I know we don't talk and there's stuff we may not agree with. But I am truly sorry you've dealt with a lot of drama over fictional crap. And I'm sorry if my posts in the past ever contributed to that. Hope you have a better day.

Hey... That's all fine, don't worry! After all, it takes a lot of time and Insight to realise that Gehrman is a very gentle and respectful man and Godrick is an absolute gigachad kdkdkshdffhhgfds /lh /lh

But yeah, on a serious note. It was quite frustrating to find out the real motivation under all that... mess was something so pathetic, but at the same time this is what happens when people make engagement with media and fandoms a moral, political act. Not necessarily a problem, after all, I was the one who concluded that the way a fan judges fictional characters and other fans will very well reveal how cruel they are to real people who do something bad, or how much they will forgive based on personal sympathies. And my mad ravings about caring about female characters! I think the problem comes when a fan is so insecure that they have nothing else besides this defence of ideals through fandomry. If your only way to assert yourself is to be a good guy punishing the bad guys, and that mad raving loredigger discovers there is NO bad guy, what is left of you?

This is why it is crucial to have passion for nurturing rather than for undermining! I think if you speak like this, you've found this truth too? This is true that I don't know you very much (mutual-in-law thing), but to be honest.. you didn't poison my fandom experience at all? I tend to never be aware about discourse until someone basically calls me for help fhdhgsdgdfs Can't scout the fandom tag regularly!

But not only it actually was a quite long ago I saw a "negative" post from you, but also I've seen through the posts that my friends liked or reblogged from you that you've actually became very eager person to defend people's passion and interests! I think the post that particularly got stuck with me was when you resented seeing someone's light die after some Redditor asshole "well aktualy"'d a thing they were excited about creating (not exact wording but maybe you remember too)? Like... you are fine, man. At that point I realised that you were a good fan and in the end valued people's creativity and passion over personal preferences. That you never wanted to be THAT guy, even if your interpretation could not be further from someone else's. Coming to terms with what actually matters in fandomry is very mature and I am happy to see this attitude!

I am still glad that you messaged me about this though; I did not expect this, but thank you! I think I will continue getting involved in fictional discourse because my autistic senses cannot ignore factually incorrect takes with a clear insidious motive, and.. eh, sooner or later, I'll piss off the wrong guy again. Don't feel bad for me when it inevitably happens :p I've accepted the shortcomings when I decided to be the debate guy. Simply laughing at some gremlin starting a discourse with the girls in DMs and not stressing over it is only funny until I realise that newer fans could get misinformed right off the bat.

i find ichiro's crime very interesting, it's like, at the same time it definitely feels connected to haruka (not in a bad way!), but it also feels very different? i'm not sure in what way though. i can't say i forgive him tbh, but i still want him to get a break.. for now.

i really want to learn more about him and what his relationship with his other family members is like! like, was he close with his mom? does he hate his stepfather or just doesn't care about him? maybe he actually liked his little brother and if it wasn't for the lack of attention, he wouldn't have killed him? rin is so pathetic and like. in an affectionate way. like i want to bite him and i want to call him a loser, but in a good way. i find it very interesting that he actually used to have some health problems when he was younger and his relationship with renho breaks my heart. and still, WHAT'S WITH THE DOLL IN HIS MV. sandie is an 8" (eight inch) tall eevee and bolt is a 2'8" tall pikachu. he is the size of a fucking human child-

sandie and bolt are from my fakemon region, Jundonohahen. sandie is a pillar, and bolt is a guardian. pillars are essentially demigods, and are regulated by a set of strict rules that can cause them to go mad if broken- though they are also responsible for regulating their home region. there used to be more, but, because there were evil ones in the past, the first of which almost destroyed the region (meaning it's not in its full glory, and never will be), some have tried to assassinate the pillars- and some have succeeded. every time a mature pillar dies, a new one is born- but if they die before they have matured (in terms of being a pillar, not in their age), then a new pillar won't be born. they are still judged just as harshly as mature pillars, though. it is a very political charge, considering they are also very prominent in the government of the region, though moreso for the pokemon (more lore on them later). bolt is a guardian- each pillar has one, born with them and tasked with guarding them until their very last breath. while pillars are not usually allowed to kill, when it comes to protecting their pillars, guardians are not as limited. they aren't as powerful as their pillars, but they are still quite a formidable force.

sandie, however, is extra special- she is the last of her kind. a subspecies of eevee, a moonlight eevee. in moonlight, silver specks in her fur sparkle, giving her the appearance of a shiny eevee. she also has access to moves she normally couldn't learn- moves all associated with the moon, of course.

despite sandie looking like a newly-hatched mon and being quite bubbly and friendly like one, both she and bolt are almost adults. bolt is more surly, and extremely distrustful, but that's because of how protective he is of sandie. he's really soft, and says yes to sandie far too often, willing to follow her anywhere. both of them, however, are terrified of humans, unwilling to go near them. considering most political assassinations against the pillars are by humans, they aren't wrong to fear them more- though, the humans they met were usually hunters. at one point, sandie had been brought within an inch of her life, laying in a puddle of her own blood while bolt rose from heavy injuries himself to save her. she cannot use her powers much either, as her body cannot yet handle most of it. not that she'd want to- she doesn't like fighting, and prefers to use her moves for utility. however, if she were to fight- her signature move is Swift.

their eggs were laid in a cave, and (while they don't know this but do heavily suspect it) their parents were killed leaving the cave in an attempt to stop them from bringing the next pillar into the world. bolt hatched first, and lifted her egg out of an extremely shallow pool of water (which sandie remembers very differently lmao). they stayed in the area for not long before fleeing their home region (which is, in fact, an island)

separate them and i will hurt you /lh /hj

The current Yoo Joonghyuk would never hesitate for the sake of his purpose.' - see, this is a much more nuanced and empathetic description than 'lost his humanity' in the webtoon translation. like killing people for your own purposes is not just as human a thing to do as choosing to save other people. it always struck me as a particularly harsh way to word yjh's personality change, esp. when yjh is kdj's blorbo and kdj knows how yjh got to this point.....i think the webtoon in general tries to flatten kdj's low and high points to make him more plateable for a wider audience, which i noticed when comparing scenes side by side for my fic. which is exactly why i prefer reading the source material of stories over any adaptation - things get lost in the medium translation even with the best adaptations.

kdj specifically calls yjh a professional gamer. which is good because i literally can't see yjh streaming to any audience pre-scenarios except maybe for contract-mandated team streams. he can't perform on command and doesn't give a shit about entertaining anyone except maybe his family. bad karoke aside lol

'I liked, hated, grumbled, and cheered Yoo Joonghyuk on. That's why I stuck with Yoo Joonghyuk for over 3,000 chapters.' - translation of this line in the webtoon is a bit more flowery, but i like this barebones description. it's charming how utiltarian kdj is with everything he describes, truly a reader to the core

'Yet Kim Namwoon died and the others survived.' - huh. i guess yjh saw them through the window....but shouldn't they have seen him through the window when he was kicking down the door? maybe he shattered the window after his first kick and made it hard to see through, especially if the window has wire mesh

'I started telling the story. I told the story using as much concise, short, and accurate vocabulary as possible.' - yup, that's how kdj tells stories. at least he's honest about this.

'His eyes changed and memories that seemed to belong to Yoo Joonghyuk crossed my mind.' - kdj get images along with people's thoughts if they're remembering something??? that's fascinating. tho it would be absolutely hilarious if this was a mousou telepathy situation (fic idea??)

Neither. I wouldn't want sudden eternal happiness. And my WIPs aren't at that level yet.

Probably not. Yes. I probably wouldn't because a) constant pressure b) it's one of the only things I'm good at / recognised for, and also, comfort, but mostly pressure, and I don't know what else to do with my life.

Google docs. I used to use Notion, but the formatting copy/paste was a bitch. I use folders.

Well. Uh. Usually I just write the barest of scaffolding, and go from there. It drags on. But if we're talking about before I post it... I never post something that's unfinished.
