i completely understand not liking leaving a voicemail at a business, i get it i really do. i hate making phone calls in the first place

but if you are going to call a salon repeatedly, not leave a message, then not try to make a booking request online, but instead come into the salon when it is OBVIOUSLY BUSY and start complaining about how no one has been answering the phone, i'm sorry but kindly get fucked

i am one fucking person who is basically working three roles (four if you count my apprenticeship) and our stylists have been booked back to back to back these last two weeks trying to accommodate their guests

it's not like i have one job where all i do is sit at the front desk waiting for the phone to ring

do not come into our establishment and start complaining "your phone doesn't work," because you refuse to leave a voicemail, because you're not gonna like my solution

like, we had this lady come in the other day, and as i was getting her checked out she was like "oh, i referred a friend to get her hair done here, but when she said she tried to call the number that it wasn't working."

so i thought, okay maybe she had the wrong number or accidentally typed it in wrong when sending it to her friend, so i reread our number to her and she was like "oh, yeah that's the number i gave her, she said it just kept ringing and ringing." and this was towards the end of a very rough and busy two weeks at the salon, so i wasn't feeling as understanding as i usually am and just gave it to her straight and immediately was like "okay, that just means someone's not available to answer the phone, but if she calls and that happens again, she can leave a voicemail and we will get back to her, we check them multiple times a day."

and it was clear she did not appreciate my answer, but is it really that hard of a concept to grasp????
