This is a recreation of a sign I had taken a picture of just in case I wasn’t able to gremlin it from the garbage due to it being from a defunct sushi restaurant that was getting redone for a new business. I tried to see if I could find the design online anywhere, but no, so I drew it.

I will probably turn this into stickers and other merch items

Symbolism of Poseidon

One of the most severely under-respected gods in my opinion, Poseidon is the fearsome, ruthless, yet incredibly fatherly god of the oceans and the Maritime. He controls the oceans, brings bounties of fish to the anglers, and can protect or claim sailors of the seas. He is a father to many the young gods and goddesses, a particular ally of young virgin Artemis and her brother Apollo, protecting them from the wrath of Zeus through several tales of the Greek Mythos, as well as the father figure of beautiful Aphrodite, who came form his sea foam. Many things can be associated with him, so let’s take a look at some of the symbols of king Poseidon, shall we?

• 🐚 seashells and ocean curios: as the god of the seas, it’s no wonder that shells, scales, pearls, coral, and other ocean curiosities are timeless symbols of the king Poseidon. Many an altar dedicated to his might is peppered with spiraling and intricate shells, coral branches, and other ocean treasures!

• 🌊 Waves and seafoam: the story of Aphrodite is inherently, if not directly, connected to that of Poseidon’s. It was from his domain she was born of sea-foam, and their relationship would ultimately end in an affair later on in her story. Sea-foam is now widely associated with both her and king Poseidon, and waves are also connected to the two, often felt lapping at our feet as a symbol of love, in different forms from the two gods linked to it.

• 🐬 animals: it should come as no surprise that the vast number of creatures that paint the seas are all the epithets of Poseidon, from dolphins, to crabs, to octopus, the animals of the ocean blue are all symbolic of his domain and power. Some of the more well known are the dolphin, whom Poseidon used as messengers to deliver his word, and whom often followed him. Another is the seahorse, it is said the king created the odd little creature by combining the body of a horse with that of a fish, and that his chariot was led by four mighty seahorses!

• 🦪 foods: several foods can be attributed to Poseidon, after-all, the ocean, one of the biggest sources of food globally, is apart of his domain. Oysters, sushi, lobster, are all emblemic of the plethoric abundance his domain offers hungry humans willing to brave its tides!

• 💎 gemstones: a common theme with king Poseidon is that his domain truly does reflect him, and his symbolism is inherently connected to him. A few great examples of this are Larimar, a bright blue gemstone that resembles the sea and is named after dolphins, an important epiphet of the god. or aquamarine, a stone that in Ancient Greece was believed to be a talisman sent by Poseidon to shield sailors from the wrath of the sea! Pearls are also a safe bet, nothing is more representative of the wealth and prestige of the ocean than a pearl!

• 🔱 Other symbols: Poseidon’s symbols are widespread in many forms through green mythology, tridents are his infamous weapon of choice, a powerful tool wielded by the king of the ocean, as is lightning, a powerful energy he shares with Zeus.

Boss Finn Headcannons

Out of every citizen out there besides Sylvia, Boss Finn often hangs out with Corsac. Not only Boss Finn finds not only Corsac's electric aura steady and risky for such a brave face, but he's the only one who appreciates Corsac's naturalist jokes... As long as it's water-related.

They do share a common hatred and fear of Dolphins. Finn hates it when they chase him around like a toy, steal his jewelry and collection, or even whip him hard enough for a big groan. Corsac, on the other hand, knew that sharks aren't as vile as dolphins, who were the actual tormentors of the sea. They are unpredictable and can be aggressive even when Corsac thought they were gentle and quiet. Whenever people spot Dolphins, they to stare at awe; however, Corsac and Finn only glare.

Boss Finn likes to scare Mint. It's like a big brother and little sister thing, and Mint finds it annoying. When he scared her at Halloween, she wished she could have a real scythe and slice him down like sushi. Boss Finn thinks she looks like a small pufferfish by the way her cheeks puff up at him.

Boss Finn canonically lives in a seaside shack, but that's his "Land" home while his real bed is in a lovely cavern beneath it. It's not a total wreck, but it's not too fancy either. He has the shack there to store his collection, TV, his pictures, one of sylvia's robes that she left after watch TV with him and he loves it so much like a blankie.

Boss Finn has many siblings, like Luna and Mint; however, due to their lack of parental figures and shark behaviors, they went out in their separate ways. They do write each other letters about their lives, and those who didn't.. Were probably dead.

Boss Finn used to spy on humans when he's young. He observes their behaviors, their rich goals, their fancy interests, and anything to give him a boost to the top of the human food chain. When he became a member of the underworld, he observed criminals and cons' predatory tactics to do the same.

Despite being big with ego, Boss Finn is very self-conscious of losing. His old group remind him constantly that winning is everything, and if a big shark like him fail at one thing, he's washed out. After Sylvia made him realize his new path, Boss Finn isn't afraid of losing anymore.... Especially if he has to deal with a blocky, cunning negotiator like Quinn a lot.

Boss Finn has a good talent on everything, including Make-up. He loves to put them on for Halloween, maybe some for tests, and when he and Sylvia became a thing, he put some on her as a gift! She gives him back with lipstick markings around his face~

Boss Finn is the leading champion of his people's swimming competition. They have to race across various reefs, dangerous currents, and life-threatening monsters, and those who aren't competitors cheer for the winner. This is one of the only competitions Boss Finn wouldn't cheat because he's a natural.

The only thing about the competition is that it's just a three-yearly thing and not some regular event. That's why Finn wants to pursue a business he wants to make for himself daily.

Boss Finn is a magnet to the underwater ladies and gents. They leave him offerings, try to flirt with him, and even would kill each other for him. After he became Sylvia's BF, Boss Finn tries to negotiate a plan to lessen the potential murders and jealousy... And lessen the attraction from other shark men who kept their predatory eyes on his girl.

He got into the Itsy Bitsy Kaiju obsession when he spied on a couple of teens talking about the cards and their costs. Finn then went to a hobby shop, and while searching, he discovered a pack of cards that smelled different from the rest. After opening it, he discovered a very rare card and was so proud of it. He still kept it in his binder to this day and TCG became his thing.

Boss Finn always has his hair tied cuz it takes him a long time to get it combed without tangles, and it's easier for him to comb a hold of his hair without a single loose strange on his forehead. He also likes it when Sylvia smothers her face in his hair, commenting how soft it is. He does use the best quality of shampoo and conditioner.

Finally, Boss Finn really wants to break the cycle of how shark parents aren't there for their kids. After he and Sylvia became a thing, he had dreams of having kids with her and giving them the best lives. He would spoil them, protect them, playfully scare them, and most of all... It felt like he can say "I'll always be there and I'll always love you." whenever he tucks them to sleep... Because for once in a shark's life, a father will be there to raise his kid.

-anthony going "hold on, i forgot something", going off stage, and bringing out his steam deck

-them doing the pledge of allegiance because "customs told them to" and eeeevery irish person in the crowd booing them

She waved Tsukishima goodbye and walked towards the cafe. The sound of the snow under her feet was slowly helping her calm her nerves. As she got closer to the cafe, the distant chatter became loud conversations.

She opened the door and was greeted with the ring of a bell and three cats looking at her direction immediately. She walked in smiling, and then she saw him.

Serving coffee and smiling gently to the people there that cold afternoon.

When Kageyama saw her, he waved and signalled her to wait with his hand. It was eight o’clock.

He came back without the cat apron he was previously wearing (which, she thought, was the cutest apron she’d ever seen).

“Hey,” he greeted. “Do you like sushi?”

“Yes,” she nodded. “I do.”

“Great. I booked at a restaurant nearby, me and my roommates love it. I hope you do, too.”

She was a little bit surprised by him. The last dates she’s had were at cheap pizza places. But no, Kageyama booked at a sushi restaurant he loved.

It felt more intimate. Close to him.

Then she thought that maybe her friends didn’t describe him accurately. He wasn’t as stoic, angry and mean as they described him to be.

He was actually sweet. And rather expressive. He had a calm, small smile in his face as he led her to the restaurant.

That night she learnt that he hated dolphins to death. But he loved sharks, and he said sharks were the puppies of the ocean. He talked about volleyball, and she could see in his eyes the passion he had for the sport.

And then he listened to her talk. And she felt heard.

She hid her face in her scarf and yawned.

“Do you want to go home?” He asked. She looked at him, his eyebrows were slightly raised. “Your nose is red.”

She giggled. “I’m a little bit sleepy, but I’m having a good time with you, I don’t want to leave yet.”

“We can see each other another time,” he smiled. “Besides, we’re having a double movie night this weekend.” She chuckled.

“You’re right.”

She yawned again.

“Sorry.”

“Let me take you home.”

Maybe it was because she was really sleepy, but she swore she felt his hand rubbing against hers.

Fijn was a princess in an underwater kingdom called Eclipsara.

Her father passed away when she was a dolphin calf.

When Fijn was around 6 years old, she met a dragon-puffball boy named Atlas. She saved him when he was drowning in the water. Fijn brought Atlas to her mother, hoping the queen would help him. Cerulenne didn’t accept him since he was from Halcandra.

A few years later, when she was a teenager, she met Atlas again. They became friends, and one day, Fijn approached her mother and asked her if she could marry him, but Cerulenne said no.

Fijn wanted to still be friends with Atlas, but her family (except Sushi) didn’t respect him. But she was still secretly friends with Atlas anyway.

When she got older (Now 21), she (and Atlas) joined the Galaxy Soldier Army and befriended the rest of the members.

Pontalo Continent AU Information

HydroWings full information (mostly based on the SeaWing wiki page)!

HydroWings, also known as sea/ocean dragons to humans (like the SeaWings) are the ancestors of the SeaWings and are a Pontalonian dragon tribe that currently live in their deepest palace Atlantis, in the waters near the (unnamed, but not a dragon continent) continent ShapeWing Queen Paradox fled to after the Great ShapeWing Genocide. Currently, they are ruled by Queen Dolphin, daugher of Paradox and Shape/HydroWing hybrid, and King Tiger Shark. They speak an ancient version of Aquatic and the Pontalonian dragon language.

The HydroWings fled to Atlantis after a BloodWing-controlled royal named Bull Shark caused The Great Royal HydroWing Massacre, the HydroWings realizing the full threat of the BloodWings. Only a few royals survived, including the current King Tiger Shark, prince at the time, who stopped Bull Shark.

Description:

Like their descendants, they are slightly shorter than the other tribes, with long, compact bodies and short legs. HydroWings have curved horns, a slender, curved snout, and two long barbels on the underside of their jaw. They can have forked or unforked tongues. They have huge webbed spines along their foreheads to the tips of their tails, as well as on their chests and backs of their legs, connected to their belly and tail. HydroWings have webbed talons with hooked claws, as well as long, powerful tails, with a fish tail that rapidly accelerates them through the water. They have gills on the sides of their necks that allow them to breathe underwater, although they can go deeper than SeaWings. HydroWings can also have darker striped/sea creature markings (like tiger shark stripes, orca, spots, etc.)

They usually have scale colors in shades of blues, greens, and grays. Although on some rare cases, purple, and pink scales, wings, or horns. Also, some HydroWings can have black spirals/stripe patterns like the SeaWing Nautilus. They usually have shades of blue or green eyes, and rarely purple.

HydroWings have glowing luminescent scales/stripes along their faces, bodies, and wings. All HydroWings have glowing spirals on the edges and starburst markings on the undersides of their wings, which royal SeaWings inherited, as they are the closest descendants to the HydroWings. However, non-royal Hydrowings have fainter markings.

HydroWing eggs are usually dark blue or green, and like SeaWing eggs, heavy, especially before they hatch.

Diet:

HydroWings eat fish, squid, whales, octopi, turtles, crabs, sea birds, clams, lobsters, sharks, dolphins, and sea snails. They can prepare soup, stew, roasted seagull, sushi, sashimi, and a variety of drinks.

Animus HydroWings are quite common, as animus blood is in the royal SeaWing bloodline. Most HydroWings don’t use their powers, and they aren’t very controlled closely, as most HydroWings are animus dragons.
