what to say. She thinks about asking him again but she doesn't wanna be weird or push the issue like shes desperate
-Shes very jealous of Mirio being Nighteye's "golden boy" but she and Mirio have a very good friendship going. She has told him this many times thats shes jealous of him, she complains about it sometimes and she complains about it to Mirio "Can you kinda like, give me a chance to show you up?"
-Bubble girl and Mirio know Nighteye so well they be escaping when he's mad about stuff, Mirio will clock out and leave, Bubble girl will clock out and make the jump from the window to leave the building if hes mad
-Bubble girl and Mirio fight alot kinda, like Mirio is never really mad but they like "no you, it's your turn no you!" when neither want to do a task for Nighteye that's kinda weird/strange.
-Bubble girl gets put in the tickle machine more then anyone in this agency and quite honestly she is the only person who gets put in it Mirio once said "it was built for you"
-Centipeder patronizes Bubble girl when she acts like a child, she doesn't know when shes acting like a child she thinks this is her normal behavior and reactions to certain situations but she is a little childish
-When Nighteye gets injured he doesn't die but he retires cause he has a bad heart now and a hole in his chest and a robotic arm and he isn't stupid, Centipeder is the head of the agency it belongs to Nighteye and if he isn't so sure on what to do he asks him but ultimately he's kinda running the show now. He choose her to be his personal sidekick over Lemillion because shes more responsible then him

If you were asked who is the better antagonist in JJK or BNHA, who would they be? I found some similar ask that asked, "who is better antagonists between Kenjaku, Toji or Sukuna"? And what I think about is the antagonist in BNHA are cool, too.... What do you think?
I can't tell if this is a comparative question of JJK vs BNHA or just generally the best of both soooo I'll try to answer to the best of my interpretation.
⚠️ There's a spoiler warning for the below, I'm just riding the struggle bus today so assume spoilers through recent chapters.
Tumblr media
Jujutsu Kaisen
🏆 Best Antagonist: Kenjaku
The Competition
Don't get me wrong, Mahito and Toji are certified demons too but their impact on the story is not as expansive. Admittedly, this is kind of silly considering Toji and his justified denouncement of jujutsu culture is precisely what creates the chasm that informs the greater conflicts we're currently in the midst of. Personally, I think Toji will make one more comeback on the side of the good guys, somehow. It's not outside of the realm of possibility and, based on spoilers around Chapter 236, he's been potentially alluded to as some sort of insurance. Who else's father could Gojo have been talking about unless Jin is still alive?
Regarding Mahito, I think an interesting insight into his character is buried in one of the light novels. He mentions it in the fight with Yuji to a degree to in that he's a mirror of humanity. He rampages as he sees violence in the world. But when encountered by a human at peace, he, too, found peace and his interest piqued. Ultimately, Mahito was a knife in the heart that just kept twisting but he was nothing more than a rabid dog interested in seeing what kind of curse Yuji's turmoil might bring about. How many times could he rend his soul without laying a finger on him.
Kenjaku, however, is insidious in the fact that his power spans millennia and I don't think we've seen the full exposition of his impact. With his ability to commandeer bodies, he did whatever he wanted throughout history using the bodies of countless people and why? Sick curiosity. There's no rhyme, no reason, he just wants to see how big of a clusterfuck he can make of the world and, so far, we've only seen a few of the ripples of that. He is both unpredictable and, yet, exceptionally cunning and resourceful. Who knows how many back alley deals he made with the reincarnated sorcerers. How many other cursed paintings, artifacts or vessels he forged that haven't revealed themselves. Where Toji and Mahito kinda allowed themselves to fly off the handle, Kenjaku is playing a long game of chess. I've considered whether Geto was doomed by the narrative and, I think we'll find that Kenjaku was a part of what pushed Geto to his ultimate defect to better line up his next body. Scarily, Kenjaku had the time and means to plot where that possibility isn't that far off.
Sukuna, similarly cunning, is the villain of the story with all the traditional markers of being the big bad and, seemingly, unredeemable but Kenjaku effectively could have put the whole course of events into action a thousand years ago. I also always think its funny that Gojo randomly rattles off facts from other eras/periods. I don't know that that isn't by design either.
Tumblr media
My Hero Academia
🏆 Best Antagonist: Dabi
The Competition
I think we've seen the resolution of Toga's story and, as far as antagonists go, she added a degree of mayhem on the final battlefield when, in mourning Twice, she let forth his Sad Man's Parade. While she has the quintessential recipe of being cast aside, misunderstood and vilified on the basis of her quirk (see also: Spinner and Shigaraki), I think she more served as a device for character development or a parallel to Deku. Having found acceptance with Ochako, her current status is unknown.
Spinner really had a big moment at the hospital but namely as a pawn for AFO. He kind of waffled around, wringing his hands over whether LOV was true to Stain's vision before choosing to follow Shigaraki. But his lack of resolve coupled with a forced power up ultimately fumbles what could have been a huge win for the LOV at the hospital. Actually, Spinner probably could have been utilized better but his story was overshadowed by Shoji coming into his own. Maybe his purpose was really just to be the real time example of someone wanting to do the right thing, ending up on the wrong side, having so many opportunities to do better but sacrificing that path for whatever acceptance he found with the League.
Shigaraki is an obvious choice for villain but, we can see how tenuous his connection to villainy is. He, like the other members of the LOV, are ultimately the product of never having someone reach out a hand to help but I think we're getting closer to Deku untangling the knot of his trauma and it'll be what frees him of the grasp AFO has on him. Further, while Shigaraki was ultimately dubbed the prodigal successor of AFO, his struggle to enact a grand scheme to unite the League and the Paranormal Liberation Front, I think, is more indicative of what we've noted to be a really immature mindset. He's no diabolical genius.
Which leads me to the best antagonist, in my opinion. Ain't no vengeance like that of Touya MF Todoroki. In addition to burying the lede of his identity for so long just to build up to one magnificent, triumphant dance, Dabi's origin story is so zesty. Born into the pinnacle Haves of quirk society, he was on track to follow in Endeavor's footsteps only to have so many odds stacked against him. The right quirk but incompatible with his body. Still, he wasn't deterred and his similarly obsessive commitment to besting All Might for Enji causes him to self destruct. He winds up in AFO's clutches. Found and rehabilitated by Garaki, he dips without so much as a name only to resurface years later. Still a phantom. Still guided by his twisted need to make his father just as miserable as he was when he found out he was not sought after despite the years that passed. Not only that but, spoiler for the big Shiggy Showdown (chapter number escapes me), but he is unaffected by the reconciliation of his family. Unbothered by their pleas or the fact that he'd burned through his own skin, nerves, pain receptors, organs. He is possessed by his need to wreak havoc and he cries tears of blood to boot. This doesn't undermine the tragedy of his origin story - his stolen birthright, the inequities of what should have been his given his quirk and tenacity, the fact that at the height of his power he can't help but cry. Just like the rest of the League of Villains, he is just the product of a family who did not adequately support or care for him and a society that cast him aside. He just also happens to have grander schemes at play, the exposition of which provided a more comprehensive understanding of hero society and its failures which was Shigaraki's desire all along to shift the whole paradigm. What sets Dabi apart from other antagonists, in my opinion, is that there really aren't villains in MHA. Just people waiting to be moved by how earnest Deku is or rehabilitated by their own recognizance. This is as it applies to Stain, Gentle Criminal, La Brava, Lady Nagant and even Overhaul (so I won't bother going into them individually). But Dabi stays 10 toes down on his commitment to madness. I'm still uncertain whether his charred corpse will actually see redemption but it stands to be seen.
All For One is of course the irredeemable demon lord and I'm not sure the power of friendship is going to affect anything there.
Winner Take All
Best Antagonist: Kenjaku. This largely stems from my belief that, despite his death in recent chapters, we're going to get additional exposition into his depraved dealings or another layer of his plans that lays in wait and is ready to devastate us all. The possibilities there are endless with the way the story oscillates from present to past.
Bonus, Best Villain: Gege Akutami. They know what they did.

hiii i hope you're well, for the anime asks: 2, 6, 8, 11, 22, 23, 24, 29!
Oooooooo I am READY to answer all of these questions omg thank you for picking so many!!!!
2. first anime crush
Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket. I watched the 2001 anime back when I was in middle school and I remember convincing myself I was genuinely in love with him, it was so bad. I wrote self-insert fanfiction about him falling in love with me on Wattpad. I no longer have those feelings for him lol but I do love him as a character, he's one of my all time favorites.
6. popular anime you didn’t like
I wouldn't say that I didn't like Kuroko no Basket, but it just didn't interest me. I watched about ten episodes before dropping it, I just didn't care for any of the characters and there wasn't anything that made me want to see them succeed.
8. anime character you are most like
I heavily identify with both Yuki Sohma from Fruits Basket and Deku from mha. There are certain people pleasing aspects and a desperation to be liked and accepted from both of them that I really identify with. I also identify a lot with Megumi from jjk and Oikawa from hq, but that's in more of a resigned depression/fear of failure sort of way.
11. anime you didn’t expect to like but did
I don't typically start shows I think I'll dislike, but I was surprised by how much I loved Mob Psycho 100 and Seraph of the End. Both of those became instant favorites when I got into them when I was only expecting to have a standard enjoyment of them.
22. age you started watching anime/person who introduced you to it.
I was in fifth or sixth grade I believe? I had a friend that was a few years older than me that was really into anime and she got me to start watching InuYasha with her and that's basically how it started.
23. unpopular character you love
Gabi from AOT. I LOVE how complex and nuanced her character is. The hate this brainwashed child soldier gets is insane to me. I grieved when Sasha died, but I also understand how Gabi is specifically written to be a foil to Eren—she's has the same rage and hatred and drive that Eren does, but she's able to understand that the world isn't black and white much faster than Eren did. Seeing her slowly grasp that what she's been taught is skewed and twisted by ignorance and fear was amazing, one of my favorite parts of AOT.
24. popular character you hate
Hisoka. I have no clue how he's so popular, I barely gave af about him when I watched the show and he's such a creep, I was always glad when he wasn't around. His ability is cool I guess, but he's just so.... icky. The most interesting about him is his connection to the Phantom Troupe and honestly I can't remember much about their interactions after season 2.
29. anime that deserves another season
Seraph of the End, easily. The show became SUCH a hyperfixation for me when I watched it that I binge read the manga because I needed more. Honestly, I just want to see Mika again and I think the story really picks up from where the anime ends (it does sort of get jumbled and messy further down the line, but I can ignore that).

Fandom song animatic tournament: Side A Round 1
Cupid - Jack Stauber
"How can, Cupid How could you be so cru-u-u-u-uel?"
The other side - The Greatest Showman Musical
"Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play 'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride It'll take you to the other side"
Remember that we're voting on how Iconic they are for ANIMATICS, not for the song itself. In order to make things fair, the tone and mood of the song should not affect how iconic it is (for example, a serious song should not be considered more iconic than a joke song just because it's serious)
Propaganda and animatic links of the songs under the cut:
Cupid - Jack Stauber
Propaganda:
HOW COULD YOU BE SO CRUUUU-E-U-LLLLL
Animatics with the song:
Your Boyfriend
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) Donatello
Good Omens
Your Boyfriend
QSMP Missclickduo
The other side - The Greatest Showman Musical
Propaganda:
uhhh i never watched the greatest showman but the song goes HARD and its cool as fuck to see how ppl portray these opposing tropes & characters in their animatics
Obnoxious as hell but without it weed be down so many homoerotically charged interactions. The enemies to lovers people would be quaking
it was so popular even i wanted to make an animatic of it 😭 (i never did cause i didn’t even have a stylus at the time but i think that was for the better)
Luz and Hunter. Grian and Mumbo / Etho and Bdubs. Hawks and Dabi. I'm sure I'm forgetting something
oh my god??? the homoerotism of trying to convince ur enemy to join ur side??? whats there not to love?
The only objectively good song in The Greatest Showman deserves some respect, god damn it. Also it's a very catchy way to show a character's betrayal/character changes in general.
The song just overall slaps and also it's great for showing characters having a conflict with one trying to convince the other to join the opposing side
its very character driven, so no wonder its very popular. almost every fandom ive been in has an animatic of this song.
Animatics with the song:
Creepypasta Marble Hornets
Karmaland
BNHA Villain Deku
The Owl House
The Promised Neverland
She-Ra
Please be cautious and read the title, description and warning cards on the animatic videos if you decide to watch them. If you've got specific triggers I'd recommend even more caution when watching animatics of fandoms you don't know, since sometimes canon-typical themes don't get warnings.
Please keep in mind that I don't know all the media and fandoms of the animatics provided as examples and I don't have the time (nor the will) to research them all. Don't come into my notes or my ask box complaining about them being included, I will simply block you. If a ship animatic included is about an adult and a minor, do tell me and I'll take it out of the post
