hiii. i used to post some of my writing here, but i had to take a long break for study related reasons. now, i finally have the chance to come back as a writer and i couldn’t be more excited.

i'm currently working on a the rose fanfic, with the main pairing being woosung and dojoon. I'll drop some spoiler soon, hopefully.

Winter kimchi

Pairing: Park Dojoon/Leo (The Rose) x Reader; Genre: Crack, Fluff, Established Relationship AU; Rating: sfw, PG-13; Warnings: Dojoon is teasing the reader; Wordcount: 679; Event: Winter Hearts from kdiarynet; Prompt: Number 26 - “Making winter kimchi together”

Summary: You never heard of the term winter kimchi before and after some teasing you decided to make some for yourself. Much to the dismay of your boyfriend, who never expected this result after teasing you.

“Babe?” You called from the living room for your boyfriend. “I just read something on the internet.”

“What is it?”

“This blog is writing about winter kimchi. I never heard of that before.”

Dojoon came into your view, nodding his head in thought, before he grinned brightly. “So you don’t know about the seasonal kimchis?”

You raised your eyebrows in wonder and slowly shook your head no. 

He gasped in shock and clasped his hands over his chest. “I can’t believe you never heard of summer kimchi, or spring kimchi, not even autumn kimchi?”

Once again you shook your head, pouting slightly from the embarrassment of not knowing. You’ve been with Dojoon for a while now and you regularly ate kimchi but you still had no idea.

“What else is this blog writing?” Dojoon asked and came over to you, sitting down on the couch next to you. He scanned the screen of your laptop quickly, nodding at the information he got there. “Informative.”

“But it doesn’t explain the difference between the seasonal kimchis. It only explains the history of kimchi and how to make it.”

Dojoon snickered before he schooled his expression again. “Then you haven’t read it close enough.”

Your eyes flickered back to the screen immediately, reading the text over and over again. Still not getting the information you wanted, you turned back to Dojoon, seeing him smirk and a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“There are no seasonal kimchis, right?”

Dojoon bursts into laughter, falling on his side and holding his stomach. “I can’t believe you thought this was a thing!” He gasped between his giggles. Tears brimmed at the corners of his eyes and he gasped for air more repeatedly now.

You scoffed and crossed your arms in front of your chest. “Fine, you got me there but according to this blog winter kimchi exists. So let’s make it then.”

He stopped laughing and instantly straightened again, looking you right in the eyes. “Are you serious?!”

“Of course I am!”

“Uh,” Dojoon leaned closer to you again, reading over the instructions written on the blog, “sure. Seems easy enough. Do we have all the ingredients though?”

“Yep, we got everything here.”

“Hmm.”

You grinned triumphantly and stood up, pulling him along with you to the kitchen. While you took everything you needed out of the fridge, Dojoon stood in the middle of the room and just stared at your back blankly.

“And what exactly do you plan on doing with this much kimchi?” 

Dojoon stared at you in disbelief when he saw the amount of ingredients you pulled out of the fridge.

“Haven’t you read the blog?” You teased him with a smile. “They mentioned a bunch of different foods where we can add the kimchi.

“This is going to be months worth of kimchi!”

“I know. And with every passing day it will taste differently. At least according to this blog.”

Dojoon sighed and stepped next to you, knowing he couldn’t argue with you anymore. Instead he decided to lower the chaos you created around the kitchen.

You even asked him if he made winter kimchi before, or actually kimchi at all. No matter the season. It made you laugh, hearing he helped a little as a kid but never too much, so he was surprised how much work making kimchi required.

“It is indeed more work than expected.”

“I should call my mom and thank her for all the hours she spent on making kimchi,” Dojoon mumbled and wrapped his arms around your middle. “Maybe I should thank you too.”

“No need, you can make summer kimchi once this batch is all eaten.”

Dojoon laughed loudly, overshadowing your light giggles. “I’ll even invent spring and autumn kimchi for you.” Promising you that, he kissed your temple and pulled you closer against his chest. “I’ll invent whatever you want or need.”

You smiled gently and pecked his cheek. “Right now, I need a container for all this kimchi.”

“Coming right up!” He gave you another kiss before he hurried to find some containers.

Dojoon is crushing bear hugs and the fresh scent of an aftershave. He's old record shops and spending forever finding the exact vinyl you want. He's red wine for lunch and chocolate waffles for dinner. Dojoon is laughing at a joke until your stomach hurts and tears prickle your eyes. He's pressing kisses to guitar string scars and making silly faces in the mirror. He's fireworks and sparklers and shooting stars. Dojoon is sudden confessions and love that lasts like home.

Park Dojoon X reader (The Rose)

You can imagine any other idol too, its very generic to idols. Also, Hes so cute, look! Im in love. (Masterlist pinned)

You had just woken up from sleep, but you chose to keep your eyes closed and try to go back to bed. You turn to get a little more comfortable to go back to bed. You pat the bed next to you and confusion takes over. Dojoon is supposed to be there. You open your eyes to an empty bed.

It had become habitual to stay over at his in the weekends. You liked having him around all the time, it was less lonely than going back to an empty house.

“Where’d he go?” You mutter to yourself.

You sit up looking at the time and yawn. It was 4:37AM. You groan. Why’d you wake up so early? You end up wandering into the living room and hear a soft tune of the keyboard.

You see his back towards you playing the keyboard in his sleeveless white tank he usually wears to bed. He had a concert tomorrow and you recall him saying it was important and he was a little nervous about messing up this new song they recently released.

You walk over to his keyboard bench to sit next to him. You end up straddling the bench and sitting facing his side. You leave a soft trail of kisses on his shoulder and rest your head there, hugging his torso.

“Why are you up?” He asks and tilts his head to rest on yours while his fingers still play.

“You weren’t there when I turned” you pout a little without realising.

He chuckles and you could feel his body moving under you. He stops playing and uses one of his hands to cup your face. “Why are you this cute, since when?”

This pasted a big smile on your face. “Since forever” you respond looking up at him from his shoulder. You snuggle closer.

“Are you nervous about the concert?”

“A little bit, I keep messing up the chorus” he says as his hands go back to his keyboard.

“You’ll be fine, I’ll transfer some of my luck to you”, you say and move your body upward to reach his cheek to kiss it. “Here” you giggle sitting back down.

He takes his hands completely off the keyboard and turns to you.

“I think I need a lot more luck than that” demanding more kisses.

You blush. Its been 2 years and he still makes you blush like you’ve held hands for the first time. You’re so head over heels for him.

His hands had already sneaked by your waist by the time you finished the thought. He had pulled you a lot closer if that was even a possibility. His one hand on your cheek that covered your whole face. You held that hand of his before you feel his lips on yours.

Your other hand snaked up his neck to play with the back of his head and to pull his face more closer. He was so soft and gentle with you, you could melt. He made you go all jelly without the work out.

He slowly pulled away and you take a breath resting his forehead on yours.

“Move in with me” you heard him say softly.

“Lets live together, here, so I can come home to you” he almost whispers, that was enough because he was that close to you. You heard him loud and clear.

You were flustered because you wanted to for a while now. Thats why you’d come over every weekend because you hated going back to an empty apartment, it made you feel so alone.

He notices the small smile that creeps up your face realising its a yes.

You nod smiling brightly at him. “I’d love that”

He kisses you with a lot more force this time. He was happy you said yes. You were happy he asked.

You stand up the second you pull away. “Let’s go sleep a little more please?” You hold out your hand for him to take it. You glance the clock in his living room - in YOUR living room. You smile at the thought.

He takes your hand but suddenly you’re upside down. He had put you over his shoulder, you held on to his torso for dear life, you know he won’t drop you.

“This luck transfer you speak of, I definitely need more of it” he says walking towards the bedroom with you over his shoulder.

You blush, you know exactly what he means.

“Its 5am in the morning!” you squeal giggling, blood had all rushed to your face not sure if it was what he said or this upside down position you were in.

“Its a Saturday”

Probably will be one of those fics that are just randomly edited but really this is just practice because I need to get comfortable with writing for Woosung and break up aus.

It started gradually. ”I'm sorry babe, the boys and I got held up.”

And you were forgiving, ”It's fine,” naive.

Then he was an hour late, then two, and eventually there were nights where he never arrived. You didn't mention it, you knew how his company was. He had a career, and he was working hard for it. Why else would he be gone so often?

And soon enough, he was just avoiding you. You weren't stupid, you know he was purposely trying to keep away from you, and it broke your heart to not know why.

”Hey, Sammy?” you stammer, voice cracking when you see him freeze, his eyes looking for an excuse. ”C-can we talk?”

Nodding stiffly, he sauntered over to where you're seated on the couch, planting himself beside you. Panicked, uncomfortable breaths leave him, ”Yeah… What's up, babe?”

You shiver, rubbing your arm, ”I love you so much Woosung,” you bite your cheek, nipping at the flesh, ”With all my heart. So,” you sniff, hands clutching your shirt for some sort of comfort, ”If you're done with me, you can break up with me. You don't have t-to feel bad.”

Woosung slumps slightly, eyes glued to your fiddling fingers. He was done with you, over you, but he couldn't bring himself to break your heart. ”[Y/N], I-I'm so sorry…”

Shaking your head at him, you cut his words off, “Don't be. I'm not the most observant, but I'm not dumb. Just rip it off, like a band-aid,” smiling sadly through your watery eyes.

Seeing as he was still frozen, mouth opening and closing gently whilst his gaze traveled from your hands to his feet, then the ceiling, you frown deeper, “If you don't do it, I will.”

He stayed quiet for a moment, unsure if this was even real. You were telling him to break up with you, putting his heart before your own, and he just didn't know how to process that. Feeling his eyes sting with tears, he turned to you, his eyes and brows knitting together, “[Y/N], we're over.”

“I know,” you huff, the puddles finally spilling from your eyes. He was your first boyfriend, and you thought he'd be your last, what a joke. Mustering the last of your emotional strength, you sob, “Can you tell me what happened, between us?”

“I…” He gulped, “I don’t love you anymore.”

You nodded, the last buts of your heart shattering, your body trembling ever so slightly, stiff. “Why? What did I do? What about me wasn’t good enough?”

“You were perfect,” choking, he brushes a hair out your face, tucking behind your ear, “So sweet, caring, beautiful. You did nothing wrong... it just happened.”

Holding the hand that rested on your cheek, you tilt your head up, fanning yourself with your free hand. “I still love you.”

“I know,” He sighed, the tears finally escaping his eyes, “I know.”
