In general, he is very supportive of you studying and trying your best but don’t think for a second that he lets you pull all nighters or study without breaks. 

If you decide to try to study as long as possible, he will get one of those very loud egg timers just to make sure that you don’t forget to take breaks.  

Also, when you are studying, he might be a bit nicer to you. He gets that you are probably really stressed and don’t need any of his bullshit.  

After your exam (even before getting your results back) Dabi will get (most likely steal) something nice for you as a “good job” gift.

Hawks is avoiding him.

Dabi is furious about it, and even more so, he’s furious because of how much he suddenly cares.

It’s not like the two of them were super close, but quite frankly Dabi had found himself enjoying the banter with the little bird, and even found himself not minding his company when they were just doing their own things around each other.

So yeah, it’s quite fucking annoying that the stupid chicken is now avoiding him at every cost.

Dabi hasn’t even been any worse than usual, so whatever it was, the stupid hero was the problem.

Since Dabi knows Hawks is currently having some sort of «meeting» with Shigaraki somewhere in the PLF mansion, he decides to be prepared this time.

So, poor Hawks is entirely unaware as he leaves the meeting with the boss, which had really turned out to be Shigaraki venting about all the new people he had to deal with.

Normally he’d go look for someone to hang out with under the guise of spying, but in reality it was just to get to hang out with people he actually liked.

Not today tho.

Today he needs to get out of there as soon as possible, to make sure he doesn’t run into-

«Hey there, Little Bird.»

…fuck.

Hawks tries to plaster on a smile before he turns around, but he knows it’s strained.

«Hot Stuff!» he says trough his teeth, and he already feels the effects the arsonist have on him rip trough his body.

His wings trembled, his eyes lost focus on everything but Dabi, his body temperature shot in the air, he swore he could hear the other mans pulse thrum trough his body, and he wants, he needs-

«Birdie? Pidgeon? Hellooo?»

Hawks snaps himself out of it, and smacks Dabi’s hand away as he backs away.

«Don’t- I mean just, I’m fine, good, alright, heh!»

The words stumble out of his mouth like he just learned how to talk.

Dabi’s eyes suddenly get a little more serious, and he reaches out to touch Hawks’ face out of pure instinct.

Hawks entire body fails him, and he leans his cheek into Dabi’s warm palm, and before he knows what he’s doing he’d chirping and nuzzling into the hand.

Fuuuuck.

Dabi’s eyes are wide as saucers, but his face is weirdly soft.

Hawks entire brain screams at him to back away, but his instincts simply won’t let him.

Feels to good. To be touched. Even like this. By his Mate.

Mate. Mate. Mate.

He looks up at him, meets his beautiful blue eyes, blinks, try to find he words, but…

«Okay little bird, you’re starting to freak me out here.»

Hawks shudders, and croons apologetically.

Dabi sighs.

«First you ignore me for a week,» he starts, voice going a little deeper, his hand holding into Hawks’ face a little tighter.

«Then…»

He gently but sternly moves Hawks’ face to the opposite side so he gets to inspect his entire beautiful face.

«You come here acting like a bird in hea…»

Hawks feels his face go hot as he watches Dabi’s face light up with realization.

«Fuck me birdie, are you in heat?»

Hawks squaks and jumps back in embarrasment, and suddenly his voice finds him again.

«No!» he protests, but can’t seem to get himself to move further away from Dabi.

«Then… what?» Dabi asked, moving slowly torwards him again, caging him towards the wall with his body.

«It’s not… like, it’s not because of the season or anything, it’s because, well, I haven’t really even had it happen before, so…»

Dabi raises his eyebrows and gently grabs Hawks’ chin again to tilt his head up and their eyes meet.

Hawks’ face is entirely pink, and his pupils are huge.

Dabi shivers, and feels the heat in his gut flare up.

«So…?» he drawls.

Hawks chrips helplessly, eyes flicking back and fourth before he suddenly sets his eyes into Dabi’s.

«It’s YOU!» he squawks out.

Dabi blinks a few times, slowly, and his confidence seems to falter a little.

«Me..?»

Hawks nods and ruffles his feathers a little.

«My instincts they… think you’re my mate or whatever.»

Dabi shivers so hard he feels it in his toes.

«Mate, huh?»

Hawks nods again, finally letting his instincts win out.

«You make me feel… you’re supposed to be with me, mine, and I couldn’t stop it, it kept happening, I had to make sure you didn’t..»

Dabi smirks softly.

«Know? A little late for that, yeah?» he croons, and leans his face in even closer to Hawks’.

Hawks chitters softly, and rubs his nose against Dabi’s, letting all the noises he’s been trying to hide out.

Dabi practically purrs back at him.

«Such a good little bird,» he purrs, and Hawks thrills eagerly, pressing his face into Dabi’s neck, nibbling desperatly.

«Mmm, my mate, mine,» he mumbles between chitters and coo’s.

Dabi chuckles darkly.

«Sure, little bird,» he says roughly, running his hand along his little birdie’s wings.

«Damn sure.»

Also, I decided to make this a college AU, cuz I couldn't find a proper way to make it in the normal universe and have Hawks be struggling with something that has a deadline that he could fail on. Yet another sleepless night of never ending studying put Keigo into quite the irritated mood. He sat at his desk in front of his laptop, head in his hands, the screen displaying a document that currently only had three paragraphs written. Birds started chirping outside his window as light from the sunrise began streaming into his dorm. With a frustrated sigh, he looked up at his computer screen and glared at the document. He had never been this stressed in his life.

Keigo’s overthinking was abruptly interrupted by a low groan and the shuffling of bed sheets from behind him. Touya slipped out from under the covers and stretched, then he looked over at his roommate, who had his back turned to him and was still staring at the laptop.

“You’re up early,” Touya commented, shivering as his bare feet hit the floor.

“Haven’t slept,” Keigo replied curtly.

Touya frowned and stood, walking over to his roommate. Empty energy drink cans littered his desk, and a small pile of dirty plates sat beside his laptop. When was the last time he even moved from his chair?

“You gotta get some sleep, Keigo,” 

Touya said as he reached for the laptop. He huffed when Keigo swatted his hand away,

“When’s the last time you showered?”

“Like, last night or something?”

“Bullshit,”

Touya hissed, glaring at Keigo, who refused to look at him,

“I had a hard time getting to sleep cuz your sleep deprived ass wouldn’t go to bed, and that damn laptop is brighter than my fire.”

“Tsk. Whatever, I just need to get this done.”

“You need to look after yourself.”

“I’m fine, Touya.”

“You’re not fine,”

the hot head crossed his arms,

“Your wings are drooping.”

“Dude, I’m gonna fail if I don’t finish before the deadline,”

Keigo finally turned to his friend, 

“You know how important this essay is! It’s due tomorrow, and I barely have anything written down. I know how my quirk works and how I can use it in battle, but I can’t explain it!”

he growled and slammed his fist on the desk,

“Why is an essay gonna be the deciding factor of if I graduate or not?!”

Touya sighed and rubbed his roommate’s head soothingly, 

“Relax, birdbrain. It isn’t the end of the world. You still have a whole day to get it done,”

he then took Keigo’s hand and tugged gently,

“But you need sleep first. You won’t be able to think properly if you’re running on fumes.”

“I can’t sleep right now,” Keigo groaned,

“Please leave me alone.”

Touya glared at his friend, getting more frustrated as time passed. Suddenly, an idea popped into his head, and his annoyed expression quickly transformed into a mischievous one.

“Fine,”

he huffed as he walked behind Keigo and positioned himself at his wings that hung over the back of the chair,

“I guess I’ll have to make you.”

“What does that even me-HEEEHEHEAN! NONONO TOUYA STOHOHOHOP!”

Keigo shrieked with sudden, uncontrollable laughter. Touya smirked as he dug into his friend’s fluffy wings, then yelped when one of them flapped a little too hard and smacked him right in the face.

“You little shit,” the hot head grumbled.

“I-I’m sohohorry,”

Keigo whined, standing up and holding his hands up in surrender while his roommate approached him,

“Touya, please, I’ll go to sleep, just anything but this– TOUYA!!”

Touya wasted no time, pouncing on his winged friend and pinning him to the bed, then scribbling all ten of his fingers over his sensitive feathers. Ever since they were children, Touya knew Keigo’s worst spot was his wings. He loved tormenting him whenever he got on his nerves, or even if he was just bored. His friend never failed to provide an entertaining experience.

“Too little too late, Keigo,”

the hot head smirked evilly, savoring his trapped roommate’s screams of ticklish agony,

“You should’ve decided before I had to resort to this. ‘sides, you hit me with your wings. I deserve some payback for that.”

“IHIHIHIT WAS AN AHAHAHACCIDENT, YOU PRIHIHIHICK!” Keigo cackled, thrashing helplessly,

“YOU WERE TIHIHIHICKLING MEHEHEHE! I COULDN’T HEHEHELP IHIHIT!”

“Not my problem,”

Touya shrugged, moving his fingers toward where Keigo’s wings connected to his back, and he chuckled as his friend’s laughter became more high pitched and desperate,

“Poor little Keigo. Can’t handle it, huh? Is it too much? You poor thing~.”

“SHUHUHUT UHUHUHUHUP!!”

“Awww, does teasing get to you? Hmm? Does it make it worse?”

he leaned in closer to Keigo’s flushed face, still talking in that sickeningly effective baby voice,

“Do you like it when I tease you? Huh, little birdie~?”

“TOHOHOHOUYA, PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!” 

Keigo felt extremely hot, and he pushed at Touya’s face with one hand while covering his own with his other hand.

“Ohh~? Do you like that nickname, little birdie? Does it make you flustered? Ah ah ah, don’t cover your face,”

Touya huffed and quickly grabbed Keigo’s wrists, pinning them above his head and giving him a little breather,

“Or I’ll make you regret it~.”

The winged student swallowed nervously and stared deeply into his friend’s eyes while catching his breath. He’d be lying if he said this wasn’t exciting and fun, but he still had his paper to write. He frowned and averted his gaze.

“Can I go back to working on my paper, please?”

“Your paper will be there.”

“Touya, let me up.”

“Nope.”

“Touya–”

“That’s it.”

Laughter once again rang throughout the dorm room, only stopping when Keigo’s boisterous cackling turned into silent hysteria. Touya knew he wasn’t going to listen, so he had no choice but to tire him out enough so that he wouldn’t even think of anything but sleep. 

About an hour had passed when the hot head finally decided to let up, and his plan had worked. Keigo fell asleep almost instantly after the tickle attack, and Touya tucked him in gently. He smiled as his roommate snored peacefully. It was an adorable sight - his flushed face stained with mirth and a small smile resting on his lips. He looked so comfortable. Touya sighed fondly and ran his fingers through Keigo’s soft hair, his eyes lingering on his lips for longer than he would admit. Finally, he walked over to the desk and made sure to save his friend’s work before closing the laptop, and began cleaning up the mess. He was positive Keigo would do better once he got some rest.

What makes you think Toga will live? I want to agree but the more I see these sick and demented people cheering for her suicide, the more I start to think maybe I’m the one who has it wrong, and I’m so depressed over the reactions it’s distracting me from other things…

Coherent writing, character arcs and how they generally work in fiction, themes being consistently delivered in a consistently written story with a consistent writer, the author’s own commentary on the story and the character arcs in question (even tho author commentary should always be taken with a grain of salt, his much later comments have adhered to his story very clearly)

Also like I’m sorry but other peoples’ reactions don’t determine my own, nor should they determine yours.

If it makes you feel better feel free to go check out the general take on Reddit from during the PLF war about Deku and Tomura or Touya. Go ahead, because you’ll be seeing what the general consensus was back then and you will wonder how the fuck these people understood a single thing in this story.

So many people swore up and down that the last 3 tgck chapters would never even happen. At all. “Everyone else’s” opinions mean dick to me.

I am unsure how long you’ve been in the fandom but people like myself, @redphlox, @transhawks, @hamliet, @helga-grinduil, and several more I just can’t think off the top of my head been having this debate/argument/back and forth about the villains being just SAVED or seen as victims by the heroes since 2020. And here we are, 3 years later with Touya, Tomura, and Toga all with people in the narrative hellbent on saving them. That argument alone has already been won, that the concept is even present in the story.

People who pay attention to the details and the character arcs and the story’s themes at play have all more or less hit the nail on everything to expect in the big picture.

Everyone you’re mentioning and referring to are the people who call it a Mickey Mouse Manga or call the author a fraud or scream retcon at everything because everything they predict is wrong. Every. Single. Time.

There is only one party here that is angry at the manga, and it isn’t any of the people who have been screaming about a happy ending for the villains for the last 3+ years (much more for some of the people I listed above).

So yeah “everyone is cheering for Toga’s suicide” is not a convincing argument for why she will die. Everyone was cheering for Dabi to die and for Deku to see Tomura as a unsaveable monster and now all those people are throwing online tantrums.

Funny enough, none of the rest of us are.

i’m thinking about like, a lot of mischaracterizations of toya lately and it’s agitating. he’s definitely blowing things WAY out of proportion by becoming a villain and like literally blowing himself up but i don’t think he has anger issues. like, he for sure expresses his emotions intensely and in a brash manner but you have to remember three factors—mental illness is inherited, he was born prematurely, and he was abused as a child. it’s very likely he has issues with processing emotions, even if he can put up a calm front before he “lets out the crazy” or whatever you wanna say.

toya is literally one of my biggest comforts next to tenko and i am so ready to fight to the death for him. i also don’t think dabi is an angry crier. correct me if im wrong but ive only seen him “cry” out of joy, an intense sadness, or an overwhelming neutral for him. he’s good at keeping a facade and has a grip on his emotions to a pretty moderate extent, so i dont see why he’d just go whining/crying while angry because when he’s angry he’s just angry and he’s not afraid to express that even when appearing facetious.

edit: speaking of the mental illness inheritance, this is from the speculation that endeavor had issues prior to everything but mostly rei since her genes are so strong. combined with that n’ his environment plus him being premature gives a lot to why he acts the way he does. though that isn’t to say premature babies are an issue, it’s just an addition to his list of contributors to his thoughts n actions

honestly after finding out i’m going to see mcr & going to the wwwy fest nothing seems to bother me anymore lmao. i feel like im just waiting for the fall of 2025.

on the brightside i passed all my exams so i graduate next month and i start EMT training in february , im actually fucking proud of myself because honestly i didn’t think id ever make it to see 17 let alone to graduate fucking highschool so i’m stoked about that.

literally don’t know wtf to get my bf for christmas . (he has me so he doesn’t need shit) lmao kidding. but i really don’t know what to get him? he’s hella excited about us going to mcr & wwyf25 so like there’s really nothing else he wants??? so i think ill just get on etsy and his favorite bands websites and see what all they have and maybe just order him some merch and custom hoodies, shirts, jackets . that kinda thing.

me and my twin sister have gotten way closer , (i’ll save the details on that for a vent post with tw bc god does it need them) and even tho a tragedy brought us together im still glad we’re back to how things used to be.

✧𝑭𝑳𝑼𝑭𝑭: I love writing anything cute and heartwarming! There aren’t many limitations, but I am not comfortable with ddlg fluff, pet names like baby or little girl are fine, but I won’t write about sub space, or speaking like a baby. It might contradict any daddy kinks I add, but the reader will not be acting like a baby, speaking like a baby, or thinking like a baby.

I don’t like writing about gangs, or mafias, but if in any case I write about Toji or anyone like him, I might, but rarely will add violence, I promise it shouldn’t be anything crazy, I don’t like writing graphic content, but if a character punches another character, that is considered violence and probably will be to the extent of it!
