now, dolce has fairytale motifs. all of them are named after fairytale princesses. sara is rapunzel, kippei is sleeping beauty, girisha is the little mermaid, and this fairytale motif goes so hard that sara has a crush on a girl whose last name is ouji (prince)

but fuuma is snow white.

kazuki is cinderella.

barefoot cinderella is a song from the wizard's perspective as he falls in love with cinderella, tries to dye her in his colours, and convince her to run away with him.

and like. oh. you're saying.... that the fairy... who gives cinderella a makeover... might be in love with her.... the one who helps deliver her to her prince... might be in love with her.... and might take her away from her prince....

and like. okay. so hadashi no cinderella can easily be applied to liphiyo. but also, as a fuuma song,,, yeah he's totally singing about kazuki, isn't he? there's literally a comic of fuuma being cinderella kazuki's fairy godmother. fuuma literally decides to be cupid for kazuki and another girl even though kazuki likes him. so you have two ships that are not just cinderella-coded, but undead cinderella-coded.

Now that I think about it, Fuuma and Girisha were probably friends before they became idols. In Fuuma's extra (when he crossdressed for the first time and showed Kazuki) Kazuki tells him something along the lines of "if you want to sound like a girl, you have to change the way you talk cuz you kinda sound like Girisha" which implies that they both were close to him before Dolce. Maybe it is because they go to the same school :D

Speaking of Girisha, I'm still confused about his hairstyle bc at some point of the manga they show that his dreadlocks are a wig and he actually has black hair, but then he appears bald at school and even at home, so retcon I guess ;-;
