Idea but

I imagined an Aligned adjacent au where at one point or another where all three are on a rebuilding Cybertron with their own apartments and haven't reunited until now

Starscream and Soundwave have their rid15 designs because those are beautiful as fuck in my opinion

Megs in my opinion has either a frame that's a mockup of his pre-war Megatronus frame or something similar to what we see in "Coming Home" because I fucking loved that fic

On a side note I've been running this plotline where Megs shows up somewhere and Optimus meets him while he's in jail of sorts, and Megs makes a remark about "This feels familiar, does it not?" A bittersweet moment with a helping of this exasperated fondness to it in my mind. I say this because I know in rid Starscream and Soundwave were individually hauled in for a trial, and I adore the idea of there being a rehabilitation program because yes.

I'll be honest I don't really know who Starscream should be with as in this situation I'm imagining wavewave and megop, yes. I know I did imagine Starscream having minibots / smaller sparklings, because I've been thinking about that (the frame ratios are more in favor of carrying for his rid15 frame, which is how this scenario was born.)

Pico's state firstly after getting mutated basically becomes the equivalent of teaching a child in a somewhat grown body how the world works. He wouldn't know how to read/write/do basic math or even speak proper words, just growls and clicking noises. He'd get spooked by machines and robots and most electronic devices becuz he doesn't understand them, but he'd also be transfixed by the moving pictures he sees on tv. He's gonna be distrustful of new faces he encounters and cling to Todd's side the most becuz he's the only one that gives him that sense of comfort (kinda like a baby elephant clinging to their parent's tail). He's also very territorial of his home and area.

i think how i write steven as a ""retired cryptid"" is extremely funny bc he still lives in pallet town. just in a walled-off part. he would never willingly reintegrate with society fully but just. imagine if he did at least partially. imagine if some delivery guy came to pallet town and was like asking the residents where a "mr. steven" would live and theyre all like

"The guy on the edge of the town???? The cryptid??? Our local boogeyman???" "yea that one"

Part 1 rework complete

update on my quads journey and health as a disabled therian:

my body feels like it is deteriorating, my ability to walk and stand is. not great. I can stand for about an hour without pain, but I can pull through for about 4 hours with small breaks to stretch. I can walk for half an hour without pain, and I have to sit down if I'm walking for even just an hour.

keeping this in mind, my ability to do quads hasn't really changed. in fact, I've improved! I can now canter, and I can get pretty fast! jumps are still painful, and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to fully perform them. I have only landed one, and that was about a year ago, when I had more function.

I think this is important to talk about, since quads are important to me and my nonhumanity. I feel the most like myself when I am running around on all fours. I'm focussing on my disability and the deterioration of my health and keeping myself healthy and that interferes with practicing. though I find that the stretching and working out that I do to build strength and flexibility to help with my quads does help with my general health, actual quads are likely making me worse due to the strain it puts on my body.

now I have to cope with this loss even though I don't plan on completely stopping. I already know and understand that quads are not important to being nonhuman. I know that most therians don't do them. it's just difficult, especially since it's so fun and such a release to separate myself even further from humanity.

I don't know how to finish this post, but I'm trying to keep my head up. if you read this far, thank you.

however i will say i have a soft spot for mallard ducks since to me they're like the Default duck in my head . if you say 'think of a duck' im probably thinking of a mallard . theyre also the only duck i can be trusted to identify on sight

you can howl even if youre not a wolf. you can climb trees even if youre not arboreal. you can wear a collar even if youre not domestic. you can do quads even if youre bipedal. you can nest and chirp even if youre not a bird. you can bark even if youre not a dog. you can purr and make biscuits even if youre not a cat. you can do vocals even if your species is silent. heck, you can even make yourself a yarn tail even if youre not a mammal.

there's no alterhuman police, no one is gonna come and tell you that you cant have fun with your identity. the best part of ah identities is that you literally cant do it wrong (except for being hateful to others). and maybe, youll even discover something about yourself you didnt know before!
