I know I'm kind of a bit late, I just found out anti tags are actually a thing. I just wanted to say that I love Fitz but at the same time I don't (for obvious reasons) and I wish his stans would actually stop using him being sick as an excuse. Like sure that was bad and he really needs professional help but given their situation at that moment they couldn't, and I'm pretty sure his stans are forgetting that he said he doesn't regret doing it and to mention, he wasn't having a psychotic break when he said that.

And also I'm sick and tired of people siding with Fitz when he said "do you want me to recall all the times that you did?" Like, the times where Daisy "turned her back against them" was because she was manipulated and swayed and she "left them" because maybe she thought that was safer for them. (Don't forget she was having suicidal thoughts and was having withdrawal from Hive)

Like sir??? Turn her back against them??? What about all the times when you ALMOST GOT DAISY KILLED??? (When Fitz jumped into the monolith for an example)

Also I'm kinda pissed that no one went on to comfort Daisy, hell not even Jemma. She only cares if Fitzsimmons are still together or not

I still love the Bus Kids but I deserve the fitzdaisy closure. They could make a whole episode about fitzsimmons in s6 but couldn't for fitzdaisy.

Hey nonnie! See I used to love Fitz too. But it was with the assumption that he isn't perfect and lately his behaviour with the team has been getting problematic and that most fans realise that.

Finding out they don't was an experience.

I actually came across a thread on reddit a while back where they were hailing the "do you want me to recall all the times that you did" as such a gotcha against Daisy. And then listing all the times that "she turned her back on them". Which consisted of her trying to help Miles in season 1 (the guy she obviously knew longer and she didn't owe them anything at that point, moreover she turned against him when she realised what he'd done), her siding with Jiaying (completely ignoring the fact that her mom who she had been looking for forever manipulated and lied to her and that SHIELD themselves blindsided her by sending Gonzalez when they were actually expecting Coulson, and still she saw through it all and chose to fight her mother), that time she was under Hive's sway (I don't think I need to elaborate on this), that time she went rogue in s04 (once again not caring that she was grieving Lincoln's death and was freshly free of mind control, lost and suicidal and needed help, not a yelling).

And not to mention that not once did she do anything remotely similar to ambushing a member of the team, strapping them to a table and cutting into them. False equivalencies much?

For a show that's all about empowered women, they not only let a white man get away with violating an Asian woman, but also let him flip the story, discredit her as a victim. These tactics are what domestic abusers use. They make their victim feel as if what happened to them was their own fault. So guess Fitz is a classic abuser now. Good luck with that Jemma.

But hey the fans have decided that Fitz can do no wrong, and the show creators have a huge part to play in that. So really at this point I am not even sure who pisses me off more, the fandom or Whedon and Maurissa.

But honestly I wish I had interacted with fans like you instead of the raging a-holes who were bitching about Daisy being a hardass to Fitz. So thank you for the ask, and for giving me your very nuanced take on the whole thing.

Demon Dress would still be at $199 million domestic after last weekend but $255 million international. Man of my Dreams would have stayed at 3 in heavy traffic until dropping to 4 last weekend. Canadian Wildfires would have started dropping after a high of 63 on the country charts. It would still be sinking in the pop charts.

Judge Maryanne Trump Bailey would have joined the top 100 in 2019 but dropped out in 2020. I would so far have avoided saying anything about her.

Scott would have dropped out but Pence would still be in the presidential race.

At 12:01 this morning The Best of the Ranting Old Man album would have come out. No one would be in much of a hurry to play anything on the radio. Some of the jokes would be exactly as posted here, mostly in 2015. The first person to play any new material on the radio or tv would be Jerome Crompton of WATV fm 94.9, an urban station in Alabama. He hosts a show called Keep Going with Homie Jay from 10 am to noon and would play the joke between commercials at about 11: 30 eastern time.

Ranting Old Man: We just finished a tour of the south. I was there in Alabama before, back when I 2was a migrant worker during the depression. I picked cotton for 2 years and Fitzsimmons the third year. Things are a whole lot different in Alabama now. They let black folks drive.

Jemma never thought she'd be that woman. The kind to be so easily turned on by something as simple as a man doing manual labor. She could fight it all she wanted, but she couldn't deny that there was definitely something to be said about a man doing dishes in a nice pair of jeans and a prone-to-get-transparent-when-wet, white t-shirt.

She'd always thought she liked watching him work because there was nothing sexier than science combined with a brilliant mind and dexterous fingers but she supposed it mostly had to do with the latter after all: the regularity of his gestures, almost like it was choreographed, the way he almost caressed the delicate porcelain plates or flexed his arms rather enticingly to scrub the dirtiest pans. Jemma uncrossed her legs and crossed them the other way as she looked back down towards her laptop and their tax returns. Before she knew it, her screen was displaying her screensaver instead, as her mind had strayed towards much nicer territory. She looked back up and bit her lip. Fitz was humming under his breath and swaying his hips slightly, probably without even realizing it. To think she had to insist for him to dance with her, and here he was, taunting her when she was busy doing the most boring thing in the world.

Domestic Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Headcanons (Sousy Edition)

i know sousa is a field agent, but i can totally see him becoming a house husband later in life

daisy is a nester, meaning she doesn't believe in making the bed

this drives sousa absolutely batty

if told to make dinner, daisy will make cereal. that's all.

sousa packs them both lunches

he always puts little notes in daisy's, with song lyrics, and quotes, and sometimes just "love you, quake ;)"

daisy can't cook, but she can make tea

she has a collection of vintage teacups and kettles

when daisy and sousa bought their first apartment, they had to enlist the help of jemma simmons for decorating

the only place daisy had lived was a van, not much room (or money) for decor

and sousa went into the military right after high school, then his work for the s.s.r. and s.h.i.e.l.d. moved him around a lot, so he didn't have a clue how to decorate a room

their first home is in the city, but when they get older, sousa wants to move to the country

they like to go berry picking in the summers

they tend to do that when fitzsimmons and alya are visiting from scotland

when daisy gets anxious, she rearranges rooms or frantically cleans

sousa doesn't get in her way when she gets in that sort of mood, he just picks up a bottle of windex and helps her quietly

there's a window above their sink that sousa grows herbs on. thyme, rosemary, chives, parsley, basil, the works

daisy wanted to have a succulent collection, and she bought almost a dozen at lowe's before sousa told her that she was a serial plant killer and that she had to stop

they love to take walks together, especially in spring when the city's flowers are in full bloom

sousa comes home from a grocery run one day to daisy and a puppy

both of them had killer puppy dog eyes and he couldn't say no

daisy isn't allowed to go to the grocery store unaccompanied

she will buy anything birthday cake flavored, regardless of price or quality

daisy likes to go antiqueing (where else would she find more vintage tea cups?), and sousa comes along, though seeing stuff from the fifties makes him smile a little wistfully and think about what he left behind

sousa is a back sleeper, so daisy curls into his side and he puts his arm around her

they both love star wars

and you just know that sousa was confused as hell when daisy explained the proper watching order to him

Baby girl arrived this morning at 7:59 am. She’s sleeping again, so I thought I’d get this posted :)

Thanks to @agentofship for always being the best! And a special shout-out to the agents of shield support group discord for offering all of their support and love these last many months (even before they knew they were doing it). <3

Summary: Fitz and Jemma experience the birth of their second daughter. Even if things don’t always go the way Jemma had imagined, she can’t imagine any better life than this one.

When Jemma decides it's time for their family to adopt a dog, it takes more than a little convincing to get Fitz on board. But, in the end, a new puppy could be just what their family needs.

They’re lying in bed one night when Jemma decides to bring it up. Fitz was scrolling through his tablet, reading over a report that Coulson had sent over, while Jemima was idly flipping through the latest edition of Nature.

“Fitz, I think we should get a dog.”

Fitz chuckled absentmindedly from beside her on the bed, his eyes still scanning his tablet. When she realized that he thought she was kidding, she turned her head to look over at him, a frown creasing her forehead.

Fitz noticed her staring at him and turned to look back at her.

“Are you being serious?” he asked incredulously.

“I’m being completely serious, Fitz.” Jemma responded, an eyeroll accompanying her exasperation at her husband. “I think it’s time.”

Fitz sighed, “But dogs are just so much work, Jemma. Are you sure we’re ready for that?”

“Exactly. I’m not ready for it, you’re not ready for it. But, I really think that the twins are. Think about it, Emmie and Ethan are seven years old. It’s time that they learn the responsibility that comes with raising a pet.”

“Yeah, they are old enough to take it seriously. But what about Skye?” Fitz responded back to her. “She’s only three years old. She won’t understand all the work that comes with a dog. Plus, then we’ll have a three-year-old and a dog running around the house. It’ll be mad.”

“Skye may only be three now and, odds are, she won’t remember everything about taking care of a pet, but Fitz, she’ll grow up with the memory of being able to love a pet. Don’t you want our children to experience the joy and love that comes with growing up around a dog? Just think, looking back on their childhood, they will remember playing with it and feeding it and teaching it tricks. It will make them so happy.” Jemma accompanied her final argument with the look in her eyes that she knew Fitz couldn’t resist. Pair that with mentioning the happiness of his children and she knew that when Fitz released a long sigh and looked over at her, she had him.

“Oh, alright. Let’s look for a dog” said Fitz as Jemma beamed back at him.  “I’m not saying adopt one right away, but maybe, let’s just entertain the idea for a bit? Okay?”

Jemma leaned towards him and placed a kiss on his cheek. “Oh Fitz, I just know this is going to be a great idea!”

“Mmm’kay. I hope you’re right.”

“Of course... After all, I’m always right.” Jemma winked at him and went back to leafing through the journal. Fitz released another long sigh and went back to reading Coulson’s report. Whatever happened next, he could blame it on Jemma. After all, she knew that he couldn’t say no to her when she smiled at him like that.
