Made a little butterfly zoetrope, as an escape from writing a tutorial that I've been picking up and putting down for two years now 🙃

There was a difference in how she marked the people most special to her. If they were all similar, the meaning would be lost... For Talon, who was the one Jhin had been obsessing over the longest, it had always been the same.

Their lips, repeatedly. Again and again. She had practically thrown herself against them, kissing the lips. Long and desperate. There was no lovingly, only obsessively. By the time she was done, most of her lipstick had moved onto Talon's lips; both smudged from the repeated act of affirming her obsession. Electric purples stared Talon down as she ran her fingers through their hair, tangling with the longest locks and curls. "Tell me you love me, my dear Hops! Tell me you'll do anything for me! Tell me you'll bleed for me!" "Tell me, you're mine and MINE alone!"

Pinned beneath her frame, the assassin would have thought themself under attack by any other. By the time Talon had noticed the particular glint in Jhin's eye, lips had already parted, and the sudden embrace accepted. When she is not yet satisfied, Talon's eyes flutter open, desperate attempts of gasped air instead taken through the nose as lips meet again and again. Hands that had accepted her and rested upon hip and back were soon holding her in place before they were completely smothered. Hums rumble in their throat as lips barely part between her pecking, sticking together from lipstick residue.

Finally they part and Talon draws in a breath, staring wide up at her with a blush across their freckled cheeks. Their head comes to rest upon the plush back of the chaise lounge, chest rising and falling in the same manner a sprint would have left them in. Hands fall away from her, searching with little avail for a solid support between the seating and the artist's approach. But there is no escape from her touch, intertwining with untamed locks on either side of their sight. Neither is there any attempt to flee from it either, no matter the overwhelming force of her presence and attention. Concern furrows their brow. "Who else's would I be?"

Posture righting as they sit up, Talon's hand embraces a slender shoulder, teeth running over lips despite the sweet gloss. Shortening the distance between their faces once more, now they search for the reasoning for this outburst of infatuation, as if her features alone will reveal a clue. "Yes, of course I do. Of course I would. What's wrong, Jhin?"

to pick up with the aftermath of Twisted Tongue. Bit of a transition fic with Tim healing from the GSW and Damian still pissed about Talia. Set before Dick takes the boys back to Gotham.

A Duke Thomas & Harvey Dent casefic (also slight au) Duke's meta ability is a more focused future-sight.

Last Will and Testament

Justice League fic featuring Bruce dying on an alien planet and Hal Jordan being a reluctant diplomat. Dick as Robin for maximum angst. Ironing out the kinks with this one but I'm excited for it.

No Man's Land AU (Title pending)

The events of No Man's Land coupled with a no-capes AU (apocolypse fic. if i could get away with zombies i'd stick them in there). Been poking at the idea for a while now but the ~vibes~ are coalescing so maybe I'll finally get around to writing it

Dream

Post-DitF Bruce gets himself injured and is bedridden. A rogue nightmare decides to haunt him by taking the form of robin and blurring the line between dreaming and sleeping, trapping Bruce inside his own head with his memory of Jason. Of course Morpheus shows up to save the day.

perfect blue (1997) – movies to make you sick in the stomach!! first of all the animation is so gorgeous i love animated horror and i LOVE japanese horror. and then im so fascinated by the unraveling of conscience and how you can never tell what’s real. and the horror of losing control of your body and your mind like ughhhh its so well done

frances ha (2012) - oh i KNOW if i watched this when i was younger it would have done incomprehensible damage to my psyche. sometimes it’s cringy and awkward but it does have something very genuine about growing up and being a young adult. and specially abt the person you love the most in the entire world not loving you as much. well i get it i get her us awkward lame women need to stick together

welcome to the dollhouse (1995) – i think the reason why i like this so much is because it reminded me of john waters in the cynicism and the surrealism?? showing fucked up topics in the most unreal way ever?? well anyways i was an ugly child and there’s a deep truth in this movie abt children and their cruelty and how being separated from your peers feels like the end of the world

killers of the flower moon (2023) – well everyone’s talking abt this movie i don’t think there’s any point in me talking abt it. i spent 206 minutes with this deep pit in my stomach. i do think that this is going to sweep at the oscars

el conde (2023) – a movie where the chilean dictator pinochet is an immortal vampire which i just love the ideia of. the photography is gorgeous it’s mostly black and white and it’s done sooo well. it’s set mostly after pinochets reign, when he’s old and decaying, and i do wish they lingered a bit longer on the effects of the military dictatorship, but the movie balances the unbelievable cruelty and hypocrisy of that time with surreal humor. one of the characters has a certain joan of arc je ne sais quoi which was just a fun little treat for me
