Asking because of the previous ask, are you not a fan of Ethan anymore? If so, why?
It's complicated, I suppose (rant where i talk abt ethan but then also my OCs in general)
I really do not like the first version of Ethan I made like 3 years ago. Obviously I like indulging in devilish ideas but I don't know, it ended up turning into something I didn't really end up liking too much.
Then I revisited and sort of rewrote his story a bit a while back when making the OC archive site (I'm aware the site is not available anymore for the people who asked, I took it down myself) and was much happier with it for a while.
Don't get me wrong, I like Ethan, I know he's the OC people seem to like the most, but it's still like a personal mental battle of like maybe it's too effed up? Even when I draw characters going through unwilling/accidental extreme weight gain, I make them either ambivalent or accepting of their situation, but for Ethan it's kind of like torture, and I can't bring myself to get like..aroused and excited to draw more of that *personally*.
Changing up his lore wouldn't really work either since his story is based on helplessness and stuff, and it'd be disingenuous to make him be happy with his situation, so I've just sort of subconsciously decided to leave him as is and treat his content as its self contained story more than nsfw art to goon to, if that makes sense. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking about it too much, but just wanted to say what goes through my head.
I also don't really revisit Ethan for the same reason I don't tend to draw much of all the past OCs I've made, as I see each of them as a way to explore different facets of how weight gain can manifest and adapt into a character's life to create a story around it, and I feel like I've covered most of the ground around them already.
All of my OCs come from a sudden short prompt that pops up in my head, usually out of nowhere. I suddenly wanted to make a big-hearted southern farm guy who was super massive and I immediately ran to draw Rudy, for example.
I draw them a little reference, with my typical bullet points next to them with basic info to get an idea of what their dynamic is like, and a more lengthily written backstory or description if I'm feeling fancy under it, and then for the next week or two it's all art of them and answering questions about them... and then another idea pops up, and a new OC comes in.
It's not that I get tired of them, but I just simply do not know what to draw with them. Ethan is the biggest outlier in this case, since he is my fattest OC and half immobile, you just don't really know how else to bring something new that's not him laying on his bed at a slightly different angle.
I guess that's why I always do OC asks, I sort of need them to be able to know what to draw with them, since I struggle coming with things like that by myself, and you know I always like avoiding drawing a character in a void with no context.
The Genshin Obesity AU is my longest running like "project"?? thing just because there is an endless amount of content I can pull from since there's all these characters, places and possibilities I can write from. My OCs are obviously much more self-contained and moreso serve as individual experiments to explore different people and scenarios, so after the 10th drawing of them... I genuinely do not know what else I can add to them.
I hope that was a bit insightful. I know most of you guys love Ethan, and I love him too! But I don't know, I guess this is why I don't tend to have immobile/near immobile OCs, since the potential art ideas for them drop to just them sitting on a mattress or sitting on the floor and I'm just left confused on what to do with them.
Maybe Ethan in his college days is something you guys might be interested in? Or I don't know, I'm just writing this post as my thoughts enter my head.
Sorry for the rant, I sure do love typing, hope this clears up some questions people might've had

Master List: Gay K-pop Smut
Tumblr media
There's gay smut on this blog! 😄
This blog has primarily been about straight sex: male k-pop idols with either fictional female characters, or with you as the (female) reader. For a year that's all I wrote!
But due to popular demand I've expanded my horizon and opened up to writing gay smut too. In this post you will find an overview of my gay series and links to individual stories.
My Gay Series
I now run several gay series on the blog. The links lead to their respective pages on Story Finder, my external website where you can browse the archives.
Gay K-pop One-shots – Plot-driven smut stories with fluff. Member-on-member or idol x male reader.
Quick Fix Gay – Very short stories that focus more on the sex. Member-on-member or idol x male reader.
Dating Ban Series – The boys of a given group can't date girls. As their gay friend you help them out with their sexual frustrations. All stories are idol x male reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
➕ Stories are published continuously without a schedule.
➕ Requests are open!
Identifiers
To make it easier for you to find stories you like I include identifiers at the start of each post/story:
🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏻 MEMBERS: The k-pop idol(s) the story is about. I'll also specify if it's member-on-member, member-on-reader, and who is the top/vers/bottom in the scenario.
📦 CONTENT: Key words describing the sex, like Missionary (position), Riding (position), Cumshot, Jerking off, Blowjob, Outdoors, etc.
🍆 TYPE: Refers to the sex and can be:
VANILLA: Sweet, innocent or inexperienced sex
MEDIUM: Regular good sex
WILD: Usually rougher and more explicit
STEAMY: Sensual and passionate involving all senses
UNCONVENTIONAL: Any of the above but with a twist, for example an unusual kink
Posting Schedule
My gay stories generally don't have a fixed schedule. They can appear at any time, though I limit myself to max once per week to mix with my straight content.
I may sometimes announce schedules in advance. For example, I tend to release Quick Fix stories in "seasons" with a story per week for several weeks. I've also done "Gay Thursdays" where every Thursday for several weeks I publish a pre-announced gay story.
You can check the Up-coming Stories page on Story Finder (external website) to see if there are any new gay stories coming soon!
Stories
Below is my master list of individual gay stories. The stories are listed per series and alphabetically per group and member.
* Listed more than once because more than one idol is the main character.
** Listed more than once because is not the main character – part of another member's story.

Jisung Pt. 2 – You satisfy Jisung's needs.

wait can you talk more about christmas 2018?
Anonymous asked: Just what you said in your post! "the first christmas where they publicly spent that much time together" did they usually keep quiet about where they were?
i can't speak to the 2014-16 era because i fell out of touch with the fandom at that time, but i was absolutely around during 2017 & 18. both of those years marked HUGE shifts, and both of those huge shifts came at the tail end of gamingmas/dilmas. you can check out my original frog theory post and my frog theory tag for elaboration on the function of gamingmas irt all of this. as just like. prerequisite framework reading.
ANYWAYS. the thing that was such a big deal was that dan was openly visiting the lesters with phil. yes, you can visit friends' families during the holidays. but it's much more frequently something you do with a significant other. so the ruckus was because dan and phil knew the conclusions people would jump to if we knew dan visited the lesters at christmas, and they still let us know that it happened.
(this got disgustingly long, so i'm putting the rest of this post under the cut.)
part of what made that such a big deal was having that happen after the no homo/closet era, the "we're not together we're not even that close of friends we're just roommates" era. the significance of their trust & openness was MUCH more tangibly felt. a way larger percent of the fandom at that time had been present when the vday video leaked/had joined shortly afterwards when that was one of the biggest things impacting both phandom culture and our relationship with dnp.
so in 2017 when we got a glimpse of dan up north at the lesters' in a couple of cornelia's instagram stories? we lost our fucking minds about it. it was only 2 (i think) background cameos, but it was quite literally unprecedented. it's not something that qualifies as openly spending time together at the holidays because of the method throug which we found out about it, but like. there's no way they didn't know that cornelia was posting those, and no way that they didn't know we'd know about it.
when i say we, i mean dedicated phannies. people who could possibly be reading this post, not casual subscribers to the gaming channel. because when it comes to casual viewers, or even people who aren't a part of dan and phil's usual audience at all? there's a lot of methods of communication that they just plain aren't paying attention to and won't be aware of.
the most direct, permanent methods dan and phil have for communicating are videos on either of their individual channels or on dan and phil games, and after that is instagram grid posts or tweets, as well as videos on their side channels. twitter replies, insta stories, livestreams, and their public likes on any social media platform? those are for a more private audience. their appearances in other people's posts reaches a similarly small audience.
knowing that they were starting to be more and more open through the communication channels only open between them and dedicated fans, and that it was a trend - december 2017 is also when phil, in a liveshow, read out someone's "you and dan are so married" comment and just.. laughingly said "it-it's a useful thing". (link to gifs of that). it wasn't a one-off. it was a trend.
and compared to 2018, it was dust. they spent the whole year becoming increasingly open with us, through increasingly direct methods. it was a whirlwind. even for people who've watched all the videos and liveshows, you don't have the whole picture. the onslaught was coming at us from every angle at all moments. you'd have to also explore the full archives of social media posts, insta stories, meet and greets , social media likes, and like.. the archived recordings of every interactive introverts tour date. it was batshit.
it was genuinely one of the most insane years of my life. i was having physical symptoms. we all knew what was coming, we all could tell they were working up towards coming out, but nobody wanted to trust that we were right about that. my dashboard was regularly at a fever pitch.
and december 2018 was the culmination of everything. and then they were talking directly to us in a liveshow and being. insanely open. they told us that dan was going with phil to visit the lesters. and they told us that pinof was ending. and then dilmas started dropping, aggressively cementing the fact that dab and evan were sim-universe proxies for dnp, while dan and phil posted instagram grid and story updates about visiting the lesters. and then dab and evan came home to the howlter house for the holidays. and got engaged.
and then they went on hiatus, and we pretty much did not hear from dan until he came out.
the point is. we knew there was a fucking insane energy. we KNEW something big was coming. we fucking knew. it was a two year build up to dan and phil being the most publicly gay they'd ever been on the gaming channel and every single other platform - and part of that insanity was them being open about dan visiting the lesters, which coincided with them having their proxy sims get gay engaged while visiting family.
"did they usually keep quiet about where they were?" anon, the last time before all this that they had openly acknowledged dan visiting the lesters during the holidays was 2009.
the way they were acting over christmas of 2018 had me experiencing shrimp emotions to such an intense degree i was having verifiable psychic visions.

"LOVELY CHAOTIC" - TECH/JAR JAR BINKS 💖
WARNINGS: none, pure fluff.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Tech studies the mission report with rapt attention. It's not one of the batch's; but of the last trip of General Skywalker with Torrent Company, a small selected group of the 501st. It's a habit he has developed over the years; simultaneously checking as many as the GAR's missions as possible in order to extract valious information for future endevours. There's much to be learnt from past mistakes and errors; or conclusions –patterns– to abstract from triumphs. Usually, he doesn't delve in them too much –it would delay him in other equally important tasks–; but this one has individually stand out to him.
There has been a civilian involved, which is an anomally by itself. His name, upon further investigation, is Jar Jar Binks; a gungan made part of Naboo's representatives for the Senate, aiding Padme Amidala.
Tech had not heard much of gungan's before. He delves into a long research; his overactive mind quickly devouring articles upon articles and as many encyclopedias as he can find. He learns that there are two subspecies of gungans; Jar Jar Binks being an otolla, presenting with a lankier appearance and pronounced haillus as opposed to the more robust complexion of the ankura. It takes another hour for him to study their underwater cities; and by the time his brothers have fallen asleep, Tech is already an expert in the gungan tongue and their culture and traditions.
He navigates through the GAR's archives with ease and is surprised to find out just how many years has this Jar Jar Binks aided the Republic. The gungan had even fought along a padawan Obi-wan Kenobi and his master at the time, Qui-Gon Jhin; he had been there when the two Jedis had found General Skywalker on the warm sands of Tatooine. Tech takes the time to learn all of his story; and his intrigue only grows with every detail he finds.
Tech is a naturally curious person. He finds almost everything interesting; a trait often mocked by others in his early years. It's what makes him a good soldier, though, so he's not in any sense ashamed; there's nothing wrong in being appropiately informed. If any, it's others who should feel embarassed upon their blatant ignorance.
The clone is aware of how his honesty can often be confused with narcisism.
Tech plugs his headphones in and watches the few videos he can find about his most recent discovery; a small chuckle escaping here and there upon the gungan's antics. He's definitely a curious creature as well –though perhaps in not the same use of the word–.
Time passes by –more and more reports been discovered in the clone's short free time in between the Batch's own missions–. Without even noticing it, Tech grows fond of the excentric gungan.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
He has always been a very straightforward person; so when he sees Jar Jar Binks in person on his way to the Marauder for their next mission, Tech doesn't think it twice. He aproaches him so directly that the gungan almost jumps in surprise.
"You must be Jar Jar Binks".
It's just a statement; but he guesses that's a good opening as any other. He's a stranger; this first encounter is going to be weird no matter his choice of words. He's not too worried about it.
The gungan blinks back at him, still a bit thrown back at the clone's sudden arrival.
Tech notices the humanoid is quite taller than him, which is an unusual situation to experience; he is used to feel tall surrounded by clones –just a few inches– shorter than him.
"Misa surprised you know me! Who are you?"
Tech controls the involuntary smile that threatens to spread through his lips upon hearing the entonations of his peculiar voice. At first, the clone had thought Jar Jar's way of speaking was just a consequence of the gungan's tongue; but after listening to several audios of other's talking he had concluded the very drastic highs and downs of Jar Jar's entonation were simply his. It was just his way of speaking; pushing surprise, excitement, and life into the words.
"I'm CT-9902, Tech. I'm a member of Clone Force 99, a squad made of defective clones with desirable mutations".
The gungan tilts his head with his words; his long haillus flapping gently with the movement. He looks just as –if not even more– confused as a second ago.
"You look normal human to me!" He studies him. "No like regular clone, no... What makes tusa special? Misa very, very curious!"
Tech gives him a quick sum up of the Batch's abilities; though this just seems to bring more and more questions from the gungan. It's sort of endearing, really, to find someone that seems to be just as curious as himself; the need for knowledge bubbling over Jar Jar's tongue in lively expresions. Tech has the oportunity to saciate his own questions about gungans, about him; and the conversation is only brought to an end when Hunter enters the hangar and shoots them a confused glance before gesturing for Tech to get moving with a jerk of his chin.
Reluctantly, Tech leaves Jar Jar behind and follows his brother to the Marauder. He is somewhat comforted thinking he and the gungan could be considered acquaitances now.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Weeks of similar interactions later, Tech gives Jar Jar a gift. Jar Jar holds the object within his hands, stunned; eyes comically large. It's a leather vambrace. It could mean nothing for other species, just an ordinary gift, but to gungans this is... Gifting a piece of protection is seen as a declaration of interest. But surely...
"This is a very special gift!" He half shouts, half whispers, eyes flickering between the object in his hands and the human. "Tech is a very smart clone. Tusa knows what this means?"
Tech's answer is a quiet –daresay, timid– nod.
Jar Jar makes another surprised sound with his throat.
"Misa can't believe it!" He frantically gestures around. "Misa clumsy, always find misa in silly, silly mistakes! Tusa smartest person in the world. Why tusa like Jar Jar Binks?"
A rush of confidence gives Tech courage to soldier through his next words.
"From a very and almost obsessively organised person, I find your personality lovely chaotic".
Jar Jar seems to brighten up, reading the honesty in the clone's eyes; his laugh freely echoing in the emptiness of the hangar.
He grins at Tech, and the soldier feels a metaphorical blanket of warmth gently falling around him.
"Misa didn't see this coming, but misa is very, very happy!"
Jar Jar is suddenly hugging him; and Tech is inmediately reminded of just how tall gungans really are. There's still many things to find out; and he'll let them come to life patiently and naturally.
THE END.

2024/5/24 ❅ “honeymoon” and “the lin kuei archives” update
Let me preface this update by emphasizing that this is just an example and explanation of why I have chosen to not allow the internet to see my Mortal Kombat 1 works anymore. I have no intent to instigate any drama or anything of that nature. I'm just getting some things off my chest here, and then I will likely never write a post about this again.
Thanks to another “Lin Kuei Archives” reader, I’ve been informed of another 'questionable' post that mimicks my original work. I will not be linking it or mentioning the name of the tumblr account, but for those who regularly browse the ‘Bi-Han’ or the 'bi han x reader' tags, you will have likely seen it already as it was posted in the last couple of days.
In short, the post reads as an almost complete, ordered summarization of “The Lin Kuei Archives: Sub-Zero” (part 1 of TLKA series) which I completed in November 2023. From beginning to end. Even the epilogue. Even the little things. The only real differences being Reader herself and a few other things. But, essentially — in so many words — it is the bullet point version of my story down to even the most minute details. It is not the first time I come across something like this, and I'm usually one to brush it off, however this time it's gotten under my skin a bit more than expected.
For the readers that have been wondering about the issues I've been facing in the last several months, or if there even has been an issue in the first place: well, in short, it’s cases like this that have been particularly tiresome.
Oneshots, headcanons and stylized ficlets that have been structurally twisted with a few changes here and there are often hard to find and are sometimes buried in the tags. These are almost impossible to deal with since they are inherently different in terms of formatting, but if you are familiar with my story and read part one especially, you’ll be able to recognize it right away, as the reader who notified me of it was able to. From things such as Bi-Han’s reluctant hospitality towards our dear reader (who also happens to be staying with the Lin Kuei at the request of Liu Kang, hmm) to specifics like 'brunch in the gardens.'
(These are the only references to the post that I'll make. I really don't want to give the poster any more of my attention.)
Unfortunately, it is always Part 1 that is making its rounds, as during its tenure, it reached quite a broad audience of viewership. I also left it unlocked and open for all eyes to see for quite sometime; having only restricted it on AO3 sometime in March 2024 before hiding it just last month on the 16th (when I posted the original series update.)
I know that there is a reasonable amount of risk that must be considered with sharing your work on the web so openly like this, but let this be an example for anyone out there who wants to post their work to AO3 and Tumblr, especially: Not all who are subscribed to your fic have the best intentions. And -- on the other end of the spectrum -- your work may and likely will influence others’ creations, and you’ll have to come to terms with that or at least accept it/be okay with it. Once even a few eyeballs have glazed over it, that’s that, really. Your work will be out there for the taking, and, to some extent, you’ll lose creative control over it.
I have come across other authors and fics that have taken inspiration from my own and some have given credit while others have put enough of their own spin on it to the point where the similarities are irrelevant. I am not naive: I know perfectly well that it’s possible for two individuals to have shared ideas and similar plotlines, even eerily so. Coincidences happen. That's life.
But stuff like this, in my eyes, is too adjacent to go unnoticed. When it’s condensed like this with a smattering of very specific details interwoven within, it makes it hard for me to defend myself, as I would basically have to screenshot or repost or publicize my entire fic again. And — knowing that there are a few people out there who have routinely tried to circulate my work on other websites — I am simply too terrified to do that, as I know “Honeymoon” and the other parts might instantly be downloaded the moment I choose to make them public again.
(Further info on this: when you privatize your work in an AO3 collection, as I have, the moment I list it as ‘revealed,’ all who are subscribed to me or my fic will receive email notifications that there’s an update, even if there is no new chapter. I hope that makes sense. For anyone who wants/needs to privatize their work on AO3 for whatever reason, this blog post does a great job explaining the process.)
Maybe I’m too old-school or sensitive or paranoid for modern fandom culture… but to that one anon that told me “this happens, too bad:” well, it’s this sort of thing that makes me want to protect “Honeymoon” and prevent the entire series from seeing the light of day ever again. As of right now, it will likely stay hidden on AO3 indefinitely. I have never cross-posted and do not cross-post anywhere, so if anyone ever sees the entire fanfic anywhere at all, please reach out to me and let me know.
If you are a trusted reader/friend/mutual of mine, chances are you already have access to the story and that’s all that matters to me. 🩵 And if you were a regular reader-commenter, I appreciate you so much and thank you deeply for your engagement, insight and support over the last several months. 🤍 Thanks for reading and I hope all have been having a lovely spring season so far. xo

I am WAY impressed that you found that story by sideris on the Wayback Machine! Can you tell me how you did it? Like what search terms/commands did you use? There are several works that are gone from AO3 that I'd love to find. You don't have to answer publicly if you don't want to. Thanks!
Reply: I'm sure there are lots of better tutorials on how to use the Wayback Machine on the Internet Archive but here's my method:
Find the link of the fic you want to retrieve. I do this by googling the fic title and author, which usually leads to a link on a rec list.
Plug the dead link into the Wayback.
If you're lucky, it will return a set of dates when the page was archived. You may need to check more than one date to find the most complete version.
If you're unlucky, it may say there are no archived pages for that url. You can then try variations such as adding ?view_full_work=true at the end, or finding a link to an individual chapter and trying that.
Very rarely, you can find the download version. For example, here is a download version of Bakers With Benefits by Raina_at (this is not a deleted fic, it's just an example). The template link is https://download.archiveofourown.org/downloads/PUT THE FIC NUMBER HERE/Put_The_Title_Here.pdf (or .mobi, .html, .epub, .azw3) This is trickier because the title may not be the full title. I don't know if there is an exact algorithm for how the title gets rendered. The title needs to have underscores between the words.
I hope that helps you, and if anyone has any additional tricks or tips, feel free to comment.

Tell me more about Calia, Alee and Philomena?
Why ABSOLUTELY
They all grew up in the Temple together. Calia and Philomena are roughly around the same age (Calia's older, but only by about six months) and were creche-mates, while Alee is their senior by ten years, so as younglings she was kind of like their older-sister figure.
By the time the two younger women were old enough to be taken as padawans, Alee had already been knighted after being under the tutelage of a Nautolan master, Jax Stree. Calia, per tradition, learned at the side of a fellow Mirialan, Lenore Taalo, while Philomena in turn was trained by the Rodian Lo'ta Fenn.
Only marginally related, but Alee and Philomena both have blue-bladed lightsabers, while Calia's is green.
Before the breakout of the war, Alee worked in the Temple's Halls of Healing due to her strong aptitude for Force healing. Calia and Philomena, upon their knighting, became a crechemaster and an archivist, respectively (but you already knew this). This was a few months before the events of Attack of the Clones.
When war does, inevitably, break out, Alee is drafted into the GAR and made General of the 924th Corps (including our BOYS Anchor Squad). The Jedi manage to keep Calia and Mena from being drafted in the same way- their argument is that they were just knighted and their jobs at the Temple are too important; it's not watertight but it's the best they can do and at least gets the Senate to temporarily shut up and begrudgingly put them on the reserve forces instead of the front lines.
Outside of Alee's main company (Dawn Patrol- I don't know if I'm going to talk about them too often but several individuals may come up from time to time), she does in fact spend the most time working closely with Anchor Squad. Their creation was a specific request of hers, as her healer's heart wanted a division dedicated to repair and defense instead of only offensive action.
Calia's little group of younglings consists of the Togruta twins Shash and Tammi Tabundi (six years old), the Mon Calamarian Elris Keercher (eight years old), the human Zellie Mako (ten years old), and the Tholothian Padta Leel (thirteen years old).
As you might be able to gather from her… uh… near-silent online presence, Philomena is a rather quiet individual who tends to keep to herself, and she spends most of her time engrossed in the Archives. However, once you get to know her she's very friendly and funny. She and Ticker of Anchor Squad are very dear and very close (and strictly platonic) friends, bonded by their introverted natures and love of literature (though she prefers stories, while his domain is usually medical nonfiction); whenever he's planetside, he stops by to visit her in the Archives and they spend hours just reading and drinking tea together in near-total silence. (She's also, as an archivist, able to occasionally hook him up with real, paper-and-ink books in addition to all the holos.)
:)))))))

Sneak Peak:
Bailey arrives at work earlier than usual, mostly because John got called in for an emergency in the middle of the night. Which means, that she was alone this morning. And when she's alone, everything just goes a little faster. Despite her early start, it's late morning since she has a later shift today. She hasn't heard from John yet and doesn't know whether that's a good or a bad sign.
Her phone rings right before entering the fire station, and she sees John's name on the screen. Finally! She answers, but she can't manage to say a word as John launches into a tale that seems like it's straight out of a fantasy novel or something. Well, he's definitely taking the lead in the realm of unbelievable stories now. This round clearly goes to the LAPD.
She makes a deal with him that she'll try to come by on her lunch break when he's still at Shawn Memorial and bring food for the whole gang. John mentions that they might need to wait for a bit, considering there are numerous injured individuals, and they are relatively unscathed, except for Tim. He has been hit the hardest.
As expected, she spends her lunch break with John at the hospital. She finds everyone in the waiting area. Well, not quite everyone, she only meets John, Celina and Aaron. The rest is either receiving treatment or being examined. She gives John a quick hug and then they all dive in on the food she brought.
"Maybe you could give the food to the others before it gets cold. They're likely in one of the examination rooms, passing the time until a nurse is available to attend to them. You know how it goes. First, there's waiting... then more waiting... and finally, more waiting." John's assessment seems accurate.
"Yeah, I'll go and find them. It can't be that difficult." With that, she's already on her way with the remaining three bags in her hand. She likes John's colleagues. She likes them a lot. Somehow, they are all like a little family. John has told her all about everything that happened over the years, the drama, the trauma, everything. And that seems to have brought them all extremely close together. She loves spending her free time with Angela, Nyla and Lucy. John's rookie Celina has even slept over several nights and she has become close friends with her. They are not just work colleagues; they are family.
Bailey asks a nurse in which rooms the injured LAPD officers are being treated and whether she can bring them something to eat. The nurse says yes and points to three rooms with sliding doors at the far end of the corridor.
She approaches the first room, finding the door ajar. Peeking inside, she discovers it empty. Alright, on to the next room. As she nears it, she catches hushed voices engaged in conversation—no, not talking, more like whispering. She stops by the wall just outside the open sliding door. Well, that is an exaggeration; it's barely ajar. She isn't sure why she stopped; perhaps it's the quiet nature of their conversation, or maybe it's because she recognizes the voices, or possibly she just doesn't want to interrupt them.
The voices unmistakably belong to Lucy and Tim, although she can't hear exactly what they are saying. Opting not to interrupt, she chooses to wait until they finish their conversation. In general, it is considered impolite to interrupt a conversation between two individuals. So, she is leaning against the wall for a moment, she patiently listens. It doesn't take long before the voices fade.
Assuming that they are finished, she takes a step forward and reaches for the handle with the intention of entering the room. However, just before she does, she looks up again and stops in her tracks. She stands there, frozen in place peeking through the small slit that's not wide enough for her to enter and she refrains from sliding the door further. She can't believe her eyes. She closes and reopens them, blinking several times. She realizes that she is not imagining it; it's really happening. HOLY SHIT!

Shilling my queer fanfic for calendar reasons
Hey everyone, since it's Pride Month I figured I'd post some of... well you read the title, you know what's up.
Easily the most accessible thing I got out right now with explicitly queer characters is a little trilogy of Amphibia fanfic I like to call "Lost in Amphibia". It's three individual stories, each of them accompanying one of the girls in their adult lives. The first one is "Coming Out", about Marcy going to a therapist to talk more openly about Amphibia for the first time, but then ends up doing a tangent and coming out as aromantic.
This one is specifically aromantic representation, not asexual or aroace -- I just felt like aroace usually gets mushed together all the time, so I figured I could try to talk about one of them without the other.
The second one is Anne's chapter, "Missing". in which Anne, while not queer herself, eventually confides about her mental health with her friends, and during it, Sasha shares a personal story about how it was to have a trans significant other around her family, who doesn't support her.
Being transparent -- this story is a lot more about mental anguish from Anne's part than about Sasha's queerness, and I wrote Anne as straight. Don't want to start Pride month baiting you, but if that sounds interesting, hey check it out--
The last and third one, however, is about how queer Sasha is, and a lot of other things, but her queerness is pretty key to the story. It's long, it assumes you read the others, I don't quite know how well it ages thematically, and please feel free to just tell me if it reads poorly. It's called "Fear Not" and it ends the trilogy.
Fuck that was a lot, okay. I have other stories with queer themes that I am less confident recommending -- one would be the Steven Universe fanfic The Diamond Authority, which I am holding back because it is incredibly long, and the other would be X-Men fanfiction Check, which is about Magneto and Xavier being there for each other in a bad moment, not quite having the language to say to each other what their relationship is, and pussyfooting around it. You know, like the comics! Which is why hey if you're interested feel free to scroll down my finished works, I haven't put that many stories there so it should come up soon.
I also got an original story I might publish on Amazon for the minimum amount which is about a lot, but also about a protagonist figuring out their assigned gender is not the one they want to use after a significant life event. More to come on that later, especially if there's interest.
Either way, hey, I was born in Pride Month and I never celebrate because for most of my life I didn't really consider myself a part of it, so I figured it would be nice to do it at least once now that it's... shit, sinking in, I guess. A lack of community means I don't really very secure in the flag I believe I was assigned by the internet, but I do like writing about identity a lot, so the thoughts come out one way or another.
Hope you like the art! Or at least don't get annoyed reading it! Happy Pride Month and please feel free to tell me if this shit is tacky, people have such strange relationships with fanfiction that they don't have with fanart, I never know how this comes off.

Steel closets : voices of gay, lesbian, and transgender steelworker by Anne Belay, available on the Internet Archive
Transcript:
Though Jay, possibly even further isolated as a gay man, has often worked in group settings, and describes the constant homophobic banter and jokes that then filled his days, he now works alone up in a pulpit. Still, he's a personable guy, and people drop by to pass the time, and "it's usually about really nonsense stuff, but like they'll make faggot gestures, tell faggot jokes, talk about getting their dicks sucked, and bend over. This one black guy teases me all the time about being gay for a joke, and I say, 'Come on, once you have black you never go back.' There are guys out there I totally fantasize about like crazy. But they're the type of guys they're so straight, they're liter- ally homophobic." Here, conversation isn't about sharing experiences, as in Erin's story, but about power plays and teasing. Jay says it's nonstop, constant insults. "And they'll say, 'Hey come on, why don't you give me a blow job, why don't you come suck my dick, bitch.' And I'm like, 'Drop your pants, let's go,' and they're like, 'Fuck you.' Or they say, 'Bend over, I'll give you what I've got,' and I'm like, 'OK, come over, I'm ready.' I go, 'You know me, I'd love to get you some place, take your pants down, and we'll go to town.' And they think I'm joking. I haven't lied to them one time, you know the thing of it is, if they ever, ever, ever find out I'm gay, I've always said I was, they just don't believe me. And this is all the time." Jay admits to being gay ironically-with an exaggeration that insists otherwise-and he's terrified ("ever, ever, ever") that his actual, lived gayness might someday be revealed. Queer workers deploy individual strategies to remove their real thoughts, their real self, from their interactions at work. Day after day, year after year, this becomes both dehumanizing and exhausting.
End transcript.

Housekeeping Post
I mentioned a while back that I would be splitting the social media updates tag in two, one for staff/official account updates and one for cast updates. I've completed going through the 300-and-some posts that were in the tag at the time and back-updated everything.
I also mentioned that I would was separating the fanmeet tag by each tour stop. This is done, I just need to go through and add each fanmeet to the timeline. (The general fanmeet tag is still there)
Speaking of the timeline, I reached the limit in number of bullet points allowed per post segment (which I was not aware existed until now), so I had to split it up by year, which is probably more legible anyways. It's likely only a matter of time before it grows long enough to need to be behind a cut, but I'm loathe to do so bc I use it as reference on a regular basis when tagging or dating old events, and I'd rather not have to add an extra click. But it is getting to be a long post.
Y'all may have noticed that I've started tagging posts by month and year. This is to provide a more cohesive idea of the timeline that includes social media posts that aren't tied to a particular event, and to allow people to look at everything from a particular month rather than clicking through individual event tags. Of course, this means I have the work of back-updating the tags, which is easy to do in bulk for event tags, but more time consuming for the social media posts bc I have to do those manually.
As far as archiving goes, I am making more targeted progress on archiving old 2023 posts and have made it through at least half of the year on twitter.
I've come across a lot of IG stories from the Pit Babe workshop last year that I will wait to post, since we're at a point rn where it will jumpscare anyone that does not see this post into thinking that Pit Babe 2 workshops have started. But I've gone ahead and drafted all of it so that it's at least saved. I'm trying to outpace the rate at which things are disappearing off twitter, but we'll see how far I get.
A note on future posts:
As previously mentioned, I will be tagging any Pit Babe 2 Workshop or Filming posts as "#pit babe 2 workshop" and "#pit babe 2 filming"
Any Pit Babe 2 posts will be tagged pit babe 2.
It usually takes me a day or two to get into a new tagging habit, so whenever s2 does start filming, please bear with me if I miss a few posts. I will try my best to keep from spoiling people who don't want it, but I do mess up sometimes.

Inching closer to the modern-day side of my Marvel fanfic's plot
So being a person who wears glasses all the time and has to deal with regular people's often-weird ideas about "not being able to see well," I've got three low-vision/glasses-wearing characters in my Marvel fanfic "The Lightning-Axe," and their powers will never really compensate for their physical eyesight.
Ulupong: Has glasses. A pagan Filipino merfolk prince who also shapeshifts into a cobra (hence his very appropriate name). Besides being a merman who can live and breathe underwater, his only INDIVIDUAL powers are "shapeshifting into a spitting cobra, with the subsequent abilities of 'being the second-most notorious snake in the Philippines'" and "being immune to a LOT of, if not all, poisons." Tends to be a melee fighter because THE BRO CANNOT SEE PAST TEN FEET, do you expect him to be an archer??? It also seems that cobras don't have heat/infrared vision, so this worked out especially great for me!
Sootz': Normal Mayan guy, was born premature and now needs glasses. His powers are "being nice to bats and trying to remove the stigma around them," which helps a LOT in the Otherworld when they end up fighting the Filipino sun-spirit called Araw and Camazotz the bat-god has to end the daytime so their ship can get the fuck away from him.
Araw: The one-eyed primordial Sun of the Tagalogs, implied to be a God-Tier mutant like Kukulkan / Namor. He has fuck-all to do with the Filipino flag as a colonial invention, and he would burn it to ash if he saw one. He lost one eye in a duel with Bathala, and in the story, ancient Tagalogs used to view the mortal world's sun as his other eye and he can't go back to the mortal world proper, or else he'll return to full strength and burn the world just by existing. His powers: Turning into a giant flaming eagle, being immune to most cold temperatures, being immune to most hot temperatures, healing most burn-wounds (but only those caused by FIRE, so ice burns and magical "burns" like the Infinity Gauntlet are out of his jurisdiction) metaphorically "seeing" the multiverse and knowing how a lot of things turned or will-turn out, and not giving a fuck what anyone says about him.
WHO can beat the Tagalog Sun, though? Usually proper deities and very powerful superheroes. The key thing is that he loses his fire-powers at night, so then he "just" becomes a hot immortal Pinoy seer. If you want to beat Araw with water, you need to basically flood the place, or trap him underwater at sunset with some gangster-style cement shoes. (Obviously, he won't drown--but it's gonna take him the night to regain his fire-powers, and by then you've had at least several hours to Run The Fuck Away From Him! He'll still have to LOOK FOR YOU!)
Once the group manages to beat him and he feels extreme remorse over attempting to kidnap Ulupong's girlfriend Lawin and trying to burn off Ulupong's leg, they find out the Sun is a very good ally and he happens to have a history with the Norse gods (in that he got banned from Asgard when Loki and Thor were about three years old).
Unfortunately I made a stupid decision by deciding to worldbuild Talokan's origins, so I've still got about five hundred years of colonization to slog through before we actually MEET these guys!
If anyone wants to check this out alongside my logistics-nerd and grown-up-horse-girl ramblings, please do!

Started watching Mob Psycho 100. About 5 episodes in and yeah, I get why this show is so popular. It's good, even real good, so far. Mob is a good protagonist and the animation has been really impressive.
I also recently started reading One Punch Man and it's fine. I like the art and every now and again it gives me a chuckle. But ultimately I think OPM has a fairly conservative world view that makes me hard to enjoy it as anything more than easy fluff. It's all about the power of the individual and has some really questionable class politics in places. I know it's not intended for a deep read, but I can't help it. I'm glad I'm reading it through the library instead of buying individual volumes. I think I'm like 21 volumes into it.
Back to MP100, I'm still early so I can't say for sure yet, but I feel like it is the better written and realized of the two. I'm a sucker for the monster-of-the-week style format and so far it has been nailing while also developing the characters pretty well.
I gotta say, I'm impressed. I'm usually pretty cautious around checking out popular things since I tend to not enjoy them. So far that's not the case here.
Hmm...I'd say this is probably something better shared on your own blog, especially after I recently discussed how people reading opm at face value while writing it off as shallow fluff is a very unfortunate thing. (There's also no need to sporadically check it thru the library, likely with the dumbed down viz translations mis-marketing it as 'safe' for 12yr olds, when the entire fan archive exists. Also season one is there if you prefer watching.)
Because if you are armed with the knowledge of mp100, then you should be able to recognize ONE's exact same themes within opm, just explored and addressed from the other side of the spectrum. Mp100 just happens to be more straightforward and obvious about it since it's a shonen. But you have to look closer in opm (which is a seinen) - think about why ONE would be presenting some very fucked up things thru the levity and ironic lens of Saitama's pov. Because I guarantee you ONE's not 'supporting' those things you listed. The importance of human connections, emotions, and meaningful relationships in a crapsack world on the brink of humanity's very extinction cannot be understated; thinking that means 'individual power above all else' is the complete opposite of what the story's actually about. Because time and again, power isn't everything, and more often than not, it comes with the monkey's paw curse of being not what the character(s) thought they wanted.
So these are adult characters, dealing and fumbling with adult problems such as ennui, burnout, depression, disillusionment, alienation, emptiness, and loneliness in a hostile world where it's a daily struggle to even live. Where suffering and increasing monsterization go hand in hand. Now think about how this might be very relevant and closely resonate with adult readers struggling thru the very same things. :O Who see opm's characters as some of their biggest healing comforts. (And personally, this is why I prefer opm for its adult cast.) So you can have preferences too and choose to read opm at face value, but at most you're only getting about 30% of the story enjoyment out of it that way. I'd say continue to enjoy mp100, but don't let that hastily affect your judgment in writing off opm's merits either. :'D

Tagged by @racfoam and @the-paper-monkey, thanks!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
183. Technically, I have a second separate account with archived older works that would add on top of this total. It's not really hidden, I just pretend it does not exist.
2. What's your total A03 words count?
1,693,656. Same thing as above. Some of these are from collabs, but most of it is mine.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Harry Potter, exclusively at the moment.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
But For You, I Did (20,976 words)
Harry James [Redacted] (23,832 words)
Sugar, It's Cold Outside (14,548 words)
Thanks for Harry (4,313 words)
Ripples Across the Water (95,453 words)
Personally, I find the top fic to be insufferable in the position that it's at. I have any number of works that I'd consider better 😔
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try my best! Currently I'm sitting about 100+ in the hole. If your comment is nice, I will endeavour to eventually respond 💝
Some people leave a bunch of emoji comments on chapters as they go along, and in that case I usually just respond to the last one rather than each one individually.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
We Still Have Time (9,053 words)
On Samhain, the veil between the physical and spiritual world weakens enough for the living to speak with the dead for a brief period of time. Tom and Harry are graced with twenty-four hours together before one of them must return to the other side, only— Which one of them is it?
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I write a lot of happy endings, but I don't think I could pick just one, or even a few.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I'll say I give as good as I get.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Made a pseud — pwplicity (duplicity) — just for the smut. I think my favourite genre of smut to write is smut crack.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Not my cup of tea.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
On Wattpad, yes.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Plenty! All the translators who I've spoken with were lovely people, and I really truly appreciate all the hard work they put into making fanfic accessible.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Most people, I hope, are familiar with The Immortal Duties of Lord Voldemort. I have collabs outside of that, most notably with @dividawrites and @cindle-writes 💘
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
I'd say this one. Older fandoms hold nostalgia for me, but I've never created as much as I have than for this ship!
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I have a gen fic one-shot that involves terminal illness of sorts. I started it during the pandemic, and it will likely never be completed due to the overall depressing nature of the story.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I like to think I'm funny and I have creative ideas.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm a pantser. And I always have a dozen gdoc tabs open at a time because I keep starting new ideas.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
In moderation, unless we're actively providing translations. Even so, it can break up the flow of reading if I have to dump entire paragraphs into a translator just to understand what's going on.
In certain fandoms, there may be canonical language elements that are frequently used and thus become colloquial in a way — I used to read/write in the Les Miserables fandom, so there was a lot of French.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter... so we've come full circle!
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
This is the question I hate the most because I never have a real answer. Either they're all the best, or I hate them all. Take your pick.

Anyone who wants to answer these, please feel free! 🎃

I will be reblogging a lot of fanart here! I already have a lot in my drafts to reblog soon.
I'd like to maybe post my own headcanons here every so often, since sometimes it's easier to just talk about them instead of writing a big fic.
This will focus primarily on canon, fan-story aus, and headcanons; but I will NOT be reblogging Linked Universe art or other chain AUs. (I love them and have one myself (@meet-again-in-another-life), but at the same time I'm also sick of them and the mischaracterization in a handful of them I'm sorry I'm a coward with a big case of "they would not freaking say that")
princess zelda and hylia haters please leave before you get upset because I will not shut up about her
No NSFW (implied or visible) will be reblogged here.
Content Warning Tags
Workshopping these since I'm not sure what to expect yet! They'll be added as they come up.
Just made this blog because I want to organize stuff a little more! I'd really like to reblog a lot more art that isn't ships, but my side blog is too cluttered!! So I just... made another one. This will focus more on individual characters and familial relationships than any ships, but some might still leak their way through (apologies in advance). If you like Zelink content, though, I try to reblog a lot of great artists and writers that need more recognition at @realm-of-zelink! I encourage going through all the blogs and engaging with their wonderful work. :)
