it’s so odd seeing other therians or alterhumans mad that some therians or alterhumans aren’t vegan?? and their excuse being “Well, yours paying for animals suffering. There is no such thing as ethical.” and basically saying if you eat animal products and are alterhuman your identity is invalid??
#fang4claw#therian#alterhuman#like#get your fucking shit together#i came across a therian saying “DNI IF VULTURE CULTURE/TAXIDERMY/TAXIDERMEST. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ETHICAL“#dude i get my bones from fucking roadkill or my cousin who hunts and eats anything he kills.#My 2nd deer skull was found way deep in the woods with its nose bitten off#probably eaten by another animal.#my deer spine was mostlikely from a deer hunted by other animals for food.#there is ethical ways for taxidermy and unethical ways#don’t say there isn’t anything such as ethical or people who want such things won’t go to the places that aren’t farms and DO IT ETHICALLY.#idc if your vegan for animals. that’s great#i think it’s sweet#but don’t tell people who aren’t vegan by choice or CANT be vegan because of a disorder or they will not survive off of only plant proteins#that they are a piece of shit and don’t care for animal life.#than you are just like the people you say you hate.

And another thing—the whole premise of Asha’s motivation, her whole character, is that she believes the people of Rosas deserve “more” than what Magnifico is giving them.
And I’ve already made posts about how that’s already kind of lame, because the movie doesn’t give you a good look at the citizens of Rosas really “suffering” because of Magnifico. They’re not all dull, or diffident, or zombies or anything. So she’s not really rescuing them from anything too bad, in that sense.
But that’s not the point of this post.
The point of this post is that Asha believes all the wishes in Rosas deserve the chance to come true, because she believes that all the intentions of the people in Rosas are basically good…she believes they’re all basically good people.
All their wishes are, therefore, good, harmless wishes.
But that’s so boring. And untrue. Not all wishes are good! Very few of the things we choose to wish for are the best things we could choose to wish for. And even less of the things people wish for are what they actually need.
Wish makes a lame attempt at the end, with the clunky Peter-Pan background character, to suggest that what the people of Rosas were missing was a work ethic to achieve their dreams, and collaborate with others, themselves. But it’s lame. And still not compelling. Because not everybody has good wishes. In fact, almost ALL of Disney’s best stories are about a character wishing for something that isn’t completely good for them. I already made a post that was kind of about this, but seriously. Having characters who want something, then discover that something is not so good for them, or something else would be even better, is one of Disney’s trademark tools for making compelling characters and adventures.
Flynn, in Tangled, just wanted to live a life of ease where nobody could bother him or take anything from him. And you know, he’s an orphan. They explained why he has that bad wish, because of his life and the circumstances that made him how he is—so we understand. We don’t hate him for having a bad wish. We get it. But then it’s wonderful to watch him learn to wish for something better! That’s a big chunk of the story! Just like how Rapunzel wished to see the floating lights, because it meant exploring and understanding the world. Not a bad wish, but not everything she could’ve had. Love, with Flynn, was an even better wish.
You could do this with villains, too, as the opposite. You can say,
Gaston had a bad wish. He wished to have Belle, simply because she was the most beautiful girl in town and he felt like he “deserved” her as the most beautiful man in town—and didn’t want to settle for second-best. And he has plenty of evidence to look at in order to recognize that his wish is bad, it’s not good for anyone including him—he has Belle’s selfless love for her father, the Beast’s refusal to fight back, and other adoring girls who would love to have him. But he won’t let it go. He won’t give up his wish or change it to something good—because he won’t acknowledge that it’s bad. So you have a great villain.
You get lots of great villains that way. Having bad wishes, but refusing to give them up. I mean, every Disney villain has a dream too, you guys realize that? And Disney had no problem saying “some wishes are bad” then. So they had strong characters with believable motivations/performances and a gripping story. Plus, actual impactful morals.
Stitch realizing his wish to destroy is bad, and changing it to a wish for family, like what Lilo and Nani have.
Clayton wishing he could “conquer” Africa, right down to selling its most fearsome creatures, right down to refusing to give up in a fight with Tarzan and winding up getting killed for it.
Hercules changing his wish from being a god to being on earth with Meg, because that’s a better fulfillment of his previous wish, which was just to find where he belongs.
Cruella refusing to change or give up her bad wish for a fur-skinned coat made from the pelts of the pets of the friends who insulted her.
The fairies continually giving up their wishes to do what’s best for Aurora and the kingdom—they give up their magic when it fails to undo Maleficent’s curse, then they give Aurora herself back to her real parents even though they’ve loved her, then they put the whole kingdom full of their friends to sleep to spare them the heartbreak of losing Aurora.
I mean, you could think of this as Part II of my earlier post, but what I’m saying is, Wish doesn’t acknowledge one of the most fundamental things about Disney stories: wishes aren’t always good, and they’re not always good for the people making them.
I get that Magnifico was taking away the chance for Rosas to find that out for themselves. No character in Rosas gets to go on their own journey of “is my wish worth getting.” But basing a movie off of that set them up for a boring movie. The whole concept of forgetting the wish you have, but it was probably good/harmless, makes the characters stop being characters, and the story super bland.
The only character that has a wish that he tries to make come true and has to choose to either keep or let go of is Magnifico—and his wish is “maintain absolute power.” Not even the Evil Queen had a wish that was that one-dimensional and bland—at least she had something personal in there. Magnifico doesn’t have a backstory or a personality that hints at a backstory which would explain his being a control-freak. He just has a burnt tapestry hanging on a wall that he sometimes glances at and says super vaguely, “nobody should ever have to live with their wish not coming true!” What wish, Magnifico? What did you wish for that you didn’t get? Say something that makes you real to me, or else I don’t care. Like everything else in this movie.

welcome to my world ︴ning yi zhuo
ning yi zhuo x female reader ⬳ pair.
ningning gets dared to visit a cemetery, but she doesn’t expect to find a scary, horny demon with a penchant for getting into trouble there. she doesn’t expect to fuck you, either. ⬳ sum.
noncon to dubcon, demon!reader, dom!reader, human!ningning, mentions of murder, intoxicated ningning (this is mentioned once and never brought up again), cheating, anal sex, tentacle sex, none of this is ethical behavior ⬳ content.
3k ⬳ wc.
“And one more thing,” Yeji starts, throwing you a strict look.
You groan, throwing your hands up in irritation, “I know, I know. Don’t get into trouble. You do not have to give the monologue again.”
“Do you know? Maybe I should give it again, y’know, for safe measure,” Yeji huffs, arms folded. Her yellow eyes are glowing in exasperation as the memory of the last time you went off-script unfolds behind them. “The last time we let you meander outside the underworld, you killed a human.”
“So? People die all the time.”
“You bit her. With your teeth. Injected venom into her bloodstream.”
“I’m still not seeing the issue.”
“We have unique teeth and venom from, say, earthly beings,” Yeji snaps, “People will get suspicious. You’re lucky we have connections or your ass would be hot. Literally.”
You throw her a wry smile. So maybe you got a little carried once or twice. Possibly five times. No big deal. At worst, all those humans would just start to believe in vampires. It’s not like they could prove random pretty girls were being targeted by horny demons.
Humans don’t know anything about demons at all. There’s so much more to you than evil red horns and sinister faces. You live in a society with other demons and you’re much more familiar to humans than they believe.
“Relax,” you chirp in a way that has Yeji running her hands through her hair, frustrated. When you say it like that, she can’t help but not relax. “I’ll be an angel.”
Yeji visibly recoils at that word. Not the word itself, maybe, just the fact that it leaves your mouth of all people. “Just get out of my sight. I can’t save you if Hyungwon finds out you killed another girl.”
You scoff, “What’s he gonna do? Kill me? I’m already dead, babe.”
“Don’t press your luck,” a masculine voice says in a clipped tone from behind you.
You turn, spotting Hyungwon, grim as always. You’d say it would kill this guy to smile, but he, too, is already very dead. “Hyungwon!” you sing, “The man of the hour and just the guy I wanted to see—”
“Save it,” Hyungwon spits, having none of your acts, “You have twenty-four hours. If you’re not back by then, I revoke your privileges for a year. If you kill another human, I revoke your privileges for a year. Am I clear?”
You bite your lip to fight an irritated scowl, not one to be bossed around, but you suck it up. “Crystal, sir.”
Ningning waves the flashlight around loosely. It’s pretty thick; heavy, makes her wrist hurt. But it was big and she was surrounded by nothing but pitch black darkness and dead people who were probably a mere heap of bones by now.
She hates her friends. All of them. She hates Karina for suggesting they play truth or dare. She hates Giselle for daring her to go to a creepy, dark cemetery after the sun has already set and she can’t even see the clouds. She hates Winter for not agreeing to come with her, letting her wander all alone.
You won’t be alone, she said. You’ll have a handy-dandy flashlight, she said.
On the bright side, despite the fact that Ningning can hardly see anything at all, the cemetery doesn’t look like something completely out of a horror movie. It’s not foggy out and the moon isn’t full. It’s not cold and the trees are thick with leaves that she’s sure are green. Instead, there are no stars and the moon is concealed by dark shrouds of mass.
Which might be a little worse.
Just an hour. She only has to withstand this torment for an hour and she can go back to Winter’s apartment—maybe without any severe trauma, she hopes. Checking her watch, the one her boyfriend got her last year for her birthday, she notes that she’s been here a grand total of five fucking minutes.
I’m not gonna make it, Ningning tells herself, losing all hope within the first few minutes. I’m not gonna make it, I’m not gonna make it, I’m not gonna make it—
She hears a rustle, immediately turning on the balls of her feet, and lets out a tiny, shocked squeak. She waves the flashlight around but sees nothing. Because why the fuck would anyone be in a cemetery at three in the fucking morning? Hell, she shouldn’t even be here her damn self.
It’s probably just some random critter, like a squirrel or whatever the hell else roams around at night. Maybe it’s a bird. Are they nocturnal? Ningning doesn’t really know. Bless her heart.
She doesn’t even know why she agreed to this. She could have easily said no, though of course they would have made her down an entire bottle of disgusting beer and she’s already had three—so it’s even worse that she’s intoxicated in the middle of nowhere by herself, but it’s not like anyone in their right mind would be here.
There’s another sound. Ningning turns again, shrilly shrieking out in terror, but when she tries to use the stupid flashlight it only flickers before rendering itself entirely useless. “Fuck,” she groans, throwing the flashlight.
“Ow, shit!”
Ningning startles when she hears a string of profanities, because she’s not the one to say them. She can’t see at all now, but just the knowledge of someone being there alone has her shuddering.
“Who’s there?” she asks, glancing around, trying to find the source of the noise, but she doesn’t really know where she is.
Suddenly, the flashlight flickers back on, but she’s not the one holding it. The light is shining at her. “You forgot to turn it on, dear. See, like this,” you demonstrate, “On, off. On, off. On—”
“I’m not stupid,” Ningning hisses, crossing her arms.
You snicker, coming into view, “Could’ve fooled me.”
Ningning stills when she sees you, actually sees you. She sees your completely black eyes, lacking any color at all. She sees your long braids. She sees your horns protruding out of your head. She sees the lines on your skin that look like vines almost, and it chills her to the bare bone.
She steps back, eyes widening, “What are you?”
“Nothing important,” you mumble, focusing on your prize. She’s got to be the most beautiful girl you’ve ever seen — human or not. She has the prettiest round eyes, the sweetest quivering lips. You’ve been observing her in half amusement, half curiosity for the past ten minutes, and you have no clue why this random human girl is wandering around a cemetery in short, tight pajamas, but you won’t get caught complaining.
Your tongue passes your teeth, and Ningning sees your eyes shoot pink with hunger. It frightens her.
Ningning tries to run, but one of your braids fly out to grab her, pulling her back to you. She glances at you, cheeks wet with fresh tears and she frantically begs, “No, no, no. Please let me go.”
Had Hyungwon and Yeji not gotten on your last nerve earlier, you might’ve showed her some mercy — no you wouldn’t have, but having them to blame your urges on makes you feel better — but you’re just so angry, and she looks like the perfect way to blow off some steam.
Swiping a tear out of her eye with your thumb, scalding hot skin and sharp talons gently brushing against her cheek in a way that makes her tense, you coo adoringly, “What’s your name, pretty?”
“Ningning,” she sniffles softly.
Even her name is cute. You’re going to have a fun time with this one.
Setting her on the dirt, watching her trying to get away again, you chuckle at her naivety and restrain her with the rest of your brains without moving a finger. You lower yourself to her body, ignoring how she squirms and pleas for help. Your attention is drawn to how the tight tee hugs her breast and you poke a hole into the shirt with your claws, stretching it until her tits pop out.
“Stop!” Ningning cries. “I have a boyfriend!”
“That’s cute. Don’t worry, I’ll send you back to him in good shape,” you whisper carelessly. Then your head tilts in thought, wondering if you can keep that promise. “Probably.”
Your uncertainty doesn’t console Ningning in the slightest, but she has to admit, it’s a little hot that you’re a… whatever you are. She’s never seen anything like you. She’s scared to death, but also a little turned on.
Her tits are so soft, you realize while fondling them. When your fingers pinch her nipples, she accidentally moans, and she would cover her mouth if she wasn’t fully restrained by your braids. If she wasn’t powerless.
She wonders why your hands are so warm, it feels like you’re burning her skin whenever you touch her. You wonder why you didn’t spot a find like her on your past visits to earth, but it’s probably a good thing. You, though not on purpose, would have killed her. She’s too perfect to die.
Thinking about the girls you happened to have killed makes you remember why you’re so angry in the first place and you start to get irritated. It’s not your fault if you lose control sometimes when you’re fucking these girls. Fuck, not when they look so pretty, with their scared eyes and cute faces. Not when they taste so good and they’re so tight—now you can’t help but think of how Ningning tastes and how small her pussy must be.
Ningning moves to her hands and knees but not on her own accord, but because your braids move her. “What are you doing?” She asks innocently.
“Don’t worry, Ningning,” you say, grinning cheekily. “It’ll feel so good.”
Ningning gasps when you rip her tiny shorts off, then her panties, and you find it so cute that they’re so wet, sticking to her cunt. Before you ripped them to shreds, at least. Ningning, against her better judgment, gets excited at the thought of you fucking her, wiggling her ass a little.
You growl, a sound that makes Ningning giggle, although a little terrifying. She’s oblivious, though, when you grope her cunt and damp your palm with her wetness, just moaning at the feeling of being toyed with. She’s oblivious when you spread her juices all over her ass. She’s oblivious when you slide down your pants, freeing a tentacle from your underwear.
“I’m gonna fuck you now,” you warn while sinking to your knees, which is nice enough, although you’re feeling anything but.
Ningning’s visibly anticipating it, her pussy still leaking with all her wet fluids. So much for her having a boyfriend. To be fair, though, the poor guy wouldn’t believe you if you told him that his sweet girlfriend was slutting herself out to a demon — in a cemetery, no less. So, really, there’s no point in confessing to the act.
She’s disturbed when she feels it, the slick rod slithering around her rim, confused as it dips inside her ass and not her pussy. She gasps, but you don’t have the patience to stop, impaling her on your long tentacle, fitting as much as you can in one swift go. It’s too long for her pussy, especially as tiny and frankly tight as it is.
Conflicted, Ningning stills in shock. She doesn’t know whether or not she should ask you what the hell that is inside her, or tell you that you’re in the wrong hole. She writhes, seeming to forget that there’s nowhere to go, trapped by every inch of you as you force her into a cage of yourself.
“Where you going, pretty?” You ask, laughing at her desperation. You like that nickname on her. It’s fitting.
“Wrong hole,” she exhales with half a breath, like you knocked the wind out of her. “No, pull out! Wrong—”
“Right,” you hiss, already drawing yourself in and out of her, face twisting. “It’s the right hole, baby.”
Tears prick Ningning’s eyes as you fuck her unprepared ass, her hand slipping out of the dirt as she reaches behind herself to make you quit it, but her arm is grabbed again by one of your braids that obey your every command like little serving serpents.
“B-but,” she stammers, evidently worried. “I’ve never… I’ve never been fucked there before.”
Something about that just lights up the biggest spark in you. “Never?”
Ningning shakes her head, and you wish you could see her eyes, knowing that they’re so round with innocent twinkles.
“Fuck,” you hiss loudly, but it’s not really an issue. What, are you gonna wake up the dead? “Guess I’ll have to break you in, huh? Send you back home with a couple of pointers for your boyfriend.”
Ningning only blinks at the mention of her boyfriend that she’d seemingly been so loyal to only moments ago, and she seems to remember for the first time in a minute that she’s vowed to a commitment, but it’s forgotten in the same instant as she feels you press inside her fleshy ass and her head tips back, a sweet-sounding, light noise filling your ears.
Her ass is so pretty and tight, and it’s all that you can think about. It’s such a shame that her boyfriend’s never fucked her there, but not for you. Matter of fact, you love that you’re her first. You love that no one’s ever felt what you’re feeling right now, like it’s something especially reserved for you.
You don’t want to send her back to her boyfriend, really. You want to keep her with you like a pet, take her to the underworld and fuck her holes whenever you please. Yeji and Hyungwon would never approve, though — guardians of the underworld and all — and somehow that only upsets you even more, fucking her sloppy holes rougher.
She arches her back, and it’s the prettiest arch, too. The prettiest arch you’ve ever seen. You hiss, slapping your palm against her ass. Ningning cries out, and you’ve heard that blend of pleasure and pain before, recognize it as something all too familiar. It comes with the territory.
You ease up, letting your braids slacken, knowing she won’t try to get away from you anymore. Not with the sinful sounds that sound like music to your ears and how she lets you use her ass, lets you have your way with her entirely, like every rational thought has been fucked out of her fuzzy brain and the idea of preserving herself for survival doesn’t even occur to her anymore.
Instead she’s more focused on being such a slut, reaching behind herself again, not to stop you, but to spread her ass for you. The sight is something out of your dreams, you’ve never been more thankful for your excellent vision. That’s when you know she has you, and from her giggles, she knows it too.
“You’re such a nasty little thing,” you chide, smacking her ass again. She whimpers, her soaked pussy tightening around nothing. “Spreading yourself for a demon?”
Finally able to put a name to the monster she’s exposed to, corrupting her. You’re so deep inside her, as deep as you can go, because if you could go any deeper without hurting her too much, you would. She knows that you have more to offer — she accidentally felt your slippery, slick tentacle when she reached behind her back. It’s raw and slimy, gushing inside her ass. She loves it so much now, babbling about how full she feels.
“Yeji and Hyungwon don’t know what they’re talking about,” you rant mindlessly, not caring that you’re exposing your world. Ningning can tell that you’re upset from the tone you ramble in, she could tell from the pace you fuck her with. “I can protect you. Other demons would only destroy your precious soul in minutes, I would take care of you. I’d never let anything take you.”
Ningning’s not sure what you’re going on about, but she’s gone too dumb to care, just agreeing, “Uh huh, y-yeah. Please.”
“Shit,” you curse, because she’s so much, but not enough. You extend another four tentacles that Ningning didn’t even know you had, stuffing two up her soaked pussy and forcing one inside her mouth. The other one joins the one in her ass, because they’re not too thick for her to take, too thin.
Ningning’s noises are muffled against your tentacle, but if she could, she would go on and on about how full she is. She thought she was full before, but that was nothing compared to now, how over occupied she is. You’ve filled all her holes and she feels like she’s floating. It hurts, but it doesn’t. There’s something so mysterious about it. Something so enigmatic that she’ll never understand.
You desperately want to bite her, but for once in your life, you try to have some control. She can’t die. Not after you just went on your whole spill about how you would protect her, and you weren’t just saying words, you really, really do want to keep her safe. Even if it means from yourself. Yeji would be proud — if you left out all the other details of this tryst.
In fact, there’s only one real reason why she’s less strict than Hyungwon.
Ningning gets the most surreal feeling and it’s not just the knot in her gut, growing with every thrust. She’s getting off to being fucked not just by some stranger, but by something she thought she’d only see in her dreams. A demon with horns and slimy tentacles that stroke her in all of the right places. Her pussy is gushing around you, her tongue is warm and flat, and her ass is so tight and small.
No human has ever gotten her this aroused. She’s dripping onto you and it’s borderline embarrassing, because all she can think about is the fact that you’re a demon using her holes. Fuck, she doesn’t know why, but that thought alone is making quick work of her.
She shoves gently at the tentacle occupying her mouth, because she doesn’t want to hurt you, and asks sweetly with a hoarse throat, “W-what’s your name?”
“Y/N,” you whisper.
And she almost screams it. The last push hits, the waves come in, and everything breaks loose, and she cries your name in between a string of expletives as her pussy spasms around your tentacles in orgasm. It’s the most intense one she’s ever had, making her whole body quiver and the world around her reel as she starts to feel lightheaded.
You’re not finished, though. She notices that immediately. It drives her mad, the overstimulation. She’s so sensitive that she thinks she can’t handle it, whining, “Too much—”
“Take it,” you order sharply.
“I can’t.”
The tentacle is back in her mouth in a matter of seconds to shut her up, your braids back to restraining her as she attempts to sneak away, but you won’t let her go. Not before you’re finished with her, done using her. Ningning’s not used to this. Not used to the stretch, not used to pleasure to this extent, not used to the overstimulation. She just feels like a set of holes for you to fuck.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about, pretty,” you convince her. “You can take it for me. It’s what you were meant to do.”
Ningning hums, bobbing her head around you as she sucks you off greedily. Gobbling is a better word. It keeps her attention while your thumb massages her ass, and she grinds her ass back against you, too. The most inconsistent girl in the world.
She’s like a rot, corrupting you from head to toe. It makes you burn, makes you wish you could fuck her forever, because you would. She’s perfect, and you don’t throw that word around loosely. She’s making you lose your grip in a different way than any other mortal has, in a way that’s probably dangerous, too, but you can’t be bothered to care.
Thoughts of keeping her consume you alive. That’s all it really takes for you to blow your load, a couple more slams before you halt entirely, moaning her name too loudly. “Shit, Ningning—”
She moans, too, you feel it around one of your tentacles. It fills her everywhere — sticky, gooey cum, seeping into her ass and her pussy and her mouth. Ningning tries to swallow all of your cum, but it’s too much, dripping down her chin messily. It’s why she doesn’t feel empty when you at last pull out of her holes, because this icky substance is keeping her nice and full.
“Oh my god,” Ningning whispers. She’s ironically never felt more alive. “That was so…” Perfect.
Her chest heaves, her entire body drenched in sweat and slime and goo. It’s nasty, she feels nasty, but she likes it, too. She doesn’t think of how she’ll get back to Winter’s apartment when she looks the way she looks and her clothes are nonexistent. Thanks to you.
Then it hits you, after climaxing. It wouldn’t matter, really, if Hyungwon banned you from visiting earth, if you snuck Ningning to the underworld.
Your world.
“C’mon, pretty,” you say with a coquettish grin, helping her stand. “I just had a bad idea.”

So, some people may have noticed this but I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to bring attention to it and I wanted people to just assume it was someone theorizing. But it appears someone from my ex friend circle whom I had trusted with certain details of how Discord Whooves would end decided to stoop to a lower than low level and ruin the ending for anyone who stumbled on their posts that had been made on a blog made specifically to post spoilers and tag them with common tags Discord Whooves uses. I’m sure it was out of sheer spite towards me and the people who dared to support my work.
Saying bad things about me and things I’ve done and said, okay that’s justifiable. But going out of their way to take something I once trusted them with because I thought we were close friends, and then throwing it out for the world to see out of revenge against me and anyone following me? That’s just petty, immature, and a really low blow to make. Even if I really hated someone, I would never reveal their harmless secrets to the world just to get back at them. There’s a chance to be the better person, and at least have some code of ethics to know when it’s going too far. I deserved to be called out. I didn’t deserve to have my 12 years of work undermined by a vindictive person who can’t move forward, and my fans didn’t deserve it either because they are not even involved in this drama.
There is a point where revenge goes too far and one crosses over into just being villainously cruel.
It’s sad, and really pathetic that someone thinks they have to do everything in their power to screw me over in some way instead of trying to actually recover and get past the point of obsession over wanting to get back at me all the time.
I’m sorry the whole world isn’t against me like you want it to be. I’m sorry a lot of people believe in recovery and the fact that I feel terrible enough already about my shitty actions in the past and am doing everything in my power to avoid anything like that happening ever again. I’m sorry I’m not being bombarded by hoards of angry people calling me names and telling me to kill myself. I’m sorry my feeling horrible isn’t enough to satiate you and all you want is to see me suffer.
It’s been years now. YEARS. For the sake of your own mental well being, just cut me out of your life completely and stop obsessing over me. You already won. I am constantly in a state of panic thinking of this shit and how else it’s going to come and bite me in the ass. I lost the comic website I depended on, I’ve lost a huge chunk of my readership and no longer really have my ‘popular’ status. (very rarely get fan art, not being bombarded by asks constantly, no longer receive fan mail, original projects aren’t catching on very well) Selling commissions has gotten increasingly more difficult. My insomnia is worse than ever and I have to take heavy duty sedatives just to sleep because my mind won’t stop spiraling about this stuff. I cannot go a single day without feeling guilt, regret, self hatred, and doubt and wishing hopelessly that I just never did those things. I have severe trust issues and have almost no one I can feel comfortable enough sharing anything personal or story related with which was just made even WORSE by these recent actions, and I haven’t been able to form new bonds with anyone in years either.
I know I hurt you badly, I know what I did was incredibly wrong and irresponsible, and I don’t know how it’s affected you over the years but this rage and anger is not good for anyone. I don’t hate you. I just want you to be able to move on and learn to be healthy and happy and no longer stuck thinking about me and how much you hate me and want me to fall. I don’t want to be hurting you by just existing and trying to move on with my own life, and I wish there was something- ANYTHING I could do to bring you peace.
But the only one who can ultimately bring you peace is yourself. So you can keep on trying to claw and bite and drag me down with you, or you could be the better person and try to just move forward and put the past in the past where it belongs.
I’m not mad. I’m just incredibly disappointed. I would have thought you were better than this, but I was wrong. I was wrong to ever even trust you as a friend, and I wish we were never friends to begin with, or even ever met, and I’m sure you feel the same way.

Here to vent. Everything you said was perfectly said and I agree. The issue is and has always been (imo) is that no one stands up for lewis appropriately. Just a lot of empty words. And I don’t even mean just his team and teammate I mean in general. I don’t trust a single person around him in that sport. It’s tiring sad and exhausting because every week i anticipate abuse or bias against him with little to no support or backlash for certain actions against him. Even other drivers that are nice to him I don’t believe it. Maybe I’m being far too cautious but no one around him has given appropriate levels of support in all situations that require it. Irrespective of who Lewis is and how he wishes to deal with things, his team have a duty of care to support him, treat him equally and protect him and I feel like because he can articulate himself rather well most of the time, has a mindset of rising above and a good work ethic / strong will - they assume he doesn’t need the support. Everyone needs it. And the difference between how they treat George Vs him is like day and night, very different and very gross. It may be unconscious or deliberate, but regardless of which it is it’s worrying. The team in a general sense hasn’t been the same since 2021. The dynamic has shifted, the strengths that made them a force have disappeared, social media has been a mess etc i could make an entire list. What’s happening here isn’t something a fast car is going to fix. That being said i don’t think Lewis needs to leave the team per se but I do think there needs to be some changes and fast. You don’t necessarily need to quit a job straight away, sometimes what’s obvious to us isn’t obvious to everyone and can potentially be solved. He clearly gets along with many of the people there and feels comfortable there, and amongst thousands of employees there are only some that need to be better in regards to the problems I am discussing so I won’t dictate to him about whether he should go elsewhere or leave. He’s grown he can make those choices himself (not saying you are trying to talk for him btw i hope that doesn’t sound rude to you) but I do think he may need an eye opener as does the team that they are just not working well lately. For a while. Things need to change. I think these issues are fixable though with the correct support and people. Honestly as a black person myself this is tiring seeing things play out like this as all too often I have experienced these things too. Merc has some gems in their team for sure but that’s being overshadowed by a colossal pile of problems. I want Lewis to have support. It’s not about babying him. It’s about the fact that he rarely gets support sufficiently (and it’s still lacking) until he’s being called slurs. This sport is rotten and I wish I could tune it out. Every race week I’m anxious.
thank you and i agree
you're not being too cautious, i feel you there. this perfectly describes the conditioning we've had through microaggressions and racism irl. you just can't let your guard down. it's instinctive and it's stressful especially when you know there's nothing you can do about it.
the number of times this team has failed to show up for him is concerning. and really, we (i) don't expect a special treatment or babying, in fact, there's no need for a pedestal they keep putting him on when it suits the brand. just let him be a fucking human? back him up when you know everything he does invites insane levels of hatred and abuse.
and you're so right! if anything, a fast car is going to make things worse for them given the team dynamic they're cultivating, quite evidently through social media at least and often with strategy. i get that the car is shit but they can easily put effort into sorting these issues out. they're just too casual with the way they leave him to fend for himself just because he can. but are quick to exploit his success, emotions and words.
and many are failing to see why we are unhappy. george is a selfish asshole which well all the drivers are. but he is not a threat to lewis in terms of race craft or talent. it's what this team is actively trying to portray that's damaging and pissing us off. i get it, it's not a portrayal of the entire team but then they need to stop taking advantage of lewis' character and show him the support he deserves.

Dean Winchester
“I’m Dean Winchester, I’m an Aquarius, like long walks on the beach and frisky women. Me and my brother Sammy hunt the things that go bump in the night, yeah that’s right we’re hunters. Family business and all. There isn’t anything I won’t do to protect my brother, even if it means sacrificing myself. My car Baby is the best Sammy and I have a lot of memories in it and it's been in some tough situations but it’s always dependable unlike most people, oh and I love pie and classic rock. Remember driver picks the music, shotgun shuts their cake hole. So if you think you have a ghost problem or maybe some ghoul stuff give me a call”
Lloyd Hansen
“Hello Sunshine! I don’t know why I need to say anything about myself. I should be pretty well known by now, but sure let me tell you about my favorite subject…me. I used to work for the CIA but then I decided why not freelance and be my own boss, which means my own rules. I’m sure everyone wants to know why I left the CIA, well it’s simple. I like doing things in lets say non ethical, non legal ways and that ruffled some feathers I guess, too bad for them I guess. Sent me to do a job to get some flash drive and had the biggest thorn in my ass….Court Gentry, dickhead messed up my hand and well that was my torture and shooting hand. Need something dealt with Sunshine you know how to find me”
Ransom Drysdale
“I don’t like you and I can guarantee you won’t like me,but you’ll probably love my money, well my family's money. I’ve been called many names, some of my favorite Trust Fund prick, asshole, jerk and many more, but what’s funny is everyone once you find out you have money everyone has their grubby hands out. I’m probably the most interesting, fascinating person you will ever meet and I will make your dull little life exciting. The only person I care about is me, myself and I, and when I found out my grandfather was cutting me out of his will, well I couldn’t let that happen could I did what I had too. And what was that you ask, you didn’t ask? Well too bad I’m telling you anyway, nothing short of murder (twice, wow I know) and I tried to frame the help. Just a normal day when you have money, so if I’m bored I might want to talk depends on my mood.
Rebecca Allen
Rebecca Allen was a woman with a bright future, that all changed the day she became Pandora Celestia. The day was ordinary until it wasn’t, the explosion should have killed her but instead it turned her into something more. As she lay close to death the terrigen mist enveloped her, keeping death away and giving her powers beyond her knowledge. Visions, terrible and horrible, are always destined to come true. She was able to peer inside of people’s minds and sway them to her will, and after enough practice could hone her powers into a physical weapon.
And thus Pandora Celestia was born, the powers she wielded terrified her and every time she feared she would lose control and either she would be destroyed or the power would over take her. Eventually she learned to hide her powers hoping that one day she could learn to control them and use them for good. Trying to help those she can, she's always vigilant to not over use her powers but to do everything she can to help anyone who needs it.

Cassandra Pendragon “Cassie”
Age: 200+ (long life from powerful witchcraft and being a shifter)
Cassandra Pendragon or Cassie as was called by friends, came from a long line of witches going all the way back to King Authur. She was rather proud of that aspect of her family tree, it gave her some credibility in case her skills were ever questioned. And it wasn’t often that her skills were questioned, but mistakes could be made. Speaking of mistakes, the other half of her family was what most people in the witch/magic community deemed “Undesirable” ; it was always thought that being a shifter made magic weak. Cassie on the other hand found that to not be the case, in fact she felt her magic was stronger for it. When she shifted her magic complimented her form, she became what she called a mystic wolf.
Abilities: Powerful spells and hexes, the ability to turn into a wolf or cat
Once witches and shifters alike found out about her she was shunned by both groups, witches feared the amount of power she had, and shifters didn’t normally trust witches so this made them even more wary. After taking various odd jobs, one went south and a witch and shifter were killed.Cassie received the blame and was hunted, always on the run she did what she had to in order to survive. She wasn’t against killing but it was only done if there was no other option. While on the run she realized she could turn into a simple house cat. Being a house cat was great to gather information and hide. Deciding she needs to set her name right she sets out to find the real killers so she can go back to her “normal life”
Ophelia Deathholme
Age: 40
Abilities: Can resurrect the dead, can communicate with the dead and has the abilities of the dead she encounters.
(dividers made by @saradika-graphics) (art from Pinterest)
Necromancy the practice of communicating with the dead in order to predict the future, that was at least the actual definition of the word.To Ophelia Deathholme it was more than just the plot to a book or movie it was part of her job, she used her talents to raise the dead working as a coroner for the police. The dead needed a voice, someone to get them justice, to help their families move on, to help the departed to move on. Initially she was met with skepticism. People thought she was taking advantage of the families by giving them “false” hope, that changed when she brought back a young woman who had been brutally murdered.
The family and officers were in the room and Ophelia kept trying to tell them all that her story wasn’t over, after being told numerous times to just do her job she took matters into her own hands. Normally the bigger the sacrifice the bigger the return, since all Ophelia needed was the young woman to speak she just used a small amount of her own blood. Speaking the words she knew too well the young woman sat up staring at Ophelia, the family was shocked and one of the cops passed out. Ophelia looked at the woman, her voice soft “Who killed you?” The young woman swallowed hard and paused as if trying to figure out the answer.
Everyone watched as the woman began to point, suddenly the lights went out and movement could be heard. Suddenly screaming broke out, then nothing, Ophelia backed up until she was touching the dead woman. She felt a whisper in her ear “He will find you little necromancy he wants your power by any means necessary.” Swallowing hard Ophelia the lights turned on and she was shocked at what she saw, everyone in the room was dead and arranged to spell her first name.
The young woman looks at her family sadly before turning back to Ophelia “He has been watching you, watching your power grow until the time is right. He will come for you and try and tempt you, do not allow him to. He will destroy the world and you will be his tool” The young woman coughs hard and smiles “Thank you for giving me justice, my father killed me in a fit of anger and now I can rest” The young woman motions Ophelia to move closer “We the dead wish to help you, we shall lend you our gifts for you will need them.” The air changes and Ophelia gasps as she feels power flowing into her, falling to the floor she passes out.
Waking hours later she feels strangely refreshed, standing she cries out in pain. Finally standing she makes her way to a sink and looks in the mirror at a large jagged wound across her face.
“Great just great” “I recommend cleansing the wound and then applying butterfly bandages to the wound” Looking Ophelia sees a young nurse, quickly realizing that she was a ghost. The ghost smiles and bows and walks over to Ophelia and walks into her, her eyes roll back into her head as she begins taking care of her wounds. Once finished the ghost leaves Ophelia’s body and bows again before leaving, gasping as she sits on the floor, realizing that now not only can she raise the dead but they can use their skills to help her. Realizing she has this power she uses it to still help the dead but now must figure out who has been watching her and why.

*Long Ask Incoming*
Do you know much about polyamory or Ethical Non Monogamous Relationships? I was introduced to it a while ago and have been thinking about it ever since. I dated a man who was married and his wife was in a relationship for over a year with another man. I really enjoyed it. I could go on dates with him and have fun and run up his credit card bill without the expectation of anything deeper ever happening between us. I didn’t even have sex with him. While she cooked, cleaned, took care of their kids and dated her boyfriend.
I think it’s the perfect dynamic for me. I don’t have the most supportive family or friends and men generally tend to take advantage of that once they realize I don’t have a lot of people in my corner. Because of past experiences, the idea of being in a relationship and married to one man will leave me extremely vulnerable and at risk, so that scares me. I don’t want to run the risk of marrying a man who thinks he has me trapped once we get married.
I’ve learned that this lifestyle is more common than most people think. There’s many couples doing it quietly (the couples who are loud and obnoxious about it tend to be messy and have high divorce rates). I’ve seen healthy long marriages with well adjusted children. I think this would be perfect for me because it will give me and my future long term partner flexibility and we won’t feel the resentment towards each other, once love and hormones fade away, like it does in every couple (every elder has advised that love is not enough to sustain a marriage long term because it’s just an emotion). He can have his women on the side who he messes around with, while taking care of my needs and providing the essentials for his family. My kids will get the financial benefits and have two parents that get along and like each other; these are my main priorities. Essentially our marriage would be the legal document that validates our partnership and dedication to our family.
One hesitation that I have about traditional marriage is that I’m expected to get all of my romance and love from ONE single person for the rest of my life and I don’t like that. That’s too much of a load to carry and I can’t imagine myself being interested in only one person for the rest of my life. Most people aren’t either, which is why cheating, be it physical or emotional are nearly unavoidable nowadays.
I can see myself being in short term relationships with 1 or 2 men every couple of years. We can go on dates and travel. I think the type of men who would be best suited for my side relationships would be the “I don’t believe in marriage types”. I see women in relationships with men like that and there’s nothing wrong with him except that he won’t marry them, but in our current social climate that gets him labeled as a “selfish man who wastes women’s time”. That would be the perfect guy for me. We could date without the expectation of marriage. If he finds someone else down the line and he leaves me, I won’t be an emotional wreck because he was just a fun little boyfriend.
I think giving this dynamic a label and making it clear at the beginning what the expectations are is ideal. Many married women are in one sided polyamorous relationships and they don’t even know it. So I might as well go into it intentionally.
I think it’s ok to admit that marriage isn’t for everyone. If you can’t see yourself with one person forever that’s completely fine. And if you find someone who wants to be in an open marriage with you then I’d suggest trying it out before having children. If it works for you after testing it out then so be it. We all have our preferences. One thing I will say is that men don’t really see themselves benefiting from an open marriage. The thrill of the secrecy of cheating is what drives them for whatever reason and taking that away doesn’t really do much for them. They are also self centered and possessive so even though they are cheating, they don’t like the fact that their woman is being sexual with another man. They also know that in an open marriage, a woman has much more options and pull than a man and their ego gets crushed by this. I suppose this is why many “open marriages are not spoken about and more of a “look the other way” type of thing. Personally I’d prefer a monogamous arrangement because of the possibility of STD’s and such. I have no trouble committing to one person so as long as they can acknowledge and accept that we will be constantly evolving and choose to accept each other continuously. Obviously most people cheat but it’s just something that I’d rather have a lot to gain from (cheating clause) if that were to happen in my marriage. Aside from that, I do have plenty of men in my life that have been monogamous without an issue and I rather keep that standard. The women in my life know how to be the center of attention and always keep their men on their toes. You should never let a man think that you’re trapped or locked down after marriage. For us, the man’s chase never ends and they rather enjoy it. Even when there has been suspicions they’ve hired PI only to find out their partners were trying to surprise them with something special. These kinds of men do exist and I’d rather have that dynamic.

Hey! I loved writing your ship and wanted to request one from you with my very excessive self-insert if that’s OK :D her site is https://brynnwrites(.)my(.)canva(.)site/green-thumb. It’s not essential reading or anything, just if I don’t give enough details since I’m not good at sending requests! I overthink dumb stuf and either add way too much or redact way too much.
My self-insert is named Bernadine “Bernie” Feldt, and she’s a twenty-five-year-old D-level Supe with the power of florakinesis: controlling and manipulating plants. She graduated from Godolkin University with a double-major in Environmental Science and Public Relations, as well as a minor in Journalism, and began working as a Public Relations and Sensitivity Agent for the environmental agency Friends of the Earth after that. She loves to read, write, and garden — the traditional way, not the Supe way — as well as cuddle with her chihuahua-shih tzu mix, Olive. Loves ‘90s indie-rock and lo-fi a lá Silver Jews, Galaxie 500, Magnetic Fields, and Sebadoh. Typically wears geometric sweaters (no matter the weather), bermuda shorts (also no matter the weather), denim skirts, crimson tights, ribbed tank tops, vegan Dr. Marten’s boots, corduroy pants and skirts, “bohemian” jewelry, and minimalistic button-ups. She was injected with V when she was a baby, and due to her heavily Lutheran upbringing, was taught that it was a “sign from God” — something that she learned to be entirely false after Starlight’s speech. Because of this, she splintered off from her family and began re-evaluating her entire life. She caused a stir when she publicly denounced “Supedom”, publishing her thoughts on what she dubbed “Supe Theory” — concerning the ethics of not just making superpowered individuals, but them living onwards — yet continued onwards, publishing articles on open-source publishing platforms (such as Medium) and looking into grad school to begin deconstructing Supes — and, by extension, Vought — academically. Disgusted with the imbalance of power, she contacted Hughie Campbell of the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs.
As such, she is incredibly organized, passionate, and principled. Bernie is one of those people who say, “if you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all”. While one could attribute it to her strict upbringing, it is something she genuinely believes. However, these supposedly good attributes bring issues — Bernie’s pursuit of the ultimate “right decision” leads to overwhelmingly impractical decisions. She won’t even admit it, because she truly expects everyone and everything to be perfect, and that if the “perfect” answer doesn’t yield the best result, it’s the fault of the people who “don’t believe in goodness/rightness/etc.). And, of course, that backfires against her, because she does not fit into those standards. It’s rough.
She has unmedicated OCD, which poses a plethora of challenges. When she was thirteen, she was given Seroquel, and did random things that most people would just tell as a funny story: sleep-walking, saying random but harmless things, eating food, etc. However, even as a pre-teen, Bernie experienced extreme anxiety over her powers, and feared her power could turn out disastrously. Because of that, she began meticulously documenting everything she did, whether it was eating, sneezing, or turning on the T.V. Additionally, she began fixated on things she made having a count of 25 or being divisible by 25, yet this isn’t linked to anything significant, in contrast to the former.
For canon-neutral (so excluding Starlight's speech and the FBSA), she's an incredibly low-tier Supe who is carrying a lot of guilt, as, while pursuing a robber, she accidentally killed an eighty-year-old grandmother by covering her in beautiful hydrangeas, leading to one of her beautiful brown eyes to pop out. The news covered it up, and despite that, she hasn't publicly addressed it, even though she's addressed all other cover-ups by the media and Vought. She lives in an apartment with her dog, works a 9-5, hypes herself up to play Environmentalist Pageant for people who are just trying to avoid taxes, and is 99.99% close to breaking and telling everyone to open their eyes, Fiona Apple '97 MTV style. With a lot less flair, though, because Bernie does not get to any mainstream news except when she's protesting Boar's Head in Virginia (which would age well in her favor, and poorly in Boar's Head's favor?).
My self-insert and I are bisexual, but lean a lot more towards women, since the romance/connection is a lot more natural and easy to recognize. However, I am fine with whoever you think is most compatible for me since I'm attracted to both genders, I just would take more time for a guy, but the feelings would still be as strong! Thank you for being so awesome and sending me an ask.
— Brynnterpretations (felt weird sending it from my main LOL), love your writing SM ♡
Bernies sense of justice was what got Kimiko interested in her. Because she's with The Boys and morals are pretty loose, seeing how much she cares and how she thinks about everything, it was new and admirable
Truthfully, I see Kimiko liking big dogs since they offer more protection, but as soon as she sees Olive, she melts. She'd do anything for that dog (and has). Her little paws don't touch the ground with Kimiko because she carries her everywhere
Kimiko gives her a lot of comfort with the accident. It might take a long time to talk about it, but Kimiko 100% sees it as an accident and has a long talk with Bernie about mistakes and guilt and self-blame. She hates to see her hurting
Kimiko would try to get Bernie to talk to M.M. about her OCD, especially when it's getting too overwhelming. She doesn't want to force her, that's her decision, but she knows it would benefit her to have someone who understands
Kimiko works incredibly hard to have a green thumb and definitely almost scares Bernie with her excitement and insistence when really all she wants to show her is that the bud she planted and waters and keeps on her desk has bloomed just a little. It's endearing how much effort and thought Kimiko puts into keeping this one plant alive just for Bernie
- @brynnterpretations my love!!! Omg I love Bernie!!! I did go to the website to see what she looked like I hope you don't mind!!! This inspired me so much to revisit an old OC so thank you!!!! I hope you like it!!! Xoxoxo💜💜💜💜

My Ship Unmoors from the Habitica Docks
((Or: Habitica Ban Speedrun, Sub 1 Hour, Luigi Citrusella Wins (Loses?) By Doing Absolutely Nothing (or at least nothing that would have warranted that kind of response from staff, seriously)
There was an anonymous asker on my blog in Feburary saying I should voice my concerns about Habitica on Habitica, and I wanted to let them know: I did it!
If you’re curious what I wrote, it was the following (slightly modified, as the character count my draft doc gave me didn’t match Habitica’s character count logic so it was over character limit):
So when I originally came up with the idea of making this post I thought I'd frame it like a two-weeks' notice for a job, a little ha-ha nod to years of my serving wench moniker… but then as time went on, it didn't feel right. So I'll just lay it all out.
I can't do this anymore. I can't continue being complicit with a staff that:
makes decisions that seem retaliatory and then disallows anyone from discussing it or their feelings surrounding it, even if other people remark on a way the community changed from it that they're confused about
uses alts (scroll to bottom and show the last images in the set) to artificially inflate staff post like counts to make them seem better-received than they are
fearmongers Socialites by implying they are witnessing bannable behavior and encouraging it
thinks that being anti-censorship is a personal attack
strongarms users into silence (but only tells Socialites, for some reason) so rudely that several users (including myself) asked for their tiers to be removed
changes the community guidelines so that if they discipline you in any way they're not required to tell you what you did wrong, so it's possible for you to be blindsided by a disciplinary action and have no idea what you did
This post isn't "relitigating" anything because litigation in a fair court implies the possibility for more than one outcome. I'm just sharing how I feel, which is something that used to be allowed. However, given that I'm sharing feelings that are something other than Shiny Happy People about something that staff would rather enforce a forgetting-of by silencing those who also want to move on but needed to work through their feelings about it, I'm sure staff won't feel the same way. I know from the fact that several people have been banned for saying anything that there's only one thing that will happen when I post this.
Since staff are more interested in throwing their admin toys at people who disagree with their actions than, you know, actually talking things out other than behind closed doors, I'm sure that this will end with me being muted or banned. I've made my peace with that, which is why my name is what it is.
I've made this post because, as a Socialite, I feel it's of grave importance that people have complete, accurate information to work off and with little to no word from staff this is the most complete info I can share in 3000 characters. My penchant for sharing my knowledge hasn't changed just because my tiers are gone; I've just accepted that there are far better, more ethical places to volunteer one's time. I'm sorry staff don't seem to feel the same way.
Thank you. For everything.
Staff liked it so much that this happened within 20 minutes!
(That’s a chat mute, which I am familiar with the basic look of because I once (twice, actually) asked for a temporary one specifically to get screenshots of it for fact-finding science reasons.)
And then within the hour, more or less without me doing anything additional on the level of warranting it, this happened!
(That is a full site ban. I cannot use the site at all. Very interesting that this kind of thing took 20 minutes to an hour to receive this level of action but I saw full-on (real) community guidelines violations sit unhidden for hours in the same chat as recently as a week ago.)
I expected this sort of thing to happen (to the point that I prepared and got basically all my pertinent user info just in case, but I hope it’s clear now why I waited until I no longer had commitments tying me to the site, and why I didn’t expect posting it to the site to be effective at changing anything. I’m not so much mad as disappointed at this point. The kind of quiet anger I reserve for a very select few things in my life, as it were.
Except for the part I didn’t mention yet where they also hid a post in a guild I owned (The Crystal Gems guild) that contained important information for the guild members regarding a temporary leader I was assigning because even if I hadn’t gotten banned I’d planned to stop using the site tonight either way, which meant a following post by someone else suddenly lacked important context and might have made it look like the search for a more permanent leader I’d asked about a few days prior was over. Someone had to clarify in my stead what that meant because the context I’d already provided was suddenly missing. That makes me angry because it’s even more needlessly petty than the reaction to the quoted post above that I knew they’d be upset with.
TL;DR: I finally posted about the state of Habitica on Habitica. Staff didn’t take it well and nothing is changing. -_-’
Screenshot of the version of the post that actually was posted to (and hidden on) Habitica under the cut. It does not have alt text but is nearly identical to the block quote above so that will serve as its image description. I’ll add here that my name had been changed from “citrusella, the serving wench💔” to “💔 the serving wench quits 💔” and my avatar is shrouded in black and red under a dark rain cloud (it’s been like that for months, but only because when other people started getting banned I changed my avatar into something I was comfortable with it being “buried” in, in case I got banned suddenly).))

Colors of Another Sky: Mending a Nation
A few thoughts from Jason on the whole mess with nobi. It’s a legit survival concern, if you look at the Imjin War one of the factors making it so awful for Joseon was the fact that about 30% of the population were nobi and thus not allowed to fight. You cut your available manpower that much, you have problems....
Jason Finn
The first step in fixing a sick country is knowing who you can trust. Which is why I’m writing this all in English. I have to write stuff down to think it through, I want Mary to know what I was up to if things go wrong... and if Chae or Lee Cheong find this, they’re not going to rat me out. They might argue with me; I kind of hope they do, I need someone to help me find any holes before I step in them. But they won’t turn me in to some legislative minister just for saying slavery is wrong.
Eventually other people are going to learn English. I hope by that time I’ll have them all corrupted - er, thinking by then.
Problem is, thinking isn’t enough. According to Chae there are already plenty of sincere Confucians who believe slavery is inhumane and not in accordance with the five proper relationships between people. Thing is, those are usually the poor scholars who have a hard enough time affording their own books, not the rich yangban. Wealth here is rice, and that takes a lot of land and a lot of people to work it. So. They have nobi.
Which does give me at least two angles of attack. First, is there anything I can suggest that’d make growing rice easier? The more time farmers have for themselves the more likely they could buy out their own contracts. Plus, more food is just a good idea.
Second, and longer term - find some way to break the rice-as-taxes link. That’s going to be a lot trickier.
I’m not an economist. I’ll focus on feeding people. If people can afford to eat, they don’t have to sell themselves to avoid starving. If they have more than enough to eat, they can take in orphans so those kids don’t become nobi. It won’t solve the whole problem, but it’s somewhere to start.
Not to mention, constantly stressing about the next famine makes people dig in their heels about changing anything. You need breathing room before people can afford to think about major upset to how they live their lives. Hungry people don’t think.
...I mean, you can do it, but it’s like trying to climb a mountain with a lead backpack.
So. More food. We need more crops, and better crops; man I’d maim for fries with ketchup-
Potatoes are excellent food. So are tomatoes, but potatoes are the real game-changer. Dig it right, plant it right, keep the bugs picked off and watch out for potato blight, and they grow. And when it comes to harvest, just dig, bake, and eat. Way less work than rice. We need potatoes!
...We need at least ten or more different varieties, so we stand a chance of resisting blight. And cultivators who can kill molds like swatting flies. Talk to Chin-sun. It’s got to be similar to killing ringworm or athlete’s foot. I think.
Make it so people aren’t starving, then I can bring up morals and ethics. And how knowing your country is virtuous and honorable makes people fight harder. Between Nurhaci, the Ming, and everyone else in the neighborhood, we’re going to have to fight.
...Ooh yes. There’s a place to start changing hearts and minds. Bring up Sun Tzu, and how important supplies are....

Avengers React 2
Preface: The Sokovia accords are presented to the avengers by Secretary Ross. You, an unknown, enhanced individual, can tip the scale in either favor. Whilst being discussed amongst the Avengers--despite being relatively new to the group--you know better than anyone what 'dangerous' is. So, how will they react when you agree with Tony?
Warning(s): Cursing, mentions of death
Tension was never your strong suit. You've operated alone for the most part, usually in the shadows of cities. You kept your head down to avoid the spotlight--or rather, eyes. Now, you've gotten sucked into the world of the Avengers. At first, you thought it was pretty fun. And then, you turned your head and saw the damage trailing after you. Within that damage are people who are after you. The governments of the world want you to be controlled. To leave a group like you loose is asking for collateral. And so far, the damage is irreparable.
Throughout the switching back and forth between people and opinions, you, much like Tony, stayed to yourself. To the side. You listened to them, of course, but you didn't chime in. When Tony eventually did talk at the prodding of Natasha and Steve, you paid more attention to what he was saying than anyone else. When he turns you to and asks for "the kid's opinion", you gave it candidly.
"Boundaries need to be set. What's the difference between you guys crossing international borders and fucking things up, and other militaries doing the same thing?"
"Militaries aren't equipped to handle the threats that we have. They'd be decimated," Sam says.
"And who were the ones who brought those threats here?" You raise your brows at him. "I don't like the idea of being controlled either, but I don't know if my powers know bounds. I don't think I want to know. A superficial collar is better than becoming an out-of-control maniac who kills more than they save. And right now, y'all are teetering on the edge of it, given your collateral kill count."
“We don’t even know if your powers can be controlled, Y/n,” Steve says gently. “That ‘superficial collar’ won’t apply to you.”
“Perhaps not, but I’m a person of my word. I also have morals and ethics.”
“See, I knew I liked you for a reason, Kid,” Tony said, pointing at you briefly. “She’s right. The kid’s right. Why is this something we’re even debating? We’re boundaryless, we’re limitless: we are no better than the guys we swore to eliminate.”
“So, what? We’re just going to roll over and submit to the government that doesn’t really care about us to begin with? Powers or no powers?” Sam shrugs.
“While I agree we are a danger in their eyes, they’re not wrong with their intentions.” You look at him. “Like Vision said before, there is a causality. I’m not saying everyone in the government, or in government branches, are these benevolent, innocent humans. Ross doesn’t have that a great track record to begin with, but we have to think about the big picture here. Our freedom, or the entire worlds’.”
“So, you’re going the utilitarianism route,” Sam replies. “Sacrifice us for the greater good.”
“Isn’t that what being a ‘hero’ is about? Isn’t that what you all are? ‘Heroes’? Aren’t y’all the by-the-book definition? Well, maybe except Wanda.”
Said woman glances at you but doesn’t say anything.
You shrug. “Either way, no one’s going to be happy. It won’t end well, or prettily. Someone’s getting hurt.”
“And how exactly do you want us to settle this since you’re apparently all-knowing?” Sam asks.
“I don’t know,” you shrug. “I wasn’t the one who terrorized an entire country and wiped it off the map essentially.”
“And we take full responsibility for it,” Steve says.
“If that was what you’re truly doing, you’d sign the Accords,” you reply. “At least, to save public image. Because what’s it matter then if everyone distrusts you? If everyone’s worried that they’re going to get crushed by a building or have a car smashed into them, then getting painlessly killed by an alien invasion doesn’t seem so bad.”
“Okay, and regardless of what we do--whether we sign the Accords or not, what’re you going to do?” Sam asks. “What’s your plan? ‘Cause it seems you’re interested in inputting your opinion into a matter that has no effect on you.”
You smirk. “Touche.” You stand from the chair and straighten your shirt out. “If we’re speaking fundamentally, I’m not bound by human laws or borders or orders and issues. Quite frankly, I could kill all of you and not suffer any consequences.”
All of them peer at you, a newfound tension growing between you.
“But like I said before: I have morals and ethics. I was invited here for a reason. I may not be an ‘Avenger’, but I’m not going to allow my opinion to be dismissed.” You smile softly. “My opinion is to sign the Accords, and act in accordance with whatever comes next. Resisting may prove to be more dangerous than submitting.”
James claps. “Boom! There you go.”
The others just sigh.

I mean I think haylor was that deep at the time lol. If you listen to anything they wrote about each other it was as deep as a late teens/early 20s situationship can be. The feelings were clearly intense - it’s not like they didn’t gaf about each other. Obviously they have since grown up and had much more intense relationships (and taylor had already had a past relationship that was more dramatic and passionate) but it was formative to a degree. jumping off of very tall somethings etc etc
“it was as deep as a late teens/early 20s situationship can be” - exactly lol my sister, when I was 20ish I wrote a poem about how men never leave their wives that was published and won some extremely obscure award lol. I don’t know where it is now but it was all about how no matter what u do, no matter how kind he is to u, he won’t leave his wife. Do you know who I was inspired by? You’ll never guess. Fucking choking guy. Now, mind you, I wrote the poem after I’d had sex with him and sorta declared myself a lesbian there (on/off lol because there were a couple more guys after before y’all helped me kinda come into bisexuality so side note thanks everyone for that). But the fact that HE wouldn’t like leave his girlfriend for ME was terribly upsetting to me. I didn’t WANT his weird ass freaky ass anymore after the sex was weird like genuinely I didn’t but I still wanted him to want me??!
I can’t imagine writing a poem that unhinged today and I also can’t imagine fucking someone with a partner because ehhh red flags - not even ethically just like!!!!! mess mess mess!! I’d get into something fuck messy then and I don’t have the bandwidth lol to deal with such nonsense now and tbf it’d be likely messier now because there’d be kids and shit and like wives or they’d be like children themselves (not literally but like me when I wrote the poem or like Taylor when she wrote Speak Now) and just ew idk that I want that sort of energy in my life lol I’d rather have thought I knew what it was like when I fucked the weird lay guy who technically had a gf but fucked like all of us slutty bi debater girls lol. I don’t want a real adult person to leave their wife for me lol.
like new storytime: a friend of mine (who I actually stopped being friends with over this because I can’t deal with people being moronic; I can deal with the friend and her drug dealers because like it’s dumb but she’s not aiming to waltz down the aisle and they’re all semi cute and they provide free edibles and I do believe they provide dope sex and yes I’m less close to her while I have partners and we never do couple hangouts because her bfs are embarrassing anyway let me focus). So this other friend of mine got involved with someone at her firm. Who’s married. Who has a kid. Who promised to leave her. Who says he’s unhappy. Who says she’d be a better mum than the wife. And like I listened to this for a few months and then I was like “dude wtf” and we had a big fight and I said she must call me when she gets out of this situation because she will because he will never leave the wife and she even sorta agreed but genuinely in a less dramatic way than 20 year old me felt about choking guy.
My point is like yes at 20 you’re ready to jump off buildings but also not really lol. That’s the other thing I love about Taylor right is she - despite saying she’s stuck at 16 and being there in some ways but I think many millennials are because we’re all still chronically online and trying to learn new slang ijbol - has grown up.
so like Haylor was certainly deep for the moment (stupid of her because he was 18/19 but that’s a separate story for a separate post and their age difference absolutely should’ve made her raise an eyebrow about how it’s all gonna go) but isn’t like… real lol. As a thing that mattered for each of them I don’t think it really did lol I think they were just being fuck dramatic.

So I usually don't respond to posts off the posts themselves but my resonse was getting pretty long and I just generally didn't want to get into all of this on OPs post, so on this post:
(and those that express similar sentiments)
On one hand, yeah, a lot of this is just that thing people do when they see someone else abstaining from something and take that as personal judgement on their own behavior and have to point out how abstaining is wrong actually.
But on the other hand: it’s pretty undeniable that there are a contingent of vegans who are very self-righteous and act like their lifestyle is above any sort of reproach and if everyone was just vegan all these problems wouldn’t exist and so if you aren’t vegan you are bad person who is selfish and unwilling to make sacrifices. It’s actually perfectly reasonable, if you have encountered this attitude, to point out that the mechanisms that sustain plant-based diets also result in damage to the environment and exploitation. That vegans are also selfish and and unwilling to sacrifice certain aspects of their own lifestyles that make their lives easier or more enjoyable. I can hardly fault people for not liking being lectured by hypocrites. Veganism isn’t “guilt free”-- it just isn’t; I don’t think any kind of lifestyle is.
I have zero problems with people abstaining from eating certain foods on moral grounds. And again, I won’t be intellectually dishonest and claim nobody does---plenty of people take veganism or vegetarianism as some sort of personal insult-- but I don’t have a problem with it, and even abstain from certain animal products myself. I’m also under no delusion that my personal choices for the past fifteen years or so have saved any animals, or that I’m morally better than anyone who still eats those things, any more than I think I’m morally better than a vegans who goes to Starbucks every morning to get their coffee. Coffee drinkers are contributing to the extremely exploitative coffee industry way more than I, a non-coffee drinker am, regardless of whether they use cow milk, almond milk, or no milk. But you know what? I don’t like coffee so it’s easy for me not to drink it: they can’t live without coffee and I can’t live without dairy. Pretty much everyone has some part of their lifestyle that couldn’t give up even if they know/found out that it's supporting bad things; that includes vegans.
The truth is civilization is built on animal exploitation (and human exploitation) and that maintains your lifestyle regardless of your personal dietary choices. Even if you were the strictest possible vegan cradle to grave, the debt you would owe to past and current medical research performed on animals alone would be massive. So we’re all essentially in the same boat. We all have shit to feel bad about and our ability to personally cut specific thing out our lives to mitigate that personal feeling of guilt varies by individual. Everyone, vegans and meat-eaters alike, just need to stop bullshitting that the One True Morally Unimpeachable Way To Consume Products just so happens to align with their own personal preferences and abilities (and whenever morals don’t align with your preferences “No ethical consumption under capitalism” but only for things you really like, not for anything someone else really likes; those people are selfish assholes) and just admit that this is what is going on. Vegans too, can stop tying themselves into knots, with claims that their motivations for pet ownership are different from everyone else’s or that animal testing is morally reprehensible but their use of animal-derived insulin is an exception because they are using their life to fight for animals or whatever other dumb shit they feel the need to say to maintain a moral high ground they desperately want to have. So whenever you are about to say obnoxious things like "I'm bippity bopity-boo what are you doing for XYZ?", think of all the things you are inevitably not doing for ABC (or even for XYZ) and then refrain from saying it. You 100% deserve any whataboutism you get hit with for saying shit like that' It is, in fact, entirely possible to present accurate information about inhumane or environmentally harmful factory farming practices and tell people about available substitutes for animal products without the seven layers of judgmentalness that someone added to stroke their own ego. It's actually very easy to do!
tl;dr: I see a lot of bad-faith, emotionally motivated, and outright ill-informed criticisms of veganism and I don't like them, but let's not erase all the bad-faith, emotionally motivated, and outright ill-informed arguments that vegans make. I don't like those either.
#its one of those things where regardless of how you feel about the actual issue#both side says such stupid fucking things with such regularity that you cannot pick a side#I don't really have a solution to all these world problems or anything I just know that everyone becoming vegan isn't it#It's just not going to happen I'm sorry#Like we can't stop enslaving each other for personal gain#but we're all going to stop doing something we find enjoyable en masse out of compassion for honeybees and clams? Let's get real.

The bigger you are the more eyes are on you.
The same thing applies in the celestial world.
Some people would be intimidated.
But I feel at peace knowing I have powerful beings who love me unconditionally and have the the upmost faith in me watching over me.
I be out the way.
I just tryna have fun in the most ethical ways possible.
And understand ethics has more to do with the way your community operates not the way everyone operates.
Everyone is different.
Live in a way that keeps this world in balanced and that makes the people around you comfortable and that doesn’t negatively impact others.
Everyone’s ethics aren’t the same that’s why boundaries is key in order to coexist.
Trust me I analyze everything I’m exposed to you can’t expect everyone to want to live the same way you desire to.
But as long as we respect another at the end of the day we can compromise to make it where everyone can be happy and sometimes you have to be around less people because of the way you desire to live your life.
Live your life everyone doesn’t need to know everything and this is coming from someone who always speaks his truth.
Have boundaries, no one is perfect.
Life needs balance, enjoy your life take risks sometimes but always try to consider the lives of others and how your actions can affect others.
Practice moderation and discipline.
Know when an action is appropriate and when it’s not.
If I can learn that young then why can’t you learn it with my example?
I’m not perfect but I know how to behave and adapt to different worlds.
If you want your world to be respected then respect others.
That’s how you’ll achieve your peaceful haven.
Never cross boundaries unless les you desire war and it always goes again the corrupted one.
Don’t make the same mistakes as our ancestors that’s why they came here directly to re correct the negative examples that they set.
If they have to come back again it won’t be fun for most.
Just respect another that’s all you have to do.
Some people will be into your unusual concepts and some won’t.
Understand that.
Everyone is unconventional.
But learn to know when that behavior is or isn’t appropriate is all I’m saying.
I’m not trying to control you I’m just trying to warn you because taking the peace of others who didn’t deserve that is a spiritual and universal crime that will be punished.
As a star lord it’s important for me to set boundaries amongst stars so they don’t destroy another.
I don’t fight stars I just destroy them if they no longer should shine.
I have that authority.
Just like someone higher than me can destroy me if I fall into corruption I just know better to not do that.
Remember I’m neutral and I don’t look up to saints myself but they still respect life and others.
If you coexist with people who are similar to you then you don’t have to worry about consequences unless again you’re destroying what shouldn’t be destroyed.
I’m not the same as the Greek gods I’m wiser.
I don’t want to see this world end up like my parents past and they don’t either.
And it’s sad because I can’t be destroyed by anything because I’m too pure so I don’t want to see the destruction of people I admire cus that would be depressing.
I’m saying this cus I see things from a higher perspective I’m not saying this to control you I’m trying to protect you.
Because if I’m authorized to destroy you I won’t hesitate.
I am whis, beerus and supreme Kai.
I study everything.
Understand I’m not always going to be on this planet I’m just visiting and helping.
This is your planet not mine.
If you want it to thrive then realize that you need all life in order for that to happen.
If I can take the time to understand so many of y’all.
You can take the time to understand yourself and each other.
It shouldn’t only be my responsibility to understand others.
Does Hades, Zeus and Poseidon all reside in the same territory or do they have their own?
As long as their territories aren’t oppressing people it’s ethical, they’re gods they’re trusted to make their own rules for the greater good of their own world.
But if oppression is their a higher authority will eventually come and investigate because no one should be oppressed.
That’s why Tee is free and understand you can’t hide under Drake i might be a child but don’t underestimate my authority.
I already see what can happen to you if you defy me.
Don’t steal again.
Instead use your words and ask people.
You never know what someone might say stop trying to manipulate everything.
Because people might be open to what you’re interested in but if they aren’t also respect that as well.
Communicate for a peaceful life.
Btw I’m not into men and I only am interested in my 3 wives no one else.
I’m doing that for your sake to validate your sexuality because I care.
Understand just because I’m merciful doesn’t mean I’m a pushover I’m nothing like Jesus if you push me you’ll be destroyed.
I and my wives should be deemed as untouchable if you value your life.
We’re not lord of humans we’re lord of stars and there’s stars spread all across the universe.
I hope that doesn’t happen cus I actually like hero’s even though I’d never be one.
Star lords aren’t allowed to be hero’s nor villains.
We must embody everything that we’re drawn to so that means our potential to be heroic or villainous is more potent.
We’re neutral beings that mirror the energy that is exposed to us.
The karma of stars.

Anyone else notice that it’s standard practice for employers to Irish exit on potential employee candidates when the candidates don’t get the job??
Like yeah. I got forced against my will to apply for MULTIPLE front-facing customer service positions recently by my grandmother who does not comprehend agoraphobia or that I’m disabled or anything. Multiple customer service jobs, which I do to some extent have a semi-okayish mask for (I can usually do the basic “Hi! How can I help you?” or “Hey, welcome to Starbucks! What can I get started for you?” stuff and handle questions about product because that’s a basic script and while that is in fact INCREDIBLY draining it’s more possible than a lot of other jobs socially).
And all companies except one had the nerve to never call or email me back after saying they would get back to me in three or four business days. All of my applications but one got the old duck and run treatment. Ignorance is corporate bliss or whatever.
The only company I heard back from was Starbucks, whose hiring team sent back a very polite rejection letter (I very likely have EDS and use a cane a lot of the time which means I wasn’t a good fit for the job anyway; my hand was literally forced for that one). Starbucks. The notoriously bad Starbucks that has had debates and controversies about unions and using the prison industrial complex to its advantage. They were the only ones polite enough to actually say no.
I say this because I know a lot of people are asking why places are so short-staffed all of the time and why nobody wants to work.
We do want to work. I may be a cane (soon to be forearm crutch) user, but I am capable of working still and I want to work.
The only glitch in the plan really is that employers won’t get back to us. No call back, no email, no acceptance or rejection, nothing.
I get it, you want good quick service in a clean environment with relatively friendly people wherever you go. But that isn’t gonna happen if employers work their current employees half to death and intentionally ignore and Irish exit on potential candidates. All that does is perpetuate cycles that ultimately hurts the employees and customers alike (and eventually that catches up to the business and the business goes under). But the business (whether big or small) could start by actually taking on some of the applicants and not Irish exiting on everyone else.
Like nobody owes anyone a “why you got rejected” letter or anything; just a polite email saying “We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for the position. Please feel free to send in other applications to other locations or to seek other options. Thank you for your time.” THAT IS LITERALLY ALL THAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.
I do believe that employment in the modern sense and the global economies in the modern sense are all major scams and have MASSIVE flaws (I view myself as completely anti-money and pro-equitable distribution but being stuck and forced to survive in a late-stage capitalist/neofeudalist hellscape) but god damn all the ethics issues aside for one minute I think the big thing employers could do better is actually just be polite and responsive.
Tldr: your employee candidates aren’t bad tinder dates; don’t fucking ghost them.

“i really do try my best not to therapize you, but you’re not wrong. i won’t go as far as to say i can read your mind or anything, but honestly, i think i’m getting pretty damn close. it’s not difficult for me to tell when you’re upset, excited, angry… and i definitely know when you’re pushing yourself to carry on despite how tired you really are.” as much as ella admires his work ethic (one that’s not entirely dissimilar to her own), she’s well aware of how utterly exhausting it can become after a while. no matter how much someone loves their job, there’s only so long they can endure the responsibility and stress before needing a break, even if it’s just for a day or two. “but i also know that you’ll come to me when you’re ready and that instead of prodding you for answers, i can just make sure i’m there for you; help remind you that i’m not going anywhere.” there’s nothing he could tell them that wouldn’t be okay in the end or that would ever risk driving them away. there’s not a chance in hell of them not offering whatever support they can, be it professional or otherwise. whatever he’s dealing with at any given time is something they’d consider to be their problem too. “the worrying isn’t something either of us can stop, i’m afraid. believe me, i’ve tried. i learned pretty quickly that it’s always going to be there and the only thing i can really do is try to control it as best i can. if i wasn’t at least a little concerned about my boyfriend constantly risking his life, i’d be delusional.” some days are easier than others and she’s able to keep herself distracted enough that she isn’t checking her phone every five minutes for any potential missed messages, but even someone in her field is prone to the occasional moment of weakness — not that she would ever tell him exactly how many times she’s been close to tears over the thought of losing him. it wouldn’t do either of them any good and she’d never want to force unnecessary guilt onto his shoulders. she’s a big girl, she can handle it. “i don’t blame you for getting so caught up in everything else we have going on, you know that. but now that you’ve mentioned it… i will admit that i’ve missed you lately. we’re both cursed with demanding jobs, aren’t we?” of course they’ll take whatever time with carter they can get, but it would be a pretty nice change if they weren’t both exhausted and in desperate need of crawling into bed each night right after he comes home. “still, that doesn’t mean i wouldn’t keep waiting for you. i love you and i’d wait as long as i had to. another week, another month, another year. either way, it’s okay… or hell, if you wanted to get married right this second, i’d do that too. as long as you’re by my side in the end, i’ll be happy. there’s nobody else in the world i’d rather be with.” voice soft and filled with adoration, ella allows herself to be pulled into his embrace and clings onto him like a child with a blanket. though their throat feels tight with emotion, a quiet breath of laughter manages to force its way out. “don't be ridiculous, of course you could do it. you’re the best firefighter around, my love. you don’t need to have pulled me from a burning building for me to know that.” there’s nobody more dedicated or more humble. she’d consider it a privilege to even know him at all, let alone be loved by him. who knew her stubbornness would get her this far? “you’re a hero to a lot of people, carter. that includes me.”
"Well, then it's a good thing that I like having you all to myself for an entire night, isn't it?" Carter murmured, a soft chuckle bubbling out of him as he leaned over to press a soft kiss on the top of their head. After the night that he'd had, he wanted nothing more than to spend an entire night, or even a lifetime, with Ella by his side. "Of course... you saw this coming from a mile away, didn't you?" It had not come off as all that much of a surprise to him that she had managed to psychoanalyze him to the point in which she knew what was going on in his head even before he did. But it was safe to say that the fact that she had not pushed him into anything was quite endearing. Truth be told, if he had been with anyone else, they probably would have been much more demanding when it came to how much time he was spending with them. With Ella, however, it had been different. She always seemed to notice whenever he got tired of working so much, but she had respected him enough to let him keep working until he knew that he needed to stop. It was one of the many reasons why Carter had fallen in love with them. They never made him choose between their relationship, and his work. "I wish you would have told me that sooner, baby." He remarked, even though he knew that Ella would never do such a thing. But her question brings a smile to his lips, which he does not try to hide from her. "A promise for a lifetime." He nodded, his teeth sinking into his bottom lip as his smile began to fade. He breathed out a sigh as he continued to hold her close, not wanting to let go. "As much as I hate the thought of you being so worried for my life, I always told myself that I would come home to you... no matter what. But I don't want you to keep waiting for me... to keep waiting for the life that we would someday get to live because I'm too busy running into burning buildings, and putting myself in mortal danger every single day. I want to live this life with you... right now. I want it all." He admitted, knowing that there was no point in holding himself back for much longer. "Ella, I love you... and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. But I was too stupid to realize that this life was too short until now. I don't think it's fair for us to wait any longer. I want to start living this life with you." Carter watched as Ella set aside the eggs, and turned their attention towards him. Meeting her gaze, he reached over to cup her cheeks. "I know that I've been too busy, but I think it's time for me to put my focus on the things that do matter. Marriage, family... all of it. I'm not going to wait any longer to take that step with you. This is it for me." A small smile crept up on his lips when they tell him that they do want a family with him, and he leaned in to kiss their forehead. "We'll do one thing at a time, okay? But I had to tell you this. I want to do all of it... with you, as soon as I possibly can. I'm not going to keep you waiting much longer." Taking her hand in his, he laced their fingers together as his eyes welled up with tears. "You didn't have to do anything to deserve me, sweetheart. You were yourself... you very stubborn self, and that was more than enough." He chuckled, pulling her into a rather tight embrace. "No... you are, and don't even try to argue with me on that. You know, I wouldn't have been able to do what I do for a living... if you hadn't been by my side through it all. Every fire I put out, every life I saved... it was all because you didn't make me choose. But you don't have to make me choose. I'm doing it anyways. I'm choosing us."
