Christmas Joy

One of my favorite christmas episodes they did!

I love Joy! Shes another one i wish had come back, partly because her and shawn didn’t really put a pin in it, but mostly because Fawne was a delight and fit right in! Like her energy was cute and snarky and infectious. I can totally picture her growing up with both of them (and i wish we had seen a flashback with her in it). Joy could easily have been abigail in season 4, in the sense of completing the love triangle. I think it would’ve added an extra layer to mr yin presents too if it had been a choice between gus’ sister and juliet. Could you imagine how gus would have reacted? And the level of trust he would have to give shawn to not go with him to save her?!? Oh it hurts my heart just to think about.

I love this scene so much! And i love that joy is in hot pursuit haha and shawn is like a split second behind her.

Im very surprised henry let shawn believe in santa, especially since he wouldn’t even let him pretend to be a superhero. My headcanon is that shawn straight up refused to hear the truth so henry figured it would be easier to keep him in check if he thought santa was judging him at the end of the year.

Girl talk! I wish they had more scenes like this. A lot of their interactions are either shawn bantering, flirting, or juliet admonishing his childishness. I love the moments when she gets to be his friend. (I suppose i should point out the part where she gets all weird that shawn mentions it might bother her if he had a thing with joy…idk im fatigued by this point. Like, great, she’s still interested. Its a fun moment. Thats all.)

Gus’ parents are chronic liars lol because weren’t they lying in the last christmas episode too? I don’t agree with them either. Joy is a grown ass woman, if she wants to date shawn she has every right too. For a minute there i thought the reason she wanted to see shawn was because it was hidden and forbidden so it was exciting, but then she said she wanted permission to pick up where they left off, so i think she genuinely likes him. It probably wouldn’t work long term since she lives out of town (state? Where was she before this??) in any case, it should have been her choice. I suppose, since she didn’t fight that hard for it, that she wasn’t that hard-pressed about it, but all the same. Also, this right here, is peak comedy to me. I laugh at this every single time. (Sidenote-yes i did pick up on the new iconic dad for Mr. Guster)

I know this is played for the haha’s, but its even funnier to me that the killer took time to get him all dressed up and propped up. Why? Why would you do that sir?

Lastly, i like the part where shawn talks to the dad about his daughter. Its another small moment of kindness from shawn. Idk, maybe part of the reason he intervenes is because she reminded him of himself when he was a kid, and how he had to grow up too quickly in certain ways. It was very nicely done

P.S why would they zoom in on this scant shrimp platter?? It was just such a weird shot lol

I actually talked about hc peen sizes at some point, although there are no numbers there because I am bad at those lol The way I draw them is very inconsistent, but yeah, Lilia has been the “thiiiis big” guy for a while in our posts and drawings now. It started as a joke, but then it kind of…stuck lol

But in an interesting twist of fate, it isn’t even that illogical – apparently bats have enormous peens: 22% of their entire body length…!! So if Lilia’s height is 158 cm, according to this little piece of trivia, his peen would be 34.7 cm. Holy shit. Is this… is this canon now? I’m afraid of what we’ve created….

That being said, while we kind of defaulted to the “Lilia has a huge penis and he hides it with magic somehow”, I did draw him with a cute small one at least once, and I’d love to do it again. I guess the answer to that would be that Lilia is an enigma, and no matter how big his peen is, he is scarily good at using it.

Vil is fairly in shape! But he is also pretty lean; if I remember correctly, he stated that he pays attention to staying in shape but not getting bulky because he still wanted to have a certain silhouette. I also sometimes like to think that he loves big sleeves and extra layers on his shoulders and upper arms because he has some volume there and basically hides his biceps lol To keep everything visually balanced and his arms looking elegant, or something like that. I’m not sure how to describe it. He is more muscular than he wants to appear, but he also isn’t jacked, I guess.

2024 in Two Half Steps: Thoughts from a new writer on Tumblr

An end-of-year reflection on the pmpmyread x Tumblr experiment thus far, in the form of some yapping absolutely no one asked for, "for posterity".

While the creation of this Tumblr blog predates June 29, when I published my first JJK fic, I consider today to more or less mark six months since I joined the platform in earnest, as a writer.

A few days after sharing that first fic, once the high began tapering off, I vowed to make the conscious effort to refuse to play the engagement numbers game, judging it to be too slippery of a slope for the little it would yield, particularly for someone who is prone to slipping into the mindset of a mentally exhausting day job ruled by OKRs and KPIs as a measure of success.

"Watch number go up" would certainly not be the energy I'd bring to this endeavor.

Having said that, I did quietly hit a few neat milestones over the last few weeks, both on here and on AO3, and these little quantifications of how people received some of my writing over the last six months, modest as they may be, are only incredibly encouraging to me. Even after the recent cleanup I conducted on my followers list for what appeared to be bots/ageless blogs, I was surprised by the number of people I was left with on my tiny island of the internet.

If you follow me, if you’ve ever commented on, interacted with, or even just took the time to read something I wrote, thank you! I appreciate it more than words could ever convey.

Now, here’s a numbers game I'm willing to play, as someone who was struggling to get anything down on paper this time last year:

25-30 is the number of original/non-reblogged posts I shared this year. I didn’t know how to tag when I first started and I don’t really have it in me to hunt them lol. They were likely yap anyway. 17 of those were fanfics, 3 were meta posts/character analysis 11 Nanami fics (rookie numbers tbh lol), 2 Gojo fics, 2 Geto fics, 1 Nobara-centric story, and 1 Yuji and Sukuna-centric thing 5 gifted written works total, 3 of which I haven’t shared here. The presence of this metric is mind-blowing in and of itself because there was a time in a not so distant past when I would not dream of being confident enough to gift anything I wrote to someone. 6 Destiny fics, 5 of which were re-shares and 1 that I actually wrote this year. This is also an achievement on its own considering the terrible writer’s block and general dissatisfaction I’ve had with this game this year. I’m grateful for this small but mighty fandom and its talented artists that keeping it alive, in spite of everything. $17.15 is the yearly hosting fee for the OC writing blog I registered a couple of years ago. Now that I’ve finally found my spark to write OC again, thanks largely to my fanfic endeavors, I can finally justify its expense LMFAO.

If you’re a writer or really just any kind of creator on here, I encourage you to take a short trip down the soon-to-be memory lane that is the year 2024 and take stock of what you’ve created this year. Zooming out to view your broader personal progress and accomplishments is crucial for maintaining motivation, reminding yourself of the “why” and of the passion behind your efforts. We truly only do this for the love of the game!

If you’re a reader and you’ve made it this far (here’s a medal lol), thanks again for being here, I hope this can serve as a small glimpse into the journey behind this account. I admittedly run this blog a bit like my social life lol; long periods consisting largely of keeping to myself, punctuated by short bursts of high social energy. That said, I’d definitely like to get to know you more in 2025!

Finally, if you’re someone who sits in between these two categories, here’s some food for thought: In the initial six months of 2024, I was only silently reading the wonderful works others bravely posted on here, hovering in that awkward area between a desire to share my writing again and an aversion to being perceived.

It was exactly halfway through the year that I took a chance to post something for the first time, and though I was nervous in the moment, it was the most freeing thing. Mainly because I did it and I didn’t die lol.

If you feel that nagging from an idea you have, and that flame of creativity, if you’ve been eyeing that half-completed outline, or even just have some scenes replaying like a movie in your mind, I hope you know that you already are a creator.

At the risk of sounding corny, I’d invite you to consider this upcoming new year to be a blank page and try putting pen to paper for some of your ideas, and see where it goes. If you’re so inclined, create a post, tag it and send it off to the world, whether here on Tumblr or elsewhere. It may feel daunting or even a bit scary, but I promise you’ll feel accomplished and relieved to have finally tried it. And when you do it once, it’s always easier to do it again.

Just please do remember to do this for yourself and for your enjoyment first and foremost, to find your own voice and style and to resist the urge to compare your journey to others’. The best way to dismantle the thief of joy is to prevent it from sneaking onto the premises in the first place. The rest will follow. 🩵

As for 2025, I do have some aspirations for this blog, though I refuse to label them as resolutions LOL. I want to explore some more ideas for JJK and D2, I want to incorporate my underrepresented identities into my stories, I want to start cross-posting my original content over on another dedicated Tumblr page, I want, I want, I want...

I don’t know how much I’ll realistically get to, because life is life and I am also looking to make some rather big moves next year. Tumblr is only a small piece of my writing journey which itself is only a small part of my busy day to day, but all in all, I am so pleased to have re-engaged with this hobby on this platform.

For all of its flaws, Tumblr has a distinct flavor in its interactive element that I have yet to see elsewhere, it’s connected me with wonderful people, provided a much-needed creative outlet, exposed me to wonderful works, and helped to keep me grounded during what was an otherwise pretty hectic year.

I just finished What About Will by Ellen Hopkins a few days ago, and WOW do I have a lot to say about it!! But first, I must share the cover because it is hekkin gorgeous:

I know I shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but wow. Absolutely amazing. If a book has this as its cover, then it has to be good, I mean come on.

And all the details!! Family photos and a window with no curtain and a baseball and a glove on Trace’s side, and posters and windows with blinds and a video game controller and a phone and pills and THAT NOTE and… oh no the SHOES I JUST REALIZED THE THING ABOUT THE SHOES OH I AM IN PAIN (you’ll understand once you read, I assure you) on Will’s side…

And their faces, too! Trace’s eyes are open and he’s looking a little bit up, while Will’s eyes are closed and he’s looking down… ough.

THIS IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE COVER OF A BOOK THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN OH MY GOODNESS!!! IT’S BEAUTIFUL!!! AAAAAAAAH!!!

Okayokay so the book is first-person POV written in a free-verse style (I’ll share some of my favorite quotes in a bit). It’s all from Trace’s perspective (he’s the younger brother).

IS ABOUT

BROTHERS!!! HECK YES!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS TO READ ABOUT!!! BROTHERS!!! YES!!!

And Trace and Will really are brothers, let me tell you. Their relationship is messy but it used to be so good and Will was always the older one who looked out for Trace and Trace was always the younger one who looked up to Will and and and alsgakgsksgskwgavsja

But now their relationship isn’t great because of Thingsssss 😭 And it’s so sad and so real and so OUGH

Speaking of, this book is so real. It’s not extravagant or mind-blowing, and there’s not crazy battles or big villains. It’s just… a kid. It’s a kid doing life in a messed up world with a messed up family. That’s it.

Actually, if I had to describe this book in one word, I think it’d be “simple.” Not in a bad or weak way, but in a refreshing way; it was nice to read a story that’s just about a kid doing life, y’know? It was really nice.

Mannnn I got so darn invested so darn fast my goodness- it was like. Pretty much immediately. Just a few pages in and I was already completely sucked into this story and this world and these characters and YES!!! It’s not too often that I get invested this fast, at least as far as books go, but What About Will was just different. It was really fun :D

This book was super easy to read—partially because of the story itself, and partially because of the format. The story was simple enough to understand easily, and the format made reading really… quick, I guess? Because it’s set up like a poem, the short lines/paragraphs made it incredibly easy to read through!

(It was just like this with Ellen Hopkin’s other middle-grade novel, Closer To Nowhere, which was also written in a free-verse style)

Oh yeah! Middle grade! Almost forgot to mention that!!

Despite being out of middle school, I still prefer middle-grade novels to pretty much any other book; there’s a ton of incredible ones out there, and I’ve often found that they’re more creative and sometimes, better written, than YA!!

That being said, What About Will can absolutely be read by anybody, regardless of age. Don’t let the age suggestion stop you from reading this, please!! I promise you it truly is an incredible book with an incredible story 😭

I won’t spoil, but towards the end of the book I EXPERIENCED MANY FEELINGS AND LET OUT MANY NOISES OF SUSPENSE, FEAR, HAPPINESS, AND MORE. MY SISTER WAS IN THE SAME ROOM AS I WAS WHEN I FINISHED THE BOOK AND SHE GAVE ME MANY STRANGE LOOKS. OH MY GOSH.

I want there to be a sequellll so bad 😭😭 Like… a YA novel from Will’s perspective… oh my goodness… I would go dizzy with joy if that ends up happening… please… oh my gosh…

NEEDLESS TO SAY this is one of my favorite books probably and I’m going to be thinking about it for a long time :)

Pretty much the only complaint I have is that sometimes the dialogue/inner thoughts of the main character felt unrealistic and unoriginal. This was not the case for the entirety of the book, but there were several sections that I didn’t feel were the best, as far as writing goes (unrealistic dialogue is one of my biggest pet peeves ever lol).

But other than that? Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I hekkin loved this.

I got a great ask from someone and I wanted to publish it, but it would be a spoiler to anyone who hasn't seen ep9, or is behind on who has or hasn't been eliminated, so I'm putting it here behind a read more. They're responding to my theory as to why a certain trainees was kicked out of Over Me and make some good points! It's all behind the read more.

I see what you mean about Keita certainly having friends among the trainees -- I think that a lot of the trainees feel close to him, especially the Japanese trainees, I'd guess. But remember when Park Gunwook shook Keita's hand at the ep8 ranking ceremony? He shook his hand warmly, with a huge smile on his face, but he didn't HUG him. Now maybe Gunwook just isn't a hugger, but still. I just think Keita isn't quite as "in" with the cool kids clique as he could be. Everyone likes and respects him but I don't sense that bond, that "stay up all night talking, crying on each other's shoulders, telling each other stuff you've never told anyone before" kind of bond. But maybe I'm wrong! I should watch some more of the behind the scenes content -- let me know if there's a specific video that you think I should check out.

And yeah, you'd think for sure they'd want at least one Japanese trainee, but who knows what goes through MNET's single collective brain cell. It's like searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore movie.

buttt abt the threat bit i completely agree. i think the other trainees see him as a threat in a way he doesn’t view anyone else at all. i remember you said smth like “Keita sets a high standard even among the other previously debuted idols on this show” in one of ur posts, and i think this is a contributing factor. Keita simply has less to prove. he knows he’s good enough to be in the group, the judges know, the other trainees know, the viewers know, even people who don’t LIKE him know.

this is why he was so completely unafraid to make a super stacked team for Kill this Love even though he definitely wanted the killing part, and in ep 6 when they chose for the second mission, though they don’t show Keita choosing Zoom, in background shots you can see that Krystian, who he kicked out, was simply standing on the bottom row, closest to the walkway, and that is most likely the reason keita kicked him out.

Oh, I love this kind of close analysis! Nice work. I think Krystian was better suited for Limousine anyway so it worked out.

comparing this line of thinking to Ricky, who kicked Jongwoo out of Love Killa because it meant he would be more likely to get the killing part, to Jiwoong who did the exact same thing to ricky two minutes later, and the differences in their thinking become clear.

Aaaannnd we ended up with an underwhelming performance of Love Killa, so thanks, everyone!

this isn’t me hating on any of them ofc, it’s a good strategy. but it’s a strategy that Keita isn’t using, partially because he is literally just that kind, but also because he doesn’t feel that pressure to prove everything he has the way most of the other trainees do.

Totally agree. It's kind of like what I was saying about how Matthew leads from a place of anxiety, while Keita leads from a place of confidence. It doesn't enter Keita's mind to scheme because he knows he has the goods. I think that this might contribute to his comparative lack of super close, emotionally bound friends -- you bond with people who you feel a connection to, and maybe it's hard for people to feel that connection with someone who doesn't seem to experience the same frustrations and difficulties that they do. But again, maybe I'm wrong.

and yeah, considering that there were two yuehuas on over me team as well, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that they made a plan to vote out the members they felt would be the biggest threats to them, position-wise, and any friendships made on the show def pale in comparison to years spent training tgt. i just thought it was rlly interesting cause all last week i was curious to see how ppl ended on their new teams (i did get spoiled lol) and after watching and thinking it over, it makes tons of sense. your recaps are always interesting reads, and i look forward to the performance specific ones !!

Sometimes when I’m thinking out my story and sit with it too long. Without beginning the first draft. I start to question my story’s worth or validity. 3.Do you have any tips for writing even when your outlook on your story is grim? Is this normal lol?

4. I’m working on a story, for fun, but to also practice craft. What do you do to keep the writing process fun?

1. Do you have any advice for not tying your worth to your writing?

I've talked about this at length in some other asks, but not specifically for this question (which I think is a great q to have!). I think the main thing is that not tying your worth to your writing is an active effort. This isn't necessarily something you can just say will happen and it'll easily happen--in fact, a certain level of conscious effort may be needed in order to actually make this a practice. I used to do this a loooooot, and some days I just had to sit myself down and talk myself through it--if I wasn't having a good day writing, I literally went, "it's fine that you don't like this, you're not going to like everything you write, that doesn't mean you're a bad writer and therefore a bad/unworthy person." Eventually those little sayings worked, because I started to believe them. Sometimes we need a little more compassion for ourselves!

2. What would you tell young Rachel before she worked on her first novel?

Honestly, I would tell her nothing! She had the idea right--she was quite literally SO passionate about writing that nothing else mattered. All I wanted to do back then was have fun, and 13-year-old me knew how to do that with GRACE. Every day I try to honour her by prioritizing joy in my current writing process (so it's more like, what would young Rachel tell 21-year-old Rachel to do?).

3. Do you have any tips for writing even when your outlook on your story is grim? Is this normal lol?

Yes, this is super normal and happens to me all the time, especially after the shiny new idea syndrome has worn off a bit. See #1 for this, but sometimes it's just about having more compassion for yourself and for your work. If I could talk to 2020 me, I'd tell her Feeding Habits (the book I was working on at the time) is actually really profound, and that she'll see that soon (so to cut herself some slack!). I think the feeling of grimness is often a feeling of preemptive fear of judgement. When I started to worry less about others judging my work, my ideas stopped feeling so grim (though I do go through this now still, just not as severely).

4. I’m working on a story, for fun, but to also practice craft. What do you do to keep the writing process fun?

I make sure I'm actually having fun in the process (which is like... obvious, but let me explain!). If I'm not enjoying a scene, is there a way I can just zoom through it? Is there something I could add to make it *feel* better? This is going to depend on what makes you happy, so I can't really say specifically, but if I wasn't having fun, I'd try to get all geeky with language, do a deep dive on a sentence, make it more poem-y, etc, because I really enjoy those things. I know it sounds silly to say "just choose to have fun" but sometimes it really is about going "oh yeah... actually, I can just have fun with this for ten minutes."

I have the faith that what’s best for me will ultimately manifest. I can be honest and say I’m codependent in relationships, I usually focus so much on the person I’m with and the life we have together rather than myself and my own life with ME lol. I feel bad and uncomfortable and almost like I cheat on myself when I drink, which is driving me to stay sober. I received ‘The big book’ in the mail today free, provided by a lovely AA Group over in the state I attended via zoom, so I’ve been extremely grateful in my moments of reading. My relationship with sobriety is at peaceful and positive as I can possibly make it, sometimes I’m worried if I’m hiding everything with a positive attitude or if I’m truely positive about my experience, I really don’t know what I’m saying or how anything is coming out because I feel so…. Idk, like I’m facing the wrong way. I kept super busy today, because I feel guilt. I did my morning routine with guilt in the back on my head, I’m writing this now with guilt plastered all over it. Am I an enabler? Because I enabled myself to get drunk… how long do I feel guilt for. Guilt stems for the abandoned emotion on the emotion wheel I’m looking at, and if this is a sign to get into my abandonment issues well I guess its time to roll up the sleeves, I feel sad and a little defeated. Must I acknowledge in order to go forward? What needs to be done here?

My fear of abandonment seems to take over my body and pierce into my soul, over the years it has stopped me from getting close to someone all together, and distance myself from those inevitably close to me. I feel ashamed when I over share, in fear of someone I love leaving, I hold and hide things in, because thats what seems to push people away the most. I’m like a child hiding things away from their parent. Idk why that analogy came but fuck it, when my parents would drink, they would get into some nasty fights, and when I was a child I remember my mum kicking my dad out on multiple occasions and me and my brother crying, holding and begging for him to stay. He stayed most times, other times he wasn’t far, and would always come back. My dad never truely left, but he wasn’t always there. When I felt the shift of my parents with me, when I was 13-14, I felt abandoned, and angry. I felt like no one knew me because they didn’t want to, I felt like there was something wrong with me, I felt extremely alone… in a house full of family. I wondered what was wrong with me for so many years, because I couldn’t understand or comprehend it, there was nothing wrong with me. Maybe there was lol, I don’t know, I know that I felt normal until my parents stopped talking to me.

I don’t feel good or confident in my writings right now, but ill keep writing. My parents are judges, like not real ones, like the kind of people who judge others a lot, ridicule them for their mistakes. I was judged so hard I let them win and started judging myself the way they did me… my dad decided to throw in a little ‘the gym is not a fashion show just so you know’ after I expressed wanting to go to the gym with him, and the rest of my family lol. I said ‘I don’t go to the gym like it’s a fashion show why would you say that’ and then he said ‘I just know what girls are like’ ????? I said well don’t you know me? And he told me to shut up and he walked away, lol. My parents always shut down the conversation by telling us to either shut up, for fuck off. I’ve always wanted the conversation, the hard ones, the meaningful ones, the ones where we learn and where we dig, something not so surface lev. Is it just me? Who needs to know wtf is going on in order to understand it? I haven’t had a fucking conversation in decades

If my issue with substance abuse is that once I have 1 taste I need to have another, what I’m saying is I take it too far, every time with every substance, I just gotta get high. I have to feel the feeling, and once I feel It, I just wanna feel it more, thats my issue. And I forgot what I was gonna say about that because I was interrupted while writing lol. I would never ever want my parents to see the potentially mean light I see them under, but its the truth, but I would never want to hurt their feelings, yet they hurt mine so many times. If you ask Malleus to spar with you he will happily oblige, most likely holding back for the sake of not completely eradicating you on the spot. Sebek almost blew a fuse when he found out what was going on.

Overall, Malleus is very fond of you and enjoys listening to you ramble on about your world and your sky bison which you unfortunately didn’t join you in the TWST world. He likes seeing your eyes light up with excitement.

Kalim is practically head over heels for you, just looking at you brings more sunshine and happiness to his already bright and cheerful mood. How could he not love you? You were as cute as a button in his eyes!

He tries to meet you after classes almost every day but you avoid him. Insert sad sea otter sounds

Wait? Why do you avoid him? Did he do something wrong?! Oh no! He is so sorry if he said or did something that made you upset! Please forgive this big ball of sunshine!

Expect him to attempt tackle hugs in apology, poor sunshine boy just wants to show his love for you!

Kalim in general is as extrovert as they get, he practically radiates extrovert vibes so strong it could power all of Twisted Wonderland and then some. Even you could not deny he was charming in his own unique ways, especially with how he never seemed to give up on trying to get closer to you.

“Heeeeeyyyy!! (Y/N)! Wanna come for a magic carpet ride?” He will shout from the halls to only cause you to scurry off to your little corner of solitary confinement known as Ramshackle Dorm. “Awwww- (Y/N)… I just wanna be able to tell you how I really feel…”

He tries every possible way to get close to you, even getting help from Silver’s animal friends to deliver a heartfelt message to you by dove.

Is he the one? No- it cannot be, introverts can’t fall in love… can they? Is it really possible?!

Yes, my dear reader, it is possible. Just listen to that thumping heart in your chest!

The letter instructs you to meet him outside Ramshackle at midnight, well, that did not sound too bad. No one would be awake to see you talk to extrovert no. 1 and you would not be judged. Chances of being spotted are slim to none. Okay then, it seems that all is fine.

You make your way outside the dorm at midnight, standing by where the swing on the tree is, gazing at the night sky when suddenly you see it, a magic carpet flying closer to you.

Kalim steps off the carpet and takes your hand in his. “(Y/N), I know I have really been pushy and kinda annoying, according to Jamil but I just can’t ignore my heart any longer! I love you, (Y/N)… I love you a lot! D-do you like m-me?”

Your breath was taken away. So love was possible for an introvert! You happily say yes but on one condition-

“Kalim…? Could we get some cuddles in tonight? This introvert wants some of your sunshine.”

Ace Trappola

Ace cannot stop eying you up, it’s become increasingly obvious that he has developed an odd case of “cartoon heart eyes” for you.

Seriously? Ace of all people? It HAD to be THIS annoying yet cute extrovert that you just so happened to get into messes with?

“OI! (Y/N)! I gotta tell ya something!” He would hell from the hallway, making you flinch and dart off. “H-HEY DON’T JUST RUN FROM ME!”

Ace has learned early on that simply trying to approach you can result into you zooming away at race car speed or you going completely red in the face and unable to speak so now there are alternative ways he can get his point across.

He has begun to slip notes into your bag and sneak homemade cherry tarts into your dorm, with help from the Ramshackle Ghosts of course. But of course he never heard back from you, not because you did not wish to return the feelings but because you could not find the courage to tell him.

Ace grew tired of not hearing from you, his heart truly ached and that’s when the light bulb came on in his head. He will get Grim to give you a letter from him asking you to meet him by the rose maze in Heartslabyul tonight when all is quiet and no one’s prying eyes can see you both.

When Grim hands you the letter he had in his jaws you read it with blush spreading across your face, Ace wanted to meet you in private? Did he know you don’t like attention? Was he finally taking notice of what your triggers were?

You agree to meet him in Heartslabyul that night and sure enough, there he was standing by the rose maze with a freshly plucked rose. Once more your face heats up at the sight of him.

“(Y-Y/N), I want- you see- I wanted to need you here tonight b-because I really like ya… I really think you are amazing and I just hope you like me too. If you don’t I get it…”

“A-Ace” you sputter softly, “I-I do like you! I just get so nervous around you because of how um- you know- extroverted you are! I swear I like you and always have!”

That was all he needed, he wrapped his arms around you and held you close. He will be sure to tone himself down for you, cherry pie.

Oh and for the record, Trey may have noticed and recorded the whole scene.

Floyd Leech

Floyd- oh dear- he has basically set his eyes on you like the shrimpy you are and has made it his absolute goal to chase you until you say yes.

“Shrimpyyy~! I wanna talk to yaaaa~! Don’t swim away from meeee~! Heeeh~? Shrimpy doesn’t wanna be with me? Aww man…”

Of course, that was rather short lived as he got bored of chasing you because all you ever did was clam up whenever he approached you.

He would seek advice from his brother and even Azul but they both are rather clueless when it comes to confessing their feelings to the one they’ve set their eyes on. Azul however, did recommend that all he must do is find a way to talk to you alone.

“Heeeeeeehhhh? So I gotta go Shrinpy huntin’~? Okaaaayyyyyy~! Here shrimpy! Come to the big eel! I won’t squeeze yaaaaaa~!”

Problem solved! He can just capture Shrimpy-Chan and take you to somewhere private! But where would be good? The lounge? No, too crowded. The hallway? No, definitely not. His bedroom? No it’s too messy… maybe in the lounge after hours when everyone is asleep and it’s empty? Perfect!

Floyd waits for the perfect moment, writing you a letter and slipping it into your pocket when you are not looking. You eventually find it when you reach in your pocket for an eraser.

You read the letter, seeing it was from Floyd you felt your heart pound and your face heat up. Well- as long as you were meeting him in private it should be fine, right?

As the time to meet Floyd nears, you quickly fix yourself up enough to at least make a suitable impression. You walk to the hall of mirrors and into the path that leads to Octavinelle.

Immediately you were greeted with a small note with Floyd’s handwriting on it instructing you on where to go. As you could certainly tell, this meeting was not your typical one where he would chase you around to no end, this one was special.

As you enter the lounge, the soft sound of light night time jazz fills the lounge as if setting the mood beneath the sea. Floyd comes up behind you and gently wraps his arms around you, hugging you from behind.

“Heeeehhh~? I knew my shrimpy would come!” He says happily, picking you up in a bridal carry and sitting you down on one of the sofas. “Shrimpy, I wanted to talk to ya ‘bout somethin’ important… I really like you, like um- I love ya, Shrimpy! D-do you love me…?”

For as long as you’ve known Floyd, and from all his more bizarre attitude episodes you have never seen him look like this before. You squeaked and blushed harder, burying your face in your hands, nodding rapidly.

“I-I love y-you too Floyd… I just got so scared and um- “swam away” because I’m a big introvert who’s always been super shy and hides like a clown fish in an anemone. M-May I get a Floyd squeeze…?”

You needn’t ask him twice, prepare for the most loving squeeze of your life, shrimpy.

Previously on BnHA: Kacchan was all, “Izuku, I’m sorry.” Bakugou Stans were all, “[sobs for a week straight and tearfully awards him the Nobel Prize for character development].” Deku was all, “[faints in Kacchan’s arms].” Iida was all, “[trying to decide if Ochako genuinely tried to kill him a few minutes ago].” Horikoshi was all, “NO TIME FOR HUGS WE MUST GET BACK TO UA.” The civilians holed up at U.A. were all, “WE TOOK A VOTE AND DECIDED THAT WE’RE ALL GOING TO BE JERKS ABOUT THIS AND MAKE A BIG FUSS ABOUT YOU LETTING DEKU BACK INTO THE SCHOOL.” Deku was all “[stands there looking like he expected nothing less and breaking my heart more and more with each passing moment].” Ochako was all, “that does it, looks like I’m gonna have to do something about this... next chapter, that is.”

Today on BnHA: Flashback!Rat Principal is all “I just want you all to know that I spent nine million dollars turning U.A. into a giant Battleship-style grid that can burrow underground and zoom around in a giant subway maze because Horikoshi lacks a grounded understanding of both civil engineering and economics.” Back in the present day, Jeanist is all, “EVERYONE TAKE HEED, MY COMRADES AND I HAVE DEEMED IT EXPEDIENT TO CONVEY THIS AUSPICIOUS YOUTH BACK TO THIS STRONGHOLD. WE ANTICIPATE THAT WE MAY DEPEND UPON YOUR GOODWILL AND ACQUIESCENCE TO THESE TERMS.” The civilians were all, “NO.” Ochako was all, “EMPATHY, MOTHERFUCKERS, DO YOU SPEAK IT?!” The civilians were all, “oh shit.” Anyway so Ochako is a giant badass, but I’m a little worried that she’s going to get struck by lightning. Please come down from there.
