Ok, so for my own sanity I gotta try even in the smallest of ways to start being positive again. Yes I do feel most of the time that we're living in a dystopian time. However I was watching a YouTuber I follow he made a point on his last vlog that made me stop and think. 'That if we all fatalist about the future thinking nothing can be done to change it and that things are just going to keep getting worse, they will.' So the pattern repeats it's self. Instead, we all must stop doing this try as hard as we can to start looking for good again, to look where progress is being made in the world. With the climate crisis, with human rights, with the rights of women and girls, lgbtqia+ rights, Juneteenth is now a national and federal holiday in our country. Even though I say the opposite far too offen, I know there are good people in this world. I know this in a very personal way because I'm privileged and fortunate to have some the very best people in world in my life. I would not make it through without them.

I may be a realist, but I no longer want to be a fatalist.

Just for the sake of trying to find hope, I dug through my archives to look up my old WCTH posts from 2021. Yeah, I definitely remember feeling something similar the week before S8's finale to what I've been feeling this week, only this time around, it feels much bigger.

I've been digging through Twitter trying to find reasonable sounding theories, (you'd be surprised at how more eagle eyed and better at remembering little things fans there are if you go looking for them), and then of course, there's Parade and ET's little snippets.

All I'm gonna say here is on what I think will happen tomorrow night is this: It's never really over until it actually is. Just because 1 side is feeling extremely cocky over the thought of possibly winning (because why else would bitter a-holes return to a show they vowed to boycott because they couldn't stand losing to a better man? 🙄), it doesn't mean they will automatically get their victory. Remember, they thought the same exact things 2 years ago, and boy did it blow up in their faces! 🤣

There's a lot of things that need proper addressing, and various ways to address them. There's chances for all this confusion to actually make sense in a way that doesn't involve 'running to the other man because you think you love him'.

It's never over until it actually is. Hope that helps.

(and also, I'd also advise avoiding social media until you actually see the episode if you record it. Might be better on the nerves if you do, and would make an unexpected final twist all that more satisfying. 2 years ago, I found out what the choice was before I saw it because I was liveblogging another show in the same time slot.)

In your Spitfire AU, since Zuko is looking after Lu Ten II, what happened to Ursa?

Zuko is slightly older in the Spitfire AU. He was banished at fifteen, his head a little clearer and denial a little weaker than in canon. After his first look through the Air Temples, Zuko decides that if he can't find a myth, he might as well search for the next best thing.

Finding Ursa isn't easy, but in time he makes it to a secluded house in a near-forgotten part of the world. His mom is there, older and stronger and alive.

But she isn't alone.

And Zuko, as it turns out, didn't keep the best company during his search.

When Ursa is discovered and her secrets are laid bare for assassins (for Ozai) to find, she begs Zuko to take his little brother and run. She'll do anything it takes to protect her children, even if that means leaving them behind to keep a target off their back. Ursa diverts attention from them and allows Lu Ten's ancestry to be kept a secret. She orders Zuko not to follow her again, and disappears.

Zuko is left with a little three-year-old brother to raise and a mother he cannot hold onto.

fun detail I only put into context after seeing the post-fade jail romance scenes with all the companions: lucanis is the only one where rook is surprised when they realize he's there as he starts talking, because they didn't hear him come in haha. (Bellara and Neve knock before entering, like relatively normal people fhsda. Harding's scene starts in medias res but from the staging my vibe is that she and Rook entered the room together. Taash walks into the room ahead of Rook. Davrin comes in through a door left open for him -- Rook is standing with their back turned but they clearly expected him, they just smile a bit and don't seem surprised. Emmrich of course takes you to the Grand Necropolis for the top goth hookup since Mary Shelly fucked on her parents' graves, the man quite simply never misses.)

lucanis has also closed the door behind him without rook noticing. old assassin habits die hard I suppose lol. he totally still accidentally jumpscares the others without meaning to all the time because he moves around quietly when he doesn't think about it, I know this in my heart. I wonder if he was just... looking at them for a while before he spoke up.

When Cassandra Cain first began taking ballet, her fellow dancers quickly warned her about the ghost haunting the theater.

"He likes to watch us. I see him looking down at the stage from the catwalk all the time."

"It looks like he stole one of the Phantom of the Opera masks last time a tour came through, but its been covered in stars!"

"I heard him when I was acting in Wicked. I was alone in the green room doing some last minute practice and I swear he was humming along while I was singing!"

"Haley from front of house didn't believe he existed until they came backstage to grab supplies for seat repairs. I don't know what they saw, but now they refuse to go backstage."

Cass isn't sure that the ghost is real, but she is sure that the other dancers think he's real. They often gossip about the theater ghost in hushed whispers, knocking on wood at the very mention of him. Her teachers prefer not to talk about the ghost at all, but they don't deny its existence.

It's not until she is practicing alone on stage and feels eyes on her that she thinks there might be something to the ghost rumors.
